Lily: Yeah, I've been to these things before -- casting calls and go-sees -- [Chuckling] And they are so nerve-racking.
Tyler: Yeah?
Lily: Uh, Chloe and Chelsea will be here soon. They just went to go get some coffee, so...
Tyler: So, uh, how many girls are we seeing?
Lily: Uh, I've got it down to 10. So, they're all pretty new to the business.
Tyler: Well, green is good. Yeah, new faces, excitement, that brand-new feeling that you get -- you know, gets your heart pumping.
Lily: [Chuckles]
Tyler: We need to capture that rush.
Lily: Yeah.
Tyler: You know what? That's what we need to be selling, 'cause that is what everyone wants... is... [Sighs]
Lily: [Chuckles]
Cane: I would love to get you some water, but I can't before surgery. Listen, everything's gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine.
Kay: You know this how? Ah, your medical degree? Ah, your private talk with God? Cane, they're going to be cutting me open, removing a tumor, biopsying it to look for cancer. Now, what part of that sounds fine to you?
Cane: You're right. I don't know. I'm sorry.
Kay: No, don't try and humor me. This is exactly why I wanted to be alone!
Jill: Hey! Hold it down. There are sick people here.
Kay: How did you --
Murphy: How did we find out? We just did. Tough noogies.
Jill: Yeah. You're stuck with us, and, God help us, we're stuck with you.
Cane: [Chuckles]
Faith: [Gasps]
Sharon: Mmm, something smells good in here.
Nick: Oh, yeah. Killer blueberry muffins. Avery's recipe. What -- what's that? I mean, look at them. I made those with these hands right here. Just try one, and then you can tell Avery how delicious they are.
Faith: Why can't Avery just stay away?
Avery: What are you doing? Yeah, I can see it's an application. I'm wondering what you are doing here, still, that you're able to fill this out. [Sighs] Dylan, you were supposed to have left town by now. I asked you about it earlier, and you hedged and you stalled, and then Nick came in, and you bolted. Will you just please tell me? Why are you still here?
Dylan: Things have changed.
Chloe: Yo. Hey, we're closed. Why don't you take it somewhere else?
Adam: Ever so charming, as always, Chloe. Just devastated that we're not in business with each other anymore. Chelsea, here's a gift for you.
Chelsea: Don't do this.
Adam: No, no, no. This gift you're actually gonna enjoy. It's our divorce papers, signed, finalized. So, now you can go out and celebrate. Go have sex with a stranger. Scratch that. You already did.
Nikki: I think we should go out tonight, and I am thinking of On the Boulevard.
Victor: Ugh.
Nikki: [Chuckles]
Victor: Billy Boy's new place? Funny that both our son and son-in-law embarked upon the same path. I guarantee that Nicholas will be successful, and Billy Boy will run the joint into the ground before we know it.
Nikki: Or it might be successful, as well, and he and Victoria will be very happy, but, in any event, I happen to love their scallops, so let's just go for the sake of family.
Victor: Victoria married Billy, but he's an Abbott. He ain't part of our family.
Nikki: I remember a time when you used to say that same thing about your new golden child, Adam.
Adam: So, I guess we're done here. You got your divorce papers, the financial settlement. We're good.
Chelsea: I offered to give that back.
Adam: You know, I'm curious. I do have one question. When I cut you that big, fat check, were you pregnant before or after?
Chelsea: Stop it.
Adam: You were a con to the very core, Chelsea, literally begging me to leave Genoa City, head to Paris. Here you are -- you didn't go anywhere, so it must... we should have gone to Paris together. That way, you could have gotten pregnant with some Jean-Claude something-or-other instead of --
Chloe: Okay. You know what? What kind of sick bastard hammers away at a woman who's pregnant with hi--?
Chelsea: Hey! I don't need you fighting my battles, and I don't need you in my face. Thanks for the papers.
Adam: You're very welcome. Dylan McAvoy has no idea what's in store for him. Better him than me.
Chelsea: [Sighs]
Dylan: My bags were packed -- again. I was headed out of town -- again. You're marrying Nick, so, obviously, there's no reason for me to stay here.
Avery: Okay, but here you are applying for a job, so what's changed?
Dylan: It's just -- I started thinking about...what's in Chicago for me? There's nothing there. You know? Mom and Dad are gone. My family -- that included you, too, but now --
Avery: [Sighs] I can't. I can't be your family. You know that I am making my life with Nick.
Dylan: Avery, Avery, I know, and I'm glad that you're gonna have a good life. It's the same thing I want, and now I may have a shot again.
Avery: I don't understand.
Dylan: I'm -- I'm gonna be a father.
Jill: Oh, stop glaring at him because he's a loving human being. [Scoffs] Something you, by the way, would know nothing about.
Cane: [Clears throat]
Kay: Insulting is such a great help, and I cannot thank you enough for coming.
Murphy: Wait a minute. If anyone gets to get ticked off, it's me. What if you just waltzed in here without telling anyone... and something happened?
Kay: Well, something just may happen. The fact that you know certainly doesn't make the surgery less risky.
Murphy: Will you quit arguing? Look, I have a right to hold your hand and call you "Old Girl." I am your husband. There are things we have to talk about before you go in there... like if a thing happens or what you want.
Kay: Oh, now, suddenly, it's what I want that matters?
Cane: Okay. If Lily was having surgery and nobody told me, all right, I mean --
Kay: That's different.
Jill: How is that different?
Cane: All right. I love my wife, all right? And Murphy loves you, and I know you don't want hand-holding and I know you don't want "I love yous," okay, but Murphy deserves his time, all right? So does Jill. We all do.
Murphy: [Sighs]
Tyler: Carson? We're gonna get started shortly. You want water? It's a trick I learned. Gives you something to do with your hands. I'll get you some.
[Pops lips]
Lily: Is this how you do business -- by flirting?
Tyler: What? It puts a little color in a girl's cheek. How is that a bad thing?
Lily: Oh, well, I am sure your new girlfriend will be thrilled.
Tyler: Oh, oh, I have a girlfriend now?
Lily: Well, you had dinner with somebody.
Tyler: It's called a date, all right? People who aren't married -- they go on them all the time.
Summer: Lily, hi.
Lily: Hey, Summer.
Summer: Hi. Okay, I am so excited to intern here, so tell me what I can do to just jump in.
Lily: [Chuckling] Okay. Well, a good attitude is a great start.
Summer: [Chuckles]
Lily: We're gonna do a casting session for Jabot's new fashion line, so we'll get started as soon as Chloe and Chelsea get here.
Summer: Um, Chloe and Chelsea?
Lily: Yeah, it's her line. She's the designer. You didn't know that?
Summer: No, I knew. I just, um -- I just -- you know, I'm the intern, and she's the designer, so I didn't think I'd actually see her.
Lily: Oh, no, she's really involved. This line is like her baby, so... [Chuckles] Yeah, I mean, you basically hit the intern jackpot by being able to work here.
Summer: Um, yeah, you know, uh, I just -- I think that there are other people that are better qualified to intern here, so I'm just gonna go back to the main office and talk to Neil and Jack about it, so...
Lily: Uh...
Victor: Good morning.
Adam: Good morning? Well, you're half right.
Victor: What are you looking for?
Adam: The Bryant proposal. I want to close the deal today.
Victor: It has already been closed.
Adam: By who -- you?
Victor: Who the hell do you think? Do you have a problem with that?
Adam: Well, I'm the C.E.O., so, yeah, I guess I would have a problem with somebody closing a deal without me.
Victor: Son, I did you a favor, okay? Obviously, you're bothered by a lot of other things.
Adam: And the subtle mention of Chelsea makes my day all the more brighter.
Victor: Do I need to remind you that I'm here at your request? My goal is to help you and Newman.
Adam: Or is your goal to hunker down and just give me no option but to get out?
Nick: Okay. So, things are a little tricky right now because I really like having Avery around, and it's starting to sound like maybe you don't. Now, Faith, I'm not gonna tell you who you should and shouldn't like, but I just want you to know that Avery's very special to daddy, and if she didn't come around anymore, that would make me sad.
Sharon: Daddy knows that you love him, Honey, and he knows that you wouldn't want him to be sad... just like mommy and daddy wouldn't want you to be sad, but I think you are a little, right?
Nick: You know that you can tell your mom and me anything. I mean, that's what being a family is -- knowing that we can get through anything together, no matter what.
Faith: If you marry Avery, we won't be a family anymore.
Avery: A baby?
Dylan: Yeah, I think the look on your face is exactly how I looked when Chelsea told me.
Avery: Chelsea? [Sighs]
Dylan: Newman. You know her?
Avery: [Sighs] I'm marrying Nick Newman. Chelsea was married to his brother Adam. Yes, I know who Chelsea Newman is. [Sighs] The mother of your child. Wow.
Dylan: It was the night my dad died. It was just one night... and now...I just never thought I... I mean, I didn't -- I didn't plan --
Avery: It's not always planned, is it?
Nick: Okay, do you remember how your grandma and grandpa just got remarried? And they weren't married for a really long time, right? Your mom and I -- we haven't been married for a while. That doesn't mean we're not a family. We live in separate houses, but the three of us will always be a family, just like with Phyllis. And your Aunt Victoria. And Uncle Billy and Summer and Noah and all your cousins. See, Sweetheart, your family just keeps getting bigger and bigger. And when I marry Avery, we're still gonna be a family.
Sharon: Your mommy and daddy love you very much, no matter what.
Faith: Yeah, me, too.
Sharon: Aww.
Nick: I love you so much. [Smooches] Now, listen -- your grandma may have gotten you a new "Bumpy the Camel" book in your room -- maybe. Go check.
Faith: [Giggles]
Nick: Well, you did not roll me under the bus with Faith. I know, uh, you think my engagement's a little fast.
Sharon: What I think about your engagement is one thing. No matter what, I want Faith to be happy.
Nick: Avery told me Faith told her she hated her. I [Sighs] Was, like, "No way." No way she'd say that to her.
Sharon: Faith just needs to be reminded that she's your priority. She really liked Avery before the engagement. She'll get back there.
Nick: So, how are things with you -- you know, after Newman? No more drama? No more craziness, highs, lows?
Sharon: Cute.
Nick: What?
Sharon: Do you mean life after Newman Enterprises or Adam Newman?
Nick: It was just a question.
Sharon: [Sighs] I don't need your approval on my romantic life any more than you need mine on yours.
Nick: No, you're just -- you're looking out for our family and Faith, just like me, but for your sake and for Faith's, I just want to see you keep moving forward.
Victor: I know this is a very difficult period for you. Um... you know, sometimes life imposes itself on business. That's as it should be.
Adam: Well, I'm sorry if I'm not willing to believe in emotional fairy tales right now, and if you're being extra nice to me, then that must mean that this is really bad, but I guess you can't put spin on the fact that your wife got pregnant with another man.
Victor: [Sighs]
Adam: You know, we were supposed to have a child... together -- a family. Yet here I stand before you, a family of one.
Victor: You're my son, and you have a family.
Adam: You know what, Dad? I don't want to get into it right now, okay? So we're just gonna ride this out. It's not a good day.
Victor: Listen to me. I said, "You’re my son." If you have anything to say, say it.
Adam: That's right. I'm your son, and you're my father... today. So, you haven't written me off or disowned me this week.
Victor: I know, Adam, that we have both said things that we wish we hadn't, but here we are now, and we're gonna run this company together, okay?
Adam: So, should I sit on your lap?
Victor: Where you sit, we'll decide later. But you saved my life. I will never forget that. You're my son. This is our company now.
Adam: You talk a good game. There's only one way to know if you really mean it.
Victor: What do you have in mind, Son?
[Purse slams]
Chloe: I hope you're not trying to weasel your way into this company by auditioning. Are you?
Summer: I was just leaving. -- Look, I didn't mean -- and, no, I am not auditioning.
Chloe: Okay.
Tyler: Look, wait. Just because she's not on the list doesn't mean that she can't audition.
Lily: No, wait. Summer's an intern, not a model, and she just resigned from the position, so...
Tyler: So? That doesn't mean she still can't audition anyway. I mean, we said we weren't looking for experienced models, right? She got a fresh face. She's young, hip. She's not associated with any major brand or vibe, and she's got great bone structure.
Summer: I do?
Tyler: You do, but we won't know what the camera sees until we take some shots.
Chloe: Wait, I'm sorry. Last time I checked, I thought you were in marketing. Did you design this line?
Tyler: All right, you know, it's Chelsea's line, so it's your call. What do you think? Do we give this girl a shot?
Cane: All right, listen -- no one is gonna apologize for loving you, Katherine.
Kay: Love is fine. Interfering is not.
Cane: [Sighs] All right, listen -- I'm not gonna lie to you. Through all these doctors' meetings, I'm the one who's scared, all right? Maybe I'm the one who needs Murphy and Jill here, okay? That's it.
Kay: You're right.
Jill: Sorry? No, I didn't catch that.
Kay: I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to Cane. This is a lot to, uh -- to put on you, and I'm -- I'm really sorry.
Cane: You don't have to be sorry. I'm honored that you treat me like family.
Jill: He means when you're rude to him.
Cane: And I want to be here for you. We all do.
Murphy: [Sighs]
Cane: So, let us.
Kay: [Sighs] [Chuckling] You're right. I'm just -- I'm just a grumpy, crabby old lady. [Chuckles]
Murphy: [Clears throat] And I'm just a crabby, grumpy old man you married...who loves you more than anything in the world.
Jill: Well, personally, I could take you or leave you, but I do love a good hospital vigil.
Cane: [Chuckles]
Kay: [Chuckling] Oh, God. Oh, by the way, would you call, um, Esther and Nina...
Jill: Mm.
Kay: ...Brock...um, Devon?
Jill: Yeah.
Kay: Inform them what's going on, too.
Jill: Okay.
Murphy: Yep. You got it. [Smooches] Pretty as the day I first saw you.
Jill: Oh, come on. That's 'cause you dragged her out of the river when she was unconscious.
[All chuckle]
Murphy: Okay, I'll call Brock.
Jill: Would you take Esther, please? She'll sob so hard, the tears will come through the cell phone. I'll take Nina and Devon.
Murphy: Okay.
Cane: That was very brave of you, and I'm impressed.
Kay: Well, you're going to be even more impressed because I'm going to ask you a favor.
Cane: Anything.
Kay: I haven't said what it is yet.
Cane: It doesn't matter what it is. Anything.
Kay: It... should I not get through this surgery...
Cane: You are gonna make it through the surgery.
Kay: Cane, you see, Dear, you cannot control that.
Cane: I'm sorry. If you don't make it through the surgery...?
Kay: If I don't make it through the surgery, if there's complications, and, say, I'm -- I'm incapacitated, I want you in charge.
Cane: In charge of what, your plans?
Kay: Not my funeral, no. No! I want you in charge. I want you to run Chancellor. Hmm?
Cane: You want me to run Chancellor? What about Neil?
Kay: He's at Jabot.
Cane: Yeah, but, I mean, I'm sure he'd love to come back. He's run Chancellor before. What about -- what about Jill? I mean, she would love to run the company. You know that.
Kay: Well, now, that's the problem. I would like my voice to be heard whether I'm here or... somewhere else. You said you wanted to help. Well, this is what I need. I have to have an answer before they put me under.
Nikki: I am so grateful. You have a way of explaining things without making me feel like an idiot. [Chuckles]
Dr. Costner: Well, if I can be of any help, just give me a call.
Nikki: Ah, thank you, Dr. Costner.
Dr. Costner: Nikki, we've known each other for how many years?
Dr. Costner: "Kurt," please.
Nikki: [Chuckling] Okay, Kurt.
Jill: Hello, Kurt.
Dr. Costner: Hey.
Jill: Um, I'm an old friend of Nikki's. So, how do you know each other?
Nikki: Uh, well, he's a doctor. This is a hospital.
Jill: You're Katherine's doctor, aren't you? And she called you, didn't she? She didn't call anybody else in the family, but she let dear, sweet Nikki know.
Nikki: What the hell are you talking about?
Jill: And if there's anything else to be known about her operation, I'm the one you should be talking to, okay?
Nikki: What operation? What operation?
Jill: You weren't talking about the operation?
Nikki: Dr. Costner is not Katherine's doctor. I'm sorry, Kurt. Please excuse us.
Dr. Costner: Certainly.
Nikki: What surgery are you talking about?
Jill: Katherine has a tumor.
Nikki: What?
Jill: She's having it removed and biopsied today.
Nikki: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That's what she was talking about the other night at the restaurant -- a tumor.
Jill: So, she did tell you.
Nikki: No, no. She just mentioned a medical condition. She didn't get into it, and why is it the point now, anyway?
Jill: It's important 'cause she didn't tell her family, except for Cane. She didn't want us to worry.
Nikki: Oh, well, that's ridiculous.
Jill: Well, for once, I agree with you, okay? [Voice breaking] It's far too dangerous a procedure. Anything could happen in the O.R.
Cane: I said to you, "Whatever you want," and I meant it. So, if you want me to run Chancellor, I will do that for you, okay?
Kay: Thank you.
Cane: All right, but it better not come to that, because if Jill has nowhere to aim her fire, she's gonna unload all over the world.
Kay: [Chuckles]
Cane: [Chuckling] Okay?
Kay: Oh, Cane, you make me smile. You're a good man. You really are a good man.
Cane: Please.
Kay: I'm so -- no, I am... I'm so glad that you've become part of my life.
Cane: Don't do this. Don't talk like this.
Kay: No, I get to say this. You have given me such peace of mind.
Cane: Ohh.
Kay: No, no, no, no, no. And I am ever so grateful.
Cane: [Smooches]
Lily: Okay, everybody just calm down. You're all expecting Chelsea to give some answer, and there's no reason to put her on the spot.
Summer: Okay, look -- I didn't come to make your life harder. I was trying to leave before you got here.
Tyler: If there's some history I don't know about, I mean, we're all professional. We can deal.
Summer: Yeah, actually, I'm just an intern, and I was leaving.
Chelsea: Wait. Come here. [Sighs] Look... that was an awful night -- the car accident. I still carry it with me, and I can see that you do, too. I don't blame you, Summer.
Summer: But you have to.
Chelsea: No, I used to... but I was wrong.
Summer: But if I didn't, then -- then your baby --
Chelsea: There are awful accidents in life. And there are amazing ones. I'm getting a second chance, and I think that you deserve one, too.
Victor: Well, what is it you want?
Adam: The office.
Victor: You mean this office?
Adam: I am C.E.O.
Victor: You know... Sharon had a corner office with a beautiful view. It's vacant.
Adam: What ever happened to being family? "We're in this together"?
Victor: Well, Son, you probably didn't see -- there's a line around this desk and around this chair.
Adam: Oh, yeah?
Victor: Yeah.
Adam: What, do you want to arm-wrestle for it?
Victor: Oh. You better be careful with that. I eat my spinach every night. [Blows]
Adam: [Chuckles]
Victor: You want to take that on, huh? You want to try me?
Adam: You know what? [Chuckles] I don't care. I'll -- I'll take Sharon's office.
Victor: [Chuckling] Well... you remember, her perfume is probably still wafting through the corridor there. [Inhales deeply] [Chuckles] Son... where the hell is it? Oh, here we go.
[Keys jingle]
Victor: Keys to the penthouse. Time for you to move out of that musty old mansion.
[Keys jingle]
[Keys clatter]
Adam: So, that cash deal we negotiated in the hospital -- that was real, huh?
Victor: Well, we shook hands on it, didn't we?
Adam: We did, indeed.
Victor: That is as good as it gets.
Adam: Yeah, well, it might be for me, but, uh, there might be a few other people that want to see a signature or some paperwork.
Victor: Well, we'll do that tomorrow, you know. And then, of course, you still have to pay for it.
Adam: That is the Victor Newman I recognize. [Keys jingle] Everything at a price.
Victor: You got that right, Son.
Adam: Enjoy the chair.
Victor: Oh, I will. You know I will. [Chuckles]
Nikki: You were gonna keep this a secret?
Kay: Oh, come on. You're a fine one to talk.
Nikki: That's true... but I have to say I am so relieved that everybody knows about my M.S.
Kay: I hate knowing it, Nikki. But thank God you finally told me.
Nikki: Saying the words out loud makes the diagnosis real, and seeing the fear in others' eyes makes you feel your own fear. The only thing we can do is let the people who love us get us through this.
Murphy: [Sighs]
Kay: Oh, it's time?
Murphy: Okay, Girl... you hurry back to me.
Kay: [Chuckles]
Jill: I love you.
Kay: I know that.
Cane: I love you, too.
Kay: I love you.
Cane: All right. Let's go.
Kay: I love all of you -- all of you!
Murphy: [Sighs]
Nick: Can I offer you something? Blueberry muffin?
Avery: Um, did you make those?
Nick: Yeah. Tried to bribe Faith with them. She didn't even take a bite.
Avery: Yeah, that's because you told her they were my recipe, and she hates me. Look, it makes sense. I'm this woman that's taking time away from her and her daddy.
Nick: Well, Sharon and I had a talk with her. Faith is just worried about losing her family. I don't think she even remembers me and Sharon being together, but she's used to how things are and the people in her life. Shifting from life with Phyllis was hard enough. I can't keep yanking my daughter around like that.
Avery: No, of course not.
Nick: I love you. And I want to marry you. But I can't take that step until I know you're completely over Dylan.
Chloe: You know, you can always change your mind. I mean, you can just say, "Forget that. Take a hike, Summer."
Chelsea: Yeah, but what if Tyler's right and she's the perfect face for our brand?
Chloe: Well, yeah, she's super cute, but, you know, there was a time that I thought I was gonna die if I didn't have Billy Abbott? I mean, that's hideous, right? And you -- you thought that Adam was the perfect guy.
Chelsea: And that came out of nowhere.
Chloe: I'm just saying that if you booted Summer, someone good or even better could come along. Someone better always comes along -- I mean, Kevin for me and somebody for you... like Sir Hunkalot... Dylan McAvoy.
Chelsea: You are relentless.
Chloe: And adorable. You know, he's sitting over there on the patio. Why don't you go say, "Hi"? See if he wants to feel the baby kick.
Chelsea: [Sighs] First of all, the baby is not kicking yet. Secondly, I think I've ruined the guy's life enough for now.
Chloe: You gave him an out. You told him that he didn't have to be the daddy. That was very generous of you.
Chelsea: Because he's not the daddy. That's hardly generous.
Chloe: Come on. Your baby daddy has eyes that you could swim in. Be grateful. Be glad. You are free of Adam for good. Do it.
Sharon: [Clears throat] So, what are we doing here?
Adam: This is my new place. No expense spared. Hell of a view. Got it at a decent price.
Sharon: From Victor?
Adam: The former owner, yes.
Sharon: Okay. So, you bought this from Victor? Now you live here?
Adam: You know how people burn sage to smudge, to put a good vibe in a new place?
Sharon: You...want me to... help you burn sage? I mean, where do you even buy sage?
Adam: No. I want you to do this.
[Purse clatters]
[Notes play]
Lily: I like her.
Tyler: Oh so, I was right? Huh? I was right?
Lily: Oh, God.
Tyler: Go ahead. You can say it. "Tyler was so right."
Lily: I'm sorry. I didn't know that you needed that kind of reassurance. I thought that you were a confident guy.
Tyler: Okay, I see what you just did there.
Lily: Uh-huh.
Tyler: You were trying to put me on the defense 'cause you know that you're wrong.
Lily: You know. Uh-huh.
Tyler: That's all right. I can handle that.
Lily: [Laughs] Oh, right, 'cause you're so tough.
Tyler: That's right.
Lily: Yeah.
Tyler: Just don't lock me in a stalled elevator, and I'm all good.
Lily: [Chuckling] Yeah, I remember that.
[Rumbling]
Lily: Hey. Oh, my God. Tell me Katherine's okay.
Cane: She's still in surgery. I just, uh -- I had to come and see you.
Lily: Yeah, do you want -- let's go there together. We'll wait together. That's fine.
Cane: I was hoping you'd say that.
Lily: Of course, yeah. Anything you want. I'm with you.
Cane: Okay.
Lily: Come on.
[Rumbling]
Adam: Well, lucky you, Gloria. You get a commission on the same house three times in as many years. No. I want it all gone -- the furniture, the house, all of it. You can do that, right? Thank you.
Chelsea: Hi.
Dylan: Hey. Uh, do you -- do you want to sit down?
Chelsea: You do know I'm not gonna faint or anything, right?
Dylan: Oh, yeah, no big deal. You're just carrying around another human being.
Chelsea: [Sighs]
Dylan: Ginger ale? Do you need crackers?
Chelsea: Oh, morning sickness? No, that's over and done with, thank God. Although, um -- although I know for some people, it lasts longer. For me, I just had two days of "Blech" and went straight to the cravings, so...
Dylan: Uh, how about hot chocolate, uh, with some ginger?
Chelsea: You so made that up.
Dylan: Yeah, I did. Sounds kind of gross.
Chelsea: [Laughs] Truthfully, I've just been craving everything chili sauce, chili flakes and everything heat and heat and more heat.
Dylan: Oh, I'm sorry. That's my fault. The kid got my spice gene. [Sighs] They got to have something in here, maybe some ginger ale. I'll -- I'll check, okay?
Chelsea: You really don't have to do that.
Dylan: No, no. It's okay. Sit down.
Chelsea: [Chuckles]
Dylan: Just...go ahead.
Chelsea: Oh, my God.
Dylan: Just sit down.
Chelsea: Okay. I'm okay.
Dylan: You're okay?
Chelsea: I'm okay.
Dylan: Okay.
Chelsea: [Chuckles]
Dylan: Okay.
Chelsea: Okay.
Dylan: Okay.
Avery: Nick, when I came to town, I was broken. I was trying to erase my memories of Dylan. I hurt my sister in the process. And then time passed, and I started to reassemble from all my broken parts. And when we got back together and started again, I felt this joy. And I was -- I was smiling. I couldn't stop smiling [Chuckles] And laughing and baking. I was whole again... for the first time in a long time... because of you. I did love Dylan, but that's over, and he and I have both moved on.
Nick: Then why is he still in town?
Avery: Uh... f-for his baby. Chelsea Newman is pregnant, and Dylan is the father. Nick? I swear to you, my heart is all yours.
Nick: Is it 'cause you love me...or 'cause Dylan's no longer an option?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Chelsea: This is the guy that I was telling you about.
Anita: So, when are you and Chelsea getting married?
Adam: I came here to play cards like we did last week. Are you back in action, Billy?
Victoria: Back in action with what?
Nick: You have never, ever let go of Dylan.
Avery: Are you calling off our engagement?
