Avery: Good morning. You let me sleep in.

Nick: Yeah.

Avery: Well, uh, can I help you find something?

Nick: Baking powder.

Avery: Baking powder?

Nick: Mm-hmm.

Avery: Okay, here you go.

Nick: Oh, thank you.

Avery: What are we making?

Nick: We are making pancakes. Now, disclaimer, these are not gonna be their usual awesomeness, because Faith is not here to put in her secret ingredient.

Avery: Ah, which is?

Nick: Honestly, I have no clue. She won't tell me, but I have everything else I need.

Avery: Chocolate chips?

Nick: Yeah, those are for the eyes.

Avery: Mm-hmm.

Nick: Little hunks of strawberry for the nose, and banana for the mouth. Now faith always likes mouse ears on her pancakes, which I can do, but I can also do a snowman.

Avery: Oh. Well, that would be nice. I think I even have some frozen blueberries that I can--

Nick: Oh, okay.

Avery: That I can--mm. Mm. Last night was very, very nice.

Nick: Yes, it was.

Avery: But that doesn't mean that it wasn't a huge mistake.

Summer: Hi.

Phyllis: Oh, hey, you're here.

Summer: Yeah, uh, you asked me to come, so this is me being a good daughter.

Phyllis: Well, y-yeah, I just--you didn't respond to any of my calls, so I just thought it was no.

Summer: Oh, well, I-I don't really have much time before lunch is over, so...

Phyllis: Oh, it's okay. You know what? I had plans, but I'm gonna cancel them. I would much rather spend time with you.

Summer: Yeah, you know what, Mom? Never mind. Look, if you don't have time for me, then it's--whatever.

Phyllis: No. Uh, Summer, it's not that I don't have time for you, you know, but honestly, if you give me that attitude, I-I don't.

Summer: Mom, I'm sorry.

Kevin: Hey. Uh, thanks for coming. Michael, I'm sorry about the way I acted before.

Michael: Uh, so you said. (Sighs) What is it you need?

Kevin: I need to borrow some money, or I'm gonna lose my house.

Paul: So what are your plans for the day?

Chris: Um, I am headed to New York.

Paul: Oh?

Chris: Yeah. Uh, Danny's there. I wanted to meet up with him. I thought I should tell him that you and I-- that we're...

Paul: What are we?

Chris: Maybe it's easier for me to tell Danny that he and I are over.

Kyle: Corcoran came through for us. Here's the contract.

Jack: Excellent. Have you seen Phyllis?

Kyle: Yeah, she just left with Summer. They went to, um, what's the name of that new place?

Jack: Uh, On the Boulevard. (Groans) How about you? You hungry? You want to have some lunch?

Kyle: Uh, sure.

Jack: Well, I mean, if you have other plans, just--

Kyle: No, no, it's not that, it's just, I don't want you to overdo it.

Jack: I can sit and be waited on. I-I-I'm sorry, I'm--I think it's just getting to me, everybody treating me like I'm a delicate flower.

Kyle: All right, I promise not to give a damn about what happens to you.

Jack: There, that's more like it. Lunch?

Kyle: Sure. I'll meet you downstairs?

Jack: All right, I'll be there in a minute. (Groans) Ohh.

Paul: So your trip to see Danny-- is it because of what happened with Nina and me or I mean, do you think you owe it to me?

Chris: I owe it to him. It's not like we were making plans for the future or--or anything like that. I just--I would hate if he heard it from anyone but me. Besides, this will give you some uninterrupted time to weigh your decision that you're talking about.

Paul: You mean my decision about my career or us?

Chris: Both. These last few months have been a roller coaster.

Paul: So you think my feelings for you are a reaction to all the recent chaos?

Chris: I think it's possible. Don't you? That when things calm down, you might feel differently?

Paul: No.

Chris: Okay, well, if you do, I would understand that.

Paul: Well, look, understand this-- I know what I want. I want you. So hurry back.

Kevin: I took out a loan. I put the money into the business.

Michael: Which you're now losing.

Kevin: No, we're-- we're being bought out, so as soon as I get the money from Tucker, which is gonna be soon, I could pay you back, and I tried to get the bank to wait a few weeks, but they're being unreasonable.

Michael: How much?

Kevin: $10,000.

Kevin: (Exhales sharply) Thank you. Thank you. I won't forget about this.

Michael: Until the next time I tell you no about something.

Kevin: I deserve that.

Michael: Yes, you do. I know you've convinced yourself that I get some kind of sick thrill out of watching you screw up and then coming to your rescue. Believe me, I am so sick of it. I wrote that check for Chloe and Delia. They shouldn't have to lose their home, but if you keep going down this path with the same attitude, they may leave anyway, and you'll lose something a whole lot more valuable than that house.

Lauren: I was beginning to think we would never see you.

Jill: Ah, well, you might not have if it hadn't been for this Katherine situation.

Lauren: Yes, I heard you were considering an arrangement with her, sharing the C.E.O. job at chancellor. Well, let's see. That should be interesting for everyone involved.

Jill: (Chuckles) All right, go ahead, say it.

Lauren: Have you lost your ever-loving mind?

Jill: (Laughing)

Kevin: Mr. Hennessy? Uh, this is Kevin Fisher. Listen, um, if I come in with a $10,000 payment, we're good, right? Right. Okay, I'll see you soon.

Chloe: (Clears throat) Is that from Michael?

Kevin: Yeah.

Chloe: Was it mortifying?

Kevin: Uh, yeah, a little bit, but we're only gonna be in his debt a couple days. As soon as Tucker pays us, I can repay Michael.

Chloe: Then what, Kevin? We haven't solved the real problem.

Nick: Last night couldn't possibly have been a mistake. I just don't believe in that anymore. There's no such thing. It's my new philosophy.

Avery: Whoa, whoa, whoa. No such thing as a mistake? You have just blown this perfectionist's mind.

Nick: Well, it's how you choose to look at it. In life, there are things you explore, things you try, things you do. There are also some things that you hold back from.

Avery: Ah, so holding back-- that would be the mistake?

Nick: Wow, you're really not getting this at all.

Avery: Okay, you know what I'm gonna take from this is that you're not sorry that you spent the night.

Nick: Not even a little bit. You?

Avery: No, I'm not sorry... but I do have qualms. Can one have qualms in your new philosophy?

Nick: You are definitely entitled to a few qualms...

Avery: Mm-hmm.

Nick: But there is a qualm limit.

Avery: (Scoffs)

Nick: Is this about Phyllis?

Avery: (Sighs) She's gonna think that I'm trying to hurt her by being with you.

Nick: Well, I'm not going to let Phyllis have veto power over who I choose to see and what I do. Are you going to?

Avery: No.

Nick: Okay, then we let Phyllis live her life, and we're gonna live ours. Phyllis is the mother of one of my kids, and that's as far as it goes.

Avery: Well, how far does this go?

Nick: I don't know, but I'm dying to find out.

Summer: I just figured that you were probably out of town, you know, with Daniel and Lucy.

Phyllis: Oh, oh. Yeah, I was here.

Summer: Really? So you had Thanksgiving with Jack?

Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, it was really nice, really nice. We had a good time. You and--you spent Thanksgiving with your Aunt Avery?

Summer: Yeah, no, it was, you know, just low-key, last-minute type of thing. Not a big deal. You know, she's a really good cook, though.

Phyllis: Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's--she's great.

Summer: Mm.

Phyllis: I'm--I'm glad you two are--are... you know, becoming really good friends.

Summer: You know, I bet that you loved having a sister growing up--I mean, like, someone like Avery. She's such a good listener.

Phyllis: You think?

Summer: Yeah, she's the best.

Phyllis: Um, listen... I want you to know that if you--if you need someone to talk to, I'm your mom. I'm--I'm here for you.

Summer: Yeah.

Phyllis: What--what's that?

Summer: Nothing, it's-- seems like, lately, you're only willing to listen if we're talking about you.

Phyllis: You know what? You're right. You are right. I've been so focused on myself and all of my crises, one to another, I just-- I'm--I'm--I'm back on my feet. It's about you now.

Summer: The new job?

Phyllis: Yes, with the new job. And, um, also, I'm staying with Jack. I'm taking care of him after the surgery, and that-- that has just been so inspiring. It's been incredible to see him. He's such a fighter. He's so brave.

Summer: (Sighs) Yeah, that's not what Grandpa says.

Phyllis: Okay, well, your--your grandpa has nothing positive to say about Jack.

Summer: So you don't-- you don't feel like you're betraying the family?

Phyllis: I checked with your father when Jack offered me the job, and he said he was okay with it.

Summer: Would you have turned it down if he asked you to?

Phyllis: Wh-where is this coming from? And since when do you feel the need to fight Victor Newman's battles?

Summer: 'Cause I'm a Newman, and you-- you used to be.

Phyllis: Yes, I also used to be an Abbott. Summer, I needed this job. Please don't buy into Victor Newman's opinion of Jack. Please don't. He's a good man. I mean, he delivered you.

Summer: Yes, I know.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Summer: In an elevator, during an ice storm.

Phyllis: The ice storm, right.

Summer: (Chuckles) Yes.

Phyllis: We owe him a lot.

Summer: I know.

Phyllis: What?

Summer: So was that your plan all along? You gonna force me to like your new boyfriend?

Avery: What's your fantasy?

Nick: I don't know. Well, do you have, uh...?

Avery: No, that's not what I meant. I meant career-wise. What--what do you want to do?

Nick: Oh.

Avery: What was your dream when you were a kid?

Nick: I always wanted to be a rock star like Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, Chris Cornell.

Avery: Really?

Nick: Yeah, I know. Ridiculous, right?

Avery: No, I just had no idea you had this artistic side to you. Can you sing?

Nick: Can I sing? (Singing off-key) Can I sing? Oh, can I sing, Avery? What do you think?

Avery: Okay, or you could play an instrument or write. You could write music. (Laughs)

Nick: (Laughs) No, no, no. I put all those dreams to rest when I was a kid.

Avery: Okay, well, it's time to wake them up again, you know? There are a million facets in the music industry. Maybe you can come at it from a business angle, you know? Since that's what you're experienced at.

Nick: Mm, I don't know. I think, uh, I'm comfortable just being a fan.

Avery: I don't think you are, because when I asked you, this immediately came to mind. Come on, think about it. You have the time, you certainly have the money, you have the dream, so let's make it a reality. Uh, just don't sing again.

Nick: (Laughs)

Avery: (Laughs)

Chloe: You may have found a short-term solution, but what about a long-term plan? I mean, how are we gonna pay off this loan on top of all of our other bills? I mean, we have groceries, utilities, insurance, childcare.

Kevin: I know, I know, I know what our bills are.

Chloe: Okay, but how do you plan on paying them? Because I don't know how. (Sighs) Look, I'm not blaming you, okay? If I had known about the loan, I probably would have been all for it. I believed in TagNGrab, but... I mean, it's not like I really loved Angelina's house. (Chuckles)

Kevin: Great, bring that up again.

Chloe: (Sighs) You know what? What if we talk to your mom? Maybe she'll put the house on the market. I-I could talk to Katherine. Maybe she can talk to one of her banker friends, they can get us a better rate.

Kevin: What? No, no, we are not dragging Katherine into this.

Chloe: Kevin, we need help.

Kevin: I am gonna figure this out, okay? I will do it, on my own.

Jill: All I know is if I hadn't stepped forward to help and Katherine had another stroke due to the workload, that would have weighed on me forever, you know? As difficult as she is, she's the closest thing to a mother I have.

Lauren: Mm. Well, I'm sure, in her own way, she's very grateful.

Jill: Oh, I doubt it, but it doesn't matter. I mean, I'm really doing this to keep my own conscience clear.

Lauren: All right, well, just don't overdo it, you know? Make sure you leave time for a life and dating.

Jill: Dating?

Lauren: Yeah.

Jill: (Laughs) Why would I want to do that? I mean, my last several attempts into that arena have been disastrous.

Lauren: Yeah, that's true, but you know how long it took me to find the right man, and even longer to realize he was the right man. It's gonna happen. You see.

Jill: Mm.

Tucker: Jack. Hey, man, aren't you supposed to be at home with your feet up, morphine drip glued to your arm?

Jack: I'm right where I belong. So what brings you by?

Tucker: I just had some things to run by Adam.

Jack: Well, today's your lucky day. You actually get to talk to the man in charge, not his understudy. So what did you and Adam need to talk about?

Tucker: You know what? It's not that important. I'll wait until you've recuperated.

Jack: You know what? I'm just fine.

Tucker: Take it slow, Jack, okay?

Jack: Tucker, I'm not--

Tucker: It's all right.

Jack: (Winces) (Exhales sharply)

Kyle: Hey, is everything okay?

Jack: Yeah.

Kyle: I'm just asking. You-- didn't show up downstairs.

Jack: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? I'm fine. Just great. Come on, let's go. Go!

Chloe: (Sighs)

Jill: Oh, if you're looking for your mother, she's driving Katherine to Chancellor. She doesn't really trust anybody over there to properly lay out the red carpet for her glorious return, so she's doing it herself.

Lauren: (Laughing) Are you kidding?

Jill: I'm not kidding.

Lauren: That's so funny.

Chloe: Great, well, then can you just please let her know that I stopped by? Thanks.

Lauren: Are you okay, Honey?

Chloe: (Sighs) No. Kevin, you know.

Jill: What? What's the matter with Kevin?

Chloe: We started a business together, and it didn't really work out.

Lauren: Is he not taking it well?

Chloe: Which I'm realizing that... he took a loan out against the house and nearly defaulted on it.

Lauren: What?

Jill: How could he take a loan out without your consent?

Chloe: Because the title is in his name. It was a gift from Angelo, remember?

Lauren: I--yeah. Well, you know that we will help you if you need it.

Chloe: Michael already gave us a check, thank you.

Jill: Without your consent. What is wrong with these men?

Chloe: I just don't know what I'm gonna do, guys. I mean, Billy is thinking about selling the magazine. I could lose my job, and Crimson Lights, we just--it doesn't bring in enough money.

Jill: Okay, well, I think it's pretty obvious what your first step should be.

(Knocks on table)

Chloe: What?

Jill: Divorce.

Kevin: And we've never been late on this account before, so is there any way that you could waive the late fee this one time? I really appreciate that. Thank you. Yeah, you, too.

Michael: I'm sorry. Uh, I might have been a tad bit harsh with you earlier.

Kevin: No. You were right. I could lose Chloe.

Michael: (Scoffs) She loves you.

Kevin: It's hard to love somebody you don't respect.

Michael: That's not how it is, Kevin. It's not.

Kevin: She was just here, Michael. The way she looked at me... (Exhales sharply) I don't know what I would do if I lost her.

Phyllis: I did not know he was going to be here. I had no idea. Hey.

Ronan: Hey.

Phyllis: Um...

Ronan: Hey.

Phyllis: Uh, I would invite you to sit down, but, um...

Ronan: No. No, no, no. No, no, it's fine. I don't--I don't want to intrude on the two of you.

Summer: So, uh, how's Jamie?

Ronan: He's okay.

Summer: I know you think that I'm the one harassing him, but I'm not, okay? It's not me.

Ronan: Okay, good, because if it were, that would be very sad.

Summer: Yeah, well, I-I actually like the kid. We're friends.

Ronan: It wouldn't strike me that the two of you have much in common.

Summer: Yeah, well, we both come from broken homes, so...

Ronan: I think his broken home is a little bit different than yours.

Summer: Oh, so did you not hang out with his mom?

Phyllis: Um...

Summer: Yeah, um, I think I have to go back to school, so thanks for lunch.

Ronan: And I--

Phyllis: Okay, yeah. All right, this was really-- I had a-a fun time with you. This was really great, Summer.

Summer: Yeah.

Phyllis: Okay, let's-- let's talk later.

Summer: Okay, yeah.

Ronan: (Sighs) I'm, uh, um...

Phyllis: Uh, there-- is there-- there's no other restaurant that you could go to in the city?

Ronan: Seems like the two of you were getting along better.

Phyllis: Yeah. And then you walked in and-- it doesn't matter. She's faking it. She's trying to kill me with kindness. That is... a game I know, unfortunately, too well.

Kyle: Whoa.

Jack: (Breathing heavily)

Kyle: Can we stop this, please? This is ridiculous, both of us acting like someone who just had major back surgery doesn't need any help.

Jack: (Breathing heavily) If I need help, I'll ask for it.

(Knock on door)

Nick: You think that's Phyllis?

Avery: Uh, do you mind hiding in my closet?

Nick: Not gonna happen.

Avery: It's Summer.

Avery: Hi, Summer.

Summer: Hi, um, I think I left my ring here on Thanks... giving.

Nick: Why aren't you in school?

Summer: Oh, um, I'm on my way, actually. I just had lunch with Mom, so... oh, um, I think I took my ring off to do dishes and I just forgot to put it back on.

Avery: Yes, you did, actually, and I put it in my purse in case I ran into you. Uh, how's your mom? How was lunch?

Summer: Uh, I should probably warn you that she's pretty freaked I spent Thanksgiving here.

Avery: Hmm. Aha. You know, I think it's in my purse in the other room. I'll go check.

Summer: All right, thanks. Did you spend the night here?

Nick: Don't worry about that. What's going on with you and your mom?

Summer: Nothing. I just told you, we just had lunch.

Nick: Yeah, well, are you rubbing it in that you're getting along so well with Avery?

Summer: No. I mean, she asked me if I had a nice Thanksgiving and I wasn't gonna lie to her.

Nick: Look, Avery is a very sensitive subject for your mother right now.

Summer: Yeah, because of what you're doing, not because of what I'm doing.

Nick: Well, what I'm doing right now shouldn't be any of your concern or your mom's.

Summer: Yeah, I know, and I'm fine with it, so...

Nick: Why is that?

Summer: What do you mean?

Nick: You just caught me in a compromising situation with your aunt, and you didn't say anything about it. I know you're still angry over an incident that happened during the summer.

Summer: So you want me to be mad at you?

Nick: I want you to stop punishing your mom. It's okay for you to be angry...

Summer: Okay, I'm not angry.

Nick: But what isn't okay is for you to use those feelings to hurt other people.

Ronan: I got a call from D.C., and they're calling up a bunch of people for a homeland security detail.

Phyllis: Oh, so you're leaving?

Ronan: Well, it's up to me. I-I don't have to go. It's--it's my choice.

Phyllis: You should go. You don't want to get the bad assignments. I mean, you want to get...

Ronan: Right. (Chuckles) Right.

Phyllis: Yeah, right.

Ronan: (Laughs) Did we ever have a chance? I’m--did we ever have a chance?

Phyllis: I think it was the timing. I... I don't want to be in love.

Ronan: Oh, you're fighting it.

Phyllis: I know, I know.

Ronan: You're fighting it, you're fighting it.

Phyllis: I know. I know, I am. I am.

Ronan: Don't--

Phyllis: I just--shh.

Ronan: (Sighs)

Phyllis: Relationships are difficult for normal people... (Voice breaking) But for me, they're exhausting. I'm... I'm just tired.

Ronan: It's okay.

Phyllis: I'm so tired.

Ronan: Come here. You know, I'm sorry.

Phyllis: Wh-what--for what? For what?

Ronan: You know what? You're right. (Chuckles) You're right, 'cause when it comes to you, I'm not sorry for a damn thing.

Jack: You know what? Maybe you were right. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Um, would you mind taking me home? And take me by the pharmacy first.

Jill: Well, we are talking about Kevin Fisher here, right? Son of Tom Fisher? And I know--I know he's your brother-in-law and I'm sure he has many redeeming qualities. He also has a terrifying history.

Lauren: Yes, history, as in, past.

Jill: Well, that's what I told myself about Colin, isn't it?

Chloe: Kevin is not Colin.

Jill: Really? So he's not keeping secrets from you, then, huh? You're not seeing flashes of a darker side and telling yourself it's nothing, that it'll pass and everything will go back to normal? Chloe, Honey, you're fooling yourself.

Lauren: (Sighs)

Chloe: Okay, you know what? I'm not listening to this. Kevin is stressed out, okay? He's making some not-so-great decisions. He's not having a total breakdown.

Jill: Well, are you gonna wait around for that to happen? Look, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to offend you.

Chloe: You know what? I need to go. Will you just tell my mother that I stopped by?

Jill: Yes, I will.

Lauren: Sweetie... what the hell is the matter with you?

Avery: I have it.

Summer: Oh, heavens. Thank you.

Avery: Mm-hmm.

Summer: Um, did you want to do something this weekend?

Avery: Yeah, sure, I'd love to.

Summer: Okay, bye. Thank you.

Avery: Oh. Bye, Honey.

Nick: Straight to school.

Summer: Yeah.

Avery: Oh, my God. What was that?

Nick: Suspicious, right? Has she ever done that before, shown up here in the middle of the day when she's supposed to be at school?

Avery: I don't know. I'm not usually here.

Nick: (Sighs) I can feel how bad she's hurting. I just don't know if I'm doing enough to help her. I don't know what would help her.

Avery: (Sighs) Listen, if you need to take a break from this to deal with Summer--

Nick: That's not what I was getting at.

Avery: I don't want to add to her confusion.

Nick: It's not an issue. She likes you a lot, and she wants me to be happy, and I think it's good for her to see me in a relationship that's honest. Now we don't have to flaunt this.

Avery: No, we do not, and I can certainly be discreet. I could leave my terrace doors open and you could sneak in, like Tony from "West Side Story."

Nick: Minus the singing?

Avery: Oh, God. Yes, minus the singing, please. (Chuckles)

Nick: (Laughs)

Avery: Please.

Nick: Please.

Avery: (Laughs)

Phyllis: Hey, have you seen Jack?

Kyle: Hey. Yeah, I just took him home, after a stop at the pharmacy.

Phyllis: Was he wiped out?

Kyle: Uh, he keeps denying it, but yeah, it seemed that way to me.

Phyllis: I gotta go check on him. (Sighs)

Kyle: Hey, is, uh, is that a Jabot fragrance?

Phyllis: Oh, yeah.

Kyle: Yeah?

Phyllis: It's one of Ashley's. It's great, right?

Kyle: Oh, that's-- yeah, that's nice.

Phyllis: She really knows her stuff.

(Cell phone ringing)

Michael: Back to D.C.?

Ronan: Yep, seems that way. Next week.

Michael: Well, we're gonna miss you on the force.

Paul: Your brother's still there, isn't he?

Ronan: Yeah, I think so. Haven't been in touch with him, but I think so. Um, under another subject, I have a favor to ask the two of you. There's a kid I've been mentoring here. Uh, he's a good kid. He's a smart kid, but he got into a little bit of trouble. Can you guys just check in on him from time to time, make sure he's keeping up with his community service, that kind of thing?

Michael: Oh, what's his name?

Ronan: I mentioned him to you before, actually. Jamie.

(Door opens)

Summer: Hey. You ditching, too? Sit down.

Jamie: (Sighs)

Summer: Is something wrong?

Jamie: I'm still getting those stupid texts.

Summer: From Brittni?

Jamie: No. Somebody else now.

Summer: Wh-what? Can I see them?

Summer: Oh, that--that's-- that's awful. I'm--I'm really sorry.

Jamie: Ronan's moving.

Summer: He is?

Jamie: Yeah. So there'll be nobody who gives a damn.

Summer: Is it really that bad at home, you know, with your dad?

Jamie: I-I-I don't want to talk about it.

Summer: Okay.

Jamie: Hey, uh, he--he's here. I-I gotta go talk to him.

Summer: (Sighs) Fen, what are you doing to Jamie? Meet me at my house now.

Jill: No, just bring the proposal home and I'll look at it tonight, Katherine. Okay, great. Bye. Ohh! Don't leave mad. Delia's my granddaughter.

Lauren: Right, and she adores Kevin, and he is an amazing stepfather. You're just so jaded by your experiences with Colin and Tucker--

Jill: And you're just so biased in favor of Kevin.

Lauren: (Sighs)

Jill: But for what it's worth, I really, really hope you're right.

Lauren: Look, will you tell me when you're free? I would love to have you over. You just won't believe how Fen has grown.

Jill: (Laughs) I'm sure. I would love that, and I want to hear all about Fenmore's, too.

Lauren: Yes, yes, yes. Let's do it.

Jill: Okay.

Tucker: Oh!

Lauren: Oh, yeah, definitely.

Jill: Mwah!

Lauren: What?

Tucker: Hey.

Lauren: Well, hello.

Tucker: Are you two beauties both taking off?

Lauren: Oh, just me. All right, I'll talk to you later. Bye.

Jill: Bye-bye. Okay, bye-bye.

Lauren: Bye.

Tucker: See you.

Jill: So, uh, Katherine isn't here. She's at the office.

Tucker: Oh, that's all right. I'm here to see you this time. I was hoping you might be free for dinner tonight.

Michael: Jamie, Michael Baldwin. Nice to meet you.

Paul: Jamie, Paul Williams. How are you?

Jamie: Uh, good, how are you?

Paul: Great.

Chloe: I love you. We're gonna figure this out together, okay?

Nick: Hey.

Avery: Hi. Are you calling to let me know you got home safely?

Nick: Uh, no, but I did. I just wanted to say thank you for last night.

Avery: Well, you are very welcome.

Nick: Avery, when I'm with you, I don't feel like there are any mistakes. I know you gotta get to work, so I'll talk to you later?

Avery: Hey, my terrace door is always open.

Nick: (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Phyllis: Oh. Oh, no, we don't need to hear from you today.

Jack: Hey, Red.

Phyllis: Ohh. Go back to sleep. You--you pushed too hard today.

Jack: No, no, no, no, no, I-I'm okay. I'm okay. (Exhales slowly)

Phyllis: How--how many of these did you have today?

Jack: Who's counting?

Next on "The Young and The Restless"...

Billy: You can't really drop this on her now, but if you want to tell her, fine, tell her, but why don't you wait till she's recovered?

Jamie: Ronan told you.

Michael: Ronan suspects Summer Newman.

Nick: Where have you been going when you're not at school?
