Ashley: Forget it. I shouldn't have said anything.

Abby: Well, no, you're obviously pissed at him.

Ashley: And you're obviously not truly that interested, Abby.

Abby: I just asked you, didn't I?

Ashley: I shouldn't have said anything, okay? Go back to texting your criminal boyfriend.

Abby: (Scoffs) He's not a criminal.

Ashley: I gotta go.

Abby: Mom. Mom. (Scoffs)

Victoria: Hi, Abby.

Billy: Oh, it must be family day.

Abby: Yeah, and I'm blowing it.

Victoria: Do you want to join us?

Billy: Is that thing that your mom wanted to tell us private or...

Victoria: I don't know. She didn't say.

Billy: Well, in that case, why don't you pull up a chair? Unless you have some kidnappers lurking in the wings.

Abby: Yeah. No, I gotta bounce.

Victoria: Okay, talk to you later.

Abby: Hey. It's Abby. I know this is, like, super last-minute. Could we do lunch? Great. At Gloworm? Okay, I'll see you in a few minutes.

Billy: Hey.

Eden: Hi. Uh, what can I get for you?

Victoria: You know, um, coffee can wait. How have you been?

Eden: Oh, well, physically, I'm recovered.

Billy: But your memory's still a little shaky, huh?

Eden: I really want to help Paul, but... no matter what I do, I can't make myself remember what happened with Ricky.

Paul: I made so many mistakes, Chris. I was constantly misjudging Ricky.

Chris: You had suspicions, and they were well-founded.

Paul: Were they? I thought that my son killed Tim Reid. If I hadn't jumped to that conclusion, I--

Chris: Paul, on that night in that situation with Eden's life on the line, you had no choice but to fire that gun.

Paul: You don't know that for sure.

Chris: I do know that for sure, and we're gonna find a way to prove it.

Paul: You keep saying that, and we are constantly shut down.

Chris: Well, Heather and I have already had one conversation with Tim.

Paul: Right, a brief one.

Chris: Okay, and that doesn't mean we won't have another chance.

Paul: Well, I'm sure when Ronan is through questioning Tim about Phyllis' case, the guy will want to disappear again.

Chris: Not until we have a chance to talk to him.

Paul: What do you hope to find out exactly?

Chris: Maybe Tim will recall something Ricky said or did that will explain later that night. Look, I bet Tim has information that he doesn't even realize he has.

Paul: (Sighs)

Nick: Phyllis...

Phyllis: Hmm?

Nick: Does Tim Reid know enough to put you away?

Phyllis: I... well, he was, you know, my therapist. I don't...

Avery: Okay, so you discussed how much you resented Christine.

Phyllis: No, it--it-- it wasn't like that. He was, you know, a court-appointed therapist. We talked about Danny. It was just so... long ago, but I-I... I just remember mentioning some guilt that I had about Christine, and I-I-I think I did mention that to Tim.

Nick: And now he's being questioned by the police.

Avery: Okay, well, don't panic.

Phyllis: Oh, my God.

Avery: If you only talk-- listen to me. If you only talked about the incident in therapy with Dr. Reid, that is privileged communication.

Phyllis: Mm-hmm.

Nick: Which means he can't say anything incriminating about it.

Avery: But-- and this is a big "But"-- you and Tim had a personal relationship.

Phyllis: Oh, yeah. Not--I mean-- I-I wasn't in love with him.

Avery: But he thought you were.

Phyllis: Well, yeah, he thought it--he thought it-- this was--this was the thing.

Nick: (Sighs)

Phyllis: That I-I used-- I used that against him to get what I wanted.

Avery: Okay, well... (Sighs) It doesn't matter if the affections were mutual. What's pertinent to your case is... (Sighs) Is what you guys talked about outside of therapy. Did you ever mention the incident at all outside of those sessions?

Phyllis: I don't know. I don't know. That was forever ago.

Avery: It's really important that you remember this.

Phyllis: I don't--I can't. I can't. I don't know.

Nick: Just--just try.

Avery: (Sighs)

Phyllis: I mean, there's no-- no, I--but there's no way. There's no way. It was so long ago. I mean, it was so long ago. I-I can't remember exactly where or when I told Tim what.

Avery: (Sighs)

Ronan: Okay, now that the district attorney has joined us, why don't you fill us all in?

Tim: Where do you want me to start?

Ronan: Why don't you start with, why Phyllis paid you to leave town?

Tim: Well, that Ricky kid came by sniffing around for dirt on Phyllis.

Michael: Oh, well, did you give him any?

Tim: Not really.

Heather: But Phyllis found out that you and Ricky had talked?

Tim: Yes. And since I know things that she didn't want revealed, she offered me a nice chunk of change to leave my dead-end job and rathole apartment, so I jumped at it. As a matter of fact, I'd be having a margarita right now if that guy hadn't shown up and dragged me back here.

Michael: So?

Tim: So what?

Michael: So... what are the things Phyllis doesn't want anyone to know?

Jack: Hey, what you doin'?

Nikki: (Gasps) Hey. Oh, I'm just thinking.

Jack: About the wedding?

Nikki: Yeah. Um, you know how we had tentatively planned to use the house?

Jack: I thought we'd already solidified that.

Nikki: Yeah, we did, but I'm just thinking. I mean, it's so beautiful out here. What would you think about an outdoor ceremony?

Jack: I'd marry you in a paper bag. But maybe some sunshine and a little fresh air would be a good thing.

Nikki: Yeah, wouldn't it? I mean, we could put the chairs over here--

Jack: Oh, don't-- don't trip over my weights.

Nikki: Oh!

Jack: (Sighs)

Nikki: Well, are--are you gonna work out some more today? Didn't I see Sarge leave this morning?

Jack: Yeah, he's comin' back. We're gonna do another session.

Nikki: Jack, no. You're pushing yourself too hard.

Jack: Hey, hey, hey. I know what I'm doin'. Just--just be careful when you walk around I don't want you in a wheelchair for our wedding.

Nikki: (Sighs)

Jack: You know what? I heard from Traci this morning.

Nikki: Is she coming?

Jack: Well, she was a little surprised that things had moved along quite so quickly, but, yeah. She couldn't wait to get off the phone to book her flight.

Nikki: Great. Well, speaking of that, I have to go meet Victoria at the coffeehouse and let her know the plan.

Jack: Uh-huh. How about Nicholas?

Nikki: Well, I hope he can join me, but I haven't heard back from him yet.

Jack: I'm hoping to let Kyle know today.

Nikki: Ahh. How do you think he's going to react hearing we're getting married so soon?

Jack: Who knows, you know? I mean, the announcement that we were engaged went over fairly well, even though he did say he wouldn't make it to the wedding.

Nikki: Maybe he'll change his mind. Or maybe that's just... wishful thinking on my part, my guilt.

Jack: Hey, listen. Would you be hurt if he didn't come?

Nikki: Only if it hurts you.

Jack: I'll be okay with whatever he decides.

Nikki: When are you gonna call him?

Jack: Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm gonna see him face-to-face. No, he has a way of glossing things over. It makes him very hard to read.

Nikki: I think you're right. You should definitely see him in person.

Jack: If I'm with him when he finds out, well, we'll have a chance to talk things through.

Victor: That's a very good job on the productivity report.

Kyle: Did I--did I include all the numbers you needed?

Victor: As concisely as possible, which is exactly the way I like it, all right?

Kyle: I'll format the reports for the other divisions the same way. I'll get it to you by the end of the week.

Victor: I assume you would like a couple of days off.

Kyle: Why?

Victor: To celebrate, along with your father, his wedding to Nikki.

Kyle: (Scoffs)

Heather: That's it?

Tim: I agreed to tell you why Phyllis paid me to leave town, and I did-- to keep me away from nosy people asking questions. But I didn't agree to tell you what those secrets were.

Ronan: We could compel you.

Tim: (Scoffs) How?

Michael: It's called a subpoena.

Tim: Well, in that case, I want a lawyer.

Heather: Why would you need an attorney? You're not being charged with anything.

Michael: We are simply asking you to help us solve a case.

Tim: Do my civic duty? See justice served?

Ronan: (Sighs) You came back here to do that.

Tim: I came back here because you were going to arrest my... friend Beth.

Michael: And we've kept our part of the bargain.

Tim: And yet, I still feel the need to protect myself. I'm not saying another word without a lawyer.

Avery: Okay, sitting here driving ourselves crazy about what happens at the police station is not helping. I am going down there.

Phyllis: To do what? What are you doing?

Avery: To, uh, find out whatever I can. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Nick: (Sighs) I wish--

Phyllis: I know what you wish. You wish I hadn't bribed Tim. You wish that I had told you about him. You wish I hadn't run Paul and Christine over with a car. I know what you wish.

Nick: Nope. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better.

Phyllis: You just have.

(Cell phone rings)

Nick: Oh, no, let 'em-- let it--let it leave a message.

Phyllis: Okay, let me just see. Let me just--oh, it's your mom. Do you--it's your mom.

Nick: Uh, okay. Okay, okay.

(Ring)

Nick: Hey, Mom, what's up?

Nikki: Your sister, Billy, and I are at the coffeehouse. Can you join us?

Nick: Uh, you know, Mom, it's really not a good time.

Nikki: Son, it won't take long, I promise.

Phyllis: Oh, go. Go be with your mom then.

Nick: You sure?

Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, for sure. I'll be fine.

Nick: I'd rather stay here with you.

Phyllis: I'll be fine.

Victor: I'm sorry if I jumped the gun. I assumed that Jack had already told you about the wedding.

Kyle: No, no, it, uh, doesn't matter.

Victor: Ahh.

Kyle: Look, I knew-- I knew my dad and Nikki were engaged. A wedding's the next step, right? I'm cool with it.

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Victor: Do you need to take that?

Kyle: No, no, it's just my dad.

Jack: (Sighs) (Sighs heavily)

Abby: Hello.

Kay: Ah, well, I was certainly surprised to get your call, Abby.

Abby: Thank you for coming on short notice.

Kay: Mm-hmm.

Abby: And being seen in public with me.

Kay: (Chuckles) Oh, I was a great deal like you when I was your age. However, I didn't take my clothes off...

Abby: (Laughs)

Kay: In public.

Abby: Did you step into it all the time the way I seem to?

Kay: (Laughs) Well, let's say I was rather strong-willed, and, uh, I knew what I wanted, and I certainly didn't need a man to tell me what it was. And that was sort of, you know, sort of racy back in those days.

Abby: You are still kind of a rebel.

Kay: That's high praise coming from you.

Abby: (Laughs)

Kay: Why are we here, my dear?

Abby: (Sighs) I want to apologize for the kidnapping stunt at the gala.

Kay: Well, why did you do it?

Abby: I just panicked. I thought this big event that I helped plan was about to be an epic fail. I-I--honestly, I was trying to divert attention.

Kay: Oh, come on. Failure does not define you, Abby. It's the way you handle it that does.

Abby: So I guess crawling into the trunk of a car wasn't a primo coping method?

Kay: (Laughs) No.

Abby: (Laughs)

Kay: No, no, no, no. But, um, you're forgiven.

Abby: (Sighs) Thank you. That means so much to me. You have no idea. I know that the arts council took a big hit-- not just the proceeds they lost from the gala, but I heard big donors pulled their contributions all because of me. I--

Kay: Hey, hey, hey. We will recoup.

Abby: I was thinking... (Sighs) That maybe this would help. You all right? (Laughs)

Kay: (Chuckles) Uh, Abby, I know you can afford this--

Abby: Yeah, the lawsuit with my dad kind of left me super rich.

Kay: (Laughs) Yeah, indeed. This is far beyond the amount of money that we lost in rescinding donations. In fact, it's twice as much money that was pledged to us.

Abby: It's just-- it's just money.

Kay: All right. I'll tell you what we're going to do. We will, um, hold a press conference at the art museum. I'll have a giant prop check made up, get lots of phot-- a lot of photographers--

Abby: Oh, oh, no, no, no. No, uh, um, I kind of just want this to be between us. I want my donation to be anonymous.

Kay: (Sighs) Are you sure? I mean, this will go a long way in rehabilitating your public image.

Abby: I-I would just rather make less of a fuss and get the funds to the people and the places that really need it as fast as possible.

Kay: All right, then. I promise I will, um, keep it a secret from the press.

Abby: (Sighs) Well, at least this is one secret that I don't have to worry about coming back and burning me.

Avery: Christine?

Chris: Avery. Tim Reid's still in interrogation. He did ask for counsel.

Avery: Thank you.

Heather: (Sighs)

Rafe: My client's filled me in. We're ready for you.

Michael: Rafe, I wasn't aware that you were acquainted with Dr. Reid.

Rafe: I wasn't.

Tim: I remembered Rafe's name from the newspaper-- that whole "Naked Heiress" fake kidnapping thing. Now that young lady would make a fascinating case study if I was still practicing.

Heather: We'd prefer to concentrate on an actual case of yours.

Ronan: Are you ready to fill us in on what you know about Phyllis?

Tim: (Sighs) Well, after speaking to my attorney, I've decided I'm not going to say another word about it.

Michael: That makes you a hostile witness. You want to wait right here, I'll go have the subpoena written up right away.

Tim: Take your best shot. I can still invoke privilege.

Ronan: (Laughs) Which privilege is that? Night watchman privilege?

Rafe: Okay, although Dr. Reid is no longer a licensed, practicing psychologist, the communication in question occurred when he was, and still is protected.

Heather: There is a lot of gray area surrounding that in this particular case.

Michael: Dr. Reid engaged in a highly unethical personal, sexual relationship with his client.

Rafe: Sure. But there is a line between what is revealed in therapy and what is revealed during pillow talk.

Heather: And where is that line?

Michael: Whatever Dr. Reid said to Phyllis, or whatever Phyllis said to Dr. Reid outside of an official therapy session is not privileged. And clearly, what went on in that office was a lot more than therapy.

Tim: So you claim.

Rafe: How do you plan on proceeding, Michael?

Michael: I'm gonna challenge privilege.

Nick: (Sighs) Hey.

Nikki: Ahh, now that we are all here...

Nick: What's the big news? Sorry, I'm kind of in a rush.

Nikki: (Clears throat) Well, it seems I am, too. Jack and I have decided to get married this week.

Victoria: (Gasps)

Nick: Wow.

Billy: Yeah, that's amazing.

Victoria: Wow, that's so wonderful, Mom.

Nikki: (Chuckles)

Victoria: Ohh, what can I do to help?

Nikki: Well, I would love for you to stand up for me, be my matron of honor.

Victoria: Yeah, of course. Sure.

Nikki: And Nicholas...

Nick: I'm guessing I'm walking you down the aisle.

Nikki: I would love that, Honey. Thank you. Billy, um, Jack needs to speak with you, but he needs to talk to Kyle first.

Billy: Absolutely understood.

Victoria: How do you think Kyle will react?

Billy: Oh, I think Jack's in for a rough conversation. (Clears throat)

(Intercom buzzes)

Victor: Yes, Connie? Well, I'll be damned. Send him in.

(Door opens)

Victor: Hello, Jack. Your son has been doing a great job around here.

Jack: Well, I am sorry to interrupt you at work.

Kyle: Hey, is something wrong?

Jack: Well, no. I've been trying to reach you on the phone. I had some important news I wanted to share with you.

Kyle: Yeah, the wedding.

Jack: Is there somewhere we can talk?

Kyle: Can I have a minute?

Victor: Of course, you can. Take all the time you need, all right?

Jack: Look, I am sorry.

Kyle: It's okay.

Jack: No, I wanted to be there when you heard so that if you had any questions--

Kyle: It's not a big deal, Dad, really.

Jack: Really?

Kyle: You made your choice. I made mine.

Jack: Okay, as long as you understand it was not a choice between you and Nikki.

Kyle: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I get that. I haven't changed my mind, though. I won't be at the wedding.

Jack: (Sighs)

Nikki: It's going to be small-- just family and close friends.

Billy: That's nice.

Victoria: Nice.

Billy: Where are you gonna have the ceremony?

Nikki: At the Abbott house, out by the pool, I think.

Victoria: Oh, really?

Billy: Ooh, that puts a whole new spin on "Takin' the plunge." (Laughs)

Victoria: (Laughs)

Nikki: (Laughs)

Victoria: Um, I don't really mean to be a "Debbie Downer," but does Dad know?

Nikki: Uh, yeah, he sort of found out by accident.

Billy: Uh-oh. Well, I guess that means somebody should be watching out for shark fins in the water.

Victoria: Oh, Boy.

Nikki: Would you be willing to take on that particular chore?

Billy: Oh, anything for you.

Victoria: Mom, you helped Billy and I pull off our post-Jamaica wedding on short notice, so we will do whatever it takes to make this perfect for you and Jack.

Nikki: Thank you, Kids.

Nick: I guess spur-of-the-moment weddings are running' in the family right now.

Phyllis: Yeah, I guess so. I guess so. You know, Nikki-- Nikki makes Jack happy, and that's what I want for him, so that's good. That's good.

Nick: I think this marriage is gonna be real good for both of them.

Phyllis: Yeah. Are you okay with it?

Nick: Well, yeah, why not?

Phyllis: Mm.

Nick: Jack was good to my mom and to me and Victoria when they were married before. And from experience, you know, this second-time-around thing...

Phyllis: Is that working for you?

Nick: Absolutely.

Phyllis: Good.

Nick: I know you're trying to cover up how scared you are.

Phyllis: What made you notice?

Nick: Well, you've had a drink, and you're still shaking. You're really worried about what's going down at the police station.

Phyllis: Extremely. (Sighs)

Nick: Come here.

Michael: You know, I respectfully request that you, uh, keep your client in town until this issue is all--

Rafe: Just give us a chance to discuss it.

Michael: Fine.

Ronan: So... Tim isn't talking.

Michael: Yeah, well, if he's keeping his mouth shut in order to protect Phyllis, it's not gonna work, not in the courtroom-- not unless he wants to go to jail for contempt. Avery, just tell your sister it would be so much better if she just came clean.

Avery: Mm, well, better for you.

Heather: Excuse me. Dr. Reid? Can you hang around for a little while?

Tim: Why?

Rafe: My client's done answering questions.

Heather: Look, I'm not wearing my A.D.A. hat, Rafe. This is personal.

Tim: I guess I have some time to spare.

Rafe: Just be careful what you say.

Tim: So... what's this about?

Heather: (Sighs) I'm Ricky's sister, and I'm wondering if you could speak to my dad.

Ashley: Katherine.

Kay: Oh, there you are.

Ashley: Hi.

Kay: (Sighs)

Ashley: What's so top-secret that you couldn't tell me on the phone?

Kay: It's a personal matter.

Ashley: Is this about Tucker?

Kay: It's about Abby.

Ashley: Oh, no. What did she do now?

Kay: Pull up a chaise. You may need to be sitting down.

Ashley: (Sighs)

Tim: He's in here?

Chris: Yeah. Thank you for agreeing to do this.

Tim: I'm not sure what good it's going to do.

Heather: Look, Dr. Reid, I know it's been years since you practiced, but the training and the education, they never go away.

Tim: You're worried about your father.

Heather: If you could help him, I'd appreciate it.

Paul: Hello, Tim. Thanks for doing this.

Tim: I'm sorry about your son, Paul.

Paul: Well, I-I-I'm sure that you're really eager to get out of here. I was hoping that, um, you might be able to answer a few questions about my son.

Tim: Well... (Sighs) He and I met only very briefly, but we were united by a common enemy.

Paul: In what way?

Tim: We had both been screwed over my Phyllis

Paul: What did you notice about my son's demeanor?

Tim: Well, he was very driven. In my doesn't-mean-crap-anymore opinion, he was obsessed with revenge.

Chris: An obsession that could have turned violent?

Tim: I don't know about violent, although he did steal Phyllis' file when I refused to tell him everything.

Heather: Were you alarmed by him?

Tim: No, not at all. I did sense anger. But it was directed at Phyllis, not me.

Heather: But do you think that he was capable of harming Phyllis or anybody else that he felt wronged or threatened by?

Tim: Under the right circumstances, I believe most people are capable of just about anything, although I didn't sense that Ricky was an imminent danger to Phyllis.

Paul: He told me he killed three people. Do you think he could have lied about that?

Tim: Why would your son lie about being a murderer?

Paul: For revenge against me.

Avery: Tim isn't talking.

Nick: Well, that's the best news.

Phyllis: So it's a dead issue?

Avery: Well, unfortunately, Michael and Christine aren't giving up.

Nick: What about the therapist/client confidentiality?

Avery: Tim invoked that as we'd hoped.

Phyllis: Good. So there's n there's no problem.

Avery: Well, no, the problem is Michael insists he's gonna challenge privilege based on your personal relationship with Tim.

Phyllis: Wait a second. Michael insists?

Avery: Yeah.

Phyllis: Okay, so it comes down to my word against Tim's, right?

Avery: Well, maybe it does, but you know what? Tim has an unsavory past and a personal grudge against you, and I will use that to discredit him on the stand.

Jack: Hold the door, please!

Jack: Well, I'm surprised you didn't let the door shut in my face.

Victor: Don't think that didn't cross my mind.

(Elevator jolts)

Nikki: Oh, that was fast.

Kay: Well, I was close. Um, in fact, I was at, uh, the Abbotts' when I got your call.

Nikki: Oh, were you looking for me?

Kay: Uh, no. Uh, I was talking over some charity business with Ashley.

Nikki: Did you see Jack while you were there?

Kay: No. (Sighs) Don't tell me something has happened between the two of you.

Nikki: No, something's going to happen. We're getting married.

Kay: (Chuckles) Well, that's old news. Now you're sporting that ring and your, um, engagement announcement was just in the paper.

Nikki: This week.

Kay: (Groans)

Nikki: (Chuckles)

Kay: (Chuckles) Well, that is news. Uh, fast. Don't tell me it's gonna be a shotgun wedding.

Nikki: Oh, Katherine, good Lord. No, we just decided we didn't want to wait any longer.

Kay: Uh-huh. Just?

Nikki: And Jack has been struggling a bit in his therapy, and he's just a little disheartened that things aren't progressing faster.

Kay: Mm. And you think, uh, a wedding would boost his spirits?

Nikki: I want to take the vows now to show Jack that I'm committed to him no matter what.

Billy: Your mother is marrying my brother, which makes my mother-in-law my sister-in-law.

Victoria: And my brother-in-law is now my stepfather.

Billy: Are we even married after all of this?

Victoria: Yes. Of course we are, until death do we part, forever and ever, and then some.

Billy: Wow, a long time. Good, well, that-- that clears that up. Then who cares who everybody else is? Seriously, though, whatever we call 'em, I'm glad that Jack's got Nikki to help him through everything he's going through.

Victoria: Yeah, he's been really good for my mother. And she certainly has made a better match than my father has.

Kyle: Can I get a water?

Eden: Hey, yeah.

Kyle: (Sighs heavily)

Eden: Uh, what'd you do? Run all the way here?

Kyle: Yeah, I walked... down... stairs-- Newman tower.

Eden: Uh, and why would you do that?

Kyle: Elevators are out. Truck hit a pole, knocked us off the grid. My dad and Victor-- stuck in an elevator together.

Nikki: What?

Victoria: Oh, my God.

Nikki: Heavens!

Billy: Wait, they're-- they're--they're together?

Kyle: Yeah, that's what the guard in the lobby said.

Kay: Uh, listen, we'd better get over there before they kill each other. Come on.

Nikki: Oh, my. Um, have you spoken to your father?

Kyle: Yeah, yeah, I did. I don't want to keep you.

Nikki: Yeah, okay.

Kyle: Yeah. (Sighs)

Jack: That was a low blow telling Kyle about the wedding.

Victor: I thought he knew. I simply gave him a day off so he could attend the wedding.

Jack: Yeah, nothing's that simple with you. You hate the fact that I'm winning. You hate that I have Jabot and Beauty of Nature.

Victor: Don't flatter yourself, Jack. I don't hate it. I'm just waiting and watching.

Jack: My life is turning around. I'm on top of the world in my love and business life, and I may be walking again soon.

Victor: Well, good. You've certainly got a better woman than you deserve.

Jack: No argument there. But then she does have a habit of picking men who don't deserve her, not that any man does.

Victor: You might be right at that. Make sure you enjoy it.

Jack: While it lasts?

Victor: Did I say that?

Abby: Mom, why do you need me? Are you okay?

Ashley: Mm-hmm. I'm very proud of you.

Abby: Katherine told you.

Ashley: I'm so happy she did.

Abby: Well, I wanted it to be a secret.

Ashley: She's gonna keep your confidence, Abby, but she thought it was important for you and me that I know.

Abby: It doesn't make up for everything I've put you through.

Ashley: No. But it's a start.

Kyle: Sometimes I wonder why I ever came back to Genoa City.

Eden: Oh, well, that's easy. You came back so you could hang out with me.

Kyle: (Laughs)

Eden: No, I'm glad you came back.

Kyle: Everyone here hated my mom. I mean, the way they talk about her... (Stammers) She was never like that with me.

Eden: She was a good mom?

Kyle: Oh, the best. I mean, the way she took care of me and protected me... it seems like everybody's forgotten about that, or at least they don't give a damn.

Eden: Everybody? Or your dad?

Kyle: I don't want to run his life. If he wants to get married, that's what he should do.

Eden: But it's bothering you.

Kyle: It's practically on the anniversary of my mother's death, and he's marrying the woman who killed her.

Kay: Oh, thank God. The power's back on.

Nikki: (Sighs) They won't be up there that much longer, thank heavens.

Billy: Yeah, but I imagine they already caused enough damage as it is.

Victoria: I don't know. Jack's in a wheelchair.

Billy: That won't stop them from throwing punches at each other.

Nikki: Billy.

(Elevator bell dings)

Jack: Well, enjoy your meeting.

Victor: Hello.

Billy: They're in one piece.

Victoria: (Sighs)

Chris: The only thing proven by Tim Reid's observations was how skilled Ricky was at covering his true personality.

Heather: Look, Ricky was smart, Paul. That's why he was able to get away with so much for so long.

Chris: You're a private detective, not to mention his father. You saw through the charade.

Paul: Or maybe my paranoia had me shooting at a monster that didn't exist. (Sighs) I've decided to plead guilty and accept the consequences.

Ronan: I believe that Tim Reid is the keeper of some very deep, dark secrets is concerned.

Michael: Yeah, so do I.

Ronan: Do you really think you can get around this confidentiality thing?

Michael: Definitely. I don't think Tim Reid is willing to go to jail on a contempt charge just to shield Phyllis.

Ronan: You're gonna have to sell it to the judge first.

Michael: That's the easy part. Watching Tim's testimony destroy Phyllis' life-- that's gonna be the hard part.

Avery: Try not to worry about Tim. (Sighs) I think I can stay ahead of this.

Phyllis: Whoa, you-- you "Think" you can?

Avery: I will.

Nick: Thanks for your help.

Avery: I'll speak to you soon. Thank you.

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Phyllis: Hello?

Tim: I didn't tell them anything, but it doesn't mean that I won't. We need to talk.

Phyllis: Right. Oh, okay. I--you know, I do appreciate the call. When you told me that that book was out of print, I was wondering if it-- if it was gonna come in at all.

Tim: Where do you want to meet?

Phyllis: Um, you know... (Sighs) Trumble's never lets me down. You're incredible. I-I will pick up the book, um, tomorrow morning when you open.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Kevin: We're supposed to be partners here, or have you forgotten that?

Traci: When the wedding is over, why don't you come home with me?

Jack: I can't wait to marry you tomorrow.

Nikki: I can't wait to marry you.
