Tucker: (Sighs) He's still not answering.
Ashley: Honey, I told you, give him a little time. Finding out that his dad is Tucker McCall is gonna be a lot for Devon to process.
Tucker: Yeah, it's not every day you meet the bastard who abandoned you when you were a kid.
Ashley: Honey, you had no way of knowing that he was your son.
Tucker: Yeah. I might have known if I'd tracked him down, like Katherine did.
Ashley: Oh, so what? So she found him. And then she tried to keep it from you. That's not very nice.
Tucker: So he's got a lousy old man and an even lousier grandma. I'm gonna check my e-mail, get some business done. (Sighs)
Ashley: You know that there's nothing going on out there that you really have to worry about, right?
Eden: Daniel, hey, it's Eden. I'm at Crimson Lights. Where are you? Um, you are not going to believe what I read online about Devon. Just hurry and get here as soon as you get this message, okay?
Malcolm: There's something online about Devon?
Eden: Uh, yeah.
Cane: "Billionaire's long-lost son found"? Devon? What? What? What?
Malcolm: (Sighs) Phyllis.
Phyllis: Look at this. I just posted it. Already over 450 hits. That's insane.
Nick: Malcolm is your friend. He confided in you.
Phyllis: Tucker McCall finding his son is huge news. I'm not gonna sit on that.
Nick: Well, if you had any compassion, you would have. If you gave a damn about Devon-- but you don't. You just do what you want to do.
Phyllis: I'm sorry. I thought we were trying to run a magazine, that we're trying to stay ahead of the competition. That's what I am doing.
Nick: Give me a break, Phyllis. This is not about breaking a story. This is about you and me, and you know it.
Harmony: Oh, my God. Devon.
Man: Yolanda! Oh, sorry. Harmony, hey! We got customers waiting!
Harmony: Bud--
Bud: Next one's up. What's the matter?
Harmony: I need to take a few days off.
Bud: For what?
Harmony: My son needs me.
Neil: Devon, I know you said you don't want anything to do with tucker or Yolanda--
Devon: I don't.
Neil: Right now.
Devon: No, ever. There's more to being parents than just makin' a baby. Those two and Katherine-- they are not my family. You guys are my family.
(Cell phone rings)
Devon: It's Katherine again.
Devon: Hello?
Kay: Oh, good. Uh, Devon, I'm glad you answered. I need to see you.
Devon: That's good, 'cause I need to see you, too.
Kay: Good. I, um, I, uh--
Devon: I'll be right over.
Cane: So that's what's going on with Devon and Neil, huh?
Malcolm: Later, Man.
Cane: All right.
Eden: Uh, I didn't mean to freak anybody out.
Cane: Oh, it's okay. Did I, um, did I hear you say that Daniel's coming by?
Eden: Here he is now.
Daniel: Hey, got your message.
Eden: Hey.
Daniel: I haven't had a chance to go online.
Eden: Read it.
Cane: And, uh, now I think I need your help with, uh, with Lily.
Daniel: (Scoffs)
Lily: You know, I'm gonna call the sitter and just see if I can pick up the twins later.
Devon: No, no. You don't have to do that. You go get Charlie and Matty.
Lily: Okay. Call me if you need anything, okay?
Devon: Okay. Do me a favor and give my, uh, niece and nephew a kiss.
Lily: Okay.
Neil: Hey, uh, Junior, you, um, you want me to go with you?
Devon: No, I think I should go alone.
Neil: Okay. Just remember she's fragile. Tread carefully. She just had a stroke.
Devon: I'll be cool.
Neil: You want to meet up later?
Devon: Uh, I'll call you.
Neil: Okay.
Sofia: Good luck, Baby.
Devon: Thanks.
Sofia: You blame me, too, don't you? For what happened to Katherine.
Neil: Well, Sofia, you supported Tucker going after Jabot.
Sofia: He is my boss and my friend.
Neil: Yeah. How you can remain friends with someone like that I don't know.
Sofia: Because you don't know him like I do. I mean, nobody does. Well, maybe I can help Devon get to know Tucker.
Neil: No. No way.
Sofia: But...
Phyllis: Why would you think my writing a story has anything to do with us?
Nick: How about the fact that I told you specifically not to run this one?
Phyllis: I'm doing my job.
Nick: You were looking for a fight.
Phyllis: I'm not looking for a fight. Don't you think I have enough conflict in my life? I have a line of people who are ready to fight with me. Why would I pick a fight with you?
Nick: Because every time we start to get close, you turn yourself inside out trying to find a way to ruin it. It's like you're afraid to be happy, like you feel like you don't deserve this or something.
Phyllis: Wait a second. Wait a second. I-I run a story that you don't like, and suddenly, it's a commentary on my life?
Nick: Is it Avery? Is that what this is about?
Phyllis: Oh, my God. Are you--really? Are you really gonna bring her up?
Nick: Well, that's what all our fights seem to be about lately.
Phyllis: No, we are having a disagreement. That's all. We are having a disagreement about work. It has nothing to do with, uh, me wanting to fight or sabotaging my life or my sister. It has nothing to do with her.
Nick: Okay. Okay. You want to play this game? You're gonna play it alone. But if I were you, I would put on some protective gear, 'cause you're about to get slammed for this. I'll be at the gym.
Daniel: Well, it looks like my mom strikes again. How did she even find out about this?
Cane: I have a feeling, uh, Malcolm knows something about that.
Eden: Uh, nobody else has posted anything about Devon...
Daniel: (Sighs)
Eden: About Devon or Tucker.
Cane: Yeah, but--but, uh, it's gonna be viral by tomorrow, so which means the newspapers and the TVs are gonna pick it up.
Daniel: Yeah, it's gonna get ugly real quick.
Cane: Yeah, for all of the Winters.
Daniel: Is that why you're worried about Lily?
Cane: I don't want the press hounding her.
Daniel: Well, she's a lot tougher than you're giving her credit.
Cane: Look, I asked her to give me a call if she needs anything, and she hasn't, so I was thinking she might...
Daniel: She what? You--
Cane: Need--
Daniel: You want me to check on her?
Cane: She might need a friend. That's right.
Daniel: (Sighs) Okay, well, I guess since my mom is the one who put this out into the universe, it's only right. The least I could do is call her and make sure she's ready for the fallout.
Cane: Thank you.
Daniel: I'm doin' it for Lily. (Clears throat)
Daniel: Hey, it's me.
Lily: Hi. Kind of surprised to hear from you.
Daniel: Yeah, I know. Um, look, I-is it possible-- could we--could we maybe get together, um, soon?
Lily: Like now? I was on my way to pick up the twins from the sitter.
Daniel: Do--yeah, like now. Could you maybe see if she could watch 'em for just a little while longer? Um, it's kind of important.
Devon: Hey, Abby.
Abby: Hey. You here to see Katherine?
Devon: Yeah.
Abby: Well, I just saw her. (Sighs) Uh, she's awake. She's talking. She's a little distracted, but, um, she's definitely getting better. She's one seriously tough lady.
Devon: You can say that again.
Abby: You okay? Um, I-I mean, you're not still worried about her? I mean, I-I think she's seriously gonna be okay.
Devon: Oh, no, yeah. I, uh, I'm sure my grandma will be fine.
Abby: Wh--I'm sorry, what? Your what?
Devon: Katherine Chancellor is my grandmother.
Abby: No, she's not.
Devon: It's true.
Abby: When did you find out?
Devon: Well, I just found out. But she's known for a while.
Abby: She's known for a while? She didn't tell you?
Devon: She kept it from my old man, too.
Abby: Well, who's your old ma-- please tell me it's Brock.
Devon: Try not to pass out or throw up.
Abby: Oh, my God. (Scoffs) Ugh! Well, does Tucker know? Did Tucker know?
Devon: He knew he had a son. He didn't know it was me, although he never bothered to really look, so how could he?
Abby: (Sighs)
Devon: I have to go.
Abby: Okay, um, uh, call me.
Devon: Okay.
Abby: Okay.
Harmony: No onions.
Bud: Eh.
Harmony: So what-- what do you say? Can I get a few days off?
Bud: I didn't know you had a kid.
Harmony: I got two, actually.
Bud: How come you never talked about it before?
Harmony: I haven't seen them in a while.
Bud: So why the big rush all of a sudden?
Harmony: I just found out that my son d-- it's kind of complicated, but I really need to explain something to him.
Bud: So call him.
Harmony: No, I-I got to do this in person.
Bud: Look, Yo-Yolanda-- I mean, Harmony, you've only worked here a couple of months. You--you ain't really earned time off, okay? Now maybe in a week or two, I can, you know, give you a couple days.
Harmony: No, I-I have to go now.
Bud: (Sighs)
Harmony: Today.
Bud: Today? Are you crazy? I'm already short one waitress, and the dinner crowd's comin' in now.
Harmony: Come on now, Bud. This is important.
Bud: I thought your job was important.
Harmony: You know it is.
Bud: You leave now, you lose it. Table two's ready to order.
Devon: Mrs. Chancellor sees my potential.
Tucker: She sees the potential to get at me.
Devon: So she dumped a boatload of money into a high-risk business just to piss you off?
Tucker: Katherine might be settin' you up for a fall, Devon. When her little foray into the music business goes bust, and it will, it's your reputation that's gonna get slammed.
Devon: Why do you care?
Tucker: I just think, you know, you got some talent, and if you get mixed up with Katherine, you could blow any chance you have of being a success in this business.
Kay: Thank you for coming. There's so much we have to talk about, and I wanted to do it right away.
Devon: I only have one thing to say to you.
Kay: And what is that?
Devon: How could you do what you did?
Ricky: So I used that new "Big Brother" web site to get all the dirt on the witnesses on the D.A.'s list. Don't ever do anything that you want to keep hidden. (Chuckles) I'm gonna take off.
Avery: Uh, juror notes.
Ricky: Now?
Avery: Yeah.
Ricky: I, uh, I e-mailed them to you. Can't you just look over 'em?
Avery: Do you have someplace you have to be?
Ricky: Well, I was, uh, I was hoping to meet up with some people I met last night. They're gonna be at Crimson Lights in a little while. A guy gets a lunch break, right?
Avery: Well, I'm not gonna starve you. Just order whatever you want off the menu.
Ricky: (Sighs) You know, sometimes it's good to turn off the brain, have a little fun. You do that, right?
Avery: Uh... well, not when I'm in the middle of a trial.
Ricky: When aren't you in the middle of a trial?
Avery: Nick.
Nick: Workin' on the case?
Ricky: (Sighs) That's all she ever does.
Avery: Uh, you know Ricky Williams?
Nick: Oh, yeah, I saw you in court. Paul's son, right?
Ricky: Yeah.
Nick: Okay, well, don't let me keep you guys.
Avery: Oh, we were just taking a break.
Ricky: We were?
Avery: Yeah. Weren't you gonna meet some friends at the coffeehouse?
Ricky: Right, yes, I was. I almost forgot. Awesome to meet you, Nick.
Nick: See you, Man.
Ricky: You have fun.
Avery: I suppose that's possible if we don't pick up where we left off, arguing about my representing Daisy.
Nick: The last thing I want to do is argue... about anything.
Avery: Sounds like a man who's already gone a few rounds with someone else.
Nick: Yeah.
Avery: And I'll bet I know who that someone is.
Phyllis: Nick is crazy. Look at these hits. That's insane. Who wouldn't love a story like this? Hey.
Malcolm: Phyllis, how could you do this?
Phyllis: What are you--what? Print the news? (Chuckles)
Malcolm: What, is that more important to you than our friendship?
Phyllis: Okay, okay. You yourself told me that Tucker being Devon's father was bound to get out.
Malcolm: So what? Was that a license for you to throw my family's business in the streets?
Phyllis: I'm not doing that. I am not trying to hurt you, Malcolm.
Malcolm: Nobody ever is. No, nobody--not Sofia, not you, not Neil.
Phyllis: What-- what about Neil?
Malcolm: It doesn't matter, Phyllis. Look, Devon didn't deserve this, and neither did my brother.
Phyllis: (Sighs)
Sofia: I want to help, Neil.
Neil: Tucker? That's who you want to help. He's your friend, right? He's the one you're loyal to.
Sofia: I care about you. I care about Devon, too. And, yes, Tucker is my friend. I know him better than anybody.
Neil: Yeah, then you know that he is a selfish jerk who takes what he wants, all right? And has little or no regard for anyone else. Look what he did to his own mother. He charged in and stole her life's work right out from under her.
Sofia: I can talk to him. I can tell him to give you guys some time to adjust to the fact that he's Devon's father.
Neil: Blood doesn't make someone a father.
Sofia: Oh, so is that how you're gonna feel if this baby turns out to be yours, and Malcolm and I decide to raise him? I can only imagine...
Neil: (Sighs)
Sofia: What Tucker must be feeling right now.
Neil: (Sighs) All I care about is how Devon is feeling. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna check in with him right now and see how things went with Katherine. Where did I leave my cell phone? You know what? I think I left it in the nursery.
Sofia: Yeah, why don't you look for it? (Sighs) (Gasps) (Sighs) Wha-- (Whimpers) (Breathing deeply)
Kay: Devon, you have no idea how sorry I am.
Devon: And why is that? 'Cause I found out? Or because you lost the upper hand?
Kay: No, I-I-I--
Devon: I mean, what was the plan really? Was it to keep me in the dark my whole life and just get your private kicks from hiding me in plain sight?
Kay: Of course not.
Devon: Katherine, you used me to get back at your own son. You never believed in me or my talents or anything.
Kay: That's not true. That--that--that is not true, Devon!
Devon: Really? So it's a big coincidence that out of the blue, you start a recording company and make me C.E.O. of it?
Kay: No! No, it wasn't a coincidence. But it wasn't to get back at Tucker, either. Everything I did-- everything I did was to protect you.
Devon: To protect me?
Kay: You have no idea how ruthless and--and-- and unforgiving Tucker is. Your father. Your father. He barely bothered to look for you. Did you know that? (Sighs) I just... I just wasn't about to give him a chance to hurt you any more than he already had, Devon.
Devon: I see. So instead, you hurt me. Thank you for that, 'cause it feels a whole lot better.
Sofia: Okay. Whew. False alarm. (Sighs) (Sighs) Did you find your phone?
Neil: Um, no. I-I didn't. I-I guess maybe I left it at home or--or, uh, yeah, the hospital.
Sofia: Yeah, I'm sure it'll turn up.
Neil: Yeah.
Sofia: (Sighs)
Neil: Um, yeah, I'm gonna-- I'm gonna take off.
Sofia: Okay. Um, Neil? I'm gonna stay and, uh, make a few phone calls if--if that's okay.
Neil: Sure, yeah. That's--that's fine. Lock up when you leave, all right??
Sofia: I will.
Neil: Okay. All right, listen. I'm--I-- I sh--didn't mean to sound so harsh earlier, you know? Uh, I just think it's best if you don't say--
Sofia: I won't say anything to Tucker.
Neil: Good. Thanks. I appreciate your understanding.
Sofia: I understand.
Neil: Okay, well, see you later then, all right?
Sofia: Yeah, later.
(Door opens)
Sofia: Aah! Oh, God. (Sighs)
Sofia: (Sighs)
Malcolm: Yo, what's up?
Sofia: Malcolm, um, can you come back to Lily's, please?
Malcolm: For what, Sophia?
Sofia: Malcolm, please just come. I need you. (Breathing deeply)
Daniel: Look, I'm just glad you found out about it before you read it online. You know, I haven't read the entire article, but knowing my mom...
Lily: (Sighs)
Daniel: She probably covered everything, you know?
Lily: Yeah, exactly. There won't be a detail about Devon's life that's not private.
Daniel: Probably not. They might come looking into your life, too. That's why Cane wanted me to call you.
Lily: Cane?
Daniel: Yeah, your family's gonna be big news. He's worried they're gonna come diggin' around in your life and everything. I don't know.
Lily: (Scoffs) Okay, well, I can handle it, and of all people, Cane should know that. After all the crap I've been through, you learn how to stand up for yourself, you know?
Daniel: Oh, I know. I've been on the receiving end of your temper. (Chuckles)
Lily: About that--
Daniel: Hey, no. Not about that. It's fine. Forgotten.
Lily: Okay. Thank you.
Daniel: Okay, well, since I don't need to stay here and hold your hand, I have a certain journalist that I need to go have a few words with.
Lily: Well, good luck to you.
Daniel: Oh, she's gonna need all the luck she can get. You know... (Clears throat) Cane could have used this whole thing to try and get close to you, and he didn't. Just sayin'. (Taps countertop) Lunch next time. Sorry.
Eden: Yeah, no problem.
Daniel: Okay.
Eden: Hey. I--
Lily: Hi.
Eden: I-I heard what Daniel said about Cane, and I was here when he saw the article. And I know it's none of my business, but, uh, the guy's crazy about you.
Devon: You should have told me the truth.
Kay: The truth? Have you keep it to yourself for the rest of your life? Have you lie to all the people around you?
Devon: At least it would have been up to me.
Kay: I tried to explain, Devon.
Devon: You have explained. You have. And you've also taught me something.
Kay: What's that?
Devon: I used to think that I had all my bases covered. There are street smarts and book smarts. I was always on the lookout for someone to screw me over in business, or even carjack me, but now I know that there are a lot worse things out there.
Kay: Devon, is there nothing I can do to make things right?
Devon: You can apologize to Neil. I think my dad deserves that.
Kay: What about you?
Devon: I don't want anything from you, Mrs. Chancellor.
Cane: (Sighs) Hey.
Kay: You heard?
Cane: Yeah, I heard. I came to see if there was anything I could do to help you.
Kay: Oh, Cane... I don't think anyone can help.
Ashley: He'll call. He'll call.
Tucker: Yeah? How do you know that? You have a crystal ball hidden around here somewhere?
Ashley: I don't need one. Everything I know about you tells me the future you're gonna have with your son.
Tucker: Why don't you enlighten me?
Ashley: Well, he's gonna get to know you... the way that I know you. And then he's not gonna be able to help himself. He's just gonna love you, 'cause you're a great man. You're gonna be a great dad.
Tucker: I love you.
Ashley: What a coincidence. I love you, too.
(Knock on door)
Ashley: Oh!
Tucker: That might be Devon.
Ashley: Okay. I'll get it, okay? Hold on. It's gonna be okay. Abby.
Abby: You pathetic excuse for a dad. What you have done to Devon makes me sick.
Phyllis: 25,000 hits. It's only been up for a couple hours, this story. This is on fire.
Daniel: On fire. Was it worth it?
Phyllis: Hey. What are you talking about?
Daniel: Was it worth it? All the--all the hits, the high fives. Was it worth what you did to Malcolm?
Phyllis: I didn't do anything to Malcolm. Malcolm understands.
Daniel: Oh, does he?
Phyllis: Yeah.
Daniel: Is that what he said when he came over here? Because I heard he stormed out of Crimson Lights pretty hot. Let me guess, he was your "Anonymous" source, right? Only he didn't know it at the time?
Phyllis: I didn't write anything that wasn't true.
Daniel: Oh, well, I guess in that case, it makes it all all right, doesn't it?
Phyllis: It does make it all right. I am a friend writing this story about a friend. Tomorrow, they will not be as sweet. Tomorrow, every major outlet will run this story.
Daniel: Well, tomorrow, maybe the Winters could have wrapped their heads around it. But you couldn't wait, could you? I mean, you had to out scoop the competition.
Phyllis: Yeah, I did. It's my job.
Daniel: That's great. You know what I want to know, Mom? I want to know when you stopped caring. I want to know when you stopped caring about your friends, when you stopped caring about me, family--
Phyllis: Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You know I care about you. What are you doing right now?
Daniel: No, no, no, no, no. All you care about--all you care about, all you love, is getting what you want, getting your way, and getting what you want.
Phyllis: Do not talk to me like this.
Daniel: Come on! Come on. With Lucy, with this story, with Nick, even when he was with Sharon. Well, you've really outdone yourself this time. I hope you're happy.
Daniel: (Sighs)
Nick: Thank you. Um, sports, weather... sports.
Avery: (Chuckles)
Nick: I'll talk about anything except your sister right now.
Avery: Okay, but I should warn you I'm a Bears fan.
Nick: Ooh, sorry. Packers fan, so, you know.
Avery: Oh, last year was a fluke, and you know it.
Nick: Uh... (Chuckles) Avery, those are fighting words. Be careful.
Avery: (Laughs) Okay, maybe we should stick to a safer subject.
Nick: Okay, how about all this stuff? Is this, uh, Sharon's case?
Avery: Yes, yes. I just finished prep on the prosecution witnesses, and I am deep into my defense strategy, which includes constant monitoring of these jurors. I only need one, but I-- I feel like I can get all 12.
Nick: Well, your confidence definitely matches your commitment.
Avery: Well, you never do anything halfway. That's my motto. Oh, let me show you what-- oh, oh, oh, oh!
Nick: Okay, whoa, whoa. Okay, whoa.
Avery: Oh, God, oh, sorry about that. Here, let me get--
Nick: Whoa!
Avery: Oh, my God. Oh, oh.
Nick: Are you--
Avery: Oh.
Nick: Yeah.
Avery: Oh, that's awful. I'm sorry. Oh.
Nick: Yeah, that's, uh, you weren't kidding when you said you don't do things halfway.
Avery: Oh, that's--
Nick: (Chuckles) No, that's okay. It's okay.
Avery: Oh, your jacket. I'm sorry.
Nick: That's all right.
Ashley: What makes you think Tucker's done something to Devon?
Abby: I just saw him.
Tucker: How is he?
Abby: He's great. He's terrific. How do you think he is? He's a mess.
Ashley: He's just got some shocking news, Abby. Of course he's a mess.
Abby: (Stammers) Well, please tell me what kind of sleaze has a kid with someone he barely knows and then just pretends like it never happened? Oh, wait. Right here. Got your guy.
Tucker: That's not how it was.
Abby: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You--you have been out searching for your son every day for the last 20 or so years? No, no, you haven't. You've been busy making billions and having random sex with every desperate groupie...
Ashley: Abby.
Abby: Who threw herself at you.
Ashley: Abby, stop it.
Abby: It's true. Mom, he left Devon with his drug addict mom while he was out living like a rock star. God, you know, just when the thought of you didn't make me want to hurl, I find out that you are even more disgusting than I ever could have imagined. I will never, never accept you into my life or my mom's.
Tucker: (Sighs)
Sofia: (Breathing rhythmically)
Malcolm: Hey.
Sofia: Thank you for comin' so fast.
Malcolm: Yeah, yeah, it sounded like its pretty important, but, listen, Sofia, if you called me back here to talk about your feelings for Neil, I'm not--
Sofia: No, no, this has nothing to do with Neil.
Malcolm: Then what's up?
Sofia: I've been having contractions.
Malcolm: Like labor?
Sofia: (Scoffs) Yeah. They're--they're pretty regular.
Malcolm: It's too soon.
Sofia: Well, tell this to "Junior" here.
Malcolm: Wow. Okay. Okay, so, okay, what do you want to do?
Sofia: Um, look, I know this is not how we planned this, and this is not how we wanted this day to go, but...
Malcolm: Huge understatement.
Sofia: I should have been honest with you about the baby, and... I just should have been honest with myself.
Malcolm: (Sighs) I-I-it's done, Sofia.
Sofia: It is. Malcolm, I want this baby to be yours more than anything I've ever wanted in my entire life, and if it is...
Malcolm: Sofia, if it is, I'll be there for him.
Sofia: Will you be there now for him and me?
Malcolm: Come on. Let's go.
Sofia: Aah!
Malcolm: Another one?
Sofia: (Groans) Oh, my God. They're comin'. This baby is comin' faster than I thought.
Malcolm: Okay, all right. Okay, Baby, it's all right. Just breathe. Breathe through it. That's it. Now listen. The car's in the driveway. Can you make it to the car?
Sofia: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Malcolm: Okay, all right. Let's get you to the hospital, okay? All right.
Sofia: Mm-hmm.
Malcolm: What you need?
Sofia: Get my purse.
Malcolm: Okay, I've got your purse. All right.
Sofia: Okay. Get the door.
Malcolm: Got your coat. Okay.
Kay: (Sighs) Oh, Neil, I am so glad to see you. I was going to call. What--
Kay: What's this?
Avery: I got more. I got more.
Nick: Oh, thank you.
Avery: I am so... (Laughs) I'm so sorry about this.
Nick: It happens. You've got some here, too.
Avery: Oh, my gosh. Oh, no, it happens a lot.
Nick: Here.
Avery: Thank you.
Nick: Right there.
Avery: (Sighs)
Nick: Come on. It's okay.
Avery: You sure? Okay.
Nick: Yeah.
Eden: What goes on with you and Cane is really none of my business. If I said too much before--
Lily: No, no, no, no, no, you didn't. You didn't. I-I mean, the thing is, I-I know how Cane feels, you know? But his feelings aren't really the issue.
Eden: Yeah, I, uh, I know what it's like trying to get over somebody. Sometimes you wonder what it's gonna take, you know?
Lily: Yeah. Thank you.
Eden: Yeah.
Lily: I'm gonna grab some coffee.
Eden: Okay. (Sighs)
Eden: Oh!
Ricky: Oh!
Eden: I'm so sorry.
Ricky: Sorry.
Eden: I didn't even see you.
Ricky: Well, that's, uh, not exactly what you want to hear from a pretty girl.
Eden: Uh, how about thank you for, um, saving my computer?
Ricky: Oh. (Chuckles)
Eden: Yeah.
Ricky: Later.
Cane: Hey.
Lily: Hi. (Clears throat)
Cane: So, I, uh, I, um, heard about Devon. Actually, I read about Devon.
Lily: Yeah.
Cane: You okay?
Lily: Um, I mean, it's been hard, you know? It's a shock.
Cane: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, um, I was gonna call you, but I didn't want--
Lily: Yeah, Daniel told me.
Cane: Well, I'm glad you're okay. And, I just came to get some tea, so...
Lily: Cane, um... (Sighs) Thank you.
Ashley: I thought I made it clear to you. You have nothing to say about my relationship with Tucker.
Abby: Okay, okay.
Ashley: Do you understand me now?
Abby: Yeah, yeah, no, no, you--you want to be with him?
Ashley: I am with him.
Abby: Mom, good, that's fine. Don't expect me to stand around and watch. Don't even expect me to be picking up the pieces later. Because I guarantee you, there will be pieces.
Ashley: When is this gonna stop?
Abby: This guy right here wrecks people's lives, Mom.
Ashley: I want to know when it's gonna stop, Abby.
Abby: Obviously never.
(Cell phone rings)
Tucker: All right, hold it. Hold on. It's my P.R. manager.
Abby: (Scoffs)
Tucker: "Check messages ASAP."
Ashley: What's goin' on?
Tucker: It's out.
Abby: Of course it's out. Did you think you were gonna be able to keep it a secret?
Tucker: Devon. (Sighs) They're gonna be all over him.
Abby: (Scoffs)
Devon: (Sighs)
Kay: You're resigning?
Neil: Effective immediately.
Kay: Neil, can't we talk?
Neil: Katherine, I wish you well. But I can't work for you any longer.
Kay: But... You are my friend, Neil.
Neil: And, Katherine, you were mine.
Harmony: Hey, Baby.
Woman: Excuse me. Aren't you Neil Winters?
Neil: Yeah, that's right.
Woman: You left this here earlier. I found it on the desk.
Neil: Thanks.
Woman: Mm-hmm.
Neil: Thanks very much. I've been lookin' all over for this. Oh, somebody's been tryin' to get a hold of me.
Sofia: Oh. (Winces)
Malcolm: Breathe. Keep breathing. Nurse!
Sofia: (Breathing heavily) They--they're getting stronger.
Neil: Malcolm? Sofia, I--
Sofia: (Sighs)
Malcolm: Just keep breathing.
Neil: Already? I-I-I thought the baby wasn't due until next month.
Malcolm: It doesn't matter what we thought. This baby's on the way now.
Sofia: Yeah. (Inhales sharply) Oh, God.
Malcolm: Come on. Just breathe. Okay. All right.
Next on "The Young and The Restless"...
Malcolm: The father should be in the room when the baby's born.
Harmony: I had to come.
Devon: Now that I'm rich, you're here with your hand out.
Tucker: Where's my mother? Why isn't she here? Is she all right?
