Episode # 9671 ~ Lily Refuses to Believe Cane Is Alive
Provided By Suzanne
Proofread By Emma
Neil: That woman-- she's just standing there.
Daniel: Why the hell isn't she helping him?
Lily: I have to get to the babies.
Neil: I'm gonna call the police again. Yeah, hi.
Jill: Yes, get the babies.
Neil: This is Neil Winters. I called earlier. I'm at the McMillan estate on North Shore Drive. We need the police and an ambulance.
Jill: Colin, hang on! Hang on, you bastard.
Genevieve: Look up, Colin. Look up. I want to see your face as you die.
Colin: You won't let me fall. You don't have it in you.
Genevieve: You have no idea.
Colin: (Sighs)
Cane: (Grunts)
Rogers: Let's go, you two. We got a plane to catch.
Cane: (Grunts)
Rogers: (Grunts)
(Loud explosion)
Cane: (Grunts)
Lily: Wait! My babies!
Neil: Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Cane: It's okay. It's all right. It's over. The babies are safe. It's over, Lily. (Breathing heavily)
Genevieve: Look at me, Darling. I want to see your eyes.
Colin: Just... just give me your hand. You can punch 'em both out when I get up there.
Jill: Colin! What the hell is wrong with you? Do something!
Genevieve: I already have.
Jill: Oh, I don't know who the hell you are, you crazy woman. Give me your other hand, Colin.
Colin: Okay, what kept you?
Jill: Oh, shut up. Don't talk to me.
Colin: Whatever. Just get me outta here.
Jill: (Grunts)
Genevieve: Are you sure you want to do that?
Jill: Do what? Save my husband?
Genevieve: No, Dear. Save my husband.
Colin: Jill! Jill!
Jill: (Gasps)
(Colin hits ground)
Genevieve: Oops.
Jill: (Breathing heavily)
Victor: Well...
Lauren: Oh, hi.
Victor: I hope you haven't been waiting too long.
Lauren: No, it gave me a chance to be even more intrigued by your call. You and I don't get a chance to do this.
Victor: Michael told me what's been going on.
Lauren: With Daisy.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: Yeah, not exactly a welcome development, but I'm trying not to let it get to me much.
Victor: I let Phyllis know in no uncertain terms what I thought about her bringing that woman into town. I'm gonna make damn sure that Lucy stays with Victoria.
Lauren: I know you will, Victor.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: Now listen, I can't imagine you asked me here to talk about that.
Victor: I wan discuss the future of Fenmore with you. If a certain deal goes through, I want you to help me revamp the Jabot cosmetics line.
Jack: Katherine. I'm glad you could make it.
Kay: All right, now don't make regret coming to see you.
Jack: Just a little friendly talk. That's all.
Kay: Jack, I'm not having another discussion with you about selling Jabot. No, I'm not, Darling. It's my company. Uh, it's my decision. And under the circumstances, I--
Jack: Tucker's condition, you mean.
Kay: Yeah.
Jack: That's been a real shock to all of us, but especially to you. I mean, one minute, you're in a tug-of-war over wedding locations. The next, you’re sitting at your son's hospital bedside. I know your relationship with Tucker hasn't been an easy one, but I also want you to know you've done a great thing looking after Tucker and his business this way. And when he wakes up, and I pray that happens soon, I know he's gonna appreciate everything you've one.
Kay: Thank you, Jack. But, um, Victor's offer was quite exceptional.
Jack: A lot of zeros, I imagine.
Kay: Oh, Jack, come on. This is not just about money, Darling. This is a very sound business move, and I stand behind it.
Jack: Fair enough, but for everything Victor can do for Jabot, you know, there is one thing he can't do, and I'm not talking about sentimentality or devotion to a legacy or anything like that. I'm talking about a giant business leap that Jabot is poised to take. It's huge, Katherine. It's transformative. And it can't happen without me in charge.
Jill: The woman was a lunatic. She just stood there like she wanted him to fall. Well, there's no question. She did want him to fall. It's exactly what she want-- I tried to hold him in spite of all the-- God, the lies.
Woman: The suspect, he's your--
Jill: Where is that woman? Are you questioning her? Somebody should be questioning her, although I have to tell you, you can't believe anything hat she says, but... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I know none of this makes any sense to you.
Woman: So the suspect we just loaded for transport-- he's your husband?
Jill: I honestly have no idea. (Sighs)
Lily: Give me my babies now!
Cane: Lily--
Lily: No, you can hear the sirens. The police are coming.
Neil: Hey, hey, hey, hey. We're--we're not playing with you, Man. Give us the kids and get out of here.
Cane: Neil, you know I'm not gonna hurt these babies.
Daniel: Shut up, Caleb shut up. You get some cheap thrill out of torturing your brother's widow?
Neil: Lily, he's not--
Lily: Yeah, no, no, I know. He's not a ghost. He's not Cane. He's some twisted freak who has been stalking me.
Cane: That's not true, Baby. It's me, all right? Sweetheart, it's me. It's Cane. I'm your Cane. It's me.
Lily: Give me my children.
Cane: All right, okay, Baby, here. Go to your mommy. Go to your mommy.
Lily: It's okay, Baby.
Neil: There we go.
Lily: Okay. Oh, my God. Thank God.
Neil: Here, you want me to take him? It's okay. They're good. All right.
Lily: Here, here.
Matty: (Cries)
Neil: Ohh.
Lily: Okay. Okay. Okay, Baby. Okay. It's okay. Thank God.
Cane: Tell her. Tell her.
Neil: You've got a lot of nerve trying to call the shots after what you put us all through.
Cane: Neil knows.
Daniel: Everybody knows. Everybody knows. She watched her husband die, Man. You're not him.
Cane: Tell her.
Lily: Cane was a good man who bled to death in my arms, and you can't ever pretend to be him again.
Cane: Tell her. Tell her.
Neil: Um, hey. Hey, Honey, he's--he's not pretending. It's--its Cane.
Matty: (Babbles)
Cane: Baby, it's true. It wasn't me that night on the church steps. It wasn't me. I'm alive, Baby. I'm here. It's--it's me.
Matty: Da-da.
Cane: Colin is my father, and he was gonna take the babies away, and I did what I did to protect you and them.
Daniel: Oh, yeah, yeah, 'cause Cane would torture his wife.
Lily: What you did to me and my kids- I let you in the room with my children.
Neil: Sweetheart--
Lily: No, Cane was a decent, loving husband and father.
Neil: Lily, listen to me. He's telling you the truth.
Lily: (Sighs)
Neil: As much as I hate what he put you through, he went up against Colin in the end he tried to protect Charlie and Matty, and Jill-- he's worried about Jill.
Lily: Dad, this Caleb has been putting on a show for months now. He made me think that I was crazy, and now he's sucking you in, too.
Neil: Don't you think I'm mad at him, as well? But what did he do? He handed you the kids, right? He didn't run off with them, which is exactly what Colin planned. Colin admitted that this is Cane.
Lily: Oh, Colin and-- the--they're both liars. Nothing they do or say is real.
Cane: I put your ring in a fortune cookie the second time I asked you to marry me. That was real.
Lily: Stop it.
Cane: Your dance instructor called you and said, "Come to the studio." When you got there, you found a pink rose. I shaved your head before you had chemo, only before that, you cut off your ponytail.
Lily: Stop.
Cane: The day I bought Jimmy's bar, you got Humphrey from the shelter. You know why we called him Humphrey? Humphrey Bogart, Baby, after our favorite movie. We made a video for our babies so they'd know how much we loved them. It's all real, Sweetheart.
Lily: (Sighs) It's you.
Jill: Hey! Crazy lady! Hey, wacko!
Jill: (Gasps) Oh, my God, what-- what in the...
Genevieve: Do you recognize the girl?
Jill: Yeah. It's Samantha, Colin's daughter.
Genevieve: Colin's daughter... and Ethan's sister... and my baby.
Jill: So what you said on the balcony about being Colin's wife-- which I am not saying I believe--
Genevieve: It's not subjective. It's just... fact.
Jill: Okay. You're Samantha's mother? Does that mean that Cane is... that you're Cane's mother?
Genevieve: The only one he'll ever have.
Jack: Vallion's, Devon-Martley, the Finnelly group--
Kay: I, uh, I am familiar with department stores, Jack.
Jack: And home shopping network.
Kay: What about it?
Jack: They appear to be very interested in this.
Kay: (Sighs) You've created a new logo for Jabot?
Jack: A bold new look for a revolutionary new product. With this cactus pectin skin care line that Ashley has developed, we can make Jabot an industry powerhouse again. And believe me, the sales execs are interested. They're more than interested. They're salivating.
Kay: You discussed a Jabot product line... a company that you no longer work for?
Jack: This is Ashley's line, Katherine.
Kay: No, it's my company, Jack. Mine. And for you to engage in discussions with any store-- I found out--
Jack: These stores are a game-changer. We are in a position to start a buying frenzy. But we have to-- we have to move quickly to capitalize on what these products can do for Jabot, and, yes, that meant my calling a few business associates to test the waters.
Kay: Without my permission.
Jack: I was willing to step on a few toes...
Kay: (Chuckles)
Jack: In order to maintain momentum.
Kay: Oh, my toes, and I should kick you right in--
Jack: These people are all but ready to sign contracts and pop corks.
Kay: Even the home shopping network?
Jack: Especially them. This is a match made in heaven. High-quality products meet high-volume sales. It's a perfect home for Ashley's new line, and they are champing at the bit.
Kay: What do you expect, as a finder's fee?
Jack: I'm not looking for a finder's fee.
Kay: No?
Jack: But you have to know, none of this is going to happen without me. No television deal, no special shelf space in these stores is going to happen unless I'm involved.
Kay: Involved?
Jack: Appoint me C.E.O. of Jabot, or they all walk away.
Kay: What a surprise.
Jack: Or you could sell to Victor and turn your back on all the profits these products are going to bring to Jabot. It's your decision.
Lauren: I'm confused. I-I thought you just said Jabot and not Beauty of Nature, the company that you own.
Victor: Right. If all goes well, I hope to be owning both.
Lauren: Really?
Victor: Provided the deal goes through, I am thinking in terms of a global transformation of the Jabot image.
Lauren: (Sighs) That sounds very ambitious.
Victor: It is. And I can't think of a better platform from which to launch that new Jabot product than Fenmore's. It should be front and center.
Lauren: It should.
Victor: Because Fenmore's brings a certain sophistication to the table, as do you.
Lauren: Well, thank you. Um, but I-I'm really having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that you would be owning Jabot. I--you don't as of yet, right?
Victor: If you're asking me if this is still speculative, yes, it is. But I'm an optimist and hoping for a positive outcome.
Lauren: I would expect nothing less.
Victor: Are you interested to hear more?
Lauren: (Laughs) Definitely. Definitely. So how would you envision this business arrangement?
Victor: You'd be Newman's partner in this endeavor, and Fenmore would have the exclusive rights to sell the new Jabot cosmetics line.
Lauren: And then you would go wide at other stores?
Victor: But there'd be more in this for you than just money.
Lauren: I’m almost afraid to ask.
Victor: Newman Enterprises is about to go public.
Lauren: Oh, yeah, I am well aware of that. You see, Michael mumbles "I.P.O." in his sleep.
Victor: I want you on the Newman board of directors.
Lauren: (Chuckles) I'm honored and flattered, uh, and shocked.
Victor: Why are you shocked? You're a leading force in the cosmetics business. You have vision. You have courage. But most importantly, I trust you.
Lauren: (Sighs) A-and--and even... if this doesn't pan out, and our businesses--
Victor: I still want you on my board of directors.
Lauren: I'm sure you'll understand that I need to consult my attorney.
Victor: All right. Well, it so happens that your attorney is on my retainer, so I have a feeling that he will approve, don't you?
Lauren: (Chuckles) A-and there's one more thing. You know, Victor, I don't have sole ownership of Fenmore's anymore.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: Jill will have a vote in what we do, and, um, well, my sister and I don't always see eye to eye.
Victor: I understand that. But I have a feeling that she'll realize this is beneficial to everyone concerned.
Lauren: Mm-hmm. Well, she's clever. She's creative.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: But if she feels slighted in any way, she can make your life a living hell.
Genevieve: Genevieve Atkinson.
Jill: You know, tacking Colin's name on to yours doesn't make you his wife.
Genevieve: No, but marrying him, living with him, and bearing his children does.
Jill: You stood out on that balcony, and watched him dangling. You were willing to watch him die.
Genevieve: I take it he survived.
Jill: Yes. The bushes broke his fall. You didn't even blink, though, just like a zombie.
Genevieve: Because I'm not weeping on the floor for Colin? Forgive me. I know him better than that.
Jill: Ahh, meaning you know him better than I do?
Genevieve: Well, did you know that he had a wife and three children? Did you know that he came back to the United States specifically to bring Ethan back into the fold? Did you know that he was going to kidnap his own grandchildren and take them back to Australia? Did you know anything about him other than the fact that he has a charming accent and knows how to talk a woman into bed, huh?
Jill: I haven't had a chance to talk to him about anything.
Genevieve: And what exactly could he say to you that would make it all okay? That this is a lie? It isn't. You played house with my husband, mothered my son, but that's all over, because I'm here now.
Jill: (Sighs) This is, uh, Colin's daughter, right? And you laid her out like this to what? To torment him? To lure him up here so you could shove him to his death? That is not exactly the act of a sane person, is it? So you will forgive me if your claims don't mean squat to me.
Genevieve: That's all right, Dear. You're in shock. Colin is a fake and a bigamist, and you need more proof. That's okay. I understand. Go get it. Go ask Ethan, your beloved Cane. He'll have all the answers you need.
Cane: The only way I could protect you and the babies was to let my father think I was Caleb.
Lily: And Colin-- that's your father? And you never even mentioned to me that you had a brother.
Cane: If you want to come with me, we can sit down. I'll tell you everything you want to know.
Daniel: (Scoffs)
Neil: Wait, wait, hold on. Hold on, Man. You want her to go somewhere with you? And tell her what? Explain why you wanted her to lose her mind? No, no, that's not gonna happen.
Daniel: No, no, no. Yeah, he wants to go tell her how much he loves her and all the sacrifices that he had to make for her, right? How it hurt you more than it hurt her. She wound up in a psych ward, Man, away from her kids!
Cane: I know that.
Lily: I dreamed about Cane... my Cane. And then there you were, a-a ghost outside of my window. And then you were inside my house. And being with you meant that I was losing touch with reality, but I didn't even care, because that's how much I loved you. I thought I was gonna hurt Charlie and Matty. I thought they weren't safe with me.
Cane: I know, and I'm sorry.
Lily: You know.
Neil: Honey.
Lily: You know. (Scoffs)
Neil: Come on. Come on, we're gonna get out of here. Let's go. Come on.
Lily: I can't even look at you.
Cane: Whenever you want to talk to me, whenever you want to hear, I'll--I'll--
Daniel: She--she's not gonna be ready to talk to you, okay?
Cane: There are things that happened that had to happen the way they did. You don't understand.
Daniel: You go anywhere near her--you listen-- you go anywhere near her...
Cane: You don't understand.
Daniel: I promise you, I will take you out myself.
Cane: Where is he?
Genevieve: Ethan, would you like some tea?
Cane: I don't want your damn tea! I want him!
Genevieve: Your father?
Cane: Yes!
Genevieve: Last I heard, he was on his way to the hospital. The police were swarming here. They will nail him for something. Not what he deserves, not murder, but something. How are the kids?
Cane: I don't know how the kids are. Lily took the kids away, Mom.
Genevieve: (Sighs) You protected your children, Ethan. It was heroic.
Cane: They're my kids. It's what I'm supposed to do. It's called being a father. It's not meant to be heroic.
Genevieve: Not that you had any example to follow. Your father let two of his children die. Meanwhile, yours are safe and sound at home and probably asleep now.
Cane: She's not going to forgive me for what I've done. You know that, right?
Genevieve: For what you've done for her, not to her.
Cane: She-- she doesn't see it that way, and I don't blame her.
Genevieve: Ethan, you told me that you and Lily had found true love. Now either you believe that or you don't. Personally, I think that that's a pleasant myth that people tell themselves to keep themselves warm. But the love that you have for your children-- that love is real. You protected your children. You stopped your father, and he's suffering. If you ask for anything more than that, you're just a fool looking for another round of misery.
Cane: Don't.
Neil: All right, will do. Thanks a lot. Bye-bye.
Daniel: They asleep?
Lily: Yeah, they were exhausted. Thanks.
Neil: Um, Honey, that was Malcolm. He sends is love. He wants to see you as soon as Sofia gets the all clear from the hospital.
Lily: How is she? How--how's the baby?
Neil: Everybody's holding steady. Olivia's consulting with the O.B. there. Sofia's in good spirits. Listen, Malcolm just wants you to be okay, like we all do.
Lily: Yeah, I guess technically, I am okay. You know, I'm not in a psych ward anymore, and the twins aren't in danger. I just... I can't catch my breath, you know? I-I can't feel relieved about any of this.
Neil: Lily, no one expects that.
Lily: I mean, every lie that Cane told doesn't even compare to this. It's like I-I sobbed alone in my bed, and this whole time, he was alive. And I-I-I thought I was-- I was crazy, and he made me crazy. I mean, he--he married me and h-had a family with me, and then dies and haunts me? Who does that? I mean, there is no excuse for that.
Daniel: No, no, there isn't an excuse for that. He should be locked up with his father, but you know you're gonna be okay, right? I mean, you're gonna get through this. After all the head games that Cane played with you, you're here with your kids, and you're safe and sane.
Neil: Yeah, that's absolutely bight. Daniel is right. Cane showed you his worst, and look at you. You're still standing, right? You're still here.
Daniel: Yeah. But it's like you said, Cane, your husband, that guy's dead. You leave him buried.
Neil: Oh, amen to that.
Lily: I'm just so glad that I'm not crazy. And I have you two and everyone else who loves me and the twins.
Neil: You do have us, too. And we will do whatever it takes to make this easier.
Lily: I really don't think it can be made easier. This isn't even over, and I don't think it ever will be.
Colin: Do you really have to be here?
Man: Until you get hauled off to jail, yeah. I'm here.
Colin: Well, shouldn't you be guarding from the outside?
Man: If any visitors show, only family members get in.
Colin: (Chuckles) (Winces) Well, this is gonna be one cushy job... (Sighs) 'cause there ain't gonna be any of them.
(Cell phone rings) (Ring)
Jill: Yeah?
Lauren: Jill, I have been trying to reach you. Where have you been?
Jill: I don't even... I can't...
Lauren: What's wrong? Where are you?
Jill: I'm at Crimson Lights. Lauren, I can't go back in that house. I can't look at all his stuff.
Lauren: Okay, I-I'm on my way.
Kay: Oh, Lauren.
Lauren: Good to see you.
Kay: Ahh, Victor. (Sighs)
Victor: Well, I have some news...
Kay: Ahh?
Victor: Regarding Newman's possible acquisition of Jabot.
Kay: Well, for a company I want off my plate, God, it is consuming all my time.
Jack: Katherine didn't commit to anything, but I definitely got her attention. By telling her the truth-- that once I'm C.E.O. again, your cactus pectin line is gonna be breaking sales records. Of course it'll work. It has to. The only other option is Victor buying Jabot, and that means we kiss Jabot good-bye forever, and I am not gonna let that happen.
Neil: Okay, the twins are fine.
Daniel: Yeah, so they're fine. If you want to get some sleep, you know...
Neil: Or if you want us to get some food for you...
Daniel: Food, yeah?
Lily: Okay, you guys, stop, okay? I love you both, but I'm fine, so just stop.
Neil: Okay, stopping. Stopping. We can stop. That's fine. What--whatever you need.
Daniel: Yeah.
Lily: I need air. I need time to think.
Daniel: You know what? I love air. Let's go get some air. That's a great idea.
Lily: No. (Sighs) Alone. That's-- that's what I need, okay?
Neil: Honey, I'm not too sure that being alone is the best idea right now.
Lily: Dad, I'm fine, okay? If I haven't fallen apart yet, then I'm not going to. And I'm not saying that to make you feel better. I'm saying that because it's true.
Neil: Okay, um, if you need us, then...
Lily: Yeah, I know. I know. Thank you.
Cane: Mother?
(Cell phone vibrates)
Cane: Hello? I'm on my way.
Jill: Colin's late daughter and Cane's murdered sister are one and the same person. And the mother--oh, Lord, what that woman was saying.
Lauren: (Sighs) I-I'm so sorry.
Jill: I just don't know who to believe, you know? I know that my romance with Colin was whirlwind. I know that there was all kinds of stuff I didn't know about him. But this I mean, I don't know what to think.
Lauren: (Sighs)
Jill: I don't know who to believe.
Lauren: Look, no one expects you to, you know, come up with all the answers now.
Jill: Well, of course not, because I'm a fool. That's what you think, isn't it?
Lauren: No, no, I don't. No.
Jill: No, you do. Yes, you do think I'm a fool. You think I brought this on myself. Katherine's gonna think that. Katherine will never stop rubbing my nose in it.
Lauren: (Sighs)
Jill: Oh, Lord, if it's true. If it's true. If he married that woman, if he's a vicious, evil liar who just wanted to steal Cane's children, I am a fool. I am.
Lauren: Oh, you stop. Stop.
Jill: (Sighs)
Lauren: Look, you don't have all the answers. Do not beat yourself up about this.
Jill: But what if he really did do those horrible things?
Lauren: Look at me. I mean, is my past all perfect and--and pretty? And--and what about Michael's and his brother? People can be redeemed, and you love him.
Jill: I wonder if he ever loved me, or if he was just using me in his little game.
Lauren: There's only one way to find out. Go to him.
(Door opens)
Man: Your wife's here to see you.
Colin: Jill?
Genevieve: I win.
Victor: Lauren understands fully how this could be beneficial to both of us. I think Fenmore will be on board when it comes to the relaunching of the new Jabot cosmetics line. We could create the same kind of magic that John created.
Kay: That part-- John. I've been thinking a lot about him lately.
Victor: Well, don't you think he would be very happy that you gave Jabot a new life?
Kay: A new life, but not in Abbott hands.
Victor: (Sighs) You're not having second thoughts, are you?
Kay: (Scoffs) Victor, I don't know what I've been thinking or saying on occasion lately. I truly don't.
Victor: Katherine, you have too much on your plate. That's why I'm offering to take Jabot off your hands.
Kay: I know. I know.
Victor: Do you really know? Really understand? This will be beneficial for all of us. You think about this very carefully, okay?
Kay: Yeah.
Victor: I gotta go. You take care, okay? Bye-bye. Okay.
Victor: Jack.
Jack: Quite the sly move trying to steal Jabot.
Victor: With the price I offered Katherine, that's hardly stealing.
Jack: Not from Katherine, from me. Just don't start twirling your mustache too soon. I'm still in his game.
Victor: Oh, yeah? As the water boy?
Kay: (Thinking) What do I do, John?
Colin: Did you go off your meds after I split from you?
Genevieve: (Scoffs)
Colin: I mean, what was that business at the house?
Genevieve: You mean on the balcony? Why so surprised, Colin? Of course I want you dead.
Colin: Dead, I can handle. But the house and the pictures and the music? I mean... you've always been a drama queen, but even that-- that was extreme, even for you. And... and Samantha's pictures on the--
Genevieve: Oh, you've got a lot of nerve speaking her name to me?
Colin: You had that poor girl's ashes on display. I mean, they've gotta be hosing out your padded cell right now. They should throw in a rabies shot, for instance.
Genevieve: That is classic. Mocking my grief for the daughter that you took from this world.
Colin: (Sighs)
Genevieve: (Scoffs) And meanwhile, you just go blithely along with a new wife, no less.
Colin: Leave Jill out of this.
Genevieve: Uh-huh. Stealing your grandchildren, Colin? Really? Now what were you going to do with them? Turn them into your little ones, like you tried to do with Caleb and Ethan? Yeah, we had one child-- one child who had the opportunity to grow up untainted, and all I have left of her are her ashes and the photographs! And the young, sweet, naive woman that you wooed and seduced and married-- she is ashes, too. And do you know why? Because according to you and the faux Mrs. Atkinson, I'm deranged, and I'm dangerous, so you better be shakin' in your boots right about now, Honey. You should wonder what I might do next.
Colin: (Sighs)
Genevieve: Because I have nothing left to lose, my friend, nothing.
Man: Hey.
Jill: I know. I know. I already talked to the nurse at the desk. Only family's allowed. I'm his wife.
Man: But the wife's already in there.
Jill: The hell she is.
Daniel: How are the kids?
Neil: Huh? Uh, still sleeping. Perfect.
Daniel: (Sighs)
Neil: No idea what almost happened today.
Daniel: Yeah, I keep thinking about that with Lucy, how she's oblivious.
Neil: (Sighs)
Daniel: At least, I hope she is, you know?
Neil: Mm-hmm. Yeah, the blessing of infancy. They grow up. They hear things. I just pray that Charlie and Matty never find out what their father put their mother through.
Daniel: (Scoffs) The ghost, really? I mean, the guy walks around pretending to be a ghost... you know, he made damn sure that he messed with Lily's head until she didn't know what was real anymore. (Stammers) Is there any way to explain that it doesn't make this guy out to be a total ass?
Neil: (Sighs) No, no, no, no, no. There's not. There's really not. I--dig this. He had her frightened and the babies for such a long time. What kind of individual does that? It's just plain evil. I'm not sure that I'll be able to control myself around him. You know that?
Daniel: Well, there's something to hope for.
Neil: Oh, we're gonna have a conversation, all right. And when we do, he's got another thing comin'. (Sighs)
Cane: Hey. Thank you.
Lily: I have questions.
Cane: I know you do. And whatever you want to ask, however long it takes, I'll tell you whatever you need to know.
Lily: How could you do this to me?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"..
Colin: Jill, listen, you wanted to hear my part of the story.
Olivia: You're Rh-negative.
Sofia: Well, is there a problem?
