Sharon: Gotcha. You're okay now. (Sighs) (Chuckles)

Fanny: (Bleats)
Piper: Fanny?
Sharon: (Chuckles) We found her.
Piper: You got her!
Sharon: Yeah. Oh, she missed you.
Piper: (Chuckles) Hey.
Sharon: Yeah.
Sam: Whew, it is rough out there. You know what? I'm gonna grab a bag so I can check out our little escape artist, all right?
(Thunder crashes)
Sharon: Well, Sam called your parents and let them know what's happening, and, um, as soon as we get Fanny all settled in...
Fanny: (Bleats)
Sharon: He'll drive you home.
Piper: I mean, I wish I could stay over here. Fanny might need me, and it's more exciting here.
Sharon: Home isn't always the most exciting place, but it is very special.
Piper: Yeah, but you left home, so if I stayed over here, I would be just like you, Sheri.
Diane: There's a pot of minestrone on the stove. Help yourself.
Adam: Ahh, so the soon-to-be ex Mrs. Newman cooks, and without a fleet of servants, huh?
Diane: I know. I know. And I miss them so much. But I'm here now, so the least I can do is pitch in... as your housemate, okay? Not your handmaiden, so don't even think about starting to bark orders at me.
Adam: Hey, hey, hey. You're here rent-free, Honey. Don't you think it's a little soon to be flexin' that muscle of yours?
Diane: This happens to be a-a mutually beneficial arrangement. I get a roof over my head, and you get to stick it to your old dad by having me here. Now if you'll excuse me...
Adam: Wait, you're not gonna draw a bath for me and rub my feet?
Diane: Eat the soup, Adam, or I'll bring it to the guards.
Jack: Hey, you're back.
Traci: I, uh, picked up a bunch of things for Abby so she'd have some clothes to wear home.
Ashley: Oh, thank you so much. I'm so happy she's getting out of this place. It's just... (Sighs) It's just too much.
Traci: Ashley, you're exhausted. You have got to rest.
Ashley: I've got Tucker in there, Traci-- tubes coming out and God only knows when he's gonna wake up. And then I got Abby being just so harassed by that detective with the questions and the insinuations.
Jack: Do you want me to get an attorney on top of this?
Ashley: It's already been handled, Jack. Victor suggested that I use Michael.
Victor: (Scoffs)
Sofia: Oh, how is he?
(Ventilator hisses)
Sofia: He's back on the ventilator? But his living will said no more intubation.
Kay: Uh, Tucker's living will didn't say no to a feeding tube, so, uh, what good is that if he can't breathe?
Sofia: (Sighs) Is this all your doing?
Kay: (Sighs) Tucker is not ready to leave this world, and I will not allow it. Now do you have a problem with that?
Sofia: Mrs. Chancellor... thank you.
Kay: (Laughs) Oh, my.
Sofia: (Laughs)
Abby: Thank you so much, Aunt Traci. Naked is one thing, but leaving in that hideous hospital gown?
Traci: (Laughs)
Abby: It's so wrong, so wrong.
Traci: (Sobs)
Abby: What's wrong?
Traci: Oh, Abby, I'm so sorry. I'm just havin' a moment. I-I--seeing you in this bed, in this room...
Abby: It's like Colleen.
Traci: (Sobs) I'm sorry. Come here. Oh, Honey.
Abby: Oh, I'm so sorry.
Traci: I'm so glad you're all right. Listen, I'm gonna try to get myself together. Just give me a minute. I'm sorry, Sweetie.
Abby: No.
Traci: Be right back.
Abby: (Sighs)
Mauro: I thought we could finish our discussion.
Abby: Oh. (Scoffs) I'm sorry, how many times do my mom and I have to tell you? I'm just in no shape for any kind of formal inquiry.
Mauro: That's not what this is about at all. I just have a couple quick question about what happened the other night.
Abby: Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Mauro: Like--like what was your mother's mood at the rehearsal dinner?
Abby: What do you think it was, okay? It was a party. She was happy. She was happy.
Mauro: Did she and Tucker quarrel or seem upset?
Abby: Oh, my God. You think that my mom meant to run Tucker down? (Scoffs)
Sofia: They're all just words at first, phrases. You know, like... "Force of nature," "Bigger than life." And then you meet a man like Tucker McCall, and the words really make sense.
Kay: How did you turn from employee to friends?
Sofia: It was actually the other way around, really. (Chuckles)
Kay: Yeah?
Sofia: He and my father used to argue over Sunday dinner. (Chuckles) Free market economies and supply and demand.
Kay: (Chuckles)
Sofia: (Chuckles) Then one day, I told Tucker he needed to hire me. (Laughs)
Kay: (Laughs)
Sofia: And then when my father passed, he, uh...
Kay: Stepped in.
Sofia: Yeah. It all made sense, really. I didn't have a father. Tucker never had a child, and...I was supposed to be by his side when he married Ashley.
Traci: (Sighs)
Jack: Hey. Hey, what's this?
Traci: (Chuckles) Sorry. I'm s-- oh, Ashley, I'm so sorry. (Laughs) I had a little bit of a meltdown in Abby's room. (Sighs) This place, Colleen...
Jack: Colleen, of course. I'm sorry. We weren't even thinking about that now.
Ashley: I know. I mean, Traci, you shouldn't even be here.
Traci: I-I want to be here for you and for Abby, whatever you need.
Ashley: I don't even know what that is, Traci. I mean, my mind is...
Jack: Y-you know what? You were in an accident, too. Maybe we should have the doctors check you out again.
Ashley: I'm fine. It's--it's gonna be easier once they tell me that Tucker's gonna be well again. Excuse me. I'm sorry.
Jack: Uh...
Traci: We've got to get her some rest and some decent food to eat, not just coffee.
Jack: I'm gonna also make sure she isn't bothered by the office. With both Ashley and Tucker out of commission, I'd like to think somebody is serving as C.E.O. of Jabot.
Traci: What? Jabot? That is your priority right now?
Jack: No, Ashley is my priority. Jabot is a concern. If I can protect my father's legacy through a difficult time, that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
Traci: (Sighs)
Adam: This is, uh, this is amazing soup. Thumbs up-- I'm on my second bowl.
Diane: Yeah, well, you might want to slow down there, though, 'cause you might choke, and then I'll have to decide whether or not I want to save you. (Chuckles) (Sighs)
Adam: That's cute, your little scratchy banter with me. I'll allow it, 'cause you're not my servant.
Diane: Right. It's just that I believe i-in full transparency, you know? So there are no misunderstandings. And of my own free will, I probably will cook from time to time, 'cause "A," I like to, and "B," Kyle likes my pot roast. Speaking of which, we really should discuss how my son is gonna fit into all of this, right? This arrangement of ours.
Adam: He, uh, he lives with Jack, right?
Diane: We split the week. Tonight's my night.
Adam: That's fine. He can come over, as long as he doesn't, uh, make a mess or throw attitude.
Diane: (Laughs) You brought me here to watch Victor's head explode. You're a fine one to talk about attitude.
Adam: Point well made. Bring him over. The more, the merrier. It's too bad I'm awful at video games, though.
(Knock on door)
Diane: (Sighs) Allow me.
Adam: Have fun.
Diane: Victor.
Adam: Head explosion in T minus three... two... hey, Dad. How are you? Meet my new roommate.
Diane: (Sighs)
Abby: My mom adores Tucker McCall, okay? She swoons in his presence. Trust me, she thinks the dude walks on water.
Mauro: And you disagree?
Abby: (Sighs) I'm not engaged to him.
Mauro: You got hauled in for destruction of property...
Abby: (Sighs)
Mauro: At the park that Mr. McCall and your mother were supposed to be married.
Abby: I had a bad moment.
Mauro: And that moment might have caused some friction between your mother and her fiancé.
Abby: What? Friction? No, trust me, they were totally a united front.
Mauro: Them against you?
Abby: No. (Sighs) Them for me, actually. Tucker made those charges go away.
Mauro: It must be really tough on your mother knowing that you hate her fiancé.
Abby: Well, I don't hate him.
Mauro: So you had no idea why Tucker was out at your family's cabin?
Abby: (Scoffs) Yeah, he was going to a bachelor party, okay? It was old-school. Whatever.
Mauro: So you-- you had no idea that he was meeting Diane Jenkins?
Abby: (Scoffs)
Mauro: Maybe your mother found out about the affair. Maybe she was going out there to confront the man who walks on water.
Abby: No, that is not what happened. This was my fault. I set up Tucker and Diane to meet at the cabin. There was nothing between them.
Ashley: Abby, that's enough. How dare you come in here and interrogate my daughter? I told you to stay away from her.
Mauro: So you arranged for Diane...
Ashley: Abby, say nothing.
Mauro: And Tucker to meet at the cabin, and then you made it look to the world like they were having an affair?
Abby: Look, I-I'm tired, okay? And I'm not gonna answer another one of your questions without my attorney present.
Mauro: Then I guess we're done here.
Abby: Oh, God, Mom, I am so sorry, okay? Look, I-I saw Tucker's phone, and there was a text from Diane, and I just wanted to show you that you can't trust him, so I secretly sent them both texts, okay? I just thought if I could get them in the same room that they would just, you know, and I-I didn't want anyone to get hurt, okay?
Ashley: You wanted me to find Tucker in bed with another woman, but I wasn't supposed to get hurt? He could be dying. I've been blaming him and doubting him because of your lie. (Voice breaking) I don't know who you are anymore, Abby.
Abby: No, you do know who I am. I love you more than anything, and I know you told me not to talk about that night, but I-I--she was trying to make it sound like you wanted to hit Tucker, so I told her, because anything, Mom-- anything that happens to Tucker is all my fault.
Ashley: (Normal voice) Shut up! Do you understand me? You are not ever gonna take responsibility for that accident. Do you understand me?
(Ventilator hisses)
Sofia: Tucker, you know I watched my father slip away. But you, Mr. McCall, you are too busy. You are too bossy. You got too many people left to tussle with. I mean, look at your mother-- all the arguments you two have over business. And she is not about to let you go, and neither am I. Now I got you covered at work, but that is just for now, because you're gonna be back-- back in control soon, because you have to be. You have to be, Tucker.
Jack: We've rallied around Ashley and Abby. We--we need to rally around Jabot. It's all family.
Traci: No, it's all about your fixation to be the head of that company.
Jack: No, no, listen to me. Ashley has developed a whole new product line for Jabot. It could be a game changer. I can help keep her and the company on course.
Traci: Have you forgotten, Jack? Because I haven't. In this hospital in a room right down the hall, a room very much like Abby's, I held Colleen, and I begged her... (Voice breaking) Not to leave us. And she did, and I broke when she slipped away. So don't you dare try to justify your ridiculous goals to be a big man at Jabot. Don't say that to me. Don't you dare. (Sniffles)
Jack: Traci, I--
Traci: (Sobs) No. (Sighs)
Jack: (Sighs)
Jack: Katherine.
Kay: Yes?
Jack: Any word on Tucker?
Kay: Well, we wait, pray, wait some more.
Jack: If there's anything I can do, anything at all...
Kay: Oh, that's very sweet of you, but I think Abby and Ashley need you.
Jack: Well, I'll be there for them. I imagine nerves are a bit rattled over at Chancellor Industries, what with, uh, Tucker's... being out of commission...
Kay: Jack. Jack.
Jack: Temporarily, as it is.
Kay: Jack, are you trying to corner me about Jabot?
Jack: You have never been one to neglect business considerations, Katherine, even in the worst of circumstances.
Kay: Well, the most important business I'm involved in right now is trying to save my son's life. Jabot is the furthest thing from my mind.
Piper: (Giggles)
(Thunder crashes)
Sharon: Ohh, look at her with you--so content. (Sighs) Isn't it amazing how quickly animals recover?
Piper: I don't think she's forgotten, though, not that quick. Whoops. Fanny. Come on.
Sharon: What, that she lost you for a little while?
Piper: Or, you know, maybe that we lost her.
Sharon: Have you ever lost anyone, Piper?
Piper: Have you, Sheri? Have you ever lost anyone you loved?
Victor: This is a very stupid game you'll both live to regret. And you're not supposed to be on this property.
Adam: This is my house, Dad. Sharon left it to me, and I want Diane here, so... voil.
Diane: There really is more than enough food. If you'd like to stay for dinner, we can discuss this calmly.
Victor: (Chuckles) You're really something, aren't you? And you have no compunction whatever about letting your son see that you're jumping from one bed to the other?
Diane: For your information, my relationship with Adam is-- is strictly--
Adam: Totally fabulous, actually. Fabulous, and, you know, if you, uh, if you don't speak to her respectfully, you probably shouldn't speak to her at all.
Victor: You know, you had one redeeming quality-- your affection for Sharon. Now you already have another woman in her house, in her bed. And you? You don't think he's gonna grow tired of you, as I have? As Jack Abbott has? As Tucker would have? And as my son Nicholas has? Do you honestly think I didn't know from the very beginning that you had sex with him? You slept with him.
Diane: Is that why you married me?
Victor: Mm-hmm. (Chuckles)
Diane: To keep me away from your son?
Adam: Wow. Score one for the sons after all.
Victor: I guess you haven't learned yet, have you? You will never beat me. No one does. Don't unpack, because you won't be staying long.
Adam: Give it your best shot, Pops.
Victor: I'll do that.
Adam: (Sighs)
Diane: (Scoffs) Sanctimonious... I wasn't the one rolling around in the barn like an animal. That was him! And he manipulated me into marrying him.
Adam: Yeah, you poor, naive waif. I mean, he forced you out of having seconds and possibly thirds with "Beefcake" Nicholas. That's, uh, that's a bummer.
Diane: (Sighs) Okay, I thank you for the roof over my head, but this is my life we're talking about, all right? So please, dial back the snark.
Adam: And let you go on and on whining about Victor? Listen, I've been there, Sister. There's only one way, and that's getting even, and your best shot is doing that here with me.
Diane: Well, and that won't be for long, though, according to him.
Adam: This is my house. He can't do anything. All he's gonna do is gnash his teeth every time you walk by and you say, "Howdy, neighbor."
Diane: (Laughs) You're right. I do believe you're right. It is time to get even.
Adam: Atta girl. "Operation head explode."
(Thunder crashes)
Sharon: Let's put you down. Oops. Oh. There.
Piper: Um, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked that, huh? You know, if you lost someone.
Sharon: Well, I asked you first, and friends talk about things, if they're ready. Yes, I... I have lost someone before... more than once... and it helps to talk about it. But it also helps to be here with you and Sam and Fanny.
Piper: I couldn't do it more than once.
Sam: (Sighs)
(Thunder crashes)
Sam: Should I, uh, should I go back and look for my bag some more?
Sharon: No. We're just happy to have Fanny back. Come on, Fanny.
Sam: (Sighs) (Sighs) I spoke to your mama, and she thinks it's, uh, best you spend the night here tonight.
Piper: Really?
Fanny: (Bleats)
Sam: Yeah.
Piper: That's awesome.
Sam: (Sighs) And although she's still a bit soaked from the rain, I still think she might be a bit thirsty, huh?
Piper: I'll get water.
Sharon: (Chuckles) Come on, Fanny.
Sam: Hey.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Sam: (Sighs) Just so you know...
Fanny: (Bleats)
Sam: Piper doesn't just hug on anybody like that.
Sharon: Well, neither do I. I'm really lucky I met her.
Kay: Oh, I'm sorry. Uh, do you need more time?
Sofia: Um, no, I-I need to get to Tucker's place. There's some papers that need signing. I have to stay on top of things.
Kay: What papers?
Sofia: Uh, the music acquisition deal. The lawyers completed the final contracts. All that's needed is your signature or Tucker's. I can bring it right back.
Kay: No, I know that deal is worthless. Uh, they're going to be audited. And if we still want to acquire it afterwards, then, uh, the price will be more to our liking.
Sofia: Well, Tucker approved that deal.
Kay: (Sighs)
Sofia: And if he wants it done, I have to make sure that happens. That's my job.
Kay: There is no deal, not now. Accept it and move on.
Jack: Victor, Abby should be released very soon.
Victor: I'm gonna check in on her and on Katherine. How is Ashley doing?
Jack: Ashley's hanging in there the best she can, given the circumstances. I'm sure Katherine's kind of worn out by now, trying to look out for Tucker's welfare here and his business at the office.
Victor: I think Katherine can handle things. Don't you?
Jack: Tucker McCall in a coma. I guess I don't have to tell you the business news networks are abuzz. I'd like to think Tucker has someone in place who can oversee his empire. Katherine certainly can't keep all those balls in the air from his hospital bed.
Victor: Who's in charge there now? Do you know?
Jack: Hopefully, someone who can protect the various divisions of McCall, Unlimited, particularly the vulnerable companies. They'll be the, uh, low-hanging fruit.
Victor: You mean vulnerable companies like Jabot?
Jack: Jabot's not vulnerable.
Victor: Not yet. How's he doing?
Kay: Well, I may have bent a few rules getting him off the ventilator.
Victor: (Chuckles) I expected no less from you.
Kay: Um, Abby's leaving the hospital soon. I'm sure you must have been worried.
Victor: You bet I was worried. No matter what they have done, when they are hurt...
Kay: (Sighs)
Victor: They're our children, aren't they?
Kay: Mm.
Victor: I'm concerned about her mother, as well.
Kay: I don't believe that Ashley would ever harm Tucker on purpose. I think that's absolutely absurd.
Victor: Oh, I-I completely agree with you.
Kay: (Sighs)
Victor: But Ashley needs support. I hope she gets it. And I have a feeling you need something to eat. Why don't we go have something in the café, okay?
Kay: Oh, I could use it.
Victor: Come on.
(Ventilator hisses)
Ashley: Hi, Honey.
Jack: Oh, you should have seen the smug look on Victor's face. He was like a vulture ready to swoop down and take Jabot.
Traci: And I'm sure he walked in talking about Jabot, and you were minding your own business.
Jack: Traci, this could happen. That man is gonna come into a whole lot of cash after this I.P.O. all he has to do is wink at Katherine. She'll give him Jabot with Tucker laid up like this.
Traci: Tucker is not just laid up.
Jack: If I take over the business, Ashley can focus on Abby and Tucker. Once we're through the worst of this, our father's legacy will still be intact in our hands where it belongs. It's crucial that I talk to Ashley to set it up now.
Traci: Oh, no, no. Don't you go to her with this.
Jack: You expect me to go behind her back?
Traci: I--you know what terrifies me about this whole thing? I bet that if everyone around you was lost that you love, and yet you got Jabot, you might be okay with that.
Jack: Hey.
Traci: Honey, what's the matter? Where's your mom?
Abby: Aunt Traci, I did something awful, and I just told Mom about it, and I just made everything so much worse.
Traci: Oh.
Adam: Where you headed off to, Roomie?
Diane: I told you, it's my night with Kyle. I'm just gonna go pick him up from a friend's.
Adam: Fantastic.
Diane: You really are a soup fan.
Adam: Mm, this is like... a bowlful of love. But in our case, it's like a bowlful of "Strictly platonic."
Diane: Would you care to return the favor? Give me a little gas money, maybe?
Adam: Wow, my father really left you with squat, huh? Sure, why not? I think it's an even trade. A tankful of gas for that look on his face when he saw you here. Why not? For sure. Let's do it.
Diane: Wait, wait. Wh-where are you going?
Adam: Well, I'm gonna go to the gas station with you. You think I'm gonna let you leave here with my credit card? Unh-unh. Let's go.
(Door opens)
Sam: Well, you know what? I think she's gonna be just fine.
Sharon: (Gasps) Ohh, she's little, but she sure is tough.
Piper: That's right.
Sharon: You know what? I think Fanny might be tired, and I'm wiped out, and you, my friend, need to get some sleep.
Piper: Well, here in the barn with y-you and Fanny?
Sharon: Well, that's a great idea.
Piper: You, too, Sam.
Sharon: Oh, well, I'm-- I don't know if-- I don't think he...
Piper: But, you know, there might be more thunder, and I don't care, but Fanny might.
Sam: Uh, well, maybe just until you-- I-I mean, Fanny falls asleep.
Sharon: All right, uh, go get some blankets in my room.
Piper: Okay.
Sam: Kid sure knows how to get what she wants, huh?
Sharon: Yeah.
Sam: Do you mind?
Sharon: Oh, no, not at all. I like having you around.
Abby: (Breathing rapidly)
Traci: It is all right. Just take a breath.
Jack: Why don't I go get a nurse, okay?
Abby: No, it's just-- I just--I just need to say it, okay? I need you guys to hear this. Tucker wasn't going to meet Diane. I tricked them both into going to the cabin. I wanted Mom to catch them together. I wanted her to back out of the wedding. Tucker thought he was going to his bachelor party. Oh, it's... Mom didn't even know until I just told her, and if I hadn't done this, they would be married by now, and now Mom is praying that he makes it through, and I just--I was trying to protect her. I was trying to protect her.
Victor: What's the matter, Sweetheart? Why are you crying?
Abby: (Cries) Oh, Dad, I--
Jack: Uh, she's just a little overtired, overstressed. It's all been too much.
Victor: Come here, my love.
Jack: (Sighs)
(Ventilator hisses)
Ashley: I am so, so sorry. I thought Abby was finished trying to break us up. I didn't know that she was drunk when we got in the car. It never should have gotten as far as it did. But, Tucker, she's my child. I can't let her go to jail. You know that. You're my love. (Sighs) And you're wonderful, and you're generous. I'm sorry I doubted you, even for a second. I hope you forgive me. And I hope you know that I've... if I could only go back and do it differently, I would.
(Door rattles)
Ashley: (Gasps) (Sniffles) (Sighs) Hi, Katherine. I was just telling him how much I love him. (Sighs) Okay.
Kay: (Sighs) Oh, Tucker, I'm sure people have held my hand... spoken to me while I was unconscious, but I... I didn't hear a thing, feel a touch. But that didn't mean that I didn't feel it when I was in that dark otherworldly place. Maybe...maybe we have all said too much while we're sitting here with you. That's a possibility. Maybe... maybe you just weren't ready to hear what we-- we had to say.
(Door opens)
Sofia: (Clears throat) Mrs. Chancellor?
Kay: Oh, my... (Stammers) What is he doing here? You know, if you're here to shove Tucker's living will in my face and demand that I take him off of this ventilator--
Sofia: No. He's here because he knows about an addendum to Tucker's will.
Nelson: I'm sorry to intrude, but there are some additional provisions you should know about.
Victor: Why don't you come back to the ranch with me? Okay? You have your own room back, and Segundo will keep you company.
Abby: I should probably stay with Mom. But give Segundo my love, okay?
Victor: Okay. (Sighs) I will see you tomorrow, all right? I'm gonna go check in on Katherine.
Abby: I didn't know she cared about Tucker.
Victor: Of course she does. She's Tucker's mother.
Victor: Okay? You take care.
Abby: Okay.
Abby: (Sighs)
(Cell phone rings)
Victor: Yeah. It has been done? Good. Thank you.
Diane: I don't understand the problem.
Adam: Frank, it's me. We just went to pick up Kyle, you know, Diane's kid? But he's sleeping at a friend's house.
Frank: I'm sorry. I got my orders.
Diane: Orders? What?
Adam: What's this?
Diane: Are--are you seriously not gonna let us in?
Adam: So apparently, I may have the deed to the house, but the surrounding property is my father's.
Diane: What does that mean?
Adam: Oh, that just means that I'd have to drop from an airplane if I wanted to get to my house, because he owns the driveway.
Diane: (Scoffs)
Sharon: (Quietly) Thank you.
Sam: (Quietly) Here you go. (Sighs)
Sharon: There's nothing more peaceful than a sleeping child.
Sam: You really have that mother thing down, you know it?
Sharon: Some kids just make it easy.
Sofia: Obviously, Tucker's affairs are complicated, but I wasn't expecting an addendum.
Victor: Uh, I'll be back.
Kay: Oh, Victor, Victor, no, no, Darling, I-- please, I'd like you to stay.
Victor: Okay.
Nelson: Well, I know you're all comfortable with legalese, but I'll speak plainly, I-if you don't mind. In this addendum, Tucker gives full power over his business and his personal affairs to you, Katherine Chancellor, his biological mother. And in a separate paragraph, he designates $20 million remain in reserve in the event the son Tucker searched for but never found comes forward.
Sofia: What?
Kay: Tucker has a son?
Victor: I'll be damned.

Jack: Listen, before we go, there's something you and I need to talk about. The timing of it is, uh, kind of awkward, but it's pretty critical that we talk now.
Ashley: What?
Jack: Let me take something off your plate. If I run Jabot, I can protect this new product line you've worked so hard on, and we have no idea who Katherine's gonna sell the company to with Tucker in this condition.
Ashley: I don't even know if I should laugh or slap you.
(Footsteps approach)
Traci: Jack, what has gotten into you?
Mauro: Excuse me, Ms. Abbott, you're under arrest for attempted murder.
Jack: What?!
Abby: Mom, no.
Traci: Oh, this has to be a mistake.
Mauro: You have the right to remain silent.
Jack: W-wait.
Mauro: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer, and to have him present with you while you're being questioned.
