Ashley: Hi.

Tucker: Hi. Why are we "Nightcapping"?

Ashley: Ohh... to decompress. I went a couple rounds with Abby after you left. Mm. So what did Jack say?

Tucker: What makes you think I went to see him?

Ashley: Because I know you.

Tucker: And love me anyway?

Ashley: Immensely.

Tucker: Well... (Sighs) I went to see Jack, because now that he owns Abby's stock, I proposed that we partner up. Now what do you think your brother said to that?

Ashley: He'll get back to you later.

Tucker: I should have saved myself a trip...

Ashley: Mm.

Tucker: And run all this by you first.

Ashley: (Sighs) What? What's that for?

Tucker: Because you're sad. Abby?

Ashley: Yeah.

Tucker: Are you really surprised this is all coming to a head?

Ashley: She only sold those shares because you made her an offer.

Tucker: A very profitable offer.

Ashley: (Sighs) The way she just took that bill of sale and just waved it in your face. I mean, it was like a personal attack.

Tucker: Only if I take it personally.

Ashley: She said she hated you. She's not coming to our wedding.

Tucker: I'm sorry to hear that.

Ashley: That's all you have to say?

Tucker: Well... (Sighs) What else can we do but let this tantrum run its course?

Ashley: Tantrum?

Tucker: She exacted her revenge. She had her say. Now once she sees we won't be bullied into changing our plans, she'll get over it.

Ashley: Honey, I can't afford to wait her out. We're getting married next week. I want my daughter at our wedding.

Abby: Thanks. Keep 'em comin'. (Scoffs) Oh, it's you.

Deacon: Sorry, but those drinks don't make themselves.

Abby: Oh, I'm sorry. Where did the other not-skeazy bartender go?

Deacon: "Skeazy." Um, his shift's over. Mine just started. Where's your boyfriend?

Abby: (Sighs) Daniel's not here...

Deacon: Mm.

Abby: Even though I need him, and I'm lonely, and I'm sad, and... I'm sorry. Can you just do your job? You do your job. You make the cocktails, and maybe I'll cough up the 15%.

Deacon: I'll look forward to that. Thank you.

Abby: Cheers.

Lily: Daniel, you didn't have to come out here.

Daniel: Well, someone's gotta be lookin' out for you, and I guess it's me, since you're usin' me to cover up your tracks.

Lily: Cover up-- what--what are you talking about?

Daniel: Why'd you let Devon think that I-I-I sent you flowers?

Lily: I didn't tell-- what are you doing here?

Daniel: Did you follow me here?

Devon: Listen, I just wanted to know what was really goin' on with you two.

Lily: Okay, nothing is going on.

Daniel: Mm.

Devon: Right, you say that, and he says that, yet here you guys are. You're havin' some planned private meeting in front of your husband's grave, which is kind of weird. I mean, come on. I know something is up. I don't know why you guys just won't stop lying and tell me what it is.

Diane: Well, these last few days have been very upsetting, and typically, you would bury yourself in business.

Victor: And you don't like that, do you?

Diane: I'm just offering you an alternative. My work for the day is done. Kyle's at a friend's, and since you and I have rarely had even a single moment alone together...

Victor: If you plan to disrobe...

Diane: Mm.

Victor: I need to remind you that we still have staff in the house.

Diane: Well, maybe you should tell the staff to go on home.

Victor: What? Before dinner?

Diane: Yeah.

Victor: Mm.

Diane: We'll have a quiet meal, just the two of us.

Victor: Oh, yeah?

Diane: No business calls, no e-mails.

Victor: Mm.

Diane: And we could talk.

Victor: We don't do enough of that, do we?

Diane: Not yet, but we are still newlyweds.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Diane: And this marriage can be whatever we-- we choose it to be.

Victor: Mm-hmm. (Sighs) Mm-hmm.

Diane: Also, did I mention that I'll be, um, wearing very little during this dinner and chat?

Victor: Oh.

Diane: Mm-hmm.

Victor: Now that sounds good. That sounds very good.

(Doorbell rings)

Diane: Uh, I'll get rid of whoever that is.

Victor: Please do.

Jack: Good evening, Diane. Is the old man at home?

Diane: Jack, would you go away?

Jack: This won't take long.

Victor: You can't be serious. Wouldn't it be easier to pick up the phone and deliver whatever taunt or rant you have in mind?

Jack: Introductions should always be made in person, don't you think?

Victor: What the hell does that mean?

Jack: I'm here to introduce myself. You're looking at your newest stockholder. I'm sure you're wondering how this happened.

Victor: You made a shifty deal with some unsavory character. Is that it?

Jack: Actually, the "Unsavory character" is your daughter Abby.

Diane: Abby sold you her shares?

Jack: Well, the shares that Brad gave her, yeah.

Victor: You had the audacity to approach my daughter and talk her into selling some of her inheritance to you?

Jack: My niece came to me with a deal all worked out.

Diane: Why do I find this hard to believe?

Jack: Abby's a very savvy businesswoman stands to make, uh, quite a profit here. I'm paying much more than the projected market value, but it's worth every penny.

Victor: So you bought some Newman shares. After the I.P.O., there'll be a lot of people who'll have done that. What exactly do you think you bought?

Jack: Say... in how you run your company.

Victor: (Chuckles) Jack Abbott, you are delusional, aren't you? I've got everything I want-- Newman Enterprises in name and in deed. You, however, Jack, don't even have permission to set foot in the door of the company you claim to be your legacy.

Jack: All things in good time.

Victor: And how much time do you think you're gonna waste?

Jack: Well, I'll leave you two to, uh, whatever. But I'll stop by from time to time to give you some suggestions on how we might better run Newman Enterprises.

Victor: (Laughs) If I were you, I wouldn't waste my gas. You can put whatever piddly little quotes you have onto my contact board on my web site, okay? Along with all the other little shareholders. Show yourself out, Jack.

Tucker: It sounds like you're thinking about postponing our wedding because of Abby.

Ashley: Absolutely not. I'm not gonna let her hold our marriage hostage. I love her, but she's a grown woman. I'm planning on spending the rest of my life with you.

Tucker: But you still feel guilty.

Ashley: I do, and I know I shouldn't, but I do.

Tucker: No, you shouldn't. Your daughter doesn't have to like me.

Ashley: I don't want her to hate you. Now I'm kicking myself. I should have dealt with this much sooner. I knew she wasn't feeling all warm and fuzzy towards you, but I had no idea it had become this horrible animosity. God.

Tucker: Listen. I will do whatever I have to to make this right.

Ashley: Tucker, there's nothing you can do. There is nothing you can do. (Scoffs)

Tucker: Come on. What?

Ashley: No. You know, she was angry, but she was also sad. And I know she's a grown woman, but she's always gonna be my little girl. I just wish there was some way I could help her work through these feelings.

Abby: I did this thing that was completely justified and totally right.

Deacon: Okay, now was this before or after you started drinking?

Abby: I wasn't drunk.

Deacon: Okay, that means after. So when did things start to tank?

Abby: (Slurps drink) That would be right about the time when I told my mom that the guy she's gonna marry is a total tool.

Deacon: (Laughs) Did...

Abby: (Laughs)

Deacon: Did, uh, did you mean that?

Abby: Oh, I meant it.

Deacon: Ahh.

Abby: I really hate him.

Deacon: And so now what's happening is the guilt's kicking in, right?

Abby: Yeah, like you wouldn't believe.

Deacon: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Abby: Anyway, I called my boyfriend just to vent...

Deacon: Uh-huh.

Abby: And, uh--

Deacon: And, uh, let me guess, it went right to voice mail.

Abby: How did you know that?

Deacon: It's not exactly my first rodeo. Listen, he'll get the message. He'll call you back. Don't worry.

Abby: Yeah. Daniel is a great guy.

Deacon: Uh-huh.

Abby: He is a really, really, really, really great guy.

Deacon: Really?

Abby: But you want to know whose call he always takes?

Deacon: (Sighs)

Abby: His ex.'s. She calls. He comes runnin' every time. Can you give me another one of these?

Deacon: Yeah, you know what? Um, I tell you, why don't you take a little breather? See, these--big. You--tiny.

Abby: You are a terrible bartender.

Deacon: I know, and I'm also a "Skeazoid" human being. I got it. Right. Let me ask you something, what--what exactly are you hoping to get from all these Moscow mules?

Abby: Is there some Latin thing that's, like, you find truth in the glass or the bottom of the glass or something?

Deacon: "In vino veritas." And you want to know something? It's bull. Take it from somebody who's seen the bottom of a lot of cocktail glasses. The truth ain't in there.

Abby: Then where is it?

Deacon: You want answers? You don't get drunk. You get brave. You confront your problems head-on.

Devon: You guys were hanging all over each other.

Lily: We were just hugging. What are you talking about?

Daniel: Yeah, friends do-- friends. We were hugging.

Lily: Yes.

Devon: Uh-huh, come on. Explain the flowers then you sent her asking her to meet you here.

Daniel: I didn't... (Scoffs)

Lily: Wha--

Devon: I mean, don't you think she's been through enough with her husband dying without being played by you, too?

Lily: Okay, Devon, you are ridiculous, okay? We were talking about Cane. He was being supportive by giving me a hug.

Daniel: Seriously, you-- you have nothing to worry about.

Devon: Okay, you sure about that?

Daniel: Yeah.

(Cell phone rings)

Lily: Hello?

Abby: Lily, hey. Hey. I, um, I need to talk to you. I really need to talk to you. Is, um, you think you could meet me at Gloworm, like, right now?

Lily: Uh, yes, I'll-- I'll--I'll be right there. Okay, that was Abby, and she sounded off.

Devon: Abby. Well, its sounds like your girlfriend thinks something's up, too.

Abby: I am totally going to face my problem.

Diane: I-I'm very sorry to hear about Abby. She was certainly well compensated after the lawsuit, and now this-- to her own father.

Victor: (Sighs) I don't want to discuss it, okay?

Diane: We talk about business. (Clears throat) We talk about sex.

Victor: And Kyle.

Diane: And Kyle, my son.

Victor: Yes.

Diane: When it comes to your children, it's seems like most things are off-limits.

Victor: (Sighs)

Diane: Shouldn't we be able to talk about things like this?

Victor: I think the timing and topic of marital discussions should be amenable to both parties. Don't you think?

Diane: Right. All right, then. So we'll, um, proceed with the evening as planned then. I'll make sure we have everything for a quiet dinner, and I'll send the staff home, and I'll change into something really inappropriate.

Victor: (Sighs heavily) (Sighs) I'm not in the mood. I'm sorry.

Diane: I see.

Victor: (Sighs)

Diane: I'll go out then.

Victor: All right.

Diane: I'll see a movie or get a massage or something. I don't know.

Victor: (Sighs)

Diane: I'll see you later tonight.

Victor: Okay. Have a good time.

(Front door closes)

Jack: Hello, Nikki. Lovely evening, isn't it?

Nikki: Oh, well, aren't you chipper?

Jack: Well, for good reason. Abby just sold me all of her Newman stock.

Nikki: Why would she do that?

Jack: Because I'm her uncle, and she loves me, because the stock is of no particular consequence to her.

Nikki: Oh, my God, did she have no idea what that would do to Victor?

Jack: Well, I think this had more to do with, uh, Tucker.

Nikki: Tucker? Okay, wait. What--what does he have to do with this?

Jack: He'd been pushing Abby to sell to him. She'd had enough of it. She came to me.

Nikki: So how much time will pass by before you rub this in Victor's face?

Jack: Actually, I just came from the ranch.

Nikki: (Scoffs) You know, you are sick.

Jack: I didn't do anything Victor wouldn't have done to me.

Nikki: That part about Tucker-- did you happen to explain that to him?

Jack: Now why would I do that?

Nikki: Oh, so you just led him to believe that Abby set out to betray him, right? I mean, its one thing for you to just perpetuate this feud you've had with him for so many years, but why would you want him to think less of his daughter?

Jack: What "The Mustache" thinks is his problem. Excuse me. I have business I have to deal with. Good night. Tucker, I'm glad I ran into you.

Tucker: Oh.

Jack: I've made some decisions.

Ashley: I don't want to do this right now, Jack.

Jack: I won't take long. I promise.

Ashley: Really.

Tucker: I-I thought you needed a little time before you, uh...

Jack: Well, truthfully, uh, making you wait was some one-upmanship.

Ashley: I told you so.

Jack: But now I'm eager to talk some real business.

Tucker: Well, I'm listenin'.

Jack: I will admit, I relish the idea of owning a piece of Newman Enterprises. You know, walking the halls, having Victor know that I'm part of it.

Tucker: That's understandable. So you don't want to sell.

Jack: I've come up with a price that will turn the tide.

Tucker: Name it.

Jack: All my Newman stock for Jabot.

Deacon: What do you say you try a perennial favorite? The year--current. The distillery-- Genoa City reservoir. We like to call it "Water." What do you say? Have a little. You'll start to see things a little more clearly.

Abby: No, I am already. I already am.

Deacon: Was it something I said?

Abby: Even a skeazy bartender can be right once in his entire lifetime. (Whispers) One time. Just one time.

Deacon: One time. Well, that's good to know. I tell you what, I'm gonna leave this with you, and I'll come back and check up on you a little later, okay?

Lily: Abby? Hey.

Abby: Lily.

Lily: Yeah, hi.

Abby: Lily, why, you just rushed right over here. You just--wow. Just--wow.

Lily: Yeah, I-it sounded important. Are you okay?

Abby: Yeah, I am okay.

Lily: Oh.

Abby: I am okay. I'm--I'm strong...

Lily: Mm-hmm.

Abby: And I'm brave, and I am--I'm--I, uh--

Lily: Uh, let's--let's-- let's sit down.

Abby: Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Fine.

Lily: Okay.

Abby: I have to face my problems, and that is what I'm gonna do. That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna face my--my problems. That's what--that's--

Lily: Okay, so--

Abby: That's what I'd like to--Daniel, hey! Hey. Hey. You--you got my message. You got my message. Hey.

Daniel: Yeah, I got your message just now.

Lily: Hey.

Daniel: Baby, why do you want to see, uh, Lily, too?

Abby: How'd you know that I wanted to see Lil-- 'Cause you two were together. You were--you two-- you two were together. She is the reason that you walked out and you left me with "Tucker the tool"?

Daniel: I-I didn't walk out-- Baby, I thought you wanted to talk to him.

Abby: (Scoffs) I'm sorry. Do I ever want to hear anything that "Tucker McCool" has to say? I'm sorry. Did you-- you didn't answer my question. You know, were you with Lily? Were you with her?

Daniel: Y-yes. Yes, I was with her. We were talking about Cane. It's not a big deal. As soon as you called her, I figured I should come over here, too.

Devon: Sounds like damage control.

Abby: What is he talking about? What does that mean?

Lily: Devon, stop. No. Nothing. It doesn't mean anything.

Daniel: Lily said when you were on the phone, you sounded a little strange. A-are you okay? Have you been drinking a little?

Abby: I have been a bit. I have been, and more. Yeah.

Daniel: Okay. Okay.

Abby: But you know what? I'm fine. I'm fine, and I'm strong, and actually, I don't have anything to say to you. I have nothing to say to you.

Daniel: I'm sorry, are you mad at me for something?

Abby: It's Lily. I-I need to talk to Lily, because we--we have something that we have to work out.

Daniel: You know, I don't--I don't think this is such a good idea.

Abby: Why would talking be a bad idea? How could that be a bad idea? (Chuckles)

Daniel: Well, um, you're-- you're not exactly--

Abby: I'm not exactly what?

Lily: No, you know what? It's fine, 'cause I want to get some things straightened out with Abby, so it's fine. We can talk. Don't worry.

Daniel: Okay, fine.

Abby: Right. Oh, good. Oh, yeah, you know what? When I want to talk? Bad idea. Lily--she wants to talk? It's a great idea. Yeah.

Daniel: Abby, I'm just trying to--I'm trying to make this right with us and--

Lily: Okay, y-- let's go sit over here.

Abby: Okay, that's good.

Lily: Yeah, we'll just talk.

Abby: Yep. Okay.

Lily: So it's fine.

Abby: Hey, excuse me. Can I get, uh, a Moscow mule? Uh, do you know what you want?

Lily: No, I'm good. Thank you.

Abby: Okay. Thank you. Thanks.

Devon: Dude, what--what you're doin' is so messed up-- playin' two women like this.

Daniel: What are you talking about, Man? I'm not playing anybody. You have no clue what's goin' on.

Devon: I think I have a pretty good idea of what's going on, and it looks like Abby does, too.

Daniel: No, you know what? Both of you are wrong.

Devon: Okay.

Lily: You know, last time we saw each other, you didn't really feel like talking to me.

Abby: No, no, 'cause-- you know why? 'Cause I wasn't being brave, and I wasn't facing my problem head-on.

Lily: Oh, I'm--I'm sorry. So I'm a problem?

Abby: Yeah. Sorry. I'm sorry. Excuse me. Thank you. Thank you.

Lily: You know, maybe, um, you should s-- slow down. Okay. (Chuckles)

Abby: I'm gonna tell you what the problem is, okay?

Lily: Mm.

Abby: I'm gonna tell you right now. You are amazing.

Lily: What? (Chuckles)

Abby: You are like-- you're like this really, really incredible person. You have had all these horrible things happen to you, and do you let it get to you? No, you don't. You don't. But if--if any of that stuff happened to me--any of it-- cancer, if my husband was murdered, I'd be broccoli.

Lily: Okay, you're giving me way too much credit.

Abby: But not even, like, green organic, crisp broccoli. I'd be, like, yellow wilted, sallow, limp broccoli.

Lily: No, no, Abby. Abby, that--that is what I did.

Abby: No, see, you're not broccoli. You are not broccoli.

Lily: Yes, listen to me, okay? Ever since Cane died, I have been walking around like I'm, like, in a trance or something. And--and things happen, and I react, I guess, but inside, I'm just-- I'm waiting to--to wake up and be me again.

Abby: Just listen to what you're saying. Listen to what you're saying. You--you're being humble. You're being humble to make me feel better.

Lily: No.

Abby: Yes, you're amazing! You're amazing. That is you.

Lily: Listen, I'm-- I'm not trying to be humble.

Abby: Even when you're not all put together, you are this amazing mom, and you are an amazing daughter, and you're an amazing sister, and you're an amazing friend, and you--you have it all together.

Lily: No.

Abby: You're strong. You've got it all together, and I all do not at all.

Lily: Okay, you are being way too hard on yourse--

Abby: Okay, I can't compete with you. I can't compete with you. So if you want Daniel, you're just gonna have to tell me that right now.

Nikki: Hi. How are you?

Victor: I'm enjoying the pleasure of my own company.

Nikki: Oh, Diane's not here? May I come in?

Victor: Okay.

Nikki: I just saw Jack. (Sighs)

Victor: Did you? I'm sure he was eager to tell you the good news.

Nikki: That Abby sold him her shares? Yes, he was.

Victor: Why'd you come all the way out here to tell me that?

Nikki: Victor, I'm worried about you. I'm worried about where this whole thing could lead.

Tucker: What makes you think I would ever give up Jabot?

Jack: Oh, I could give you several reasons, not the least of which is Ashley.

Ashley: What do I have to do with this?

Jack: Are you kidding me? I'm trying to do a deal here. This man's about to marry you. Did you honestly think I would leave you out of it?

Tucker: He's got a point there.

Jack: While Ashley has been perfectly happy working with you, she would be absolutely ecstatic if Jabot were back in the Abbott family. Am I right?

Ashley: I really don't want to be having this conversation right now, Jack.

Tucker: Listen, I'll wrap this up quick. Jack, I wanted leverage at Newman so that I could eventually own Beauty of Nature so that I could merge it with Jabot. Now, obviously, if I don't have Jabot, I lose all chance of having any kind of a cosmetics conglomerate. Now why would I make this deal?

Jack: Because then you would own all of McCall, Unlimited, almost half of Chancellor Industries, and a sizeable chunk of Newman Enterprises, a chunk that will only get larger when the company goes public and you get your hands on more shares.

Tucker: I'll have to pass.

Jack: For now. You might feel differently next week.

Ashley: Yeah, there's a lot going on next week.

Jack: Like what? Oh, right, the wedding.

Ashley: Yeah.

Tucker: (Laughs)

Ashley: The wedding. Now that you've finished talking business with my brother, I'd like to do a little talking with him, as well, if you don't mind, alone.

Tucker: He's all yours, Darlin'. I have to make a call.

Jack: You don't seem too happy with me.

Ashley: Really? I just want to kind of... smack you.

Jack: Why? Why? Because I interrupted a romantic evening for a little bit of business conversation?

Ashley: You know that's not it.

Jack: I'm sorry, okay? Look, what if I swear to you that I would not allow any dealings with Tucker to get in the way of your wedding?

Ashley: Well, I would tell you that I didn't believe you.

Jack: I told you I would walk you down the aisle...

Ashley: Mm-hmm.

Jack: And I am not about to break that promise.

Ashley: Well, I don't have any doubt that you're gonna be there for me, Jack, but unfortunately, the same can't be said for my daughter.

Jack: Abby's not coming to the wed--

Ashley: No.

Jack: Because of the shares she sold me.

Ashley: Mm-hmm, and when she did that, she had to race right over here and show Tucker and me what she'd done. She was just brandishing that bill of sales like a weapon.

Jack: At Tucker.

Ashley: Mm-hmm.

Jack: Gee, I'm sorry I didn't see that.

Ashley: You know what? It's not funny. You know, I knew that she wasn't thrilled about my relationship with him, but she never said she wasn't coming to the wedding, not until tonight.

Jack: Ash, she's a stubborn girl. She always has been. I'm sorry. I know how much it means to you to--

Ashley: I need you do to more than be sorry.

Jack: Like what?

Ashley: Help me. She won't listen to me.

Jack: What, you want me to talk to her?

Ashley: Yes, I do.

Jack: No!

Ashley: She'll listen to you, Jackie.

Jack: Don't be so sure.

Ashley: What I need you to do is tell her that even though you have issues with Tucker, you're still gonna be there for me.

Jack: Why do I have to be the mediator?

Ashley: Because you're all I've got, okay? You're it. So tell her that you're gonna walk me down the aisle, and that you're putting all these issues aside because it's important for our family to stand together.

Jack: Yeah, that'll certainly seal the deal.

Ashley: Convince her that even though families go through troubles, they always work through them. Would you please do that for me?

Jack: I will be there for you, I promise. I'll talk to her.

Ashley: Thank you.

Devon: You know, they actually don't look mad at each other, although they might be pretty mad at you after they compare notes.

Daniel: I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Lily: Abby, listen to me. You don't have to give Daniel up. I mean, he doesn't want me, and I don't want him. It's not like that at--

Abby: Then why are you guys always together? Why are you always to-- tonight, you were, like, you were with him tonight.

Lily: No, it's because-- listen, ever since Cane died, Daniel has just been--

Abby: What? What?

Lily: (Stammers) I mean, listen, we're really close, you know, but it's not romantic. I promise you that. It is not.

Abby: (Scoffs) It doesn't matter. He told you his big secret... (Mouthing words) and you are the only person that he told. That is so much bigger than sex.

Daniel: Okay. Okay, hey. I think that we've talked enough here.

Lily: Abby, I am really, really sorry, okay? I never meant to upset you.

Abby: It's not your fault. It is not your fault that Daniel chose you.

Daniel: Oh, okay. You know what? I got this from here. I got it.

Lily: Okay.

Daniel: Abby, I did not choose Lily.

Abby: (Voice breaking) Yes, you did. (Sobs) Yes, you did. You did. You did. And... you did in every way that counts, you did.

Daniel: Baby. Baby.

Nikki: I know this must have come as a terrible shock to you.

Victor: (Sighs) Oh, yeah? My daughter selling out to the man I loathe more than anything. Yeah. You could say that.

Nikki: You would look at it that way.

Victor: How else do you suggest I look at it?

Nikki: What Abby did had nothing to do with you. It was about Tucker.

Victor: Says who?

Nikki: I talked to Jack.

Victor: And?

Nikki: When she sold those shares, it had nothing to do with you. She was trying to send Tucker a message.

Victor: She betrayed me, all right?!

Nikki: Victor, she's young. She's impulsive. She didn't think about the ramifications.

Victor: That spoiled little brat betrayed me. She should damn well be aware the consequence of-- that her actions have!

Nikki: Why do you hold everybody up to your impossible standards?

Victor: Don't you come here and criticize me for wanting my children to-- to act reasonably with me.

Nikki: I'm not criticizing you. It's just the only way that I can get you to listen to me. You shut down. You push everybody out the minute people that you love do something imperfect in your opinion.

Victor: What do you want? What do you want?

Nikki: Victor, I just want you to think about this. I'm very worried. I know that you've gotta be hurting. I mean, this-- this had to have dredged up all of the feelings that you had when the kids filed the lawsuit. And I know that this could very well be the next round in the Jack/Victor vendetta. Victor--

Victor: What do you want? What do you want?

Nikki: I want you to stop, okay? Before you start wielding your sword and disinheriting your child, I just want you to stop and think and listen to me.

Victor: (Sighs) Say what you have to say.

Nikki: Our family was completely broken after the lawsuit.

Victor: (Sighs)

Nikki: But then we heard the horrible news about Sharon, and we all dropped our differences and gathered together as one.

Victor: What does that have to do with anything?

Nikki: I'm getting to that. We all were a family. We cared about each other. You called me immediately. You called Victoria. Nicholas and Noah got involved in the search. So did Abby.

Victor: So what? What? What are you saying?

Nikki: So we behaved and functioned as a loving family. I-I think we should treat each other that way every day, don't you?

Victor: (Sighs) Yes, I do.

Nikki: Are you willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish that?

Victor: (Sighs) You mean to forgive Abby?

Nikki: I mean to accept that the lawsuit is over, to accept that Jack has the stock, and the I.P.O. is happening. Victor, I know your instinct is always to fight, to stay on top. But you have everything. You have everything that's important. Shouldn't that be enough?

Victor: (Sighs)

Abby: Hey, it's Abby. Leave an interesting message, or I won't call you back.

Jack: Hey, Kiddo. It's Uncle Jack. It was a pleasure doin' business with you earlier, but you and I need to talk about something. I hope that's "Interesting enough." Call me.

Devon: Lily, I think we should go, because it's not a good idea to be in the middle of this.

Lily: I'm already in the middle of it. Because of a misunderstanding, Abby and Daniel are hurting, and I'm gonna stay here in case they need my help. (Sighs)

Daniel: Abby, you're the only one that I want to be with. I mean, don't you get that?

Abby: (Stammers) I hear you saying that. I hear you saying that, but do you mean it?

Daniel: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I me-- can we just go back to your place, and we could talk all about this--

Abby: What do you think I'm gonna do? What, you think I'm gonna spill your big secret because I've had a few drinks? I would never do something like that.

Daniel: Well, you are getting pretty damn close.

Abby: And you're worried because you don't trust me. You don't trust me the way you trust Lily, do you?

Daniel: Okay, you know what? Let's go. Let's get outta here. Let's go home. Let's--come on.

Abby: No, no, no, don't touch me. No!

Deacon: You, Guys, I'm sorry. You're gonna have to take this outside.

Daniel: Can you--no, you don't need to come over here and tell us what to do. We're on our way out of here. Don't worry about it.

Abby: We are not. We are not.

Deacon: Listen to me. It's obvious you don't have this under control.

Daniel: Back off, Deacon!

Abby: Shut up!

Ashley: So there's some good news, you know? I got Jack to agree. He's gonna talk to Abby and convince her to come to our wedding, which is good.

Tucker: Well, I wish I could have done that for you-- that there was something I could have said or done to get Abby to like me.

Ashley: Are you admitting that some things are even impossible for you?

Tucker: I think I'm, uh, I'm just telling you I love you.

Ashley: Oh. I love you, too.

Abby: Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to, uh...

Daniel: (Clears throat)

Abby: Sincerely apologize on--on behalf of these two obnoxious cavemen. Please, please do not allow it to ruin your evening, 'cause I know-- I know that I won't, and I'm... I don't feel so great.

Daniel: Come on. I'll take care of you.

Abby: Nope, nope, nope. Nope, nope, nope, nope.

Deacon: Listen, why don't you--why don't you do what your boyfriend tells you and just let him take you home?

Abby: He is not my boyfriend. He is not my boyfriend.

Daniel: Abby, can we please not do this here?

Abby: Look, I don't want to lose you, but I already have, okay? You don't want to be on my show. You don't want to be with me. You don't--I am over it. Okay, I'm over--I'm so-- I'm so over it! I am so over it.

Devon: Okay, all right. Hey, you know what, Daniel?

Abby: Thank you.

Devon: You're welcome. I'll take her home.

Daniel: Good idea.

Abby: Thank you.

Devon: Let's...

Victor: (Sighs) (Sighs) I appreciate you coming by and saying what you had to say. (Sighs) I think you should probably go.

Nikki: Yeah, I probably should.

(Door opens)

(Door closes)

Victor: (Sighs)

Jack: Gee, by all means, come in.

Diane: How are things between you and Phyllis these days?

Jack: Why do you ask?

Diane: Answer the question, Jack. Are you on, or are you off?

Jack: We're off. What, did Victor send you over here?

Diane: As if Victor would ever need me to fight his battles.

Jack: Then what are you doing here?

Diane: I'm waging a war of my own. I'm gonna give you a chance to really give it to Victor.

Jack: How so?

Diane: By giving it to me.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Kevin: Jana, I wasn't tricking you, all right?

Jana: Go, go, go.

Kevin: I wasn't tricking you!

Chloe: I was just trying to protect my daughter. I never thought that a custody suit would get flagged by the cops.

Phyllis: Okay, if I agree to this, then I have to be assured of certain things.
