Chloe: Hi, Paul. I'm so thankful that you're trying to help us find Kevin.

Paul: Yeah, I'll do what I can.

Chance: Were you able to get anything else from Delia about what happened?

Chloe: No, she is wiped out. I mean, she fell asleep before I even got a chance to lay her down.

Heather: Unfortunately, we--we couldn't get anything from Delia about where Jana was keeping her and Lucy before taking her to the church.

Chance: Yeah, we tried to bring up Kevin's apartment, the coffee shop, Tiny Tots...

Kay: Oh, that reminds me, um, I gave, uh, Murphy, um, your key to Kevin's place. Uh, he just wanted to make sure that the police didn't overlook anything. You know, like a note or-- or some clue where they might have gone.

Lauren: Hi, Honey.

Michael: Where's Jill?

Lauren: Ooh, she made herself scarce when she found out that Gloria was coming over.

Michael: Here?

Lauren: Yeah, I told her to.

(Knock on door)

Lauren: It's okay.

Michael: I'll get it.

Michael: Hey.

Gloria: Have you heard anything?

Michael: Not yet.

Gloria: I know. I know. The idea that Kevin is with another serial psycho-- it is just too much, Michael. I cannot take this again.

Michael: O-okay. All right, listen to me. There's good news. Paul is taking over the search. Hmm?

Jeff: You see? They-- they're taking it seriously.

Gloria: Yeah, now they are. But nobody believed me when I said and Chloe said-- we warned you all that Jana was dangerous. And Billy said, "Oh, we were all just overreacting." And now he's nearly lost his two babies.

Kay: Uh, Gloria--

Gloria: Chloe, I am sorry. But thank God that you have your Delia back. And our Kevin is the one who helped save those babies.

Kay: I know.

Gloria: I know it.

Chloe: Yeah, but now Kevin's in danger.

Gloria: Yeah, he's with that lunatic, and we all know what she's capable of.

Kay: (Scoffs)

Gloria: What if she's already killed him, huh? Huh?

Lauren: Gloria. Gloria.

Kay: Now--now don't do this to yourself.

Michael: Look, Katherine's right. You can't think the worst.

Kevin: (Tossing basketball against wall) (Sighs) You're fine. You can breathe. Everything is gonna be all right.

(Basketball continues bouncing)

Jana: Will you please stop making that racket? You're giving me a headache.

Kevin: Oh, come on, Jana! You've had some time to cool off. You have got to realize this is not one of the best ideas you've ever had. Besides, how is it gonna look when they find us here like this?

Jana: They're not going to find us.

Kevin: No, no, how would they? I mean, both of our cars are parked on a busy street, but you're probably right. Jana? Look, I know we can work something out. I don't want you getting in trouble.

Jana: Well, that's very sweet of you to be concerned, but you don't need to worry, because I'm a lot more clever than you give me credit for.

(Basketball resumes bouncing)

Kevin: (Sighs)

Victoria: You're so trusting. You're so sure that your mama's gonna protect you. (Sighs) I meant it when I promised you that. I'm gonna keep that promise. The first step is to get Daniel to sign over his rights, 'cause that little piece of paper's gonna be the strongest weapon that we have.

Phyllis: Poor Victoria. I know how she feels.

Billy: Yeah, well, this day has shaved years off our lives.

Phyllis: That's why I came to offer my support.

Daniel: That's what I said to Billy, you know, anything that we can do...

Billy: All I want is for the cops to find Jana and Kevin right now.

Phyllis: Well, they're gonna find them. Their faces are all over the internet and the TV.

Daniel: They're treating Kevin like a suspect.

Billy: Delia said he was there.

Daniel: Mm, I don't know. Maybe Jana took him, too.

Phyllis: Daniel, I realize he's your friend, but--

Billy: Look, he's been known to go off the rails. Jana was crazy in love with him. He could have talked her into anything.

Daniel: I'm telling you, this is Jana. This is all Jana.

Phyllis: Oh, okay, all right. Uh, Kevin, Jana-- it doesn't really matter. The point is, your-- your babies are home, and they're safe, and I'm so glad. I know that Daniel can relate, sort of. You know, not knowing where your child is or if they're safe. Right?

Daniel: Mm-hmm.

Victoria: What are you doing here? What do you want?

Daniel: (Sighs)

Victoria: Billy, what's going on, hmm?

Phyllis: Uh... uh, I'm sorry. I just-- I came by to see how Lucy was doing.

Victoria: Why?

Phyllis: Uh, um, well, I just heard what happened.

Billy: She's being a good friend. She was worried about us. She knows how much we love her.

Phyllis: Yeah. Also, I wanted to tell you I have everything covered at the office. You don't have to worry about anything. This is the only place that you should be right now.

Billy: Yeah, you're right about that.

Lucy: (Fusses)

Billy: Ohh.

Victoria: Thank you. I appreciate that, and I'm sorry. I'm just--

Lucy: (Cries)

Victoria: I'm a little-- a little paranoid right now.

Phyllis: No, don't worry about it. You have every right to be paranoid.

Victoria: I just--I don't want Lucy to end up on the next cover of "Restless Style," you know?

Phyllis: Yeah, that won't-- that's--that's not gonna happen. We wouldn't exploit this, no.

Victoria: No, of course you would never do that, right?

Billy: Shh, shh, shh, shh.

Phyllis: No, no, definitely not. Everything's taken care of at the office, and I-I understand how you feel. I really do. I mean, when-- when something happens to your child, all rational thought goes out the window, but she's here in her mommy's arms.

Victoria: Yeah.

Phyllis: That's the only place she should be. Yeah, you're with your mommy right now.

Victoria: Yeah, I know.

Daniel: Look, you know what? She's getting a little fussy. Maybe we should take off and let things get back to normal around here.

Victoria: Yeah.

Phyllis: Okay, yeah, um, so, um, I have everything covered at the office.

Billy: I-I appreciate you offering to take over for right now. Thanks.

Victoria: Shh.

Phyllis: All right, bye, Sweetie. Bye, pretty girl. Yeah. Bye, Guys.

Victoria: Bye.

Lucy: (Cries)

Daniel: You guys take care.

Daniel: Hey.

Phyllis: What is going on with you?

Daniel: What are you talking about?

Phyllis: You were so tense in there. What is going on with you?

Daniel: My best friend just got accused of something he didn't do. Are you telling me that wouldn't make you tense? Come on.

Paul: Okay, so look, Jana used her A.T.M. card late last night, but no charges since.

Chance: (Sighs) Credit cards?

Paul: Nothing there.

Heather: (Sighs) Let's check Kevin.

Gloria: How could anybody think that Kevin would kidnap Delia? He adores that child.

Chloe: Yeah, he would never hurt her. Please. I mean, I can't imagine him hurting anyone.

Gloria: Yeah.

Jeff: (Chokes) (Sighs) Wrong pipe.

Lauren: It's just a misunderstanding. We are gonna find Kevin, and he'll explain everything.

Gloria: Mm-hmm, if they believe him. The police are the ones who think the worst.

Kay: Gloria, we will testify otherwise, Dear.

Jeff: (Clears throat)

Gloria: Do you have a problem?

Jeff: Uh, no, but you might have a problem if you think, uh, Kevin is the boy next door. He did rob banks dressed like a rodent.

Gloria: Shut up. You know perfectly well he was forced into that, too.

Jeff: (Sighs)

Chloe: Yeah, by that sick bastard who kidnapped you and my mother.

Kay: Well, he wouldn't have been in that situation if he hadn't been trying to find me.

Lauren: And surely, you remember what it took for him to recover from that.

Jeff: I'm just sayin'--

Kay: All right, you-- I don't want to hear it-- not from you, not from Billy, not from anyone else. Now the only reason I am here is because he put everything on the line for me, and I'm not going to rest until he gets home safe and sound. I won't.

Chloe: Thank you.

Michael: Thank you for understanding. Chantal will--will call you to reschedule. All right, bye. (Sighs)

Heather: Have you heard anything more from the police about what they have on Kevin and this supposed mob connection?

Michael: (Clicks lips) No details, but they seem confident they can make the case.

Heather: Do you think Kevin could've gotten wind of that somehow that he was under suspicion?

Michael: Uh--

Jeff: Excuse me, uh, can I have a word with him? Um, I-I haven't shared any of this with, uh, your mother or anybody else--

Michael: Okay, already I-I don't like it.

Jeff: Okay, well, listen. I-I know some of the things that your brother's been up to, so I have a pretty good idea where he's disappeared to.

Kevin: Look, Jana. You don't have to be scared. I meant what I said. I'll tell everybody that you were great with Delia and Lucy. I'll get Michael to represent you.

Jana: Kevin, I know it's probably very difficult for you to let go of being the man in charge, and from making all the decisions for all of us, but in this case, you have to trust that I know what I'm doing here. And I promise you... (Sighs) That you're going to thank me one day.

(Train whistle blows)

(Building rattles)

Jana: Oh, God, I cannot hear myself bloody think. That train...the train.

Kevin: (Sighs) Thank you, Jana. I knew you would come to your senses. What are you doing?!

Jana: We're gonna go on a field trip. Come on.

Chloe: (Sighs)

Chloe: Wait, I know all of these reporters.

Kay: Mm-hmm.

Gloria: So do I.

Chloe: Yeah, and--and they've got the whole story all wrong. I should just get in touch with them and tell them.

Kay: Oh, that would be a waste of time, Chloe.

Chloe: Katherine, they are making him look like a criminal.

Kay: Darling, it's unfair, and it's upsetting. I know that. But they will never take the word of his girlfriend and his mother over that of the police, all right?

Lauren: No, you're right. You're right. Remember the last time you had a press conference when Kevin disappeared? I mean, it completely backfired.

Chloe: Yeah, but he is listening to all of this garbage.

Gloria: Mm-hmm.

Chloe: I want him to know that I don't believe it.

Kay: But he knows that. Of course he does. And when we find Kevin and we hear the whole story, we will put it out there. And I promise you, we will clear his name.

Gloria: If we find him.

Kay: Oh, Gloria.

Chloe: Oh, you have to stop saying that.

Gloria: No. There has to be a reason why he has not come home or he has not gotten in touch with us.

Lauren: Gloria, Gloria, he is smart, and he's resourceful, and he certainly knows how to handle Jana.

Chloe: Mm.

Kay: Yes. What do you think?

Lauren: Okay? And above all, he's a survivor.

Gloria: Mm.

Jeff: Your brother has been taking meetings with some very sketchy people-- Mafioso types.

Michael: Did you happen to overhear any of these conversations?

Jeff: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I wouldn't get too close with that. I don't monkey around with that element, but, uh, these guys, well, they looked very hard-core. So maybe your brother agitated them or didn't deliver, and when that happens, you know, these guys... are you gettin' my drift?

Michael: This... what does any of this have to do with Jana?

Jeff: Well, maybe she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, you know? They don't like witnesses.

Michael: (Sighs) You've been watching too many gangster movies.

(Doorbell rings)

Daniel: Oh, hey. Heather, what-- you here following up on the kidnapping?

Heather: Uh, yeah, trying to get to the bottom of it.

Daniel: Chloe here?

Heather: Mm-hmm, the living room.

Phyllis: Michael and Lauren?

Heather: Yeah.

Daniel: Hey, how the hell did this rumor get started that Kevin had something to do with this kidnapping?

Chloe: Well, I-I don't know. They jumped to conclusions. It's ridiculous.

Phyllis: Do you have any leads?

Lauren: Hey.

Paul: No, not yet, but, uh, I've got a friend at the station who's going to let me know if they get any credible leads on the, uh, on the hotline.

Chance: Neither Jana nor Kevin have used their credit cards at all today.

Lauren: Mm.

Michael: Well, the money Jana took out of the A.T.M. is not gonna last forever. They're gonna need food, a place to stay, gas if they're headed out of town.

Lauren: Well, unless-- unless someone is providing it for them.

Gloria: Who? Jana doesn't have any friends or anybody else to turn to.

Kay: What do you think?

Chloe: I think that Gloria is right. She doesn't have any friends. And she was totally obsessed with Kevin.

Phyllis: But he is in love with you. How'd she handle that? Was she angry with him?

Chloe: Well, she thought that we broke up. I mean, we had to pretend. We were pretending, so then she didn't find out that we were so hot on the trail to finding Daisy's baby.

Lauren: What?

Phyllis: Wait, "Hot on the trail"? What do you know about the baby?

Daniel: (Sighs)

Billy: Here you go. (Sighs) Would you like a shot of vodka with that?

Victoria: You know... (Sighs) That's really not funny. In fact, nothing about this is funny.

Billy: I know.

Victoria: Do you know how terrified I was when--when Phyllis walked in here, and my heart stopped because I thought she was coming to take her granddaughter?

Billy: Phyllis doesn't know anything, okay? And even if she did, it doesn't matter, because Daniel is Lucy's biological father. He wants us to raise her. He's willing to make it legal, so it doesn't matter anymore.

Victoria: You can't say that, Billy, okay? You can't say that. We're lucky to have her right now. Jana found out. I'm sure she told Kevin. God knows who else she told. I mean, we can't predict what people are gonna do. Everybody has a claim on our daughter. Our daughter-- she's not even ours.

Billy: She is our daughter.

Victoria: No, not legally, she's not. What if it's found out how you got her? Then what? Then what are we gonna do?

Billy: I screwed up, okay? I screwed up. I know it. I'm sorry. I should have checked a little further. I should have dug a little deeper, but I'm not gonna apologize for bringing Lucy into our lives. She is ours in every way that matters, and if they want to take her from us, fine. Give it a shot, but they're gonna have to kill me first.

Lucy: (Cries)

Kevin: Would you kindly stop pointing that thing into my ribs? I'm not gonna bolt.

Jana: I know you're not.

Kevin: (Sighs)

Jana: I just like being close to you. That's all. Okay, come on.

Kevin: So where are we headed?

Jana: (Sighs) Florida? That sounds nice and sunny and far, doesn't it?

Kevin: You know, it's gonna become a lot more difficult for Michael to represent you from across state lines.

Jana: Oh, you are so caring and protective. I really love that about you. Do you have your wallet?

Kevin: Yeah.

Jana: Okay. Go ahead and buy the tickets, then.

Kevin: I don't carry that kind of cash on me.

Jana: Use your credit card. Don't worry. I know they're going to track it. In fact, I'm counting on it.

Kevin: Okay.

Kevin: What? It got stuck.

Jana: Go on and buy the tickets, and don't try anything, because my friend and I are waiting nearby.

Kevin: Hi.

Billy: (Sighs)

Victoria: So how do you even kn-know how to go about buying a baby?

Billy: I didn't. I went to Rafe.

Victoria: Rafe?

Billy: Yeah, it's not like he had any personal involvement or anything, but he knew people who had, and he made an inquiry, and then a middleman set me up with a baby broker.

Victoria: Yeah, okay. All of those phone calls that abruptly ended whenever I entered the room-- that's what that was.

Billy: Yeah, that was her.

Victoria: A woman.

Billy: Yeah, her name's Primrose, "Prim" for short. She said that her family's been in this business for generations, and they never had any trouble.

Victoria: Is that true?

Billy: Well, Honey, it's not like I could exactly check her out with the better business bureau, but, yeah, she seemed to be professional enough.

Victoria: She "Seemed"? She se--you--you were willing to risk our future on a gut feeling?

Billy: Hey, look, okay? The only thing that mattered then was that I got you a baby. And she made it sound like-- that the mother was either too busy or too young to care for the kid, which made sense, okay?

Victoria: (Sighs)

Billy: And I had no idea of knowing that-- that she might be Daisy's, and I doubt that Primrose did, either.

Victoria: So you haven't even talked to her since you found out the truth?

Billy: No.

Victoria: No? Billy, we have to find out how much Daisy knows about this. If she knows that Lucy's her--

Lucy: (Laughs)

Victoria: Oh, my gosh. Did you just-- did you--

Billy: Have you heard that before?

Victoria: (Laughs) No, I've never heard that before. It's totally new. Go--go find the camera. Go on. That's funny, isn't it? (Laughs) Yeah.

Chloe: So I guess you didn't mention to your mother that we found a lead on the baby?

Phyllis: No, I guess you didn't mention it to your mother, did you?

Daniel: I didn't mention it because I just found out about it. (Stammers) We're gettin' off focus here. We're trying to be finding Kevin, right?

Lauren: No, no, no, no. Wait, wait. I want to hear more about that lead.

Michael: So would I.

Chloe: So Jana was doing some sleuthing, and I thought that she was just making stuff up to try to get Kevin's attention, and he looked into it. Apparently, it was legit. So then he pretended to help her. I pretended to get mad. You actually got mad.

Daniel: I agreed to help, too. I agreed to help.

Chloe: Yeah, eventually, you did.

Lauren: Why "Eventually"?

Chloe: Well, because Kevin thought that he was trying to sabotage the whole search.

Michael: Oh, well, that wouldn't be the first time, would it?

Daniel: The only reason Kevin thought that I was trying to sabotage the search is because of the stuff that you put in his head.

Michael: Really?

Kay: Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Now I--we're-- I think we're on to something here. Uh, Jana and Kevin were trying to find your baby?

Paul: Hold on a second. If--if that's what they were doing--looking for the baby-- where would they be headed?

Kay: I...

Phyllis: Canada. Right, Daniel?

Chloe: Well, Jana actually thought that the baby was closer-- here in Genoa City, possibly.

Lauren: What? Oh, my God.

Daniel: Well, that wasn't based on anything. She was goin' on guesses and assumptions.

Chloe: Yeah, and bank accounts that she swiped from a baby broker.

Paul: Do you have a list of the bank accounts? Either of you?

Daniel: No.

Chloe: Sorry. No.

Lauren: Would you tell us if you did?

Daniel: You know, you're unbelievable. I'm not gonna stand here and listen to this crap. (Scoffs)

Phyllis: Daniel. Daniel.

Michael: Daniel!

Phyllis: I'll go find out what's going on.

Kay: Phyllis?

Lauren: If that baby is in town, that means Daisy is on her way back or she could be in town already.

Michael: No. No, no.

Lauren: I mean-- wait a minute. What-- you know, what if she has Jana and Kevin?

Michael: Sweetie, no.

Kay: No, please, please. Now just--let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Chloe: (Sighs)

Kay: Come on. There's nothing that indicates that.

Heather: Yeah, the-- the last--the last we knew of Daisy, she was far away from here.

Lauren: Are you kidding me? That doesn't mean anything. She could be anywhere.

Kay: Lauren.

Gloria: (Quietly) Michael. Do not get distracted by this baby business. We need to find my baby. And Jana is crazier than anybody realized. You can tell by the look in her eye when she thinks nobody is staring at her. Now your brother needs you, Michael. You find him. I feel this in my bones.

Michael: I'm gonna find him and bring him home.

Gloria: Yes. Yes. (Sniffles)

Paul: Oh, I see, they--they've transferred account num--

Michael: Paul, um, I can't just sit around. I-I've gotta go check out some of the places that Kevin and Jana hung out at, so you just keep me informed, all right?

Paul: Yeah, you got it.

Michael: All right, thanks.

Paul: All right.

Chloe: (Sighs)

Paul: So these accounts became these accounts.

Michael: Are you gonna be all right?

Kay: She's in good hands, Michael.

Jeff: Hey, Michael? You might want to swing by the bar at the Athletic Club. There's a guy named Angelo. You'll know him because he'll have a ratty little dog in his lap. He'll know something about your brother.

Michael: For something you supposedly know nothing about, you sure know a lot.

Paul: Hey, we've got something. We've got something here.

Chloe: We have something.

Chance: Wait, wait.

Chloe: Ow. Sorry.

Paul: Kevin just used his credit card at the central train station.

Chance: Let's go.

Paul: Terminal nine.

Chance: All right, come on.

Chloe: Okay, yeah. Well, bring a--what?

Chance: No. No, no. W-wait. You stay here, all right?

Chloe: (Sighs)

Chance: If we have to talk Jana down off some sort of ledge, if she sees you, that's gonna send her right over it. Besides, Kevin would probably want you safe.

Chloe: Fine. You call me the second you find him.

Chance: Okay. That pledge you have does more than polish wood.

Daniel: (Sighs) Can we maybe just let this go?

Phyllis: No, no, I'm not going to. I want an explanation. You--you say you want to find your daughter, that you care what happens to her...

Daniel: Do you not believe me?

Phyllis: Yeah, I do. That's why I'm so confused. I mean, you have everybody trying to help you with the search. You have Michael going to Canada. You--you have Kevin working with Jana, of all people. And you're constantly undermining them.

Daniel: I'm not undermining anyone.

Phyllis: Oh, you are such a bad liar, which is so embarrassing. Sit down.

Daniel: (Clears throat)

Phyllis: Don't you wonder where your daughter is? I mean, don't you-- don't you wonder if you've maybe seen her already at the grocery store, at the mall? I mean, doesn't that make you crazy, Daniel? Don't--don't you look at every baby that goes by and wonder?

Daniel: No.

Phyllis: How could you not?

Daniel: (Sighs) Maybe I know where she is.

Chloe: Any minute now, Chance is going to call me and tell me that everything is fine, that Kevin is safe.

Kay: (Sighs) Well, I certainly hope so.

Chloe: Hey, did I ever say thank you for kicking me in the butt and making me realize that we were meant to be together?

Kay: You don't have to thank me.

Chloe: I wish that I had figured it out so much sooner. I feel like I wasted so much time.

Kay: Well, it started out right. You started as friends.

Chloe: Okay, well, then I wish that we were friends sooner. (Sighs) You know, and then you telling me about how he was-- you know, how great he was and how he fought for you when you were in trouble.

Kay: Well, that's what you want in a man is loyalty. Do you know, it wouldn't surprise me at all if, um, he isn't still just a tad loyal to Jana, in spite of everything she's done.

Paul: Excuse me. Uh, perhaps you can help us. We're looking for these two people. Have you seen them?

Man: Uh, yeah, just now.

Chance: Where?

Paul: Where?

Man: Well, they got on the train to Orlando. They just left.

Paul: Come on.

Chance: (Sighs)

Jana: (Sighs) (Sighs) Okay. All right, so for now, people are gonna think that we're in Florida. (Chuckles) People saw us getting on the train. They didn't see us getting off. And my car is hidden. Yours is at the train station, so... (Sighs) I'd say we've just bought ourselves a few days of privacy. (Sighs)

Kevin: Then what, Jana? What happens next? Sooner or later, you're gonna have to let me go.

Jana: I know that. But at least by then, you will have fallen back in love with me. So what do you think?

Billy: (Laughs) All right.

Victoria: Do it again!

(Makes silly noises)

Billy: Get over--grab-- p-pick her up. Pick her up. Pick her up. We'll--

Victoria: Okay. Come on.

Billy: We'll do this... (Laughs) Together. I want to get you both in this.

Victoria: Oh, little baby, want to do it again for daddy? 'Cause you're such a happy girl. I love you so much.

Victoria: Smile!

Billy: Say hello. Hi, Lucy!

Victoria: Can you wave? Say hi da--

Billy: All right, come on. Stop. Don't do this to yourself. We're not gonna lose her. I swear. Look at me. Hey, look at me. Look at me. Have--I'm not perfect. I made masses of mistakes here, and I am sorry. But the entire time we've been together, have I ever let you down? I think I've proved that there are no limits. There's nothing I'm not going to do for our little girl, for you, for all my girls. Anything they need, I'm gonna take care of it, okay?

Angelo: Daddy has to have a drink. (Sighs) Just one.

Michael: Are you Angelo?

Angelo: Who wants to know?

Michael: Michael Baldwin, Kevin Fisher's brother.

Angelo: Oh, the hotshot lawyer. Yeah, I thought you looked familiar. Can't believe your brother turned out to be a baby-napper. Seemed like such a stand-up kid.

Michael: He didn't do what they're saying. I think he's being held against his will. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?

Angelo: How would I?

Michael: I know you've got a lot of eyes and ears on the street.

Angelo: Are you askin' if I hurt the kid, or are you askin' for my help?

Paul: The police are going to be waiting for Kevin at the train's next stop.

Kay: Will they arrest him?

Chloe: (Sighs)

Heather: Uh, if they do, it'll be okay. He's got a great lawyer.

Gloria: Heather, you do know what it does to him to be in confined spaces-- jail cells, closets, anything.

Jeff: There, there, Buttercup.

Chloe: I just want to make sure that he's okay.

Lauren: What is it?

Paul: A friend of mine got me a copy of the security footage at the train station, the terminal where Kevin bought the ticket. Let's take a look.

(Computer chimes)

Chloe: (Sighs) Okay.

Phyllis: You know where your daughter is?

Daniel: (Clears throat)

Phyllis: Since when?

Daniel: Look, all you have to know is that she is in a wonderful home with parents that adore her, and I want her to stay there.

Phyllis: Is this just another tactic to get me to stop looking?

Daniel: No. (Clears throat) No. No, it's not, but you need to stop looking, because you're gonna tip off Daisy. Somebody here is gonna tip off Daisy. Right now, that baby has everything that I could have ever wanted for her. I mean, she's got a good home. She's got wonderful parents. She never has to know about Daisy. She never has to know about Sheila Carter. She never has to know about Terrible Tom, unless you guys mess it up for her.

Phyllis: So this is why you let Daisy go? Daniel. So Daisy doesn't even know where her child is?

Daniel: She might know that she's in Genoa City somewhere.

Phyllis: (Sighs)

Phyllis: And you-- you checked out this home? You--you really... checked it out? It's fine?

Daniel: She's fine, yeah.

Phyllis: Well, that's good, because you know, I've been having nightmares that she's been neglected and crying and--

Daniel: No. (Laughs) It's nothing like that. Trust me.

Phyllis: Where is she?

Daniel: (Coughs) (Clears throat) (Chuckles) Come on. I'm not gonna tell you that. (Sighs) Come on.

Phyllis: Listen, I-I respect your resolve to keep her safe. You were taking a lot of heat from us. Everything certainly makes sense to me, and I'm proud of you. I really am. I have to say, I don't think you've thought this through.

Daniel: (Groans) Here we go.

Phyllis: Yes, here we go. Your daughter doesn't need to be cut out of your life because of Daisy. We can protect her without cutting her out of our lives.

Daniel: Mnh-mnh.

Phyllis: Daniel, you know, I'm part of this, too. My granddaughter. You cut her out of my life. She's basically been stolen from us, like Billy and Victoria's baby was stolen from them.

Daniel: Mm. Yeah.

Phyllis: And Billy and Victoria... adopted Lucy... around the same time that Daisy...

Daniel: (Clears throat)

Phyllis: (Sighs) And Jana... has been looking for Dais...

Phyllis: (Sighs) Oh, my God. Daniel... Lucy is your daughter?

Chloe: Look, look, look, look. There they are. There they are.

Paul: Oh.

Jeff: Awful snuggly, aren't they?

Gloria: Jana's the only one doing any clinging.

Kay: Oh, Gloria.

Jeff: Doesn't look like a guy being held against his will to me.

Gloria: Shh!

Paul: Yeah, look, appearances aren't always what they seem.

Lauren: (Sighs) That's right.

Paul: We learned that the last time when Kevin was abducted by Clint.

Chance: She could be forcing him to cooperate.

Paul: Mm-hmm.

Chloe: (Sighs)

(Basketball bounces repeatedly against wall)

Jana: (Sighs) Okay. Please, I need guidance. Please give me a sign. (Sighs) (Basketball continues bouncing)

Jana: Okay.

Jana: N... U... T... S. "Nuts"? I'm not nuts! (Objects clattering) (Bouncing stops) (Basketball resumes bouncing)

Michael: If you hear anything of my brother, I won't ask where the information came from. I just want him back.

Angelo: (Sighs) I'd be glad to help, but I may need your assistance someday, Mr. Attorney.

Victoria: I just-- I want to believe that... (Sighs) It's all gonna work out.

Billy: Daniel's on our side. He's happy she's with us. He's not gonna change his mind. It's all gonna work out.

Victoria: We can't lose her, Billy.

Billy: Baby, she is our baby.

Phyllis: That little bundle of personality and... that hair. She has red hair. How did I not know this before?

Daniel: Well, you've seen for yourself. She's in great hands, right?

Phyllis: This is a miracle. Of all the families she should have gone to or--or could have, and--and she wound up with Billy and Victoria here in Genoa City? I mean, that's a miracle. That's just not a random occurrence. That's fate.

Daniel: It's fate, yeah.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Daniel: Good, so we're in agreement, right? I mean, she's where she belongs. So the most loving thing that we can do is just walk away and let her go and just let her be raised and have it--

Phyllis: Let--let go? No, we're not gonna let go. She's ours.

Daniel: Mom...

Phyllis: She's not an Abbott. Daniel, she's one of us.

Daniel: (Sighs)

Phyllis: She's one of us.

Daniel: (Sighs)

Phyllis: We're not gonna ignore her. We're not gonna turn our back on her. She's ours.
