Daniel: Since she was adopted.

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Abby: Oh, my God. It's Billy. They found the kids.

Kay: Say good-bye to the nice man.

Murphy: Hey, thanks, Guys, for hightailin' it down here. Here you go.

Chloe: It's okay.

Victoria: Oh, it's okay.

Billy: Hey, Guys, how are my little girls, huh? Are they all right?

Chloe: Yeah, it's gonna be okay. Mommy's here.

Murphy: Oh, they were both real troopers.

Kay: Yes, the E.M.T.s checked the children out. They're just fine. Believe me, they're fine.

Billy: Yeah?

Lucy: (Cries)

Victoria: Oh, it's okay.

Heather: I just heard the Amber Alert on the radio. I--are there any leads?

Chance: (Sighs) Excuse me, a-- a woman with two small children was seen getting on a bus to Minneapolis. If anything happens to Delia...

Heather: Oh, God, I know-- I know how much that little girl means to you.

Chance: Yeah, well, whatever I'm feeling right now, it pales in comparison to what Chloe and Billy and Victoria are feeling.

Phyllis: Thank you, but you--you--you were sort of close to Jana, right? I mean, do you have any idea why she would do this?

Lauren: (Sighs) Who knows with her?

Phyllis: Well, what about Kevin?

Michael: We haven't been able to reach him.

Lauren: Yeah, and Michael left a message, but he never returned the call.

Michael: Not surprising, considering he didn't even call when his own mother was arrested.

Phyllis: Wait, excuse me. Your mother was arrested? What did she do?

Lauren: (Chuckles)

Michael: Oh, oh, okay, breaking and entering at Jana's.

Phyllis: Well, that's interesting. At Jana's?

Michael: Gloria has been squawking for months about what a fruit loop Jana has become. Now if Jana did take the kids...

Phyllis: Ooh, that means your mom is right.

Lauren: (Chuckles)

Michael: That's horrifying. Don't you repeat that.

Lauren: Really.

Phyllis: (Sighs)

Lauren: You know, honestly, we should have cut Jana loose a long time ago.

Kevin: You did the right thing. You did the right thing giving those kids back.

Jana: Well... we don't need them now, right? Now that we're starting our own family. You know, I think I like "Unity" for a girl and I think I like "Echo" for a boy. What do you think?

Kevin: I-I think you can put the gun down, Jana. It's making me nervous.

Jana: No, I-I-I need-- need to make sure that you're not gonna trick me again, like when you lied about us being married. (Sniffles)

Kevin: I did that to help you.

Jana: (Voice breaking) I know the truth. I know you-- you still want Chloe.

Jana: (Sobs) God, you know, I really wish I could believe you. (Sighs)

Kevin: Jana. Jana. Put the gun down, please. Please, let's go home.

Jana: No. (Sniffles) Make yourself comfortable, because for now, this is where we're gonna be living.

Abby: You should have told me about Lucy.

Daniel: Who was I supposed to tell? I couldn't tell you. I couldn't tell anybody. I tell someone, I-I risk word getting out and Daisy coming around here and--and looking for her. She's in an awesome home. She's got Billy and Victoria. They are amazing parents. Why risk that, make her go through her entire life with the stigma of having Tom Fisher a-and Sheila Carter as her grandparents? Come on.

Abby: God, that must have been awful for you having to walk into Billy and Victoria's home and see your own daughter and--and have to keep that a secret.

Lily: Hey, Daniel. Have you seen the news?

Abby: Oh, wow. You didn't keep it a secret, did you? You told Lily.

Murphy: The cops said they'll be searching for Jana, but keep in touch.

Kay: Whatever possessed her to take the children?

Kay: (Chuckles) Aw.

Billy: Hey, little monkey, did you and Lucy go with Miss Jana? Yeah?

Murphy: Mm.

Billy: Do you know where you went? Do--do you know where she said she was going after she left here?

Delia: With Kevin.

Billy: With Kevin? Really?

Chloe: Kevin has nothing to do with this.

Kay: Well, come on, please. The people, the excitement-- she's confused, Billy.

Billy: Maybe she's not.

Chloe: Baby, Baby, did--did Miss Jana say that she was going to look for Kevin?

Delia: No.

Billy: She was with Kevin?

Kay: Well...

Chloe: (Sighs)

Kevin: (Sighs) Jana, we can't stay here. It's freezing. There's no food. (Sighs)

(Train whistle blows) (Building rattles)

Kevin: There's that.

Jana: Well, if you look on the bright side, I mean, at least we've got a bathroom, and we have a kitchenette in there. We have some sleeping mats.

Kevin: Yeah, everything a 5 year old would want.

Jana: You know, there was a time when all you wanted was me. I was all you needed to make you happy. I did make you happy, didn't I?

Kevin: Yeah.

Jana: Yeah.

Kevin: Yeah, and you can make me happy again. Just, um, just not here.

Jana: I'm sorry. I didn't-- I didn't mean for it to get like this. (Sniffles) I-if you would just have taken me back...

Kevin: Jana... (Sighs) After you left me, I was so broken up, you know? I was just-- I was afraid to risk everything again.

Jana: (Sniffles)

Kevin: I'd invested so much, you know? You--you were the girl of my dreams.

Jana: (Laughs) Was I?

Kevin: Yeah. Yeah. You're the first woman who ever got me-- like, really got me and didn't run away screaming.

Jana: I felt exactly the same about you.

Kevin: I think that a love like ours is once in a lifetime. And being here with you like this has made me remember that. Give me another chance. Give us another chance.

Jana: (Sighs) God, you know, I want to. Mm...

Kay: (Scoffs)

Chloe: Okay, Katherine, uh, take Delia to the car, please, and just get her settled.

Murphy: Yeah, well, we could take her home with us.

Billy: (Chuckles)

Delia: I like cars.

Kay: You want to go to the car? Well, that's where we're going. We're going to the car.

Chloe: Okay.

Billy: Mm-hmm.

Chloe: You do not take the blame of yourself and pin this on Kevin. If you had listened to me in the first place and fired Jana like I told you to--

Billy: Just stop. Just stop. Stop. Delia just said that Kevin was with Jana. You don't want to hear it.

Chloe: Yeah, he's probably talking her off a ledge somewhere. Or better yet, that psycho probably did something to him.

Billy: (Whispering) It's probably the other way around.

Chloe: Will you please tell him that he's being ridiculous?

Victoria: I--listen, I have no idea why Jana took the girls, and honestly, Chloe, I don't know Kevin that well.

Billy: (Normal voice) Yeah, well, I do, and he almost killed my niece.

Chloe: (Scoffs) That was a really long time ago.

Billy: Mm-hmm. People like him don't change.

Chloe: Okay, well, then if you believe that, then why did you hire Jana in the first place? She's done time for murder. I am telling you that she is the one that took our kids, not Kevin.

Billy: Hey, look, I will be by to see Delia--

Chloe: Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

Billy: No?

Chloe: She went through enough today. I'll tell you when you can see her next.

Billy: (Sighs) She's not listening to any of this whatsoever.

Victoria: It's fine. It's okay. The girls are safe. We have Lucy back.

Billy: All right.

Victoria: Okay?

Billy: Okay. That's right, Buddy. That's right. No more late nights for you. I am gonna get a G.P.S. tracking system for you. This is true.

Victoria: Please take us home, please?

Billy: Yes, I will.

Victoria: (Sighs) Thank you.

Abby: I'm right, aren't I? You told Lily that the baby was yours.

Lily: Listen, I am so sorry.

Abby: Well, you trusted her over me. What does that say about our relationship?

Daniel: It's not like that.

Abby: Well, that's how it feels.

Lily: No, you know what? He just wanted to tell somebody that wasn't connected to Lucy, you know? Someone that he could just trust that wouldn't say anything.

Daniel: Uh--

Abby: You don't trust me?

Daniel: Of course. Of course I trust you, and I am sorry if your feelings are hurt right now, but this hasn't been all that easy on me, either, okay? And I needed to talk to someone that--that I-I could tell this to at--at the time, someone who wasn't emotionally involved with it.

Phyllis: Um, I think I-I sort of owe you two an apology. I kind of snapped on you the other day.

Michael: You were protecting Daniel. But I still think he let Daisy go on purpose, and I would like to know why he did that.

Lauren: Okay, so maybe you should go out back.

Phyllis: We're gonna agree to disagree. We're gonna--okay?

Michael: All right, well-- well, maybe one thing we can all agree on is we want Daisy back in jail. How about that?

Lauren: Well, that's for sure. That would make me very happy.

Phyllis: Yeah, well, it would make me happy if we found the baby, actually. That would make me happy. I think about this baby all the time. I'm worried about her. Where is she? I'm completely helpless. I've--I-I keep on thinking of worst-case scenarios. I am... helpless. I don't do helpless very well.

(Cell phone rings)

Michael: Oh, I'm sorry. Excuse me. Yes? Michael Baldwin.

Chloe: Hi, it's Chloe.

Michael: Hello. What's up?

Chloe: We found the kids. They're safe, and Delia is with me now.

Michael: It's Chloe. They found the kids.

Phyllis: Oh, thank God.

Michael: Where were they?

Chloe: Jana left them at St. Mary's.

Michael: So it was Jana.

Chloe: That's why I'm calling. Look, I'm headed back to Katherine's. Can you meet me there? I'm worried about Kevin.

Michael: Why? Do you think he's mixed up in this?

Chloe: Not by choice.

Michael: I'm leaving now.

Lauren: Is everything okay?

Michael: Yeah, I hope so. I'll call you when I find out what's going on.

Lauren: Okay. All right.

Michael: All right.

Jana: "And never let it go." You remember.

Kevin: I remember everything about our wedding day-- the sunshine, the smell of the ocean...

Jana: Mm-hmm.

Kevin: You looked like a fairy-tale princess.

Jana: (Chuckles) (Sighs) Kevin, that was the best day of my life. Lighting that unity candle and joining ourselves for eternity. Wow, I really thought we'd be together forever, you know? (Sniffles)

Kevin: I wish I could have that Jana back.

Jana: (Sighs)

Kevin: The one I fell in love with, so we could be close together again.

Jana: (Voice cracks) I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Everything changed because of the aneurysm.

Kevin: No, I wonder if that was my fault. I pushed you so hard to get better.

Jana: (Stomping foot) Oh, where is the time machine when you need it? (Sighs)

Kevin: Well, you know, we can't change the past, but, um, that doesn't mean that we can't start a new future, right? One that's even better.

Jana: We could take a drive down the coast together.

Kevin: A second honeymoon?

Jana: Yeah.

Kevin: Yeah. Let's do it. Let's do it.

Jana: No. No! God, you're trying to trick me again, aren't you?! I knew that! I cannot fall for any more of your bloody lies. That's enough! (Breathing heavily)

Esther: Mwah.

Jill: Oh, Sweetheart.

Kay: Oh, for heaven sakes, don't frighten the poor child.

Chloe: (Chuckles)

Jill: Oh, thank God this nightmare is over.

Esther: Oh, Honey, I bet you're hungry. Want to come to the kitchen with Grandma?

Chloe: You know what, Mommy? I don't even want her out of my sight. Let her stay here.

Esther: Okay, I'll get you a snack.

(Doorbell rings)

Esther: Oh. I'll get it.

Chloe: (Sighs) I left Pinkerton at Billy's. (Sighs)

Jill: Nope, Pinkerton is right here. I remembered.

Chloe: Oh. Oh!

Kay: Wonderful.

Jill: Come here, Sweetheart.

Chloe: Oh, look. Go get Pinkerton.

(Voices overlap)

Kay: (Chuckles)

Jill: There we go. Good.

Michael: Hey, everyone.

Murphy: Michael.

Chloe: Oh, Michael. Thank you so much for coming.

Kay: Ahh, yes, Michael.

Jill: What is Michael doing here?

Chloe: Well, Delia said that, uh, Kevin was with Jana.

Jill: Kevin was involved in this?

Kay: Absolutely not.

Murphy: Aw, he's a good boy.

Chloe: Yeah, I-I am convinced that Kevin is the one who, you know, told Jana to let the girls go.

Jill: Well, if he's such a good boy, where is he?

Chloe: I don't know, and I'm afraid that-- that Jana hurt Kevin. Shh.

Michael: Look, I tried reaching him on the way over here. It goes straight to voice mail.

Chloe: Yeah, I know, and that's been going on for hours. Is there something that you can do? Can you put out a missing person's report or something?

Michael: No, no, I'll make a few phone calls.

Chance: I heard the kids have been fou-- (Sighs)

Chloe: Oh, DeeDee. DeeDee, look who it is. It's Chance. Remember how I told you that he came back with us?

Chance: Hey, hi. (Chuckles) There you are, "Small fry." Man, you had us scared. Hey, can I-- can I have a hug? Can I have a hug? Yeah? Oh, my gosh, I missed you so much. You give the best hugs,

Jill: (Chuckles)

Chance: And you know what? Come here. Look, I bet Mr. Pinkerton missed you. You want to see Mr. Pinkerton? Right there. We are so glad to have you home. I'll tell you what, I gotta talk to mommy for just a second, okay? You need some help with your shoe? (Chuckles) There you go. (Sighs) Um, so, uh, what's goin' on with--with Kevin? What's with the search?

Chloe: I'm afraid something's really, really wrong.

Jana: Okay, I have to go to the store, and I have to buy some supplies.

Kevin: Will you get me some chips and beer?

Jana: See, now the question is, is what are we gonna do about you?

Kevin: Honor system?

Jana: (Scoffs) You funny boy. Wow, that's something I really love about you. (Chuckles)

Kevin: Jana, the cops are probably looking for you by now. Aren't you worried about being recognized?

Jana: Oh, thank you. There's no reason for you to be concerned. That's very sweet.

Kevin: Jana, you don't have to hide, okay? We can call Michael. He can help you turn yourself in.

Jana: No! I'm not turning myself in! And I'm not letting you go. And all of this beautiful talk about us being together, I know you--you don't mean it. But you will. You will, because if we stay together, you will love me again. That's why we're gonna live here for a while, because then you will fall back in love with me, and we'll be together, and everything will be perfect.

Victoria: Gosh, you know, I never thought that I would love another child as much as I love Reed.

Billy: Yeah, I used to think-- (Clears throat) I used to think the same thing about Delia.

Victoria: It's like she's a part of me.

Billy: She's a part of us.

Victoria: You know, before Jana texted you, you said something about maybe being part of the reason that she took the girls. What--what does that mean?

Billy: I can't lie to you anymore. (Clears throat)

Victoria: You've been lying?

Billy: I thought I could keep this a secret, but people are figuring it out, and, uh, you should know the truth.

Victoria: You're kind of scaring me right now.

Billy: Lucy, um... we didn't actually adopt her.

Victoria: Yeah, we did. Mm-hmm. We have the birth certificate.

Billy: It's fake.

Victoria: But we have her social security number, and we have adoption papers.

Billy: It's all fake. It's all fake. It's all fake. It's all--look, I-- this is kind of hard to say. Uh, Vicki, I bought her on the black market. I-I bought her.

Victoria: What? You--you wouldn't do that. You couldn't do that. What--what--

Billy: Yeah, I-I-I-- I did do that, and I just found out who her real parents are-- Daniel and Daisy.

Victoria: (Sighs) No, I-- there's just-- I mean, there's no way. Daisy had her baby in Canada after Lucy was born.

Billy: Daisy had her baby in Genoa City on New Year’s Eve. I promise you, it was a complete coincidence that Lucy ended up in the hands of the same baby broker I dealt with.

Victoria: (Sighs) A baby broker? How did you even get involved with a baby broker in the first place?

Billy: You were so upset that you couldn't get pregnant. You'd just lost Reed, and I wanted us to have a family of our own so bad. I know how much that meant to you, how much that meant to us. I'm positive that we would not be... considered adoptive parents...

Victoria: (Sighs)

Billy: So I-I-I asked around. A friend of a friend sent me to this woman, and...

Victoria: So did she say that--that she was Daisy's baby? Is--is that--

Billy: No, Daniel told me.

Victoria: Daniel? Daniel knows about this? Daniel knows. He-- what if he tries to take her?

Billy: He's not gonna try to take her. He doesn't want to take her. He knows that Lucy belongs with you.

Victoria: What if he changes his mind?

Billy: He's not gonna change his mind.

Victoria: What if Daisy finds out?

Billy: She's not gonna find out. She's not gonna find out.

Victoria: I knew something was wrong when you brought her home. (Sighs) That whole story that you made up with the red tape and the facilitator and all of that--I told you. I told you I didn't want to fall in love with her. I told you not to put her in my arms, but you handed her to me, and you--you promised me that she wasn't going to be taken away. You--you promised me that, and now you're telling me that she might be ours illegally? But don't worry about it, because nobody's gonna find out? My God, Billy, what's wrong with you?!

Billy: Listen, no one's gonna take her from us, okay? I promise.

Victoria: Don't! I can't even look at you right now. Just--

Billy: I swear. I swear to you on my life. No one's gonna take her--

Victoria: Go. Just go. Just get out. (Sniffles)

Victoria: (Sighs)

Daniel: You know, this was never about not trusting you. This has always been about what was best for--

Abby: (Stammers) Yeah, it's been about what's best for Lucy. I know. I heard you the first time. I-I want what's best for her.

(Cell phone rings)

Daniel: Hey, Man. How's everyone doing?

Billy: The kids are all right, at least. Can you come over to the house?

Daniel: Why?

Billy: I need you to assure Victoria you won't take Lucy away.

Daniel: You told her?

Billy: I had to.

Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, I can do that. Um, I have to go. I'm sorry, uh, I'll come by your place later, and we can talk.

Abby: You should call first.

Lily: Hey, Abby, listen. Don't--don't be angry with him.

Abby: Excuse me?

Lily: He wanted to confide in you. He--he did, but he just knows how much you love Lucy, and didn't want to put you in an awkward position.

Abby: You know, Daniel might be okay talking to you about personal stuff, but I am not.

Lily: (Sighs)

Heather: Katherine, Jill.

Kay: Heather.

Heather: I'm so glad everything turned out okay.

Chloe: Thank you.

Michael: All right, you know what? Get back to me quickly. Thank you. And thank you for coming.

Michael: I was wondering if you could talk to some of your buddies down at the D.A.'s office, see if they have any leads.

Heather: Uh, you know, I'm-- I'm sure that the police are doing everything they can to find Jana.

Michael: It's not Jana I'm worried about. Kevin may be with her.

Heather: Is he in on this?

Kay: He might be in trouble.

Chance: Well, I checked with Paul, and he's still workin' on it, so...

Heather: All right, well, I'll--I'll see what I can do.

Esther: Okay. (Chuckles) Here we go. Chocolate chip cookies.

Chloe: Ohh, look what Grandma made. You want a cookie?

Kay: No, thank you, Esther.

Chloe: You want a cookie, right?

Jill: Of course she wants a cookie.

Chloe: Yes, yes. Grab one, grab one, grab one!

Jill: Take a cookie. Yeah.

Chloe: Oh, that's a good one.

Jill: Oh, see, Baby? That's a really good one. Aw.

Chloe: Yeah.

Kay: She has no idea how frightened we were.

Jill: Mm.

Esther: If anything ever happened to that sweet little girl... oh, my God. (Voice breaking) I don't know what I would do. (Sniffles) (Sobs)

Kay: (Chuckles)

Jill: (Laughs) Oh, Lord, its official. The three of us are ridiculous.

Esther: (Laughs)

Kay: (Laughs) (Sighs) Dear God, I needed that.

Jill: Oh, oh, we haven't laughed like that in a long time.

Kay: Well, we should grab these moments when we can. That's for sure.

Jill: Now that I agree with.

Lauren: I understand why you feel the way that you do.

Phyllis: (Sighs)

Lauren: But don't you get it? If we find that baby, I am so afraid that it's gonna bring Daisy back. I can't do it. I can't do it, Phyllis.

Phyllis: Okay, I understand. I understand, Lauren. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. Okay? I appreciate your fear. I understand. We are talking about my son's child.

Lauren: (Sighs)

Phyllis: We don't know where she is. If this were Scotty... if this were Scotty...

Lauren: (Sighs)

Phyllis: You would do everything you could to find that baby. Am I right? Well, I know I'm right, because I know you, and you would. You would feel the same way. I can't stop worrying about her.

Lauren: Have you ever considered that she could be in a loving home with loving parents?

Phyllis: I have, yes. I have, and I hope that's the case, but we can't be sure. I want her back.

Kay: (Sighs) Listen, I wouldn't worry too much. We know that Kevin is very resourceful.

Chloe: Yeah. Well, whatever Jana's up to, I know that he's not a part of it.

Kay: Well, you don't have to convince me. I'm his greatest fan.

Chloe: Too bad the club is so small, because everyone else seems to think the worst of him.

Kay: Well, as we know, it's very difficult overcoming one's past. I'm sure you remember when Kevin came to Genoa City, he was a very troubled young man. And even when he turned his life around, they--they thought that he had gone back to his old ways because he ran off, uh, with-- with Amber, and he only did that-- he was on the run with her because he was trying to find me. And they also didn't believe him, uh, when he had nothing to do with the--those crimes. Nothing.

Chloe: Well, Billy seems to think that nobody really changes.

Jill: (Laughs) Hey, I love my son, but comin' from Billy, that's pretty funny.

Kay: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Esther: Honey, Kevin is crazy about you and Delia.

Chloe: (Sighs) Jana has been trying to break up this relationship from the start, and I'm just not gonna let her win this time.

Kay: Good girl.

Jill: She won't win. We'll find her.

Kay: And we'll find him.

Heather: My--my contact at the D.A.'s office just confirmed-- it's not just Jana they're looking for. They have an A.P.B. out on Kevin as an accomplice.

Michael: He's a victim.

Heather: Well, that's not the way they see it. Apparently there's been this ongoing undercover investigation into a local gambling ring.

Michael: G-- these are about the betting slips the police found on him, the ones he refused to take responsibility for.

Heather: Mm-hmm, well, he must have known more about them then he was letting on. According to my source, Kevin is a bagman for the mob.

Lauren: Phyllis, Daniel doesn't want the baby. Why would you even think about taking her out of a good home?

Phyllis: That baby was basically kidnapped from my son.

Lauren: Yeah, by her mother.

Phyllis: By Daisy. By Daisy, yeah. Daisy would have never gotten parental rights ever. That would have gone to Daniel and me. I had my child taken away from me, Lauren. I-I'm never gonna get those years back. I wasn't able to raise my son.

Woman: Police canceled the Amber Alert after the children were found. Still wanted for questioning are preschool teacher Jana Hawkes Fisher and her ex-husband local businessman Kevin Fisher.

Lauren: Oh--oh, my God. I gotta go.

Phyllis: Yeah, go. Go.

Woman: Anyone with information about their whereabouts...

Billy: Thanks for comin'. Vicki's freakin' out.

Daniel: Did you tell her I want Lucy to stay with you?

Billy: Yeah, but she thinks you're gonna change your mind or Daisy's gonna come kidnap her.

Daniel: Daisy doesn't know about Lucy.

Billy: Would you just talk to Vicki, please? Tell her no one's gonna take her little girl. Please?

Daniel: Yeah, sure.

Billy: She's upstairs in the nursery this way. (Clears throat)

Jana: Where do you think you're going?

Kevin: Nowhere. I-I just thought-- I thought you were sleeping.

Jana: No, I was meditating. I was trying to get an answer from the universe.

Kevin: Did you get one?

Jana: Step back. Go inside there.

Kevin: Oh, come on. Are you kidding me? You know I'm claustrophobic.

Jana: I know. This really pains me to do this, but I just think that given your history, this is the best way to break you.

Kevin: Jana, I-I don't need to be broken.

Jana: Inside, now.

Kevin: Please, please, Jana. Don't do this. Don't do this.

Jana: You're not the Kevin that I married, not after all those terrible things that you did to me. You need to go in that closet, or I swear, I'll k-- I will kill you, you know. I don't want to, but I-I might. I will.

Kevin: Fine. Hardly the way to get me to fall back in love with you.

Jana: (Sighs)

Kevin: (Clears throat)

Abby: So I hear you're, like, the go-to guy around here, so I was thinking maybe you could help me. It's Daniel. He didn't tell me about Lucy. I don't know. (Sighs) Maybe that was a good thing. I mean, me keeping a secret from Victoria... probably not. (Sighs) It wouldn't bother me so much, but he told Lily. Lily. Anyone but her. I mean, they were married. And she's amazing. And I am, like, I'm like this-- this spoiled-looking prima donna whose biggest problem is--is getting money to finance my own TV show. And then there's Lily. She beat cancer. Her husband's death... she's raising two kids on her own, and she's... she's beautiful. And she's genuine. She's someone with real substance. How am I supposed to compete with that?

(Knock on door)

Daniel: Hey.

Victoria: This isn't a good time, Daniel.

Daniel: Vicki, look, I came here to tell you that I would never take Lucy away from you and Billy. I mean, I couldn't have picked a better home or better parents for her.

Victoria: How do I know you won't change your mind?

Daniel: I don't know. You're just gonna have to trust me. I never wanted to be a father. I mean, that's what broke up my marriage to Amber, and I had this baby all set to be put up for adoption as soon as she was born. You know, and everybody in this town, they kept telling me, "Oh, you're gonna change your mind. Once you see her, you're gonna change your mind. You just wait." And, yeah, when I did see her, I was surprised at how much I cared. But I still didn't want her.

Victoria: Yeah, well, you say that now--

Daniel: Look, I will-- I will sign whatever it takes, whatever paperwork you want me to sign to go ahead and make it legal, 'cause as far as I'm concerned, that baby belongs to you and Billy. I'll do whatever it takes to keep it that way.

Victoria: (Sighs)

Lauren: Hey, what-- what's going on? I just saw the news.

Jill: We haven't been watching. What did they say?

Lauren: They said that the police are looking for Jana and Kevin, that they're both suspects.

Chloe: No, that's not true.

Kay: Shh. It's all gonna be straightened out. Come on.

Chloe: No, it--it will be. Right? I mean, once they find him, you'll be able to clear his name, and they will realize that Jana is the one who's a lunatic and that--and that Kevin didn't do anything wrong, right?

Michael: I will take care of this, Chloe.

Jana: (Sighs) (Whispering) Don't feel guilty, Jana. He's gonna be fine. He's gonna be fine. (Sighs) You will love me again, Kevin. You will.

Kevin: (Sighs)

Kevin: (Exhales deeply) There's nothing to be afraid of. Nothing to be afraid of. (Sighs) Delia's back with Chloe. And I'm gonna be with them both soon. (Sighs)

Daniel: (Sighs)

Billy: So how'd it go?

Daniel: I told Vicki I'd sign papers, you know? What--whatever it takes to make sure you guys keep the baby.

(Knock on door)

Billy: Comin'.

(Clears throat)

Phyllis: Hey, hi.

Billy: Hey, Phyllis.

Phyllis: Um, I just wanted to see how Lucy was doing. What are you doing here, Daniel?
