Episode # 9629 ~ Victor Is Suspicious of Diane

Provided By Suzanne
Proofread By Emma

Radio: The police are searching for Sharon Newman who escaped from custody yesterday after being convicted of slaying Skye Lockhart Newman. Troopers in nearby states are on the lookout. The FBI and a Newman family spokesperson declined to comment.

(Doorbell rings)

Jack: Hey.

Nikki: Hey.

Jack: I was hoping maybe Nick had heard from Sharon.

Nikki: Oh, well, he headed out last night following Adam. If anybody might know where she is, it'll be him.

Jack: Well, I certainly hope that pays off. Meantime, you're looking after the kids?

Nikki: Um, Summer is vacationing with a friend, so it--it's just Faith and me. Noah's upstairs saying good-bye to her right now.

Jack: Saying good-bye? He's leaving already?

Nikki: He's been trying to get out since last night. All the flights to New York were canceled because of the storms.

Noah: (Sighs)

Jack: How's it going, Bud?

Noah: Okay. It'll be good to get home, though.

Jack: You sure this is a good time for you to be leaving, not knowing where your mother is?

Noah: Well, the way I see it, this was Mom's decision. Maybe what happened to Skye was an accident, but running from the law wasn't. I'm not gonna put my whole life on hold because of Mom's lousy judgment.

Adam: You're almost home free, Baby. We will be together soon, okay? Just hang in there. Sharon? We are still meeting in Sedona, right?

Sharon: (Sighs) Yeah. (Sniffles) Sedona, yeah. I'll be there.

Adam: Okay. Where are you now?

Sharon: (Sighs) In New Mexico... in my car on the side of the road somewhere. Just... I feel like I've been running for days.

Adam: Look, I don't want you driving like this-- upset and--and--and tired. Why don't you just try and find someplace and--and--and pull over?

(Muffled and indistinct)

Phyllis: Can you make anything out?

Nick: Shh! Shh, shh, shh.

Adam: (Indistinct)

Nick: I can't understand a word he's saying, can you?

Adam: (Loudly) Sharon, say something.

Sharon: Uh, yeah. Um, there's a motel up ahead.

Adam: (Sighs) Okay. Can--can--can you see the name of the motel?

Sharon: Um, Shuteye. The Shuteye Motel. It's, um, off Route 40.

Adam: Okay, Shuteye Motel, Route 40, somewhere in New Mexico. Okay, I will come find it, and I will find you, okay?

Sharon: Um... (Sniffles) Yeah. I'll be there.

Adam: I know you are under a lot of pressure. You are doing great, okay? Just hang in there. Everything is gonna work out. It's all--it's all playing right into our hands. Just--just hang in there, okay? And don't ever forget, I love you.

Sharon: I love you, too.

Adam: Okay, listen, don't hang up. I-- (Phone hangs up) Sharon?

Sharon: (Sniffles)

Adam: (Sighs)

Ashley: You know, that was such a beautiful wedding.

Tucker: Uh-huh.

Ashley: Sofia and Malcolm seem so happy.

Tucker: Yeah, you know, when I was walking her down the aisle...

Ashley: Mm-hmm.

Tucker: I couldn't stop thinking about that young go-getter I hired right out of college. She's really come into her own.

Ashley: You're so cute.

Tucker: What?

Ashley: Well, you know, it's such a treat.

Tucker: What? Dancing?

Ashley: No, seeing you get all sentimental.

Tucker: Don't get used to it.

Ashley: (Laughs)

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Ashley: What's that?

Tucker: Oh, that's just a reminder, uh, from my assistant...

Ashley: Uh-huh.

Tucker: That I have a conference call with Japan.

Ashley: Sure you do.

Tucker: I do.

Ashley: I knew it was too good to be true.

Tucker: Well, we're gonna meet at the club.

Ashley: Mm-hmm.

Tucker: We're gonna do it over a laptop. You want to join us?

Ashley: Mm, no, you go ahead. There's something I need to take care of.

Tucker: What, at the office?

Ashley: Mnh-mnh. It's personal. I'm heading out to the ranch.

Tucker: Oh. What's goin' on out there?

Ashley: You know, you go ahead, and I'll catch up with you a little later, okay? I'll see you soon.

Tucker: (Sighs)

Diane: You gonna knock off soon?

Victor: Uh, I don't think so.

Diane: I was hoping to spend a little time with my husband.

Victor: Um, yeah. I'm working.

Diane: We've been dancing around this for days, so... (Clears throat) In the interest of full disclosure, I'm gonna come clean.

Victor: Come clean about what?

Diane: You know about what. About Nick and me. When I first came back to Genoa City, we had dinner a few times together. We were both single parents. Our kids went to the same school. It seemed like we might have some things in common. But it didn't amount to anything. And now I'm married to you. But I'm bound to run into Nick here or at the school, and I-I ca--I can't pretend that we don't know each other. Victor, I really want this marriage to work. And, uh, if that's gonna happen, then we have to be honest with each other. So that's what I'm doing. There were a few dates.

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Diane: But all of it ended after Valentine’s Day. There is nothing for you to be concerned about in the least.

Victor: (Sighs)

Diane: Mm-hmm.

Victor: I appreciate you being honest with me, and I'm glad we... cleared the air.

Diane: I am, too.

Victor: Good.

Diane: So what do you say I run out and, um, pick up some dinner for the two of us?

Victor: That's a hell of an idea.

Diane: Yeah. Kyle's staying a-at Dylan's tonight, so...

Victor: Mm.

Diane: We could have a romantic evening.

Victor: (Laughs)

Diane: (Laughs) What would you like me to bring home for you?

Victor: Well, I don't know. Um, surprise me.

Diane: I can do that.

Victor: All right.

(Front door closes)

Victor: My wife is leaving the grounds. I want you to follow her and tell me where she's going, all right? Thank you.

Man: Bathroom's right through there. Will you be needin' anything else?

Sharon: Um, do you have any maps of Arizona? I'm--I'm supposed to be meeting my fiancé in Sedona, and I-I spilled coffee on mine.

Man: I'll take a look in the office, see what I got.

Noah: I mean, can you blame me for being upset with her?

Jack: No, not in the slightest.

Noah: (Sighs)

Jack: But with all that your family's going through right now, I--

Noah: That's exactly why I need to get out of here. Things are happening for me in New York. And if I stay here and get mired down in all this... that's not what I want with my life.

Jack: And when they find your mom and bring her back to jail?

Noah: Then I will come back and face her, but until then, I need space.

Nikki: Honey, I have been there. I know just what you're going through.

Jack: Look, needing space is one thing, as long as you don't feel like you need to run away.

Noah: I'm not running from anything. I'm running towards something.

Nikki: Exactly. Uh, he needs to do what's right for himself.

Noah: Thank you for understanding, Grandma.

Nikki: I do.

Noah: Look, I mean, a part of me is like, "It's your mom. How can you just take off?" I mean, she read to me when I was a kid and gave me advice on girls. She sat up with me that night I fell through the ice. But then she's convicted of killing her boyfriend's wife and escaping through a bathroom window. And I'm like, "Who is this person?" I don't even recognize her.

Jack: I hear you. Take care of yourself, will you?

Noah: I'll try.

Sharon: (Thinking) "Dear Noah, I can't stop thinking about the last words we said to each other when you saw me in jail-- not because I was hurt by them, because you were right. The past couple of years, I've let you down terribly... you and a lot of other people. I'm praying that you won't let that stop you from living the life that you were meant to live. Go back to New York. Follow your dreams. Be amazing, and whatever happens, I hope you won't ever feel that you were responsible for any of this."

Victor: Well, I'm glad you had that bottle left. I'll be damned. That's my wife's favorite, you know. Thank you very much. Thank you.

Tucker: Oh, that's the '02-- phenomenal year. You have excellent taste in wine.

Victor: My lawyer passed along your message.

Tucker: A good man, reliable. I like that.

Victor: Mm-hmm. I have a message for you-- when you bought my son Adam's stock options, you crossed the line.

Adam: (Loudly) Yeah, hi, uh, listen, uh, I need to get off this island tonight. Yeah, how can we make that happen?

Phyllis: He's going to meet Sharon. Let's get dressed.

Nick: Yeah, okay.

(Cell phone vibrates)

Nick: What's up?

Diane: Well, the, uh, the junior class play is, uh, tomorrow night at Walnut Grove. Kyle's going with a friend, but I thought maybe Summer would want a ride if you had to stay with Faith.

Nick: Summer's away for spring break.

Diane: Oh, uh, right.

Nick: Is that it?

Diane: About yesterday-- I really don't like the way we left things, and I was hoping you'd give me a chance to apologize.

Phyllis: Who is that? Is something wrong with Summer? Who is that?

Diane: Is--is that Phyllis?

Tucker: I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy, Victor. You know, I would have thought you'd welcome anyone who appreciates the value of what you built.

Victor: Let me tell you something, Tucker McCall, if you think you're going to swallow up Newman Enterprises the way you did Chancellor Industries, you have a surprise in store. It'll hit you when you least expect it-- a surprise from me to you. This is your one... and only warning.

Tucker: Well, now. That's very sporting of you, Newman. You have a good evening.

Victor: The same to you, Tucker.

Nikki: Oh, my goodness, it's our day for visitors, isn't it?

Faith: (Babbles)

Nikki: (Gasps) Who's at the door? Who is it? (Gasps) Ashley.

Ashley: Hi, Nikki. Hi, Sweetie. How are you? It's so good to see you.

Nikki: Well, come on in.

Ashley: Thank you. Hi, Baby.

Nikki: (Chuckles) What can I do for you?

Ashley: Uh, I heard about Sharon, and I just wanted to come by and ask Nick if there's anything I can do to help.

Nikki: Well, he followed Adam down to the Caribbean. It's a possibility that...

Ashley: Hi, Sweetie.

Nikki: Sharon and Adam will be hiding out together.

Ashley: You're kidding me. Just when I thought she couldn't do anything to make her situation any worse.

Nikki: I know. I have no idea what's going on in her head.

Ashley: (Sighs) I'm just around, and if there's anything I can do for the girls, or if you need some helping watching them, you know, I'm just a phone call away.

Nikki: Oh, well, that's-- that's very sweet, but, uh, between Victoria and me, I think we've got it, but thank you.

Ashley: Um, I wasn't implying that you didn't have the situation under control. I can understand why you'd be cautious. But, um, this isn't about me and--and what I want. It's about Faith and what she needs. And, uh, her mommy's gone, her dad's away, and I'm sure it's a really confusing time for a little girl.

Nikki: Yes, and we don't want to make it any more confusing for her.

Ashley: I know. Of course we don't. I'm just volunteering my help. And, um, you know, I'm sure you know that Faith needs love more than anything right now, and... we've had our differences, but I'm sure we can both agree on that, right?

Nikki: You're absolutely right, Ashley. When Nicholas comes home, I will extend your offer. I know he will appreciate it.

Ashley: Thank you.

Sharon: (Thinking) "My dearest Faith, you're going to hear a lot of terrible things about me. Many of them are true."

Sharon: (Thinking) I fought so hard to bring you into this world as peacefully as possible, surrounded by calm, love... but instead, there was heartache and terrible loss." (Thinking) "I wish I could go back and do things over. Sadly, I can't. I made my choices. I've ruined my life all by myself. You're better off with your daddy now. He'll dry your tears and he'll kiss your boo-boos and he'll bring you up to be the beautiful young woman I know you'll be one day. Just remember, Faith, no matter what happens or what people say, your mommy will always, always love you. You're my precious angel... and I'll be yours, too." (Sobs quietly)

Nick: Okay, it's not about Summer, all right? Just give me a second. Sorry. You still there?

Diane: Nick, what-- what's going on?

Nick: We followed Adam to St. Martin, thinking that he would lead us to Sharon.

Diane: You and Phyllis? She's with you in the Caribbean?

Nick: Okay, look, I can't talk about this right now, all right? Thank you so much for calling, and I appreciate you apologizing. It means a lot to me.

Diane: No problem. Uh, we'll talk soon, and good luck.

Adam: All right, that's it. Now go back to your room.

(Door opens)

Adam: All right, shut the door. Good. Now stay there.

Adam: Hi, uh, it's Adam Newman in 517. Concierge, please. Hey, uh, listen. I, uh, need to borrow your bellhop for a few hours. Right, uh, I think his name was Peyton. Yeah, look, just-- just tell him that I will-- I will pay double his salary. Uh, I just need his help for the next few hours.

(Muffled and indistinct)

Nick: Did you hear anything?

Phyllis: No, nothing. It's all muffled.

Nick: I'm gonna use the restroom.

Phyllis: (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Phyllis: Hey.

Jack: Finally. Where have you been? I've been leaving messages for you all day. You could give a guy a complex, you know?

Phyllis: (Chuckles) Um, no, I'm--I'm sorry. I'm following a lead on a story right now.

Jack: Well, you think you could follow it to Gloworm? I could sure use the company.

Phyllis: Uh, I'm sorry. Um, I'm actually out of town. Uh, I'll be back soon.

Jack: Out of town, where?

Phyllis: I-I-- you know what, Jack? I'm up to my eyeballs in this. Let me call you back. I-I'll call you back soon.

Diane: Bad news? The call. You look a bit rattled.

Jack: Where's your shadow?

Diane: I'm picking up dinner for Victor and me. I imagine you're here to drink yours again. But at least tonight, you have a good excuse for being alone.

Jack: Whatever that means.

Diane: Just that I know Phyllis is in the Caribbean with Nick-- St. Martin, to be exact.

Jack: I am aware that Phyllis is out of town.

Diane: Ahh. But you didn't know where or with whom.

(Cell phone rings)

Victor: Yes? She's at Gloworm? All right, you keep an eye on her, all right? No, no. I just want to make sure that she gets home safely. Thank you.

Nikki: Anybody home?

Victor: I'm in here. Oh.

Nikki: Hi.

Victor: Well, look at that.

Nikki: (Laughs)

Victor: Look at that. Look how pretty. Come here. Oh, look how pretty.

Nikki: Yes.

Victor: Ohh, what a pretty skirt you have on there. Look at that.

Nikki: Yes, she is.

Victor: Yes, look at that. Yes. Yes.

Nikki: Well, I'm staying at the tack house watching Faith while Nicholas is off tracking Adam.

Victor: There. There. I didn't know he was out of town.

Nikki: It came up very suddenly.

Victor: Mm.

Nikki: We'll see what comes of it.

Victor: Hi, Baby. Hi, Baby. Hi, Baby. Hi, Baby.

Nikki: Anyway, Ashley was over. She got me to thinking how much you must miss your granddaughter, so here we are.

Victor: Yes, yes.

Nikki: But I-I'm sure you have other plans, so...

Victor: No, no, no, no. Why don't you, uh, just stay? You and the baby stay for a while. Diane won't be back for a little while, okay? I'd like that.

Adam: (Quietly) Okay, so that's the plan. So just do exactly as I say, and just follow my lead, all right? Any questions? All right. (Sighs) (Vibrates lips) Let's roll. (Door closes)

Adam: (Loudly) I'm catchin' the last ferry to St. Barths, so, uh, can you bring my bag downstairs? I'll meet you at the cab stand.

Peyton: Very good, Sir.

Adam: All right.

Jack: Phyllis is on assignment for "Restless Style." She doesn't not keep me apprised of her every move. Scotch, neat.

Diane: I think it's great that you can be so understanding.

Jack: Okay, go ahead. Have your fun.

Diane: What? I'm paying you a compliment.

Jack: No, you're not. You're trying to get a rise out of me. You were not around when they got divorced. Nothing is happening down there. Trust me. I am kind of curious, though, how you found out where they are.

Diane: Word's gettin' around.

Jack: Is that so?

Diane: I don't know what you're implying, Jack.

Jack: Mm, I ran into you and Nick at the park the other day. Now this? What's up between you and your new stepson?

Diane: (Laughs) There is nothing "Up" between Nick and me.

Jack: You sure about that?

Diane: Kyle and Summer are friends. They go to Walnut Grove together. I called Nick about the school play, and he happened to mention to me that he's away on a trip.

Jack: If you say so.

Diane: Please, I'm a newlywed. I'm only interested in Victor.

Jack: Yeah, I still can't for the life of me figure out why you would remarry a man that is that abusive.

Diane: Victor treats me like a queen.

Jack: Enjoy it while it lasts. But I'm surprised I have to tell you that, too.

Diane: Do you want to know why it will last? Because I am one of the few people in Victor's life who is actually kind to him and respectful and listens to him. I listen to his problems, and I-I comfort him when he needs a little sympathy.

Jack: Give the fly a little honey.

Diane: Best way to get what you want.

Jack: And what is it you want from Victor?

Man: Here's your order, Mrs. Newman. Should I charge that to your husband's account?

Diane: Please.

Jack: Well, there, I guess I just got my answer.

Diane: You might try spreadin' a little honey yourself, Jack. You never know what it'll get you.

Ashley: Did you finish your teleconference? How'd it go?

Tucker: Yeah, yeah, it went great. How'd things go at the ranch? Why were you there again?

Ashley: Oh, well, you know, have a seat. I-I'm sorry I was so-- I was so mysterious. I just, um, I wanted to check in with Faith.

Tucker: Well, did you, uh, did you get to spend any time with her?

Ashley: Oh, she's so cute. Oh, you know, even in spite of all the chaos that's going around her, she's still such a happy and sweet baby.

Tucker: Well, that's your influence, you know.

Ashley: Aw.

Tucker: It's those first few months that make all the difference.

Ashley: Thanks for saying so.

Tucker: Well, I'm stating a fact. A sorry excuse for a mother she's got now. She finds out her baby's alive. Then she decides Adam is more important, and she lets Nick take over. And now this. It just blows my mind. I will never understand any mother who could abandon her child that way, out of pure selfishness.

Ashley: I know. I don't understand it, either, although I can understand her desire to kind of run away from her problems, you know? I mean, I came very close to doing it myself-- taking Faith and leaving forever. Thank God you stopped me. You know that even then, you were able to get through to me? I guess if anything good happened from losing Faith... it brought you into my life.

Sharon: (Thinking) "Dear Adam..." whatever you've done in the past, you're a different person now. And whatever I've done... I'm not the same woman I used to be.  What I was gonna say is... I love you. (Thinking) "This is the hardest letter I've ever had to write. Before I met you, I thought love was a fairy tale-- happily ever after with a handsome prince. When that fairy tale crumbled, it nearly destroyed me. You taught me that love can be messy. It can be complicated. It can take you to places you never thought you'd go, give you strength to make the decisions you know need to be made, even if the rest of the world disagrees with them. That's why I need to write this letter, because as much as I love you, Adam... we can't be together."

Nick: There he is. There he is.

Adam: (Quietly) Now you know what to do, right? All right, let's go.

Phyllis: Oh, my gosh. We're losing him. We're losing him. Excuse me.

Phyllis: Excuse me.

Nick: Sor--sorry.

Phyllis: Thank you. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me, please.

(Ferry horn blows)

Nick: Sorry. Hey!

Phyllis: Wait. Adam! Adam!

Nick: You're not Adam. Where the hell did you get those clothes?

Peyton: That guy on the dock paid me a lot of money to wear them.

Phyllis: I cannot believe that Adam of all people-- Adam of all people duped us. Adam. Us.

Nick: I know. Hey. I need you to turn this boat around right now.

Ashley: Mm. I forgot to tell you. Just so you know, when Nick gets back into town, I'm gonna have a talk with him, because I want to be there for Faith as much as I can. No, no, no, no, no. I can handle it.

Tucker: Uh, I know you can handle it. Um, I'm just thinking, it could get a little tense right now with what's going on at Newman and Jabot.

Ashley: I don't care. I mean, poor Faith. Her mother's made a disaster of everything. She needs as much family as she can possibly get, and that is a far greater priority for me than business.

Tucker: All right. You do what you have to do. I'm behind you 100%.

Ashley: Mm, thank you. I really-- oh, no. No, no, no, no. You are not allowed in here. We are having a wonderful night, and no showdowns about Jabot. Don't.

Jack: I'm not here for a showdown. I'm here to call a truce.

Victor: Isn't that pretty? (Chuckles) Yes. Here. Watch. Okay. Okay. Over there. I've missed this, you know.

Nikki: Well, yes, I know you have.

Victor: It seems I rarely get to see my grandchildren. Come here, Baby. Come here.

Nikki: It's a shame, really. Your grandchildren have to suffer because of that damned arbitration.

Victor: I know. (Chuckles)

Nikki: They don't know what's going on.

Victor: There.

Nikki: And you're so good with them. It just breaks my heart that they don't get to see this side of their grandfather that I see.

Victor: Yes. Look at that. What are these? Aren't they pretty?

Faith: Keys. Keys.

Victor: Those are keys, yes. Want to drive my car?

Faith: Yeah.

Victor: Want to drive my car? Yeah?

Faith: Yeah.

Victor: Yeah. (Laughs)

Tucker: A truce, huh? You sure about that, Jack?

Jack: I need allies.

Ashley: And what, exactly, prompted that revelation?

Jack: Well, it hasn't exactly been a pleasant evening. Let's leave it at that. Bottom line is, you make my sister happy. I don't think the two of us should be fighting anymore. As someone said to me this evening, you catch more flies with honey.

Tucker: I couldn't agree more.

Ashley: Well, Jackie, you are just the, um, greatest brother ever.

Tucker: And any foe of Victor's is a friend, indeed.

Nikki: Yes, she is.

Victor: (Imitates car engine) You want to drive my car?

Diane: Hello, Sweetheart.

Faith: (Babbles)

Diane: I'm back.

Victor: Well, look at that. Look at that.

Diane: Oh, look who's here.

Victor: Yeah.

Diane: Hello there! Hi.

Victor: (Chuckles)

Diane: Hello, Nikki.

Nikki: Diane.

Diane: I didn't realize you'd be stopping by.

Nikki: Well, um... here, Sweetheart.

Victor: I'm so happy that Nikki brought Faith by so I could see her while her father Nicholas is out of town.

Diane: Nick's away? I didn't realize.

Victor: Aren't they pretty?

Diane: So will you be staying on the grounds then while he's gone?

Faith: (Babbles)

Victor: Want to drive my car?

Nikki: It's best for Faith to maintain her usual schedule.

Faith: Yeah.

Victor: You want to drive my car? (Imitates engine revving)

Faith: Yeah.

Diane: I'm sure that Nick will be back shortly, and things can get back to normal.

Victor: Oh, yes, yes, yes.

Nikki: Depending on how his trip goes, "Normal" could be stretching things.

Diane: I'll take your word for it.

Victor: You be careful. Come here, Sweetheart. You can't just walk away.

Diane: (Chuckles)

Nikki: Okay, it's almost this one's bedtime, and I see you two have dinner plans, so...

Victor: Oh, there we go.

Nikki: I'll be off.

Victor: Let me take you.

Diane: Okay, well, feel free to bring her back tomorrow, because Kyle and I would love to spend some time with her.

Victor: Okay, there. Whoops.

Nikki: Oh, lovely. Very gracious offer. Thank you.

Victor: Yes. Oh, yeah.

Faith: (Babbles)

Victor: You want to drive the car, I know.

Diane: (Laughs)

Victor: You want to drive my car. Come here.

Nikki: Okay. Here we go.

Victor: Let me take you to the door. Come here. There we go. Let me take you to the door. That's right. That's right. It was so nice that you were here. I was so happy to see you. That's right. There we go. There we go.

Victor: (Exhales slowly) Well, that was nice that you asked them to come over. That keeps things civil.

Diane: Well, I'm not worried about Nikki any more than you should be worried about Nick.

Victor: I've set dinner up over there. Do you like it? Hmm?

Diane: You know what?

Victor: What?

Diane: You know how you always say that one of the things you love about me is how impulsive I am?

Victor: What does that mean?

Diane: (Laughs)

Victor: What am I in for now? Hmm?

Diane: I know you went through some trouble, but, um...

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Diane: How about we go out instead?

Victor: How can I say no when you smile at me like that?

Diane: (Chuckles)

Victor: (Chuckles)

Diane: You...

Victor: Huh?

Diane: Can't.

Victor: I can't, can I?

Diane: Mnh-mnh.

Nick: You don't understand. This is an emergency. We need to go back.

Man: Sir, that's impossible.

Nick: Why? Why is it impossible?

Phyllis: Okay, wait, uh, please, Nick. Uh, I just, um, so when we get to St. Barths, uh, when can we get the next ferry back?

Man: This is the last one in either direction until morning.

Phyllis: So wait a second. You're saying that we're stuck here overnight?

Adam: My jet to the United States ready? Great. I'll be there in 20.

Sharon: (Gasps)

Man: Oh. Sorry to startle you. I have that map you wanted.

Sharon: Oh, uh, thank you. Although I really don't, um... never mind. Um, here. Uh, I'm just on my way out, and I'm kind of in a hurry.

Man: You seem a little upset. You okay?

Sharon: I'm fine. I just--I can't talk right now. I-I gotta go. (Sighs)

Sharon: (Voice cracks) I'm so sorry, Adam. I'll never forget you.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Woman: Out of the car, now!

Sharon: (Gasps)

Diane: So if anybody around here needs to come clean, it's you.

Phyllis: (Sighs) Indeed, and so do other people.
