Episode # 9595 ~ Loyalties are Tested in the Newman Family
Provided By Suzanne
Proofread By Emma
Jack: Well, Victor. Never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I'm glad I ran into you. I wanted to thank you.
Victor: What are you talking out?
Jack: I didn't think you'd know what I was talking about. You thought when you moved Diane into your house, you'd steal my son. The plan backfired. Kyle will be living with me now.
Victor: That's a pity. He should be living with his mother, you know.
Jack: Oh, he will be eventually, once she remembers what you're capable of doing to people you claim to care about. And that should happen pretty soon, huh?
Victor: I bet you're talking about that blurry image on that supposed video that was taken on the volcano the night that Skye Lockhart died. Is that it?
Jack: You know about that.
Victor: Do you honestly think I wouldn't find out?
Jack: Phyllis.
Victor: Whatever you think you have, Jack, it ain't nothin'.
Nick: Yeah, I meant what I said earlier. I'm not backin' out of the lawsuit.
(Knock on door)
Nick: Yeah, I'll-- look, there's somebody at my door. I'll call you in the morning, okay? Bye.
Diane: We can't avoid each other forever.
Nick: (Sighs) Well, not if you keep showin' up at my door.
Diane: Can I come in?
Billy: Everything good with Nick?
Victoria: Oh, yes. He's still on board with the lawsuit.
Billy: Good.
Victoria: (Sighs)
Billy: Then you can stop worrying.
Victoria: Yeah. About the suit anyway.
Billy: Oh, come on. What else is there? You've got a stud for a husband. You've got a beautiful little baby. Life is pretty perfect right now, wouldn't you say? Wouldn't you say? Right, Lucy?
Victoria: Tell him "I haven't been christened yet, Daddy. No, I haven’t."
Billy: Okay, christening-- we can do a christening. What do we need? What do we need? We need a church, and we need a minister.
Victoria: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Billy: And we need some hors d'oeuvres. (Silly voice) Some hors d'oeuvres.
Victoria: Um, we also... we need Godparents.
Billy: (Normal voice) Minor detail. Who do you have in mind, huh? (Pops lips)
Victoria: Well, I was thinking...
Billy: (Laughs)
Victoria: Nick for the godfather.
Billy: Yeah? Yeah?
Victoria: And for the godmother, I was thinking... Abby.
Billy: Abby? Are you serious?
Abby: Now Nick has joined the lawsuit. I-I want to stick with my brother and sister, but it just doesn't feel right. It's like three against one.
Daniel: That’s a fair fight if the one is Victor.
Abby: Well, you wouldn't say that if you had seen him. He was super sweet, and he made me a un-freaking-believable offer.
Daniel: But if you take his money, you gotta play by his rules.
Abby: If I don't take it, I could lose him.
Phyllis: Oh, good. (Sighs) Hey, I knew I'd find you here.
Daniel: Lucky me.
Phyllis: (Sighs) Listen, um, I've been thinking of the discussion we had the other day about you wanting a-a role in your daughter’s life.
Daniel: Yeah, uh, I've been thinking a lot about it, too.
Phyllis: I've been thinking a lot about it. I've been thinking a lot. I want to help you with this, okay? We have to find her.
Neil: (Sighs)
Malcolm: Sofia get there yet?
Neil: Uh, uh, yeah, you know, Lily said she made the twins dinner, gave them both a bath, and put 'em down. Thanks.
Malcolm: Yeah. You got it, Bro. I guess she's really tryin' to help, huh?
Neil: Yeah, she's doin' it. How are things with you two?
Malcolm: (Chuckles) Don't keep your tux on hold.
Neil: All right, hold on. Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Now I-I know you're upset with her for coverin' up Cane's lies, but don't you think you're bein' just a little bit too hard on her, you know?
Malcolm: (Sighs) I know.
Neil: I mean, she is helpin' out your family.
Malcolm: Man, that's real easy for you to say. I mean, you're not the one in love wit her.
Sofia: Are you sure you don't want me to spend the night?
Lily: Yeah, I'm--I'm fine. I'm just gonna finish folding these and then go to bed.
Sofia: Okay, well, if you change your mind, promise me you'll call me on my cell, okay?
Lily: Okay, I will.
Sofia: I mean, I will come right back.
Lily: (Chuckles)
Sofia: You know what? It would help if I actually had my cell.
Lily: (Laughs) Okay.
Cane: Lily.
Sofia: (Sighs) Okay, I'm all set. Have a good night. Lily
Jack: You won’t be able to weasel your way out of this one the way you normally do. We have proof that you were on that volcano the night that Skye died.
Victor: I had nothing to do with Skye Lockhart’s getting killed.
Jack: You convinced her or blackmailed her into helping you frame your son for murder.
Victor: She got involved with Adam. It cost her.
Jack: My God. You are one self-righteous bastard.
Victor: You can't touch me, Jack, not with that bogus video you claim you have. You ain't got nothing.
Nick: I'll read the briefs before arbitration tomorrow, and I'll call you in the morning, Leslie. Okay. Bye.
Diane: Busy man. It sounds like carpooling could help both of us if you still want to do it.
Nick: Well, Summer does love hanging out with Kyle.
Diane: I just wanted to let you know that Kyle’s gonna be living with Jack. It's on the way to school, so it shouldn't be too much trouble.
Nick: So I'm guessing Jack wasn't too thrilled about you moving in with my dad.
Diane: I agreed to let Kyle live with Jack.
Nick: Oh, okay. So Kyle’s gonna miss out on all the perks that the ranch has to offer and then move back before he has a chance to unpack. You are a pro at getting what you want.
Diane: Like you... joining your sisters in the lawsuit against your father.
Nick: What about it?
Diane: I just can't help wondering... does that have anything to do with me.
Malcolm: Look, Man, I don't need you to tell me how to deal with my woman, all right?
Neil: I just wish that you could see things from her point of view.
Malcolm: You know, I'm trying to, okay? I-I'm telling myself every day that--that I'm being too hard on her, that I should forgive her, and then that overwhelming feeling takes over, like my insides are being kicked in because she played me.
Neil: Malcolm, okay, I'm not arguing with you that she shouldn't have said something about Blake blackmailing Cane.
Malcolm: You're damn straight she should have.
Neil: Well, she made a mistake. I mean, how long are you gonna punish her for that?
Malcolm: Wh-what you think? This is something I can put some kind of time frame on? Like, oh, oh, like, "It's gonna be cool in two weeks. Neil, give me two more weeks, and I think I'll be all right."
Neil: No, now that's not what I'm saying, and you know that. You--you--by dragging this out, it's not fair to Sofia. Here--here's the deal, okay? Either work it out or end it.
Malcolm: Yo, Man, who the hell are you to tell me how to run my life, huh?
Neil: Hey, n-now you know that's not what I'm trying to do here.
Malcolm: No. Yes, it is. It's what you always trying to do. You try to run my life, Man. Well, it's not goin' down this time, all right?
Neil: Okay. All right. Walk away like you usually do.
Malcolm: Look, Man, what happens between me and my woman is between us. That's our business. So you need to mind yours and stay the hell out of it!
Sofia: Did you see Cane again like at the cemetery?
Lily: Um, no. It--it was just the wind.
Sofia: I wish you'd let me stay the night.
Lily: It's not necessary.
Sofia: If you need anything, just call me.
Lily: I promise.
Sofia: Okay.
Billy: Okay.
Victoria: Drink up.
Billy: Uh-huh, you think if I have enough of these, then, uh, Abby being Lucy's godmother is gonna seem reasonable, right? Hmm?
Victoria: No, I just think that it will help you calm down enough to realize and to weigh the option as to why I think Abby is the best choice.
Billy: Yeah, I have an idea what's behind your suggestion. Hi, you. Hi, you.
Victoria: She's my sister, Lucy's aunt.
Billy: Mm-hmm.
Victoria: Mm-hmm.
Billy: Mm-hmm
Victoria: Yeah.
Billy: And the idea that this might keep her on the lawsuit against Victor--that never crossed your mind at all, did it? Did it?
Victoria: Um, you know, it-- it might have crossed my mind just for like, you know, a brief moment.
Billy: This lawsuit's gonna be over eventually and, in fact being Lucy's godmother is a lifetime thing.
Victoria: That's exactly why I think Abby is the right choice.
Billy: Yeah.
Victoria: You know, my little sister just want a family to belong to, you know? And I hate to see her jumping through hoops trying to get that from my dad. I mean, she can try to do that, but it's not gonna last.
Billy: (Sighs)
Victoria: That's why I want her to be Lucy's godmother.
Billy: You know, it's just not fair.
Victoria: What's not fair?
Billy: The power you have over me, the way you're able to get to me all the time.
Victoria: (Gasps)
Billy: Ahh.
Victoria: Does that mean yes?
Billy: Yes, it means yes. Yes. Yes, it means yes.
Victoria: That means yes? Thank you so much! (Laughs)
Billy: You're welcome. (Mutters) Yeah.
Victoria: Come here. Mwah. Thank you.
Billy: Mm, yeah.
Victoria: Okay, so let's go-- let's go tell her now. Do you want to? I'll drive.
Billy: Okay. Yes. Yeah. Okay.
Victoria: 'Cause I know-- yeah, all right, so...
Billy: (Stammers) You know, about--about the godfather--
Victoria: Yeah, I think Nick is, like, a great, great choice.
Billy: Yeah, great. He--Nick's great, but, you know, I was thinkin' more of Jack, actually. I was thinkin' Jack.
Victoria: Well, no. Well, I know. Jack's great, too, but he's--he's not--I mean, he's not, like, the greatest.
Billy: Well, frankly, if it's a matter of degrees, I think Jack is the better choice for godfather. I mean, come on. Nick?
Victoria: Well, okay, well, we'll just talk about it in the car.
Billy: Great, greater, greatest-- what's there to discuss?
Victoria: The most greatest.
Billy: (Sighs)
Victoria: Come on. Let's go.
Billy: Let's go. (Silly voice) Come on. Let's go!
Phyllis: I know you asked me not to take any time off, but if we're going to find Daisy, it's gonna take all of our attention.
Daniel: I-I can handle that. I mean, you shouldn't have to waste any of your time.
Phyllis: No, no, no, no. Absolutely I'm gonna be there.
Jack: Excuse us, please. We need to talk now.
Phyllis: Ow. Ow! Okay, I'll-- I'll see you in a sec.
Sofia: Oh, I thought Malcolm was gonna be here. He said he was dropping by.
Neil: Well, yeah, Malcolm--he was here. Just ask the neighbors.
Sofia: (Scoffs) Don't tell me you got in an argument.
Neil: You mean, uh, another argument?
Sofia: (Scoffs)
Neil: Yeah.
Sofia: Please... (Chuckles) Don't tell me it was about me.
Neil: Well, now hold on, Missy. We were arguing, uh, long before you came into the picture. No offense.
Sofia: (Laughs)
Neil: Hey, uh, how-- how did things go with Lily? Is she all right? Sit down.
Sofia: Uh, well, she was great...
Neil: Yeah.
Sofia: The whole time I was there, but then just when I was about to leave, she...
Neil: She--she what?
Sofia: She looked like she'd seen a ghost.
Neil: Like at the cemetery.
Sofia: By the time I left, she seemed okay again. I wouldn't have gone if she hadn’t.
Neil: I know that. I-I've seen how you interact with Lily, you know, and it--it's obvious how much you care about her. That means a lot to me.
Sofia: (Sighs) Yeah, well, I-I wish Malcolm felt the same way.
Neil: (Sighs) Malcolm--now there's a guy who has a real, uh, problem dealing with people who keep secrets, right?
Sofia: (Sighs) Tell me about it.
Neil: But he always comes around. He always comes around.
Sofia: (Sighs)
Victoria: Hello, everybody.
Malcolm: Hey.
Abby: Ooh... how is my gorgeous niece?
Billy: She's great. She's fantastic. She's gorgeous. She's amazing.
Abby: (Laughs)
Billy: (Chuckles)
Victoria: Uh, let's sit down. I wanted to--to talk to you about something.
Abby: Okay, well, this, uh, sounds-- sounds serious.
Victoria: No, it-- well, it is serious, but it's--it's a good serious.
Abby: Okay.
Victoria: (Sighs) Well, as you know, Nick and I, um, we've always had each other. We didn't really grow up together, but we've just always had a bond and you came along later, so we weren't exactly as close to you. I feel like over the past few months, I've really gotten to know you, and I've seen how strong you are and how big your heart is and how important family is to you.
Abby: (Chuckles) Okay. I-I feel like I'm being nominated for an award here. (Laughs)
Victoria: No, you're not being nominated for an award. I would very much like you to be Lucy’s godmother.
Abby: Really?
Victoria: Yes, really. Will you do it?
Abby: Um, what do you think, Daniel?
Daniel: I-I think that that decision is up to you.
Abby: (Laughs)
Daniel: Um, if you guys don't mind, I-I got someplace that I gotta be. (Clears throat)
Victoria: Please say you'll do it.
Abby: Yes! Of course I'll do it, yes.
Victoria: Yes? Yes! Oh!
Jack: So you told Nick...
Phyllis: Yes, yes, yes.
Jack: Who told Victor, the one person we didn't want to find out about the video.
Phyllis: Listen, I had to tell Nick what his father did. He had to know.
Jack: We don't even know that that's Victor on the video.
Phyllis: Oh, of course it's Victor. Of course it's Victor. He was there when Skye died. He knows Adam didn't kill her. He knows Sharon didn't kill her. He's willing to let two people go down for a murder they didn't commit. This is my daughter's grandfather. I had to tell Nick.
Jack: (Stammers) Yu could have been vague like I was with Sharon.
Phyllis: W--you told Sharon?
Jack: She knew we were going to Hawaii. She was gonna have questions.
Phyllis: Oh, so that makes it okay?
Jack: I didn't tell her what we had.
Phyllis: But she just had to know. Oh, my God, Jack.
Jack: Look, she wasn't gonna run to Victor with the information. You knew Nick would, and you told him anyway.
Phyllis: Yes, I told him, because my desire to protect my daughter is way more important than your personal vendetta toward Victor.
Nick: I hate to put a dent in that ego of yours, but my decision to join the lawsuit against my dad had nothing to do with you.
Diane: Are you sure about that?
Nick: Why would I risk my whole future on a meaningless fling?
Diane: To get back at me.
Nick: Diane, if wanted to get back at you, trust me, you would know about it.
Diane: Not only are you lying to me, you're lying to yourself.
(Windows banging)
Cane: Lily.
Lily: (Gasps) Cane! (Sighs) Oh, Cane.
Victor: Made up your mind about my offer?
Abby: It's a lot of money. (Sighs) And you know the lawsuit wasn't really about that. I just wanted your respect.
Victor: You have that, Sweetheart, okay?
Abby: Yeah, and now I have something else, too. I-I have a real relationship with my sister. Victoria asked me to be Lucy's godmother. She said that I'm someone that Lucy could look up to.
Victor: You are.
Abby: And now it just complicates things, you know? I'm feeling pulled in two different directions, and no matter which one I choose, I just-- I don't want to lose either of you.
Victor: Have you thought that perhaps Victoria knew that when she made her offer?
Neil: Okay, right. We could run, uh, uh, 24-hour shifts and the workers at the shutdown plants could commute.
Sofia: That way, nobody's out of work. McCall only pays higher taxes on those two properties, and everyone's happy.
Neil: Okay, I see where you're going. So once the assessments are done you make the other improvements, go back to business as usual.
Sofia: Problem solved. Bam. (Laughs)
Neil: Whoa, "Bam" is right. Thank you so much for your advice on that.
Sofia: Oh. We make a good team. You know, a while ago, I never would have thought that.
Neil: Yeah, me, neither. I guess I misjudged you.
Sofia: You know, maybe I, uh, misjudged you, too, Neil.
Neil: What?
Sofia: Except for your gravy-making skills.
Neil: Oh, wait.
Sofia: I mean, your gravy-making skills-- oh, my gosh, you need a little cayenne pepper in there. (Laughs)
Neil: No. No, no. You didn’t. Okay. Now you--you know I got skills in the kitchen. You know that, right? (Laughs) Hey, Sofia... (Clears throat) All kidding aside, um... can I tell you something?
Sofia: Sure.
Neil: You know, uh, these last few days, weeks, you know, with... it's been really strange, you know? Life's been upside down. Cane dying, Lily's issues, and... you--you've remained steadfast all the way through. And I-I really appreciate that, honestly. And I-I-I just-- I want you to know that I... (Stammers) I don't know why I'm--I'm-- I'm telling you this. I... I think you’re beautiful inside... and out.
Sofia: Mm.
Sofia: (Sighs)
Cane: Lily.
Lily: (Gasps) Cane? (Breathing heavily)
Daniel: Lily? Lily? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on, it's gonna be okay. Let's go inside. Let's go inside. Come on.
Billy: Hey, look. Jack's here. We can ask him to be godfather.
Victoria: Well, hold on. I thought we decided on Nick.
Billy: No, you decided on Abby. I decided on Jack.
Jack: Hey, Kids, what's up?
Billy: Oh, lots.
Victoria: Nothing.
Jack: Well, you two work that out. I need to ask Malcolm a question. Do you got a minute?
Malcolm: (Chuckles) Yeah. (Laughs) Shoot, Brother.
Jack: Listen, I've got a video that needs enhancing. It's a little dark, a bit grainy. Do you know someone who could lighten it, maybe, uh, add some contrast? I just want to be able to see the person clearly who's in it.
Malcolm: Okay. Okay, yeah. Um, a buddy of mine is a forensic photographer. He usually does work for the police.
Jack: That would be great. I'd really appreciate it. This is important.
Malcolm: Yeah, no worries. No worries.
Abby: How could you say that Victoria was trying to bribe me when she asked me to be Lucy's godmother?
Victor: Sweetheart, it's just that the timing is a little suspicious. First my offer, then hers.
Abby: No, she doesn’t know about your latest offer.
Victor: No, but she knows that you're sitting on the fence about the lawsuit.
Abby: Don't you think I'd make a good godmother?
Victor: You'd make a wonderful godmother. But I am not so sure that's why Victoria made you the offer.
Abby: It's just, I've always felt like Victoria and Nick-- they’re--they're real Newmans, a-and I'm just the outsider. And when Vicki asked me to do this, you know, I-- for the first time, I feel like I really belong in this family.
Victor: You're as much a part of this family as Nicholas and Victoria, okay?
Abby: Thanks.
Victor: I know you'll make the right decision.
Abby: Thanks.
Diane: Hello.
Victor: Hey.
Diane: You're back early.
Abby: Um, you two are together?
Phyllis: Hello. Martini, dry, and keep the vodka close.
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: Hi.
Nick: Hello.
Phyllis: So I heard you, uh, joined Abby and Victoria's lawsuit against your father.
Nick: Are you just lookin' for your next story?
Phyllis: No. I'm not. If you want to talk about, you know... thank you.
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: Confronting your father about the video, you can talk to me.
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: That's why you're sitting here drinking alone, right?
Nick: I think you probably have your own problems to worry about, right?
Phyllis: (Sighs) Actually, I do, compliments of your father. I should have known-- the domino effect. I mean, I told you about the video. You told him. And Jack miraculously found out.
Nick: Now Jack's probably pissed at you. Maybe you should go talk to Jack instead of talking to me.
Phyllis: I should talk to Jack instead of you. (Sighs) It's so crazy. He doesn't really understand that I did that for Summer. He just is so hell-bent on getting back at Victor, bringing him to his knees. I just think it would lose its appeal after--
Nick: Look, look. I came here to get away from my problems, not listen to yours.
Phyllis: (Chuckles) Really?
Nick: Yeah.
Phyllis: Okay. I-I'm such an idiot. I-I just--I thought we were becoming friends. I'm so stupid. My mistake.
Nick: (Sighs)
Sofia: (Sighs)
Lily: I thought I heard a noise.
Daniel: I checked all around. There was nothing.
Lily: Yeah, it was probably just a branch against the window. Uh, what are you doing here?
Daniel: I thought you could use a friend.
Lily: Well, it seems like I'm not the only one. Do you want to talk about it?
Daniel: (Sighs) You got enough problems. You don't need to hear mine.
Lily: (Chuckles) No, please. Tell me. It will help take mind off my own. Besides, I would like to help if I can.
Daniel: I know where--where Daisy-- I know where my baby is.
Billy: Come on now.
Victoria: No, we can't pick Lucy's godfather this way. It's--it's like we're gambling with her future.
Billy: Okay, do you have a better idea?
Victoria: Yeah. Actually, I do.
Lily: Lucy Abbott is your daughter?
Daniel: They did a D.N.A. test, but I knew. I...
Lily: Well, how did she even end up with Billy and Victoria?
Daniel: I don't know. Uh, maybe... maybe Daisy left her at an adoption agency. Maybe she dropped her at a-- a fire station. I don't know.
Lily: Do you think they know?
Daniel: No. No. And I'm not gonna tell 'em.
Lily: Do you think that you're gonna be able to do that?
Daniel: You know, the second that I saw her, I-I had this... I don't know, this connection. A kid needs more than that. You know, they need a home, parents, and the whole "White picket fence" thing, and she's got all that right now. So I would be crazy to try and take that away from her. It would be really selfish of me.
Lily: Hey, it is not selfish to love your child.
Daniel: If I claim her, Daisy's gonna know where she is, so... things are just better the way they are. (Sighs) No one knows who Lucy is, and she'll never know, either.
Lily: Daniel, what you're doing is--
Daniel: No, no, what I'm doing is killing me. And not just trying to stay away from her, but lying to my friends, and lying to my family. I hate it.
Lily: You are giving your daughter such a gift.
Daniel: (Sighs) You have no idea what it feels like to... finally just tell someone that.
Lily: Can tell you something?
Daniel: Yeah, of course.
Lily: Um, I wasn't outside because I heard a noise. I heard Cane. He called my name.
Sofia: (Sighs)
Sofia: (Laughs)
Neil: What?
Sofia: Nothing. I just--
Neil: Huh?
Sofia: Nothing.
(Knock on door)
Neil: Yeah? Coming.
Neil: Hey.
Malcolm: Yo, what's up, Neil? Look, Man, I, uh...
Malcolm: Sofia, what are you doing here?
Diane: After your announcement on Valentine's Day, I thought everybody knew about this.
Abby: Oh, gross! Gross. I'm sorry, did I miss some huge, public coming-out?
Victor: Sweetheart, Diane and I are together. That's all.
Abby: Wow, 'cause, you know, that's funny. When I caught you in bed with Tucker, you sure didn't want anybody to know about that.
Victor: Abby.
Abby: (Scoffs)
Diane: I-I was at Tucker's office some months ago when that hurricane hit. And Abby misunderstood the situation.
Abby: Oh, this woman is using you, Dad, just like she tried to use Tucker.
Victor: Will you please stop it now? That's enough! We are together. That's as simple as it is.
Nick: (Sighs) Its cold out here.
Phyllis: Not as cold as it is inside.
Nick: I'm the jerk.
Phyllis: Yeah, you are.
Nick: Look, I'm havin' a bad day, all right? And I took it out on you. We are friends.
Phyllis: No. No, we're not friends. We are exes. We share a past. We share a daughter, and that's it. We don't share anything else. (Sighs)
Nick: I'm trying to apologize here. Will you cut me some slack?
Phyllis: I'm trying to cut you free. You shouldn't have to hear me complain about Jack... (Sighs) Just because I-I showed you the video of your dad. You shouldn't hear me complain about anything. You don't owe me anything for that. You--you don't owe me a damn thing, okay, Nick?
Nick: Hold on. Wait. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second.
Phyllis: I-I-I-I shouldn’t. We can’t. I-I-I shouldn't bother you with my problems.
Nick: Phyllis. Phyllis.
Phyllis: This is bad.
Sofia: Oh, I came by here looking for you.
Malcolm: Well, uh, you know, Neil and I, uh, well, I mean, I'm sure he told you already.
Sofia: Yes, you guys got in a fight.
Malcolm: Yeah, I just came back to tell you, uh, I'm sorry, Bro.
Neil: Um... (Sighs) You're not the one who should be apologizing, though.
Malcolm: It's cool, Man. You know, I-I know you were just trying to help.
Neil: No, but I, Malcolm, I-I went too far, so...
Malcolm: You ready to go, Baby?
Sofia: Sure.
Malcolm: Hey, Neil?
Neil: Huh?
Malcolm: You were right, Man. Sofia and I really do have a lot to talk about.
Malcolm: Thanks, Man.
Sofia: Good night.
Neil: Good night.
Malcolm: I love you, Man. I'll call you later.
Neil: Yeah, uh... (Whispers) I love you, too.
Daniel: (Exhales quickly)
Lily: The, um, babies are asleep.
Daniel: I, uh, checked around the house again. Nothing.
Lily: (Sighs)
Daniel: (Clears throat)
Lily: I don't know if that's good or bad. If there had been a prowler, you probably wouldn't think I'm crazy.
Daniel: No, Lily, you and Cane, you guys shared something, you know? Something that other people, they--they can only dream of. And a love like that, it doesn't just disappear when one of you has to leave this place.
Lily: It's almost like he hasn't left, like he doesn't want to let go any more than I do.
Daniel: Well, I don't blame him. You know, I can stay here if you want me to.
Lily: Will you? I'll set up the guest room. (Chuckles)
Daniel: No, guest room. I'll be fine right here on the couch. Go. Just get some sleep.
Lily: Okay, you, too.
Daniel: All right.
Lily: Good night.
Daniel: Good night.
Daniel: (Sighs)
Phyllis: Hey.
Jack: Hey. I came to say those three little words you love to hear.
Phyllis: (Chuckles) Well, don't let me stop you.
Jack: I was wrong.
Phyllis: (Chuckles)
Billy: Hey.
Victoria: Oh, oh.
Billy: There he is. Look, the man I was lookin' for.
Victoria: And the one I was looking for.
Jack: Wha--
Victoria: Eh, we have something to ask both of you.
Jack: Both of us?
Billy: Yeah, um...
Victoria: Yeah, you go first.
Billy: No, you go ahead.
Victoria: No, that's okay. You go ahead.
Billy: Well, no, we--
Victoria: It's okay. (Laughs)
Jack: Would one of you go, please?
Victoria: Will you be Lucy's godfather?
Billy: Would you like to be Lucy's godfather?
Nick and Jack: Yes.
Nick: For sure.
Victoria: Really? Oh, that's great! I knew you'd say yes.
Jack: Yes! Wow.
Billy: (Chuckles)
Jack: Thank you.
Billy: Thank you.
Victoria: Thanks, Jack.
Victor: My relationship with Diane changes nothing between you and me.
Abby: You want me to stop being immature and acting reckless, but you do whatever you want with whoever you want, no matter how it affects your family.
Victor: Now, Sweetheart, don't dictate how I live my life.
