Episode # 9579 ~ Nick Has a Change of Heart

Proofread By Emma
Lily: I knew that something was off. I just-- I didn't want to admit it. But I was an idiot for trusting you again.
Cane: Don't say that. That's not true. Don't--
Lily: Why? Why? Why? It--it's true. That night at the cabin, you said that you got hurt in the storm. But really, it was that Blake was responsible. It's like, I should have known that you were lying to me, because that's what you do.
Cane: I didn't want to scare you.
Lily: Right. So instead, you lied to me, because it's just so easy for you. It's like breathing.
Cane: No, no. No, no. I hate it. I hate it, Baby. I hate lying to you. Yeah.
Lily: You hate it? Well, it didn't stop you from doing it-- not that night, or when Blake came to this house, or when you passed him off as James Collier.
Cane: I was trying to protect you. I was trying to protect you.
Lily: No, instead, you destroyed us.
Cane: Where are you going? Where are you going?
Lily: I am going out with the twins. And when I come back, I want you gone... for good.
(Motorcycle engine revs)
Sofia: (Gasps) Aah!
Neil: Sofia! Sofia, are you all right? Here.
Sofia: (Gasps)
Neil: Somebody dial 9-1-1! Can you call the paramedics, please? Are you okay?
Sofia: Neil, I'm okay.
Malcolm: Baby. Baby
Sofia: I'm okay.
Malcolm: What happened? What happened, Baby? I heard you scream. What happened?
Sofia: It was a motorcycle. It was coming right at me. I-I thought it was gonna hit me, and I just jumped out of the way, and then he took off.
Man: Did you see the driver? Get the license plate? Notice anything about the bike?
Sofia: I don't know if it was a "He." It--it just happened so fast. I couldn't--I couldn't see anything. I couldn't tell you anything about the driver o-or the motorcycle.
Neil: All right.
Man: Did you see anything?
Malcolm: Tell me, Baby.
Sofia: Ow, ow. It was something--something about the driver. He had on a helmet. It had a decal or something like an evil face. It looked like a skull.
Jill: So... I was thinking we could do something completely different. Colin? Are you all right?
Colin: (Sighs) I'm sorry, Love. Yeah, go ahead.
Jill: Oh, okay. All right, so I thought something very simple and elegant...
Colin: Mm-hmm.
Jill: But very, very intimate.
Kyle: How much longer?
Diane: I'm nearly done.
Kyle: You said that an hour ago.
Victor: Hey, Kyle.
Kyle: Hey, Mr. Newman.
Victor: What happened? He all right?
Diane: Yeah, he's fine.
Victor: (Exhales deeply)
Diane: What about you? You don't look so good. Things not go well at the hearing?
Victor: Nicholas was awarded full custody.
Diane: I thought that would make you happy.
Victor: In some ways, it does. Faith does belong with her father. But to see a mother lose a child...
Diane: Sharon brought this on herself.
Victor: And I warned her many a time to stay away from that boy. Adam is no good. I knew it would lead to disaster. But now to see... to see Sharon charged with murder and see her lose her child, I tell you...
Diane: Today must have been painful for everyone.
Victor: My son was awarded custody, but... no one won today.
Diane: Um, you know, Victor, I just finished up some of these measurements, and I thought... (Clears throat) Maybe I'd just run them over to the contractor, so if--if you wouldn't mind, could you just sort of keep an eye on Kyle?
Victor: Sure.
Diane: He's pretty self-sufficient. Okay.
Victor: That's all right.
Diane: All right. Um, I'll be right back.
Victor: All right.
Diane: Thanks.
Nick: Okay. (Sighs) It's good to be home, huh? (Sighs)
Faith: Yeah.
Nick: Yeah. It is gonna be good.
Faith: (Babbles)
Nick: And Daddy promises you, he’ll take really good care of you. I promise.
(Knock on door)
Nick: (Gasps) Who's that? Let's go see. Okay.
Nick: Hi.
Diane: Hi. Hi.
Nick: Hey.
Diane: I heard what happened in court. Could you use a friend?
Nick: Definitely.
Adam: I'll start a fire. I'll get you warmed up. Maybe we could talk... or--or not, whatever you want.
Sharon: All I want is Faith.
Adam: Come here. Come here.
Malcolm: Sit.
Sofia: Thank you, Sweetie.
Neil: Here, you can take this chair.
Malcolm: Thanks, Bro.
Neil: Yep.
Neil: Sofia, are you all right?
Sofia: Oh, I'm fine.
Malcolm: (Sighs) Some idiot nearly ran her down on a motorcycle.
Jill: Oh, my God. Where did this happen?
Neil: In front of Jimmy’s.
Jill: Was he drunk?
Sofia: Oh, could be, or just reckless. But I tell you this, if I see a guy with a crazy skull on the side of his helmet, I'm gonna kick his butt.
Colin: Crazy skull?
Sofia: Yeah, it was on the side of his helmet. I mean, that's all I could say. The--the rest is all pretty much a blur.
Colin: Uh, listen, Love. I gotta take care of this. Um, I'll call you when I'm finished.
Jill: Okay. Take your time. I'll stay here with Sofia.
Sofia: I mean, it was...
Jill: (Sighs)
Colin: You get rid of that-- that helmet and you meet me at Jimmy’s. No. Now.
Blake: Yeah, I'll be right—
(Dial tone buzzes)
Blake: (Sighs) (Sighs)
Blake: Lily.
Lily: No, get away from me.
Blake: (Sighs) Come on. I thought we were friends.
Lily: No, you're not my friend. You're not Cane's, either. He told me that you came here to blackmail him.
Blake: All right, listen, you've had a chance to hear Cane's side of things. You have to hear mine.
Lily: No, I don’t.
Blake: Listen, just give me-- just give me a chance to explain. Once. Just--
Lily: Don't--don't touch me. Don't you ever touch me or come near me or my kids again. You understand?
Victor: Well, why don't you get back to me tomorrow? How's that? Yeah? We'll deal with it then, all right? Hello, Kyle.
Kyle: Oh, Mr. Newman. Hi. I was just waitin' for my mom.
Victor: Yeah? She's gone for a minute. She'll be back soon.
Kyle: Oh, I hope you don't mind me looking at these.
Victor: No, not at all. Go ahead. Feel free.
Kyle: Victoria's married to my Uncle Billy. I guess that kind of makes us related. Pretty cool, huh?
Victor: Yeah. (Chuckles) That is. You're right. It does.
Kyle: Since I've moved to the ranch, I haven't seen Victoria here. Doesn't she ever come to see you?
Victor: Uh, well, she used to. But some things have happened, and, um, she hasn't been here for a while.
Kyle: Oh, that stinks. You must miss her... and Reed.
Victor: I do a lot. Yep.
Kyle: Maybe the stuff that's been keeping you apart will be over soon.
Victor: Yeah. Hope so. Yep. (Purses lips) Let me ask you something. Have you ever gone snowmobiling?
Kyle: Yeah. Why?
Victor: Well, I've got two snowmobiles outside-- hot machines-- and they're waiting for two daredevil riders to take 'em out. What do you think?
Kyle: Totally!
Victor: Yeah?
Kyle: Can we race and do doughnuts in the snow?
Victor: Well, I think we can think about that if we are careful.
Kyle: (Chuckles) Totally.
Victor: So why don't you talk to Bonnie? She'll tell you where the snow gear is. I will change. Then we meet down here. How's that?
Kyle: This is gonna be so awesome.
Victor: All right. Cool. (Chuckles)
Diane: She asleep?
Nick: (Sighs) I think so. We'll see.
Nick: You know, I keep telling myself she's too young to understand what's going on. But she definitely knows that something is not right.
Diane: I hope you're not blaming yourself for that.
Nick: Whose fault it is is not important when your kids are hurting.
Diane: I remember when I left Genoa City with Kyle. He cried the whole flight like this... this piercing cry, like he was in such pain. And, of course, he-- he probably was. You know, his ears were probably killing him, but I... I had convinced myself that he was crying because I took him away from his father. I thought I was the worst mother in the world.
Nick: Kyle knows how much you love him.
Diane: And it was the right thing to do to take him away from here.
Nick: So no regrets?
Diane: Do I wish that I had done anything differently? Sure, I do. I didn't want to hurt Jack. Maybe in the very beginning. But in the end, it was all about Kyle, doing what was best for him. I've always tried to put that ahead of everything else, which isn't to say they're gonna nominate me for mommy of the year... (Laughs) Anytime soon, because...
Nick: (Chuckles) I don't know. Maybe they should.
Diane: (Laughs)
Nick: I mean, Kyle's a great kid, Diane. They don't just fall off the tree that way.
Diane: Well, neither did yours. Noah and--and Summer... you should be very proud. And Faith. Faith is gonna be okay, too.
Nick: Yeah. I still feel like she's being cheated out of something.
Diane: If she is, it isn't because of you. You are a good daddy. Don't let anybody tell you different.
Nick: (Sighs) I'm pretty sure I made a mistake.
Diane: With Faith?
Nick: With you, when I told you I thought we should just be friends.
Sharon: You hear that?
Adam: What?
Sharon: The silence. It's so loud.
Adam: It won't be silent like this forever. Faith will be back.
Sharon: Then you don't know Nick the way you think you do, or Victor.
Adam: Nicholas and Victor don't know me as well as they think they do. They don't know the lengths I'll go to to make sure you're happy.
Sharon: You know, I've taken everything that Nick threw at me. I stood up to him. I was a lot stronger than he ever thought I could be. I was stronger that I thought I could be. And he's finally done it. He knew if he took Faith--
Adam: Right, Sharon. That's right. He knocked you down. And you know what you do when you get knocked down? You get right back up, and you fight.
Sharon: I don't know if I can.
Adam: Well, I can. If Nicholas isn't gonna be rational about this, if he's not gonna use whatever intelligence he might or might not have in that little head of his in what's good for Faith or not, then I will take this fight to him. I will play his caveman games.
Sharon: What are you gonna do?
Adam: Nicholas likes to settle things with his fists, doesn't he? That's what I'll do. I'll do that, and maybe it wakes him up then, huh?
Sharon: No, Adam, don't do that.
Adam: Sharon, if I don't, what the hell am I supposed to do?
Sharon: If you really want to help, just be here with me.
Adam: (Sighs)
Adam: (Sighs)
Diane: Wh-what made you change your mind?
Nick: You did. Being away from you and being with you... I certainly prefer the latter.
Diane: And you-- you decided this in 12 hours?
Nick: Well, I'm kind of a slow learner.
Diane: (Laughs) H-how do I know that you won't change your mind again?
Nick: Convinced?
Diane: Not quite.
Nick: Oh, then maybe let me get another crack at that then.
Diane: No, no, no, no. No. That-- you're all very--you-- you're very good at all of that.
Nick: Mm.
Diane: But, um, you know, sometimes a girl wants more from a relationship.
Nick: Really?
Diane: Well, maybe we could find out if we have something else in common, you know? Just to see.
Nick: Cool. Let's do that. How about over dinner?
Malcolm: Well, I don't think that our mystery rider is local.
Sofia: Why would you say that? You don't think that--
Neil: (Sighs) All right, listen, Devon is fine. He's in bed in his New York hotel. (Sighs) I think I woke him up.
Jill: Wait. Wait a minute. Why are you worried about Devon?
Sofia: I don't think there's any need to be concerned. I think it's just a coincidence it happened tonight.
Jill: You think somebody did this on purpose?
Neil: Jill, what do you know about Cane and his dealings with Blake?
Jill: Cane told Katherine and me everything. I mean, about his family in Australia, about the blackmail. Wh--you don't think...
Neil: That Sofia's accident had something to do with Cane? Yeah, I do.
Sofia: (Sighs)
Malcolm: (Sighs)
Cane: (Sniffles) (Sighs)
Cane: (Sniffles)
Cane: (Sighs)
Cane: Hey, Charlie. Hey, Mattie. It's your daddy. I gotta go away for a little while, and, um, before I go, there's some things I want you to know.
Jill: Why would someone connected to Cane want to hurt you?
Sofia: Because I knew he was being blackmailed. But we don't know if what happened to me has anything to do with him.
Malcolm: No, no, no, no. I don't buy it for one second that the same day that Tucker cuts off Cane's pipeline to Blake, you get sideswiped by a motorcycle.
Sofia: We--we can't prove that it was Blake, and we don't know if it was intentional.
Neil: Well, hold on a minute. We--it doesn't mean that we're not right or that we shouldn't be extra careful, right?
Sofia: Right. So because I tried to help Cane, I have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life? Great. That makes me feel really great.
Malcolm: (Sighs)
Colin: I told you to lay low.
Blake: Yeah, well, that bitch was threatening to bring you down, wasn't she? I couldn't let her get away with it.
Colin: Your loyalty's commendable. Your methods suck.
Blake: Yeah, well, she got the message, didn't she?
Colin: I want you back in Australia.
Blake: Wh-what are you--
Colin: Tonight.
Cane: Well, I guess that's all. And I want you to know I love you. I love you, and I love your mommy very much. And I want you to know even if you can't see me, I'm always gonna be there with you.
Cane: (Inhales deeply) (Sighs)
Cane: (Sniffles)
Lily: I thought you'd be gone.
Cane: You know, I've been thinking, um...
Lily: Yeah, well, I've been trying not to, because the more I think, the more I hate you, and I don't want to hate you.
Cane: It's okay to hate me. I understand. But if you hear me out, I, um, I think I have a way that maybe we can make this right.
Lily: No. There is nothing you can do.
Cane: Will you hear me out?
Lily: (Sighs) Fine. I'll listen.
Nick: (Sighs) What are you doing?
Diane: Adding jalapeños.
Nick: No. No, no, no, no. Don't do that. This is...
Diane: (Laughs)
Nick: This is my authentic sauce from Tuscany, okay? I got this from my dad's personal chef who happens to be from Tuscany, so don't mess with it. It's perfect.
Diane: Okay, well, I happen to have spent, uh, a year in South America, and every local there that I came across mentioned that there is no dish that cannot be improved by a spicy hot pepper.
Nick: Not this one.
Diane: There we go.
Nick: Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. What are you--this is my sauce.
Diane: What is the matter with you? Are you afraid of a little heat?
Nick: (Scoffs)
Diane: Here you go.
Nick: I suppose. A little? (Clears throat)
Diane: Lightweight.
Nick: Don't call me lightweight.
Diane: (Chuckles) I'm sorry.
Nick: Here, how about you wear this instead?
Diane: No, this-- this is authentic Italian silk.
Nick: It'll go great with my sauce from Tuscany. I will put it all over you.
Diane: Don't do it, 'cause I will retaliate, and you will not be a happy man.
Nick: Bring it on.
(Cell phone rings)
Diane: Mm. Sorry.
(Ring)
Diane: (Clears throat)
(Ring)
Diane: Hello?
Kyle: Mom? Can you come back to Mr. Newman's house?
Diane: Kyle, what-- what's wrong?
Kyle: He got hurt.
Diane: Victor got hurt? How?
Kyle: We were on the snowmobiles, and we were being really careful, but he hit a tree.
Diane: Oh, my God.
Victor: Hello, Diane. We weren't careful enough, but the accident was harder on Kyle than it was on me. (Chuckles)
Diane: Maybe I ought to come back to the house.
Victor: I think that would be a great idea.
Diane: Okay, I'll be right there. (Sighs)
Nick: Everything all right?
Diane: Yeah, I think so. I-- it doesn't seem too serious, but Kyle sounded a little shaken up, so I'm gonna go and check on him.
Nick: Yeah, sure.
Diane: But you carry on.
Nick: No, no. I'll just, uh, keep this warm for you. Italian dinners are best for two, even if somebody ruins my sauce with jalapeños.
Diane: Mm.
Sharon: If you beat up Nick, you might feel better. But... that's not gonna make the situation any better.
Adam: The last thing I want to do is make things worse. If you trace this whole thing back to its origin, this is my fault, all of it. If I hadn't gotten into yours and Faith's life, I...
Sharon: Then I would have missed out on so much.
Adam: Sharon, I hurt you in a way a human being should never hurt another human being.
Sharon: You know what? People hurt each other. They do. Even people who love each other, and I-it doesn't mean that they stop loving one another.
Adam: Unless you're Victor. If you cross him, you make a mistake, do something he doesn't want you to do, that's it. You're out. It's like you never existed.
Sharon: Well, Victor could never understand the kind of love I feel for you. I feel sorry for him. And Nick, too, you know? It's like they're-- they love the fantasy of someone, not the real person. And they have no idea what they're missing, because this, what I feel for you, it's like... nothing that I've ever felt before in my life.
Adam: (Sighs) Come here.
Adam: (Sighs)
Diane: You two. I can't leave you alone for five minutes.
Victor: Coming to the rescue.
Diane: Ouch. Oh, God. Kyle, would you see if you could find some, uh, bandages a-and some peroxide, please?
Victor: Kyle, go down to the downstairs bathroom and there's a-- there's a medicine cabinet, all right? Okay?
Kyle: Got it.
Diane: Ow.
Victor: Well, we had fun, though.
Diane: (Laughs) Snowmobiling at night? Really? Yeah.
Victor: We had a lot of fun, though. Oh, yeah. A lot of fun. You know? I was making sure that he was all right.
Diane: Uh-huh, and you just forgot about yourself?
Victor: Well, before I knew it, there was a tree, and wham-o.
Diane: (Laughs)
Victor: The tree didn't yield the--the right-of-way, you know?
Diane: Yeah, they don't have manners, those trees. Right?
Victor: But we had fun.
Kyle: Found them.
Diane: Oh, good.
Victor: There we go. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, boy.
Diane: So tell me, what kind of bandage would you like? Something postmodern?
Victor: Well...
Diane: Maybe a little more contemporary?
Kyle: You're in trouble.
Victor: Oh, really? I think I'm in very good hands. Wasn't that fun, though? (Imitates motor revving) Huh?
Kyle: That was super fun... until that tree.
Victor: (Imitates motor revving) I loved it. Yeah, until that tree.
Sofia: I'm not gonna do it, Malcolm. Live in fear? Mnh-mnh. That's not me.
Malcolm: I know, Baby.
Sofia: Look, that baseball bat on the side of my bed is not there because I'm a Brewers fan.
Malcolm: Yeah, I'm aware of that, too, but, uh, before you start swingin', just make sure it's not me comin' to bed late.
Sofia: (Sighs) You're plannin' on comin' to bed with me?
Malcolm: You want me to?
Sofia: All right. (Chuckles)
Malcolm: Mm.
Lily: (Sighs) Listen, I know I said that we could talk, but it's been a long day.
Cane: Will you listen to me?
Lily: No, I can’t. I've had enough, okay? Seeing Blake was already too much.
Cane: Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. You saw Blake?
Lily: Yeah, I saw him at the club.
Cane: Did he threaten you?
Lily: No, I didn't give him a chance to. I told him I knew everything. I didn't want to see his face again, and I'd had enough of his lies.
Cane: Good. 'Cause--because Blake is one of the reasons I have this plan. Why don't we leave Genoa City, you, me, and the babies?
Lily: No. No. My life is here.
Cane: We can have a life anywhere, just go somewhere where no one knows who I am.
Lily: You cannot just keep running away and reinventing yourself every time your past catches up with you. Eventually, you have to face it.
Cane: I have faced it. I've faced it. I've told you. I've told Katherine. I've told Jill, okay? I just need time now. I need time to go and regroup. I need time to go and just... figure out what is next for us.
Lily: I don't know if I want to start a new life with you.
Cane: Don't say that. Without you, without the babies--
Lily: No, don't do that. Don't do-- don't you guilt-trip me. You made your bed. Now lie in it.
Cane: Lily--
Lily: I am not going anywhere. I'll get Charlie and Mattie so that you can say good-bye.
Diane: Does that sting?
Victor: A little.
Diane: (Laughs)
Victor: (Laughs)
Diane: Then why are you smiling?
Victor: Because I had a lot of fun...
Diane: Yeah?
Victor: Riding those damn snowmobiles. (Chuckles)
Diane: You know, there was a time I fantasized about this.
Victor: About what? Me slamming into a tree?
Diane: (Laughs) No.
Victor: What?
Diane: Well, yes. But that, and, uh, you and Kyle so close. I just didn't imagine it would happen on the same day.
Victor: I had no idea that any of this would happen when I asked you to move in here, but it's nice.
Kyle: Hey, Mom? I found a bigger bandage.
Diane: Oh, good. Perfect.
Kyle: These should work.
Victor: There you are. Good boy.
Diane: Now, Guys, do you think that you could possibly find something a little less life-threatening to do with the rest of the evening?
Victor: Well... well, I have a lot of new movies...
Diane: Yeah?
Victor: In the media room. How's that?
Kyle: Will you watch with us, Mom?
Diane: Um...
Victor: What do you think?
Kyle: Please?
Diane: Yeah. Sure. Okay.
Victor: Look at all this attention.
Diane: That's good.
Victor: All right.
Kyle: (Chuckles)
Diane: Just--just let me make a phone call, okay?
Kyle: Okay.
Victor: Sure. So listen. Next time--next time, I-I should...
(Cell phone rings)
Nick: You gonna be back soon?
Diane: No. Can I get a rain check?
Nick: Uh, sure.
Diane: I'm sorry.
Nick: No, that's all right. Kids, uh, they trump everything.
Diane: Thanks for understanding.
Kyle: Head-on.
Victor: Oh, it could have been a concussion. Very bad.
Kyle: Or dead.
Victor: Oh, yeah. So we were lucky, right?
Cane: So, hey, little mates. There's been a lot going on here lately, huh? And I'm sure you can feel it. I just want you guys to know that I love you. And I love your mommy very much. And I want you to know that everything I've done, I did for you. And I want you to be good to your mommy, okay? 'Cause I gotta leave. (Whispers) But it's only gonna be for a little while. (Normal voice) I'm gonna be back. I promise you, okay? Okay? Mm?
Lily: You really shouldn't make promises you can't keep.
Cane: (Sighs)
Neil: Now listen. I know I upset you earlier, but we have to be careful. Cane's past is real, and we can't ignore it.
Jill: Cane assured me that we were in no danger.
Neil: I sure hope he's right.
Jill: You know... (Sighs) I don't know what happened to Colin. Will you excuse me? I'm gonna try and reach him.
Neil: Sure.
Jill: Hello, Sweetheart. It's me. I am still at Crimson Lights. I was just wondering when you were coming back. Oh. (Chuckles) I was just leaving you a message.
Colin: I'm sorry. I--there was something I had to work out.
Jill: Were you able to?
Colin: Yeah. (Sighs) Um, I also made a decision. I want us to get married tonight.
Adam: (Sighs)
Sharon: This is what it feels like. This is really what it feels like.
Adam: What?
Sharon: Love. I thought I knew. I had no idea.
Nick: You are better off eatin' that without the sauce. I mean, jalapeños? Are you kiddin' me?
Faith: Yeah.
Nick: Yeah. (Sighs) You know, it's not bad.
Faith: (Giggles)
Nick: Yeah. All right, it's pretty good. Don't tell her I said that. So what do you think? Should we keep her around?
Faith: Yeah.
Nick: Yeah? Yeah, I think so, too. Cheers.
Victor: I love this stuff.
Kyle: Yeah.
Victor: Oh, Boy.
Kyle: So the movie's in 3-D?
Victor: Oh, yeah.
Kyle: The fight scenes are gonna be so awesome.
Victor: Oh, yeah.
Kyle: The blood will shoot right out at us.
Victor: (Chuckles) Mmm.
Kyle: You comin', Mom?
Diane: I'm-- I'm right behind you.
Victor: Are you sure this is how you want to spend the evening?
Diane: Blood shooting right out at me? What else would I rather be doing?
Victor: All right, let's go. This way to the gore.
Diane: (Laughs)
Jill: I'm gonna have to sit down if I'm gonna respond to what you just said.
Colin: Uh, is--is getting married tonight that troubling?
Jill: Uh... getting married tonight is very surprising.
Colin: Well, I quote-- "The sooner, the better."
Jill: (Laughs) Yeah, but, you see, I didn't expect you to take me that literally.
Colin: (Sighs) Look, we love each other. We want to get married. Why wait?
Jill: That's very poetic, Honey. But why tonight?
Colin: I'm not a guy that's easily shaken, but what happened to your friend Sofia in there-- you know, it got me to thinking. We don't know what's around the corner.
Jill: Oh, you think there's a motorcycle waiting for you?
Colin: You don't know. Maybe something. I know I don't want any regrets. Do you?
Jill: Mnh-mnh.
Colin: Okay. Let's just go off, get married.
Jill: No. Let's stay here and get married.
Colin: Tonight?
Jill: No, no, no, no, no. I want to do it right. I want a beautiful dress. I want flowers. I want rings. How about tomorrow?
Colin: You're not gonna leave me at the altar?
Jill: Not a chance.
Colin: Okay, it's a deal. Tomorrow it is.
Jill: Tomorrow. (Sighs)
Cane: If you let me stay--
Lily: Listen. No, Cane, I don't want to hear anymore, because if I do, you'll make me trust you, and just let me down again.
Cane: No, I won't do that.
Lily: Yes, you will. You have done it over and over and over again, and I can't take it anymore.
Cane: All right, I can make this right if you give me a chance. I promise you.
Lily: Okay, please just stop. I told you, I'm tired. I need to rest and think.
Cane: Okay.
Lily: (Sighs)
Cane: Do you want to tell me there's--there's some hope?
Lily: Please just go.
Cane: I'll see you tomorrow.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Billy: This is nuts. When did you get engaged? Do you even have a ring?
Colin: You just keep him out of the church. And if you do anything stupid, I swear, I'm gonna make you regret it.
Blake: Whatever you're thinkin', Mate, forget it.
Cane: Move aside. I'm goin' in.
