Episode # 9537 ~ Sharon Is Reminded of Her Past

Provided By Eric
Proofread By Emma

Michael: I called the house, and nobody answered.

Lauren: I decided to come to work.

Michael: Really?

Lauren: You were right. I-I'm not gonna let Daisy get to me. She's locked up. She can't hurt me.

Michael: I'm very proud of you.

Lauren: How's the search going?

Michael: Uh, Nicholas found a shopkeeper who saw Sharon yesterday. Adam was spotted on an A.T.M. surveillance camera a few blocks from Sharon's hotel.

Lauren: So they're both there?

Michael: We spent all night in the lobby of Sharon's hotel. She never came back.

Lauren: She was missing all night?

Michael: Nicholas talked the hotel manager into letting him into Sharon's room, so hopefully, he'll find something we can use.

Phyllis: Hey, Nick. Um, what's up? D-did you find Sharon and warn her about Adam?

Nick: Um, not yet. (Sighs) I just wanted to call and make sure you got home okay.

Phyllis: Oh, that's sweet. It's unnecessary, but it's sweet.

Nick: Well, I apologize for coming down on you so hard yesterday, but it's just I'm worried that if Adam... (Sighs) Gets to Sharon first, I, uh, I didn't want you caught in the middle of this.

Phyllis: You don't have to worry about me.

Nick: The girls okay?

Phyllis: Uh, Faith is eating, and Summer is still asleep.

Nick: Ahh, all right. I guess I'll, uh, just talk to 'em next time.

Phyllis: Yeah. Uh, hey, hey, um, where are you--you guys going to be looking today?

Nick: We gotta get a plan. But I really gotta get goin'. I'll call you later. Give my girls a kiss for me?

Phyllis: Um, I will make sure they both get a kiss. (Clears throat)

Man: Hi. Welcome to Muriel's. This your first visit to New Orleans?

Deacon: Are you still thinking about last night? 'Cause I know I am. Ever since I left rehab, I-I-I just-- I can't stop thinking about us.

Deacon: You know, Nik, the first time we were together, I thought maybe, uh, you know, it's heat of the moment, you know, a one-time deal. After last night, I think that maybe we could really have something.

Nikki: Deacon, I... I-I'm not really ready to think about what's next. I mean, I just got sober.

Deacon: Yeah.

Nikki: And Victor and I... I just need time.

Deacon: No, no. I--yeah, I get it. Um, no pressure.

Nikki: Thank you.

Deacon: Hey, is there, uh, is there any more of that in the kitchen?

Nikki: Yeah. Help yourself.

Deacon: Okay.

(Doorbell rings)

Nikki: (Gasps) Katherine.

Kay: Hi, Darling. Listen, I apologize...

Nikki: Hi.

Kay: For not calling, but I was nearby in the neighborhood, and I heard that you had just come home from rehab, so here I am.

Deacon: I couldn't find any sugar. I--

Jack: Hey, Red. Everything all right?

Phyllis: Yeah, it is. I'm sorry. That--that was Nick. So where were we?

Jack: Well, Faith has just had breakfast, and Summer... oh, Summer just woke up. You want to talk to your mom? Uh, okay, uh, don't worry about a thing. The girls are doing fine.

Phyllis: I really appreciate your looking after them.

Jack: You bet. Here's Summer.

Summer: Mommy, I miss you and daddy. When are you coming home?

Phyllis: Really soon, Baby girl. Really soon.

(Knock on door)

Michael: Hey.

Nick: Hey.

Michael: Find anything?

Nick: Well, her clothes are all here. Purse is gone.

Michael: No sign of a struggle.

Nick: Looks like she left for the day and never came back.

Michael: Well, maybe she went off on a day-trip somewhere or stayed up all night to watch the sunrise.

Nick: Maybe Adam finally found her, and she blew him off. Then he really lost it.

Michael: Well, that certainly is the worst possible conclusion. And I'm not saying that-- that Sharon and Adam haven't encountered each other down here, but, um, there are other possibilities.

Nick: If you're talkin' about what Phyllis suggested yesterday--

Michael: Listen, Mrs. Benoit's daughter said that Sharon admitted that some of her personal ghosts had followed her down here, that there were things that she needed to figure out. Look, isn't it--think. Isn't it possible that Sharon may have planned to meet Adam down here?

Sharon: (Sighs)

Adam: Good morning.

Sharon: (Chuckles) How long have you been staring at me?

Adam: Um, 15 minutes, uh, an hour, maybe. I don't know. I've lost all track of time.

Sharon: (Chuckles) Yeah, I know what you mean. Ever since we got to this place... do you think this happens to everyone who comes to Oak Alley?

Adam: It's not possible. This is all ours, remember? We made this world.

Sharon: Yeah. Wow. The sun is shining, bright blue sky.

Adam: No clouds, huh?

Sharon: No. Good thing you don't have to go into work today.

Adam: Yeah, they're just gonna have to do without me. I have, uh, more important things to do.

Sharon: Like what?

Adam: Mm. This, for starters.

Sharon: Mm. This is a good start.

Nikki: Katherine, I-- I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting you.

Kay: No, no, no. Your, um, message said you wanted to see me.

Nikki: Oh, right. Yeah, that was yesterday after I saw Victor.

Kay: I take it he's not here.

Deacon: Look, this is not what you think.

Kay: Don't you dare "Look" me anything.

Deacon: I'm gonna go.

Kay: Are you out of your mind?

Summer: Okay, Mommy, I love you.

Phyllis: I love you, too. Hey, put Jack on the phone, okay?

Summer: Okay.

Jack: Oops. Hold on. We good here?

Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah. We're all good. So, um, Nick hasn't called yet, right?

Jack: Nope.

Phyllis: He can't know I'm back in New Orleans.

Jack: You know, I-I'm startin' to not like this.

Phyllis: Please, I-I'm-- I need to look for Adam. I need to find him. I'm doing a story. Can you just-- can you just cooperate with me?

Jack: Okay, you do me a favor, though-- promise me you will be careful.

Phyllis: Deal.

Jack: Okay, you and Nick get back--get back soon. The girls miss you.

Phyllis: All right. Give Summer a kiss for me. In fact, give both girls a kiss from Nick. Bye.

Man: How was everything?

Phyllis: Oh, it was great. Thank you. Thank you. (Sighs) So I-I need to get back to the reason I'm here in New Orleans.

Man: Those folks you're lookin' for?

Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, exactly.

Man: Well, maybe this will be your lucky day.

Phyllis: I hope so. I really hope so.

Nick: You know, I expect this "Sharon may have run off with Adam" crap from Phyllis, but not from you.

Michael: Oh, come on. You said Sharon wasn't herself when she left Genoa City. Lauren saw it, too. Now isn't it possible that Adam took advantage of a-a-- what, a moment of weakness-- and convinced Sharon to meet him here?

Nick: Baldwin, I don't have time for this, all right? Sharon has been missing since last night. We're not gonna sit around here and talk about all these theories. We have to find her.

Michael: All right, fine. Where do you want to go?

Nick: I don't know. I found this on the floor. Maybe she's there.

Michael: City Park?

Nick: She could be headed there. I don't know.

Michael: It's huge.

Nick: Well, then we better get started. We have to find Sharon before Adam does.

Sharon: (Sighs)

Adam: (Sighs)

Sharon: (Chuckles)

Adam: (Sighs) That was...

Sharon: Mm. (Chuckles)

Adam: (Sighs) You sleepy?

Sharon: Yeah, a little.

Adam: Just close your eyes.

Sharon: No, I don't want to miss it.

Adam: Miss what?

Sharon: Everything. This.

Adam: I'm not goin' into work, remember?

Sharon: (Chuckles) Hey, you know what? Let's--let's get up and shower. And--and we'll get out and we'll-- oh.

Adam: What?

Sharon: Um, I didn't bring a change of clothes.

Adam: (Sighs) Well, you can just stay the way you are.

Sharon: Oh. (Laughs) I think I should go back to the Cornstalk and just freshen up a little bit.

Adam: Okay, fine. If you insist on being practical and heading back to your hotel, let me-- let me take you somewhere first.

Sharon: Where?

Adam: Somewhere you're gonna love.

Jill: (Whistling) Lauren.

Lauren: Yes, Jill. It's me, working in my own store.

Jill: (Chuckles) Our own store. And can you blame me for being surprised? You haven't been in for weeks.

Lauren: And I see you decided to take over. All the displays are different.

Jill: Well, you know, I e-mailed you about everything I did.

Lauren: I read 'em. I mean, most of everything you did was fine.

Jill: (Laughs) Gee, thanks.

Lauren: I mean, I did have a problem with a few things.

Jill: Other than the displays?

Lauren: Yes. I think the marketing campaign needs work.

Jill: Well, see, now I tried to get in touch with you about that over Thanksgiving, but you were "Otherwise involved."

Lauren: Yes, Michael, Fen, and I were planning to go out of town.

Jill: You could have called me when you came back.

Lauren: Actually, the whole trip... fell apart.

Jill: (Chuckles) So you're telling me that you blew me off for absolutely no reason at all?

Kay: You see, I thought you and Victor were going to get married, uh, once he cleared up this mess with Meggie. I-I-I thought that's what the two of you were going to do.

Nikki: Well, unfortunately, Victor didn't clue me in on what was going on with Meggie, so when I heard they had gotten married--

Kay: You thought it was for real?

Nikki: Of course I did. I mean, I had already lost my sobriety. When I thought I had lost Victor, too, Deacon was there for me.

Kay: In rehab?

Nikki: Victor walked in on us.

Kay: (Scoffs)

Nikki: I have until he gets back from this business trip to get off the ranch.

Kay: (Stammers) Nikki, look, I-I know that you're upset, devastated. But, my God, Deacon Sharpe?

Nikki: He's been a good friend, Katherine.

Kay: Oh, come on. He ruined your daughter's marriage.

Nikki: You don't know him like I do.

Kay: Well, how deeply involved are you with this monster?

Nikki: He-- he has stood by me. He understands. He understands what I'm going through.

Kay: Does that mean you're gonna keep on seeing him?

Nikki: I don't know. But whatever I decide, I hope you'll be supportive and not judgmental.

Kay: Well, you know I will.

Nikki: Thank you.

Sharon: (Gasps) Wow.

Sharon: I read about this place. It's as beautiful as it was in the brochure.

Adam: Yeah, I knew you'd love it.

Sharon: I do. (Sighs) I love it.

Adam: This place is like a dream.

Sharon: Dreams have to end. We can't stay here forever.

Adam: Maybe not in New Orleans. But, Sharon, this is right. You, me-- together.

Sharon: This feels right.

Adam: You go through life. You meet so many people, and they touch your life. You touch theirs, and you just keep moving. Day after day, you put one foot in front of the other. You're living, but you're not really alive. And then one day, you meet somebody. And everything just... stops. You realize this person isn't just gonna touch your life. They are going to be your life. That's you, Sharon. I was looking for something before I met you. I thought I wanted power and money and acceptance. It was you. I knew that the very second I laid eyes on you. For years, I was moving forward, putting one foot in front of the other, in front of the other, searching for you. And now that I've found you, I don't see the point in moving forward, going any further, unless it's with you. I know you feel it, too. I see it in your eyes. This bond we have can never be broken.

Michael: All right, so I told Mrs. Benoit that we are going to City Park, and she said she will call when Sharon gets back.

Nick: This is a lot of ground to cover.

Michael: Yeah, so let's get going.

Jill: It’s different than what I came up with. I wouldn't necessarily say it was better.

Lauren: Well, that's because you don't understand the Fenmore's customers the way I do.

Jill: Thank you so much. All right, I will set up a meeting with the marketing team. We can sit down and discuss it.

Lauren: I don't need you to set up a meeting with my marketing team. Thank you.

Jill: Look, I know that you're really stressed out about this nut ball Daisy coming back to town. If you need to take some more time to--

Lauren: I don't. And if you think this is your big chance to take over, then forget it.

Jill: I thought it was my big chance to reach out to my sister.

Lauren: Oh, yeah. Reach out and snatch my side of the company? You know, you are so desperate...

Jill: (Sighs)

Lauren: To have it all.

Jill: And you're so used to having it all.

Lauren: That's right. Ahh! Oh, my God!

Kay: We never thought for one moment that you would find out about the marriage over the internet. We didn't. (Stammers) I'm so sorry that things turned out this way.

Nikki: But, you know... (Sighs) It's not just Meggie that drove us a-apart. Uh, these last few months, the way he has handled the situation with Victoria has driven a huge wedge in our relationship.

Kay: Well, maybe this time apart is--is what you really need.

Nikki: Well, I plan to use it, too. I'm going to get strong. I'm going to stay sober, and, God help me, I'm gonna try to find out who I am without Victor. I wish he would do the same, but, as usual, he just runs off whenever he's let down by the people he loves.

Kay: Well, yes, but there, um, there may be more to it than this.

Nikki: What do you mean?

Kay: Well, the Newman fund collapsed. Adam and his wife lost everything, uh, when a major investor pulled out his money.

Nikki: Major investor? Victor?

Kay: Victor. Victor and Jack were working to ruin Adam. Then Victor made a move on his own, and Jack and Adam lost everything they had in one fell swoop.

Nikki: (Sighs) When will Jack learn not to trust Victor?

Kay: Yeah, but wait a minute now. Jack and Adam may not be the losers in this particular case. The police found blood in Skye's room. And, um, she's missing. So, um, they have attempted to blame Adam...

Nikki: For killing her?

Kay: Yes.

Nikki: And Victor did all of this.

Nick: No? Okay, thank you.

Michael: (Breathing heavily) Anything?

Nick: I covered every square inch of the sculpture garden and the art museum.

Michael: Well, nobody's seen anyone who looks like Sharon or Adam at the botanical gardens, either.

Nick: Damn. (Sighs)

Michael: Where to next?

Nick: Something tells me we should look here.

Adam: You feel it, the connection.

Sharon: Something's happened since we've been here.

Adam: You figured out what I've known all along-- we belong together.

Sharon: (Chuckles)

Nick: Sharon?

Sharon: I'm sorry. I was just thinking about Cassíe. Wouldn't it have been amazing to bring her here?

Nick: Yeah. She would have loved it.

Sharon: (Sniffles) I wish that we had taken more family trips together when we had the chance.

Nick: (Sighs) Yeah, none of us realized that...

Sharon: No. We don't live our lives thinking that the ones we love might be torn away from us at any moment. (Sniffles) Still, I... I always dreamed that...

Sharon: Things just didn't work out that way, did they?

Adam: Are you okay?

Sharon: I can't do this, Adam. I can't be with you.

Lauren: (Gasps) (Sighs)

Jill: A fuse just blew. It's no big deal.

Lauren: (Breathing heavily) Yeah. Maybe. Maybe not.

Jill: Lauren, I just flipped the breaker switch and the lights came back on. So what else could it be?

Lauren: (Sighs) Daisy. This is...

Jill: (Sighs)

Lauren: This is how it started, you know? Little things going wrong, and then before I knew it, she and Ryder were trying to kill me.

Jill: Honey, Daisy is locked up, okay?

Lauren: Well, obviously, it wasn't her. Obviously, someone else did it. Th-they came in here before I arrived and they messed with the fuse box. And I guess... I guess it could have been Ryder. It could have been Ryder, but maybe it was someone else. Did--did you-- did you hire somebody while I was gone?

Jill: Uh, yeah. I hired a couple of kids to help out with the holiday rush.

Lauren: Okay, well, I need to meet them, and I want background checks on everybody.

Jill: All right. Okay. I'll take care of it. Just don't blow this out of proportion.

Lauren: All right, don't! Don't! Until you have lived through what I have been through, you don't get to tell me what to do!

Nikki: It seems neither one of us can learn when it comes to Victor.

Jack: So what's goin' on with the two of you?

Nikki: Not a thing. We're not together anymore.

Jack: Well, judging from what he just did to me and 12 innocent investors... (Sighs) I'd say you're better off.

Nikki: Believe me, my head hears you loud and clear, but my heart wants...

Jack: What breaks it?

Nikki: Very true.

Jack: The one I feel sorry for right now is Skye.

Nikki: Yeah, Katherine said she's missing.

Jack: (Sighs) She's missing. Adam's missing. Sharon's missing.

Nikki: Sharon? Wait. What does Sharon have to do with this?

Jack: Sharon disappeared the same time Adam did. Right now, Nicholas and Michael are down in New Orleans looking for both of them.

Adam: You don't mean that.

Sharon: I'm so sorry.

Adam: You care. I know you do.

Sharon: Adam, we can't be together.

Adam: Stop saying that. Okay? I love you, and I know that you love me, too.

Sharon: I love Nick, and--and Noah and Faith, and I love the life that we could have together.

Adam: Why'd you come out here? Why'd you run away?

Sharon: Because I was scared. I finally had something that I never thought was possible, and it just... it scared me. I needed to let things sink in. And I dreamt about it for so long, I just wasn't sure if I was in love with the idea or the reality, and--and now I know. I know what I want. I know what I have to do. I have to go back to my family.

Adam: Okay, and what about us? What about what happened here?

Sharon: It was...

Adam: Don't say it was a mistake.

Sharon: It wasn't real.

Adam: (Sighs)

Sharon: It was fantasy. It was like a moment out of time, Adam. And we--we have to go back to the real world.

Adam: That doesn't mean that we can't have a future together, Sharon.

Sharon: Adam, my future's with Nick. And I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I didn't realize it sooner. I never meant to hurt you. We have to say good-bye. We have to forget about everything that happened here.

Adam: No. No, I won't forget what happened out here.

Sharon: You have to. You have to. (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Nick: Sharon?

Sharon: Nick? (Sighs)

Nick: What are you doing here? Get your hands off her.

Sharon: What are you--oh.

Adam: Go to hell, Nicholas.

Nick: You son of a--

Michael: Nick, stop. The marshals are on their way.

Sharon: What? What marshals? What are you talking about?

Nick: This guy's a murderer, Sharon.

Adam: No, I'm not. I was cleared of the Hightower murder. I don't know what you're talking about.

Nick: Oh, let's see you get out of killing Skye.

Adam: Skye--killing-- what are you talking about?

Nick: She's missing.

Adam: I don't know what you're talking about here.

Nick: Really? Explain her blood all over your hotel room.

Adam: I can't explain that.

Sharon: Skye? What?

Nick: You think it's just a coincidence that Skye's missing the same time you are?

Adam: Yes, I think it's an absolute coincidence, Nick.

Nick: The cops don't think so. They're lookin' all over for you. They know you had something to do with her.

Adam: I had nothing to do with whatever it is you're talking about!

Sharon: Oh, my God. I--

Adam: Sharon, trust me. I have no idea what he's talking about. You have to believe me.

Nikki: I have been so wrapped up in my own problems, I-I had no idea any of this was going on.

Jack: Well, this is not your doing. This is Victor. He set all of this in motion when he collapsed the Newman fund.

Nikki: And now, as usual, somebody else will pay the price, but this time, it could be Nicholas and Sharon. They need to be getting back together and rebuilding their family, not mixed up in this mess with Adam.

Faith: (Babbling)

Jack: Whoop. That would be Faith. Boy, she didn't sleep long.

Nikki: Oh. (Sighs)

Jack: Must be missing her parents.

Nikki: Well, at least she's young enough to not realize what's going on. Hopefully soon, her parents will come back, and all will be right in her world.

Kay: Uh, yes, I understand, Miriam. Yes, I do. Well, you feel better. We'll, uh, make-- we'll make lunch another time. Uh-huh. Listen, Darling, you give Ted my best, all right? Thank you. Bye-bye.

Jill: No, my dear, I definitely said scrambled, okay? And the bacon was supposed to be extra crispy. Yes? And... (Scoffs) Why don't you warm up my coffee while you're trying to get my order straight. (Sighs)

Kay: Well, well, well, rough--rough morning? (Sighs) (Chuckles) Oh, Jill, who are you angry with now, or, uh, need I ask?

Jill: Well, I know how you love pointing the finger at me whenever Lauren and I have a disagreement, but this time, it's really on sis.

Kay: Well, could you possibly give me your best unbiased version of what happened?

Jill: Absolutely. Absolutely, I will. Okay, the lights go out at the boutique, right? I tell her it's a blown fuse. She blasts me.

Kay: (Sighs)

Jill: She's convinced that its Daisy engineering the whole thing from her jail cell.

Kay: Ah. And you're upset with Lauren because she's on edge?

Jill: Of course I'm not. I know that Daisy's a wack job, okay? I'm upset because I was trying to be supportive of her, and she went off on me.

Kay: Oh, for heaven sakes, give the woman a break.

Jill: What, and let her use me as a punching bag? Sorry. Not my style. Lauren doesn't want me in her life, fine. She can just face her demons on her own.

Lauren: Who is it?

Daisy: Lauren?

Lauren: Is it Ryder? Is Ryder back? Or did you suck someone else into your sick plan?

Daisy: What?

Lauren: What did you do? Did you hire some--some innocent, get them to apply for a job at the boutique so you could torment me?

Daisy: I am just trying to take care of my baby.

Lauren: You don't give a damn about that baby! You hate me. You hate all of us. You just want to make our lives a living hell.

Daisy: No.

Lauren: Yes. Yes. You are just the same cold, vicious bitch who locked me in a cage like an animal. And now you're locked up, and I'm gonna do everything I can...

Daisy: (Sniffles)

Lauren: To make sure that you stay that way. Do you hear me?! You will never get out of here!

Daisy: (Sniffles)

Lauren: I will make sure that you stay in for the rest of your life after what you did to me.

Daisy: Aunt Sarah-- what she made me do to you.

Lauren: You loved torturing me. You laughed at me.

Daisy: No, I'm not that person anymore.

Lauren: You will always be that person.

Daisy: Guard!

Lauren: You have not changed!

Daisy: Guard, get her out of here.

Lauren: You don't deserve mercy! You don't even deserve to be a mother!

Woman: Ma'am, you need to leave.

Lauren: Oh, I am going, believe me!

Daisy: (Breathing heavily) (Sobs)

Jill: Look, Lauren was working from home for weeks and weeks and weeks, all right? And I handled everything at the office.

Kay: Mm-hmm.

Jill: Then she decides to come back to work, and does she give me any gratitude? No. She criticizes every single thing I've done.

Kay: Uh-huh.

Jill: On top of that, when I did try to offer her a little sisterly support with this Daisy thing, she bites my head off. I'm done.

Kay: Good, because I have something to say.

Jill: Mm-hmm. Don't you always?

Kay: You have proved that you, um, can run Fenmore's.

Jill: (Sighs)

Kay: Now try and prove that you can be a sister, or at least a friend.

Jill: Haven't you been listening to me? I tried that.

Kay: Lauren was upset, and she took that out on you. Hurt feelings? Oh, come on. Big deal. You go to her, and you tell her that she can take whatever she wants to out on you, but you will always be there for her, because you are sisters, and that is what sisters do.

Jack: Well, look who just woke up.

Nikki: Oh! Hi, Sweetie. My goodness, you get more beautiful every day. Here, you come here. (Gasps) Come here.

Jack: Oh, look how happy she is.

Nikki: Oh, there she is.

Faith: (Coos)

Nikki: Yes. Well, I'm not as good as mommy, though, am I? No, I'm not as good as mommy. No. Ooh.

Jack: No, there's no substitute for that.

Nikki: Sweet angel. My sweet angel.

Faith: (Coos)

Nikki: Yeah.

Adam: Sharon, believe me. I don't know what he's talking about. I had nothing to do--

Nick: Hey, shut up.

Adam: No, Nicholas, I won't shut up. Sharon, you have to believe me. I don't know what he's talking about.

Nick: Get him out of here.

Adam: I had nothing to do with Skye.

Man: We'd like to ask you some questions, too, Ms. Newman.

Sharon: Wait, c-can I just have a minute?

Man: We'll put him in the car. Let's go.

Adam: Sharon, believe me. Trust me. I had nothing to do with this!

Nick: Sharon? My God, I was so worried about you. When I found out that Adam left town the same time you did, I realized you were probably in New Orleans at the same time.

Sharon: Um... uh, Lauren-- Lauren suggested that I come here, and--and I had no idea that Adam would show up.

Nick: That dirtbag must have followed you here. Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?

Sharon: No.

Nick: (Sighs) I've been going crazy. Sharon, he killed Skye, and I thought he was gonna do the same thing to you.

Sharon: (Sighs) (Sighs) Well, you didn't need to worry.

Nick: Well, who knows what he would have done if Michael and I hadn't shown up.

Sharon: He wouldn't have hurt me.

Nick: How do you know that? Were you not being held here against your will?

Sharon: Nick...

Nick: Sharon, you told me that you needed to get away so you could think about-- about us and--and our future. Is that because you were having doubts about Adam? Because you still have feelings for him?

Sharon: I-- uh... no. I mean, it--it wasn't like that.

Nick: Then tell me what it was like.

Sharon: I... he--he and I-- we just--we ran into each other, and we... (Sighs)

Nick: I don't believe this. I've been killing myself to get to you, because I really thought that Adam was gonna hurt you. But I find you, and--and you're with him because you want to be with him?

Sharon: Nick, I was on my way home to you and Faith and Noah. I was saying good-bye to him.

Nick: Why do you need to say good-bye to him? You did that six months ago. I don't understand this hold he has over you.

Sharon: Well, whatever it is, it's over now.

Nick: Look at you. No, it's not.

Sharon: I'm telling you, Nick, I-I was confused, but I'm not anymore. I saw the carousel, and then I knew exactly what I wanted. It's you. I want us to be married. I want us to have our family.

Nick: I can't believe you. You don't even know that yourself. How can I believe you?

Sharon: Yes, I-- yes, I do know that.

Nick: No, you don't.

Sharon: Nick, please, listen to me. I love you.

Nick: I can't marry you now. We are not getting married.

Sharon: Nick, don't say that. Please listen to me.

Nick: We're done, Sharon. I'm done.

Phyllis: Hey. That was certainly not what I expected.

Nick: Phyllis, what the hell are you doing here?

Phyllis: (Sighs) She just can't get over him, can she?

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Ronan: It looks like you and your ex conspired to get rid of the new wife.

Phyllis: For what it's worth, I'm sorry you were betrayed.

Michael: It could be the thing that convicts Adam.

Sharon: You think he's guilty?

Noah: Don't you?
