Michael: Hey, come here! Oh! Oh, super strong hug. Must release myself from son. Aah!
Fen: Where's Mom?
Michael: Oh, well, you know, I'm gonna talk to you about that in a bit. Right now, I, uh, have to have a conversation with your grandma Gloria, all right? Mwah!
Kevin: Hey, Fen, I have a super-cool new game on my laptop I want to show you in the office. Come on.
Michael: Thank you.
Gloria: Huh?
Michael: Uh, there-- there's a reason I asked you to keep Fenmore one more night.
Gloria: Oh, don't you worry about that, Honey. I know how you get when you have too much excitement-- all nervous and jangly.
Jeff: Yeah, you look like you're still recovering from that explosion at the club.
Gloria: (Sighs)
Michael: Well, that's because there's--
Gloria: He doesn't have my adventurous spirit. Now if I'd been there, and I should have been, if a certain somebody wasn't allergic to the police--yeah.
Jeff: Well, be grateful. It might be the only thing that saved that pretty little face from getting blown to smithereens.
Gloria: (Scoffs) Nobody was seriously hurt.
Jeff: Eh, except for the one crispy critter.
Gloria: Yeah, well, that Adam character deserved it.
Michael: All right, listen to me. There's a lot more...
Gloria: Now you don't--
Michael: That happened than you saw on the news.
Gloria: And speaking of which, why weren't you on the news? I kept thinking I'd see you being interviewed.
Michael: I was looking for Lauren.
Gloria: Eh, no, no, no, no. If I had been there, and I should have been--
Jeff: You're just not gonna let this go, are you?
Gloria: Honey, it made national headlines. It was a golden opportunity.
Michael: Gloria!
Gloria: What?
Michael: I'm still looking for Lauren. She's missing.
Amber: What can we do?
Kevin: (Sighs)
Daniel: Sorry we didn't get your message sooner.
Kevin: Well, right now, the first priority is just finding Ryder and Daisy. Once we find them, we'll find Lauren and Jana.
Amber: They've had Jana all this time?
Kevin: Well, it's the only thing that makes sense. She was investigating them when she disappeared. She was certain that there was a connection. Now I know she was right. Plus, I got that text message that said she was nearby.
Daniel: Yeah, but wasn't that just someone messin' with your head?
Kevin: Maybe, but they knew that she had called me, and they knew that I had heard this music in the background. So based on that, I went and checked out that old abandoned amusement park near Twin Lakes, but I found nothing.
Amber: Well, they could have moved her somewhere else.
Daniel: Yeah, I wish you had called us then. I know you probably thought that we wouldn't believe you, though.
Kevin: Well, now it's obvious that it's all connected-- Ryder and Tom and Daisy and this woman Sarah Smythe.
Amber: Who's Sarah Smythe?
Jana: Are you--
Lauren: Honey, its okay. It's okay. It's me.
Jana: (Sighs)
Lauren: It's the real me. How'd you sleep?
Jana: I didn't sleep much. Did you?
Lauren: (Sighs) I just keep thinking about that--that first rat that was sent to me, and... and then being targeted for all those months. I knew it was Sheila. I knew it. But it's impossible, right? And yet, here we are.
Jana: Lauren, did you know that Sheila had a sister?
Lauren: No, I didn’t. I didn't know she had twins.
Jana: (Sighs) (Whispering) It's possible they're lying.
Lauren: (Whispering) I don't think so. Sheila's last words to me were, "You are never going to be rid of me." She was right.
Jana: (Normal voice) You know, Shelia wasn't invincible, and neither are these three.
Lauren: You don't understand.
Jana: No, I do. Lauren, I know the stories. I know what Sheila put you through. I do.
Lauren: (Normal voice) No. No, hearing about it and living it are two very, very different things. I was never safe. My children--oh, my God. What is she gonna do to Fen?
Jana: Nothing.
Lauren: (Whimpers)
Jana: Nothing, okay? You listen to me. Nothing, because like you said, we are going to get out of here, okay?
Lauren: (Sighs)
Jana: I did it once before.
(Door rattles)
Sarah: Be grateful you have me to represent you. You look like hell.
Daisy: (Chuckles)
Ryder: Breakfast.
Lauren: This isn't gonna end well. You're taking a huge risk. These two are already in trouble with the law.
Daisy: (Scoffs) Won't be a problem.
Lauren: With your face and my I.D., you-- you can go to my bank. You can clean out my bank accounts and be out of the country before anybody realizes what happened.
Sarah: This isn't about money.
Lauren: Then what's it about?
Sarah: I told you last night-- justice.
Lauren: Well, then justice has already been served when I shot Sheila dead years ago.
Neil: Here you go.
Malcolm: Oh, thanks, Bro.
Neil: Yep, you got it.
Malcolm: I'm really, uh, I'm really glad to see you in one piece.
Neil: (Sighs) Appreciate that. Not everyone was so lucky.
Malcolm: Yeah, Adam. Phyllis was tellin' me about him. Unbelievable, the stuff that he got away with.
Neil: Right? No one's gonna miss him, that's for sure.
Malcolm: Hmm. (Sighs) So, um, Neil, what are we gonna do about Lily?
Neil: She's in good hands.
Malcolm: Well, I mean, I-I really want to believe that, but this doc's talking about puttin' her through chemo again.
Neil: (Sets mug down) Yeah, not right away. She's gotta get her strength back first.
Malcolm: But that's what I'm talkin' about. I mean, the first round nearly killed her and didn't do much good against the cancer.
Neil: There are different agents they can try.
Malcolm: Bro, we gotta get a second opinion. At the very least, Lily deserves to know about her other options.
Neil: Okay, all right, listen to me. First of all, stop being so negative, all right? And second of all, it's not your place to come back into town and try to take over Lily's life like this. Don't do that.
Malcolm: Oh, I forgot. I'm--I'm not even supposed to be here, right? You--you goin' back to that page now?
Neil: No, I-I understand that you want be involved. I get that you want to be part of this family.
Malcolm: Want to be part of this family? Neil, I'm part of this family whether you like it or not, and it's pretty obvious that you don’t. You didn't even want me to know Lily had cancer.
Neil: Now hold on. Wait a minute. Now I-I-I tried-- I tried to contact you.
Malcolm: The truth is, if I wouldn't have ran into Olivia at Heathrow, I wouldn't know about any of this, and you'd have been just fine with that, wouldn't you have?
Lily: (Sighs) I just want it so badly, but it's slipping away. (Sighs) It's great. I eat anything that I want.
Cane: Hey, that's enough of that talk, okay? We didn't let our marriage slip away, did we? You know, other couples would have, but we held on.
Lily: Yeah, but that was our decision to make. This isn’t.
Cane: I know. Listen, you still have control over this. It is your choice if you keep fighting. And you just have to believe that one day... one day, it's gonna be you out here chasing our little kids around.
Lily: (Sighs) It just takes a lot of energy to fight off all these doubts.
Cane: I know. Do you remember the odds of Mackenzie getting pregnant with our one and only chance?
Lily: (Sighs)
Cane: Yeah. I believe that someone is out there looking out for us.
Cane: You just have to believe that everything's gonna be okay... (Rubbing Lily's back) Okay?
Lily: (Whispers) Yeah.
Cane: Okay?
Lily: (Sighs)
Neil: Oh, uh, I'm sorry, I-- you know what, man? I must have missed that memo-- the one that says I'm responsible for keeping you up-to-date with what's going on with the family. Which, by the way, you've shown zero-- zero interest in in--how long has it been, Malcolm?
Malcolm: Look, Neil, when my daughter has a life-threatening illness--
Neil: Hey, you want to know what's going on with Lily? You make the effort, man. You keep in touch. You--you know what it is? You expect other people to do for you what you're supposed to be doing for yourself.
Malcolm: Oh, that hasn't-- that speech hasn't changed since high school.
Neil: (Scoffs) That's 'cause it's like you never left high school.
Malcolm: No, I did, Neil. I did, and I'm not the same person I was then, okay? But you, you still treat me the same way. You still judge me the same way.
Neil: Yeah, you want to know why? Because you're still-- you're still pulling the same crap. Yeah, just as arrogant, just as entitled. You breeze into town. You got that swagger. You're flashin' that smile, bumpin' your gums, disappearing when things don't go your way.
Malcolm: Don't go my way? When I blew out my knee, I lost everything-- the scholarships, the football career, and any chance I had to be anybody. At least, that's what I thought. And, no, I didn't handle it well. Can you blame me for that?
Neil: Yeah, I can. You see, because I blame you for what you did to the family. Do you have any idea-- do you have any idea what it did to them watching you fall apart, lashing out?!
Malcolm: Yeah, I do, Neil. Why the hell do you think I took off?
Neil: Yeah. (Scoffs) See, that--that right there-- that's your solution, always the answer for you. You don't like what you're hearing, right? You don't get the applause that you think you deserve, and you're a ghost. It doesn't matter who or what you leave behind. Well, let me tell you something, man. I am not gonna let you do that to Lily.
Daniel: I mean, you know, poor Jana-- scared and alone all this time.
Kevin: Well, hopefully not alone, not if Lauren's with her now.
Amber: We'll find her.
Kevin: Yeah, well, I think it's just more than we can handle on our own. Michael and Paul are workin' with the police.
Amber: Well, I mean, there are certain things that we can do that they can’t. Hmm?
Kevin: No, no, I don't have time to mess around with that thing right now.
Amber: Oh, come on. Jana would want you to try. In fact, she used this when she found the photo of Ryder, the one that was torn in half.
Kevin: She did?
Amber: Mm-hmm.
Kevin: Did it tell you anything?
Amber: Well...
Kevin: "Well" what? What did it say?
Amber: Well... (Sighs) It kept spelling the word "Dead." But it wasn't, like, predicting a death. We--we were asking who was in the other side of the picture, and then--Kevin, we--
Daniel: Nice going.
Jeff: Why would Lauren bail out the kids who were drugging her?
Michael: Maybe she wasn't aware she was doing it.
Kevin: Or we think she could still be under the influence of the toxins in her system.
Jeff: What's with the fake name?
Michael: There really is a Sarah Smythe from Green Bay. She's a nurse, and she's connected with Tom Fisher.
Gloria: He never mentioned her to me.
Kevin: Well, Paul is in Green Bay right now digging up whatever he can on her.
Michael: I think if we find her, we find Jana and Lauren.
Sarah: Well, make yourself comfortable. I'll work as fast as I can, but it still may take me some time to completely destroy your life.
Daisy: No, no, no. Take your time. She spent years making our mother miserable.
Jana: Are you that stupid? Are you gonna believe everything that she tells you? You know, if you would have done just one scrap of research, Daisy, you would know that it was Sheila who tormented Lauren, and not the other way 'round.
Lauren: And abandoned her children to do it. I mean, here you are avenging her death, and she never, ever even mentioned you.
Daisy: Good thing she didn't, or you would have come after us the same way you did her.
Lauren: You're not buying this, are you? They're talking about a sadistic, vindictive woman. You know that's not me.
Ryder: Aren't you forgetting that you treated me like dirt since the moment we met?
Lauren: I was suspicious of your motives. And I had good reason, didn't I?
Daisy: Like you had good reason to murder our mother?
Lauren: It was self-defense. I had no choice.
Sarah: You killed my sister. You orphaned her children. Look at her. Look at her, Lauren. Look at how happy she was before she met you.
Lauren: Is this you? Before?
Sarah: Yes. Before I made it my life's mission to bring you down.
Daisy: Why are we even bothering keeping them alive? They don't deserve it.
Sarah: Lauren deserves to suffer. And, oh, she will when she watches me take over her life.
Daisy: What about Jana? We don't need her.
Sarah: I'll think about it. Get Lauren's purse. We're going shopping.
Ryder: What's the matter, Daisy? Ticked off 'cause Jana called you stupid?
Daisy: Not a mistake anyone makes twice.
Ryder: When did you become so cold-blooded?
Daisy: Well, somebody's gotta do all the dirty work, and since you're too much of a wimp--
Ryder: I'm not scared of anything.
Daisy: (Scoffs) Except maybe me.
Ryder: (Sighs)
Jana: Lauren, does Kevin really believe those awful things I said to him on the phone?
Lauren: Well, he was confused, but... he never stopped loving you.
Jana: Really? (Sighs) Maybe it was him I heard the other night then.
Lauren: Oh, Honey, I-I don't think he'd know where to look.
Jana: No, maybe-- maybe he's coming here with Michael soon.
Lauren: Look, Jana. Jana, we can't count on that. All right, now you said that you escaped before.
Jana: Yeah. Yeah, but Ryder caught me. You know what, though? I think he was this close... to letting me go.
Lauren: He doesn't seem to be enjoying this like Daisy is.
Jana: But, you know, I have been working him ever since I've been here.
Lauren: Maybe if just the two of us try to convince him...
Jana: Okay, it's worth a try.
Lauren: We need to find a code word so you always know it's me and not Sarah. I was in this position when Sheila looked like Phyllis.
Jana: Oh, God, 'cause you didn't know who to shoot. Yeah, I think a code word is definitely a good idea.
Kevin: Is that from Paul? The info on Sarah Smythe?
Michael: You know, I was thinking maybe Sarah Smythe looks something like Lauren.
Daniel: Oh, that-- that would explain what you saw on the security tape, right? I mean--I mean, Lauren bailing out Daisy and Ryder.
Gloria: Michael?
Michael: Huh? Uh, no. No. But she does look familiar somehow.
Kevin: Let me see.
Amber: Wow, I think so, too.
Daniel: Do you think you know her?
Jeff: Maybe she was in here spying on all of us.
Michael: She's a suspect in a series of unexplained deaths-- all patients of hers.
Amber: That's creepy.
Kevin: And these here are notes from the cold case file. The detective thought that she was guilty as sin, but didn't have any evidence, any proof. Then she disappeared.
Daniel: And there's no known address since that.
Jeff: Great. So what we got here is a whole bunch of nothing.
Amber: Well, we have her picture. We could plaster it all over the place like when we did the Katherine shirts, you know?
Gloria: No. I want you to stay out of it. I want the pros to handle it this time.
Kevin: We don't have that kind of time anyway. We need to find them now.
Michael: Well, there's gotta be something in here to tell us where to start.
Malcolm: So-- so this attitude that you got is all about protecting Lily, just like rippin' on me as a kid was for the family's sake. I mean, God forbid that anybody slip up and make the mistake of thinkin' that I was someone special.
Neil: Everybody knew you were special, Malcolm. Because if they forgot, you reminded them. Always dropping names of coaches who came to see you play, right? Girls that called, lined up around the block, "Mama, here come that man." Tellin' everybody that you were gonna pay 'em, you know, when you hit the big time. "Here's some money for you. Here's some money for you. Neil, here's nothin' for you." You remember that, don't you?
Malcolm: No, what I remember is how fast all those "Friends" disappeared when I blew out my knee. 17 years old, and any dreams, any hopes I had, went up in smoke. I was scared to death, Neil.
Neil: And what about all the family that loved you?
Malcolm: What about you, Neil? What about you, huh? Did you heart break for your baby brother when his dream died? Or were you lovin' it?
Neil: What are you talkin' about?
Malcolm: I'm just keepin' it real, Bro. I knew. Every time I screwed up, you were vindicated. It was just proof that I was who you thought I was.
Neil: You see? You see what you're trying to do right here right now? You see, you're trying to-- you're trying to pin your choices, your irresponsibilities on me.
Malcolm: You wore my mistakes like a damn badge of valor-- "Neil the righteous," "Neil the reliable," Neil, who deserved to have everything good, while Malcolm deserved to have everything bad. Man, I started to believe that crap, man. It took me years to get away from that, to get away from you, to come into my own. And I'm sure as hell not gonna let you decide or define who I am. Where I go, what I do is on me. And I'm just as much a part of this family as you are, and I'm stayin'!
Lily: Listen, I don't want to scare you, but I can't keep pretending that I'm not scared.
Cane: I know you're scared. But you can't focus on the fear.
Lily: (Sighs)
Cane: It'll make you weak, and you need your strength. You gotta keep believing everything's gonna be okay.
Lily: (Scoffs) No one had a better attitude than Harry.
Cane: I know. I know.
Lily: (Sighs) Listen, I'm not giving up hope, okay? I'm not. But it's possible-- I mean, it's more than possible that my babies will grow up without a mom. (Sighs) And it breaks my heart, you know? But I have to talk about it. And if it's too hard for you to hear, then I can talk to Emily.
Cane: No. No, you can--you can talk to me about anything.
Lily: I'm sorry, you know? I just-- I wish I had more faith. But it's harder now that we're running out of options.
Cane: Maybe we should talk about some of those options, huh?
Lily: Yeah.
Cane: Maybe we should hear 'em from an expert, though.
Lily: Hi.
Olivia: I'm so sorry I couldn't be here sooner.
Lily: Oh, hey, are you kidding me? I was so proud of you for going to Haiti with Doctors without Borders. And plus, I was in good hands, so...
Olivia: Well, I want you to know, I've been in constant contact with your doctor, so I know where you're at.
Cane: Then you know it wasn't the news we were hoping for.
Lily: Yeah, I have a lot of decisions to make.
Olivia: I'm hoping you'll let me help you with that.
Lily: Of course. (Chuckles)
Olivia: Good.
Lily: There is no one that I would trust more.
Olivia: Well, I've been doing a lot of research. I have a lot of information I left back at your house. Let's go take a look at it. I-I'd just love to show you.
Lily: Okay. Right now?
Olivia: Yes.
Lily: Okay.
Jeff: As soon as you get this, give me a call, okay?
Gloria: What was that about?
Jeff: Uh, nothing. A little surprise.
Gloria: What are you up to, Jeffrey?
Jeff: Wait and see.
Gloria: (Chuckles)
Kevin: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a sec.
Michael: What?
Kevin: Sarah Smythe had kids, a boy and a girl.
Amber: Ryder and Daisy?
Kevin: Well, it can't be, not both of them. These two are twins, and Daisy's gotta be, what, 17?
Daniel: Are there any pictures of them?
Kevin: Uh, no. But it looks like they have their own unsolved mystery. A friend of theirs went missing, and they were the only two witnesses.
Michael: I don't like the sound of that. (Sighs)
Kevin: Neither did the cop, but again, no proof.
Daniel: Well, I'm sensing a theme.
Amber: What if Ryder is one of the twins, and Sarah's his mother, and the person who is in the missing half of the photo, the one that the Ouija board said was dead, is that missing kid?
Michael: Ouija board?
Amber: Mm-hmm.
Gloria: Well, then what's Daisy connection?
Kevin: Girlfriend?
Daniel: No, no, Daisy said that she's never had a boyfriend.
Michael: All right, I gotta get Fenmore home.
Kevin: (Sighs)
Amber: Can I come with? I want to go through Daisy's things.
Michael: Yeah, sure. I've already done it, but, you know, a fresh pair of eyes...
Amber: Okay.
Michael: All right, meet you at the car.
Amber: Okay.
Kevin: You want me to take this?
Michael: Yeah, please.
Jeff: Um, you go ahead. I've got a meeting.
Gloria: I don't think so. I'm gonna stick with you, make sure you stay out of trouble.
Jana: Okay, what's a good code word?
Lauren: Um, it has to be simple and memorable and hard to guess.
Jana: (Sighs) Well, I guess we can't use the purple pencil skirt thing anymore, can we?
Lauren: No, definitely not.
(Door rattles)
Jana: Oh, thank God it's you and not your lunatic aunt. Um...
Lauren: Thank you.
Jana: Thanks. Lauren, you know, Ryder here has been as nice to me as Daisy will allow the whole time I've been here. He has.
Ryder: Yeah, well, I wouldn't read too much into that.
Lauren: How'd they get you to do this?
Ryder: You act like I had a choice.
Jana: You do. Choose Kevin. Choose his family, Ryder, our family, not this one! God, we treated you better than... than they ever would.
Ryder: You think he'll visit me in prison?
Lauren: Look, you get us outta here, and we'll protect you.
Ryder: Says the woman who murdered my mother.
Lauren: She had me trapped with Phyllis and our babies. I had to save them.
Ryder: Well, you did it for your kid, and I'm doin' it for my mom.
Jana: God, you barely knew her!
Ryder: That's her fault.
Lauren: Ryder. Ryder, get real. The reason your mother abandoned you was not because she was preoccupied with me. It was because she was a horrible mother.
Ryder: I didn't say she was a good mother. I said she was mine. Sarah and Daisy didn't force me into this. You did the day you pulled the trigger.
Neil: Well, so now you're a family man, huh?
Malcolm: I don't expect you to believe that. Come on. It's much too satisfying for you to think of me as the black sheep of the family, the perpetual screw-up. We both know you'd be real disappointed if I was to come through for Lily and be somebody she could really rely on.
Neil: Now that's not true at all.
Malcolm: (Sighs) Here's the thing, Bro-- we're never gonna be the best of friends. We got no trust between us and nothing in common.
Neil: Except for Lily.
Malcolm: Except for Lily. And the last thing she deserves is to see us sittin' up takin' shots at each other.
Neil: Yeah. Yeah, you're right about that. That's the last thing she needs.
Malcolm: So we agree? A 100-foot radius around Lily's a no-fire zone? All this stuff gets pushed to the side. Besides, it's got nothin' to do with her anyway.
Neil: Outside of that?
Malcolm: We stay out of each other's way.
Neil: Stop putting pressure on ourselves to make this relationship something that it isn't, right?
Malcolm: Come on, Bro. We--we ain't never gonna be the Huxtables.
Neil: (Chuckles)
Lauren: You don't owe Sheila a thing.
Jana: (Sighs) What is it? Do you think you're gonna win some sort of appreciation from Daisy and Sarah? Because you know what? They don't even bloody respect you. It is so obvious.
Lauren: You can't be telling yourself that this is the right thing, not when my little boy is separated from his mother, just like you were.
Ryder: You'd say anything to get out of here.
Jana: (Sighs)
Lauren: Can't you see that we are offering you a chance to be part of a real family? Where you make your own decisions. You don't follow orders.
Jana: Ryder, you lived that life before, and I know... I know you would have chosen that if you weren't so bloody afraid of Sarah.
Ryder: Sarah's not the one you need to worry about.
Lauren: Daisy?
Ryder: You treat her like she's a kid. Hell, even when she was a kid, she's done a lot worse than lock people in cages.
Lauren: (Sighs)
Daniel: Yeah, where was it?
Amber: Hidden in the lining of Daisy's jacket.
Michael: Yeah, she always had that on.
Amber: Bet you that's the boy that went missing, the one that the Ouija board said was dead. It--it could have been any one of them that killed him, or all of them together.
Daniel: Amber.
Amber: Not that I-I think that they would do anything like that to Jana or Lauren.
Fen: Daddy, I'm thirsty.
Amber: Um, I'll get you some juice, Honey. Um, go back to your room. I'll--I'll bring it to you.
Kevin: Daisy lied about her age.
Michael: How do you know that?
Kevin: Because she's as tall as Ryder is in the other half of that photo, maybe even a little taller. And that would make her his twin sister... which means that she's also my sister. (Sighs)
Jana: Ryder, please help us. Please, you need to listen.
Ryder: I'm in this just as deep as my sister is. There's no way out.
Lauren: That's not true. That's not—
(Door rattles)
Sarah: You like? It's so you, isn't it?
Jana: You'll never pull this off. You know why? You don't have any class.
Sarah: Get me Lauren's purse...
Sarah: And her wedding ring.
Daisy: (Chuckles)
Lauren: No. No. No--
Daisy: Give it to me, or I'll cut it off.
Lauren: (Gasps)
Daisy: (Chuckles)
Sarah: Hmm. Mind the animals, Kiddies. It's time for Lauren to go home.
Michael: How's Fenmore?
Amber: He fell asleep.
Daniel: You know, maybe Daisy didn't really understand what was going on, you know? It's possible that Ryder tricked her into getting involved.
Michael: No, don't kid yourself. She was an active participant.
Kevin: Yeah, playing the "Sweet young thing" was just part of her cover.
Amber: And all that time she spent flirting with you, that was just all part of the act.
Michael: Pretending she was in high school? That got her closer to Eden... got her close enough to direct suspicion her way. You know, Eden never trusted Daisy.
Amber: No, neither did I.
Daniel: What? You're the one that recommended her for the boutique.
Amber: But later, I started picking up on things.
Daniel: Come on, you just thought that she was coming on to me. You didn't think that she was a psychopath.
Kevin: You guys.
Daniel: Sorry.
Michael: There's still one thing that does not make sense. Why Lauren? If these are Tom and his lover's children, maybe they're bitter about what happened to him, but why not go after the Abbotts? I mean, it was John who killed Tom Fisher.
Kevin: Or go after my mom and me, his other family. (Sighs)
Michael: There's more to this story. There has to be. How do we find it?
Cane: Okay, so this is an F.D.A.-approved drug, right?
Olivia: It is...
Cane: Okay.
Olivia: For breast and lung cancer. But in the area of ovarian cancer, it's considered investigational.
Lily: So basically, I'm a guinea pig?
Cane: (Sighs)
Olivia: Its third-phase trial, and the results have been very promising.
Lily: Okay, and--and what's this one?
Olivia: Immunotherapy. This helps stimulate your own immune system so it can better fight the cancer, and this one, this is an agent that inhibits the blood vessels around the tumor.
Cane: Okay, so you're saying basically starve the tumor to death, right?
Olivia: Exactly.
Lily: Well, that's a really creative approach.
Olivia: That's what I wanted you to understand. There are so many brilliant minds out there, all working on curing cancer. I mean, they're coming at it from all different angles.
Lily: And I'm eligible for all of these clinical trials?
Olivia: You are. What we need now is to narrow it down so we can find the one that would best give you success. I just wanted you to see how many options there were out there.
Lily: Thank you, Aunt Liv.
Cane: (Sighs)
Lily: I've been really scared.
Olivia: (Sighs) I know, Sweetheart. But don't give up hope, okay?
Lily: Okay, I won’t.
(Knock on door)
Lily: Oh. Well, that's exciting. (Chuckles)
Olivia: (Speaking indistinctly)
Cane: Hey, Neil.
Neil: Hey, there he is-- my son-in-law. Good to see you, my man.
Lily: Hey, Dad.
Neil: Oh, hey, Lily.
Lily: Look who's here.
Neil: Oh, my good--
Olivia: Hey!
Neil: Who is this?
Olivia: Neil, how are you?
Neil: (Laughs) So good to see you.
Olivia: Oh, so good to see you, too. I missed you.
Neil: Yeah, you look beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
Olivia: Thank you. Oh, my--Malcolm?
Malcolm: (Sighs) Olivia. You look terrific.
Olivia: You do, too. I-I-it's just-- it's been so long. How long--it's been years.
Neil: Call me crazy, but didn't you say you ran into Olivia at Heathrow Airport?
Cane: Yeah, that's how you, uh, found out Lily was sick, right?
Lily: Uncle Malcolm?
Jeff: You know, you really should trust me.
Gloria: Yeah, give me one good reason.
Jeff: I found Kevin when he was missing the last time, didn't I?
Gloria: It turned into a three-ring circus, and my son ended up in a padded cell.
Jeff: Yeah, well, it wasn't me that called the cops. I was gonna handle the whole thing discreetly.
Gloria: Would you just tell me what you're planning?
Jeff: I don't want to get your hopes up. I'm a phone call away from sealing the deal.
(Cell phone rings)
Gloria: Gimme that.
Jeff: (Sighs)
Gloria: Hello? And who may I say is calling? I'm afraid he's gonna have to get back to you. Amos Slaughter, bounty hunter?
Jeff: He did a damn fine job for us the last time.
Gloria: I told you I want the professionals handling this.
Jeff: He is a professional.
Gloria: Oh, yeah? Really? How good can he be? Does he have his own reality show? (Sighs) Jeffrey, Lauren and Jana are in serious trouble, and I want things done the right way. At the very least, we're not gonna screw it up.
Ryder: (Sighs)
Daisy: How'd it go while we were gone?
Ryder: No problems.
Daisy: They, uh, tried to make you help them escape, I'm sure. They know you're the weak link.
Ryder: I'm not weak.
Daisy: Good, 'cause that would be a really boneheaded move. And it wouldn't work out well, not just for you, but for anyone who might know where we're hiding, like Abby.
Jana: Aah!
Lauren: Jana!
Jana: (Gasps)
Lauren: Oh, my God, Jana. What is it?
Jana: (Gasps)
Lauren: What is it?
Jana: Oh, God, I get these awful headaches when I'm stressed. (Gasps)
Lauren: Oh, God.
Jana: (Sighs)
Lauren: God, we have to get out of here.
Jana: (Gasps) (Sighs) We will. We will soon. Sarah's not gonna be able to fool Michael. Oh, God.
Lauren: You're right.
Jana: (Sighs)
Lauren: You're right.
Jana: (Groans)
Lauren: He knows me too well.
Jana: (Sighs)
Michael: All right, uh, I'm just gonna check again and see if anyone's been using Lauren's cell phone. They said they'd have some word. (Sighs)
Amber: Thank God!
Sarah: (Sighs) It's so good to be home.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Abby: Did you have something to do with Jana's disappearance?
Amber: Take me to the old amusement park where you were looking for her.
Sarah: I'm so sorry, Michael, but I slept with him.
