J.T.: I can't believe she's been here the whole time, either. All right, yeah, Paul, I'll call you back as soon as I get some more information. Okay.

Victoria: Hi, I got your message. What's going on?

J.T.: Hey. Uh, we found Mary Jane Benson.

Victoria: Oh, you're kidding me.

J.T.: Yeah, unfortunately, she slipped away before we could catch her.

Victoria: Where was she?

J.T.: Here. Yeah, Mac thought she was a homeless person and took her in. Who you calling?

Victoria: My father. He's been going crazy wondering which lunatic--

J.T.: No, no, no, no, no, no, don't--

Victoria: No.

J.T.: No, don't do that. Hold on a second. I think your father might be the person who brought her here in the first place. Let--

Victoria: That's ridiculous. What are you--?

J.T.: Somebody slipped a note in my pocket that said "If you want to know about Mary Jane, ask Victor Newman." And I'm pretty sure it was her. I'm pretty sure it was Mary Jane.

Victoria: And you just believe her.

J.T.: Well, someone's clearly been targeting the Newman family.

Victoria: The same way you've been targeting my father?

J.T.: What?

Victoria: The board meeting. After what happened with Colleen, you--it's--you've just been itching to get at him.

J.T.: You really think I'd do that?

Victoria: These days, I don't know what you would or wouldn't do.

J.T.: (Scoffs)

Lauren: Okay, now tell Kevin to be really careful, all right?

Eden: Okay.

Lauren: Because these love beads-- do you have a finger?

Eden: Uh, yeah, right there.

Lauren: Okay, there you go. They're authentic, and they could break, all right?

Eden: Okay, I'll be sure to let him know.

Lauren: Thanks, Honey. I appreciate it.

Eden: Okay. Oh, hey, Amber.

Amber: Hi, Honey. Hi.

Lauren: Hi! Come on in.

Michael: Well, tell him that my client and I ne-need more time. Wh--fine, fine then. Thank you.

Lauren: Babe, Amber's just gonna use the office, okay?

Michael: Great.

Amber: Yeah, you know, if this isn't a good time, I mean, I can't avoid running into Daniel forever.

Lauren: Oh, no, it's fine. It's fine, right? Right?

Michael: It's fine.

Lauren: See, its fine.

Amber: You probably haven't seen much of him lately now that the charges against him have been dropped, huh?

Lauren: Uh, she's gonna find out.

Michael: The D.A. has decided not to drop the charges after all.

(Knock on door)

Kevin: If you're trying to give me a heart attack, it worked. What the hell took you so long?

Daniel: Relax, dude. I had to go to three different stores to find this damn thing.

Kevin: (Gasps)

Daniel: Is that gonna work?

Kevin: That is perfect.

Daniel: Cool. Well, I'm outta here.

Kevin: Hey, hey, hey, you know what? You don't have to go. We, um, you know, you could stay, and we could call Amber, see if she wants to be part of this, too.

Daniel: Yeah, that ship's kind of sailed, my friend.

Kevin: You sure about that?

Daniel: Yeah, I'm positive about that. Right now, I just gotta focus on beating these charges.

Kevin: Well, isn't that Michael's job?

Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, that's Michael's job, and he's doing a great job, but, look, I got a feeling that Deacon has another bomb up his sleeve just ready to drop at that trial, and if I don't figure out what it is, then I don't know, I'm gonna wind up spending the rest of my life in jail.

Cane: Is this all you want to bring?

Neil: Put the bag down, man.

Cane: Neil, I'm not trying to just--

Neil: She's not gonna go with you.

Lily: Dad, I get why you think this is a mistake.

Neil: Lily, I don't think, all right? I don't think, I know.

Devon: Okay, having him come see you in the hospital is one thing, but moving back in with the guy?

Neil: I'm not gonna allow it.

Lily: Dad, it is not up to you.

Devon: Lily, whatever he said to you, just--

Lily: He didn't say anything. This is my decision.

Neil: Have you-- have you forgotten what he did to you?

Lily: Dad, I am not jumping blindly back into anything. I need to be there, okay? Especially now. Dad, that house is where I saw my future. I need to remember more than ever that I have one to fight for.

Neil: A future? A future with him?

Lily: Okay, I am going, and I would like to leave with your blessing.

Neil: Lily, hold on. Wait a minute, hold on. This man--Cane broke your heart, not once, but twice. Do you really, honestly expect me to give you my blessing so he can break your heart a third time?

Lily: (Sighs)

Deacon: All right, so you're clear on what you're doing, right? You understand that Fisher's the key to this entire operation?

Ryder: I've already planted the seeds.

Deacon: Okay.

Ryder: I'll have that crazy chipmunk eating out of my hand before the night's over.

(Door closes)

Jana: Kevin? Kev, are you here?

Jana: Oh, my God.

(Gasps)

Kevin: (Clears throat) Hello. Happy anniversary.

Jana: My God. It's just like the ashram we got married in. (Gasps) Well, how'd you get all this?

Kevin: Well, does that mean you like it?

Jana: I love it, and I love you. God.

Kevin: Mm.

Jana: Thank you.

Kevin: You're welcome.

Jana: Look at you. Where'd you get the clothes?

Kevin: Oh, Lauren had all this in storage, and, uh, this is for you, too.

Jana: (Laughs) And what is this?

Kevin: You know, since, uh...

Jana: (Gasps)

Kevin: Since you couldn't go Goth last time.

Jana: (Laughs) Oh, well, that is very funny, isn't it?

Kevin: Go ahead, put it on.

Jana: Okay, I'll try. How's that?

Kevin: Ooh.

Jana: You like it?

Kevin: Oh, it looks so good.

Jana: Yeah?

Kevin: I forgot how much I love this look on you.

Jana: (Laughs)

Kevin: Come here.

Jana: Do you really like it?

Kevin: Yeah, it looks great. Okay, listen, um, in all seriousness...

Jana: Hmm.

Kevin: In all seriousness, uh, I know that nothing about this first year has been easy between Mrs. Chancellor disappearing and-- and all that chipmunk stuff, me in the padded cell, amongst other things, but, um, but they say that the first year is the hardest, right? So it's gonna be smooth sailing from here on out. I promise.

Jana: Aw.

J.T.: Can we just start over, please?

Victoria: Not if you're gonna trash my father, we can't start over, no.

J.T.: (Sighs) All right, let's-- let's just pretend for a second that Mary Jane did make that note up. Why would Victor get so defensive when I ask him about it?

Victoria: What--what-- why wouldn't he? First, some stranger terrorizes his own family, and then you, his own son-in-law, accuses him of being in on it with her.

J.T.: Why are you pretending like Victor's above anything underhanded?

Victoria: This isn't even about Mary Jane, is it? This is about you trying to turn me against my own father.

J.T.: (Sighs) Where you going?

Victoria: Oh, I-- the only way to avoid a fight is if one of us leaves.

J.T.: Is that really the only answer?

Victoria: Do you have a better suggestion?

J.T.: No.

(Sighs)

(Sighs)

(Door closes)

J.T.: (Sighs) Can I get a beer?

Man: Sure.

Colleen: Hey.

J.T.: I thought you left.

Colleen: I did, but I'm glad I came back. You look like you could use a friend.

J.T.: (Scoffs)

Lily: Dad, I know this isn't easy for you.

Neil: Honey, it's not me. It's--it's not me. It's you--you. I'm worried about you.

Lily: I told you when I was in the hospital that I was not gonna let this cancer stop me from living my life.

Neil: But th-this is--this is the kind of life you want? You want--you want a life with a guy who-- who already hurt you?

Devon: (Sighs)

Neil: Because I can guarantee you, Honey, he's gonna hurt you all over again.

Cane: No, I won't, Neil.

Neil: I'm not talking to you, Cane.

Lily: Dad, please.

(Sighs)

Neil: You know what you need to do? You need to stay here. You need to stay here right in this house and get through your chemotherapy.

Devon: That's absolutely right. I mean, can't you wait for this?

Lily: No, s-stop. I don't want to just wait. I don't want to just get through. I want to live. I want to laugh. I want to feel as good as I can feel so when I am going through chemo, I will have made memories to help get me through it.

Neil: Lily, I'm not gonna let you walk out that door.

Lily: It's more than Cane. Y-y-you're afraid I'm gonna die. Dad, I am not gonna die, okay? That is not gonna happen. I am gonna beat this.

Neil: (Sighs)

Lily: But I can't do it alone. I need you. I need all of you to help get me through it. Dad, please say that you will be there, no matter what.

Neil: Yeah.

Lily: I love you.

Neil: I love you, too.

Lily: (Sighs)

Amber: No. No, saving Daniel was the only reason why I slept with Deacon, and now you're telling me that I risked every-- I lost everything for nothing?

Lauren: All right, Honey, you had no idea that this was gonna happen.

Amber: (Sighs)

Michael: Yes, and I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure Daniel doesn't end up in jail.

Amber: It doesn't matter what you do. Deacon will keep making Daniel pay until he gets what he wants, and what he wants is me.

Lauren: You are not gonna sacrifice yourself again, that's for sure.

Amber: You know, if-- if I play it smart this time, then I won't have to.

Michael: Ooh, uh, mm, this time?

Amber: Yeah, I-if I can get close enough to Deacon to make him think that I'm interested, then maybe I can get those charges dropped. I can find the evidence and--and get 'em dropped for good. You know what? I'll start by getting a room at the Athletic Club on his floor.

Lauren: (Scoffs) You'll do no such thing.

Michael: No, Lauren's right. If Deacon is as obsessed with you as he seems to be and he finds out that you've been playing him, who knows how he'll retaliate?

Amber: You're right. It's too risky, but I still think I'm gonna get a room at the club. No, no, um, n-not on his floor. Don't worry. It's just, um, I've taken advantage of Kevin and Jana's hospitality for a little too long, and... (Sighs) I need a place to crash, so...

Lauren: Well, you got one-- here, with us.

Jana: Aw.

Kevin: Mm.

Jana: So where'd you get all this stuff anyway?

Kevin: Well, I borrowed it from the new owners of the ashram.

Jana: Really?

Kevin: Mm-hmm.

Jana: Well, how did they even afford to send it?

Kevin: (Makes kissing sound) Well, I made a small donation. I think that persuaded them.

Jana: Oh. A-a-a donation? Where'd you get the money, Darling?

Kevin: Well, does it matter? Once the chipmunk copyright comes through, we're gonna have enough money to buy ten ashrams.

Jana: Okay, so you didn't actually have the money then.

Kevin: (Scoffs) Jana, I'm getting a ton of requests already from all the local schools about "Embrace your inner chipmunk" t-shirts and mugs and hats, and Michael says if this keeps up...

Jana: (Sighs)

Kevin: I can get a book deal out of this.

Jana: Okay.

Kevin: And, yes, a portion of the proceeds will go to charity like we discussed.

Jana: Right, so while you're signing autographs and selling t-shirts, when are you actually gonna find the time to do what you said you wanted to do, if you remember, was to help people?

Kevin: Oh, well, why can't I do that and make money at the same time?

Jana: (Sighs)

Kevin: Oh, come on, Jana. Do you want to work here for the rest of your life? I'm just saying you deserve more-- we both do-- and if my helping people affords me the chance to give us more, then what are you so worried about?

(Knock on door)

Kevin: It's that Ryder kid. Hold on.

Ryder: I know the sign says "Closed," but when I saw you two...

Kevin: Um...

Ryder: Are--are you guys having some kind of costume party?

Jana: Oh.

(Scoffs)

Kevin: Uh, today, uh, today is our a-anniversary.

Jana: (Clears throat)

Ryder: Oh, y-you know what? Forget it. I'm--okay.

Kevin: Oh, wait, you know what? Wait, wait. Uh, c-come here. Come here. You know what? Um, I'm here to help. I'm here to help. That's-- that's why I'm here, right? I'm here to help. Come on in.

Lily: Okay, just look after him. He's really upset.

Devon: Well, yeah, you're still his little girl. You know that.

Neil: You'd better take care of my little girl.

Cane: I will.

Lily: All right, well, you ready?

Cane: Yeah. Humphrey's in the car. We're all set.

Lily: Okay, let's go.

Lily: Thank you.

Devon: Um, Neil.

Neil: Hmm?

Devon: I want to say thank you for not telling Lily about me and, uh...

Neil: Yeah, yeah.

Devon: You know.

Neil: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, she's got enough to deal with.

(Knock on door)

Neil: Maybe she came to her senses.

Tyra: (Sighs) I need to-- (Sighs) You told him?

Neil: (Sighs) I need to speak to her alone.

Tyra: Look, Neil, what we did--what I did-- there's no excuse.

Neil: No, Tyra, there really isn't an excuse. You know, it's funny. I just watched my daughter walk out that door with a man who lied to her and broke her heart, and now I'm standing in my very own living room...

Tyra: With someone that did the same thing.

Neil: I did the same thing to Karen so I could be with you, and now look at this-- you and my son.

Tyra: Neil, look, I am so sorry.

Neil: You're so sorry. Yeah, me, too. Tyra, if you expect me to make you feel worse than you already feel, I'm sorry, I can't do that. I can't blame or be angry at anyone but myself for this, for my marriage falling apart, for losing my family. It's me. It's all me. I did it, and now do you see what's happening? I could lose one of the most important parts of my life yet again, and there's not a damn thing I can do about it.

Cane: Are you hungry? Can I get you something to eat? Do you want to watch a movie? Come here.

Lily: Uh, what I really want is for you to tell me what happened with Phillip.

Cane: Let's talk about that later. I want you to eat first, okay?

Michael: Don't you think we should discuss this before I drag out the inflatable mattress? I mean, no offense. Sorry.

Lauren: It's just a few days, maybe weeks.

Michael: Weeks? Look, I don't want her near Sharpe any more than you do, but we are already on top of each other here.

Lauren: Yeah, but I thought that's the way you like it.

Michael: Sweetie...

Lauren: Come on.

Michael: No...

Amber: Uh, you know, um, maybe I should just leave you two alone to kind of hash this out in private.

Lauren: As long as you're not going anywhere near Deacon.

Amber: Oh, no, I made that mistake once before. I just, um, brought the wrong sketch pad.

Lauren: Okay. Well, then I'll have your sheets and towels ready when you get back.

Amber: Thanks.

(Door closes)

Michael: You don't see any conflict of interest in having one of my star witnesses living with us?

Lauren: Yeah, well, of course I do, but you know the problems if she's gonna be living in the same place as Deacon. I mean, you know she's not gonna be able to resist getting all involved, and then there's gonna be more problems for Daniel. So if you want to win this case, start pumping up the mattress.

Kevin: Hey, so, uh, why don't you start by, uh, telling me why you're here?

Ryder: I need to tell somebody, but it's bad.

Kevin: Well, there's not a lot that can shock me.

Ryder: You don't know what I've done.

Kevin: What have you done? Have you lied, stolen, what?

Ryder: Worse.

Daniel: Hey, Kev. Hey.

Kevin: (Clears throat) Um, Daniel Romalotti, this is, uh, Ryder.

Daniel: Ryder, huh? Ryder what?

Ryder: Just Ryder.

Kevin: Um, I'm kind of in the middle of something here.

Daniel: Yeah, I can see that.

Kevin: So why did you come back?

Daniel: Just thought I'd come and see how the anniversary was going.

Kevin: It's kind of on hold at the moment.

Daniel: Who's the kid?

Kevin: I don't know. I just know that he's in trouble.

Daniel: What kind of trouble?

Kevin: Why do you care?

Daniel: I don't know. I just thought maybe you should be spending the night with your wife, that's all, but, hey, what do I know, right?

Daniel: Jana.

Jana: Yeah. Hey, Daniel, I was just about to get you--

Daniel: Look, can you meet me at Jimmy's in a half-hour?

Jana: Wait, is everything all right?

Daniel: Everything's fine. I'll tell you all about it when you get there, all right? Don't tell Kevin.

Jana: Right.

Lily: Aw, tomato soup-- my favorite.

Cane: I put some of those oyster crackers there I know you like.

Lily: Thank you. So now will you stop avoiding my questions and talk to me?

Cane: (Sighs) Well, you know the basics, right?

Lily: So you growing up without a family-- that part is still true?

Cane: Yeah, that part is still true. It's one of the reasons I like bartending so much. I know it sounds silly, but for me, it was the way I connect with people.

Lily: People like Phillip Chancellor.

Cane: Yeah, people like Phillip Chancellor, only back then, he was Phillip Langley. Every night after work, we would sit down together. We'd close up the bar, and we'd tell our stories. We became friends.

Lily: You became family.

Neil: We used to laugh here. This was a place that people came to celebrate birthdays and Christmases, have a great time. Now people-- they just want to leave.

Tyra: Look, Neil, they'll be back. I don't know. Maybe now that everything's out in the open, you and I could...

Neil: I'm sorry, Tyra. I-I-I-I just can’t.

Tyra: No, it's--it's okay. I had to ask.

Neil: Lily needs to focus on her chemotherapy, and I need to help her do that, you know? And you and Devon...

Tyra: Look, Neil, it was a mistake, okay? And I just wish it could be forgotten. Maybe the only way that can happen is if I leave town. (Sighs) Look, Aunt Virginia wrote me, and, um, she hasn't really been doing too well. It's not like she doesn't have a lot of room in that great big house of hers, so I don't know. It could do Ana some good to spend time with her. Maybe me, too.

Neil: I'm not telling you to go.

Tyra: I know, but it's time. I left some stuff in the back, so I'm gonna go pack it up, okay?

Neil: (Sighs)

J.T.: It's like suddenly Victor can't do anything wrong, and I can't do anything right. (Scoffs) You don't want to hear this.

Colleen: It's okay.

J.T.: Mm, no, it's not.

Colleen: (Sighs)

J.T.: So tell me, why'd you come back here?

Colleen: (Scoffs) To call a cab. I, uh, I got a flat in the parking lot.

(Scoffs)

J.T.: (Laughs)

Colleen: I know, it's lame, right? I can just hear my dad scolding me for not replacing the spare.

J.T.: Yeah, yeah, I can, too. You want a lift?

Colleen: No, no, no, no, no. It's--its fine.

J.T.: You'll let me spare you from public humiliation...

Colleen: (Chuckles)

J.T.: But you won't let me give you a ride home?

Colleen: Okay, when you put it that way, yes.

J.T.: All right, let's go.

Colleen: Thanks.

Victoria: (Sighs)

Deacon: Rough night?

Victoria: Yeah, I guess you could say that, yeah.

Deacon: Another crisis on the home front?

Victoria: (Scoffs) It's getting to be a thing with me, isn't it?

Deacon: Hey, you said it, not me.

Victoria: You gonna cheer me up like you did last time?

Deacon: Well, I do have some good news. I was gonna wait until morning.

Victoria: Do I look like someone who can wait till tomorrow?

Deacon: The deal for the Koons painting went through.

Victoria: Oh, that’s...

Deacon: (Chuckles)

Victoria: That's great. (Chuckles) That's great.

Deacon: The paperwork's up in my room waiting for you to sign it.

Victoria: Well, lead the way.

Deacon: Okay.

Victoria: Oh, could you have a bottle of champagne sent up to Mr. Sharpe's room? Uh, you gave me what I needed. I think that's a-- that's a pretty good reason to celebrate.

Deacon: Absolutely.

Victoria: Okay.

Kevin: So you see, that's what the whole inner chipmunk movement is all about, right? You gather up all the dark stuff that you've done and all the stuff that's happened to you, and you channel it into something else.

Ryder: I'm not sure that'll ever be possible.

Jana: Oh, my God.

Jana: (Clears throat) Um, Kev, I've--I've got to go out for a bit.

Kevin: Uh, hold on. Hey.

Jana: Hi.

Kevin: I'm so sorry. I did not realize this was gonna take so long.

Jana: Oh, no, no, no. It's okay. Um, I've just got to, um, run a few errands. Be back in a bit, okay?

Kevin: Oh, okay.

Jana: All right.

Kevin: (Makes kissing sound)

Jana: (Chuckles)

Lauren: Well, at least Fen is excited about our newest houseguest.

Michael: That's only 'cause Amber bought him that Spider-man outfit the last time she was here.

Lauren: (Chuckles)

Michael: I'm not so sure my sister's gonna be that thrilled. After all, she's gonna be the one sharing a room with Amber.

(Door opens)

Michael: You know how Eden feels about people invading her space.

Eden: What, who's invading it now?

Lauren: Oh, it's just for a few days.

Michael: It could be weeks.

Lauren: Just until Amber gets on her feet again.

Eden: Amber Moore?

Lauren: Mm-hmm.

Michael: Hmm.

Eden: Cool.

Michael: Hmm. Well, she's gotta be out of here before Daniel's trial starts.

Lauren: I know, absolutely, but at least with her here, it's gonna keep her out of trouble with Deacon.

Michael: (Sighs)

Deacon: Sign right there.

Victoria: Right there?

Deacon: Yeah.

Victoria: (Sighs) Thank you for making this happen.

Deacon: Thanks for being open to it.

Victoria: Well, it's one of my favorite pieces. You know, the woman in it-- she just seems so haunted, and she seems so oppressed. You just-- I feel her trying to break free.

Deacon: Now don't tell me you can relate.

Victoria: Maybe I can.

Deacon: That's funny. I don't know you very well, but you strike me as a free spirit.

Victoria: (Chuckles) I used to be.

Deacon: You, um, want to tell me what happened?

Victoria: (Sighs) Just life.

Deacon: You know, Victoria, whenever I start, um, finding myself falling into the same old routine, I, um, I don't know, I do something that I've never done before.

Victoria: Does it work?

Deacon: Maybe you ought to try it.

Victoria: (Chuckles) Well, maybe I should.

Amber: Okay.

Colleen: Do you mind just waiting until I turn the lights on?

J.T.: No, not at all.

(Door closes)

J.T.: You haven't changed anything yet.

Colleen: (Sighs) No, I couldn't bring myself to. I like the reminders of my dad.

J.T.: You know, every time I come in here, I just can't help think about that--

Colleen: When we first dated? (Chuckles) No, correction-- when I went behind my dad's back to see my "Bad boy" crush, actually.

J.T.: I can see why your dad had a problem with me back then.

Colleen: He'd probably laugh to see that I'm the wild one now.

(Laughs)

J.T.: You miss him.

Colleen: Every day.

J.T.: Sorry I haven't been around much since he died.

Colleen: Well, you were there more than most. (Scoffs) You would think that Victor, my Godfather, would be looking out for me instead of setting me up to fail.

J.T.: Good ol' Victor Newman.

Colleen: You know, the sad part is I-I just wanted...

J.T.: (Sighs)

Colleen: That seat on the Newman board to honor my dad, you know? I didn't think that it would turn into this sick game of revenge. So can we get back in that time machine and go back to when things made sense?

J.T.: (Laughs) When was that?

Colleen: Um, when you and I were together.

J.T.: (Sighs)

Tyra: Well, I'm all set.

Neil: Tyra, about Ana...

Tyra: Look, don't even worry about it, okay? I will make sure that she comes back and visits. She loves this family.

Neil: She'll always be part of this family.

Tyra: Thank you for that. Look, Neil... (Sighs) You're gonna get your family back, okay? And with me gone, you and Devon will figure out a way to get past what's happened, and you guys will come together for Lily, and there will be laughter in this house again and birthdays, and you'll have Christmases. If there is anyone that is strong enough to rebuild this family, Neil, it is you. You're a good man. Never doubt that.

Tyra: Bye.

Tyra: (Sniffles)

Tyra: (Sighs)

(Door closes)

Cane: So this woman wouldn't get the message that the guy wasn't interested.

Lily: (Chuckles) And what did Phillip do?

Cane: Nothing. So I decided to help the guy out. I go and tell her that he and I are a couple.

(Laughs)

Lily: Did it work?

Cane: No. She comes back the next night, and she asks me out.

Lily: (Laughs) Oh, my God. Oh, wow.

Cane: I've missed the sound of you laughing.

Lily: (Sighs) Well, I am sure that Phillip felt he owed you after that.

Cane: Yeah. Actually, that's the first night the deal came up. I suppose after, what, two years, he finally felt comfortable to tell me that he wasn't an orphan and he had this family that he hadn't seen in a long time. The funny thing is, though, every time he'd sit there and he'd talk about Jill and Katherine, how they're always in his business, I'm sitting and I'm thinking, wow, I wish I had a family like that. So I admit this to him, and as a joke, he says, "Hey, why don't I lend you my family?" Next morning, he's serious about it, and that's when my life changed forever. Not only did I get a family, I found you. I found the love of my life. Anyway, I've, uh, I've been talking too much. I'm gonna-- I'm gonna let you get to sleep.

Lily: Yeah.

Cane: If you need anything, I'll be out here. I'll be sleeping on the sofa.

Lily: Okay. Uh, thank you.

Cane: What for?

Lily: For finally introducing me to the man that I really married.

Cane: (Sighs)

Jana: Daniel. Daniel, you will never believe what I found.

Daniel: Okay, just hang on a second.

Jana: (Sighs)

Daniel: There's something you gotta know. You know that guy that, uh, Kevin's counseling?

Jana: Yeah--Ryder.

Daniel: He's the reason that I showed up earlier, okay? I followed him there from Deacon Sharpe’s room.

Jana: Well, I've got to phone Kevin and I've got to warn him about that. That's just--

Daniel: Just--just-- not until I find something more on this guy, all right?

Jana: Well, if you say that he left Deacon's room, well, then--

Daniel: He could be dangerous, I know, which is why you gotta keep Kevin from getting too close to him.

Jana: I really should go back there now then, shouldn't I?

Daniel: Weren't you gonna show me something?

Jana: Oh, yeah, right. Right. Have you ever heard of Terroni's method of tearing off brush hairs for shading?

Daniel: Yeah, of course.

Jana: Have you ever actually done it yourself?

Daniel: No, why?

Jana: Okay. I thought these were both your forgeries.

Daniel: Well, aren't they?

Jana: Daniel, I want you to look really closely, all right? One of these uses the torn-off brush method, and the other one doesn’t.

Daniel: Holy crap.

Jana: You know what that means? That means one of these photos is of the actual $50-million Terroni.

(Sighs)

Kevin: Dude, take my word. I won't say a thing, and if you can't take that, just ask anyone who knows me. I'm a trustworthy guy.

Ryder: Yeah, which means if I told you what I did, you'd feel like you had to report it.

Kevin: If I told you everything I'd done that the cops know nothing about...

Ryder: Right.

Kevin: All right, try this. Sneaking into Victor Newman's private ranch, huh? Breaking into his son's house. Granted, Jana was there with me for that one, but still--

Ryder: Okay, that's not even close to what I've done.

Kevin: Well, how bad could it be?

Ryder: I killed a man.

J.T.: Yeah, looking back at the guy I was, I, uh, I don't think anything really made sense to him.

Colleen: Yeah, I'd like to think we've grown up a little... (Chuckles) Learned some lessons along the way, right? I know I've learned to stop taking you for granted.

J.T.: Oh, come on. You never took me for granted.

Colleen: Yes, I did. I-I thought...

J.T.: (Sighs)

Colleen: You would always be there, no matter what.

J.T.: And I will be, and we're friends.

Colleen: Is--is that all? Because, J.T., no matter how many times we ended things, I-I always thought there was something more beyond friendship, you know? Even--even now.

(Scoffs)

J.T.: Yeah, I guess that spark never really goes away.

Colleen: No, it doesn’t.

(Knock on door)

Deacon: Uh, that must be the champagne you ordered.

Victoria: Why don't you get it, and, um, I'll be right back, okay?

Deacon: Yeah, okay.

Victoria: Okay.

Deacon: Damn.

Deacon: Amber, what the hell are you--

Amber: (Crying) It's over. Daniel threw me out for good. I got nowhere else to go. I need you.

Deacon: Um, okay, okay.

Amber: I need you, Deacon.

Deacon: (Sighs)

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Ryder: I know how to handle Kevin.

Deacon: Without Kevin, we got nothing.

Colleen: Thanks again.

J.T.: Sure.

Abby: So are you gonna tell me what he was really doing here?

Deacon: I'm not just talking about sex. I want more than that from you. Marry me.
