Ashley: Oh, Adam, Adam. Hi. Come here. Um, sorry, I know this is gonna sound really strange, but, um, just did I-- did I--did I get up last night after I went to sleep? I mean, did we talk? I took a sedative last night, and it--it gave me some really bizarre dreams, and you were in one of 'em, I think.
Adam: Uh, that wasn't a dream.
Ashley: So we talked?
Adam: Yeah, you, um, you were worried that Victor was going back to Sabrina.
(Knock on door)
Victor: Hey, you two. Come in.
Victoria: Hi.
Nick: Dad, what's up?
Victor: Well, this life has many surprises in store. Your mother asked me to tell you that she has left town.
Victoria: What?
Nick: What about the wedding?
Victor: She called it off.
Paul: I guess you haven't heard. The wedding isn't happening. So, um, I'm sorry to waste your time.
Paul: (Sighs)
Paul: (Sighs)
Fr. Todd: (Sighs)
Paul: (Sighs)
Billy: Yo. (Knocks on door) Hey, I know it's early.
Chloe: Uh, Delia’s sleeping. Can you wait around for a minute? Yeah?
Billy: Yeah, yeah, sure. I can.
Chloe: Great.
Billy: (Sighs)
Chloe: Sorry, did we wake you?
Mac: It's okay. Hi, Billy.
Billy: Mac. Wow, you, uh, you look beat.
Chloe: That's warm.
Mac: I didn't get much sleep last night.
Kay: Well, I am so sorry your mother's not here to see you off, Chance.
Chance: Oh, it's okay. I'm just headed off to work, that's all.
Kay: Well...
Chloe: Wait, you got the job.
Chance: I did.
Chloe: Yay! That's so fantastic. Congratulations.
Chance: Thank you.
Mac: What job?
Chloe: Yes.
Chance: I appreciate that.
Kay: Uh, newest member of G.C.P.D.
Chance: That's right.
Kay: Mm.
Billy: You're a cop?
Chloe: A detective, thank you very much.
Kay: (Laughs)
Mac: Congratulations.
Chance: Thanks.
Kay: Well, had I known you were looking for work, I could have offered you a nice safe job with Chancellor Industries.
Chance: Yeah, well, I don't think I'd be very happy pushing papers.
Kay: (Chuckles)
Chance: Billy, no offense.
Billy: Oh, no.
(Chuckles)
Chloe: You know, that's exactly what Mac said when Katherine offered her a job. Ha! You kids, you're like two peas in a pod.
(Laughs)
Kay: (Laughs)
Mac: If it's boredom you're worried about, you made the right choice. There's always something going on at the police station.
Rafe: Any reason in particular you don't want to use your own attorney?
Sharon: Yes, because this is-- this is just a simple misunderstanding. I mean, I-I accidentally walked out of that store with the ring still on my finger.
Rafe: Police report says you ran.
Sharon: Okay, I-I-I ran. I-I don't-- I was emotional. I wasn't thinking right. The point is, obviously, it wasn't intentional. I mean, a pregnant lady trying to outrun a... (Scoffs) Security guard? Come on, that's ridiculous.
Rafe: And you said Jack is on his way?
Sharon: No, I said I called Jack. He's upset with me right now. I don't even know if he's gonna show up.
Ashley: Why would I say something like that? Obviously, Sabrina's dead.
Adam: But, uh, you said she was in your dreams last night, right?
Ashley: I should be able to tell the difference, though, Adam.
(Sighs)
Adam: Hey. Hey, hey, listen, sit down and take a deep breath before you have a panic attack.
Ashley: (Exhales deeply)
Adam: Now listen...
Ashley: (Exhales)
Adam: I'm gonna help you sort this out, okay?
Ashley: Okay.
Adam: Tell me everything that you remember.
Ashley: Oh.
Victoria: When did she call you, this morning?
Victor: She didn't call. She came by late last night.
Nick: Where's Mom now?
Victor: She didn't say, nor did she say where she was going. I guess she needs time to think things through.
Victoria: I guess that's understandable, but why would she come to you and not one of us?
Chance: (Sighs)
Chloe: Okay, well, you play nice with the other kids.
Kay: And most of all, be careful.
Chance: I will.
(Chuckles)
Chloe: Wait.
Chance: What?
Chloe: This... (Grunts) All right, go knock 'em dead, Tiger.
Chance: Thank you. Bye.
Kay: (Chuckles)
Chloe: (Sighs) He has got it bad for you.
(Laughs)
Mac: I didn't pick up on that.
Chloe: What, are you kidding me? You didn't see those google eyes?
Billy: Oh, man.
Kay: (Chuckles)
Billy: Chloe, there were... (Mockingly) No "Google eyes."
Chloe: Oh, you just didn't pick up on it because you're a guy. Mm-hmm. But, you know, you should really get on that, because I don't know when you're gonna meet another guy who thinks that, uh, your combat boots are hot, you know? (Chuckles)
Kay: Delia is awake.
Chloe: Oh, I didn't hear her.
Billy: I did. I did.
Chloe: Oh, okay. Well, then, uh, she's gonna be very excited to see her daddy. I'll go get her.
Mac: You are putting everyone in an impossible situation by not telling Chloe about us.
Billy: Okay, relax, relax. I'll just--just--just more time, okay?
Mac: You keep saying that.
Billy: You don't know what she's capable of. I mean, she’s... (Hums) Just--just--just a little more time, okay?
Mac: Where are you going?
Billy: (Sighs) I need to see Ashley.
Mac: You already tried that. Victor won't let you in the door.
Billy: Yeah, well, he's not gonna get a choice this time.
Rafe: Jack, good to see you.
Jack: Thank you. Hi, Rafe. Uh, do you mind?
Rafe: Oh, not at all.
Sharon: Jack, I didn't mean to do-- this was a mistake.
Jack: Skip it.
Sharon: I--
Jack: Skip it. I'm here now. I'm gonna do what I can to help, but if any part of you is thinking that I am going to take you in my arms and make the world go away, I don't have that in me anymore, Sharon. I called your lawyer on the way here. He's out of town.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Jack: I guess I'll call Michael Baldwin next.
Sharon: No, no, no, don't call him. He doesn't want to help me, Jack. He made that perfectly clear back when I made Eden take the fall for those books.
Jack: One way or the other, we have to get you out of here.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Jack: And then what?
Sharon: What do you mean?
Jack: Well, nice as this is, I don't want to make a regular thing out of it.
Sharon: No, oh, no, this is a onetime thing. This doesn't happen again.
Jack: Because...
Sharon: Because this was a fluke incident, Jack.
Jack: You don't really mean that.
Sharon: I-I'm not in denial over here, okay? Look, I-I've seen a therapist...
Jack: Yeah.
Sharon: I--
Jack: Who you saw exactly once, and you didn't even make it though that whole session. Yeah, I talked to her.
Sharon: What? I can't believe she would...
Jack: When are you gonna realize, Sharon...
Sharon: Divulge my personal information to--
Jack: The clock is ticking here. You're about to give birth to a child.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Jack: You want that to happen here?
Sharon: No, Jack.
Jack: Okay, then get serious. You need help.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Paul: I didn't see it coming, bro. I really didn’t. I probably should have. It's just Victor... Victor--this-- he's got this hold on her, and it's sad. It's sad because, um, I'll get over this, I will. It's not gonna be easy. (Sighs) But Nikki is trapped.
Paul: I tried.
Fr. Todd: You tried to make her happy.
Paul: (Sighs)
Paul: She was happy.
Fr. Todd: I could see that.
Paul: She was herself... (Sniffles) For the first time in God knows how long. I didn't judge her. I-I-I didn't come down on her. I didn't make her fit some kind of a mold. I just let her be.
Fr. Todd: Then it's no wonder she loves you so much.
Paul: Just not enough, I guess.
Fr. Todd: Or perhaps too much, too much to let you commit to a life less than you deserve. Paul, I know its cold comfort, but... (sighs) A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting with a fellow whose wife had left him after 30 years of marriage-- 30 years and 3 children-- because she said, "It never felt right," and she knew that walking down that aisle, but she never had the guts to tell him. So this man built an entire life...
Paul: (Sighs)
Fr. Todd: Around that fiction.
Paul: (Scoffs) Is that supposed to make me feel better?
Fr. Todd: No. Oh, no, no, no, no. You should be angry, furious. It's only natural, but once you get through this and once you come out the other side, I think you're gonna realize that she did the kindest, bravest thing that she could have.
Victoria: You know what? Never mind. I think I can figure out for myself why Mom came to you.
Victor: My darling, please don't jump to conclusions, okay?
Nick: Dad, what'd you guys talk about?
Victor: (Sighs) (Scoffs) (Sighs) Let me just say it was a private discussion. I'm sure she'll fill you in later.
Nick: All right, well, if you do talk to her, will you tell her we love her very much?
Victor: I certainly will do that, yeah. Your mother's full of surprises, isn't she? I'm going to see Katherine.
Victoria: She didn't even tell Katherine?
Victor: No. Listen, this has been a shock, I think, to everyone. She obviously was just about to give her vows to Paul and, um, decided rather impulsively to back out. Anyway, Katherine's waiting. I'll see you later, okay?
Victoria: Yeah, see you later.
Nick: See you, Dad.
Victoria: Thanks, Dad.
Victor: Thank you for coming by.
Nick: Sure.
(Door closes)
Nick: I mean, what is that? That--that's not just some impulse that Mom talks to Dad and not us.
Victoria: She told him that she loved him, and he shot her down.
Nick: Well, he does have a wife with a baby on the way.
Victoria: Our parents' timing is as off as it's ever been. (Scoffs) They're like star-crossed lovers.
Nick: Well, someone can be the love of your life. (Sighs) That doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna spend the rest of your life with them.
Victoria: Don't let Ashley hear you say that.
Nick: Yeah, you're right. Let's take this conversation somewhere else.
Victoria: Sounds good to me.
Ashley: (Sighs) (sniffles) I remember talking to you... (Sniffles) But I don't-- I don't remember what we said. Oh, my God. What if you had been Abby, and I started babbling on and on about Sabrina?
Adam: Hey, hey, just--just tell--tell-- tell me about the dream.
Ashley: Sabrina was sitting right here. She sai--she said...
Adam: She--she said what?
Ashley: She said my baby was gone, and then I just kept hearing it over and over in my head when I was driving.
(Cries)
Adam: Wait, you--driving?
Ashley: Yeah, I was in one of Victor's cars. (Sniffles) It was raining really hard.
Adam: Well, it wa-- was raining last night, so--
Ashley: I could barely see through the windshield. (Sniffles) And then I lost control of the car, and then I-- and then I saw her again.
Adam: You--okay, okay, w-where--where did you see her this time?
Ashley: (Crying) (Sniffles) On the road.
Adam: Not in the car?
Ashley: No, on the road, and... I think I hit her.
Adam: Okay, l-listen, that was a dream. That had to be a dream.
Ashley: But it felt so real. Adam, it felt so real. I can remember pulling up in the driveway, and I can remember getting out of the car.
Adam: Okay, okay, then w-where did you leave the car?
Ashley: In the front driveway.
Adam: All right, then I-I'll go check that out. I mean, I-it's probably right in the garage where it's supposed to be, so I'll just make sure.
Ashley: Okay, but, Adam, please, you can't tell anybody.
Adam: No, hey, hey.
Ashley: Please, don't tell anybody about this.
Adam: Ashley, don't worry.
Ashley: Please?
Adam: Don't worry. I won't say a word, okay? I won't say a word.
Ashley: Okay.
(Sighs)
(Door closes)
Ashley: (Crying)
(Knock on door)
Ashley: (Sniffles) (Sniffles) (Sighs) Oh, God, Billy.
Billy: Oh. It's okay.
Ashley: (Crying)
Jack: Have Michael get back to me. Thank you.
Rafe: Excuse us. Detective Wallace here has a couple questions for you, Sharon.
Jack: Wait a minute, do we know each other?
Chance: Hi, Mr. Abbott. I'm Nina’s son.
Jack: Little Phillip?
Chance: Well, I go by Chance now.
Jack: Oh, sorry.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Jack: Uh, I heard you were back from Iraq. Uh, th-this is Phillip Chancellor. This is Jill’s grandson.
Sharon: Small town.
(Laughs)
Wallace: Yeah, he's new to the force. I'm showing him the ropes.
Jack: Well, glad to hear it.
Chance: I'm sorry about your, uh, your trouble.
Sharon: Oh, th-this is-- this is nothing, really. I mean, we're just gonna clear this right up.
(Laughs)
Jack: Will you excuse me, please?
Sharon: (Sighs) So, uh, did you schedule my arraignment yet?
Rafe: Uh, no luck yet. (Sighs) I think you'd better plan on spending the night here.
Jack: Nick, its Jack. Look, I hesitate to even call you on this. Sharon has been arrested again. She needs help, and frankly, I'm running out of ways to get through to her.
Chloe: Yes, hip, sexy, right?
Mac: So that was it? No...
Chloe: Yes, exactly.
Mac: Explanation?
Kay: Well, it was clear from Paul's message that canceling the wedding was--certainly wasn't his idea, but I haven't been able to get in touch with Nikki.
Chloe: Love it. Bye. You're gonna love me.
Mac: Why is that?
Chloe: I just made you a star. We are going to do a layout in "Restless Style" featuring our very own Genoa City adventurers. You know, like people who have been there, done that, like volunteering in Darfur and going to Iraq, right? How sick is that? It's great.
Mac: Completely.
Kay: I mean, you're going to use Mackenzie and Chance?
Chloe: Yeah, of course.
Mac: Of course.
Chloe: Yeah, they're both beautiful. They're young. They're idealistic. They're altruistic. They're like two peas in a...
Mac: Like two peas in a pod.
Kay: You don't like the idea?
Mac: I'm going for a walk.
Kay: Uh, Macke--
Chloe: It-- she'll come around, believe me.
Kay: Chloe...
Chloe: You know, I'm gonna go check on Delia because she's been out for a while.
(Doorbell rings)
Chloe: Oh, I'll get it.
Victor: Hello.
Chloe: Hey, come on in.
Victor: Hi, Katherine.
Kay: Victor. Ah, well, if you're, uh, looking for Nikki, Darling...
Victor: (Sighs) I've already seen her.
Kay: You have?
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Kay: Well, I've been trying to get in touch with her or Paul all morning.
Victor: You won't be able to.
Kay: Why?
Victor: She left Genoa City.
Billy: What happened?
Ashley: It's just a lot of things combined, Billy. Zapato died. Did you hear that?
Billy: No. Was he sick?
Ashley: No, we think he got into some poison, but I'm the one that let him off his-- off his leash.
Billy: Victor's not blaming you for that, is he?
Ashley: (Crying) No, but he loved that dog so, so much. (Sniffles) And I-I can't even be there for Abby right now, because she can't see me like this, and I'm supposed to be staying-- I'm supposed to be staying calm for--for the baby.
Billy: Yeah, sit down, sit down. You have a lot going on right now, okay?
Ashley: I know. Then there's you and Jack. I let you guys down.
Billy: What are you talking about?
Ashley: I'm so sorry. You had to take over my workload at Jabot.
Billy: Oh, Honey, we're happy to do that.
Ashley: And then there's Colleen, Billy. That was the worst thing ever. My own husband set her up to get her off of his board, and I didn't know anything about it.
Billy: That was my fault. I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry.
Ashley: I can't stand myself right now. This isn't me, but I can't help it. I'm not getting any sleep. I keep having these nightmares.
Billy: You're having nightmares?
Ashley: Everything is falling apart. (Sniffles) But you can't tell Victor, because he's so worried about me already. He already thinks that...
Billy: Okay, relax. I don't talk to Victor. It's fine.
Ashley: (Crying)
Billy: Is that why you're held up here in this place...
Ashley: (Sniffles)
Billy: Hiding from people, huh? Now look, that can't go on, all right? You gotta get out of this place. I'm gonna take you home.
Paul: I really thought she was strong enough to... (Sighs) To break free from his grasp.
Fr. Todd: Paul, Paul, don't do this.
Paul: Don't do what?
Fr. Todd: Nikki is not a weak woman. That is not what this is about.
Paul: Well, it sounds like you agree with her decision.
Fr. Todd: Oh, it's not for me to agree or disagree, but I do respect it.
Paul: That's great.
Fr. Todd: You've got to believe that this is not something that Nikki did lightly. I'm sure she thought through this, and she prayed, and she got an answer.
Paul: I don't like her answer.
Fr. Todd: Well, I'm sure she doesn't like it, either. This is a very lonely road she's taken.
Paul: Oh, come on, Todd. I really don't want to hear this. I don't want to hear that-- that we're better off or--or we would have been miserable. We were great together. We were great together, whereas Victor treated her like dirt. He nearly destroyed her. Why would someone want to go back to that?
Fr. Todd: Sometimes, we're compelled to do things that people don't understand.
Paul: Like an addiction?
Fr. Todd: Or a calling.
Paul: A calling? So you're saying this is-- this is God's plan? He wants Nikki to be involved in a-a toxic, dead-end relationship?
Fr. Todd: No, no, of course not.
Paul: That's good, because I believe in a loving God.
Fr. Todd: And he is a loving God, and his love in a marriage does more than make people happy. It can be healing. It can be fulfilling. I've witnessed that.
Paul: Well, that's not Nikki and Victor.
Fr. Todd: But is it you and Nikki? Did you do that for each other?
Paul: I can't speak for her, but for me, yeah, it was healing. I mean, when we were together, there were times when it felt just like... well, you know, it reminded me of times when things were so much more simple.
Fr. Todd: Before the families fell apart, before marriages fell apart, before dreams died. You know, what you're describing, Paul, um, trying to recapture the past-- that may make the wound feel better, but that is not healing. That's nostalgia.
Paul: So you think maybe Nikki sensed that?
Paul: So now they're both gone now-- the past and the future with the woman I love.
Victoria: I'm so sorry, Paul.
Victoria: Um, I'm so sorry that Mom's gone.
Jack: Nick.
Nick: Hey, Jack. Thanks for calling me.
Jack: Yeah, please don't make me regret it. The last thing Sharon needs right now is to be any more confused by you.
Nick: I-I wouldn't do that.
Jack: No, of course you wouldn't intentionally. She's very fragile right now. She won't admit it, but this whole thing is a reaction to you and Phyllis renewing your vows. I think she needs professional help right now. Whatever you do or say, get her to see that.
(Door closes)
Sharon: Jack called you. I wish he hadn’t.
Nick: I'm not sorry he did.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Billy: Okay, get dressed. I'm gonna take you home.
Ashley: Oh, Billy, I'm not leaving my daughter.
Billy: Well, she can come with us.
Ashley: (Scoffs) Oh, no, no, no, no. Wait, what about Victor?
Billy: Victor? Victor can go soak his head for all I care, the controlling, manipulative freak that he is.
Ashley: Well, who's being controlling now? I mean, here you are packing for me and ordering me around. Just stop! Stop it. Please, stop.
Billy: I'm not gonna leave you here like this.
Ashley: Look, I'm okay. I know it doesn't look like it, but I really am. I-I took a sedative last night. I'm having, uh, I don't know. I think I had a weird reaction to it. I'm pregnant. My hormones are going crazy, okay?
Billy: Yeah?
Ashley: I'm not gonna give in to my fears.
Billy: Your fears?
Ashley: Oh, shut up. I don't mean it literally, Billy.
Billy: Yes, you do. Don't lie to me. What are you afraid of? Is it Victor? Are you afraid of Victor?
Ashley: No, of course not. No. It's nothing. It--it--it's all in my head.
(Sighs)
Billy: I'm not gonna force you to go home. I'm not gonna make you do anything. I'm just here to help you, okay? So just tell me what's going on.
Ashley: It's Sabrina. I see Sabrina.
Adam: Where'd you go last night, crazy girl? Are you nuts enough to drive this car?
Kay: Well, only a couple of days ago, um, Nikki told me she was in love with Paul and she was eager to go through with the wedding.
Victor: But the fact that you had the conversation means that you had your doubts, as well.
Kay: Evidently, so did she, as it turns out.
Victor: Paul Williams is a very nice guy. I feel sorry, very sorry that this happened, but I guess Nikki will explain things to you once she's ready.
Kay: Mm. Well, why don't you explain things?
Victor: Well, I thought I already did.
Kay: Mm, well, no, you only told me part of the story... um, the part that doesn't involve you.
Victor: Katherine, none of it involves me.
Kay: Oh, come on, come on. We both know why she didn't go through the ceremony. Now, Victor Newman, don't you dare waste your breath or my time denying that that woman still loves you. Don't you dare tell me that that doesn't mean something to you.
Sharon: It's not your place to tell me what to do, okay? Why don't--why don't you go home and live your own life?
Nick: While you self-destruct?
Sharon: I am not self-destructing. You know, whatever Jack thinks or whatever you think... I don't know, maybe you guys-- it feeds your egos to think that I'm falling to pieces without you.
Nick: I-I don't want to believe that.
Sharon: Well, then give me some credit, Nick, okay? I made a mistake. That's all it was. It happens. It wasn't about you or Jack. It was just a mistake. You know, the other day, you thought that I stole your father's wallet.
Nick: Look, I apologized for that.
Sharon: Okay, but you were wrong. You were wrong about that, just like you're wrong about this. I didn't mean to steal that stupid piece of jewelry!
Nick: Okay, okay, okay. I believe you.
Billy: So you're talking about having bad dreams, and you're--you're seeing Sabrina in these nightmares?
Ashley: Yeah, it feels like it's been going on forever. It's been months.
Billy: Well, is she scary? Is she threatening?
Ashley: (Sniffles) Sometimes. Not last night. She was very calm. She was saying horrible things to me, and... (Sighs) I guess I woke up, and then I fell back to sleep again, and I dreamt that I hit her with my car.
Billy: Well, that should teach her.
Ashley: It's not funny, Billy.
Billy: Oh, okay, well, maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it's--it's--you're taking control of your dream, right?
Ashley: It wasn't like that at all. It was awful. And then when I woke up, I wasn't sure if it had happened or not.
Billy: What do you mean?
Ashley: I-I don't know. May-maybe I was sleepwalking.
Billy: Wait, look, look, look, look, look. You--you--you had a bad dream, and it scared the absolute crap out of you, but you certainly didn't hurt anyone. You definitely didn't hurt a dead woman, okay? She's gone. She's not here, so... (Scoffs) You know what? She's like o-one of those cartoons, you know, that--that coyote who just keeps going off the cliff and... splat, that guy? And he just keeps coming back for more, but, I think, pretty much because he likes it, so this-- you can have free rein. You can do whatever you want to do. You can boil her in oil. You can grab her and hit her over the head with an anvil. You can choke her like this. You can do whatever you want to to her-- free rein, whatever you want.
Ashley: You're so weird, Billy.
Billy: I know that. It's part of my charm.
Ashley: Thanks.
Billy: Oh.
Ashley: Oh, thank you. Thanks for being such a good brother, Billy.
Billy: Look, I'm working on it, and you--you need to take care of yourself, okay?
Ashley: Okay.
Billy: Don't worry about anybody else. Worry about you for a while.
Ashley: Okay.
Billy: Okay?
Ashley: Okay.
Billy: 'Cause it's gonna be okay. I love you.
Ashley: I love you, too, Billy, I love you so much.
Adam: I'll be damned.
Wallace: You finished with that?
Rafe: Yeah, thanks.
Wallace: All right. So look, uh, when you're signing evidence back into storage, you want to check first, make sure you got what you think you got, man.
Nick: Excuse me, could I see that?
Nick: Thanks.
Wallace: Let me show you where evidence storage is.
Chance: Okay.
Nick: Could I have a moment alone with her?
Rafe: Of course.
Nick: Thank you.
Nick: Sharon, that's the same ring that I gave Phyllis when we renewed our vows.
Victoria: I don't really know exactly what to say, except that we would have been so honored, we would have been so honored for you to join our family.
Paul: Thank you.
Victoria: Okay, bye.
Paul: All right, thanks.
Victoria: Yeah.
Fr. Todd: I, uh, told the priest at St. Jude's I'd hear confessions today.
Paul: Well, I got you all warmed up with mine.
Fr. Todd: Want to get together later?
Paul: No, I don't think so. I think I'm all talked out.
Fr. Todd: All right. Well, if you change your mind, you know where to find me. I'm a phone call away.
Paul: Thanks.
Fr. Todd: Yeah, come here.
Paul: Thanks for coming by. I really appreciate it.
Paul: (Sniffles)
(Sighs)
Paul: (Sighs)
Paul: Good-bye, Nikki.
Victor: I don't need to remind you that I have a pregnant wife at home.
Kay: Well, I'm sure you reminded Nikki.
Victor: I didn't have to remind her of a damn thing, and contrary to what you may think, she did not ask me to leave my family.
Kay: But she did tell you she loved you. How did you respond?
Victor: Well, she'll tell you one day, I'm sure.
Kay: Come on, Victor. No, I know you. You denied your feelings for her, and you're regretting it already.
Victor: Katherine... (Sighs) What I regret is that she left so suddenly, because there were more things I wanted to say to her. Now I don't have a chance to do that.
Chloe: (Clears throat) Picturing yourself on the cover?
Mac: No.
Chloe: Come on, it'll be fun. All right, I won't glam you up. I won’t. I know that you like the whole granola thing, and it actually kind of works for you, and, uh, you know, Chance-- he was even saying yesterday--
Mac: If you say the name "Chance" one more time, I'm not responsible for what I do.
Chloe: What's the deal, really? Chance is great, and he's cute, and he's single. He's a great guy. So what's the problem?
Mac: The problem is I'm with Billy. We're together. We've been together for a while, and we're in love.
Billy: Hey, your phone's off.
Jack: No, I'm having some battery problems, but why, is it some kind of emergency?
Billy: Yeah, I just came from seeing Ashley, Jack, and she's losing it, big-time.
Jack: (Sighs)
(Knock on door)
Ashley: Come in. Hey, Adam. By the way, sorry about crying on your shoulder this morning. I think I had a rough night last night, but I'm feeling much better now.
Adam: Uh, Ash, I-I-I-I don't know how to tell you this.
Ashley: What?
Adam: Uh... (Clears throat) Victor's car was where you said you left it.
Ashley: Okay, Victor parks that car there sometimes.
Adam: No, I felt around the front of it, and there's a dent in the fender. Listen, I'm not gonna say anything to anybody, okay? Don't worry, I won't say a word. As far as I'm concerned, you didn't leave the house.
Ashley: I didn't leave the house. I was asleep in that bed all night long, Adam.
Adam: Ashley, I didn't bring this up earlier, but you don't remember us talking downstairs before you left? I-I saw you leave.
Ashley: No, you didn't see me. Maybe you thought it was me, but you can't really see very well.
Adam: Actually, while my vision may be blurry at best, I-I know your shape by now and the--the smell of your perfume. I heard you leave the house. I-I-it just never occurred to me that you were gonna drive in the condition you were in.
Ashley: I didn’t.
Adam: Ashley.
Ashley: Adam.
Adam: Listen to me. You said the nightmare felt real. I think it was real. Ashley, I think you killed Sabrina.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Mary Jane: I have a-a brother who's a priest in Detroit.
Adam: You definitely hit her.
Ashley: Adam, Sabrina is dead.
Adam: Maybe not.
Jack: What are you suggesting?
Billy: I think she needs to be committed.
