Kay: I am sorry. This is all my fault, because I threw you the bouquet at my wedding.

Nikki: (Chuckles) That is true. I'm so sorry Murphy couldn't be here tonight.

Kay: Oh, Darling, he, uh, was committed to emceeing something at the lodge, and, um...

Paul: But he's gonna join us for the rehearsal dinner later, right?

Kay: Mm.

Paul: (Chuckles)

Nikki: Katherine, do you remember Father Todd?

Kay: Oh, for heaven sakes. Yes, Paul's brother. Yes. Hello, Father.

Fr. Todd: Good to see you again, Mrs. Chancellor.

Kay: Thank you very much.

Nikki: Katherine is my matron of honor.

Fr. Todd: Ah.

Kay: Um, uh, turnabout's fair play.

Nikki: (Chuckles)

Paul: (Laughs)

Victoria: Mama, that's a beautiful necklace.

Nick: Yeah, is it new?

Nikki: Oh, um, yes, it is-- a wedding gift from my very thoughtful groom.

Paul: (Chuckles)

Kay: Aw.

Heather: Hi, Dad. Hi, everyone.

Paul: Hey, Baby.

Nikki: Hi.

Heather: Hi. Uncle Todd, I'm glad you could make it.

Fr. Todd: Yes. Yes, me, too. We didn't get a chance to get acquainted last time I was here. Is your boyfriend gonna be joining us? You mentioned last time that you were seeing someone.

Heather: Um, yes, uh, Adam--

Nikki: He won't be able to make it.

Heather: We'll-- we'll talk more at the rehearsal dinner.

Fr. Todd: Mm. It'll have to be at the wedding reception, I'm afraid.

Paul: You're not gonna join us for dinner?

Fr. Todd: No, no. Mom wasn't feeling up to coming out tonight, so...

Kay: Oh, I'm sorry.

Fr. Todd: She wants to save herself for tomorrow. I'm going to--I'm going to go take her to dinner.

Nikki: Oh.

Fr. Todd: So shall we get started? Is everyone here?

Nikki: Um, Honey, uh, shouldn't we wait for Phyllis?

Nick: Uh, she's taking Summer to Victoria’s. She wanted to make sure the sitter knew how we were handling things with her now.

Victoria: Oh, she's coming to dinner, though, right?

Nick: She's gonna meet us at the club.

Victoria: Oh.

Paul: Okay, then. Let's practice getting married.

Kay: (Chuckles)

Heather: (Laughs)

Paul: Still have the rings?

J.T.: Oh, you think I'd show up if I lost 'em?

Fr. Todd: All right, Mrs. Chancellor, you'll begin the procession.

Kay: Yes, I know the walking down the aisle bit. I have that down. And then I take the arm of the most gorgeous, handsome man...

J.T.: Oh, wow.

Kay: That ever existed and stand right next to him.

J.T.: How about that?

Nick: At which point, I will escort mother down the aisle being every bit the proud son.

Nikki: Thank you, Darling. (Sighs) I can't believe it. I actually have butterflies.

Nick: Don't be nervous, Mom. You just say, "I do." This time, you're gonna live happily ever after.

Phyllis: But if we reach our target numbers, you have to go ahead and order a second printing. You know that right? Yeah. (Sighs) Okay, thanks. Bye.

Phyllis: Hey.

Sharon: Hi.

Phyllis: (Laughs)

Sharon: How's Summer?

Phyllis: Oh, she's doing great. Thanks for asking. Pregnancy agrees with you. You look great.

Sharon: Oh, thank you. Yeah. My doctor says everything looks good.

Phyllis: Yeah. Great. Um, oh, yeah. Pretty nice, right?

Sharon: Yeah, um, that's beautiful. It's beautiful. Beautiful.

Phyllis: Thank you. (Laughs) Um, I-it came from my-- my favorite jewelry store, the one on 10th. You know, um, Nick got it for me when we renewed our vows. He told me he-- he said something to you.

Sharon: Uh, yeah, he did.

Phyllis: Well, I'm-- I'm, uh, gonna go meet his family for, um, Nikki's wedding rehearsal.

Sharon: Oh, that's right. Yeah, Nikki is marrying Paul Williams tomorrow.

Phyllis: Yeah, yeah. Big day for them.

Sharon: Wow, a lot of ceremonies happening in the Newman family lately.

Phyllis: Yeah, it must be in the water. Just, it's crazy. (Sighs) I'll see you.

Victor: I thought you had turned in for the night.

Ashley: I was too wound up to sleep.

Victor: I know you're still upset with me. Want to talk about it?

Ashley: So you can put a spin on it and try to make it look like it was a good thing? No, thanks.

Victor: Will you at least hear me out?

Ashley: You know, this isn't the kind of situation you're gonna be able to charm yourself out of. I married you. I'm carrying your child, so I chose not to walk out, but I will never forget the way you manipulated me behind my back.

Victor: You want something to eat?

Ashley: Sure. I'm hungry.

Victor: Then when I get back, let's talk about this, because this can't go on, okay?

Ashley: Maybe.

Neil: I'm glad you're home, baby.

Lily: Thanks.

Tyra: Okay. Let's go to the far end.

Lily: (Moans)

Tyra: Okay. Okay, good.

Lily: (Sighs) Oh, thank you.

Tyra: Oh, look at, someone missed you.

Lily: Oh, hey, Humphrey. You're a good boy, aren't you? Yes, you are.

Neil: Lily, why don't I, uh, get you situated in your room?

Lily: You know, I think I'm just gonna stay out here.

Neil: You sure?

Lily: Yeah. I have a feeling that I'll be spending way too much time in bed once I start chemo in a couple weeks.

Tyra: You know what? I'll go get you a couple of pillows and a blanket so you can get a little more comfortable, okay?

Neil: Hey, buddy, are you glad to have your mommy back? Yes. Yes. You know, I bought, uh, your favorite magazines, and I stocked the fridge. What else do you need?

Lily: To see Cane.

Neil: Okay, look, Honey. Um, it's--it's just way too soon for company.

Lily: Cane is not company, Dad. He's my husband.

Neil: Right. So what did Olivia say? She said to not overexert yourself. Remember?

Lily: I'm not asking him over here to work out. I haven't seen him since after I got out of surgery.

Tyra: Look, Neil, Cane is the one that convinced Lily to return to the hospital.

Neil: I'm not banning him from the apartment. I'm--I'm merely suggesting that you take a little bit of time, you know, to settle in first.

Lily: Dad, will you hand me the phone, please?

Neil: Yeah. Here you go.

Lily: Thank you.

(Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Cane: Lily?

Lily: Hi. I'm home from the hospital.

Cane: Are you at your dad's?

Lily: Yeah, and, um, I was just-- I was wondering...

Cane: What?

Lily: Could you come over?

Cane: I'm on my way.

Kay: (Chuckles) All right, thank you, handsome.

J.T.: Sure.

Nick: I thought I was gonna meet you at the restaurant.

Phyllis: Um, that's fine. I'm a sucker for a wedding, even if it's a rehearsal.

Nick: Or a recommitment ceremony.

Phyllis: Yeah. Definitely. I had to check with the sitter for, like, the 100th time.

Nick: It's the first night we've both been away from Summer since we brought her home from the hospital.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Victoria: Yeah, I understand.

Phyllis: She said that the kids are fine.

Victoria: Oh, yeah, Reed's probably fast asleep by now.

Phyllis: Oh, no, he's eating ice cream with Summer. Definitely, uh, they're staying up late.

Victoria: Oh, uh, yeah, that's fine.

Phyllis: Yeah, I mean, she said she ran it by J.T.

Victoria: That's-- that's great. Fine.

Fr. Todd: And at this point, Nikki, you'll be asked to take Paul as your lawfully wedded husband, and you'll be asked to take Nikki, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Paul: Hey, don't "Blah, blah, blah" my wife-to-be.

(Chuckles)

Nikki: (Laughs)

Fr. Todd: And then you will exchange vows, he'll pronounce you man and wife, a kiss, and you're married.

Paul: Well, I think we'd better rehearse the kiss, don't you?

Nikki: Oh, yes.

(Applause)

Victoria: Whoo!

Paul: I can't wait until you're Mrs. Paul Williams.

Ashley: Thank you. That was good.

Victor: Well, I'm a wizard with a can opener. I can open a cracker box with one hand tied behind my back. I don't want to pressure you, but you can't keep on taking walks and locking yourself in your room. We need to clear the air.

Ashley: Not tonight.

Victor: Ashley, please.

Ashley: I don't want to get into this, okay? It's not good for the baby.

Victor: But it isn't good for the baby to let things fester.

Ashley: I know how much Zapato meant to you. I can't stop thinking about that dog.

Victor: You were fond of Zapato, too, weren't you?

Ashley: It's been a horrible day for both of us, Victor. Please don't make it any worse by going on and on about—

(Footsteps on stairs)

Victor: Ashley?

[Ashley hallucinating]

Sabrina: Poor Zapato.

Ashley: (Gasps)

Sabrina: Hmm. Well, what did you expect? This ranch is a death trap. But you know that already, don't you?

Victor: What's the matter with you? Is it the baby?

Ashley: No. It's nothing.

Victor: I don't want to upset you any further. Don't you realize I want to take care of you?

Cane: I'm not here to intrude. Lily called me.

Neil: Yeah, I know. Come in.

Lily: Are you surprised to hear they let me out so soon?

Cane: No, I already knew.

Lily: You did?

Tyra: Hey.

Cane: Hey. I've, uh, been in touch with Tyra. And the hospital gave me some updates, 'cause technically, we're still married. You look beautiful.

Lily: (Chuckles) Yeah, I'm a vision.

Neil: Um, Lily, you know I'm only a cell phone call away if you need me, anything at all, all right?

Lily: Dad, you're hovering.

Neil: Just don't overdo.

Cane: I won't overstay my welcome.

Lily: Bye.

Tyra: See you later, baby.

Lily: Okay.

Tyra: Bye.

Cane: Bye. Bye.

Murphy: So Katherine tells me the rehearsal went well.

Paul: Oh, yeah, but we're saving the best for tomorrow.

Murphy: Ah.

Nikki: I don't know. The clouds are looking kind of dark out there.

Murphy: Mm, well, the-- the weather report says that it might rain tonight and tomorrow.

Paul: Oh, well, don't they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck?

J.T.: Actually, I heard it was bad luck, not that I believe in that stuff.

Kay: Oh, that's nonsense. I believe that one makes their own good fortune.

Paul: Ah.

Nikki: Well, I don't know, uh, I can't really say I dismiss all wedding omens after some of the things that have happened.

Nick: (Chuckles)

Phyllis: Hey, I say let it pour. Let it pour, as long as you guys are happy together.

Nick: Well, aren't we romantic?

Phyllis: I am. You inspire me.

Nick: Yeah.

Kay: Okay.

Nick: Yeah. (Indistinct conversations) As bad as I thought I would.

Cane: That's wonderful.

Lily: When I was in the hospital, I saw you right after my surgery. But then after that, you never came to visit.

Cane: I didn't want to stress out your dad or Devon, 'cause I knew if I upset them, they'd upset you, and I-I wouldn't want to do that to you.

Lily: Yeah, it's fine. I-I get it.

Cane: You--you don't think I wanted to be there?

Lily: No, I just figured that maybe you changed your mind about sticking around and left town.

Cane: Yeah, I know why you'd think that. And I also know why you-- you feel like you can't trust anything I say to you anymore.

(Knock on door)

Cane: I'll get it.

Man: Gift basket for Lily Ashby.

Cane: Thank you. Here. Thank you.

Lily: Who's it from?

Cane: It's from me. I arranged for it to come over earlier, because I wasn't sure if you wanted to see me.

Lily: Thank you.

Neil: I didn't know that you were in touch with Cane while Lily was recuperating.

Tyra: Yeah, well, Cane played a really big role in convincing Lily to have the surgery, so I don't know, I just figured he deserved to know what was going on.

Neil: Tyra, that wasn't your decision to make.

Tyra: Yeah, but, Neil, seriously, Cane most likely will end up being a huge sense of support for Lily in the upcoming days, you know?

Neil: Okay, but what if he's not? What if he messes with her head even more?

Tyra: Well, hey, Lily's the one who reached out to him.

Neil: Because right now, her illness overshadows everything else. Don't you understand that she's struggling to come to terms with the way that-- that Cane betrayed her? And it's a hard enough process under normal circumstances, but my girl has-- has cancer.

Tyra: I know, Neil.

Neil: She has to heal from the hysterectomy. She's gonna have to undergo chemotherapy. It's gonna be a very long and painful journey. And the odds-- they're not in her favor.

Tyra: You can stop that right there, okay? Because I just-- I refuse to believe that she's not gonna beat this.

Neil: Okay.

Tyra: She's gonna beat this, Neil.

Neil: Okay, but the-- the point is that she's gonna be very scared and sick in ways that she can't even begin to imagine here, okay? Her emotions are gonna be all over the place. If you think it's rough for her now, it's gonna get a lot worse. She should be surrounded by people that-- that she can trust, that she can rely on, because she's gonna need all the positive energy that-- that she can draw on just-- just to fight this disease.

Tyra: I agree, but look, if Cane comforts her--

Neil: On occasion, but there's gonna come a day when she's gonna look at him, and he's gonna remind her of the future that they should have had. His lies and her cancer destroyed all of that. So tell me, Tyra, how is any of that gonna be good for Lily, now or in the future?

Victor: Why don't you answer me?

Ashley: I appreciate you wanting to take care of me.

Victor: I'm trying to make things better between us.

Ashley: Well, I don't know what to tell you.

Victor: You know, things used to be so easy between the two of us.

Ashley: I'm not the one who ruined that.

Victor: Want me to get you some tea?

Ashley: Yes, please.

[Ashley hallucinating]

Sabrina: I've been watching you, Ashley. I know everything about you. And I know a secret, a little secret, about your baby.

Nick: Okay, I would like to make a toast.

Paul: Mm, mm-hmm.

Phyllis: Yay. (Tapping glass) A toast.

Nick: Yes.

Murphy: (Chuckles)

Phyllis: (Chuckles)

Nick: So people fall in love every day. To fall in love with someone again and again is pretty special. I mean, believe me, I've had experience with that.

Paul: Yeah, but enough about you.

All: (Laugh)

Nick: Yes, exactly. These two have quite a story. They hooked up when they were teenagers. Then they realized they were better off as buddies. And that's where they've been the last 30 years or so.

Nikki: Impossible, since I'm only 29.

All: (Laugh)

Nick: I gotta give you props, Mom. This time, you've picked someone who's going to treat you like the treasure that you are. It's important that you be with someone who you can trust and depend on, someone that you want to grow old with, because when your hair turns gray and you're in your rockers, you want to be with someone who can still make your heart skip a beat.

Paul: (Chuckles)

Nick: When I think about everything that's happened these past few months and how intense it was for everyone, I just can't stop thinking about how amazing Paul was. He was unwavering. When Mom was trying to push him away, he still wouldn't go. I know what it's like to have someone stand by you when you don't know what you're doing or who you want to be with. And if that's not true love, I don't know what is. So I'm wishing both of you a very long and happy life together. Cheers.

(Glasses clink)

Kay: Here's to Nikki and Paul.

Paul: Thanks, Nick.

(Glasses clink)

Paul: That was really nice.

(Glasses clink)

Paul: (Chuckles)

Phyllis: Dinner was great, Nikki.

Nikki: Thank you. Thank you so much.

Phyllis: Congratulations.

Kay: Good night, Nicholas.

Nikki: Thanks for coming.

Nick: Good night, everyone.

Murphy: Good night.

Paul: Good night.

Kay: Good night, Phyllis.

Paul: Thanks again, Nick.

Nick: Sure.

Heather: Um, you know, I-I know we haven't always approved of each other's choice of, uh, significant others, but I have never seen you so happy and, uh, that's all that matters to me.

Paul: Well, it means a lot having your blessing.

Heather: Of course. Do you, um, do you want to walk me out?

Paul: I sure do.

Heather: Okay.

Murphy: Um, would you excuse me, ladies? I've gotta go check and see how much we took in at the benefit.

Nikki: Oh, sure.

Murphy: Okay?

Kay: Well, you take your time.

Murphy: Okay.

Kay: (Clears throat) Well, I am so glad we have a chance to talk in private.

Nikki: Oh, why? What's up?

Kay: (Sighs) Nikki, I've been thinking a-a great deal about our last conversation.

Nikki: When you said I was still clinging to Victor?

Kay: And I was wrong. No, I'm the one who's been stuck with the past.

Nikki: What do you mean?

Kay: Well, after I saw you yesterday, I, um, I had a long talk with-- with Jill. We discussed Phillip. I'm not at all certain that I loved him as much as I thought.

Nikki: What? You always said he was the love of your life.

Kay: Yes, but you see, I was holding on to the idea of him, partly because-- and I'm ashamed to say-- I fed off the drama that fueled so much of my relationship with Jill all these years.

Nikki: I can't believe I'm hearing this.

Kay: (Sighs) Well, being married to Murphy has--has certainly put things in perspective.

Nikki: Yes. Yes, I'm sure it has.

Kay: I am certain that we have so much, and it feels right. It, uh, like, I-I'm where I'm supposed to be and with whom I'm supposed to be. Do you understand?

Nikki: Yeah.

Kay: And I can understand now what you were talking about with Paul. Congratulations. (Chuckles) Congratulations, because I know the future's going to hold everything you've ever dreamed of and more, Nikki. You know?

Paul: All set?

Kay: Ahh.

Nikki: Yeah, um--

Paul: Good night, Katherine.

Kay: Good night, Darling.

Nikki: I love you.

Kay: I love you, too, Sweetheart. Take care.

Nikki: Okay.

Kay: Okay.

Paul: Thanks again, you guys.

Nikki: Okay, um--

Victoria: Good night.

Nikki: Um, yeah. Thank you so much. I love you.

Victoria: Okay. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?

Paul: I'll get even.

Victoria: I love you.

Nikki: Bye.

Victoria: Bye-bye.

Kay: Listen, thank you for, um, picking up the tab. That saved me a bundle.

Victoria: (Laughs)

Kay: Right now, I'm going to check on Murphy.

Victoria: All right.

Kay: Talk to you later.

Victoria: Good night.

J.T.: Well, that was, uh, that was fun.

Victoria: Yeah.

J.T.: All right. All right, what'd I do now?

Victoria: You decided it was okay for Reed to stay up half the night eating ice cream when I thought we agreed that he would stay on a schedule.

J.T.: (Sighs) Come on. Give me a break. It's a onetime thing. It's--

Victoria: A onetime thing?

J.T.: Yeah.

Victoria: He's gonna be up all night. Then he's gonna wake up at the same time tomorrow. Then he's gonna be all cranky.

J.T.: Relax. I'll take care of him in the morning while you get dressed for the wedding.

Victoria: (Sighs) That is not it. You're missing the point.

J.T.: No, no, I know. I get the point, okay? This is about you not having control over everything, and it drives you crazy.

(Sighs)

Victoria: (Sighs)

Neil: Tyra, I know you mean well, but I really wish you'd stayed away from Cane, because it's only gonna cause Lily more trouble.

Tyra: I'm sorry. I just--I just wanted to help.

Neil: Maybe that's your problem.

Tyra: What is?

Neil: You try too hard, Tyra. Like today-- I-you--you really didn't need to come with me to pick up Lily.

Tyra: I can't win with you, can I?

Neil: What do you mean?

Tyra: Well, you pulled away from me before, saying that, you know, that you had to focus on your family and your-- those are your priorities. And I-I understood that, Neil. You know, I haven't asked one thing from you, have I?

Neil: No, no, you haven’t.

Tyra: So I try to help you out and support you and your kids, but that doesn't work for you, either.

Neil: Yeah, but, Tyra, don't you understand? I have a lot on my plate.

Tyra: I know that. I know you have a lot on your plate, Neil. Look, I overheard you in the hospital talking to Drucilla. (Sighs) You said that you're not gonna be able to get through this without her.

Neil: So you think it's strange that I'm talking to my dead wife?

Tyra: No, I don't, okay? If--if that's what comforts you, it's fine. I just-- look, I'm no Drucilla, okay? I'm not. Dru's gone, and it's just me. I'm here.

Neil: What's your point?

Tyra: My point is that you're going through hell right now, Neil, and I want to help you. I do. I just, I-- I don't--you know what? Do you want to be with me or not?

Neil: My baby girl is very sick. I don't know if she's going to live or die. But you must understand that right now-- right now, I can't figure out-- I don't have the energy to figure out where this relationship is going. I'm sorry. I-I don't need this right now.

Tyra: Okay. I guess I got my answer.

Neil: I-I really didn't mean that they way it sounded.

Tyra: I think you meant exactly what you said.

Lily: How'd you know I'd been craving strawberry tarts?

Cane: Oh, I don't know. You must have been sending out some mental waves. Here's your tea.

Lily: Oh, "On the Waterfront," "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," "From Here to Eternity."

Cane: Yeah, you know, nothing takes your mind off your problems like a good movie.

Lily: And a book, hmm? "He swept her up in his arms, pressed his lips against hers."

Cane: (Chuckles)

Lily: "He could feel her heart fluttering like a bird against his bare chest."

Cane: (Laughs) The woman at the bookstore thought I was crazy when I bought that.

Lily: Yeah, I'll bet.

Cane: So I suppose you wonder what the rest of this stuff's for, huh?

Lily: Yeah, it looks pretty random.

Cane: No, no. Thought went into this. I went on, uh, uh, the internet, and I looked at some chat rooms, and, uh, there were stories about what people used to get them through the chemo.

Lily: That's so sweet of you.

Cane: And also, I went down to Memorial and, uh, I met this lady. She's the, uh, head of the cancer support group. She's also a survivor, and she said this sort of stuff makes the treatment better, so...

Lily: So you put a lot of thought into this.

Cane: Yeah. So there's some lotion. Um, I got you some, uh, lip balm, and some, uh, eye drops which will help you with the, uh, severe dryness that the chemo can cause.

Lily: And hand sanitizer?

Cane: Yeah, that's to, uh, combat the germs, 'cause your immune system will, uh, you know, be a little weaker.

Lily: I see there's a lot of stuff in here for stomach problems.

Cane: Yeah, I got you some peppermint and, uh, some ginger. It will help with your stomach, and also, I know it's gonna satisfy that sweet tooth that you have.

Lily: And baby shampoo and a lint roller.

Cane: Yeah, the baby shampoo is gonna be gentle on your hair, and the lint roller-- maybe, uh, it's in the letter I wrote.

Lily: It's okay. You can say it.

Cane: Well, the, um, lint roller's, uh, the lady said some people like to cut their hair short before the chemo, you know? It makes it easier, um...

Lily: When the hair starts falling out.

Cane: Yeah. Yeah, so, um, you can take the lint roller, and you can roll it over your scalp, and it's going to, um, you know, when the hair-- so it doesn't fall in your eyes and-- and annoy you.

Lily: That makes sense.

Cane: Look, maybe this is just a little too much too soon for you. I'm sorry.

Lily: No, no. I really appreciate you doing all of this.

Cane: Listen, I know you're gonna face the challenge of your life, but I know you're up for this, Lily. And there are gonna be some times when you're gonna want to be alone, and I won't be here, but this is my way of helping you. Hey. I know that this is a lot for you to digest.

Lily: Yeah.

Cane: You look tired.

Lily: I am tired.

(Sighs)

Cane: Well, I'm gonna call your dad and, uh, tell him he can come home now, and then I'll take off.

Lily: No. Please don't go. Not yet.

Nick: Summer must have been very tired. She didn't even wake up when I tucked her in.

Phyllis: Yeah. She had a big day.

Nick: How was your day?

Phyllis: It was good. It was really good. I saw Sharon.

Nick: Oh. And?

Phyllis: It was nice, actually. It was civil. No one called the cops.

Nick: Ah, boring.

Phyllis: Yeah, I know. Compared to the last two months, pretty boring, right?

Nick: Sounds good to me.

Phyllis: You like boring now?

Nick: I didn't say that.

Phyllis: You sure? Because let me tell you something. Boring is something I'll never be.

Nick: Okay.

Man: May I show you something?

Sharon: Yes. That one, please.

Paul: So do you have any idea where you left your list?

Nikki: Um, I think I left it in the bridal room.

Paul: Hey. Before you go, there's something I want to say.

Nikki: Okay.

Paul: (Sighs) I think I have known that, um, I wanted to spend my life with you for a very long time. For you, it's different. I know that. It's a big deal trusting someone after David and loving someone after Victor. I just want to say that, um, I'm very happy that you chose me. I love you, Nikk. I think I always have.

Ashley: Please don't ask me again if I'm okay. I'm okay.

(Sighs)

[Ashley hallucinating]

Sabrina: What you said in the car the other night. You're still wondering, aren't you?

Victor: (Mouthing words)

[Ashley hallucinating]

Sabrina: You're still wondering, how can he say he loves you and stab you and your family in the back?

Victor: Have you heard a word I've said?

Ashley: I need to ask you something. And I really, really need you to tell me the truth.

Victor: All right.

Ashley: I know how much you loved Sabrina. She was such a wonderful woman, and she was carrying your child, and I know that it nearly destroyed you to lose her.

Victor: Yes. And?

Ashley: When I found you, you were lost and alone, and you said that I brought you back to life.

Victor: Yeah, and you did.

Ashley: But if I hadn't found you-- I mean, if I hadn't sought you out, do you think we would have ever ended up together? I mean, really, Victor, when you think about it, it felt so right, didn't it?

Victor: Yes.

Ashley: I know. It felt like it was destiny, and like it was meant to be. Or maybe I was just kidding myself. I mean, will I always be just a consolation prize to you? .

Victor: What are you saying? How can you think that you're just a consolation prize?

Ashley: It crossed my mind.

Victor: I have loved you for years. You know that.

Ashley: And you've loved Nikki for years. You've loved lots of people, including Sabrina-- briefly but deeply, I know.

Victor: So what are you saying? That I'm just taking you for granted?

Ashley: No. I mean, you tell me you love me all the time. But those are just words. I don't really know who I am to you.

Nick: You have taken "Not boring" to a whole new level.

Phyllis: Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Nick: Oh, nice.

Nikki: Paul?

Nikki: Paul, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I can't marry you.
