Jana: Hey, what happened to you?

Kevin: Listen, listen, I just--

Jana: I thought you were right behind me.

Kevin: Yeah, I got off the phone with Michael just now, and, uh, Daniel is back in jail.

Jana: What? Why?

Kevin: Because there was an anonymous tip, and they found the forged painting hidden behind a wall at his place.

Jana: Oh, my God, Amber was right about this whole forgery scheme. This is just about hurting Daniel.

Kevin: Yeah, well, if he's in trouble, so are you.

Jana: Yeah, the police think I'm an accomplice. If he's back in jail, then--

Kevin: Yeah, I know, I know. You could be next.

Jana: (Sighs)

Daniel: You know, I still can't figure out how they pulled it off. I mean, planting that forgery behind one of our walls. So someone went through an awful lot of trouble to set me up.

Amber: Yeah, and when I find him, he is going down.

Daniel: Yeah, well, we gotta figure out who it is first.

[Amber remembering]

Amber: So how do I get you and your slimy "History" to leave me and Daniel the hell alone?

Deacon: Well, you could just give me one night-- just you and me, just the two of us, and I won't hurt your boyfriend.

Amber: You are obsessed.

Deacon: (Laughs) Come on, you love it, don't you?

Amber: No!

Michael: Thank you.

(Briefcase slams on table)

Daniel: Michael, what's the news?

Michael: Uh, the D.A. wants to revoke your bail. If he gets his way, you'll have to stay in jail until the trial.

Daniel: That's, like, late in the fall.

Amber: Don't worry. I'll prove you're innocent way before then.

Nick: Okay.

Phyllis: Here we go.

Nick: Home again, home again.

Phyllis: That's right. Jiggety-jog, right? Right? We're gonna read you your favorite books.

Summer: Mama.

Phyllis: (Sighs)

Nick: Almost.

Phyllis: Yeah, almost. That's Daddy. Baby girl, that's Daddy. Remember, the doctor said that all your words were gonna be mixed up, but we're gonna fix that. Can you say "Daddy"? Can you say that?

Nick: Its okay, you don't have to.

Phyllis: No, you don't have to. You remember, "Daddy" was your first word. He doesn't remember because he was on a plane. But that was your first word-- "Da-da." (Rubbing Summer's legs) (Exhales) Next time you say it, he's gonna be right here.

Nick: Yes, I will. I will. Thanks for letting me come home. I know you weren't sure.

Phyllis: It's fine. I just want the best for Summer.

Nick: Me, too. We're a family. We're gonna stay a family.

Summer: Da-da.

Phyllis: Good job.

Paul: Oh, boy, do you want to wait on this a little bit? Give 'em a homecoming?

Nikki: I think we need to let them know what we found out about Mary Jane.

(Knocks on door)

Heather: I know you don't want to leave, you know? But try to look on the bright side. You haven't been happy here at all. Victor treats you like a child.

Adam: Now he's rejecting me totally, my own father.

Heather: Look, I checked into that, um, that halfway house that he wants to send you to, and it's--it's really nice.

Adam: That way, he doesn't have to feel guilty.

Heather: Look, it could be a good thing.

Adam: You have to help me out of this.

Heather: I'm sorry, Adam, I just--I don't understand. I-I don't know what's so important to you-- why you have to stay in this house?

[Adam remembering]

Adam: Ashley will see you in Sabrina’s dress. It'll send her over the edge, and Victor into the hell he deserves.

(Cell phone rings)

Heather: (Sighs) I'm sorry. I have to take that. It'll just be a second, okay? (Whispers) Hi.

Ashley: Sabrina.

Victor: Sweetheart, just try to put it out of your mind, all right?

Ashley: If only I could. It was like one of my nightmares come to life.

Victor: I'm sorry. Maybe we should have had the wedding elsewhere.

Ashley: Definitely not. This is my home, and I'm not gonna let anybody chase me away from my home, especially not Estella. How does she keep getting past security? That's what I want to know.

Victor: Sweetheart, obviously, everyone knows her. You know, they feel comfortable with her. They trust her. I'll make sure that you feel as secure as you can, all right? Plus, I've decided to send Adam away.

Ashley: What?

Victor: Yeah. He can spend the rest of his prison term elsewhere.

Ashley: No. Victor that's not necessary.

Victor: It's already done, Sweetheart.

Ashley: I don't understand. Why do you want to send Adam away?

Victor: Sweetheart, your health is my priority, don't you understand that? Dr. Taylor asked me-- he prevailed upon me to make sure that all stress around you is removed.

Ashley: I'm sure he didn't mean Adam. Adam's been only wonderful to me. I feel horrible about this.

Victor: But you don't need to feel horrible about it. The facility where he'll go is--is--is--is very good. It's excellent. There's counselors that'll teach him how to cope with his disability.

Ashley: He's doing that here. Do you realize that? He's been doing that here.

Victor: Sweetheart, it's a fait accompli. He's leaving.

Ashley: Why? Did you already tell him?

Victor: Yes, of course I did.

Ashley: Please, you have to reconsider. You have to reconsider, Victor, for my sake.

Adam: You know, Victor can't just snap his fingers... (Snaps fingers) And make this happen.

Heather: No, he has to get approval from the D.A.

Adam: Well, then get the D.A. to turn it down.

Heather: I mean, you're forgetting that my boss isn't exactly happy with me lately, thanks to Mary Jane Benson and her bogus claim about Phyllis hurting Summer. If I even so much as mention the name Victor Newman...

Adam: All right, a-all right. I-I get it, I get it.

Heather: You know, I wish you didn't care so much about what your father thought. You know, you never, ever have to prove your worth to me, okay? I gotta go. Talk to you later.

Heather: Oh, hi, Ashley.

Ashley: Hi. Uh, Victor's downstairs.

Heather: Oh, okay, I'll go out the back, thanks.

Ashley: Okay.

Adam: Here to say good-bye?

Ashley: Yeah, Victor just told me. I'm so sorry.

Adam: Supposedly, it's for your benefit.

Ashley: It's so stupid. You've been nothing but wonderful to me, Adam. After I had that horrible nightmare, and you found me Dr. Taylor. (Sighs) You've been so incredible. I, um, I really wanted to ask you for one last thing. I mean, it's--it's really for the baby.

Adam: What's that?

Ashley: Would you be her Godfather?

Adam: That's, um, that is, uh, really unexpected, Ash.

Ashley: Well, you've been so protective of this little one. And, hey, we're naming her after your mother, so she's bound to have a soft spot in your heart, right?

Adam: That is, uh, that is unbelievably kind of you.

Ashley: I have faith in you, Adam. Once Victor sees how much faith I have in you, I know he's gonna change his mind about sending you away.

Paul: (Sighs)

Phyllis: Oh, that went-- Summer's glad to be in her own room. She went right to sleep.

Nick: I was just filling Mom in on Summer's condition.

Phyllis: Yeah, we didn't want to tell you. We didn't want to tell you on the phone.

Nikki: Oh, the poor baby, the poor baby.

(Sighs)

Phyllis: It--it--Nikki, it's gonna be fine. Really, it's gonna be fine. The neurologist said that her brain will-- will start to compensate for the areas that were damaged.

Paul: Well, that's good news then. She will eventually get back to where she was.

Nick: We hope so, too. We know it's gonna be a lot of hard work, though.

Phyllis: Yeah, but the-- that's fine. We--we don't--we don't mind working on--it's fine. It's just she's frustrated because she was becoming such a big girl, and--and, you know, it's just--it's hard.

Nikki: Of course. Listen, if there's anything I can do-- I could be here every day if you want me to.

Nick: Thanks, Mom.

Paul: You know, I never should have backed off Mary Jane.

Nick: What'd you find out while you were in Europe?

Nikki: We visited every company she supposedly worked for.

Phyllis: "Supposedly"?

Paul: Yeah, it turns out she never set foot in any of those places.

Nikki: Her personal record was a complete fabrication.

Paul: We couldn't even find evidence that she was ever in Europe.

Nick: So what's with the phony history? What's she hiding?

Phyllis: Why'd she hurt my daughter?

Nikki: Unfortunately, we don't know the answers to that yet.

Paul: You know, I'm just gonna have to talk to Victor again.

Nikki: Paul, he told you--

Paul: No, I know he told me to back off the investigation, but neither one of us are getting anywhere, and if we are truly going to find Mary Jane Benson, he and I have gotta work together.

Nikki: All right.

Paul: I'll be in touch.

Nikki: I-I'm gonna stay here for a while.

Paul: I-I-I gotta go.

Nick: Thanks, Paul, appreciate it.

Nikki: So does Summer remember anything?

Nick: No.

Phyllis: No.

(Cell phone rings)

Nick: Her memory's been affected, especially short-term, which is why it's gonna be so hard for her to get her vocabulary back.

Nikki: (Sighs)

[Cell phone rings]

Phyllis: Hey, Amber.

Amber: Hi.

Phyllis: Are--are you and--and Daniel coming over to see Summer?

Amber: Um, we can't right now because Daniel was arrested again last night.

Phyllis: What? Why?

Amber: (Sighs) New evidence someone planted in our apartment.

Phyllis: Ohh. Did you tell Michael?

Amber: Yeah, he's here at the jail.

Phyllis: Well, why is this, you know, the first time I hear about this?

Amber: Uh, Daniel thought that you had enough to worry about.

Phyllis: Okay, well, I'm gonna come down there. Just tell Daniel I'm on my way. (Sighs)

(Slams cell phone down)

Nick: What happened?

Phyllis: Uh, my son is... he's arrested. He's in jail...

Nikki: Oh, my God.

Phyllis: Again.

Nick: Uh, just go. You know, she--Summer's asleep.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Nick: I'll--okay.

Nikki: (Sighs)

(Door closes)

Amber: Your mom's on her way.

Daniel: She doesn't have to do that.

Amber: Well, of course she's gonna come, Daniel.

Daniel: (Sighs) Okay, Michael, what's our next step?

Michael: Well, I'm gonna meet with Heather, see what she can do for us. After what she put your mother through, maybe I can work on her sympathies.

Daniel: (Laughs) She has sympathy?

Michael: Maybe she'll surprise us.

Daniel: Look, it's so obvious that I'm being set up. I mean, come on, an anonymous caller? Th-they--they get in touch with the police and tell 'em where I'm hiding the painting?

Michael: All right. All right, you know what? I know you're frustrated. You're gonna have to let me--

Daniel: So then how am I gonna fight this, Michael? I mean, how am I supposed to defend myself? I can't!

Amber: You know what? Count on me. I am gonna get you out of here.

Daniel: How? You know just as much as I do about who's pulling the strings. I gotta go.

Amber: Daniel.

(Sighs)

Victor: So what you're saying, Paul, is that you have gained no new information.

Paul: We now know we are looking for two people, not just one.

Victor: Two?

Paul: The woman claiming to be Mary Jane Benson, and whoever created this identity for her.

Victor: Huh. So you don't think she was acting alone?

Paul: No, uh, the--the-- the manufactured work history is--is way too elaborate. It had to be arranged by someone who is very well-connected. Mary Jane Benson is a-a nobody, quite literally. No one heard or saw of her until she stepped foot in Genoa City.

Victor: Well, I don't care where she was before. I wonder where she is now.

Paul: Well, I think finding out who she is will help us do just that.

Victor: Yeah. Why don't I get my team on it?

Paul: All right, fine. Could you have them contact me as soon as possible?

Victor: Yeah, but don't you worry about it. I mean, you're busy planning your wedding, so this is my concern.

Paul: With all due respect, Victor, Summer is my fiancée's granddaughter. It is, uh, very much my concern, as well.

Victor: All right, point well taken, so why don't you, uh, why don't you contact my team, and then work it out together?

Paul: All right, I have some ideas that might help us get to the bottom of this investigation.

Victor: What do you think about having a press conference?

Paul: I think it couldn't hurt. We could get her picture out there and ask anyone if they have any information about her.

Victor: Well, then we'll offer a reward for anyone with specific information, yeah?

Paul: Nothing gets people talking faster than money.

Victor: Yeah, my thinking exactly.

Paul: You know, with all of Nikki's media connections, she could help set up the press conference, make sure that word gets out.

Victor: All right, tell her I want it done here today. The sooner, the better.

Adam: On second thought...

Michael: How's it going?

Jana: Oh, how's Daniel?

Michael: Uh, he has, uh, been better.

Kevin: Are you gonna be able to get him out?

Michael: Well, that's what I'm here to discuss with Heather.

Kevin: Did, um, did she say anything about Jana? Like, does this new evidence make anything worse for her?

Michael: It shouldn't but check behind the walls. You never know what you may find.

Jana: Oh, God, look, there's Heather.

Kevin: I'll be right back.

Michael: What?

Kevin: Ms. Stevens, hi.

Heather: Hello.

Kevin: Uh, this is for you, and, uh, I just wanted to let you know that I am okay with everything that you did.

Heather: With everything that I did?

Kevin: Yeah, you know, like the, um, the padded cell and all that.

Heather: Right.

Kevin: Uh, as tough as that was for me, I know that you were just doing your job, and in a weird, twisted way, it was kind of a gift, so, uh, thanks.

Michael: I said he was a good man. I never said he was normal.

Heather: Right, well, uh, let's just talk about Daniel.

(Clears throat)

Michael: All right, it was a setup. I'm as sure about this case as I was about Phyllis.

Heather: Yes, I was wondering how long it would take for you to mention that.

Michael: Hmm, well, Mary Jane Benson could be behind this, too.

Heather: That's a stretch.

Michael: She framed the mother. We don't know why. She's out there. That is definite grounds for reasonable doubt.

Heather: Okay, okay, look, if you were arguing this in front of a jury-- which you're not-- okay, with all of the evidence piling up...

Michael: Conveniently.

Heather: No judge is going to want to be responsible for letting an accused murderer out on bail.

Michael: Then convince the D.A.

Heather: God, I wish I had the kind of influence that everyone thinks I do over my boss, but I don’t. Truly, Michael, I don’t. I'm sorry, I can't help you.

(Door closes)

Phyllis: Yeah, okay. Fill me in.

Daniel: The painting I did?

Phyllis: Mm-hmm.

Daniel: The forgery-- turned up again.

Phyllis: In your apartment?

Daniel: (Sighs) Yeah. I guess the good news is that whoever's trying to ruin my life, we know that they haven't skipped town.

Phyllis: Oh, yeah, that's good news, that's real good.

Daniel: How's Summer? She's back home, right?

Phyllis: Yeah, she's home.

Daniel: And?

Phyllis: She's fine. We have a new definition for "Fine."

Daniel: She's talking?

Phyllis: Yeah, she said "Da-da" today, which is a really big deal because every word is a struggle, so that was good.

Daniel: Mom, just go home.

Phyllis: No, no. Hey. I'm not going home. I'm your mother, too.

Daniel: (Chuckles) Mom, I can take care of myself. You know, I'm fine. (Laughs) New definition. Seriously, go home.

(Pounding on door)

Deacon: Whoa.

Amber: You are such an idiot, a complete moron.

Deacon: The dulcet tones of my little angel.

Amber: You, you-- what the hell happened to you, huh? You're just fine with this, putting an innocent man in prison?

Deacon: Wait, innocent? Daniel? Jeez, I don't know. There's a lot of evidence against him.

Amber: Oh, which you planted.

Deacon: Okay, well, hold that thought. Before we get into that, let's just make sure that you're not wearing a wire.

Amber: Don't touch me!

Deacon: God, I miss that!

Amber: You know what? You are gonna miss a lot of women. You're gonna miss me, you're gonna miss everyone when I put your butt in jail.

Deacon: Yeah, is that the plan? Ooh.

Amber: Yeah. Yeah, I'm going to the cops, and I'm gonna tell 'em everything.

Deacon: Oh, really? And Daniel, too? Ah.

Amber: Yeah, Daniel, too. You thought I'd be so scared to tell him about my L.A. life-- mnh-mnh.

Deacon: Well, you know, I think it's a safe bet because you never tell any of the men in your life anything about the real you, except for me.

Amber: No, Daniel loves me, and he accepts me, and he will understand the screwed-up things I did, and even if I was going to lose him, which I won't, I would still turn you in just for the sheer joy of seeing you hang.

Deacon: Yeah, I-I don't-- I don't think they really hang people anymore.

Amber: You know what I mean!

Deacon: All right, I get the gist, all right.

Amber: You know, Detective Gill Wallace, he is a personal friend of mine, and if I were you, I would start running, not that it's gonna do any good.

Deacon: Really? Great. Well, thanks for that little heads-up. Ahh. Don't let me hold you up, Amber.

(Computer keys clicking)

Amber: (Stomps foot)

Deacon: Are you still here

Paul: Yes, on all the local stations. If Mary Jane Benson is still in Genoa City, we will find her.

Ashley: I've met her several times. I never noticed anything unusual about her.

Paul: Yeah, I-I know what you're saying, but sociopaths can be very charming.

Ashley: To hurt an innocent child? That's horrible.

Paul: Mm-hmm. (Knock on door) Ooh, that'll be Heather. Excuse me.

Ashley: Here. Here you go.

Victor: Thank you, my sweetheart.

Ashley: Um...

Victor: Yeah?

Ashley: When you're finished with this...

Victor: Mm-hmm.

Ashley: Can I speak with you? I had a really nice talk with Adam.

Victor: All right. Why are you here?

Paul: Well, I thought you might want to issue a joint statement with the D.A.'s office.

Victor: That is not necessary. Let's begin, all right?

Victor: You guys ready? A few weeks ago, an attempt was made on my granddaughter's life. I'm asking the public to help us find the woman responsible. I offer a $1 million reward to anyone that comes forth with information that leads to the arrest of that woman.

Adam: Mary Jane!

Mary Jane: Hmm? Ohh, tell me you brought food.

Adam: No, no time, I came here to warn you. Victor's up at the house now. He--he's got a press conference on television right now. He's issuing a reward for your arrest.

Mary Jane: No, no, he can't do that.

Adam: Look, this place is not safe. You have to go.

Mary Jane: Wh-where do I go?

Adam: I-I don't know. You have to leave Genoa City right now.

Mary Jane: I can’t. I can’t. I can't leave Jack.

Adam: Listen, your face is gonna be all over the television. People are gonna see you.

Mary Jane: Oh, damn it. What--okay, I got—

(Police sirens wail)

Adam: Wait, listen.

Mary Jane: No, I hear it. I hear it. I gotta get my things. Let me get my things, and then I'll go.

Adam: No, no, no. Just leave 'em. Just leave 'em. I'll take care of 'em.

Mary Jane: I gotta get kitty.

Adam: Mary Jane, I will take care of them. You have to go.

Mary Jane: But kitty--

Adam: It's okay. You have to go.

Mary Jane: (Gasps) Oh!

Adam: Perfect. (Sighs)

Victor: If you have seen this woman or know of her whereabouts, please call the number on the screen.

Nick: It's amazing how fast they put that together.

Nikki: Everyone wants to help, son.

Nick: I should have thought of a reward before.

Nikki: No, your focus is exactly where it should be-- on Summer.

Nick: I'm so grateful we still have her.

Nikki: I know, Sweetie.

Nick: You know, whatever medical issues we have to deal with, we can-- we can get through 'em.

Nikki: Yes, you can. So, um, you're home now?

Nick: Yeah, I can't be anywhere else. Sharon understands.

Nikki: Oh, I'm sure she does. You know, I meant what I said earlier. (Sets down mug) I can be here. If you want, I can move in. I mean, it's no big deal. All it needs is me running home grabbing a bunch of clothes...

Nick: (Sighs)

Nikki: Unless you'd rather I didn’t.

Nick: Uh, no, no, I just, uh, you saying that reminded me of something that I thought was strange the other day. I, uh, I came across Adam, and he was walking around with some clothes-- women's clothes.

Nikki: What--what, do you mean, Heather's clothes?

Nick: No, he said they were Ashley's dry cleaning. He was just taking them out to the car for her. I don't know. I just thought it was kind of weird.

Nikki: Well, I have found that if anything is a little off with Adam, there is usually some bigger story to it.

Nick: What do you think he was doing with the clothes?

Nikki: I have no idea. So what kind of clothes was Adam taking? Expensive stuff, like gowns or...

Nick: No, just regular clothes.

Nikki: You think you'd recognize them if you saw them again, say, on Heather?

Nick: Maybe this is just the way he does his shopping, you know? He just goes and helps himself.

Nikki: Would you put it past him?

Nick: Nope. (Sighs) Hey, maybe, uh, maybe the clothes were for him.

(Laughs)

Nikki: Don't laugh.

Nick: What?

Nikki: I really have no idea what his fashion tastes are, but I did catch him in a very compromising position with his lawyer the other day.

Nick: With Heather?

Nikki: No, no, no, Heather is his girlfriend. His lawyer apparently is his boyfriend.

Nick: You're not-- are you serious?

Nikki: Oh, yes.

Nick: (Scoffs) Does Dad know this?

Nikki: Hasn't heard it from me.

Nick: Well, do you think he should know? 'Cause I do.

Daniel: I'm gonna go.

Phyllis: No, no, no. No, you're not leaving. Nick has it--please. Come on, Summer is fine. Nick's home.

Daniel: Nick's back.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Daniel: For how long?

Phyllis: He says for good.

Daniel: You buy that?

Phyllis: Given the recent history, absolutely not. But it doesn't really matter what I think, because Summer is happy to have him there and--and that's what's important.

Daniel: Summer needs her dad.

Phyllis: Yeah, she needs her dad and her mom, and apparently, a whole team of experts, some bio-therap-- I don't know.

Daniel: Sorry, that sucks.

Phyllis: Yeah. You're in jail. You're trying to make me feel better.

Daniel: Gives me something productive to do, you know, other than plotting my revenge.

Phyllis: Yeah, you should do that, because that's good. Hey, look at me. Do you have any idea who did this?

Daniel: (Scoffs) I don't have a clue who would hate me this much to do this. I tell you what, when I get out of here and I find out-- I mean, all the misery that they've caused me, I'm gonna be more than happy to return that favor... tenfold.

Amber: You think I'm bluffing, hmm? That I won't really go to the cops?

Deacon: No, I'm sure you will. I'm also sure that they'll laugh right in your pretty little face. Honey, you got nothing on me.

Amber: Once they do a little digging and--

Deacon: Once they do a little digging, they're gonna find that I was a thousand miles away the night of Thomas Balfour's murder. That's if they even care enough to ask, which I seriously doubt they will. You're the girlfriend of the accused. What are you gonna say next? "Ooh, he was set up"?

Amber: You're not smart enough to pull this off.

Deacon: Okay, now that hurts.

Amber: And even if you really were a thousand miles away, that means you had help, which means you left a nice little trail of evidence behind for me to find, and believe me, I will.

Deacon: You know what? This is starting to have possibilities. Let me ask you something-- what are you gonna do? Are you gonna follow me around? Appear in my window? I tell you what, if you're a real good girl, maybe I'll let you strip-search me.

Amber: Go ahead. Laugh. It'll make it that much more satisfying when I finally take you down.

Deacon: Mm, hang on a sec. Let me just close my eyes and visualize that image for a second. Okay, good. No, hang on.

Amber: Move.

Deacon: There's a--there's another way, all right? You get what you want, I get what I want.

Amber: You got nothing I want.

Deacon: You didn't used to say that.

Amber: You didn't used to be such an a--

Deacon: Okay, shh. Unh, unh, unh, unh. Now what if I told you that I had rock-solid evidence that could get Daniel released?

Wallace: Mr. Newman. Mr. Newman.

Victor: Come in.

(Door slams)

Victor: What brings you by, Detective?

Wallace: Are you aware Adam Wilson’s left the premises?

Victor: No.

Wallace: His alarm went off a few minutes ago.

Paul: He couldn't have gotten far.

Wallace: My guys are searching the property now.

(Door slams)

Heather: He's right here. Adam, the police are here. What happened?

Adam: (Breathlessly) I was chasing after someone, as best I could, anyway. I went past the boundary.

Victor: Who were you chasing?

Adam: A woman, I think. Uh, I saw a shadow at the window, had long, uh, dark hair, maybe I-I-I don't know. But I-I-I thought it was Victoria, and I-I went outside, and I called after her, and she took off running.

Ashley: Okay, there was a trespasser here the other night. I saw somebody at the window with long dark hair. It was a woman.

Adam: There has been someone sneaking on and off the ranch. Uh, look, I-I forgot about my monitor, and I took off after her.

Ashley: But she got away?

Adam: Yeah, she-- I'm sorry, Ash, I tripped.

Ashley: It's okay.

Heather: Okay, look, where--where did you see her?

Adam: I, uh, uh, back, she was headed toward the old, uh, potting shed.

Heather: Potting shed, okay. Can we use your officers to help look for her? Adam's not going anywhere.

Wallace: All right, yeah. Attention, be advised. Wilson's been found. Wilson's been found, break. We have a trespasser on the property. A female white, dark hair, last seen at the rear of the building, over.

Heather: Um, I'll show you where the potting shed is, okay?

Paul: I'll go with you.

Adam: I'm not even gonna be able to identify her. I--

Ashley: No, it's okay. Thank you so much. Thank you so much.

Adam: Of course. Of course.

Ashley: You put your own safety at risk for us. Thank you.

(Door slams)

Jana: I-I don't understand. My lawyer said that the new evidence has no bearing on my case.

Kevin: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, whoa. Who--who are you? What are you doing?

Grimes: Special Agent Nolan Grimes.

Jana: He's taken over the case for Agent Aucker.

Grimes: So I thought I'd use this opportunity to clear up a few questions I have.

Kevin: You have some questions. Do you have a warrant?

Grimes: No.

Kevin: Then get out.

Grimes: Mrs. Fisher, I don't think it's in your best interest to lis--

Kevin: I said get out! You want to harass innocent people, go do it somewhere else. Or better yet, try doing your job and find the real killer, you oblivious son of a bitch.

Jana: I think he gets the point. Agent Grimes, I won't be answering any more of your questions today. Thanks.

Jana: (Sighs) Oh, my God. Thank you. Thank you.

Kevin: You're welcome.

Jana: (Sighs)

Amber: Okay, right. Yeah, I'm supposed to believe you just hand over evidence that would incriminate you.

Deacon: Wait a second, I never said that it would incriminate me. I said it would exonerate the Boy Scout. Now what would that be worth to you?

Amber: (Scoffs) If it really existed.

Deacon: Well, let's see, you didn't believe me when I told you that I could have him locked up. Now I'm telling you I can get him out. You really want to take a chance and blow me off again?

Amber: You're so full of it. You know, somehow, you got your hands on the painting, and you thought you could use it to blackmail me. But it's all you had...

Deacon: Ah.

Amber: And now it's gone, and so am I.

Thomas: Romalotti's got no idea how screwed he is.

Amber: Who is that?

Deacon: What, that? Well, that's nothing. According to you, it doesn't exist.

Amber: That's--that's--

Deacon: That's-- that's the dead guy, Daniel's poor defenseless victim, recorded just moments before his untimely demise.

Thomas: Romalotti's got no idea how screwed he is. It's almost too easy setting him up. It's like there's no challenge to it, you know? He believed every word I said about being a fed and wanting him to paint that forgery. What an idiot.

Amber: (Sighs) How did you get this?

Deacon: I think the question that you ought to be asking yourself is, how do you get it? And I think that you know the answer to that.

Amber: This is insane!

Deacon: (Grunts)

Amber: You did not frame an innocent man for murder just to get me into bed!

Deacon: Well, what can I say, what can I say, Honey? You inspire me.

(Laughs)

Amber: No, no, you just-- will you just be serious for one second? Okay, you have had-- you could have had any woman you ever wanted.

Deacon: Well, that is true, but you know what? You're the one that got away. Not this time.

(Cell phone rings)

Amber: Ooh, ooh. (Breathing heavily) Ohh, Michael.

Daniel: No, it's me.

Amber: Oh, oh, Daniel, please tell me its good news.

Daniel: Michael begged the D.A. but got nowhere. The judge revoked my bail.

Amber: (Gasps) Oh, God.

Daniel: What about you? You find out anything?

Amber: I'm, um, I'm still working on it. Um, but, you know, we have plenty of time. Your trial's not until fall.

Deacon: No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no.

Daniel: Hey, w-where are you? Are you alone?

Amber: No.

Deacon: Hang up the phone. Hang up the phone.

Amber: You know what? Um, I'm--I'm just at Jimmy's. It's some idiot arguing with the TV.

Deacon: Hang up the phone. Come on, hang up the phone.

Amber: Um, I love you. I love you, bye.

Daniel: I love you, too.

Deacon: Hang up the phone.

Amber: What are you doing?!

Deacon: (Laughs) You know what? I think this is my fault, because actually, I didn't make it clear to you that this is a limited time offer. You see, I'm gonna be clearing out some space on my hard drive here, which means tomorrow, this video goes bye-bye, along with any chance that Danny boy has of getting out of jail. Lover, I gotta tell you, after one night with me, well, you may just want to leave him there.

Nick: You know, if you want, I'll tell Dad about Adam.

Nikki: No, no, no, no, no. Then he'll accuse me of pitting his children against each other.

Nick: Adam manages that just fine on his own.

Nikki: (Sighs) I have thought about telling Victor, but I don't know if it's the right thing to do.

Nick: Look, Mom, somebody has to wake him up. I mean, honestly, who even really cares about Adam's sex life? But this guy lies as he breathes. I'll bet you anything that him having a boyfriend is not his only secret.

Wallace: Any of you recognize this?

Ashley: (Gasps) Oh, my God.

Adam: What is it?

Victor: Sabrina's dress.

Ashley: So that was Mary Jane I saw? Do you think she was behind all of this?

Victor: Possible.

Heather: Wait, but-- but how would she have known about Sabrina?

Paul: Well, maybe they knew each other. We don't know Mary Jane Benson's real identity.

Wallace: I know you tangled with her before. The rest of you know her, too?

Adam: Not me.

Ashley: I worked with her briefly.

Victor: I've seen her at Katherine’s wedding and a couple of times since.

Wallace: Why would she be targeting your family?

Victor: Detective, I have no clue.

Ashley: Adam, thank you so much. Thank you so much. We might never have known.

Victor: Would you kindly make sure that there are no repercussions for Adam because he broke house arrest?

Heather: Uh, no, that-- that won't be a problem.

Victor: And while you're at it, would you kindly withdraw my request to have him transferred?

Adam: Victor, thank you.

Victor: No, son, thank you. Thank you for protecting this family, all right? Our family.

Mary Jane: (Panting) (Inhales deeply) (Sighs) (Sighs) (crying) Oh, God. Where do I go? Where do I go? (Sniffles) There's no one left. Kitty's gone. Jack. (Sighs) Jack. (Sniffles) He still loves me. I don't know what I would do without him. (Sighs)

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Olivia: All you've got to do is sign this consent form, and we're set to go.

Lily: No.

Jack: I just want to protect you.

Sharon: Protect me against what?

Victor: It's over.

Adam: What is?

Victor: I know what you've been hiding, son.
