Jana: (Sighs)
Amber: Big hug.
Jana: (Sighs) I wish.
Amber: You know, Michael said he found a judge who was willing to review your case. You might be able to go home tonight.
Jana: Oh, God, that would be heaven.
Amber: You know, I mean, if anyone can get you out on bail, it's--
Jana: Michael.
Michael: Oh, I'm sorry I'm cutting it so close. There's still a few minutes until your hearing.
(Sighs)
Jana: Okay, so wh-what's the plan?
Michael: All right, I am going to ask for a writ of habeas corpus on your behalf. The judge will determine whether you should be jailed pending your trial based on the evidence against you, which is flimsy at best. And I'm also gonna ask that the cases against you and Daniel be tossed out altogether.
Jana: So you mean I might actually be able to go home tonight, free and clear?
Michael: No, no, no. Listen to me. That's the best-case scenario, though. I am optimistic about your chances for bail. So, uh, where's Daniel?
Kevin: Hey, I gotta get to Jana's hearing. I will be back to close up, though, okay? Dude, why aren't you in court?
Daniel: Uh, I-I've been editing videos of Summer all day for my mom, you know, try and cheer her up. And then I just realized what time it was and figured I'd better get a move on.
Kevin: Great. Great, let's go. We'll take your car.
Daniel: Hold on one sec. The, uh, Balfour's cell. Remember we talked about swiping it so I could take a look at the call log? You know, see who his accomplice was?
Kevin: No, no. You talked about it. I said I didn't want--
Daniel: I-I-I know what you said. But the prosecution, they're gonna have their evidence with them, and that includes that phone, which means no breaking into the department of justice, so that should make it a little less hairy, right?
Tyra: I have some of that hazelnut cream decaf you like.
Neil: Very nice. If I didn't have to go see Katherine, I'd--I'd take you up on that.
Tyra: Oh, no. Issues at Chancellor?
Neil: Uh, yeah, just some personal ones to do with Cane. Um, some questions have come up that I'm hoping that she can put to rest for me.
Tyra: Well, it's nothing serious, is it?
Neil: Well, I hope not. But once I get a better handle on what's true and what's not, I'll fill you in.
Tyra: Well, good, because that means that I'll be seeing you soon, yeah?
Neil: Very... very... soon.
Tyra: Good. Thanks again for the ride.
Neil: Sleep well, baby.
Tyra: Okay. See you later.
Tyra: (Sighs)
Roxanne: (Giggles) (Gasps) Oh! Awkward.
Jill: You've already admitted that you're glad I'm not your daughter, and now you're hoping out loud that my son isn't my son.
Kay: Oh, I never--
Jill: Oh, but that would be such a Victory for you, wouldn't it?
Kay: As if I had anything to do with this... D.N.A.--the test.
Jill: The D.N.A. test. Yes, D.N.A. test. You know what it's gonna show? That Cane is my flesh and blood, so get ready to swallow your disappointment.
Kay: All right, that's your self-pity talking. Every time something goes wrong with you, I'm to blame.
Jill: Yes, you are, because of everything you've done to me over the years. Just answer me one question-- why? Why do you hate me so much?
(Gate opens)
Billy: Hey. (Sighs) I know you don't want to see me, but, um, I need to tell you something.
Mac: You're wasting your time, Billy.
Billy: I know you think I'm the worst person in the world, and I'm not here to make excuses or try to talk you into anything.
Mac: Then why are you here?
Billy: To let you know I'm giving up. No more pushing for us to be back together.
Daniel: Look, I know it's risky.
Kevin: Risky? It's suicide. The place is gonna be crawling with armed guards. The--there are surveillance cameras everywhere.
Daniel: Well, I thought that you wanted to help.
Kevin: (Scoffs) I do, just not like this, not when Jana has a shot at making bail.
Daniel: Okay, look. I'm being railroaded for murder right now. If Michael can't prove that I'm the fall guy, then this could be it for me and for Jana, too. Kevin, I need your help, all right? I need you to get me that phone so I can figure out who wanted Balfour dead.
Kevin: No. No, you're gonna have to do it yourself. One more arrest, and I am toast. You want to steal evidence from the feds, have at it.
Amber: I'm sure Daniel's on his way. Summer's been on his mind all day.
Michael: (Sighs) Well, I just came from the hospital. I can understand why.
Heather: Well, another colossal waste of time.
Michael: (Sighs) For you, maybe.
Aucker: Yeah, on the contrary. We're gonna present our evidence, and then ask for a trial date A.S.A.P.
Michael: Well, good luck with that.
Heather: Go ahead and bring in the prisoner.
Michael: It's okay.
Jana: (Sighs)
Michael: Come on.
Amber: M-Michael... (Sighs) I know Daniel didn't kill anyone, and he certainly didn't take a hundred thou in cash, and I really believe him when he said there was a third guy in the alley that night.
Michael: All right, that's what we're here to prove. Come on.
Amber: (Sighs) Well, I think it all might be connected to me somehow.
Kay: For the last time, I do not hate you. Now you have given me ev-- every reason to... and on--on occasion, I, uh, find that I-- you see? You have me so upset, I can't even talk, Jill!
Jill: Lies and platitudes! That's all that comes out of your mouth anyway, so what does it matter? Both of us know what's in that black heart of yours.
Kay: (Sighs)
Jill: My God, you stole my child and gave him to strangers, something he never got over, and neither will I, and now you're accusing him of not being my son? That--you should be so ashamed of yourself.
Kay: Now if you would just--
Jill: Just what, Katherine? Listen to more of your garbage? Here are the facts, Katherine. You nearly destroyed a little boy's life out of revenge, because your husband chose somebody else, okay? And you didn't even want Phillip. You just didn't want me to have him. Oh, no, don’t. No, you're not gonna fake an attack so you're not gonna listen to what I have to say.
Neil: Whoa, whoa, ladies! Ladies, calm down.
Jill: Stop it.
Neil: What's all the yelling about?
Jill: Nothing. Don't pay any attention to her. She's just faking it because she doesn't want to hear what I have to say.
Neil: Katherine?
Kay: (Moans) Neil.
Jill: She's fine. She's faking.
Kay: Neil, help--help--
Neil: What the hell is wrong with you? Can't you see that something is seriously wrong? Katherine, are you all right?
Kay: Help--help me. Help--help me, please. Help me.
(Moans)
(Sobs)
Billy: This thing with Sharon, um, I wish I could say it was a fluke, an isolated incident, but, um, I make moronic mistakes like this all the time. My judgment is, uh, is crap. When you came back into town, I convinced myself that I could change, become the sort of man that deserves someone like you. And, uh, when I'm with you, it feels possible. It feels easy. But that's just wishful thinking. I can't change. Who am I kidding? The only thing that I can do is not drive either one of us crazy anymore. So, uh, no more begging for a second chance, because whenever I get one, I just screw it up anyway.
Billy: I'm no good for you, and you deserve better than me.
Mac: It's probably for the best. I think, um, we're both just looking for something that isn't there anymore.
Billy: God, it is for me. (Clears throat) I'm the one who lost. I lost whatever it was that you saw in me, whatever it was that made us good. I lost.
Murphy: Mackenzie! Are you out there? Something's wrong with Katherine. We need your help.
Mac: Are you in any pain?
Kay: No... no... pain. F-feel... (Stuttering) Feel--
Mac: You-- you can't feel anything?
Murphy: (Sighs)
Kay: Left... side. Nothing.
Mac: Okay. Okay. So you've got some numbness on your left side. What else?
Kay: Uh... blurry. Blur--blur--blurry. You're all--I-- Mac, I'm sca-- I'm
scared. What's happening to--to me?
(Sobs)
Murphy: Look, just take-- take your time. Talk slower and don't get upset.
Mac: Billy, in my backpack, there's a blood pressure cuff.
Billy: Yeah, all right. Got it. Um...
Neil: Is there any weakness? Can--can you lift your-- try lifting your arm. Can you lift your arm?
Kay: I can't—
(Stammers)
Mac: Good. Now the other one.
Kay: (Whimpers) Can’t.
Jill: Oh, my God.
Kay: Can’t.
Jill: Did I do this to her?
Murphy: What-- what do you mean?
Jill: We were fighting when it happened. I was screaming at her.
(Blood pressure cuff opening)
Neil: Jill, easy, okay? Take it easy.
Mac: Just one more second, and we'll see what this thing says.
Jill: Well?
Mac: Grandma, your blood pressure's a little high. I think we need to get you checked out. Murphy, can you bring the car around, please?
Murphy: Yeah, all right.
Neil: Come on. Let's get you up on your feet. Come on.
Kay: Murph--Murph--
Billy: Hey, hey, hey. How about we march? Can we march? Come on.
Neil: Ready?
Billy: Hup, two, three, four. You can march.
Neil: Come on. You'll be all right. It's gonna be okay. Come on, Katherine.
Billy: Come on, Grandma. Where'd you learn to march?
Kay: (Laughs)
Neil: Come on, we got a big step right here.
Billy: Come on. We can do it.
Neil: Watch out.
Billy: And up.
Neil: Up. Up you go.
Mac: Jill, call the hospital. Tell them we're on our way.
Michael: Why would someone from your past kill Balfour?
Amber: Well, you know I lived in L.A. before I came here, and I was young. I was stupid. I made a lot of mistakes. I had a drug problem, went to rehab. I went through a lot of guys. And, um, I did some really terrible things, Michael, and I hung out with some people who weren't very nice, and what if one of them's trying to hurt Daniel to get back at me?
Michael: Okay. Listen to me. Any information you have could help, but are you willing to sit down with me and give me specifics?
Amber: As long as Daniel isn't there.
Michael: Amber, I cannot mislead my own client.
Amber: Well, then I don't know what to do, okay? There are certain things about my past I never want Daniel to find out about.
Michael: Well, how about this? You go to him, and you just bring everything out into the open?
Amber: (Sighs)
Michael: (Sighs) Think about it. You let me know what you decide.
Amber: Okay.
Amber: Where's Daniel?
Kevin: Um, he should be right behind me. Why do you look so freaked?
Amber: I just told Michael some lowlife from my past might be trying to frame Daniel to get back at me, and he wants to hear all about it, but then Daniel would find out about it and-- and he would leave me.
Kevin: Well, the truth is a bitch, but what's worse? Losing Daniel because he would judge you, or losing him to a life behind bars when you could have been the one to save him?
Tyra: (Sighs)
Roxanne: (Giggles) Call me later, okay?
Devon: I will.
Roxanne: Okay.
Devon: Later.
Roxanne: Bye-bye.
Tyra: (Sighs)
Devon: So what the hell, Tyra? I thought you were working tonight.
Tyra: I was, but my shift ended early, so Neil brought me home. What's the problem?
Devon: Right, to my home.
Tyra: Okay, excuse me, Devon, but you practically begged Ana and I to move in here. And speaking of Ana, what if I'd walked in with her, huh?
Devon: Hmm.
Tyra: She came in and saw you two cavorting around like that?
Devon: Okay, first, excuse me, but your daughter is at a sleepover.
Tyra: (Sighs)
Devon: Remember that? Oh, you--you probably forgot since you're so busy trying to seduce Neil.
Tyra: (Scoffs) "Seduce"? No one's seducing anyone, okay? And for your information, Neil and I are together because we want to be.
Devon: That's right. It's so funny. You have this little fairy-tale fantasy going on about living happily ever after with him.
Tyra: And tell me, Devon. Tell me, why is it a fantasy?
Devon: Because the man just got divorced. He's not gonna rush into a big relationship with you, Tyra.
Tyra: (Sighs) You know what? Whatever, okay? We don't need your approval, Devon, thank you very much.
Devon: All right.
Tyra: (Sighs) You know what? I've been thinking lately, and I think it just might be time that he and I moved in together, I mean, seeing as that you need your privacy and all.
Devon: Let me tell you something. If you think that Neil's ready to play house with you, you're in a for a really, really big letdown.
Olivia: So you had numbness on your left side. Did you pass out?
Kay: No. No.
Olivia: Did you have any difficulty swallowing? Nausea?
Kay: Um, nausea-- only from what Jill was dishing out.
Neil: Yeah, when I walked in, they were going at it pretty good.
Olivia: Arguing?
Murphy: You shouldn't let her get to you like that.
Kay: Olivia, did I have a stroke, Darling? Let's--let's stop dancing around the word, please.
Olivia: Why don't we just run some tests before we jump to any conclusions, okay?
Kay: Okay. Okay.
Murphy: Everything's gonna be fine...
Kay: Yeah, well...
Murphy: Because I love you.
Kay: Oh, yeah. Oh, please.
(Chuckles)
Billy: Olivia, how bad is this?
Olivia: I'm just glad you got her in as quickly as you did, Billy. Excuse me, will you?
Mac: You okay?
Billy: She's my grandma. I've lost a lot lately. I-I can't lose her, not again. I just--I gotta get out of here.
Devon: (Sighs)
Tyra: Huh? What is it that you have against me?
Devon: I'm not trying to be mean.
Tyra: Oh, really?
Devon: I just don't want to see anybody get hurt...
Tyra: (Sighs)
Devon: All right? Especially Ana. She's had enough disappointment to deal with already.
Tyra: Yeah, she has, Devon. She has, but what about me, hmm? Have you even stopped for one second to think about what it is I gave up for her? Don't get me wrong. I love my little girl, and I don't regret anything, but, hell, Devon, I was a kid when I started taking care of her. I was a kid. I didn't go out on dates. I didn't go to the prom. I didn't even hang out with any friends. I went home because I had a little girl that was there depending on me. So now this thing with Neil-- I'm just experiencing what other girls did, and, yes, I might seem a little starry-eyed to you, and for that, I apologize. I am sorry, okay? But there is nothing wrong with that, and, Devon, you cannot tell me that Neil does not care about me.
Devon: No, I can’t. I can't tell you that, 'cause he does care about you. What I can tell you is that he doesn't love you. He's not in love with you. He'll never love you the way he loved Dru. And you don't understand, 'cause you weren't there, but I witnessed firsthand. Her death messed him up. And if Karen was his rebound from all that, what are you? You're his rebound from Karen.
Tyra: Devon, how-- how could you say that to me?
Devon: Well, I'm sorry, but it's the truth, and you need to hear it, all right? You need to open your eyes and see he's not gonna marry you.
Tyra: Whatever. Whatever. Whatever! Screw you, Devon, okay?
Devon: All right.
Tyra: Screw you.
Devon: Screw me. I'm outta here.
Tyra: (Sighs)
(Door slams)
Tyra: (Sniffles)
Tyra: Hey, Neil, it's me. Um, I really, really need to talk to you.
Jill: How is she? Neil, how is Katherine?
Neil: She's doing-- she's doing a lot better. Olivia's running some tests. She's in excellent hands.
Jill: Oh, thank God. (Sighs)
Neil: So why aren't you there with her?
Jill: (Stammers)
Neil: I can see that you still love the woman, Jill. You had that look all over your face when we took off for Memorial.
Jill: I am the last person she'd want hovering by her bedside, okay? She'd probably accuse me of being the angel of death.
Neil: You have lived through losing her twice already. Here's your chance not to have the same regrets a third time.
Jill: I don't know.
Neil: Go see her. Life's too short. Tonight just proved that all over again.
Olivia: It's called a T.I.A., a transient ischemic attack.
Kay: Mm-hmm. That's a fancy word for "Mini-stroke."
Murphy: Well-- well, what causes it?
Olivia: Changes in the blood supply to a particular area of the brain, usually because of a blood vessel spasm. I mean, less blood, less oxygen can lead to certain neurological symptoms. But because it was so brief in this case...
Kay: So a T.I.A., uh, won't have any lasting effects? Hmm. Okay. Uh, well, uh, may I go?
Murphy: (Sighs)
Olivia: Normally, I would say yes. But your blood pressure's still elevated. I'd like to keep an eye on you overnight.
Kay: Mnh-mnh.
Mac: Grandma, it's just one night. Please?
Kay: All right, everybody. Have it your way.
(Chuckles)
Murphy: (Chuckles)
Olivia: Good. I'll do the paperwork.
Kay: Thank you, Olivia.
Murphy: Thank you, Doctor.
Kay: Well, somebody call Jill, for heaven sakes, and tell her the bad news-- that I'm going to live.
Murphy: (Snorts)
Kay: It is her fault that I am this way. Oh, M-Mackenzie, come here, Sweetheart. (Patting bed) Come here. Sit down.
Mac: (Sighs)
Kay: No, look. Look at me. Look, I'm--I'm-- I'm--I'm--I'm really fine. I'm good as new.
Mac: I don't--I don't know why I'm so emotional. It's just the thought of anything happening to you ever again-- anything bad...
Kay: Shh. Now you listen to me. I'm not going anywhere, not after everything I went through to get my identity back. I'm not going anywhere. (Chuckles) Oh, Sweetie.
Billy: God? (Clears throat) If you, um, are there...
Billy: Could you help?
Michael: ...That bail should be set so high.
Heather: There are plenty of cases--
Michael: No, listen. There is no flight risk.
Heather: This is standard protocol.
Kevin: Hey, you.
Jana: Hi!
Kevin: Hi. How's it going?
Jana: (Sighs) Well, Michael made his pitch to have me granted bail, and then the judge asked him and Ms. Stevens to approach the bench, and they've been up there for, like, two days, or at least that's how it feels.
Kevin: Well, just think positive thoughts. You know, Michael's a miracle worker.
Jana: God, Kev, I just want to be with you so badly.
Kevin: I know, Honey. Here they come.
Heather: (Clears throat)
Michael: Stand up.
Judge: The state should not have introduced Ms. Fisher's priors as a reason to deny bail. Ruling is for the defendant, who is hereby granted bond in the amount of $100,000.
Jana: (Sighs) Thank God.
Kevin: Thank you, Michael.
Michael: Thank the judge.
Jana: Oh, my God, does it-- does this mean I get to go home tonight?
Kevin: Well, I guess if we can come up with the money.
Michael: (Scoffs) It's on me.
Jana: No, Michael, you can't do that.
Kevin: No, no, we can't accept that.
Michael: No, we will argue about this later. Shh!
Judge: You still face very serious charges, young lady.
Jana: Yes, your honor.
Judge: There is also still the matter of the charges against Daniel Romalotti. Where's your other client, Mr. Baldwin?
Heather: I would like to know that, too.
Amber: Daniel! Where have you been? The hearing started.
Daniel: Uh, I was trying to get my hands on this piece of evidence that the, uh, D.A. has. I was hoping Kevin would help me out with it.
Amber: Is that even legal?
Daniel: Not exactly.
Amber: So he said no.
Daniel: Well, you can't really blame the guy. I guess I'm just kind of desperate to, uh, get out of this mess.
Amber: Yeah, um, Daniel, listen. There's something I have to tell you, something that might possibly help with your defense--
Kevin: Dude, you're here. Get inside. The judge is seriously pissed at you.
Daniel: I'm going.
Kevin: Did you tell him?
Amber: I didn't get a chance to, okay? I am just praying that Michael gets this whole thing thrown out so I won't have to go there.
Heather: In addition to the murder weapon with Mr. Romalotti's fingerprints on it and the briefcase full of cash found at Ms. Fisher's place of business, we present state's exhibit number three, the victim's cell phone, which will provide a record of all calls between the defendant and the victim up to their meeting in the alleyway on the night in question.
Aucker: Your honor, I'd like to point out that Mr. Romalotti was given every opportunity to cooperate with the department of justice. I mean, he--he, uh... (Chuckles) He assured us that he would take a polygraph test, and he failed to schedule it. Instead, he infiltrated a federal sting investigation in order to settle a score with the deceased.
Heather: We ask, your honor, uh, that you set a trial date as soon as possible.
Michael: Your honor, the so-called evidence merely supports our contention that my client is also a victim, set up by an unknown person or persons.
Judge: Yes, well, you can argue that theory at trial, council. The bail amount stands, as do the charges. This hearing is adjourned.
Heather: Well, you win some, you lose some.
Aucker: See you in court.
Jana: Michael?
Michael: All right, listen. You go with them down to the station. They will process you out, and then you'll be free to go.
Kevin: I'll meet you there, okay?
Jana: Oh, God, I can't wait.
Daniel: Go. Just go. I'll meet up with you later.
Jana: All right.
(Sighs)
Daniel: Listen to me. I don't want you to worry about this, okay? As soon as I figure out who's got it in for me, then I'll have a lead on who really did this.
Amber: Hey, Daniel, um, there's something I need--
Daniel: I gotta talk to Michael before he takes off, okay?
Amber: (Sighs)
Kevin: (Clears throat)
Amber: I was gonna say something. I swear, I was. I just--what if I'm wrong, huh? What if this has nothing to do with me? I just... (Sighs) I have to check out some stuff on my own first.
Kevin: Well, that makes sense, I guess.
Amber: I just want Daniel to be free and out of this mess, just the way you are.
Billy: Would you, um... would you help Grandma through this? Okay? Uh, I love her very much, and I can't even count the times that she's been there for me, so don't, um, don't abandon her now, okay? Because I need that lady. We all need that lady.
(Sighs)
Billy: (Groans) Man. (Chuckles) (Sniffles) Oh, life was a whole lot easier before. I mean, hell, all I did was party-- um, sorry. Uh, look, I-- I didn't care about anybody else but me. When I lost Mac on my wedding night, it changed me. Nothing else mattered, and, uh, if I couldn't have her, well, no one was gonna have me. So I put up that cliché wall, and I didn't let anybody else in. Well, and then Delia came along. I guess, uh, that was your way of telling me that I can't walk away from love. (Chuckles) Except there I was tonight, walking away from Mac for a second time, and not because I wanted to, but because it was the right thing, so... I just-- look, we both know that I'm not good for her, okay? So, uh, I'm just asking you, just let her be happy, okay? Just please let Mac live a good life. That's all I'm asking.
(Sighs)
(Sniffles)
Olivia: And tomorrow, we'll discuss how to stop this from happening again.
Murphy: That sounds like a plain.
Kay: (Sighs) Good night, Olivia.
Olivia: (Chuckles) Get some sleep, okay?
Kay: I will.
Murphy: Thanks again, Doc.
Jill: Olivia, is she in there?
Olivia: I'm keeping her overnight for observation.
Jill: So was it a stroke?
Olivia: Jill, you know I can't discuss her medical condition other than the people that she's designated.
Jill: (Scoffs) Till very recently, I was one of those people.
Olivia: She's awake.
Devon: Makes me crazy, 'cause I don't understand how that woman can be so dense.
Roxanne: Tyra and Neil are adults.
Devon: (Sighs)
Roxanne: Let them handle it. I-I don't see why you're so bent out of shape about it.
Devon: (Sighs) I-I don't know either. Can't really give you an answer.
Roxanne: Okay, I thought that you were mad because Tyra was seeing Neil. Now you're upset because you think she might get hurt?
Devon: Yeah. Doesn't really make much sense.
Neil: Hey.
Tyra: Hey.
Neil: Hey, what's going on?
Tyra: Well, Devon and I had a huge fight. Neil, I don't think we'll even be able to be housemates anymore. I mean, it's really not working out between us.
Neil: I am so sorry. So what--what--what can I do? Um, you want me to help you and Ana find a-a new place, or...
Tyra: Um, actually, I was thinking that maybe we could move in with you.
Neil: Oh, well, what's-- what's wrong with staying here? You can't stay here another night, or...
Tyra: Um, I wasn't talking about temporarily.
Neil: (Sighs) Hey, Tyra, look, um, I enjoy your company. I do, and you know-- you know how I feel about Ana, right?
Tyra: Okay, but...
Neil: But I'm-- I'm not ready to take things to that level.
Tyra: (Sighs) I see.
Neil: No, I-I-I don't think you do see. I want to make sure that you understand.
Tyra: No, you know what? It's fine, okay? You don't have to explain anything to me.
Neil: No, I do. I should explain. Um, listen, when-- when I was with Karen, right? Um, I let myself slip. You know, I never behaved like that in all my life. I treated her terribly, and I-I hurt her a lot, and I want to make sure that I don't make that same mistake with you. Do you understand what I mean? I don't want to jump into a commitment prematurely here. I-I want us to work out, Tyra. I do. But the only way that's gonna happen is if we take things slow and easy. Does--does that make sense?
Tyra: Yeah. Well, do you ever think you'll be able to get to that point?
Neil: Well, I have to focus on my--on my children and--and my--my new job at Chancellor. L-listen, Tyra, I-I--
Tyra: Neil.
Neil: You are a lovely girl.
Tyra: Neil, please, okay? Thank you, but you have said enough. Thank you.
Neil: All right, listen, you know what we should do here, is we should, you know, take a step back and-- and get on the same page so there's no misunderstandings, because the very last thing that I want to do is have you blindsided like my wife was.
Tyra: Yeah.
(Sobs)
Neil: (Clicks tongue) Aw.
Tyra: (Sobbing)
Daniel: Well, the good news is they didn't revoke my bail.
(Sighs)
Amber: Was that even a possibility?
Daniel: Well, you never know with those people. Hey, you wanted to tell me something earlier at the courthouse. What was it?
Amber: Just that I'm gonna do everything in my power to find out who did this to you. And we're gonna be able to put this behind us so we can have our life back.
Daniel: Hey, have you seen Kevin? I mean, I thought him and Jana would be back here to close up shop before they head home. I wonder what happened to the guy.
Man: I'll take this back to the evidence room. Have a good one.
(Box crashes)
Man: Hey!
Murphy: I should head out.
Kay: Mm. Listen, if you run into Jill, you tell her that she is directly responsible for what has happened to me.
Murphy: Unh-unh. I'm gonna steer clear. I mean, I-I think we've all had enough drama for one night.
Kay: You know what? Before the attack, she was screaming at me and--and calling me all sorts of vile names. Now I could feel my blood pressure just going right straight through the roof.
Murphy: Mm.
Kay: I-I didn't used to think this way, you know, but lying here in this hospital bed, I'm absolutely thrilled that that witch and I are not related.
(Chuckles)
Murphy: Oh, Katherine. That--that's your upset talking. Look, you and Jill have had wonderful times together. If you could still be you and have her as your daughter, you'd take her back... in a heartbeat. Mm-hmm.
Kay: You're right. I would. As much as I hate to admit it...
Murphy: (Chuckles)
Kay: I would.
Murphy: (Chuckles)
Billy: Oh. Is Katherine--she, um--
Mac: (Sniffles) She's gonna be fine.
Billy: Thank God. Uh, do they know what's wrong?
Mac: Um, a stroke from hypertension.
Billy: Okay. When I saw you crying, I thought, um, never mind what I thought. I'm glad I'm wrong. It’s... (Clears throat) Good news.
Mac: Yeah, no, I know you were worried about her, so I wanted to-- to let you know that she's okay. She's gonna be okay.
Billy: Well, thanks for thinking of me. You do that a lot, don't you? Put people first. I admire that.
(Clears throat)
Mac: Thanks.
(Sighs)
Billy: Um, how long have you been here?
Mac: Long enough to hear some pretty surprising things.
Billy: Okay, um, about that, I, um, I--
Mac: No, don't be embarrassed. I'm so, so glad I heard. I needed to know that the man I love is still here.
Billy: Come on, man, I've screwed up so many things, it's--
Mac: We all make mistakes. I've made some really big ones, like closing off my heart because I was scared and refusing to face certain things. (Sniffles) I know that you didn't stop living your life when we split up six years ago, but I've been treating you like you should have. How could I fault you for things you did when we weren't even together? I guess, um... (Chuckles) What I'm trying to say... (Sniffles) Is that I love you. (Sniffles) I love you, Billy. I always have, and I want to be with you.
Billy: (Inhales deeply) Hey.
Mac: (Cries)
Billy: Oh, I love you, too. (Sighs) I love you, too.
Mac: (Sighs)
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Nick: I'm scared. Summer could have brain damage. We could lose her.
Lily: The lab called Nina, so I went over there with her. They gave me a copy for you.
Heather: It's possible that you fed your daughter peanuts to get your husband's attention.
Nikki: Oh, my God.
Phyllis: That's beyond insane.
