Ashley: Who's it from?

Victor: It's from Jane Smith.

Ashley: I don't know a Jane Smith. Let me see. Oh, my God.

Nikki: (Gasps)

Ashley: (Gasps)

Nikki: Oh, my God.

Ashley: What have I done? What--what have I done to make somebody want to hurt me like this?

Victor: Oh, my sweetheart, you have done nothing, okay? This is someone's sick joke, okay?

Ashley: Oh, my God.

Adam: Hey, everybody.

Victor: Is this your handiwork?

Adam: What are you-- what are you talking about?

Victor: There's a baby's head on the floor. It was cut off from Sabrina's statue and sent to Ashley.

Adam: Oh, my God. (Sighs) Ashley, I'm-- I'm sorry.

Victor: Why are you sorry? Because you did it?

Adam: Come on. No, I would never hurt Ashley.

Victor: Tell me the truth now.

Adam: I'm telling you the truth. But, you know, if you want to know the truth, why don't you ask Estella?

Nikki: Oh, how dare you?

Adam: The woman thinks that Ashley's the reason Victor fired her.

Nikki: She is not capable of such cruelty, which is more than I can say for some people in this house.

Victor: All right, that's enough.

Adam: What are you doing? What are you doing?

Victor: I'm reporting a crime, son.

(Cell phone ringing)

Cane: (Sighs) Hey, I thought I heard something.

(Rings)

Cane: You gonna answer that?

Mac: Later. What's with the "Closed" sign?

Cane: Oh, there's a, uh, glitch with the electricity. I called a repairman. He said they'd come out and fix it.

Mac: Oh, go home, be with your wife. I'll wait for the guy.

Cane: No, no, no. I can't ask you to do that.

Mac: Trust me, I'm in no rush to get back to my grandmother's house. The bulldozers-- you did know they were exhuming Phillip's body today, right?

Cane: Yeah, Nina said that she was gonna do that.

Mac: She got it.

Cane: Well, I can handle this, so, uh, you go. Go, go, go, go. Have fun. Have a good night. Go, go, go.

Mac: I'll try.

Cane: Okay.

Mac: Don't stay too long.

Cane: All right. Bye.

(Door closes)

Cane: (Sighs heavily)

Cane: Listen, it's me. Um, the exhumation's begun. So while you're off--God knows doing what you're doing, I'm left here holding the bag. Will you... (Sighs) Will you please call me before I lose everything? Please.

Kay: I didn't intend to take anything from you, Jill. I did not want to stop being your mother. Even if--if I-- even if I don't-- if I'm not your mother, it--it doesn't mean that we can't still--

Jill: Stop it. Stop! Don't say, "We can still be friends." It's not the same, and you know it.

Kay: Will you stop living in the past? You have so much in the present to live for.

Jill: God, where the hell is Nina?

Kay: Oh, these things take time, for heaven sakes. Would you just please listen to me? Just try to be calm.

Jill: I will. I will be calm when my son's body is at rest again, and he's back home where he belongs.

Nina: (Sobs)

Paul: Nina. Nina.

Nina: (Gasps)

Paul: Look at me. Look at me.

Nina: This can't be.

Paul: Just breathe. I-I know. Just breathe, okay?

Nina: What is going on? Where is Phillip's body?

Paul: Just try to calm down.

Nina: (Gasps)

Paul: We'll get to the bottom of this, okay?

Kay: That was Paul Williams. He's with Nina at the morgue. It's, uh, it's a good thing, too.

Jill: Why? They couldn't have gotten the genetic results yet.

Kay: I'm not sure they ever will.

Jill: Wasn't that the point of exhuming the body? So they could test?

Kay: (Chuckles) There was nothing to test. No, the casket was empty.

Jill: What?

Kay: Phillip's body was not in there.

Jill: How is that possible?

Kay: That is what Nina is trying to find out, Jill.

Paul: Okay.

Nina: I want a thorough investigation.

Paul: And you're gonna get one.

Nina: And I want to know where the guy who did the original D.N.A. tests disappeared to.

Man: Again, I'm so sorry.

Nina: Just find my husband's body.

(Sighs)

Man: This is the morgue. I need to speak to the lab supervisor.

Nina: I gotta get outta here.

Paul: I think that's a good idea.

Nina: You tell your boss he'll be hearing from me.

Paul: I'll be right there.

Man: Look, I had nothing to do with this.

Paul: No, I-I know. I know. But before you leave, there is a test I need to have run.

Cane: (Sighs)

(Keypad beeps)

[Cane remembering]

Cane: (Sighs) (Slaps bag down) But what impressed me about you-- the more I got to know you was how wise you are, how mature you are and how levelheaded you are. You ground me, and I'm a better man for having loved you. And not to mention, you make me laugh more than anyone else I've ever met, well, except for Humphrey, but you won't chew on my shoes.

(Chuckles)

Lily: (Laughs)

Cane: I came to America in search of a family I wasn't sure if I'd even find. And now I have two families, and I am marrying the love of my life. I am rich beyond compare. And I stand here now before you knowing that my life is just about to begin, and I'm gonna share every moment with you.

(Knock on door)

Lily: Cane, are you in there?

Billy: Thank you.

Billy: Uh, excuse me. (Chuckles) This is yours if you can keep that patio closed for a private party, okay? All right. (Clears throat) Oh, so you do have it. I thought maybe you weren't answering it because you left it at home.

Mac: Sorry. I just thought that, um...

Billy: It was better that we didn't speak. It's ironic, seeing that six years ago tonight, we, uh, had a lot to say to each other, including, um...

Mac: "I do."

Billy: Yeah, you know, you said it with more feeling last time.

Mac: Well, a lot's happened since then.

Billy: Can't we pretend it didn't?

Mac: Billy.

Billy: Just for tonight, okay? I just-- can't we go back to being those kids again? I know you're wearing Raul's ring, and I am married with a daughter, but does that really mean that we can't just sit down, hang out, have a few laughs like we used to? Huh?

Mac: Have a seat.

Billy: (Clears throat)

Adam: (Sighs)

Adam: Who's there?

Victor: It's me. The detective is on his way.

Adam: Good. Maybe he can tell you I'm not the one terrorizing Ashley, so, uh, you can find the real culprit behind all of this and end her suffering.

Victor: You sound almost empathetic as far as Ashley's suffering is concerned.

Adam: I'd also like to clear my name.

Victor: Of course you would.

Adam: You can't even consider the possibility that I'm innocent? I mean, I-I can't go 10 feet out the front door without alarms going off. And I'm blind. What are you doing?

Victor: Just checking.

Adam: You happy now?

Victor: Mm-hmm. Just making sure it was working.

Adam: Yeah. You're really reaching. Come on. Think about it, Victor-- my present condition. And before you say it, no one's helping me, okay? You can check the security logs. The only people that ever come to visit are Rafe and Heather. And the only person I've ever had to clear was a doctor for your wife. Would you, uh, would you rather I just ignored her cries for help?

Victor: As long as you're not responsible for those cries.

Adam: You know, Victor, someday the truth is gonna come out, and when it does, uh, I'm gonna want an apology.

Victor: All right.

Adam: (Sighs)

Nikki: Here's some tea. Is there anything else I can get you?

Ashley: No, thank you. Ever since I moved into this house, it's as if every corner I turn, I find Sabrina's ghost.

Nikki: Ashley, it's not the house or Sabrina's ghost. But the person behind this wants you to think that.

Ashley: You really feel its Adam?

Nikki: I absolutely do. And I'm certain that once Victor exposes him, all of this madness will stop.

(Doorbell rings)

Victor: Are you still here?

Ashley: Yes. I asked her to stay.

Victor: Yes? All right, come in.

Estella: (Sighs) When Nikki said you were-- you and Ashley were willing to listen to what I said, my side of the story, I was very happy.

Rafe: She hasn't smiled like this in weeks.

Nikki: Well, um...

Estella: What's wrong?

Nikki: (Sighs) Estella, there's been another incident.

Estella: (Sighs) Dios mío.

Rafe: What happened?

Victor: Why don't you take a look yourself?

Estella: (Gasps)

Rafe: I-I don't get it. What is it?

Estella: It's from the statue of Sabrina. Who would do such a horrible thing like that?

Victor: Yes, who, indeed? I've called the police. They're on their way over. I'd like you both to stay, all right?

Cane: (Chuckles)

Lily: Hey, what took you so long? I thought no one was here.

Cane: Oh, I'm sorry. I was in the back rearranging stuff. So what are you doing? I thought you were home, uh, getting the bedroom baby-making-friendly.

Lily: Well, I was, until I got a craving for that Thai place around the corner.

Cane: Aw, will Humphrey survive without you?

Lily: Actually, I left him with Paula.

Cane: Isn't it great having dog-loving neighbors?

(Chuckles)

Lily: (Chuckles) Well, yeah, but we should be careful, or she might end up keeping him.

Cane: Mm.

Lily: So...

Cane: So.

Lily: So...

Cane: Mm?

Lily: You up for dinner?

Cane: I'm up for anything, as long as you're there.

Lily: Well, that's one thing that you'll never have to worry about.

Cane: You promise me that?

Lily: I am not going anywhere.

Cane: Mm.

Lily: Not now, and not ever.

(Chuckles)

Cane: Mm.

(Sighs)

Nina: I've told you everything I know.

Jill: But I don't understand. How did sandbags get in there?

Nina: Yeah, well, I have my suspicions.

Kay: A-are you saying you think the doctor who did the original D.N.A. tests could somehow be responsible?

Paul: Well, that seems like the most likely explanation, especially since the guy was charged with, uh, falsifying evidence in another case and disappeared.

Nina: Yeah, we can't trust those D.N.A. tests at all now, which means that there's no proof that Cane's a Chancellor.

(Cell phone rings)

Paul: Excuse me. I have to take this.

Jill: Well, it doesn't prove that he's not my son.

Nina: (Scoffs) You just cannot accept that you might have been played, can you?

Paul: (Stammers) This is the morgue. Yeah, could you say that again, please? And you're absolutely certain? Okay, um, thank you. I really appreciate that. Wow. Um, that was the morgue attendant. Before we left, I had the medical examiner run a test on the interior of the coffin.

Nina: Can they get D.N.A. from that?

Jill: Oh, dear God.

Paul: There was no D.N.A to test, because there was never a body in the casket.

Billy: Well, it's really-- it's no big deal.

Mac: Uh-huh. Like it was no big deal when you scored the "Glow by Jabot" campaign?

Billy: Well, I mean, how could that really have been a big deal when everybody knows I got it because I'm an Abbott?

Mac: No, that's not the only reason. You were pretty hot back then.

Billy: Yeah, as opposed to, uh, what now?

Mac: (Sighs) You're still hot.

Billy: Well, I'm surprised you noticed. You were so busy trying to be the perfect student.

Mac: I was not.

Billy: Straight A's, honor roll.

Mac: I did other things.

Billy: Uh-huh.

Mac: So what if I was never the party girl type?

Billy: Oh, you were the party girl type. You just didn't like to show it, except for the night that you were crowned prom queen. Oh, yeah, you were all over that.

Mac: Come on. We both know it was more of an anti-Brittany Hodges vote than a pro-Mac Browning vote.

Billy: Yeah, well, whatever it was, it was one of the best nights of my life. The first time we got to dance? Ooh, I knew I was in trouble.

Mac: Oh, God, you? I was a nervous wreck. In front of all those people?

Billy: Tell me you got over that by now.

Mac: I have not had to find out.

Billy: Oh. Well, excuse me. I think that, uh, oh, yes, this should keep the jukebox busy.

(Coins jingle)

Mac: Oh, unh-unh. No, I am not gonna make a fool out of myself out here. Unh-unh. No.

Billy: Which is exactly what I've been doing since you showed up, so the way I look at it, you owe me.

(Chuckles)

Jill: Wait, if there was no body in that casket, does that mean that Phillip was never buried?

Kay: W-w-wait, wait. Ju-just a moment. Now I have heard of funeral homes dumping bodies.

Nina: (Groans)

Kay: Well, people stealing them for organs or--

Jill: (Sighs)

Kay: Or a cadaver. (Sighs) I-I certainly never thought that--

Nina: That it could happen to someone you love.

Kay: Right.

Paul: Well, I know there wasn't a-a formal viewing.

Jill: No, or-- or a private one that I was aware of.

Nina: No. The last time I saw Phillip, he was in that hospital bed, and I could barely get through that. The thought of seeing him in a casket was just--

Jill: I know. It was too much for all of us.

Kay: Okay, but still-- still, we--we should have been more careful. Not you, Sweetheart. Not you. Us. You were just a teenager, with a baby, no less. Jill and I should have made certain the arrangements were handled more properly.

Nina: If-- if there was never any body, that means that the test to prove that Phillip wasn't your son-- that never happened.

Jill: W--

Nina: Which means he still could be.

Jill: No, no, no, no, no. You are forgetting the other D.N.A. test that he and I took that proved he was my son.

Nina: And there was another one that said he wasn’t. There's a 50/50 chance, Jill.

Jill: No. I will not let you put him through that again.

Nina: And I'm not gonna let some con artist rob my son of his birthright. Either you get Cane to take another test, or I will.

Lily: Mmm. Oh, my gosh, this is so good. Try this. Is that heaven, or what?

(Chuckles)

Cane: You know what's heaven? You and me here together is heaven.

Lily: Well, you'd better get used to it 'cause you married me for life, remember?

Cane: You know, I'm gonna hold you to that.

Lily: Yeah.

(Chuckles)

Cane: Mm-hmm.

(Cell phone rings)

Cane: Excuse me. Hey, Mom. M-mom, slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down. Um, I'm at Jimmy's with Lily. We're having takeout. Okay. All right. I'll see you--I'll see you here.

Lily: Is everything okay?

Cane: Um, she didn't say, but it-- it doesn't sound good.

Victor: This is the latest incident clearly meant to torment Ashley.

Wallace: So you say this was attached to a statue on the property here, which means whoever did it had to have access to the grounds?

Victor: You bet. And I hope this evidence will be sufficient to prosecute whoever's responsible for these stunts.

Wallace: There are laws about using the mail for this kind of assault, so whoever did this will definitely be charged with a serious offense.

Nikki: Good. I'm glad to hear it.

Ashley: Maybe now we'll finally get some resolution.

Wallace: All right, why don't I take this downtown?

Victor: Officer, kindly conduct the investigation here. I'll make whatever resources you need available, all right? I want this torment to end today.

Adam: And so it begins.

Wallace: Yeah. All right. Thanks. So the name and the address on the overnight mailing label were fabricated.

Ashley: That's not surprising.

Victor: What about fingerprints?

Wallace: I wasn't able to lift one from the piece itself, but I did manage to lift one good one from the box.

Victor: I'd like you to compare that good one with fingerprints from that lady and that gentleman, all right?

Nikki: (Scoffs) Victor.

Rafe: Unbelievable.

Victor: And, uh, check the fingerprints of my son Adam, as well.

Estella: First, you accuse me, and now you go after my nephew?

Victor: Your nephew may have been an accomplice without us knowing it.

Rafe: What are you-- are you kidding me?

Nikki: Estella is family. You've--you've known Rafe since he was practically a baby.

Victor: I am protecting my baby and Ashley, all right?

Rafe: Well, I won't do it. Neither will she.

Wallace: If they don't submit voluntarily, I'll have to go get a warrant.

Ashley: If you're innocent, then why don't you just put an end to the suspicion?

Estella: I thought you said they wanted to hear my side.

Nikki: I am so sorry.

(Sighs)

Victor: (Sighs) You either agree to having your fingerprints taken now, or I'll urge the D.A. to issue a subpoena for them, all right?

Rafe: Go ahead. I'll fight you every step of the way.

Estella: No. No, you won’t. I can't take it anymore, Rafe. Tell me what I have to do.

Victor: I'll leave them to you.

Nikki: Victor, please don't do this.

Victor: It's already done.

Wallace: So look. Our C.S.I. van is outside. If you'll follow me, we can take your fingerprints there.

Nikki: Don't worry. Don't worry. It'll be okay. I'm so sorry.

(Sighs)

Victor: Detective Wallace is here. A print was found on the box.

[Adam remembering]

Estella: You'll make sure Mr. Newman gets the things I left in the box over there?

Adam: I have a package that needs to be delivered overnight. Well, lucky for me, my prints are already in the system for comparison. Um, thanks for the heads-up, though, Dad.

Adam: Was there something else you wanted to tell me?

Victor: You're not even nervous, are you?

Adam: I'm not afraid of the truth.

Kay: Paul, thank you for being at the morgue with Nina.

Nina: Oh, it's a good thing he was. Otherwise, I might still be splayed out on that floor.

Kay: (Sighs) I trust you'll keep this all confidential.

Paul: Of course. And if there's anything else I can do, you'll let me know?

Kay: Mm-hmm, I'll call.

Paul: All right. I'll be in touch.

Kay: Bye-bye.

Nina: Bye. Thanks.

Paul: Bye.

Kay: I-I-I don't know. For every answer we get, another question pops up. I don't know what to make of it at all. I really don’t.

Nina: I do. I just wish I could have gone with Jill so I could see the look on Cane's face when he realizes he's been busted.

Cane: So did the morgue have any idea how it happened?

Jill: Not yet. But even if they do find out, the fact is, Phillip's gone. God, this is like with Katherine when I found out that we weren't related. It's like I lost my mother all over again. (Sighs) I'm sorry. Okay, I have lost a lot, but I have gained a lot. I have a beautiful little granddaughter, and I have two lovely daughters-in-law, although I'm not totally sold on Billy and Chloe. But you-- oh, my darling, your love and your loyalty-- you are a man that any mother would be proud to call her son.

Cane: I feel the same way about you, Mom.

Jill: Yeah, well, you're probably the only child of mine who does. It's why it makes this, uh, all the harder to say.

Cane: Say what? What?

Jill: Because there were actually no tests done on Phillip's body, and because there's just a little bit of proof that you really are my son, Nina wants to do another D.N.A. test.

Lily: What? What is with her obsession? Cane, hey, you don't have to do this, okay?

Jill: Look, Honey, I-I don't want to go along with her conspiracy theory, but she's not gonna give in on this, all right? If we want to shut her up for good, we need to give her proof, and if you take the test, that's what we'll be able to give her.

Ashley: How long does it take to compare fingerprints?

Victor: Should be any minute now.

Nikki: The truth is on your side, Estella. Just remember that.

Rafe: You know what? The idea that Victor is putting any of us through this, especially my aunt Estella, just makes me want to--

Adam: Yeah, I'm sorry you got wrapped up in this.

Rafe: Thanks.

Victor: Well?

Ashley: Was anybody a match?

Wallace: I'm afraid so.

Estella: No.

Nikki: No.

Ashley: What did I do to you to make you hate me so much?

Estella: It's not true.

Wallace: Yours were the only prints on that box.

Estella: The box. I want to see it.

Wallace: It's on its way downtown to be logged as evidence.

Estella: Tell me what it looked like.

Ashley: What difference does that make?

Estella: I brought a box of Mr. Newman's things over the other day, remember? Well, maybe whoever's doing these horrible things used it, thinking that it would be traced back to me. I didn't do anything.

Ashley: Are you going to deny having access to the ranch, Estella? My God, you let yourself into this house just the other day with your own key. Can you stand there and tell me that you haven't had an issue with me since the first moment I walked into this house?

Victor: Sweetheart.

Estella: It was you who had a problem with me, right from the first moment. All you did was bark orders, tell me what I was doing wrong...

Ashley: What are you talking about? That's not true.

Estella: What--what I should or shouldn't be doing to take care of Mr. Newman and his family.

Ashley: That's not true. I'd never do that.

Estella: You were cold, dismissive and unkind, maybe because you knew that no matter how hard you tried, you could never replace Nikki or Sabrina.

Victor: Estella, basta! That's enough.

Wallace: I assume you want to press charges?

Victor: You bet.

Nikki: Victor, we are talking about someone's life now...

Estella: (Sobs)

Nikki: Someone you know, deep down, is innocent.

Victor: I want you to leave right now.

Nikki: Again, I'm so sorry. I'll--I'll do everything I can to help you.

Estella: Thank you.

Victor: You do what you have to do.

Wallace: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you're being questioned.

Estella: (Sobs)

Rafe: Tía, don't say a word.

Wallace: If you do not understand these rights...

Rafe: You say nothing, okay?

Estella: (Sobs)

Wallace: As I've read them to you, then, uh...

Rafe: I'll come downtown for you, okay?

Estella: (Sobbing)

Rafe: I love you, okay?

Estella: I love you, too.

Kay: Well, I think you should prepare yourself for the possibility of being wrong.

Nina: And I think you should prepare for the opposite.

Kay: (Sighs)

Nina: Especially now that we know that Violet wasn't even in Genoa City to take the wrong baby.

Kay: Maybe someone else did.

Nina: And maybe there was never even a switch, which would mean that Phillip, not Cane, is Jill's real baby.

Kay: Oh, Nina, I have-- I have such memories of-- of handing off-- oh, I don't know. I--everything--everything was just so fuzzy.

Nina: Katherine, you said yourself, you were in a drunken stupor, nearly blacked out when you supposedly committed the crime. I mean, isn't it possible that the idea of the baby switch was just planted in your head and your mind ran with it?

Kay: Well, you certainly put a lot of weight to the power of suggestion.

Nina: Well, didn't you ever think it was a coincidence that--that you had uncovered this memory of a baby switch at the very moment that you were so desperate to believe that this stranger was actually family?

Kay: Oh, now, come on. Come on, Nina. You make me sound like a desperate old woman.

Nina: No, not desperate. Just, you know, heartbroken. You and Jill both, because you knew that you-- you could have done more to prevent Phillip's death, and you didn’t.

Kay: Are you, uh, trying to tell me that it's possible that Cane was lying all this time, and he was faking his own D.N.A. tests, plus that of poor Phillip's? Next thing you'll be telling me that he's responsible for Phillip's body not being in the casket.

Nina: All Cane has to do is take another test, and if he refuses, then I've got my answer.

Jill: I know that this is insulting and unnecessary, and if it was up to me, I wouldn't give it a second thought...

Cane: I'll do it.

Jill: All right? I have no doubt whatsoever who you are. What'd you just say?

Cane: I said I will do it. If it gets Nina to back off, I will take the test for you. I will do this, Mom.

Jill: (Sighs) Oh, I cannot wait to see the look on her face when you prove her wrong. (Stomps foot) This one is a keeper, okay?

Lily: (Chuckles) Yes, he is.

Jill: All right, Darling, now you call me when you get an appointment, okay?

Cane: All right, Mom. I'll do the test. I'll set it up first thing tomorrow morning, okay?

Jill: Okey-doke.

Cane: Okay, Mom.

Jill: Bye-bye, both of you.

Lily: Bye. (Sighs) Listen, I know you don't want to do this, but maybe it's good that you're getting the opportunity to let everyone know, once and for all, who you are.

Cane: And what if I'm not who they think I am?

Lily: (Scoffs) Why would you say that?

Cane: All I know-- all I know is--is-- is what my uncle told me. I mean, the first test, it said I wasn't a Chancellor. And the second one, I mean-- what--what if Nina was right? What if--if Nina is right?

Lily: Cane, listen. Do--stop. Just don't let her get to you.

Cane: Hey, it's easy for you to say.

Lily: Okay, listen. Worst case scenario, you're not a Chancellor, okay? It doesn't matter to me.

Cane: You say that to me now, Sweetheart.

Lily: Listen, you are the man that I love, okay? No matter what your name is.

Cane: (Sighs) We'd better go. We don't want to leave Humphrey alone. He'll think we abandoned him. Come on.

Lily: Well, one night with Paula, and he won't care.

(Chuckles)

Cane: I gotta close up. Go. Go ahead. I'll meet you at home.

Lily: Okay.

Cane: Okay.

Lily: Remember what I said.

Cane: Okay.

Lily: Bye.

Cane: Bye, baby.

Billy: (Laughs)

Mac: I told you I couldn't dance.

Billy: No, you're doing great. You're doing something. Just...

(Laughs)

Mac: You don't have to make yourself look bad so I feel better.

Billy: Oh, you think that's bad? Baby, how about this? You like this, huh? Gotta get a little of that? Mm!

Mac: Okay, can we stop now? My humiliation is complete.

Billy: How about we just slow it down a little bit?

Mac: (Laughs)

Billy: You know what I'm saying? Mm. Is this better?

Mac: Much.

Billy: Mm. (Clears throat) Ow.

Mac: (Gasps) Oh! Uh, your foot got stuck under my foot.

Billy: Uh-huh. No, I think more you slammed your foot on top of my foot.

Mac: I warned you.

Billy: I think we should just slow it down a little bit-- a little bit more, just for safety... more like that. It feels like we're back on the dance floor. It doesn't seem that long ago, does it?

Mac: No, it doesn’t.

Billy: Mm.

(Groans)

Mac: Billy, we can't go back.

Billy: (Groans) I know. I know. Okay, um, I should, uh, yeah, I better, mm--

Mac: Yeah, you should go.

Billy: Well, thanks for the dance.

Mac: Yeah, you, too. I'll see you around... somewhere.

Billy: Uh...

(Groans)

Mac: (Laughs)

Billy: Hmm. Hmm. Man!

(Sighs)

Rafe: I can't stay long. I've gotta meet my aunt downtown.

Adam: I told you I didn't need your help getting up here.

Rafe: All right, well, I didn't want to say this in front of everyone else.

Adam: That sounds serious.

Rafe: I can't represent you anymore, Adam.

Adam: (Sighs) Why not?

Rafe: Well, I can't be working for Newman and representing my aunt against Victor's charges. You understand.

Adam: (Sighs) Well, um... (Sighs) You know, I'm-- I'm sorry. I gotta--I gotta be honest. I mean, I'm a little shocked, uh, it all went down like this. Uh, Estella was always really good to me.

Rafe: Well, yeah, she's good to everyone.

Adam: You know, I-I-- I get you wanting to believe that, but, uh, I mean, come on, man. The evidence is kind of overwhelming.

Rafe: Are you kidding me? There are holes in this case a mile wide.

Adam: You really-- you really don't think that she's behind these incidents?

Rafe: Adam, I told you before that I think somebody's setting her up at this ranch. When I figure out who it is, they're gonna pay.

Ashley: I thought it was over when Estella was fired. I thought this nightmare was finally over.

Victor: It is, my darling, okay? I don't want you to worry anymore. Now that Estella's behind bars, all you have to think about is you and the baby, okay?

Ashley: Taking care of my baby is the only thing that matters now.

Victor: Yes.

Nikki: Why I bother to even help at all is beyond me.

Paul: Well, it's because you care.

Nikki: About Estella-- yes, I do.

Paul: (Sighs) You care about Ashley and even Victor.

Nikki: I suppose so, even though he doesn't deserve it. But when I think of how scared he is of losing Ashley and that baby...

Paul: I know. And that helps you not be so angry at him.

Nikki: So what have you been up to while I was busy failing at bringing peace to my ex-husband's home?

Paul: Um, I was, um, meeting with a client.

Nikki: I know you can't name names, but you can tell me what it's about, can't you? What is it? Adultery? Robbery? (Gasps) Corporate espionage?

Paul: (Chuckles) I really can't discuss it. But I do know what I'm gonna have. I think I'm gonna go with the, uh, filet mignon.

Kay: Nina, Nina, Nina, I-- Darling, I understand your anger and your frustration. I feel the same way, also.

Nina: You certainly hide it well, and I'm sorry, but it just seems like it doesn't even matter to you that Phillip is gone.

Kay: It--yes, Darling, it does matter. It does matter. And when the funeral director calls, I'll demand a full account.

Nina: That's not gonna bring him back! It was hard enough losing him the first time, but to know that he's been out there somewhere lost.

Kay: I--

Nina: And I've got a son who might be sick, and there's nothing that I can do about it--

Kay: I promise you-- I promise you this. We will get to the bottom of it, for Phillip's sake and for your son’s. I promise you.

Nina: It will take forever.

Jill: Well, at least you won't have to wait to find out about Cane. He didn't even flinch about taking a D.N.A. test, and I have no doubt that when he does, he will be vindicated once again.

Cane: (Sighs) It's me again. By the time you get this, I would have done what I had to do. And maybe then you'll quit running.

Next on "The Young and the Restless"...

Adam: Give it to me.

Dr. Taylor: I can just guess what you're planning to do with it. You'd have to be out of your mind.

Nick: You know, first one in the shower gets to pick the house.

Sharon: Oh!
