Chloe: So I've said it once, and I will say it again. Smart girls make things happen. But first, you need info. That's why I went into Mac's room earlier. And F.Y.I.--it is not snooping when it's for a good cause, right? Guess what I found? Mac was as hung up on Daddy as he was on her back in high school. I know. Yuck. Yuck, yuck, yucky. Don't worry about it. She can't have him. He's all ours. But that's why Mommy needs to get cracking on making us a family again, for keeps this time. And we're a team, right? So you-- you are going to stay in with Grandma and tip back a bottle while I go out. See, Mommy made a phone call and got that ball rolling, so all of our problems will go away--poof. (Sighs) Poof, just like that. You wait and see.
Billy: Uh, should I, um... (Stammers)
Phyllis: Oh, great. Great. We have toys for the shoot. Cute. No place to shoot 'em-- hey, for our kids' issue. Cuddly, squishy kids, make you smile... why am I not smiling? (Sighs) Yes. Yes, this is Phyllis. I am still here. Okay, wait, wait. Time out. Time out. Time out. Let's just-- let's work this out, okay? Yeah, because your assistant says that I canceled the shoot. My assistant says you canceled the shoot. Let's just work it out here and solve this problem because the worst thing is I had to leave my kid at home while I came to work right now to--to fix everything, so let's just, again, work it out so I can get home to my child.
Jack: What a surprise.
Mary Jane: Well, Phyllis is out, but I can give her a call.
Summer: Uncle Jack!
Jack: Hey, kiddo! How are you? What have you and Mary Jane been up to?
Summer: We've been coloring.
Mary Jane: Mm-hmm.
Dr. Taylor: "Play nice, Doc, or kiss your career good-bye."
Ashley: Dr. Taylor, thank you so much for coming.
Dr. Taylor: Not at all.
Ashley: This is Victor Newman.
Victor: Hi, Doc. Nice meeting you. I'm the baby's father.
Dr. Taylor: Oh, well, a pleasure to meet you, too.
Victor: Sorry I wasn't there when you came to see Ashley at the house. It's important that I meet whoever's about to treat her.
Dr. Taylor: Well, naturally. And if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer all of them.
Victor: I'm glad to hear that.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Dr. Taylor: It's good to see you out, Ashley. How are you, uh, feeling?
Ashley: I feel great. I thought it was okay to come out when Victor suggested it, you know? Yeah.
Dr. Taylor: Oh, absolutely. It's a familiar place, no stress, no physical exertion. It was a good instinct to change her environment.
Victor: Thank you. I read your credentials. They're quite impressive. You can see how important it is that we find the best obstetrician possible.
Olivia: Dr. Taylor?
Dr. Taylor: Yes?
Victor: Oh, you know each other?
Olivia: (Scoffs) Well, only by reputation. I mean, Ashley, are you his patient?
Ashley: Uh, yeah. I hope you don't have a problem with that.
Olivia: It--it's wonderful. Dr. Taylor, your career is extraordinary. Ashley, you-- you couldn't be in better hands.
Dr. Taylor: (Chuckles)
Victor: Well, my goodness.
Mary Jane: Summer is not to be disturbed. It is masterpiece time.
Jack: That's funny. I never pegged you as a babysitting type.
Mary Jane: Oh, I'm just full of surprises. When you left my suite earlier, you said you had urgent business. I take it this was it--Phyllis?
Jack: We had fun, didn't we?
Mary Jane: (Chuckles) Yes, we did. No strings. Wh-what I'm saying is that I'm not gonna boil your bunny, Jack. You don't have to make up excuses when you want to leave.
Jack: Okay, fair enough. Obviously, you and Phyllis have gotten close enough that, well, that she trusts you with Summer. I guess you know then, she's not having an easy time of it.
Mary Jane: Yeah. I know that Nick moved out. And it's pretty brutal when you love someone you can't have, no matter how strong you are.
Jack: So I stop by from time to time to make sure she feels supported.
Mary Jane: Mm. Are you this considerate with all your ex-loves?
Jack: All? No, no. (Chuckles) I don't think that would be welcome, no. But those who will put up with me? Yeah, I-I do my best.
Mary Jane: Hmm.
Jack: How about you?
Mary Jane: Me, what?
Jack: Friendly with your exes?
Mary Jane: (Scoffs) No. It's too messy. Friends lead to mixed signals-- old habits, old feelings, and you're-- you're having a drink, and you start talking, and one thing leads to another, and...
Jack: And you're burning up the sheets.
Mary Jane: Yeah. Has that happened to you?
Mary Jane: Lines getting blurred?
Jack: Honestly... (Sighs) Honestly, we're all adults. No. No, we've all moved on.
Mary Jane: Oh.
Summer: Uncle Jack, look what I made!
Jack: What did you make? A butterfly!
Mary Jane: (Chuckles)
Jack: When did you get so talented?
Summer: (Giggles)
Jack: Look at that.
Mary Jane: Mm. Summer, do you think that Uncle Jack should leave so that we can make a whole lot of butterflies? (Laughs) I think it's a good idea. Hmm?
Billy: Oh, wow. You are so beautiful. Oh, yeah.
(Knock on door)
(Knocking)
Billy: Oh, man, somebody wants a Jimmy burger really bad.
Mac: They'll survive.
Billy: Okay.
(Knocking on door)
Raul: Mac, you in there?
Mac: It's Raul.
Jack: So tell Phyllis I stopped by?
Mary Jane: Oh, of course.
Phyllis: Hey, Jack.
Jack: Hey, "Red."
Phyllis: What are you doing here? Oh, my gosh. Oh, thank you. Look at you. Were you good for Mary Jane?
Summer: Yes.
Phyllis: Oh, my gosh. That was crazy. They canceled the location for my kids' toy shoot, so, you know, I had to scramble.
Jack: You had to pitch a Phyllis?
Phyllis: Yes, I had to pitch a Phyllis and unchange it and uncancel it, too. And now I'm here with my best girl in the world, right?
Summer: Yeah.
Phyllis: Oh, good, good. Were you good? Were you good?
Mary Jane: You know what?
Summer: Yes.
Phyllis: Yeah?
Mary Jane: I have got some work e-mails I need to catch up on, so...
Phyllis: Oh, okay.
Mary Jane: And I know you guys have some things to talk about.
Phyllis: Hey, Mary Jane...
Mary Jane: Yeah?
Phyllis: You were a lifesaver. Thank you so much.
Mary Jane: Oh, it was my pleasure. (Makes kissing sound) Bye, Summer, Jack.
Jack: Take care.
Mary Jane: Mm-hmm.
(Door closes)
Phyllis: All right, Summer. So, uh, should I tell Uncle Jack, or should you tell Uncle Jack that that Mary Jane is a keeper?
(Laughs)
Billy: Uh.
Mac: Oh, my God, my hair.
Billy: No, you--you look-- yeah, you're--go ahead.
Mac: I'm fine?
Billy: Uh-huh.
Mac: Okay.
(Clears throat)
(Sighs)
Raul: Mackenzie.
Billy: Hey.
Raul: Hey, Billy.
Billy: Hey, man, welcome back.
Raul: What's up, man?
Billy: Hey, I was just heading out, so, uh, I'll catch you later.
Raul: Yeah.
Billy: Bye.
(Clears throat)
Raul: You okay?
Mac: I'm fine. What are you doing here?
Raul: Chloe Abbott called me. She said you needed me.
Chloe: (Sighs)
Chloe: Okay. Okay, okay. Give me something. Give me something. Oh, yes. Perfect. I was just here, just being a mom getting a hat, and then, oh-- I-I'm sorry. You weren't supposed to be here. I'll--I'll just get going. What? You were with Mac? And then Raul showed up? Wow. I'm shocked. I'm--well, I guess I'll just leave quickly and let you wallow in self-pity in the bed where we used to have sex in.
Chloe: What? You want me now? You want me to kiss it and make it better? (Sighs) Yeah, I can do that, because we're supposed to be together.
Olivia: You know, that conference that you led last year on endometriosis and its impact on carrying to term? It was phenomenal.
Dr. Taylor: (Chuckles)
Olivia: Please excuse me if I appeared rude when I first saw you. I was just completely surprised that you're here instead of Boston, and to find you here with my good friends...
Victor: In other words, you approve of our choice.
Ashley: Our choice? Is that a confirmation?
Victor: Well, don't you think it should be?
Ashley: I do think it should be.
Victor: All right.
Olivia: Wait, you're treating Ashley here?
Dr. Taylor: Wherever my patient needs me to be.
Olivia: That's fantastic. I-I'm sure you've got Ashley's complete history, but I'm happy to fax you over her file in the morning. If you need any help, please feel free to call me.
Ashley: Thank you, Olivia.
Olivia: Your health and the health of this baby is the only thing that matters now.
Ashley: So sweet.
Victor: Anyway, Dr. Taylor, thank you for stopping by. I'm now assured that Ashley will get the best possible care.
Dr. Taylor: Well, it's my pleasure. Ashley?
Ashley: Uh-huh.
Dr. Taylor: You call me any time of night or day if you have any questions or concerns. You have my number.
Ashley: I do--on speed dial, actually.
(Chuckles)
Victor: (Chuckles)
Dr. Taylor: (Chuckles) Good night.
Ashley: Good night.
Victor: Good night, Doctor. Thank you for coming by.
Dr. Taylor: Adam? Taylor. Yes, damn it. I smiled and said all the right things to a deluded woman who thinks she's still pregnant. Happy?
Victor: Are you relieved, my darling?
Ashley: I like him. I trust him.
Victor: Yeah, as do I.
Ashley: Good.
Victor: And with Olivia's approval, I guess it's unanimous. If you'll excuse me, I have a phone call to make.
Ashley: Mm. I would love some time alone with Liv.
Victor: All right.
Phyllis: (Laughs)
Jack: That kid sure has beautiful eyes.
Phyllis: Oh, and a beautiful pout, doesn't she? (Whining) "I don't want to go to sleep." (Normal voice) Little pout.
Jack: Yeah, only she's sound asleep before the lights go out.
Phyllis: Yeah. Oh, look at me. I did a bang-up job of keeping my family together, didn't I?
Jack: That is not on you, and you know it.
Phyllis: Oh, it is on me. Nick isn't here. Her father isn't here. Soon, he's gonna be kissing some other child good night at night, and it's--it's not gonna be this child. It's gonna be another child.
Jack: Phyllis.
Phyllis: Oh, come on. Don't "Phyllis" me. All those years, you wanted a child as much as I did. If Sharon's baby is yours, isn't it gonna upset you that Nick is rocking him or her to sleep at night?
Jack: Phyllis. Phyllis--
Phyllis: What? What? I want to talk. What, do you think I'm obsessed?
Jack: Yeah, something like that.
Phyllis: Okay, well, then let's talk about something else.
Jack: Good idea.
Phyllis: Okay.
Jack: What about-- what about, how's work?
Phyllis: Oh, work is good. (Chuckles) Let's talk about Mary Jane, my P.R. virtuoso and how good she is for you.
Jack: She's an interesting lady.
Phyllis: Ooh. Ooh. Ooh, "Interesting." You've seen her naked. Let me tell you something about us women. We don't want to be called "Interesting" after you've seen us naked.
Jack: I don't want to have this conversation with you, okay? She gives me a kick. We have an easy repertoire. But believe me, there's nothing serious going on. Neither one of us wants anything intense.
Phyllis: Mm, yeah, you don't know that.
Jack: I do know that. Hell, she lied to me about being married so that no one would come on to her.
Phyllis: Well, she didn't lie to you. She said she was married-- past tense.
Jack: Trust me. She lied. She told me her husband was still around. Uh, she took a text message from him while we were together.
Phyllis: (Chuckles) Oh, I love that.
Jack: Yeah, well, made me feel like a jerk.
Phyllis: Even better.
Jack: I should have known you'd be amused by this.
Phyllis: (Laughs) I am.
Jack: No, the point is, this is all casual for both of us.
Phyllis: Oh, Jack, no, no, no. I think that she wants it to be a little more serious than that. I don't know. I don't think it's such a bad idea.
Jack: (Sighs)
(Bell jingling)
Mary Jane: He couldn't get out of my bed fast enough, kitty. Why? To go to her? Phyllis? (Sighs) What, to hold her hand and dry her tears? And he lied right to my face. He said that he never crossed the line with exes. Hmm. Maybe he lied because he regrets it. Maybe Phyllis seduced him, and he wished it never happened. (Sighs) We were happy here. (Chuckles) We were.
(Knock on door)
Mary Jane: Oh, it's him. I'm sorry.
(Bell jingling)
Mary Jane: (Whispers) Okay.
(Sighs)
Mary Jane: (Sighs) (Normal voice) Victor? Uh, wh-- what are you doing here?
Raul: As soon as Chloe called me, I got on the first plane out here.
Mac: She shouldn't have done that.
Raul: What, called me?
Mac: Worried you. Was your flight okay?
Raul: What?
Mac: That was stupid.
Raul: Are you okay? Did anything happen? Because Chloe didn't give me any details.
Mac: No. You know what? Um, it was good that Chloe called you because we need to talk.
Chloe: (Gasps) Oh! Oh.
Billy: Oh. Chloe.
Chloe: Why don't you scare me a little more next time?
Billy: (Scoffs) I live here.
Chloe: (Sighs) I know. I'm sorry. I just--I came by to get Delia’s hat. We're going to the park tomorrow. She's got her eye on this 10-month-old cutie. (Chuckles) Older men. Smart girl.
Billy: Chloe, you came here at this time of night for a hat?
(Clears throat)
Chloe: (Sighs) You think I like these awkward run-ins right in front of the bed where we used to make love? I mean, I live with my mom now, which I hardly did growing up, so now it's really bizarre because I'm doing it as a pseudo-wife and an actual mother.
Billy: So that's what's got you so jumpy is living with "Ess"?
Chloe: You know, it wasn't too long ago-- you and I, New York, diners, having fun, laughing. And now we have visitation schedules and awkward run-ins? And this bed-- this bed-- we might as well burn it because when I think of all of the times that we actually--
Billy: Yeah, you think about that, too? You and me in New York--
Chloe: Why aren't you at the bar pining after Mac?
Billy: Yeah, well, Raul showed up, so...
Chloe: Wow. Like, "Surprise?"
Billy: Oh, yeah, like, "Surprise!" Weird.
(Clears throat)
Chloe: I'm sorry.
Billy: Well, you know, I mean, it is what it is.
Chloe: (Scoffs) I'm sorry. I'm sorry? What am I saying? Now I'm being sympathetic to you when your crush's fiancé is showing up. I have seriously-- I seriously lost my mind. I have lost my mind. I have to go. I just--I don't even know why I'm here. I don't—
(Sighs)
Billy: (Stammers) Chloe? Just wait, you know? Um, you don't--don't go.
(Clears throat)
Mac: You must be tired.
Raul: You want to talk about tired? Four planes, two buses, and that jeep to that camp in Darfur. Then--then getting off the jeep and wanting to sleep for a week. Or--or better yet, let's go back to D.C., thinking that I could actually go from a desk job to fieldwork. Idiot. But there was this woman, and she was doing six things all at the same time, and she was totally focused, and she turned her head to see who the newbies were, and she wasn't some amazing stranger. She was you... Mackenzie. My friend, all grown up, capable and tough, generous and attentive... all that going on in your mind, and you still found the time to show me mental tricks to get me through the day, how to care, but--but not let it kill you. You got me through it. It's not like I-I-I planned on falling in love in that place. Hell, just getting to sundown was a win every day. But being with you, I had no choice. I had to love you, and I always will, Mac.
Mac: Stop.
Raul: I--
Mac: Stop, please. Just stop.
Billy: You know... (Sighs) You don't have to go. Delia's fine.
Chloe: I have her hat.
Billy: Right now. Look at you. I didn't know you got nervous.
Chloe: (Sighs) I'm not nervous.
Billy: No?
Chloe: No, I'm annoyed. You're in my space.
Billy: Oh, well, you used to like that.
Chloe: Well, I don’t.
Billy: No? You don't?
Chloe: No, I don’t.
Billy: Not even a little? Hmm?
Chloe: No.
Billy: Not even a little?
Chloe: (Sighs)
Billy: Mm-hmm.
Chloe: (Groans) Damn you! I am not your consolation prize. I told you that.
Billy: (Chuckles) Oh, I know who you are, Honey. Come on. I mean, you're my wife. And this is all part of your hard-to-get game. I know you, okay? Just as well as you know me, and right now, Honey, mm, you want me. You know you want me.
Chloe: (Sighs)
Olivia: You have scored a major player with Dr. Taylor.
Ashley: You're really not upset?
Olivia: You're glowing. How could I be upset?
Ashley: Because you just found out by walking into a restaurant that I'd replaced you with another doctor.
Olivia: (Laughs) Okay, maybe a little bit jealous.
Ashley: (Laughs)
Olivia: But--but not because he's treating you and I'm not, but because he's been able to make you feel so comfortable and secure, and that's what a doctor should do, and I-I wasn't able to do that.
Ashley: Well, that's kind of true, but only because you're my friend, and I think as a friend, you were worried.
Olivia: Oh, well, you know, "First do no harm," which means you're not supposed to stress out your patient, especially if your patient happens to be your best friend.
Ashley: Okay. Just--it's okay. I'm so happy that we're doing this. I'd forgotten that we could just talk to each other again.
Olivia: We can. Okay, I need you to spill the beans and tell me how Victor...
Ashley: Mm?
Olivia: Pulled strings to get Dr. Taylor to take your case. It's not like the man's waiting for patients.
Ashley: Oh, yeah, it wasn't Victor, actually. It was me. I got him. I mean, it was his-- a suggestion, and I'm very grateful.
Olivia: Wow.
Ashley: You're staring at me. Why are you staring?
Olivia: (Laughs) Well, of course I'm staring because it's you. (Stammers) My vibrant, smart friend is back. I mean, you haven't been yourself lately.
Ashley: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I have been here, just outside forces have been in the way. But I'm not gonna get into Estella and all that, okay? (Sighs) I do want to talk to you because you've been saying for a while that you were worried about what having Victor in my life-- how that would affect me. Well, this is it. I mean... (Sighs) He's given me more than I could ever dream of.
Olivia: I'm not worried anymore, okay? The man is wonderful, and I'm not gonna argue about him anymore.
Ashley: It's such a cliché, but this baby's giving me so much joy, Liv. I mean, it just-- you know, it feels right. Having Victor's child feels right.
Olivia: I may worry now and then, but I promise you, I'm gonna try and stay back and just stay out of your business.
Ashley: I worry, too. You know, late at night when those fears creep in, all the "What ifs?" But we're still here. I'm here. (Puts hand on belly) My baby's here. It's wonderful.
Victor: So how are you doing?
Mary Jane: I'm fine. (Sighs) You know, e-everything is, um, everything's just fine.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Mary Jane: I-I mean, I know I to-- you told me to leave, but I had to stay, and it paid off because of Nick and Sharon. Y-you must know the news. They're together now. Here. They have their own suite. Nicholas left his wife.
Victor: My family's none of your business.
Mary Jane: But-- but Jack is free now. No more Sharon. We were together just a while ago.
Victor: Hmm. That's good news.
Mary Jane: Yeah. Remember, you-- you came to me. You said I could win Jack. You were right. I just need time.
Victor: Mm-hmm. So you think you need more time? Well, I'm afraid if I give it to you, you'll just make more mistakes. You have committed a number of missteps. I'm afraid you're bound to fail.
Mary Jane: (Sighs) Everything going on in my life.
Mary Jane: Fail? But I-I just told you. Jack was here tonight in my bed. I'm getting to him. That's what you wanted.
Victor: What about all the things I didn't want? For example, you had the audacity to charge Paul Williams with harassment.
Mary Jane: (Sighs)
Victor: Then you asked the judge to issue a restraining order against him.
Mary Jane: Uh, he did a background check on me.
Victor: Hmm.
Mary Jane: And he found out that my social security number is new, my bank accounts, all my identification.
(Sighs)
Victor: You thought it was a good idea to provoke him? You should have come to me.
Mary Jane: You say that now, but you fired me. So how could I come to you?
Victor: Since I brought you to town, I feel a certain responsibility to help you. You can fix this mess with Paul Williams by asking the judge to drop the restraining order.
Mary Jane: He'll just come at me again.
Victor: He won't have a chance if you go to him and apologize first.
Mary Jane: I-I can't face Paul. You know that.
Victor: You're a very capable woman. I'm sure you'll figure out a way. And if you do, you and I can resume our working relationship.
Mary Jane: But you said you wanted nothing to do with me. You told me to leave town.
Victor: If I wanted you gone, you'd be gone.
Mary Jane: What about Jack and me? What--what--what will happen after all this is done? I need to know.
Victor: It'll be a happy ending for all of us.
Mary Jane: You really think so?
Phyllis: Mary Jane is gutsy, tough, and she can go toe-to-toe with you, and that's a big deal.
Jack: Yeah, as--thanks-- terrific as Mary Jane is, I'm afraid my affections are committed elsewhere right now.
Phyllis: Ohh, me, too. Lucky us.
(Glasses clink)
Phyllis: (Chuckles) She likes you.
Jack: Well, we have already had a cordial conversation about there being no strings.
Phyllis: Okay, but you would be a bad guy if you led her on. You know that.
Jack: No, no, no. That I wouldn't do.
Phyllis: Good, 'cause you're a big-hearted man.
Jack: No, because I learned my lesson a long time ago, three times over.
Phyllis: With three women?
Jack: Three bullets.
Phyllis: Wait a second. Three bullets? As in those scars on...
Jack: Yeah.
Phyllis: Jack, I asked you about those over and over again.
Jack: "Oh, Honey, those scars? Well, that's when I got shot for being a bastard," doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.
Phyllis: But you're telling me this now?
Jack: Yeah, well, I've been thinking about it a lot lately. You, more than most people, know I haven't been terribly lucky in love. This isn't my first romantic disaster, not by a long shot. But maybe my biggest was when I drove a perfectly innocent woman to attempted murder.
Mac: You know how you felt in Darfur? Like you weren't sure how to get through the day? That's how I feel here sometimes. You don't want to know how much thought I put into this shirt, like it was life or death. A shirt. I knew who I was in Darfur. Half the things I do here don't make sense to me, and they would never make sense to you.
Raul: (Sighs) Mackenzie, you just came from violence and hunger and death to this. It's gonna take time to transition.
Mac: I've been home for months.
Raul: Well, let me help you through it the same way you helped me. It's only fair, right? We can do this together.
Mac: You're so sure of everything.
Raul: Do you love me?
Mac: I do.
Raul: Then, yeah, I'm sure.
Billy: Mm.
Chloe: Mm.
Billy: (Sighs)
Billy: (Sighs)
Chloe: What's wrong?
Billy: (Clears throat) I'm sorry, uh...
(Clears throat)
Chloe: What do you mean, "You’re sorry"? You're sorry? You just-- you just kissed me, and I was trying to leave, and you kissed me. You're sorry?
Billy: Yep.
(Sighs)
Chloe: Mac. (Sighs) You can't make love to me because of Mac.
Raul: We love each other. If we could survive Darfur, we can survive anything.
Mac: Chloe was right. I do need you.
Chloe: (Sighs) What, you have scruples now?
Billy: I don't know.
Chloe: You wanted me. You wanted me. It was obvious that you did, but then you had to stop yourself. Why? Because you can't sully the purity of love you have for Mac.
Billy: You're a great girl, okay?
Chloe: I'm a what? I'm a "Great girl"? Wow. Like I'm some one-night stand. I'm not just a girl, Billy. I am your wife... or I was.
(Sighs)
Billy: All right, look, you know, I need some time to think about this, too. It's not easy for me, either, okay?
Chloe: You know what? I don't care. I don't care what you-- what it is for you, Billy, because you know what? You care enough for the both of us. You're just wallowing and whining about everything that you can't have, or everything that you don't have, everything that you want. Meanwhile, you're going out and pining away after some girl, after some girl who probably has no problem having sex with her own fiancé. I am so done with you. I'm done. I'm--
Billy: Are you done? Really? You're done? Until the next time when you come over? I mean, come on. This is us. This is who we are, Honey.
Chloe: How many times have you warned me that you weren't worth the effort? How many times? Believe me when I say this. I am done.
(Ring pings off Billy's chest)
Billy: Uh--
(Door slams)
Billy: (Groans)
Jack: I couldn't exactly press charges. She just wanted to care for me, and I treated her like-- imagine my joy in watching my brother Billy make exactly the same mistakes.
Phyllis: Oh, oh. Well, you have every right to be mad at Billy.
Jack: Oh, I am. I'm furious with Billy, and he knows it. But I also want to tell him I know what it means to be selfish and stupid and have to live with it all later.
Phyllis: You kept this secret from me our entire marriage.
Jack: I didn't want to give you any ideas.
Phyllis: Oh. Smart.
Jack: She was a good person, and she didn't deserve what I put her through. I know I can still be a horse's rear from time to time, but I'd like to think I'm a better man now than I was back then.
Mary Jane: Wow. (Giggles) Today wasn't a total loss, kitty. Jack and I made love, and it was wonderful. And the more I think about it, he and Phyllis won't be having sex anytime soon. But if they do get closer, I know the path I'm going to take. (Chuckles) Summer is such a lovely little girl. You would like her. But the real news-- the real news is Victor. He's back on my side again. (Sighs) He said-- you heard him, didn't you? He said that Jack and I would have our happy ending. I knew that would happen all along. (Chuckles) Mm.
Victor: Did you and Olivia have a good time?
Ashley: We did.
Victor: Yeah?
Ashley: Yeah. Then she got a call from the hospital, and she had to go.
Victor: Oh. Ready to go home?
Ashley: Yeah, I am. It was wonderful to get out tonight. Thank you.
Victor: You're so beautiful. You look glowing.
Ashley: (Laughs) That's what Olivia said.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Ashley: I could give you a whole speech about pregnant women and their hormones...
Victor: (Laughs)
Ashley: But I'm not going to. Bottom line is, I'm really happy, and I've been thinking.
Victor: Thinking about what?
Ashley: Baby names.
Victor: Oh, yeah?
Ashley: Mm-hmm.
Victor: Boy or girl?
Ashley: Mm, I keep feeling like it's gonna be a girl. I don't know why. The one name that I keep coming back to is Hope, but if Hope isn't an option for you, I understand.
Victor: Well, this is a child of hope. I think it's very appropriate. And I adore you.
Ashley: I adore you, too.
