Chloe: Bye, Mom. Bye. Thanks for everything. Thank you. (Sighs) Wish you didn't have to go to work.
Billy: Yeah, well... (Sighs) Jack has a new project for me, so, uh, I gotta go.
Chloe: Oh, well, you're-- you're not wearing this. Unh-unh. No way.
Billy: I like that tie. Ohh.
Chloe: You are very lucky that you knocked me up and not some other girl, let me tell you. Here. Here, this. Much better.
Billy: Oh, yes.
Chloe: Oh, yeah.
Billy: Mm-hmm.
Chloe: There you go.
Billy: Okay, I'm gonna be late. I gotta go.
Chloe: Hey, you know you need me. Yes, you do.
Billy: Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. Bye. See you later.
Chloe: Bye. Have a good day.
Billy: Mm-hmm.
(Door closes)
Chloe: Oh, Dee Dee, you have missed so much since you have been away, and I'm not just talking about the colors of the walls. No.
Billy: Mm.
Chloe: (Sighs) (Knock on door)
Chloe: (Whispering) Come in.
Jack: Anybody home?
Chloe: Shh. Come in.
Jack: Oh, hi--
Chloe: Shh! Baby's sleeping. Hi.
Jack: (Whispering) I was looking for Billy.
Chloe: Oh, you just missed him. (Normal voice) He just-- he just headed into the office. He's, uh, working on that new project you assigned him. Yeah. Oh, is it top secret or something? Am I not supposed to know?
Jack: (Normal voice) Uh, no. No, it's all right.
Chloe: Okay.
Jack: No, I know exactly where to find him.
(Sighs)
Mac: (Laughs)
Kay: Whatever are you listening to?
Mac: (Sighs) I thought everyone was getting ready for the barbecue.
Kay: Uh, listen, I think it's only fair to warn you, I will be inviting Billy and his wife.
Mary Jane: It's, um, Paul, right?
Paul: Paul Williams. We, uh, bumped into each other earlier.
Mary Jane: Did you follow me here?
Paul: Kind of. I tracked you down. I'm a private investigator. But perhaps you already know that.
Mary Jane: And--and how would I know that?
Paul: I'm sorry, but this is driving me a little nuts. I'm sure we have met before, and, uh...
Mary Jane: I suppose we could've shared a plane ride together or something.
Paul: I'll tell you what-- why don't you let me buy you lunch...
Mary Jane: (Sighs)
Paul: And maybe I can jog your memory or you can jog mine?
Mary Jane: Uh, you-- I-I really--I really have a very, very busy day today.
Paul: I'm sure you do, but you gotta eat, right? And I'm never gonna sleep unless I figure this out.
Mary Jane: And we can't have that, can we?
Paul: No.
Mary Jane: Hmm. I'll tell you what-- um, give me a few minutes, and I'll--I'll meet you downstairs, okay?
Paul: Sounds great.
Mary Jane: Great.
(Door closes)
Mary Jane: (Sighs)
[Nick remembering]
Nick: This is really awesome, Sweetheart.
Cassie: You can have it.
Nick: Thank you.
Cassie: No, thank you. I never had a family before, and now I do.
Phyllis: He loves it. He does. Don't you, Daddy? You love it, right?
Nick: Yeah. I do. You're a terrific artist, you know that? Now why don't you, uh, tell me about your picture?
Summer: We're on vacation.
Phyllis: (Gasps)
Nick: We're on vacation?
Phyllis: Vacation?
Nick: All of us?
Phyllis: Whoa.
Nick: That sounds like so much fun.
Phyllis: Yeah.
Nick: I'll tell you what-- why don't we play a game? You draw wherever it is you would like to go on vacation, and then daddy will try and guess what it is. Sound like fun? Yeah? All right.
Phyllis: (Clears throat)
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: You okay?
Nick: Yeah. It helps having Summer here.
Phyllis: I thought it would.
Nick: Yeah.
Phyllis: I'm sorry you're going through this again.
Nick: Sometimes I still can't believe that Cassie's, uh... (Sighs) They say this is supposed to get easier. I'd like to know when that is.
Phyllis: Listen, I want to do something for you to take the pain away. I just...
Nick: Oh, you-- you gave me Summer. She's my little angel, and she's what's gonna get me through the next few days.
Sharon: (Sniffles)
Sharon: Nick.
Billy: Sharon.
Sharon: (Sniffles) Oh, I didn't see you there.
Billy: I was looking for Jack.
Sharon: (Sighs) He's around, I'm sure.
Billy: Are you guys okay?
Sharon: I wouldn't tell him without warning you first.
Billy: Oh, I-I-I know that, I'm just--I saw you crying.
Sharon: Um, yeah, it's just other reasons.
Billy: Sharon, I don't know why you moved back in here.
Sharon: Does it make you uncomfortable?
Billy: We-- (scoffs) I mean, doesn't it make you uncomfortable? You have to face me every day. You have to face Chloe. By the way, if she ever found out, I mean, you know that girl's nuts, right?
Sharon: You--I'm surprised that you haven't told her, and you were the one saying how the truth had to come out.
Billy: All right, whoa, whoa, that's--if... (Clears throat) I'm the father. That's a big "If." I mean, that's a huge, huge "If." However, I-it-- (sighs) I don't want you to tell Jack that he might not be the father, okay? I mean, it--it'll break his heart.
Sharon: He already knows.
Billy: What?
Sharon: No, I mean, he-- not about you.
Billy: Sharon, is-- is there another possible father?
Sharon: (Sighs)
Jack: Oh, you're settling in.
Chloe: Yeah. You like it?
Jack: Yeah. I think you got great taste.
Chloe: Thank you. But don't have, uh, such great taste in men, but...
Jack: Look, I know my little brother can be a little frustrating sometimes.
Chloe: I--well, actually, I was, uh, I was just kidding, because he's been-- he's been great.
Jack: Really?
Chloe: I-I mean, I don't know what got into him. Maybe--maybe something that you said to him the other night when you tracked him down at Jimmy's?
Jack: I don't know. I don't think I get any of the credit there.
Chloe: Come on. You gave him a big kick in the pants, didn't you?
Jack: I told him he'd be an idiot to let you go.
Chloe: You mean he was gonna let me go?
Jack: No, no, no, no. No. No, I was-- I was worried you'd get fed up. He was being so selfish, leaving you here with the baby. But that's Billy... (Sighs) Acting on impulse, not caring what happens after.
Chloe: Yeah. That is Billy. Hmm, maybe he was just acting on impulse this morning.
Jack: What do you say we give him the benefit of the doubt, assume the message got through?
Nick: Thanks for having Mom bring her by.
Phyllis: Of course. I knew you'd like that. Listen, if you need to talk...
Nick: I don't know what's left to say.
Phyllis: Yeah. There's a lot to say. I think the anniversary of Cassie's death is affecting you harder this year. Why do you think that is?
Nick: I don't know.
Phyllis: Oh, okay. Listen, you're not gonna do that, all right? You're not gonna blow me off here. I mean, you said that you regretted that the most after Cassie died. You're not gonna shut down.
Nick: It's just the way I'm wired, all right? I need to work through some things...
Phyllis: Nope.
Nick: Before I share them.
Phyllis: Nope, mnh-mnh. No, you're not. I'm not buying it. We're married. You're not gonna sugarcoat things with me, okay? I can take it. I just want it. I want everything raw. Listen, I can handle anything that you have to say to me. I think I've proven that.
Nick: You've been so amazing, but it doesn't give me the right to just keep piling this stuff on you.
Phyllis: That's what we do. We're married. You're not gonna carry all of this on your own, so talk to me.
Nick: (Laughs) (Stomps his foot) Okay. (Stomps his foot)
Phyllis: What's really bothering you?
Sharon: You misunderstood.
Billy: What, so--so what? There's--got a third contender for Daddy of the year? It's not like-- that I could judge you. Or anything. I...
Sharon: Um... Jack knows that I was with someone else when we were separated.
Billy: You just didn't tell him it was me.
Sharon: I didn't want to ruin your relationship, you know? He--he really loves you.
Billy: Yeah, he does. He does... (Stomps his foot) And obviously he loves you, too, if he's willing to invite you back after knowing that.
Sharon: Yeah, I mean, he never even hesitated.
Billy: Well, maybe you should, because living here-- if this thing blows up in our faces...
Sharon: Wait, what-- what thing? What thing?
Billy: No, don't do that. You know what I mean. I-- look, is this baby's mine, I'm gonna fall in love with it, that much I know, and I will be a good father, but it is not the ideal situation for either one of us. I know it doesn't always look like it, but I love my brother, okay? He is the closest thing to a father that I have, and if I thought there was even a remote chance that you two would've gotten back together, I--you know what? It doesn't even matter, okay? We did what we did, and I hope to God that Jack never finds out because it'll crush him.
Jack: Billy? Want to tell me what I just interrupted?
Chloe: Is Uncle Jack right? Did Daddy get the message?
[Chloe remembering]
Chloe: Mm, hi. Is that my mom? Is everything okay with Delia?
Billy: It was nobody.
Chloe: Okay.
Cordelia: (Fusses)
Chloe: Oh, shh, shh, okay. You need your binky. Where's your binky? Where's your binky? Oh, here it is. Hmm. Your dad left his phone. He left it-- oh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Hold on, hold on. There you go. Yeah.
Chloe: Mac, hmm. That is Daddy's new project. Huh. (Sighs) Remember what Mommy said about playing it cool, letting Daddy come to her? Yeah, well, scratch that. I gotta stay on that man's tail every second.
Paul: I like your glasses.
Mary Jane: Mm, oh, I wish I didn't have to wear them. I'm coming down with a migraine.
Paul: So, what, you're sensitive to light, I guess, huh?
Mary Jane: Yeah. So does this happen to you often, déjà vu?
Paul: Mm, no, not at all. As I was telling you, I am very good with faces.
Mary Jane: Ohh, I'm not. (Laughs) I, uh, once had a doorman who went on vacation and grew a mustache, and when he came back he, uh, well, I introduced myself. I thought he was someone completely new.
(Laughs)
Paul: (Chuckles) Where was that?
Mary Jane: New York. It's my home base.
Paul: New York-- is that where you're from originally?
Mary Jane: Uh, no. No, it's a tiny little town. Uh, you wouldn't know it.
Paul: Try me.
Mary Jane: (Clears throat) Eustis, Nebraska.
Paul: No. (Laughs) Where did you go to college?
Mary Jane: Ohh, all-girls' school, and I'm sure that wasn't it, unless you've had a sex change.
(Laughs)
Paul: (Laughs) Well, no, I'm afraid not.
Mary Jane: Ohh.
(Laughs)
Paul: I definitely recognize that laugh.
Jack: What's going on here?
Billy: We're just talking, Jack.
Jack: It seemed a little more intense than that.
Sharon: No, I was-- I was already emotional before he got here.
Billy: Yeah, and I made a bad situation worse. That's my special talent, but you are in much... (Claps hands) Better hands now, so I'm gonna go, and, uh, see you.
(Door closes)
Jack: What was that about?
Sharon: Um, he--he's worried about you.
Jack: About me?
Sharon: Yeah, because he's-- he's afraid that you might get hurt again, you know? He sees me coming in and out of here. I'm moving back and forth like its some kind of hotel.
Jack: My kid brother is looking out for me? That's rich. Wait a minute, you—
(Keys jingle)
Jack: You're not taking him seriously, are you?
Sharon: Well, Jack, it's just hard for me to know what to do, you know? I've already caused so much damage. It's like I've started this fire, and now it's out of control...
Jack: Sharon, Sharon, Sharon.
Sharon: And there's nothing I can do.
Jack: D-don't, don't, don't--
Sharon: I can't--
Jack: Don't do this to yourself. You did the best you could. Yes, things were out of control for a while. You put a stop to that. You have a fresh new start here. You're bringing this wonderful new baby into the world to a happy, steady, solid life. If you know nothing else about yourself, you are a wonderful mother, right?
Sharon: I want another chance.
Jack: You've got it, and you're giving me one, too, and I am deeply grateful. So stop worrying about me, Billy or anything else. Your only responsibility is to you and this baby.
Sharon: It's not true.
Jack: Now you don't owe an explanation to me or anyone else. It--
Sharon: No, I do, I do. I owe you so much, and I-I owe Nick. I owe Nick the truth.
Nick: I know I'm not saying anything you want to hear.
Phyllis: You're not.
Nick: But I am-- I'm really worried about Sharon.
Phyllis: I-I get it. I'm worried about Sharon. Uh, she seems to be going through a tough time.
Nick: She's unraveling.
Phyllis: But you said that, uh, she's seeing somebody, she--that she's getting help.
Nick: This has been a long time coming. After Cassie died, she got on this path. She took a few steps every day. Nobody saw it coming, but I should have.
Phyllis: Nick, have you forgotten that you were going through hell yourself? I mean, how can you lift somebody up if you're falling apart?
Nick: No, I-- I didn't fall apart. I shut down, like you said.
Phyllis: You couldn't handle the pain.
Nick: Neither could Sharon, but I let her do that on her own. Why would I do that?
Phyllis: Wait a second--
Nick: If I had been there for her, her life would be so different. She would be so different.
Phyllis: A-are you taking this on? Are you really doing that? Is this what you've been wrestling with for days?
Nick: It's like I want to go back in time and just shake myself.
Phyllis: I mean, sometimes we just have to accept, you know, that we did things, we made mistakes, and then we have to move on. Hey, you're a different man now. You're a different man, Nick. You would never do that again.
Nick: You're right, I won’t. I need to be there for her the way I should have the whole time. Just, I'm worried it's too late.
Phyllis: It is too late.
Nick: But she's the one shutting down now, even with me, even today.
Phyllis: Oh, you saw her today?
Nick: Yeah, at the club. (Stomps foot) She told me to stay the hell away from her. I know it's what everybody wants. It's what you want, it's what Jack wants, but I just can't do that. She is drowning. I can't sit back and watch her go under. This is my fault.
Murphy: I'll take 'em out to the pool.
Kay: Okay.
Murphy: Billy and Delia...
Kay: (Grunts)
Murphy: Are going to have a ball with this.
Kay: Thank you, Darling.
Murphy: Yeah.
Kay: Murphy!
(Ball bounces)
Kay: (Sighs) Esther will get it. Um... well.
Mac: You don't have to worry about me.
Kay: Well, I'm not. Uh, you've got a good head on your shoulders.
Mac: It's not my head that's causing the problem.
Kay: Mm.
Mac: I'm always gonna care about Billy, and seeing him this unhappy...
Kay: Is better than not seeing him at all, hmm?
Mac: No. No, I was gonna say... (Clears throat) That it's really hard, that even if he left Chloe, which I've never even once suggested, he'd still be miserable.
Kay: (Chuckles) No, go ahead, go ahead.
Mac: It... (Sighs) It just-- he'd miss his little girl, and he'd feel like he let her down, and--and--and it's just-- it's a no-win situation.
Kay: All right, all right. Now you tell me something. If you hadn't walked in the door the day of Billy's wedding, what do you think would have happened?
Mac: I have no idea.
Kay: But from that moment on, all his focus and his attention has been on you.
Mac: I can't do anything about that. I've tried. I have.
Kay: Well, I'd better check on Murphy. I don't even know if he knows how to swim.
Mac: (Sighs) I'll be right there.
(Door closes)
(Baby toys rattle)
Chloe: Hi, um, the door was open.
Mac: Hi. How are you?
Chloe: I'm not great. No, and I think-- I think you know why.
Jack: I don't-- this is a big mistake. I don't know how you can say you owe this man anything after the way he's treated you.
Sharon: Okay, you know what? Maybe I owe it to myself then. I don't want to be this person lying to everyone!
Jack: I'm not suggesting you lie to anyone. I'm saying, get the facts before you tell him the truth.
Sharon: Well, I didn't have all the facts when I told you. You're saying that I shouldn't have?
Jack: There's a big difference here, and you know it.
Sharon: Really? What's the difference?
Jack: Summer and Phyllis. He's not gonna be able to keep a secret like this to himself. You'd be tearing apart a marriage and turning that little girl's world upside down, and--and say what? Sorry, my bad, false alarm, when it turns out Nick isn't the father, Sharon? You said you don't want to hurt anyone else, right?
Sharon: I don’t.
Jack: Then I don't know how you can even consider telling him.
Sharon: Because I need him. Jack, I need Nick right now.
Phyllis: You weren't-- you weren't gonna tell me that you saw Sharon?
Nick: (Stomps his foot) I didn't want you to misinterpret what--
Phyllis: I--hey, you know. I think that, um, I think that you're the one who's misinterpreting things. Honestly, if--if Sharon wants you to stay away, it doesn't mean that she's necessarily unraveling. Maybe she's trying to work on her marriage. Maybe she's recommitted. She's working things out with Jack. That's healthy.
Nick: No, there is nothing healthy about that marriage. If you would've seen her today-- she's on edge. She doesn't look good.
Phyllis: And you're the one who's gonna bring her back?
Nick: I might be the only one who can.
Phyllis: Really? Are you a miracle worker now?
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: You're not a priest. You're not her doctor. You're not her counselor. You're not her husband.
Phyllis: You need to be reminded sometimes.
Nick: That's not what this is about.
Phyllis: Listen to me. I know guilt, and I know regret... and if you try to go in the past and change things, you're only gonna end up with more guilt and more regret.
Nick: So what if I do nothing?
Phyllis: She has Jack.
Nick: Oh, she has Jack, yeah.
Phyllis: He loves her, Nick. He loves her.
Nick: He is not helping.
Phyllis: And you are getting in her way. Have you thought of that? Maybe Sharon wants to move on. Maybe she wants to move on with her life, but you're not letting her go.
Chloe: Mm. (Whispers) Hey. (Normal voice) So, um, I-I'm sorry, I was looking for Billy. I guess--I guess he's not around.
Mac: Billy hasn't been here all day.
Kay: (Sighs) We were just talking about the both of you. In fact, uh, I'd like to invite you to the barbecue tomorrow.
Chloe: Oh. Um, thank you. Thank you for the invite, but I-- you know, we really need some family time.
Kay: Oh, well, may I take, uh, the baby and show her the decorations out by the pool?
Chloe: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Kay: Mm-hmm.
Chloe: I'm sure she would love that.
Kay: Yeah.
Chloe: Oh, shh, shh, shh.
Kay: Let her meet Murphy, see what she thinks.
Chloe: (Laughs)
Kay: Yes. (Murmuring) Yes.
Mac: Why would you think Billy would be here?
Chloe: I don't know. What was the point of your phone call?
Mac: I found something stupid that I thought would make him laugh. It was just an impulse.
Chloe: Oh, just an impulse. Oh, well, that's great. That's great, so now you and Billy are just running around acting on impulse.
Mac: (Laughs) I didn't even leave a message.
Chloe: I know, but you see-- hmm, you see, you calling is sending the wrong message, because it is hard enough as it is trying to build a life with someone who is-- someone who is as im-immature as Billy without you interfering.
Mac: I'm sorry that things haven't worked out the way you hoped.
Chloe: They would be, if not for you. Don't look at me like that. You saw us at the wedding. You saw us. We were happy. We were having fun. This morning-- God, this morning it was great, it was easy. It was like how it used to be, and you can't even give me that. You can't give me one day. I can't even make love to my husband without you calling-- without you calling and--and reminding him of--of what he's missing!
Mac: I told you already, I'm not a threat to your marriage.
Chloe: Okay, then why are-- what are you doing? Are you just trying to push his buttons?
Mac: No.
Chloe: Then what the hell do you want from him?
Paul: Oh, it doesn't feel like we met through work. Maybe, um, a social connection? Something more personal, like a family connection? I wonder if you know my ex-wife?
Mary Jane: Paul, New York is a very large city.
Paul: How did you know April was from New York?
Mary Jane: (Laughs) It was a natural assumption. I'm from New York, you thought we knew each other, right? Okay, this migraine is pounding. I really need to go lie down, all right? Excuse me.
(Groans)
(Sniffles)
Jack: Is this about Cassie? Nick is the only person in the world who lost what you lost, who knows what you're feeling.
Sharon: Everyone else's heart kept beating, but ours stopped. Ours froze. Maybe it's better that way-- frozen, you know, because when it thaws, even just a little, it's like frostbite, you know. Once it goes away, then the pain comes, and, Jack, it is worse than anything that you could ever imagine.
Jack: (Sighs)
Sharon: That's why I wanted you to take me away. I had this crazy stupid idea that I could escape and go someplace where she had never been, and then that way, maybe I wouldn't feel it so much, but... that's what I'm running from, and Nick's running, too. Is it wrong of me to need him? Probably. Do I care?
Jack: You care about Nick. You care about Nick and what he's feeling, right? And you've said to me he's got an awful lot going on right now. Do you really want to add to that? Do you really want to add to that list of things that you're gonna regret later? Listen to me. For your sake and for Nick's, don't tell him yet.
Sharon: Okay. Okay.
Phyllis: Let's get this all together. Mommy--Mommy needs to go. She's real tired, and we can go home and eat some things, have a hot dog. What do you think of that? (Laughs)
Summer: I want to show Daddy my pictures.
Nick: You know what?
Phyllis: Okay.
Nick: I-I want to see 'em, too, and I'm going to in just one second. I need to talk to Mommy, okay? Just one second.
Phyllis: (Sighs)
Nick: I don't want you to think for one second I don't know what I have here and how lucky I am.
Phyllis: I don't want you to think for one second that I don't need you as much as Sharon does.
Chloe: You know, if it weren't for Delia, I would say to hell with the both of you, because I really-- I really don't like humiliating myself like this. It's--it's not who I am.
Mac: And I'm not "The other woman," and I don't want to start now. I shouldn't have called Billy. It sent the wrong message, which was never my intention. I just... (Clears throat) I really miss my friend.
Chloe: But we both know that the two of you have been more than just friends.
Mac: But we were friends first, and I miss that more than any--
Chloe: What, the sex?
Mac: I can't miss that, because we never...
Chloe: Seriously?
Mac: You really don't need to worry about me. Don't tell Billy this, because it would just hurt his ego, but until very recently, I was seriously involved with someone else.
Chloe: Oh. Who?
Mac: No one you know. Ju--Africa.
Chloe: Another do-gooder.
Mac: Yeah. (Laughs)
Chloe: (Laughs) So what happened?
Mac: Timing. I kind of suck at that, in case you hadn't noticed.
Chloe: I-I've noticed. (Laughs)
Mac: (Laughs)
Chloe: Yeah. Okay.
Billy: Chloe?
(Briefcase thuds)
Billy: Chloe.
Billy: (Humming) Oh. (Brushes his hands together) No messages. Great.
Mary Jane: Hello, Victor? Just calling with your update. Uh, everything is going fine. Jack and I are working very closely. Uh, it's strictly business. It's-- I know that's important to you. Um, there's nothing else to report. I will, uh, check in with you later.
Paul: B-E-N-S-O-N. First name, Mary Jane. Yeah, I need a complete background check. Everything and anything you can find.
Kay: Oh, please, please don't take her yet.
Chloe: I know. Wait, we re-- we really have to go. But we're gonna come back tomorrow.
Kay: Wonderful.
Billy: Hello? Mac?
Chloe: I'll see you tomorrow.
Kay: Good night.
Mac: I'll get the door for you. I promise, tomorrow, I will keep my distance.
Chloe: You know, why don't-- why don't you bring a date?
Mac: (Scoffs)
Chloe: Well, what about the guy you were telling me about? Is he--is he still in Africa?
Mac: He came back to the states before I did.
Chloe: Oh, okay, so are you still in touch?
Mac: Barely.
Chloe: Drop him an e-mail.
Mac: Thanks, but I think I'm just gonna let it be.
Chloe: Let it be. I get it. I get it. Play it cool. Yeah, I do the same thing.
Mac: Mm-hmm.
Chloe: Yeah, okay.
(Door closes)
Chloe: Oh, Mom? Mom, is that you?
Nick: I know what this is. This is all of us at the beach with what looks like some monkeys playing volleyball.
Phyllis: (Laughs)
Nick: You want to go to the beach on your vacation, don't you? I think I want to go to the beach, too. It sounds fun.
Phyllis: That'd be fun. Yeah, I know, right? We need a vacation, all of us. (Sighs)
Nick: Yeah, we do, and we'll do that. Just let me get through the next couple of days.
Phyllis: Sure.
Phyllis: Ahh, you know what? I, uh, forgot. I-I have to, uh, go take care of something. Um, your--your mom wanted me to look at a wedding dress that she really liked, and, um, I gotta go look at it before the place closes, un-unless that-- that screws you up. Is that all right?
Nick: Oh, no, it's--it's-- I'm done for the day.
Phyllis: All right, cool. All right, Sweetie, I'll talk to you later, all right?
Nick: Do you think, uh, Daddy could get one of those, too?
Phyllis: You can have whatever you want. You just have to figure out what that is.
Summer: (Whispers) Crab.
Nick: Yeah, let's color that in.
Nick: Ooh, a spaceship. Let's do a spaceship.
(Door slams)
Nick: I bet that's Noah, huh? All right, Daddy's gonna make a quick phone call. I'll be right back, okay? Draw me a good spaceship.
(Cell phone rings)
Sharon: (Whispers) Nick. (Sighs)
(Door slams)
Jack: Hey.
Billy: What--Jack, what are you doing here, man?
Jack: I wanted to talk to you.
Billy: Okay, what's up?
Jack: Sharon told me what I walked in on.
Billy: Okay.
Jack: I appreciate you looking out for me. Nice to know you got my back.
Billy: Well, hey, what are brothers for, right?
Jack: Look, go easy on Sharon, though. She's having kind of a rough time of it.
(Keys clatter)
Billy: Yeah, I know she is. I know she is.
