Amber: And for your "something new," my very first solo wedding creation.
Kay: Uh-huh. Can I just--a little, tiny--
(Garment bag unzips)
Kay: Oh, that's stunning.
Amber: (Laughs)
Kay: (Gasps) Oh, I couldn't be happier.
Amber: Oh, well, you have no idea how happy it makes me.
Nikki: And for your "Something blue," Cassie gave this to me when Victor and I-- if she were here, she'd want you to carry it.
Kay: I'd be glad to. Thank you, Nikki.
Esther: And "Something borrowed"-- at least that con man I married didn't try to steal it.
Kay: (Laughs)
Esther: I'd better go see if Joe Jr. needs help in the kitchen.
Kay: Okay, fine.
Kay: Anything new in the search for, uh, Annie and Roger?
Nikki: Well, Paul called last night and said he was getting closer.
Kay: Well, he will catch them, and when he does, God, I hope they stick 'em away for life.
Amber: You know, you still need your "Something old."
Kay: Honey, you're looking at her.
Mac: (Chuckles) Grandma, you're the youngest person I know.
Kay: Oh, Mackenzie.
(Telephone rings)
Mac: I'll get it.
Nikki: You know, you have a necklace that would be perfect with that dress. That could be your "Something old."
Kay: Mm.
(Loud crash)
Amber: Uh-oh.
Kay: Uh...
Nikki: Wow.
Kay: Uh, well, you look for the necklace. I'm gonna see if the tent fell down.
Nikki: Okay.
Kay: Come on.
Mac: That was Reverend Morgan. He has the flu that's going around. He's not gonna be able to perform the ceremony tomorrow.
Amber: Oh, no. What are we gonna do? You know what? I have a friend who's an Elvis impersonator in Vegas, but I don't know if he'll be able to get here on such sort notice.
(Stammers)
Mac: Actually, I might-- I might know someone who would be available.
Amber: Thank God. Thank God. I don't want anything going wrong for Mrs. C. (Laughs)
Mac: It's bad enough that she hasn't heard from Jill.
Amber: Yeah. I know your grandma really wants her to come, but personally, I think we're a lot better off without her.
Mac: Billy and Chloe didn't R.S.V.P., either.
Amber: Oh, they didn't? Oh, well, they're coming, definitely. Billy is crazy about Mrs. C., and Chloe--she always wants to be there for the big events, you know? She probably just forgot to respond, you know, being really busy with the baby and work and all that stuff. Um, call her. I'm sure they're coming.
Mac: If you're that sure, I'll put them down for a "Yes."
Amber: Yep.
Billy: (Sighs)
(Stammers) (Cell phone rings)
Billy: (Clears throat) Oh. Hmm. Hello?
Chloe: Billy, you there?
Billy: Well, I think that's obvious.
Chloe: No, I mean there at the pharmacy. I need you to pick up some, uh, superabsorbent diapers.
Billy: Like I'd get anything else.
Chloe: (Sighs) Well, I'm just hoping that this medicine will kick in before the baby gets the bug. Oh, oh, and, um, did you R.S.V.P. for Katherine’s wedding, or should I?
Billy: No, no, don’t. I'll take care of it.
Cane: (Sighs)
Lily: (Chuckles)
Cane: I missed you.
Lily: What? You just saw me an hour ago.
Cane: Yeah, I know, but before that, all those months when I was married to Chloe and you were, uh, dating--
Lily: Dating your brother?
Cane: Yep.
Lily: Yeah, I'm sorry.
Cane: It doesn't matter. I got you back, and I bought this bar.
Lily: Mm-hmm.
Cane: Mm-hmm.
Lily: And we're working on starting a family. I can't wait to have little "Canes" running around.
Cane: Mm, or little "Lilies."
Lily: (Laughs) You're gonna be such an amazing dad.
Cane: And you're gonna be such an amazing mom and wife.
Lily: Well, we have to get married first, and I'm hoping to get some ideas for our wedding at Katherine’s tomorrow.
Cane: Mm.
Jill: Good. I'm glad you're going. Katherine didn't write you off because you're not related.
Cane: Mom, she sent you an invitation, too.
Jill: Oh, please, the only reason she sent me an invitation is because she knew damn well I wouldn't show up.
Kay: (Whispers) 15, 16...
Nikki: Oh, there you are. It took me a few minutes, but I found it.
Nikki: What? What's wrong?
Kay: (Normal voice) Um, this is the necklace that Jill gave me the first Christmas after we learned we were-- we were moth--
Nikki: (Sighs) I'm sorry.
Kay: I invited her to the wedding. I thought possibly if I included her in something like a family celebration, but... she never responded. Try and find something else "Old," all r--all right?
Nikki: Okay. How about this?
Kay: Oh, no, n-Nikki. I-I left that to you.
Nikki: Katherine, it belongs to you. Please, now I want you to wear it.
Kay: Only-- well--well, after the wedding.
Nikki: Yeah, okay. We'll see.
Esther: Oh, Mrs. C., Mrs. C., Joe is threatening to dock the cook's pay if--if she doesn't follow his orders.
Kay: (Laughs) There are times I do miss the diner. Uh, yes, I'll take care of him.
Esther: Oh, good. Oh, good.
Kay: I know how to do it by now. Joe! What in the hell are you doing now?
Nikki: Hey, can you talk? It's about Katherine.
Heather: I heard Roger and Annie Wilkes were just brought in.
Paul: Yeah, don't say your old man never did anything for you.
Heather: All for me, right?
Paul: (Laughs) Okay, so maybe Michael will benefit from their arrest, but come on. The guy used to be a partner of mine. Besides, the two of them might be able to shed some, uh, light on what caused Kevin's breakdown.
Heather: It doesn't mean he'll walk. I assume you know you're looking at multiple counts of kidnapping, extortion, fraud, weapons charges, interstate flight-- oh, and, uh, Roger, get ready. I don't think Esther Valentine will be as forgiving as some of your other wives.
Annie: Hear that, Romeo?
Michael: Where are they?
Paul: Hey. Right there.
Michael: They say anything about Kevin?
Paul: Oh, come on, Michael, you know as well as I do they're not gonna say anything unless they think it's gonna help their case. I'll talk to their defense attorney, as soon as one is assigned.
Michael: Consider me assigned. Excuse me. I'd like to have a word with my clients.
Heather: You don't think this is gonna be a conflict of interest?
Michael: You mean because they're eyewitnesses to the torture my brother suffered? Not at all.
Heather: Excuse me.
Roger: Your brother?
Annie: You mean the one Clint made us lock up in the trunk of that car?
Michael: What?
Roger: Annie.
Annie: I can't believe you're still protecting that S.O.B.
Roger: Because he could kill us.
Michael: Not if he's already dead-- massive coronary.
Annie: (Scoffs) Served the bastard right.
Michael: I'm surprised you didn't hear. It was all over the news.
Roger: Well, we've been busy.
Michael: Too bad you didn't bring my brother with you. Maybe he wouldn't be locked up in a padded cell right now.
Annie: Told you we shouldn't have left him alone with Clint.
Roger: Annie, shut up.
Michael: All right, here's the deal. You tell me everything you know, and I will do my best to make sure you get the lightest sentence possible. If you don't, you're on your own. What's it gonna be?
(Doorbell rings)
Amber: Don’t. Don’t. It could be Murphy.
Mac: I doubt he'd be ringing the bell. He lives here.
Amber: Well, you know what? He could have forgotten his key. If he sees this dress before the wedding, the whole marriage is just doomed.
(Sighs)
Billy: Bad time?
Mac: Perfect.
Billy: Really?
Mac: We were just talking about you a minute ago, that you and--and, uh, Chloe hadn't RSVP'd for the wedding.
Billy: That. (Clears throat) Uh, yeah.
Mac: I know Grandma would be really happy if you came.
Billy: What about you? I mean, the last time that we saw each other, we really didn't--
Mac: I don't think we should talk about that.
Billy: Why not?
Mac: Should I put you down for two, or are you gonna bring the baby?
Billy: Put me down for one. I'm gonna come by myself.
Paul: Hey, Baby.
Nikki: (Gasps) (Sensual voice) Hey, Baby.
Paul: How are you doing?
(Chuckles)
Nikki: (Normal voice) I was so surprised when I called you. You were already back. You caught them, I assume.
Paul: They are being fingerprinted as we speak. Now you mentioned something about Katherine. I-I hope the wedding's still on?
Nikki: Oh, God, yes. Oh, I can't imagine it not being on unless she and Murphy eloped.
Paul: (Chuckles)
Nikki: No. No, no. She's happier than I've ever seen her...
Paul: Well, good.
Nikki: Except, of course, you know, where Jill is concerned.
Paul: Wh-what has she done now?
Nikki: Well... (Sighs) The latest is she has not responded to the wedding invitation Katherine sent her.
Paul: Okay, so she's not coming. Maybe that's not so bad after all.
Nikki: Yeah, but not for Katherine. I mean, she acts like she doesn't care, but I know, deep down, she does. It's not gonna be the day that she wants it to be if Jill isn't there, which is why I'm thinking of going to her and talking to her and maybe I can change her mind.
Paul: You?
Nikki: Yes. And we have had our moments of civility.
Paul: Um--
Nikki: Okay, all right, one--one moment. After the funeral, she was human.
Paul: Okay. That was before she found out that she was not Katherine’s daughter.
Nikki: So you don't think I should bother?
Paul: Well, I think that no matter what you or anybody else says that Jill has way too much pride to walk into that wedding and pretend like she's okay that Katherine Chancellor is not her mother.
Nikki: But for Katherine’s sake, I'm gonna give it a shot.
Jill: How can I sit there with her real family, pretending that she cares about me the same way she used to when I know she doesn't?
Cane: Mom, the D.N.A. results do not erase the way Katherine felt about you any more than they will erase the way I feel about Cordelia.
Jill: You wanted Cordelia, right? Katherine never wanted me. Katherine had a stroke when Charlotte Ramsey told her that I was her daughter.
Lily: Um, I'll be in the back if you need me.
Cane: Yeah, I think that's a good idea.
Lily: Okay.
Cane: All right, Mom, listen. Katherine told me that you and I will always be family, all right, no matter what, and I believe her. So just put your pride aside for one day, please, and just try and believe it, too.
Jill: Don't you think I would love to? Don't you think I would love to go up to her and throw my arms around her and tell her how much I miss her?
Cane: Then do it.
Jill: I can't do that.
Cane: And just go to the wedding.
Jill: I can't be in that house where we lived as mother and daughter and know it will never be that way again. I can't open my heart to her when the possibility exists that she could slam the door in my face. It would just kill me, Cane.
Roger: After Clint saw how freaked out your brother was being cooped up in the trunk, he figured he could control Kevin by putting him in small spaces.
Annie: That's when he started locking Kevin in the closet.
Michael: You didn't try and stop him?
Annie: We did.
Roger: But we knew if we pushed him too far, we'd be his next victims.
Annie: Oh, poor kid-- whimpering for Daddy to let him out.
Roger: We saw your mother on TV talk about how Kevin's old man would stick him in closets. It's--it's no wonder Kevin reacted the way he did.
Michael: Did Clint watch this broadcast?
Annie: Mm, not while we were there.
Roger: But chances are he caught it. I mean, he had the news on constantly.
Michael: I would like more time with my clients.
Heather: You can have it, after they're booked.
Michael: One minute alone, please. With your permission, I would like to tell the A.D.A. what you just told me.
Roger: But that would incriminate us.
Michael: (Chuckles) That boat sailed a long time ago. Now if you cooperate with the authorities, they'll go a lot easier on you.
Annie: Fine.
Roger: Fine.
Michael: Officer, they're all yours. It's just what I thought. Clint used what he knew about Kevin's childhood to brainwash him. He locked him in a closet like Tom used to. It's no wonder Kevin's had such a bad reaction to his current situation.
Heather: Let me know when you get a hearing date for, uh, those two, okay?
Michael: Did you hear anything I said?
Heather: I did.
Michael: And?
Heather: And I think that they would say anything to get themselves a lesser sentence.
Michael: All right, I am going straight to Judge Aldridge with this. I'm gonna petition him to release Kevin into my custody, and I'm gonna have him placed in a mental health facility of my choosing.
Heather: Go ahead, go ahead. But you will be wasting your time. You and I both know those cons will never stand up as credible witnesses in court. So basically, anything they say is irrelevant.
Mac: So, um, if you're coming alone, does that mean that you and Chloe...
Billy: Chloe's sick. She's got this bug that's been going around.
Mac: Reverend Morgan had the same thing. Um, I hope that she feels better.
Billy: I'm sure she will. So is there anybody coming that I might know? Oh, really? Come on, seriously?
Mac: Is there a problem?
Billy: Well... (Scoffs) I thought that he sided with our mother and is completely having nothing to do with Katherine. I--
Mac: I guess you thought wrong.
Billy: And she's fine with him dissing her job offer? Really?
Mac: He didn't dis her job offer. She offered him Jill's old job, and he didn't feel comfortable taking it. Grandma wouldn't hold that against him any more than she'd hold it against me.
Billy: You?
Mac: I told her that I wasn't into the whole corporate scene, and I--and I'm gathering that neither his he, given that he just bought a dive bar. I respect him for not taking the easy way out.
Billy: What, like me?
Mac: You're an Abbott. You're invested in Jabot. It makes sense for you to be there. I just think I could be of better use somewhere else.
Billy: True to yourself no matter what, huh?
Amber: You're not Murphy.
Billy: What gave it away?
Amber: What are you doing here?
Billy: RSVP'ing for the wedding.
Amber: Couldn't call?
Mac: Okay, um--
Billy: (Chuckles)
Mac: Thanks for coming by.
Billy: Yeah.
Mac: I hope Chloe feels better.
Amber: Chloe's sick?
Billy: I'm sure she'll live.
Billy: So, um, about the other night, I--
Mac: Forget it. I have. I'll see you tomorrow.
Mac: (Sighs)
Amber: So if Chloe's sick, does that mean she's not coming to the wedding?
Esther: Wh-what? Katie's sick?
Amber: Well, according to Billy.
Esther: Oh, I-I'd better see if she needs anything.
(Telephone rings)
Chloe: (Sighs) Hello?
Esther: Oh, hi, Honey. Um, Billy said you were sick. Oh, boy, you sound worse than--
Chloe: Billy's there? Wait, I-is--is Mackenzie there? Well, of course she's there.
Esther: Look, Billy already left, and don't start stressing. It'll weaken your immune system.
Chloe: By the time I have these antibiotics kick in, I'll be fine.
Esther: Oh, Honey, I'm so happy to hear that. Now you let me know if you need anything, okay?
Chloe: Okay, thanks. (Sighs) What I need is for my husband to stop stalking his ex.
Esther: It's not serious at all, and Katie will be able to make it to the wedding tomorrow.
Mac: Great.
Amber: I don't know how you do it.
Mac: Do what?
Amber: I've had a lot of exes-- Billy’s brother being one of them-- hell, Billy himself. (Laughs) But if one of them were to stop by and tell me they were coming to my grandmother's wedding...
Mac: (Sighs)
Amber: A wedding that is taking place at the exact same spot that he and I, uh, tied the knot, I would be flipping out. (Chuckles) Whoo.
Mac: Will you tell Grandma I had something to do and, um, that I'll be back later?
Amber: Uh-huh.
Billy: Antibiotics and a superabsorbent jumbo pack, as requested.
Chloe: Oh, thank you.
Billy: Yeah.
Chloe: Oh, well, this should get me up to speed for the wedding in time tomorrow. Ugh. Oh, so what--what is the setup at Katherine’s? She's doing by the pool, I assume?
Billy: How should I know?
Chloe: Uh, I don't know, because you were just there?
Billy: How do you know that?
Chloe: Was it a secret? I figured you were just dropping by to R.S.V.P. I hope that you RSVP'd for just the two of us 'cause I got us a sitter.
Billy: (Sighs) Are you sure you're gonna be up for this?
Chloe: I just said that I would be. Plus, I'm the assigned stylist for the "Restless Style" wedding issue, so I have to be.
Billy: Yeah, but you know, I'm sure that Nikki can get somebody else to cover it, and you're really not even that close to Katherine.
Chloe: I-I'm not? Oh, because she's my Godmother, my mother's best friend-- oh, right. She also put me in school for 12 years.
Billy: Okay, okay. I got it. Okay, yep. Got it.
Chloe: This has nothing to do with whether or not I'm close with her, or whether or not I'm sick. You don't want me to go, and we both know why.
Nikki: In case the one Katherine sent you got lost in the mail.
Jill: What are you, her messenger now?
Nikki: She doesn't know I'm here, but she does want you at the wedding.
Jill: Nikki, if she wanted me at the wedding, she would come to me herself.
Nikki: Why? So you can spit in her face like you've always done whenever she reaches out to you?
Jill: (Scoffs) you've delivered your message. Why don't you go and leave me in peace now?
Nikki: No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere until I wake you up, and you see what you're doing, to Katherine and yourself.
Michael: We both know Kevin didn't kill Clint. And whether you believe it or not, we have an eyewitness account to what he had to endure at the hands of that monster.
Heather: None of which proves that Kevin wasn't aware of what he was doing when he shot at the guards.
Michael: (Sighs) Stockholm syndrome says otherwise.
Heather: (Sighs) Not this again.
Michael: Can't you at least consider the possibility that he didn't know, that he was on autopilot, actually following the orders of a deranged lunatic he believed was his abusive father?
Heather: Mm-hmm. You've seen the security tapes, Michael.
Michael: (Sighs)
Heather: Kevin doesn't look like somebody who's being forced to do anything.
Michael: They don't tell the whole story--
Heather: Look, until you have solid evidence that Kevin was not a danger to himself or to anybody else, he needs to stay right where he is.
Cane: Hey.
Lily: Hey.
Cane: Hey, do you think Cordelia's gonna feel like my mom does? You know, as soon as I found out she wasn't my biological daughter, that I didn't want her or anything in my life, you know?
Lily: You won't let her think that.
Cane: Yeah, I know. It's just that Katherine’s gone out of her way to reach out to her, and Mom still won't go to that wedding.
Lily: Yeah.
Mac: So it's official? Jill's not coming?
Cane: (Sighs)
Mac: Oh, Lily, you look great.
Lily: (Laughs) Hi. So do you. I heard that you were back.
Mac: Mm-hmm.
Cane: I thought the last time I saw you, you weren't staying.
Mac: I changed my mind.
Lily: Wait, uh, you two know each other?
Cane: No, no, not really. We just, uh, we share the common bond of not knowing our true identity for half our life.
Lily: (Chuckles) Well, I am sure that your grandmother is so happy to have you back, especially for her wedding.
Mac: Yeah, she won't be, though, if I don't get the bouquet, which I'm gonna go do as soon as I find out if the waitress position is still open?
Cane: So why does Katherine Chancellor's granddaughter want to work in a dive bar like this?
Mac: Why does Phillip Chancellor's son, who ran Chancellor Industries, want to give up the corporate perks and buy a dive bar like this?
Lily: Ooh.
Cane: Ooh, huh?
Lily: Need a pen?
Mac: No, I'm good.
Lily: Okay.
(Laughs)
Cane: Huh.
Lily: Huh. I like her...
Cane: Yeah.
Lily: Even if she was married to Billy.
Cane: Yeah, she got unmarried fast, though, huh?
Lily: Well, 'cause they thought that they were cousins. But now everyone knows they're not.
Cane: Yeah, and lucky for her, Billy’s committed elsewhere.
Lily: Well, let's just hope he stays that way.
Billy: I never said that I didn't want you to come.
Chloe: No, you just keep on coming up with reasons why I shouldn’t.
Billy: You said yourself that you didn't want anybody else to catch that nasty cold.
Chloe: Because of the baby. Why don't you just admit it? You don't want me around so you can hit on your ex.
Billy: You know, it is the one time I'm not thinking about myself, and you're dogging me.
Chloe: Okay, fine. So tell me that you at least had the decency to R.S.V.P. for both of us.
Billy: No, I RSVP'd for myself.
Kay: Uh, Billy is coming alone?
Esther: Oh, no. Chloe just has a sinus infection. Oh, in fact, I'd better make sure that her place card is next to Billy’s for the reception.
Amber: Still no word from Jill?
Kay: No.
Amber: You cool with that?
Kay: (Clicks tongue) Oh, Sweetheart, I've done everything I can to extend myself where she's concerned. I can't force her to be part of the family. If she rejects it, it's her loss-- her loss, not mine.
Jill: What part of "Leave me in peace" don't you understand?
Nikki: That woman has been through hell, what with the car crash, the memory loss, finding out that you're not her daughter...
Jill: Ahh. Ahh. There. Right there. That's when it all turned around.
Nikki: What?
Jill: The moment that Katherine got word I wasn't her daughter, it just set her free.
Nikki: That is absolutely ridiculous.
Jill: When have you ever seen her so happy?
Nikki: Of course she is happy. She's about to get married.
Jill: Yeah, and she doesn't have to deal with me anymore.
Nikki: You just can't accept the fact that she loved you, can you? Well, she did, and she still does. You love her, too.
Jill: I am not doing this with you.
Nikki: We sat here in this very room and talked about how we would do anything to get her back. Well, we've got her back.
Jill: I never got her back. You got her back. The moment that I found out we weren't related, I lost my mother all over again, and no matter what any of you say, I will never get her back.
Paul: I could talk to her and see if could get her to-- to ease up a little.
Michael: Thanks. But what we need is proof that Kevin isn't the dangerous criminal your daughter seems to think he is.
Annie: We want you to know how sorry we are we didn't do more to help your brother.
Roger: The thing is, Clint had us all walking on eggshells. I was so scared once, I-I switched out his loaded gun for one filled with blanks. Lucky for us, he never found out.
Michael: Whoa, whoa. I'm sorry. Wait a minute. You're saying that Clint’s gun, the gun that my brother had on him during all the bank robberies, that gun was carrying blanks?
Annie: Mm-hmm.
Roger: Safe as a toy.
Michael: Yeah, see? How's that for proof?
Nikki: Jill, I know you're hurting.
Jill: You're not wearing it.
Nikki: Excuse me?
Jill: Katherine's ring. Did she make you give it back to her?
Nikki: I gave it to her to wear for the wedding.
Jill: Ahh, when she asked you to be her matron of honor?
Nikki: Jill, you have to stop this.
Jill: And she wants me there why? So I can see once and for all that I mean nothing to her?
Nikki: Can't you see that you're the one who's pushing her away? As much as it broke your heart to find out that she's not your mother, it is breaking hers to see you walk away because of it.
Jill: (Sighs)
Chloe: You know, when we got married, I knew that you weren't gonna be a homebody, but I didn't think that you were actually going to pretend like you were still single.
Billy: That's not what I'm doing.
Chloe: You know, and if the jumbo packs, if--if they're freaking you out, and if you need to go off and be a bachelor for a little while, a-a few hours maybe, I-I-I get that, okay? I get that. But you just do me a favor. If you decide to go down memory lane with your ex, could you maybe not do it in front of prying eyes and not humiliate me in front of everyone?
Paul: A gun with blanks isn't gonna clear Kevin of any charges, Michael.
Michael: I know that. I know that. But it might get the judge to grant bail, and it'll make it harder for the D.A. to prove intent to harm or that Kevin's a danger to anyone.
Paul: First, we have to find a gun.
Michael: The last I heard, the Minnesota authorities are still searching for it.
Paul: My guess is that Kevin ditched it somewhere between the boxcar and the last place that he took cover. The question is, where?
Michael: I think I have an idea of someone who might know.
Kay: Were it not for you and Kevin, none of this would be happening. You never, ever, ever gave up on me. We're not gonna give up on Kevin.
(Key turns in lock)
Kay: Oh-- oh, that's gotta be my groom-to-be. Um...
Amber: (Whimpers)
Murphy: Oh, where can I find my beautiful bride-to-be?
Amber: Oh, go. Go, go! Bad luck.
Murphy: Huh?
Amber: Bad luck. Bad luck. Bad luck seeing the bride before the wedding. Go, go, go, go, go, go! Esther, hurry up! Get Mrs. C. outta here. Go, before Murphy sees her. Hurry! Hurry!
Kay: You can't be serious. For heaven's sakes, I--
Amber: Are you kidding me? After the year you have had, I am not taking any chances. Go, go, go, go, go!
Kay: Oh, oh, girls.
Esther: No, it's a good idea, Amber.
Amber: Yes, yes.
Kay: Well, I have had more than one husband before who's seen me before.
Amber: (Breathlessly) Okay.
Kay: Oh, come on.
Amber: Sorry about that.
Murphy: I-I was worried she had cold feet.
Amber: Oh, no, not a chance. But you know what? It is bad luck to spend the night before the wedding together, so...
Murphy: Well, good thing I still have my trailer.
Amber: Yeah. Oh.
(Cell phone rings)
Amber: Oh, phone. I gotta get that. Um, I'll tell Mrs. C., uh, to call you. Hello? Hey, um, any word about Roger and Annie?
Michael: Well, thanks to your tip about Canada, they were brought in about an hour ago.
Amber: Awesome! (Normal voice) Um, hey, did, uh, they spill dirt on, uh, on what Clint did to Kevin?
Michael: A truckload. But we have more urgent issues at hand. I'm hoping you can come down to the police station and help out.
Amber: Oh, well, I'm on my way. (Sighs) Hey, they found Roger and Annie!
Kay: Really?
Amber: Yeah, I am on my way to the police station right now to see if I can help with Michael, but, um, you kn--I'll--I'll be back.
Kay: Amber! Oh, gee. (Sighs) Um, Esther, I'm sure it can't be easy learning, um, that the man that you planned to spend the rest of your life with is in police custody, but...
Esther: No. That's where he belongs. You know, when Roger came along, I jumped at the chance to be with him. I was so lonely. But then he played me, just like Jill said he would.
Kay: (Patting Esther's hand) All right, all right. That is all behind you now.
Esther: Unh-unh, not yet-- not until that lying Lothario pays for what he did.
Kay: E-e-Esther, where are you-- Esther, where are you going?
Esther: To make sure that justice is done.
Kay: Esther!
Michael: The judge and the D.A. are gonna want more than your word... (Sighs) That the gun Kevin had was loaded with blanks.
Paul: We're hoping that you might remember where Kevin hid it.
Amber: Oh. Well, Kevin didn't hide the gun. I did.
Cane: You're hired.
Mac: You didn't even read it.
Cane: I don't need to. Lily here said that you practically put Crimson Lights on the map.
Mac: Yeah, okay, but we didn't have a liquor license, so if you need someone with experience serving alcohol--
Cane: Listen, what I need is someone who is a straight shooter, who can, uh, straight-talk even the most charming drunk.
Mac: I can do that.
Cane: Good. Like I said, you're hired.
Mac: Thanks.
Cane: Okay.
Lily: So things have changed a lot here since you've been back in town. So do you want to get up to speed over coffee sometime?
Mac: I'd love to. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Cane and Lily: Okay.
Mac: Oh, and if Jill changes her mind at all about the wedding, can you let me know? I'd hate for her not to have a seat at the reception.
Cane: Look, unless my mom has a life-changing, uh, moment between now and tomorrow, I think that wedding's the last place she's gonna be, so...
Nikki: I don't know why I thought I could convince you of anything.
Jill: That makes two of us.
Nikki: I guess I had hoped-- a part of me had hoped that maybe you could forget about those damn D.N.A. results and be there for her, like she has tried to be there for you. Obviously, I was wrong.
(Telephone rings)
Mac: Hello? Hello?
Billy: I'm here.
Mac: Billy?
Billy: Chloe's feeling better, and she will be at the wedding.
Mac: Good to hear. I'll see you both tomorrow.
Chloe: (Sighs)
(Doorbell rings)
Mac: I knew you wouldn't let her down.
Roger: Well, they told me I had a visitor. I didn't dare hope, yet here you are.
Esther: Oh, you're happy to see me.
Roger: Of course.
Esther: Even after you lied to me, kidnapped me, then ran off with that fuchsia-haired nut-job nurse who turned out to be your ex-wife? Hmm.
Roger: Now, Esther, if you hadn't have followed me that day--
Esther: Oh, oh, oh, wait. Wait, wait. Oh, so--so this is my fault? (Scoffs) I loved you! You made me believe that you loved me, too, but no, no, no. You were just using me! I trusted you with my heart, my future. You played peek-a-boo with my granddaughter, for God sake! I hope that you and that evil cleaver-happy wife rot in hell!
(Picks up purse)
Kay: Mm. Ahh! It's going to be perfect, perfect!
(Sighs)
Brock: It certainly will be. Oh, Duchess.
(Laughs)
Kay: Oh, I thought you couldn't get away! Oh, Brock.
Brock: If I'm lucky enough to get my mother back, the least I-I can do...
Kay: Oh!
Brock: Is go to her wedding, for heaven's sake.
Kay: Oh, yes!
Brock: (Laughs)
Kay: It was you?!
Brock: (Laughs)
Mac: I made a few phone calls.
Brock: Oh, yeah.
Kay: (Laughs)
Murphy: Hey, uh, is the coast clear? I don't want Amber calling the cops on me.
Kay: (Speaks indistinctly)
(Laughs)
Murphy: Mm.
Kay: Hi, Sweetheart.
Murphy: (Makes kissing sound)
Kay: (Sighs)
Murphy: Listen, I know it's bad luck, uh, to see the dress.
Kay: (Clicks tongue)
Murphy: But I couldn't spend on more whole day without seeing my beautiful bride-to-be.
Brock: Look at those two.
Kay: Oh, Murph, Murph, Murph, how lucky can I be? Now I'm not only marrying the most decent, loving, caring human being I've ever known-- um, next to my son-- (sighs) But I'm going to be married with my beloved family by my side. Oh, tomorrow's going to be special with, um... (Sighs) It's gonna be special because it's gonna be the best day of my life, for as long as I live.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Sharon: I thought you were staying at Victoria’s.
Nick: I moved back.
Mary Jane: I'm getting closer to Jack.
Victor: Do not let him become suspicious.
Nina: Couldn't you come back some other time?
Jill: And miss having my say at Katherine’s wedding?
