Ashley: Mmm.
Olivia: Now just because it's your birthday, I want you to take things easy, okay?
Ashley: Oh, is that an order, Doc? That looks good.
Olivia: You know what? I've got one of those little prescription pads. You know, I can write you up something.
Ashley: (Laughs) That's very funny, but it won't be necessary. Victor and I are having a very romantic, very stress-free dinner for two.
Olivia: Perfect.
Ashley: I meant what I told you yesterday-- nothing is more important to me than this pregnancy, okay?
Lauren: Thank you.
Kay: Uh, Chai tea, please.
Lauren: Well!
Kay: Oh, car-careful with that coffee now. Don't spill it on me.
Lauren: (Chuckles)
Kay: I'll have to sue.
Lauren: Never. How are you?
Kay: (Chuckles) How are you, my darling? I'm fine.
Lauren: I am so much better today.
Kay: Good.
Lauren: Did you hear the good news about Kevin?
Kay: Yes, I was there when he had his breakthrough.
Lauren: Mm, you see? If now my fabulous husband can just prove that Kevin had post-traumatic stress disorder and Stockholm syndrome when he committed those crimes--
Kay: Lauren, if there's anything more that you need, ask. I owe that young man, I really do. As for his mother, keep her out of my face. Keep her out of my face. I can't stand her.
Lauren: You know what? Michael told me that Gloria gas lighted you to try and get Jabot stock.
Kay: Well, she has no scruples, none.
Lauren: And so what are you gonna do?
Kay: I know Gloria is your mother-in-law, but, my dear, I do believe that everyone simply has to be responsible for their own behavior.
Lauren: You know what? So do I. In fact, I'm on my way to the police station right now to sign for the merchandise that Sharon stole from Fenmore's.
Kay: Was there a lot of it?
Lauren: $10,000 worth.
Kay: Oh, my God. That's a felony, isn't it?
Lauren: Mm-hmm, which means very soon...
Kay: (Sighs)
Lauren: Sharon is gonna be behind bars.
Sharon: Being accused of shoplifting has been completely humiliating.
Heather: Luckily, you have your friends and your family to lean on.
Sharon: Yeah, well, if they had their way, I would just, uh, end up with a slap on the wrist.
Heather: How do you feel?
Sharon: I think that I need to face up to what I've done.
Heather: That is a wise decision. Judges, juries look favorably on people who take responsibility for their actions.
Nick: Sorry to interrupt. I need to speak with you.
Heather: We're in the middle of something, Nick.
Nick: Excuse us.
Sharon: Oh--I'm sorry, I--
Nick: Now.
Jack: Where's Nicholas?
Phyllis: He's coming.
Jack: Why'd you call me?
Phyllis: Um, I wanted to see a friendly face.
Jack: Okay. What is going on? Why are you here?
Phyllis: Oh... (Voice cracks) I have really made a mess of things.
Jack: Okay, take a deep breath. Take a deep breath, and tell "Smiling Jack" how this happened.
Phyllis: (Normal voice) Oh, Jack. You know, Nick and I were just working things out. We just started to work things out, and then Sharon had me arrested.
Jack: Is this about the ruckus in her hotel suite?
Phyllis: Yeah. You knew?
Jack: Well, that particular meltdown had your name all over it.
Phyllis: I just lost my mind. You know, I just lost my mind. I'm just so-- I'm so desperate to hold onto my marriage.
Jack: And you thought the best way to do that was to frame Sharon?
Phyllis: I, you know, I didn't frame Sharon. Sharon's guilty. Sharon is guilty. I'm not framing her. I'm just bringing it out in the open so everyone can see.
(Sighs)
Jack: Okay, so she nailed you, you nailed her, and now both of you could be doing jail time.
Phyllis: That's right. That's right. And if we end up in the same cell, she better watch her back.
Neil: I'd gone as far as I could with Newman, you know?
Olivia: So you quit?
Neil: I'm thinking, Liv, that maybe it's time for a fresh start.
Olivia: You don't sound convinced.
Neil: I don't, do I? That's because I didn't exactly think this whole thing through.
Olivia: Like your marriage to Karen.
Neil: And look how that turned out. I wonder if it was a stupid thing to bail out on Victor like that.
Olivia: You know what? Only time's gonna tell.
Neil: I just hope I don't end up regretting this decision.
Victoria: Neil is a smart guy. He'll land on his feet, I'm sure.
Victor: I gather he had some family problems.
Victoria: Uh... (Sighs) Speaking of family problems, did you hear that Phyllis was arrested?
Victor: No. Why?
Victoria: Apparently, she's the one who broke into Sharon's hotel suite and cut up all of her clothes.
(Sighs)
Victor: Are you serous?
Victoria: (Clears throat)
Victor: When will your brother's ex-wife and current wife finally decide to get along?
Victoria: (Chuckles) I don't know. You might as well wish for world peace.
Victor: If it ain't one thing, it's the other. Um, kindly make sure that Noah’s all right. This must all be very upsetting to him.
Victoria: He's still staying with you and Ashley, right?
Victor: Yeah, until this all calms down.
Victoria: Is he out at the ranch right now?
Victor: No, I think he's sleeping over at a friend's house. Why don't you call his cell, okay?
Victoria: I will, Dad. You just go and enjoy your dinner with Ashley, all right?
Victor: Yeah. That's exactly what I intend to do.
Nikki: So how have you been, Estella?
Estella: Oh, okay, I guess.
Nikki: Are things any better between you and Ashley?
Estella: (Scoffs) If anything, they've gotten worse.
Nikki: (Sighs)
Estella: (Groans)
Nikki: Well, don't let it get you down.
Estella: Mm. I'll try not to.
Nikki: Will you tell Victor that I stopped by?
Estella: Yes, of course, Mrs. Newman.
Nikki: Thank you.
Nikki: Oh, Adam, I-I-I didn't see you. I didn't know you were here.
Adam: Nikki, it's good to see you, too, so to speak.
Nikki: I have to tell you, I really applaud you for handling a very difficult situation.
Adam: Oh, yeah?
Nikki: Yes. I believe that in time, you'll be able to lead a very--
Adam: A very fulfilling and meaningful, life. Yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah. I know--oh!
Nikki: (Gasps) Oh, my God!
Estella: (Gasps) Adam!
Nikki: Adam, are you all right?
Adam: Ow.
Sharon: What was that?
Nick: Are you crazy? Not only do you want to confess, but you want to do it without your attorney here? It's like you're on self-destruct autopilot.
Sharon: Um, I think I told you this before, Nick, but what I do is none of your concern.
Nick: It is now. Phyllis was arrested, and I know you're behind it.
Sharon: So?
Nick: So? You need to drop the charges.
Sharon: Oh, why should I? She's guilty, Nick, just like me. Don't we both have to pay for our crimes?
Nick: I'm so sick and tired of you two going at each other like this. Don't you see what it's doing to our family?
Sharon: That is exactly why I am going to come clean, because hopefully, I will regain Noah’s respect by facing up to what I did.
Nick: Oh, okay. So you want to take away his mother and stepmother on the same day. That's just great. And this being the anniversary of Cassie's accident, why don't we just lump all the family tragedies together on one day? It's not too late to fix this. You just have to drop the charges against Phyllis and tear up this confession, and it all goes away.
Sharon: I can’t.
Nick: (Sighs) Okay, then just give me some time, then, okay?
Sharon: For what?
Nick: Don't worry about that. Just don't say anything to Heather until I get back.
Sharon: But--
Nick: Will you please do this for me? Please?
Sharon: Okay.
Nick: Thank you.
Phyllis: It's not like that klepto hasn't caused me enough pain. Now she has me arrested. Lovely.
(Sighs)
Jack: Isn't that exactly what you did to her?
Phyllis: Yeah.
Jack: Listen to me. This obsession with Sharon is what got you arrested.
Phyllis: Oh, please. I don't need a lecture, Jack.
Jack: Do you remember when Sharon and I were having problems? What did you tell me? You advised me to do whatever I could to save my marriage.
Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, and you didn't do that. You didn't listen to me.
Jack: The point is, you need to follow your own advice.
Phyllis: I think it's too late.
Jack: I don't believe that for a minute. You are a loyal, loving woman. You are a wonderful mother. And add to that, you're a real babe. Hey, come on, seriously. I know Nick loves you. But you're gonna lose him if you keep harassing Sharon.
Phyllis: I'm not harassing Sharon. So I ruined a couple of her things. You know, big deal?
Jack: Yeah, and before that, you conspired to have Brad seduce her so that she'd stay away from Nick.
Phyllis: I wouldn't be pushed-- (Whispers) I wouldn't be pushed to going there if she weren't manipulating my husband all the time.
Jack: Do you honestly think you're making any brownie points with Nick here?
Phyllis: (Normal voice) No. No.
Jack: Listen to me. This isn't the end of anything. This is a wake-up call. You keep pulling the same stunts, you're going to lose your marriage.
Phyllis: Okay.
Jack: Believe me, I have learned this the hard way.
Phyllis: All right. All right. You're right. You're right.
Jack: Look, Sharon is having some real problems right now. Maybe a little understanding from you could look pretty good.
Olivia: When you quit your job with Newman, were you going with your instincts?
Neil: (Inhales deeply) I went with my gut.
Olivia: You have to trust that, Neil. I mean, look what happened when you didn't go with your inner voice before.
Neil: Yep, I rushed to the altar.
Olivia: I mean, you were attracted to Tyra, and that should have been a sign to you that you weren't completely committed to Karen.
Neil: See, and damn it, you--you tried to tell me that.
Olivia: You know what? You were just trying to do the right thing. I mean, Karen-- she's a wonderful person, and she helped you through Dru's death.
Neil: Yeah, she did, and I'll be very grateful to her for all time.
Olivia: But you weren't in love with her.
Neil: Not like with Dru.
Olivia: It's gonna take a really amazing woman to fill my sister's shoes.
Neil: You know, what's weird is that I-I still miss her.
Olivia: Well, maybe Tyra will be the one to help mend your heart, and maybe not. But I can tell you one thing.
Neil: Yeah? What's that?
Olivia: You are capable of so much love. And whoever you end up with, that's gonna be one very lucky lady.
Neil: Yeah, and you see, that's exactly what I keep saying.
Olivia: (Laughs) Now your professional life, on the other hand... you're gonna be fine. You're gonna figure it out.
Neil: Which is why I need to get started right now, hmm?
Estella: I'm so sorry, Adam. I just pushed the table. I-I meant to put it back.
Adam: Forget it, Estella. It was an accident.
Estella: (Sighs)
Nikki: Okay, there you go.
Adam: Thank you, Nikki. I appreciate your help. Um, but I'm sure you have some things to do.
Nikki: Sure. Um, it was good to see you, Estella.
Estella: You, too, Mrs. Newman.
Nikki: Bye, Adam.
Estella: (Sighs) Again, I'm so sorry.
Adam: Estella, please, stop. It was not your fault, okay? It was mine. Every day just gets darker and darker. That's why I tripped over the table.
Estella: It's gonna get better.
Adam: No, you know, honestly, I think it's only gonna get worse. And to tell you the truth, it terrifies me.
Jack: I gotta go. Nick's on his way, right?
Phyllis: Yeah, yeah. He should already be here.
Jack: You hang in there.
Phyllis: (Sighs) Yeah, sure. I will.
Phyllis: Jack? Thank you. You're a very good friend to me.
Lauren: Phyllis, what are you doing here?
Phyllis: Hey, you know.
Lauren: Are you in custody?
Phyllis: Yeah. It's just natural that I would see one of my best friends.
Lauren: Hi. Can I go talk to that lady, please?
Man: You got five minutes.
Lauren: Thank you. Thanks. What happened? What did you do?
Phyllis: Um, you know, vandalism, breaking and entering, that kind of thing.
Lauren: I don't understand.
Phyllis: Um, I'm the one who trashed Sharon's hotel suite.
Lauren: (Whispers) What?
Phyllis: Mm-hmm.
Lauren: You mean while she was being arrested for shoplifting?
Phyllis: (Whispers) Yeah. Yeah. I'm the one who found all those stolen goods. I called security. The rest is history, you know.
Lauren: So this is payback.
Phyllis: (Normal voice) Yeah, I suppose this is payback. (Whispers) Oh, you should have seen Nick's face when they arrested me, Lauren.
Lauren: (Clicks tongue) I'm sorry.
Phyllis: (Normal voice) so, um, anyway, he-- he's supposed to be here any time, but it's been a while.
Lauren: Oh.
Phyllis: I'm wondering.
Lauren: (Normal voice) No, he would never leave you stranded, no.
Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah, right. So what are you doing here?
Lauren: Well, I came to sign for the goods that Sharon stole.
Phyllis: Oh, you're still taking her to court.
Lauren: Although Eden just begged me not to, so...
Phyllis: Why would she do that...?
Lauren: (Sighs)
Phyllis: After Sharon threw her under the bus regarding those books?
Lauren: Evidently, the kids are really giving Noah a hard time at school, and she can barely watch it, so the bottom line is, she cares more about him than what his mother did to her.
Phyllis: I think you should listen to Eden.
Lauren: What? You were so adamant about--
Phyllis: I-I-I-I know. I know. I know. If it were up to me, believe me, I would love to see Sharon rot in jail. But just listen to me. Eden's right. I really don't want to see those kids suffer anymore. I really don’t.
Lauren: Well, I don't want to see them suffer, either, but come on.
Phyllis: I know, but listen. Listen, listen, listen to me. You said yourself that the only reason you're doing this is because of Eden, that it was important for you and Michael to show her that you wouldn't just stand by when someone was hurting her, right?
Lauren: And it's, uh, really hard for her to watch Noah go through this.
Phyllis: Exactly. Exactly.
Lauren: And it hurts her.
Phyllis: You have to drop the charges. You have to do this, Lauren. Just end it. Let's end this. Let's end this. Those kids can't suffer anymore.
Nick: You okay?
Phyllis: Yeah, I'm fine now that you're here.
Lauren: Well, it looks like you're gonna get what you want.
Nick: What do you mean?
Lauren: I'm dropping the charges against Sharon.
Nick: Well, thank you, Lauren.
Lauren: I didn't do it for you. I did it because your wife asked me to.
Nikki: Well, it's certainly been an eventful couple of days.
Kay: Oh, well, Kevin recognizing his family and his friends finally--I'm-- it was an incredible moment.
Victoria: Well, Phyllis being arrested and Neil resigning from Newman weren't so incredible.
Nikki: You can add Adam's accident to that list.
Kay: What? What accident?
Nikki: Oh, I stopped by the ranch to speak to Victor, and Adam ran smack into a table and fell down.
Victoria: Was he hurt?
Nikki: Nothing serious, really. I-I think his pride was wounded, though.
Kay: Oh, come on. Losing one's eyesight can be very devastating. It must be.
Nikki: Of course. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but... (Sighs) It's just difficult for me to feel sorry for the guy.
Victoria: I know. I was just at his birthday party. There's something about him.
Nikki: I know what it is. He can't be trusted.
Victoria: That's it. Even blind, I always feel like he's looking for a way to take advantage.
Victor: So, birthday girl, why don't you go upstairs and get ready?
Ashley: Why? Because it takes me so much longer than you to get beautiful?
Victor: You're always beautiful.
Ashley: Mm. That was a good answer. See you in a minute.
Victor: What happened?
Estella: Uh, Adam tripped over the table there.
Victor: Oh, are you all right, son?
Adam: Yeah, I'm fine.
Victor: Does that mean your eyesight is getting worse?
Adam: I was clumsy long before I started going blind. Oh, uh, by the way, I want to thank you again for the Braille computer. It's really special, though, you know, honestly, I think it's gonna take some time to get the hang of it.
Victor: Well, son, that computer's just the beginning, all right? I just want you to know that I'm in touch with doctors who are experts in your disease. As soon as they find anything that's promising...
Adam: (Sighs)
Victor: I will get a hold of it, all right? We'll beat this thing.
Adam: Okay.
Ashley: (Gasps)
Ashley: Victor, you are so sweet.
Nick: I'm sorry it took so long.
Phyllis: Sure. Where were you?
Nick: I was talking to Sharon...
Phyllis: Mm-hmm.
Nick: Trying to get her to drop the charges against you.
Phyllis: Oh, really? I'm sure she refused.
Nick: Yeah.
Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah. Yep. (Sniffles) Well, I can't blame her.
Nick: Well, what really surprises me is that you would ask Lauren to keep Sharon out of jail. Wh-why'd you do that?
Phyllis: I did that for your son. I don't want to see him hurting anymore. I'm ashamed. Look at me. What I'm about to say does not absolve you of, uh, sleeping with your ex-wife. But I realize that all of this scheming has made things worse.
(Sighs)
Nick: You've said things like this before.
Phyllis: Yeah, I know. And if I were you, I'd be skeptical, too. And I'm not saying this so Sharon lets me off. I mean, I don't even think she's gonna do that. I'm just-- it's not about that.
Nick: What's it about?
Phyllis: I want to be happy. I don't want to go behind your back. I don't want to lie to you.
Nick: Do you mean that?
Phyllis: Yeah. I don't want to do that. I don't want this, any of this. Nick, I don't want to lie to each other anymore, you know? And I-I expect the same courtesy from you, from now on, please. Please. Can you do that?
Nick: Yes.
Tyra: Hey.
Neil: Hey.
Tyra: Look, I'm glad you called me.
Neil: You look pretty.
Tyra: Thank you.
Neil: How are you?
Tyra: I'm good.
Neil: How's Ana?
Tyra: Oh, she's wonderful. You know, happy.
Neil: Yeah, good. So you're-- you're probably wondering, um, where-- where things go from here.
Tyra: Well, no. I really haven't seen much of you lately.
Neil: Yeah, I know. I'm sorry about that.
Tyra: It's okay. I know you made a huge sacrifice for Ana and me and... (Sighs) You've ruined your marriage.
Neil: I will never forgive myself for hurting Karen like that. It's gonna take me a long time to get past that, you know.
Tyra: Yeah. Yeah, I know. But you know that I have strong feelings for you, right?
Neil: I have strong feelings for you, too. I do. But, uh, we-- or I'll--I'll speak for me-- I-I need to kind of take things slow, you know?
Tyra: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Look, I can be patient, okay?
Neil: Mm-hmm.
Tyra: I'm gonna go, but, um, thank you very much for letting me know where we stand. See you later.
Neil: See you.
Jack: The pictures of Delia and me are amazing, if I do say so myself.
Mary Jane: And we've got coverage in all the important markets.
Jack: You did me proud, Mary Jane.
Mary Jane: Well, it's just the beginning. By the time I'm through with you, you'll be well on your way to sainthood.
Jack: (Chuckles) So what do you say we celebrate?
Mary Jane: Mm, I don't know. I think, uh...
Jack: Oh, come on. You're not gonna let me drink alone?
Mary Jane: Oh, I suppose I could pity you and have a glass of champagne.
Jack: That's a yes?
Mary Jane: (Laughs)
Jack: I just got a yes out of you? Let's get out of here before you change your mind. Come on.
Victor: Well, well, well, well, well.
Victor: What are you doing in that dress?
Victor: Please take that off.
Ashley: What?
Victor: I want you to go upstairs and take off that dress.
Ashley: But you left it out for me as a gift.
Victor: What are you doing with those two earrings? Is this some kind of a sick joke, or what?
Ashley: Uh, w-what are you talking about?
Victor: Please, go upstairs and change.
Ashley: But I don't understand what you're talking about.
Victor: Please, do as I'm asking you.
Victor: Estella?
Estella: Dios mío!
Victor: Did you lay out this dress for Ms. Abbott?
Estella: No, of course not, Mr. Newman. That's the dress Miss Sabrina wore at the--
Victor: At the gala. Yes, I know that.
Estella: I don't understand. How could she--
Victor: Uh, did we pack some of the things that I kept from Sabrina?
Estella: Yes. I had them put in storage months ago.
Victor: Is it possible that this dress came from the cleaners and we didn't know about it and Ashley found it?
Estella: I specifically remember packing it along with the other things.
Victor: And what about the earrings? I know I gave one of them away. How could she have two earrings?
Estella: I don't know, Sir.
Victor: Who was in the house today?
Estella: Uh, the former Mrs. Newman came by, but... (Sighs)
Victor: Thank you.
Mary Jane: Tomorrow, the name "Jack Abbott" will be on everybody's lips.
Jack: The pictures of me holding Delia were nothing short of brilliant.
Mary Jane: Mm-hmm, highlights your softer side. We should celebrate properly.
Jack: What'd you have in mind?
Mary Jane: I have a good bottle of champagne upstairs in my room.
Jack: This is good champagne.
Mary Jane: It tastes better upstairs.
Jack: Well, all righty then.
Kay: (Whispering indistinctly)
Nikki: (Whispers) Okay.
Victoria: (Whispers) Okay. Bye-bye.
Neil: Ahh, there you are, Katherine. I'm so glad that I found you.
Kay: (Normal voice) Oh, yeah? Well, you've been looking for me?
Neil: Yes, your office told me I might find you here. Uh, can we sit down for a minute?
Kay: Yes, of course.
Neil: Great. Come on.
Kay: I was just, um, talking to Nikki and, uh, Victoria.
Neil: Ladies. Here we are.
Kay: (Sighs) Mm, thank you.
Neil: Sit down.
Kay: (Sighs) I understand you resigned from Newman, uh, today.
Neil: Yes. That's why I wanted to talk to you.
Kay: Oh?
Neil: I understand that you've regained control of Chancellor Industries, that Jill and Cane have left, which leaves you with, dare I say, a rather large leadership gap.
Kay: That's true. True.
Neil: Katherine, I have the experience. I have the credentials. I can step in and fill that gap.
Kay: Mm-hmm. Go on.
Neil: I've been trained by the best.
Kay: Victor?
Neil: I sat at his right hand for many years. I've run that company many times. I've guided it through numerous crises.
Kay: Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil, I know your work. I know it well. It is exemplary.
Neil: I'm glad to hear you say that. Katherine, I would like you to hire me as your new C.E.O.
Nick: Good. You still have it.
Sharon: Uh, well, not for long. Heather's on her way down from her room right now. I got tired of waiting.
Nick: You don't have to confess, all right? I talked to Lauren. She's gonna drop the charges.
Sharon: What? Why would she do that?
Nick: Believe it or not, Phyllis persuaded her.
Sharon: That's a trick. She figures that if she can make my case go away, I'll do the same for her.
Nick: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. There's no strings attached, okay? And without Lauren, the most they can get you for is a misdemeanor.
Sharon: Really? Are you sure?
Nick: Yes. You may have to do some community service, maybe go on probation, but you will not have to do any jail time.
Sharon: I don't know, Nick.
Nick: And now maybe Noah will stop getting hassled by his friends, and then, Sharon, you could finally get some professional help for what you're going through.
Sharon: Well, hey, I told you, it's too late, okay? Heather's on her way down from her room right now.
Nick: No, it's-- it's not too late. It's not too late, as long as you don't give that--
Heather: Is that for me, Sharon? That is for me, right?
Sharon: Uh, y-yes.
Heather: Good. I'm anxious to read it.
Nick: Don't give it to her.
Heather: If she wants to get something off her chest--
Nick: You know, actually, I think she changed her mind.
Sharon: Nick.
Heather: How would you like being charged with obstruction of justice?
Nick: For what? Burning a letter she wrote to her Aunt Tillie?
Heather: Okay, you know what? Sharon?
Sharon: Hmm?
Heather: Is this what you want?
Sharon: Uh, yes.
Heather: Yes. You people are gonna get what's coming to you someday.
Nick: This is a good thing.
Sharon: Really? How's that?
Nick: Because the family has gone through enough, Sharon.
Sharon: So what now?
Nick: Now you show Phyllis the same mercy she showed you.
Sharon: (Chuckles) Of course. Of course I will, if you will just do me one favor, Nick.
Nick: Name it.
Sharon: From now on, I want you to leave me alone.
Ashley: Where's Victor?
Estella: (Sighs) He left.
Ashley: (Sighs) I have no idea what I did, but obviously, I offended him. Why did he get so angry with me?
Adam: Uh, Estella explained to me what happened. Apparently, that dress you were wearing was the same dress that Sabrina wore the night of her accident.
Ashley: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, I had no idea.
Estella: Mr. Newman has a picture of it, and the earrings were the same. Uh, uh, which is impossible because he gave one of them away to a little girl in Mexico.
Adam: That's bizarre.
Ashley: Where is that photograph? Can I see it?
(Drawer opens)
Estella: (Sighs) It's not here.
Adam: Who would do something so terrible?
Ashley: Who, indeed?
Estella: Are you blaming me?
Ashley: We both know you don't like me. You do everything you can to undermine me in this house.
Adam: Let's settle down now. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for all of this.
Estella: Uh, she blamed me for stealing the Koon’s egg from Mr. Newman. You were wrong then, and you're wrong now!
Ashley: We'll see about that.
Adam: Estella.
Ashley: Won't we?
(Sniffles)
Jack: I have to admit, at first, I was a bit leery of your tactics.
Mary Jane: I told you I'd make a believer out of you.
Jack: And you did.
Mary Jane: Mm-hmm.
Jack: You're bright. You're passionate, and I think you're gonna make a world of difference at Jabot.
Mary Jane: Anyone ever tell you you talk too much? (Laughs) Mm.
Jack: Listen, if any part of you is having regrets, I promise you, I'm very discreet.
Mary Jane: Why, uh, would I be having any regrets?
Jack: Because you're married.
Mary Jane: (Laughs)
Jack: What? What's so funny?
Mary Jane: (Laughs)
Jack: What?
Mary Jane: I'm--I'm not. Mm. (Laughs)
Jack: You're not what?
Mary Jane: I'm not married.
Jack: You're not?
Mary Jane: Mnh-mnh. I just say that, uh, when I'm on the road, so guys like you won't hit on me.
Jack: Oh.
Mary Jane: Oh. And you know what that means, don't you?
Jack: No, what?
Mary Jane: (Sighs) It means we haven't done anything wrong, and we won't be doing anything wrong a few more times.
Phyllis: Okay, let's get out of here.
Nick: No, first, I have some great news.
Phyllis: What is it?
Nick: I just saw Sharon, and I told her how you--
Phyllis: You just saw her?
Nick: Yes, I told her how you talked Lauren into dropping the charges against her, so now she's gonna return the favor.
Phyllis: Wow. Thank you. Thank you for doing that.
Nick: Yeah, you and Sharon should thank each other.
Phyllis: Yeah, we should definitely do that. (Clears throat) If, uh, this is the new era of honesty, I should tell you that, um, Lauren dropping the charges wasn't all because of me. Eden asked her to.
Nick: That doesn't matter. What matters is now you and I and Summer and Noah can lead a normal life again.
Phyllis: Okay. Let's go.
Lauren: I hope you know how lucky you are.
Sharon: Um, I do.
Lauren: You have blamed Eden for everything that has gone wrong in Noah’s life-- the mess in Paris, the accident at the lake, the bookstore. And yet Eden begged me to let it go, just so your son wouldn't get teased at school.
Sharon: I, um, I will never forgive myself for letting Eden take the blame for those books.
Lauren: If it weren't for Eden, you'd be in prison right now.
Sharon: Well, I will never be able to thank Eden enough for that.
Lauren: If you ever hurt her again, I will refile those charges so fast, your head'll spin.
Kay: Well, I am curious, after all these years at Newman...
Neil: Yes?
Kay: Why would you leave now?
Neil: Well, Katherine, I wasn't fired, if that's what you're wondering.
Kay: No, but I was under the impression you enjoyed working for Newman.
Neil: There's only so far that you can go in that company if your last name isn't Newman.
Kay: Well, Neil, you've run his company for him many, many times.
Neil: But that was only temporary.
Kay: Hmm. So you feel you could, what, spread your wings if you worked at Chancellor?
Neil: That's what I'm thinking, yes.
Kay: Mm-hmm. All right.
Neil: All right?
Kay: I'd be honored to have you work for me.
Victor: How could you do something so utterly despicable?
Nikki: What?
Victoria: Dad, what's wrong?
Victor: Your mother knows what's wrong. I want an explanation.
Nikki: What are you ranting about?
Victor: How dare you go to my house and maliciously arrange for Ashley to wear the damn dress that Sabrina wore the night of the gala?
Nikki: What? The--the dress that Sabrina wore the night of the car crash? Wh-wh-why are you saying that?
Victor: What were you doing at the ranch?
Nikki: I was at the ranch out of concern for our son because of Phyllis' arrest. Now as far as this other thing you're talking about, I have no idea. What possible motivation would I have?
Victor: Well, only you would know that, wouldn't you?
Nikki: (Scoffs) You know, I can think of one person who had motive and the opportunity.
Victor: And who would that be?
Nikki: Ashley.
Victor: Are you kidding me?
Nikki: You replaced Sabrina with her. Sabrina's spirit still lives in that house and in your heart. How do you expect Ashley to contend with that?
Victor: Now you know damn well that Ashley would never do anything so utterly vile.
Nikki: She has had mental problems before. Maybe she's digressed. Maybe she wants to be Sabrina.
Ashley: That's my credit card. I didn't buy this dress.
Ashley: Did I?
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Jill: The moment that Katherine got word I wasn't her daughter just set her free.
Amber: Chloe's sick. Does that mean she's not coming to the wedding?
Chloe: You don't want me around so you can hit on your ex.
Billy: I'm not thinking about myself, and you're dogging me.
