(Baby crying)
Ashley: Hello? Is someone there?
Ashley: Anyone? Hello!
(Baby continues crying)
Ashley: Where are you?
Victor: There's the door, Ms. Stevens. Use it, and don't you ever come back here. Do we understand each other?
Heather: This is Adam's home, and he can't leave the grounds without court approval.
Victor: I--
Heather: So if he wants me here, I will be here.
Victor: I am warning you.
Ashley: Victor, I need you! Please come out here. Hurry!
(Door closes)
Mary Jane: We could do the shoot in here, though I'd like at least one pose of you in front of the portrait of John in the study.
Jack: Oh, sure. We could do-- wait a minute. How do you know about that?
Mary Jane: Excuse me?
Jack: You have never been shown this house. How do you know there's a portrait of my dad in the study?
Mary Jane: (Sighs)
Daniel: Unbelievable. When did it happen?
Jana: Earlier tonight when those monsters in that so-called bloody hospital forced my husband into a straitjacket.
Amber: The absolute worst thing they could have done to him.
Michael: Yeah, they pushed him over the edge...
Jana: (Sighs)
Michael: Way over.
Jana: Now Kevin's gone, and he might never come back to us.
(Sighs)
Amber: Why don't you sit down?
Jana: (Sighs)
Amber: It's okay.
(Whispering indistinctly)
Michael: Yeah, hi, Gloria, it's me. Um... (Clears throat) I need to talk to you. It's about Kevin. Something's happened.
Kevin: (Grunting) Come on, come on. (Grunting) Oh, finally. I couldn't stand that thing. (Breathing heavily) I think we've lost them. I can't run anymore. I can't run anymore. (Breathing heavily) I can't believe I just jumped out of an ambulance!
Chipmunk voice: Believe it, Dude. You're free.
Kevin: Oh, yeah, yeah, great, out in the woods in the middle of nowhere. (Breathing heavily) My family is gonna freak.
Chipmunk voice: Forget about them. The second you call, the guys with the butterfly nets will be after you. They'll throw you back in that cell, or worse.
Kevin: (Breathing heavily) So--so now what?
Chipmunk voice: This is it, just you and me, kid. Better be nice, 'cause I'm all you've got.
Mary Jane: Am I supposed to give away all my secrets?
Jack: You've only been in this house a couple of times. I've never even given you the nickel tour.
Mary Jane: Fine. That piece, uh, on the estate, uh, several years back in "Classical Architecture" magazine-- it was on the web. I came across it doing some research.
Jack: And they asked me to stand with Ashley and my dad in front of his portrait.
Mary Jane: (Sighs) Mystery solved. So tomorrow, can I do the shoot in there?
Jack: Uh, no, actually. We're sanding the floors. I moved everything out of there, including the art.
Mary Jane: Oh, all right.
Jack: So what else do you have in store for me?
Mary Jane: Well, how much time do you have?
Jack: I'm in for the night.
Mary Jane: Let's get to work.
Heather: It's chilly out there, huh?
Adam: Hey, I thought you left.
Heather: Uh, yeah, I-I was on my way out when I heard Ashley yelling for help.
Adam: Uh, that's, uh, that's why I opened the window, to hear what was going on. I'd help if I could.
Heather: Yeah, I figured you might be concerned, so I-I came up here.
Adam: Where's Victor?
Heather: He ran out after her to find her.
Adam: I hope everything's okay.
Victor: Ashley.
Ashley: Did you hear that?
Victor: Did I hear what?
Ashley: The baby. The baby was crying.
Victor: What are you talking about?
Ashley: You didn't hear it?
Victor: No, I didn't hear a thing.
Ashley: There was-- there was a child crying, Victor. That's why I called for you to come out here.
Victor: Are you talking about baby Reed?
Ashley: No, no, it was a-- it was a-a newborn. I mean, it was somewhere out here in the woods, and then the poor little thing-- it was wailing its head off, and then it just stopped, and I'm really worried. I mean, maybe somebody abandoned it out here. Maybe it's hurt. We have to find it.
Victor: Well, Sweetheart, how--how can there be a baby? This is private property.
Ashley: I don't-- I don't know, Victor. I heard a baby. There's a child out here, and I'm worried, and we have to find it. Please help me.
Victor: Sweetheart, I didn't hear a thing. Let's go inside. Come on.
Ashley: No, I don't want to go inside, Victor.
Victor: We'll just call the guards. You describe to them what you heard, all right? Let's go inside. Come on.
Kevin: I ache all over. This sucks so bad. How did I even end up here?
Chipmunk voice: Aw, quit your bellyaching. You wanted out. You're out. This is gonna be great. We can go where we like, do whatever we please, the two of us together, buddies...
Kevin: Get off me.
Chipmunk voice: Equals. In fact, let's shake on it. Put her there, partner. Ow.
Kevin: I have lost everything. I have nothing. I should have killed myself when I had the chance. I have lost everything. I don't even know how.
Chipmunk voice: If you're gonna whine like that, get off my log. You're ruining' my Feng Shui.
Kevin: Look, its cold. I'm tired. How am I supposed to survive out here? And what's gonna happen to me, I'm gonna die all by myself?
(Grunts)
Amber: Mrs. C.'s on her way.
Michael: Dennis, I told you if you insisted on these draconian measures that-- oh, I'm sorry, but your so-called "Treatment" just drove him to the breaking point. That's all. No, that's un-- that's unacceptable. You are the district attorney... for now.
Gloria: Michael, what's going on with Kevin?
Jeff: Yeah, we were about to turn in when we got your message. What's going on?
Michael: Let's talk inside.
Gloria: I've got a terrible feeling about Kevin, Jeffrey.
Jeff: Ah. Hey, hey, hey, hey. He's a survivor, from good stock. No Baldwin or Fisher I know would ever go down without a fight.
Gloria: But what if there's no more fight left in him, hmm?
Michael: Are you not hearing what I'm saying? Listen to-- no-- no.
Daniel: Now, hey, here, I got you some aspirin.
Jana: Daniel, that is not gonna help. The further Kevin slips away from me, the harder my head throbs.
Kay: Um, excuse me. I am so glad you called.
Amber: Well, we figured you'd want to know, so...
Murphy: It's a terrible shame for this to happen to Kevin. Things just never should have gotten to this point.
Kay: Oh, just a minute. Now listen to me. If you are not knocking heads over this ridiculousness, believe me, I will.
Michael: This whole situation was handled horribly. My brother's future's at stake, and, somehow, some way, I will get him back.
Kevin: (Scoffs) What the hell was that for?
Chipmunk voice: You need to toughen up, be a man for once.
Kevin: I'm not listening to you.
Chipmunk voice: You'd better, or you're gonna be in big trouble. Think that punch hurt? That was a love tap compared to what you'll have comin' if you don't obey me. I could crack your tiny skull like a walnut. You hear me, boy?
Kevin: (Breathing heavily)
(Door closes)
Ashley: I am not gonna relax until the guards find that baby.
Victor: I promise you, as soon as they find something, they'll let us know immediately.
Adam: Ash, you okay?
Ashley: No. No, I'm not okay.
Estella: Is everything all right? I heard screaming.
Ashley: You heard the baby out in the woods?
Estella: Uh, I didn't hear any baby. I heard you. Is everything all right?
Ashley: Wait, wait. You heard me, but you didn't hear the baby? That's weird.
Estella: Weird? I was walking the dog by the gate. We started for the house, and I heard you calling for help.
Ashley: But no baby, Estella? Are you sure?
Estella: Yes, Ma'am, quite sure.
Adam: If there's a kid out there in trouble, we gotta do something about it.
Victor: It's already being taken care of, Adam.
Ashley: You know, um, what's taking so long? I mean, sh-shouldn't the guards have heard something?
(Knock on door)
Victor: Yes, Davis?
Davis: We searched the area where Ms. Abbott was walking. No sign of a child anywhere.
Ashley: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. It wa--it was-- it was out in the woods off the path. That's where I heard the baby crying.
Davis: Yes, Ma'am, all the way to the outside perimeters. Maybe you heard the wind in the trees.
Victor: Thank you, Davis.
Ashley: It was not the wind in the trees.
Estella: Could it have been an animal?
Adam: There's a lot of those around.
Ashley: I know the difference between an animal and a baby.
Victor: Would you kindly give Ashley and me some time alone?
Estella: Certainly, Mr. Newman. Come on, Zapato. Let's get your dinner. Come on.
Adam: Hey, Ashley, uh, I'm glad you're okay. I heard you screaming. It scared me.
Ashley: Thanks, Adam.
Ashley: I know what you're thinking, okay? And you're wrong.
Victor: My sweet love, I'm concerned.
Ashley: No, I know. I know. But I-I heard-- I heard the crying. I'm not crazy.
Mary Jane: Oh, thank you for feeding me. That was delicious.
Jack: Well, you need your sustenance. Making over my image is hard work.
Mary Jane: (Sighs) You said that. I didn’t.
Jack: So what do you think I should start with, a reenactment of the day I resigned my senate seat in disgrace, or a blow-by-blow of my ongoing feud with Victor Newman? They're both good copy.
Mary Jane: I thought we'd steer clear of that for a change.
Jack: Okay, we'll just stick with talking about... (Sighs) My five ex-wives.
Mary Jane: (Laughs) Okay, now get this all out of your system, okay, before tomorrow?
Jack: I promise. Once the tape's rolling, I'll be a good boy.
Mary Jane: Okay. But you do bring up a good point, though. Your, uh, most recent ex...
Jack: Sharon.
Mary Jane: Uh, yeah. I understand your wanting things to be amicable, but the more you can distance yourself from any scandal, the more efficient I can be.
Jack: Sharon's been having some trouble lately. What are you suggesting, I shouldn't be seen with her?
Mary Jane: (Sighs) Frankly, yes.
Heather: Well, I guess, uh, that's--that's really good Ashley's okay. I can remember from living here that there's some pretty spooky sounds at night.
Adam: (Chuckles) Yeah, country sounds. I grew up with 'em.
Heather: I sure did not. I, uh, I see your old laptop's out.
Adam: Oh, yeah. You know, I listen to music on it. It's not like I can see the screen or anything.
Heather: Hmm. Well, you won't need it for much longer, uh, as soon as you get your Braille laptop from Victor.
Adam: (Scoffs) And actually learn Braille-- small detail. Not like I don't have a lot of time on my hands, though.
Heather: Well, I was supposed to-- I was supposed to get going, so I guess I'm just gonna...
Adam: Uh, wait. I changed my mind.
Olivia: Very nice of you to send a car to the airport for me.
Victor: I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you, Dear, for coming.
Ashley: Olivia, what are you doing here? I thought you were in Atlanta on a conference.
Olivia: Yes, but I'm back. How you doing?
Ashley: I'm fine. Did Victor call you? I mean, you didn't have to come all the way out here.
Olivia: Look, I wanted to check in on you after you left the message the other night. Have you had any other symptoms?
Victor: What symptoms are we talking about?
Ashley: No, I'm--mm. (Sighs) I was spotting a little bit, and Jack took me over to see Dr. Okamura, and he said it was perfectly normal, and I didn't want to worry you, so that's why I didn't tell you.
Victor: And you're sure you are not overdoing it?
Ashley: (Sighs) Look, it hasn't happened since, okay? I feel great. I went for a walk earlier tonight. Everything was fine.
Olivia: Mm, what happened on your walk?
Ashley: I heard a baby crying in the woods.
Olivia: Go on.
Ashley: That's it. It lasted for a little-- little while, a few minutes, and then it was over.
Victor: The guards searched the grounds. They found nothing.
Ashley: Look... (Sighs) You guys, I don't know exactly what I heard, but I did hear it. I wasn't fantasizing. I was not hallucinating, okay? So don't go jumping to conclusions on me here.
Olivia: Uh, Honey, I-I wasn't there. I'm--I'm not jumping to conclusions, okay? I-I just care that you're taking care of yourself and you're staying calm.
Ashley: I am. Believe me, nothing is more important to me than the child that I'm carrying, okay?
Olivia: Good. Well, I'll go then.
Ashley: Thank you for coming. You didn't have to do that.
Olivia: Any time. I mean that.
Ashley: Okay. Thanks. I'm feeling a little tired now, though, so I think I'll go make myself some tea.
Victor: Okay, Sweetheart.
Ashley: Okay? Bye.
Olivia: Bye.
Victor: I'll see Olivia out.
Ashley: Okay.
Victor: (Sighs) Now can you see why I called you?
Olivia: I'm worried she really did hear a baby.
Victor: I'm telling you, the security team found nothing.
Olivia: I don't need to remind you what happened when she lost that baby with Brad.
Victor: (Sighs)
Olivia: And if she's worrying about losing this child, too...
Victor: Yeah. I'll do everything in my power to reassure her, okay?
Michael: Gloria, I had this dream on Christmas Eve. In it, I was looking for Kevin, and I was searching, and I was searching, and I finally found him, and he was locked in a padded cell, feeling abandoned and suicidal. I should have known. It was telling me right there. I should have known.
Gloria: Michael.
Michael: I should have been able to do something.
Gloria: Michael.
Michael: I had the--
Gloria: Michael, if anyone's to blame for failing Kevin, it's me, and it's time I owned up to my part in this.
Daniel: You know, they're supposed to heal people, not make things worse.
Jeff: Yeah, to put a severe claustrophobic in a straitjacket...
Jana: It is inhumane.
Amber: I just hope whoever's responsible gets theirs.
Gloria: Well, then that would be me. Katherine, I'm the one who set this whole chain of events into motion. When I realized that your memory was slipping, I tried to manipulate you into giving me that Jabot stock that I wanted so much.
Murphy: Manip--
Kay: What does she mean by "Manipulate"? What--what are you--
Gloria: But the thing I regret most is that I manipulated my own son into helping me. Kevin is the one who hot-wired your car and moved it so you would think your problems were worse than they... (Sighs) Were, and I also had him make those documents so I could transfer the Jabot stock into my account, and you were just about ready to sign when Jill walked in and saw what was going on, and she stopped you. And you're all looking at me like I'm scum, and I deserve it. Kevin doesn’t. If it weren't for me and what I did, he might never have gone after your kidnappers or be in the position he is now.
Gloria: Katherine, as long as I live, I could never express how sorry I am, and I am deeply, deeply ashamed.
Kay: What Kevin did no longer matters, Gloria. He's proven he's my friend again and again and again, but what you did is deplorable!
Kay: And I wash my hands of you, wash my hands of you, the likes of you, forever!
Murphy: For you to treat someone like that and then turn around and call her your friend-- what kind of a two-faced liar would do such a thing?
Amber: Oh, Gloria, that's who.
Kay: Uh, that's what greed, greed does to people, Gloria. Don't you understand that?
Jeff: Oh, come on. Gloria's no more greedy...
Kay: Oh, shut up.
Jeff: Than the rest of you hypocrites. She's just less afraid to act on it.
Kay: (Scoffs)
Daniel: Oh, that is so lame.
Jana: Okay, stop. Just all of you, stop, all right? I cannot take this anymore. Yes, what Gloria did is absolutely despicable, but right now, we need to be putting all of our energy and our thoughts and our focus into getting my husband back... (Sighs) If that's even possible now.
Kevin: Hey, come on. I thought we were buddies. What's, uh, what's with the threats all of a sudden?
Chipmunk voice: I'm gettin' real tired of your negativity. Nothing's ever good enough for you, is it? Think you're special? Well, I got news. You're a loser, and you always will be.
Kevin: Hey.
Chipmunk voice: That's enough out of you. I'm in charge. You do what I say from now on, you got that? You're nothin' but a snot-nosed kid, never gonna amount to anything.
Kevin: You don't know what you're talkin' about.
Chipmunk voice: The hell I don't, you little pissant. You're a failure, always have been.
Kevin: I'm not a failure. You take that back.
Chipmunk voice: Please, you're not even worth the space of that 2x2 closet your dad used to lock you in. He should have left you there and thrown away the key.
Kevin: Shut up! You hear me? Shut the hell up!
(Breathing heavily)
Heather: You missed me, huh?
Adam: Oh, you have no idea how much. I may never let you leave.
Heather: I don't want you to. I spent these last few months trying to get over you, and I just--I couldn’t. I think a part of me knew that it was just-- it wasn't possible. So I am never going to go anywhere again, never.
Adam: (Sighs) Oh, Heather. (Sighs) As wonderful as that is to hear, you deserve so much better.
Heather: (Sighs) Adam, stop. Okay, you made mistakes. You're paying for them. Deep down, I know you're a good person, someone I want to get to know all over again, okay?
Mary Jane: This house is really magnificent.
Jack: Yeah, it'll always be home.
Mary Jane: How lucky for the women in your life that they got to share it with you.
Jack: Well, they have come and gone, haven't they? I'm afraid I'm not terribly lucky in that department.
Mary Jane: Hmm. Haven't met the right girl?
Jack: I think they were all right-- I'm probably the one who messed it up. How about you? How many times have you been married?
Mary Jane: Only once.
Jack: Once?
Mary Jane: Yes, I've been fortunate.
Jack: Got it right the first time. Wow.
Mary Jane: (Sighs)
Jack: Lucky you. I'm on a slower learning curve, but you know what? I am what I am. Not gonna change my spots now.
Mary Jane: Who you are isn't all that bad.
(Doorbell rings)
Mary Jane: (Scoffs)
Jack: Excuse me.
Jack: Olivia, what a surprise.
Olivia: Jack, I'm so sorry to barge in like this without calling. It's just that I really need to talk to you about Ashley-- oh, I'm--I'm so sorry. I-I'm--I'm interrupting.
Jack: It--it's all right. Dr. Olivia Winters, this is Mary Jane Benson. She's our new P.R. wizard at Jabot. Uh, Olivia's not only Ashley's doctor, she's also a good family friend.
Mary Jane: It's a pleasure.
Olivia: Same.
Mary Jane: Well, I, uh, I guess we're finished, so I will see you tomorrow.
Jack: Okay.
Mary Jane: Okay. I-I'll just show myself out.
Jack: Yeah, uh, yeah. Okay.
Olivia: (Clears throat)
Jack: Hey, what's going on?
Olivia: Um, I just came from seeing Ashley.
Jack: She okay?
Olivia: Physically, she's fine.
Jack: Meaning... oh, no.
Olivia: I j-- I just thought you should know what's going on, Jack.
Victor: Would you like some more tea?
Ashley: You don't have to wait on me.
Victor: Sweetheart, it's not that I have to wait on you. I love to wait on you. It makes me happy.
Ashley: Well, if you want to make me happy, then you won't move a muscle, because I'm very content right where we are.
Victor: Okay.
Ashley: (Sighs) I'm sorry if I sounded defensive earlier, Victor. It's just, I can imagine how it must have sounded to you, you know, what I heard outside. I-it’s... (Sighs) I just don't want you to worry, okay? I promise you that history is not repeating itself.
Victor: Will you promise me something little?
Ashley: Mm.
Victor: Will you, when you feel that you are sort of getting stressed and overworked and all that, to me and talk to me about it? I don't want there to be any trouble, okay?
Ashley: You can count on it. I promise, promise, promise.
Victor: Okay. I am counting on it.
Kevin: Where the hell do you get off? You're not even a person! You're vermin. Look at you. You burrow down in the dirt, and that's your home.
Chipmunk voice: And where were you just living, huh? In the nuthouse, tied up in a straitjacket to keep you warm. I'll take my nice comfy burrow over that any day.
Kevin: Well, at least I've got people who care about me.
Chipmunk voice: (Laughs) Are you kidding me? You jumped out of a moving vehicle 'cause you didn't give a damn if you lived or died. Where were all those people who care then? I'll tell you where-- as far away from you as they could get.
Kevin: Stop it. Just stop it!
Chipmunk voice: You're pathetic. How could anyone love you? They'd have to be an idiot.
Kevin: That's enough! I don't have to take this. I've been treated like crap my whole life, and I am sick of it, all right? People making fun of me, u-using me. I am nobody's punching bag. You got that?
Chipmunk voice: (Laughs) Look at you, foaming at the mouth. That's what crazy people do. You're a worthless, screwed-up mess. Say good-bye to everything you ever knew, because this is it. No going back now.
Kevin: (Breathing heavily) No. I'm not gonna take that.
(Grunting)
Michael: I can't answer that, Lauren. Mm, we've always managed to pull him through, but this time, I'm-- I'm just not sure. Mm.
Gloria: (Sighs)
Amber: (Speaking indistinctly)
Jana: (Sighs)
Daniel: Hey, Babe, look, I can't just sit around here and do nothing anymore. Kevin's one of my best friends, and it seems like everybody else here has tried to help him, so I guess it's my turn.
Adam: Are you sure you can't stay?
Heather: Yeah, I really, really, really, really shouldn’t. I have a big case tomorrow, but I'll be back, okay?
Adam: You'd better be.
Heather: Mm-hmm.
Heather: Bye.
Adam: (Sighs)
(Door closes)
Adam: (Sighs)
Victor: Listen right now. I do not want that woman in my house. I have made that clear to both of you.
Adam: (Sighs) Look, Victor, Heather's important to me. If I could see her someplace else, I would, but, uh, I can’t. So she's just gonna have to come to me. It's just the way it is.
Victor: Let me tell you how it is, and you listen very carefully now.
Ashley: Is there a problem?
Victor: No, Sweetheart, there's no problem at all, okay?
Ashley: Okay.
Victor: (Sighs) Why don't you go on upstairs, okay?
Ashley: Yeah.
Victor: You look tired, all right?
Ashley: Oh, yeah, I was just on my way up.
Victor: Okay, I'll be right there.
Ashley: Okay. Good night, Adam.
Adam: Good night, Ash. Sleep well.
Ashley: You, too.
Victor: Okay, my darling, I'll be right there.
Adam: Well, I guess I should thank her. That's about the shortest fight we've ever had.
Victor: I say this once and only once-- do not under any circumstances create any tension around Ashley, because if you do, you'll have to deal with me.
Adam: You know I would never do that.
Jack: But--but there could be some logical explanation, right?
Olivia: Or maybe it's a repeat of what happened before.
Jack: How did she seem to you?
Olivia: (Scoffs) She seemed strong, clear-headed, just--she's just emphatic that she heard what she heard.
Jack: I hate the fact that she's living with Newman again, the very man responsible for her losing it not once but twice.
Olivia: I doubt Victor would see this as his fault.
Jack: Oh, no. No, since when does Victor take the blame for anything? Last time, she was nine months pregnant. We were in all kinds of problems at Jabot. She just needed to get away, to relax, but who follows her up to her private retreat in the country but the very man responsible for all the problems? Telling her she had nothing to worry about, which, of course, made her think troubles were only worse than they were.
Olivia: You know what? If only she hadn't gone back into Genoa City to find out what Victor was up to. It-- that car w-- let's just thank God she survived.
Jack: But the baby didn't, and we all know what happened after that.
[Jack remembering]
Brad: There is no baby, Ash.
Ashley: Don't say that.
Brad: The baby didn't survive. They did everything they could, Ash.
Ashley: How can you say that when Robert’s right here in my arms? No, don't do that.
Brad: Robert is not there, Ash.
Ashley: Don't do that.
Brad: There is no Robert. It's just a blanket. It's just a blanket.
Brad: The baby is dead.
Ashley: No, don’t. Give me my son.
Brad: Ash.
Ashley: Give him to me.
Olivia: Jack, go get my--
Ashley: Give me my son.
Brad: There is no baby.
Ashley: Give me my baby right now!
Brad: There is no baby. Ash, there is no baby.
Ashley: Let go of me! Give me my son. (Crying) Robert. Robert. Don't go. (Sobs) Don't go, Robert, please. Please, don't go. I love you.
Jack: Nobody that loves Ashley will ever forget that.
Olivia: For what it's worth, Jack, I really believe that Victor loves your sister. I mean, he's the one who called me because he was so concerned.
Jack: You honestly think that man has stopped pretending his actions don't have consequences?
Victor: That's excellent work.
Mary Jane: If only Jack and I weren't interrupted.
Victor: Just leave him wanting more.
Mary Jane: It makes it easier to reel him in that way.
Victor: You're a very fast learner, aren't you?
Mary Jane: I have an excellent coach.
Victor: Keep me posted.
Kevin: (Grunting)
Kevin: (Grunts) (Groans)
Kevin: (Breathing heavily)
Kevin: This is for Terrible Tom, and this is for Clint. (Yells) Ha! Get up here. And this is for anybody who has ever abused me.
(Grunts)
Kevin: It's time to go back now, Kevin.
Kevin: It's time.
Kevin: (Breathing heavily)
Daniel: Kevin, are you with me, buddy? Can you hear me?
Kevin: With you? What--what--
Daniel: Do you know who I am?
Jana: (Sighs)
Kevin: Yeah.
Daniel: Say my name.
Kevin: Why, did you forget it?
Daniel: Just say it. Say my name.
Kevin: Daniel Romalotti. What--why are you all here?
Michael: Thank you, God.
Kevin: What-- why, what's wrong? What--
Daniel: You were pretty out of it there for a while, buddy.
Kevin: I was having the weirdest dream.
Jana: Kevin, do you remember anything at all that happened before this dream?
Gloria: Honey, we thought we'd lost you.
Kevin: Why? What--
Michael: The nurse told us that you were yelling that you wanted to die, and then you collapsed and then went catatonic.
Daniel: Look, I'm gonna go, uh, tell the others, okay?
(Knock on door)
Gloria: Honey, Sweetheart, it was like the light went out inside of you.
Murphy: Then he’s...
Daniel: He's awake. He's talking. I'm telling you, he's back.
Jeff: Kevin recognized all of you?
Daniel: Even made a little joke.
Kay: Oh, God, that's reassuring.
Amber: Thank you so much for raising hell and making that supervisor let you in to see him.
Daniel: Mm, I don't know how much good I did talking to him, but, you know, while I was, I saw some kind of reaction, so I just kept at him until he finally came out of it. He said he was having some kind of big dream.
Amber: About what, did he say?
Daniel: I don't think any of us are ever really gonna know what was going on inside his head.
Gloria: You gave us all such a scare, Honey.
Jana: (Sighs)
Kevin: I'm so sorry.
Jana: Oh, God. Don't you apologize, Sweetheart. I'm just so glad to have you back.
Gloria: We all are.
Kevin: Michael.
Jana: (Sighs) (Sighs)
Michael: Uh, yeah, Kevin?
Kevin: Well, I hate to ask. I mean, you've already done so much, but, uh, are you gonna be able to help me?
Michael: Yeah, you bet. We're all gonna help you. Um... (Laughing) Thank God you're back, huh? Oh!
