Victoria: Hey, J.T., I thought you said you were gonna help me put the kids to bed.
J.T.: I was busy.
Victoria: What's going on?
Victoria: Oh, yes, you were.
J.T.: Happy anniversary.
Victoria: Happy anniversary.
J.T.: Come here.
Victoria: Thank you.
J.T.: Sure. Look, I-I know it's not the romantic night out on the town that we both wanted, but...
Victoria: Well, you know what? You know, at least Reed had a good time.
J.T.: Yeah. Yeah, Summer's great with him.
Victoria: Yeah. We should babysit her more often.
J.T.: Well, hopefully, next time under better circumstances.
Victoria: Yeah. I'm glad Nick finally called to tell us Noah was gonna be okay.
J.T.: Hey, falling through the ice like that, he's--he's lucky to be alive.
Victoria: I honestly don't think that my brother could survive losing another child.
J.T.: Hey, don't go there, all right? Noah--it was a close call, but he's fine, all right? And he's getting better.
Victoria: Yeah, you're right. So I guess we have two things to celebrate tonight.
J.T.: Yeah, and nothing says "I love you" like mac and cheese and chicken nuggets left over from the kids' meal, right?
Victoria: No, nothing does.
(Glasses clink)
Colleen: Dad, please call me back. I'm really starting to worry, okay? Bye.
Lily: Did you get his voice mail again?
Colleen: Yep.
Billy: It could be as simple as car trouble.
Colleen: Yeah, but he would have called and told us.
Billy: Colleen, maybe he stumbled into a dead zone and can't get reception.
Lily: Yeah, I mean, he could be walking to a pay phone right now.
Colleen: I was hoping we'd find something here to tell us where he'd gone.
Billy: Hey, it hasn't been that long.
Colleen: Look, I really appreciate you guys blowing off whatever plans you had and rushing over. Thank you.
Lily: Well, we know that you would do the same for us.
Colleen: You must think I'm crazy...
Billy: No, Sweetheart. We don't think. We know.
Colleen: (Scoffs) For getting so worked up about my dad missing a dinner, but I know him. He--he wouldn't stand Abby and I up without calling. Guys, something is not right.
Eden: (Sighs)
Jana: Eden, oh, my gosh. Thank God you're all right. How's Noah?
Lauren: They say he's gonna make a full recovery.
Eden: These guys wouldn't let me see him after he regained consciousness. It's not fair.
Michael: That wasn't fair? What about the hell you put us through tonight?
Jana: Okay, what matters is that everything is all right.
Michael: No, things are certainly not all right. I actually thought you learned something after you and Noah got into all that trouble in France.
Eden: We just wanted to go skating.
Michael: And in France, you just wanted to visit Jim Morrison’s grave.
Eden: Yes.
Michael: But you got into trouble again. Only this time, it wasn't as simple as Noah getting picked up by the police. This time, the consequences could have been fatal.
Eden: Okay, I said I was sorry. What more do you want?
Michael: I want you to stop lying to me. I want you to listen to Lauren and me and to realize that when we tell you something, we do it for a reason.
Lauren: All right, all right. We've all had a very harrowing night. Let's just calm down.
Michael: Calm. Calm. Noah could have died. You could have died. Do you understand me? So "I'm sorry"--that just-- it doesn't begin to cover it.
Nick: So you're sure he's out of the woods?
Doctor: Relax, Mr. Newman. Your boy's gonna make a full recovery.
Phyllis: Oh, that's so great. I cannot tell you how glad we are to hear that. Thank you, Doctor.
Nick: But you still want to keep him here.
Doctor: Just for observation.
Noah: (Sighs) Dad, don't worry. I'm okay.
Nick: Don't worry? Son, you are gonna turn me gray before my time.
Noah: (Sighs) I'm sorry.
Doctor: I know you've been through a parent's worst nightmare, but your son's vitals are strong and stable. His body temperature's back to normal.
Phyllis: That's great.
Nick: So him nodding off like that is just a sign of...
Doctor: It's a sign he's exhausted. I wouldn't be surprised if he slept straight through the night.
Nick: (Sighs) Okay. So when can we bring him home?
Doctor: How's tomorrow sound?
Phyllis: Good.
(Laughs)
Jack: (Sighs)
Nick: Thank you, Doctor, more than you know. Thank you.
Doctor: It's a good thing Noah got out of the water when he did. If his body temperature had dropped another couple of degrees, this might have had a totally different outcome.
Jack: Thank you, God, for watching over him.
Nick: (Sighs) So you'll stay here...
Phyllis: Wait, you--no, no.
Nick: Till I get back?
Phyllis: You--you-- you cannot be serious about wanting to drive up to the cabin tonight.
Nick: I have to tell Sharon what happened.
Phyllis: Nick, it's-- the weather. Uh, you--it-- there's a snowstorm.
Nick: I have driven in many storms.
Phyllis: Nick, please. Come on, please.
Nick: If there was another way to tell Sharon this, I would, but there's not. I have to do this.
Phyllis: All right, you heard the doctor. He said that Noah's fine. He's out of the woods. Everything's okay. I mean, he'll probably sleep through the night. That's what the doctor said.
Nick: So?
Phyllis: So it means that, you know, Noah won't know whether his mother was here or not, and she can come up tomorrow after the storm.
Nick: Please don't fight me on this, okay?
Phyllis: Okay, listen, I-I don't want you to go. The authorities are telling everybody to stay off the roads.
Nick: I have chains.
Phyllis: It's dangerous. It is very dangerous, especially in the woods. There are all those windy roads.
Nick: I'll be careful.
Phyllis: Why are you doing this? I don't want you to go. We can't risk you getting into an accident. Please, come on, admit it. It's a horrible idea.
Colleen: Well, call me the minute you hear anything, no matter what time it is. Thanks, Ashley. Bye.
Billy: (Sighs) Where is she?
Colleen: Still at the Athletic Club.
Lily: What, in case your dad shows up?
Billy: Yeah, I heard you mention Noah. How is he?
Colleen: Well, that's the good news. Uh, Uncle Jack called and said he's gonna be fine.
Lily: And the bad news?
Colleen: No one's heard anything from my dad.
Billy: I'm sure there's a logical explanation.
Colleen: (Sighs) This is crazy, standing around doing nothing. I'm--I'm calling the police.
Michael: Well, maybe we should just lock you in your room, put a tracking bracelet around your ankle so we can monitor you at all times.
Eden: You want to keep me prisoner?
Lauren: He didn't mean literally, Honey.
Michael: Oh, didn't I? Right? Obviously, she can't be trusted. Why don't you tell us what we should do with you, Eden? Because you seem to know more than we do.
Eden: Do whatever the hell you want. See if I care.
Jana: I'm gonna go check on Fen. I think my mp3 player's in there anyway.
Michael: All right, you with the husband in the closet.
Lauren: Okay, okay, okay. Just take some deep breaths, okay?
Michael: What, and hold them until I pass out?
Lauren: No. Look, I know you were scared. I was scared, too, but the kids are okay.
Michael: This time.
Lauren: Yes, this time, and I agree that she needs to be punished, but certainly not under house arrest.
Michael: I know. I was just trying to get through to her, make her--make her realize how serious this is. Our best friends' son almost died tonight, and my sister could have fallen through the ice with him.
Lauren: I know. Right, but there is one thing that I have learned from parenting a teenager.
Michael: Use a gun?
Lauren: (Scoffs) Very funny. No, you can't punish in anger. I mean, whatever it is that we decide, it has to be reasonable and more importantly, something that we can enforce.
Noah: (Groans)
Jack: Hey, hey, hey, ea--easy, tiger. You're not going anywhere, not any time soon.
Noah: (Sighs)
Jack: Relax.
Noah: How long have you been here?
Jack: A while.
(Sighs)
Noah: (Sighs) Where's Eden?
Jack: Well, Michael and Lauren took her home.
Noah: Is she okay?
Jack: Yeah, she's okay. She's worried sick about you.
Noah: She was?
Jack: Yeah. She wanted to see you before she left, but the doctor insisted you needed your rest.
Noah: (Sighs) Oh.
Jack: So listen. This, uh, this accident-- do you remember anything more about it?
Noah: No. One minute I was skating, and then the ice cracked and I fell in. Next thing I knew, I was in the hospital.
Jack: Somehow, you pulled yourself out.
Noah: (Sighs) Mom is gonna kill me.
Jack: No, no. Your mom's gonna hug you so hard you won't be able to breathe.
Noah: (Sighs)
Jack: Then when she lets go, she's gonna kick your butt till next week.
Noah: (Chuckles) Does she know?
Jack: About the accident? No, not yet.
Noah: Is she still up at the cabin?
Jack: Uh-huh.
Noah: Well, do you think she'll be okay there all alone with the--with the storm?
Jack: I-I-I went up and checked on her earlier. She's fine. Believe me, she has everything she needs.
Sharon: Oh, no, not again.
Nick: Look, I have to do this. I have to go now.
Phyllis: Wait, Nick, please, listen to me.
Nick: Look, if it were Daniel or Summer who had almost died and they were lying in a hospital bed somewhere, wouldn't you want to know that?
Phyllis: Of course I would. I would definitely want to know, but not if it meant risking your life to tell me.
Nick: I'll be fine.
Phyllis: You know, I'm sure Noah said that to Eden right before he went skating on the lake.
Nick: Yes, well, my decision-making is a little better than a 15 year old's, wouldn't you think?
Phyllis: (Sighs) You're not gonna give up on this, are you?
Nick: No, I have to do this. After what happened to Cassie, I owe this to Sharon, and you can either fight me on this or support me, but either way, I'm going. So what's it gonna be?
J.T.: So how was your dinner?
Victoria: Well, I have to admit, champagne really does elevate chicken nuggets and mac and cheese to a whole another level.
J.T.: Well, I'm just doing what any famous Mr. Mom would do for the woman he loves.
Victoria: You know, you shouldn't make fun of yourself. There's a lot of women, present company included, who find it very sexy.
J.T.: Is that right?
Victoria: Yeah.
J.T.: Well, the cake's probably thawed. You want me to cut you a piece?
Victoria: (Sighs) 1-year-old wedding cake-- the perfect end to a romantic meal.
(Laughs)
J.T.: (Laughs) Yeah, our 1-year anniversary. Oh, and, uh...
Victoria: What?
J.T.: Don't look. I thought a paper bouquet would be appropriate.
Victoria: Oh, it's beautiful. It's beautiful. We can show it to our grandkids one day.
J.T.: Yeah, on our golden wedding anniversary.
Victoria: Yeah. Hey, I have something for you.
J.T.: Well, good.
Victoria: I hope you like it.
Victoria: (Sighs)
J.T.: Okay.
J.T.: "To my darling husband, I am a better, stronger, happier person today because of you. One year is just the beginning. The best is still to come. I love you. Victoria."
Victoria: (Whispers) I love you.
J.T.: (Whispers) I love you.
(Phone slams down)
Colleen: Sometimes I wonder why we even pay taxes.
Lily: What, the police won't help?
Colleen: They claim there's nothing they can do. My dad's an adult, and he's only been missing a few hours.
Billy: I-I'm sure there's a lot of people stranded in this mess, okay?
Colleen: Well, that's what the officer said.
Billy: Look, your dad is a sharp guy. He's in great shape. If anyone can take care of themselves, it's Brad.
Colleen: (Sighs) I'm gonna go out of my mind if I stay here. I'm gonna go search for him.
Lily: No, Colleen, you've gotta be kidding me. You can't go out there. The roads are too icy.
Colleen: Try and stop me, Lily.
Billy: Okay, look, just let me go with you then, okay?
Colleen: Look, you guys are gonna be a better help if you stay here. If you hear anything or he calls, please just let me know, okay?
Eden: I can't believe Michael.
Jana: What do you mean?
Eden: After he found out Noah was gonna be okay, he wouldn't let me say "Good-bye."
Jana: (Sighs) Well, I think he was just shook up from the accident.
Eden: Yeah, I can tell. He's been yelling at me all night.
Jana: Sometimes people use anger to cover up their fear.
Eden: He probably wishes it was me who fell through the ice.
Jana: Eden, don't you ever think that. Your brother loves you more than you'll ever know.
Eden: I wouldn't blame him if he didn’t.
Jana: Why--why would you say that?
Eden: I feel like such a loser. All Noah and I wanted was to have a little fun, but every time we try, something bad happens.
Jana: You're not a loser.
Eden: I'd never been so scared in my life. If something had happened to him--
Jana: Well, nothing did, did it? He's safe, and so are you.
Lauren: They say that valerian tea is very calming to the nerves.
Michael: (Coughs) Whoever "They" are, tell 'em it's not working.
Lauren: All right, then is it possible that you can look at this from Eden's point of view?
Michael: And what is that supposed to mean?
Lauren: (Sighs)
Michael: (Sighs)
Lauren: Honey, she just lost her father who-- who meant the world to her, along with the only home she ever knew. Look at what the whole River situation did to you.
Michael: As I recall, I didn't put any lives at risk.
Lauren: You know, Honey, we're all finding our way here, and it's gonna take some time, but if we come down too hard on her, I'm just afraid she's gonna shut down or worse.
Michael: Maybe I'm not cut out for this.
Lauren: Cut out for what?
Michael: Parenting a teenager.
Lauren: You know, you were joking about that earlier.
Michael: No, no, no. Who's joking?
(Sighs)
Lauren: Ay-yi-yi. Come here. Mm.
(Sighs)
Phyllis: Okay, you're right. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Nick: So you agree that Sharon has to know.
Phyllis: Yes, I agree. I agree. But you know what? You should stay with Noah.
Nick: Well, then how is Sharon--
Phyllis: I'll--I'll--I'll go. I'll do this.
Nick: No, no way.
Phyllis: No, yes, I want to do this for you. I--or, you know, better yet, Jack should do it. You know, Jack should do it. It's his cabin. He'll know the safest...
Nick: (Sighs)
Phyllis: And easiest way to get there.
Nick: I am not asking Jack to do this.
Phyllis: Why not?
Nick: I'm not sure I want Sharon hearing this news from either of you.
Phyllis: But--but Jack is Sharon's husband.
Nick: Look, Noah--Noah is Sharon and my son. She needs to hear this from me. I need to reassure her that he is okay.
Phyllis: Nick?
Nick: Yeah?
Phyllis: Be careful.
Nick: I will. I'll be back soon, I promise.
Phyllis: I love you.
Nick: I love you, too.
Victoria: What? Who could that be?
J.T.: (Sighs)
J.T.: It's Colleen.
Victoria: At this hour?
J.T.: Yeah. Hey, what are you doing out in this weather?
Colleen: Hi. I'm--I'm so sorry for showing up so late, but, uh, my dad is missing.
J.T.: Missing?
Colleen: Yeah, uh, I-I just didn't know who else to turn to. The police are being no help at all, so...
J.T.: All right, well, come in. It's freezing out there.
Colleen: Hi.
Victoria: Hi.
J.T.: Start-- start at the beginning. What--what do you mean your dad's missing?
Colleen: Well, he was supposed to show up at the Athletic Club. He was supposed to have dinner with Abby and me, and he called to say he was gonna be a little late, but...
J.T.: He probably just got sidetracked.
Victoria: Well, obviously, he's not answering his cell phone?
Colleen: Or his texts or his e-mails.
J.T.: Have you checked his house?
Colleen: Yeah. This is just so weird, you know? Like, he's--he's so dependable.
Victoria: Yeah, you know what? I-I agree with you. Under normal circumstances, he would never leave you guys hanging, but there is a weather emergency going on right now.
J.T.: Yeah, I mean, he probably just got caught up because the roads are so slippery.
Colleen: (Sighs) You think I'm being ridiculous, don't you?
Victoria: No, I don't think you're being ridiculous. My father was missing, too, and I was as scared as you are. I totally understand.
Eden: What happened? It was all my fault.
Jana: And you put a gun to his head, and you forced him out there on that lake, did you?
Eden: No, but I talked him into it. I even coached him on how to trick Phyllis into giving him permission.
Jana: Look, you're still very young, and you are bound to make mistakes. I've got at least a decade on you. I'm still making bloody doozies. The important thing is that Noah's all right.
Eden: I'm always teasing him, giving him a hard time, but I really like him.
Jana: Yeah, I think I picked up on that.
Eden: If I tell you a secret, promise you won't say anything to Michael.
Jana: On my honor.
Eden: (Scoffs) Noah's the first boy I ever kissed.
Jana: Well, that makes him very special then, doesn't it?
Eden: He helped me so much when my dad was in jail and when River left.
Jana: It was really great you had him to lean on.
Eden: That's why it's so lame that they wouldn't even let me see him after he woke up.
Jana: You'll see him soon. Don't worry.
Eden: Don't be too sure. We've already been forbidden to hang out together.
Jana: Well, that obviously didn't stop you, did it?
(Chuckles)
Eden: I'm just afraid that after tonight, they're gonna try something drastic to keep us apart.
Lauren: So look on the bright side. This is great practice for you when Fen's a teenager.
Michael: Tell me boys are easier.
Lauren: You want me to lie?
Michael: Ha! I know how to learn things that are taught to me, like when I was in law school. It was in the books, the teachers explained it, I got it. (Sighs) But with my sister, it's like I'm making it up as I go, and I'm obviously not doing a very good job.
Lauren: You know something? You are an amazing husband. You are a warm and loving father. See? You didn't get that in any book.
Michael: Yeah. You and Fen are easy, though. (Sighs) Eden and I-- we just seem to be butting heads all the time.
Lauren: You'll figure it out. I have faith in you.
Jack: Noah's sleeping... again. Where's Nick?
Phyllis: Nick went up to the cabin to go bring Sharon back.
Jack: In the snowstorm out there?
Phyllis: Yeah, in the snowstorm. Apparently, Sharon needs to know what happened to Noah right this minute.
Jack: Well, she is his mother.
Phyllis: (Sighs) Yes, she is. You're a big help. Thanks.
Jack: You're concerned there's something more?
Phyllis: Um, I think Nick's desperation to get up to the cabin is as much about his feelings for Sharon as it is about Noah's close call.
Jack: You sure you're not overreacting?
Phyllis: I don't think so. I offered to go myself. I even suggested that you go, but he insisted absolutely he had to go. He had to go get Sharon. This is driving me crazy.
Jack: I'm sorry.
Phyllis: (Sighs)
Jack: I wish I knew what to say.
Phyllis: Will you do me a favor?
Jack: Sure, what?
Phyllis: Will you stay with Noah?
Jack: Why, where are you going?
Phyllis: I'm going to find my husband.
Lily: Snacks.
Billy: Hi. You think Brad's gonna mind you raiding his fridge?
Lily: Oh, no. Colleen and I have been friends for so long I'm like another daughter to him.
Billy: I wish she'd let me go with her. It's nasty out there.
Lily: Well, in case you haven't noticed, your niece is pretty stubborn.
Billy: Runs in the family.
Lily: Yeah. I just feel like there's something that we should be doing.
Billy: Me, too. I just don't know what.
Lily: Well, I guess we just do what she says and wait here and hope her dad shows up.
Billy: I can think of worse ways to spend the evening than sitting here with you.
Lily: (Chuckles)
Billy: Come here. (Sighs) Come on. I'm not gonna bite.
Lily: You won't? That's too bad.
Billy: (Laughs)
Lily: (Giggles)
Billy: Okay. Ooh. Actually, you know, this gives me a great idea.
Lily: (Laughing) Oh, yeah, I'll bet, and the answer is "No."
Billy: Mm, look here, miss freaky. I was talking about my family's cabin.
Lily: Oh, what about it?
Billy: I haven't been there in a long time. It's up in the woods. The scenery is unreal.
Lily: Oh, the woods. I love the woods. Everything is just so peaceful, and the air is fresh and clean.
Billy: Then we should go.
Lily: Really?
Billy: Yeah, why not? It's got a generator, all the comforts of home.
Colleen: Thanks.
J.T.: Yeah.
Victoria: Can I get you some hot chocolate, something to warm you up?
Colleen: Uh, no, no, no. I'm--I'm fine.
Victoria: Okay.
Colleen: Oh, it's your--
J.T.: Yeah, it's our 1-year anniversary.
Colleen: Oh, my God. I feel like such an idiot. Why didn't you say something?
Victoria: No, it--listen, it's no problem whatsoever. My, um, my brother's little girl's here. We're watching her for him, so...
Colleen: I hear Noah's gonna be okay.
J.T.: Yeah, we were sweating it for a while.
Victoria: Um, and you know, it's probably a good thing that we're staying in because of the treacherous ice out there.
Colleen: What if my dad runs off the road and hurts himself or something?
Victoria: Brad's a really good driver.
Colleen: Yeah. Look, um, I don't want to take up any more of your time.
J.T.: Colleen, do you have somebody you can be with?
Colleen: Yeah, yeah. Uh, Lily and Billy are at my dad's house to see if he calls or comes home.
Victoria: Well, you know, you really shouldn't be by yourself.
Colleen: I just-- I just don't know if I can stand around doing nothing, you know? J.T., you've handled missing person cases. Like, where-- where do I start looking?
Victoria: (Whispering) Why don't you go with her?
Colleen: No, no. No, no, no. No, it's--it's fine.
Victoria: (Normal voice) No, we insist.
J.T.: Yeah, absolutely.
Victoria: Right, Honey? We insist.
J.T.: We--we insist.
Victoria: Yeah.
Colleen: Thank you. Thank you so much.
J.T.: All right, we'll, uh, pick up where we left off.
Victoria: Okay. Good luck.
J.T.: Okay.
(Door closes)
Victoria: (Sighs)
Jack: Have you lost your mind? The roads are treacherous even in town.
Phyllis: I don't care. I'm not giving up on my marriage like you did. I happen to think that my marriage is worth fighting for.
Jack: What, and mine wasn't?
Phyllis: You know what? This is about me right now, Jack.
Jack: You gotta stop being paranoid about Sharon.
Phyllis: I am not paranoid about Sharon.
Jack: Listen, the two of them share a son. That is always going to be the case. It's always gonna draw them together. You can't fight that.
Phyllis: The hell I can’t.
Michael: Thanks for babysitting and, uh, talking Eden down.
Jana: Well, I don't know how successful I was.
Michael: Well, at least you tried.
Jana: You know, when I was her age, no one could tell me anything.
Michael: Yeah, well, it seems the more I say, the worse things get.
Jana: If you were in her position and your dad had been around, what would you have wanted him to say?
Michael: It wouldn't have mattered what he said as long as he said it from his heart. Unfortunately, he didn't have a heart.
Jana: But you do.
Michael: Cold and crusty as it is.
Jana: Well, underneath it all, she's a good kid, Michael, and you are a good man, and I've got all sorts of hope for the two of you.
Michael: (Scoffs)
Lauren: We're not blaming you because the ice broke. We're just upset because of the lies.
Eden: Because you guys make us sneak around.
Lauren: Eden, the point is, we didn't know where you were or how to reach you.
Eden: (Sighs) Michael will probably never speak to me again.
Lauren: Look. (Sighs) This is hard for your brother, too.
Eden: He probably wishes he'd never met me.
Lauren: No, he's just-- he's frustrated. Honey, all he wants to do is protect you, but you won't let him.
Eden: So what am I supposed to do now?
Lauren: You're supposed to learn from this. You're supposed to think before you act. I-I mean, we don't make these rules to control you. We certainly want you to have a good time, but more importantly, we want you safe.
Phyllis: Hi, Officer. What's the problem?
Man: Sorry, Ma'am. Road's closed.
(Knocking on door)
(Footsteps approaching)
Sharon: Nick, hey. What are you doing here?
Nick: Hey, hey. Heck of a storm, huh?
Sharon: Uh, yeah. I mean, that's why I'm surprised to see you here. Something happened, didn't it? What's wrong?
Nick: No, ev--everything's-- everything's fine.
Sharon: Nick, wait a minute. What happened? What happened?
Nick: Okay, don't freak, but Noah was in an accident.
Sharon: Oh, my gosh. Oh, how--how bad?
Nick: He's--he's fine. They're gonna keep him at the hospital overnight just for precaution. They told me he could come home tomorrow.
Sharon: Okay, what happened?
Nick: I guess he was skating out at Lake Mary with Eden, and he fell through the ice.
Sharon: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Not again.
Nick: I-I know. But, Sharon, he--he got out, okay? He got out.
Sharon: How? How did he do that?
Nick: They found him on the ice just lying there next to the hole. I guess he pulled himself out somehow.
Sharon: Oh, my gosh. It is a miracle that he didn't freeze to death or...
Nick: I know. I know. I spoke to the doctors. They said there's gonna be no lasting damage.
Sharon: Okay, um, I-I have to go to him.
Nick: Listen, that's why I came out here, so I could drive you there and you could see him for yourself.
Sharon: Okay. Well, you know, I'm just gonna put my coat on and go, because I can come back and get everything else later.
Nick: No, maybe we should put out the fire first and the candles.
Sharon: Yeah, I'm not thinking straight. I'm not even thinking straight.
Nick: Okay, listen to me.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Nick: Listen to me. I'm here, and I'm gonna take you to see Noah, and he is fine. I promise you. He's fine.
Sharon: (Sighs)
Billy: So, um, not to rush you or anything, but how about next weekend?
Lily: How about next weekend what?
Billy: The cabin. It will be Valentine’s Day.
Lily: Um, I don't know. I-I might be busy.
Billy: Oh, well, if it's because we're supposed to be taking things slowly, I'll make you a deal-- separate bedrooms, no funny business. I will be like the perfect Boy Scout.
Lily: (Laughs) Oh, I'm sure you will, but...
Billy: (Growls)
Lily: Does it have to be that particular weekend?
Billy: No, it doesn't have to be that weekend. It's just that I thought that, uh... you are not ready to do the Valentine's thing with me, are you?
Lily: (Sighs) I'm sorry.
Billy: No, it's okay. I get it. I mean, that day can be overwhelming with all the goofy hearts and flowers and stuff. It's not that I'm the type of guy who buys into that, nor do I look at it as some sort of commitment or anything.
Lily: Well, I mean... (Sighs) I hate to bring it up, but Cane did.
Billy: Oh.
Lily: (Sighs)
Billy: Yeah.
Lily: Yeah, just, um, last year, that was the--the first night--
Billy: Yeah, no, I got that. I get it. You don't need to bring it up. I... (Slaps hand on leg) Perfect.
Lily: I'm sorry. Listen, I know that it's stupid of me to hold onto. It's not like it's some kind of anniversary or anything. I mean, I really should just forget it ever even happened, but...
(Sighs)
Billy: Well, look. I'm sure we all have things that we've done that we'd like to forget.
Lily: Oh, come on. You're not gonna leave me hanging, are you?
(Scoffs)
Billy: Lily, I really don't have time to tell you about all the mistakes that I've made.
Lily: Well, I mean, I guess maybe you would if we spent the weekend together.
Billy: Oh, you mean you'll go.
Lily: Oh, it means I'll think about it.
Billy: Really?
Lily: Mm-hmm.
Billy: Hmm.
Eden: Oh, boy, another lecture. Go ahead, ground me for life. I deserve it.
Michael: I don't like what you did, but I will always love you.
Eden: (Crying)
Michael: Shh.
Eden: (Crying) I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
(Sniffles)
(Crying)
Victoria: Hi. (Sighs) Any luck?
Colleen: No. We looked everywhere we could think of.
J.T.: It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
(Sighs)
Colleen: How you doing, Summer?
Summer: I want my daddy.
Victoria: Oh, I know. Your daddy will be here soon, okay?
Summer: Okay.
Victoria: Yeah.
Phyllis: Please, )fficer, um, I need to get to my husband. Our son is in the hospital. It's an emergency.
Man: Sorry, Ma'am. It's too dangerous. No one's allowed on the road.
Phyllis: But-- but this kind of situ--
Man: You're gonna have to turn your car around.
Phyllis: (Sighs)
(Knock on door)
Man: Evening, Sir. Hello, Ma'am. You might as well take your coats back off. The roads are closed.
Sharon: No.
Man: No one's permitted to travel till the storm's over.
Sharon: Um, listen. My son has been in a serious accident, and I have got to get to Genoa City Memorial.
Nick: I got four-wheel drive and chains.
Man: Still doesn't cut it. I could barely get through on a snowmobile.
Sharon: This can't be happening.
Man: I'm sorry, Ma'am. Between the park service and the highway patrol, all the roads are blocked.
Nick: How long until you think we can get out?
Man: Hopefully, by morning, but there are no guarantees, so just sit tight till you get the all clear. Good night.
Nick: Okay, good night. Thank you. (Sighs)
Sharon: Nicholas, what if--what if something happens to Noah? I mean, what if--
Nick: No, no, no. I told you he's gonna be fine.
Sharon: I'm not gonna make it through this night.
Nick: Yes, you will. We'll get through it together.
Next on "The Young and the Restless"...
Victor: Your brother's overstaying his welcome.
Jack: Your boyfriend seems to think he owns this hospital.
Ashley: All right.
Phyllis: You're telling me he's stranded in that cabin overnight.
Sharon: You left our child sitting alone in a hospital room!
Nick: This is where I should be.
