(missed very beginning, sorry)

for staying away, mother.

Anita: Well, are you planning on sharing them? 3EA5C281.JPG

Brittany: Right now?

Anita: Brittany, your father and I have been worried sick.

Brittany: Because I might have been pregnant.

Anita: No, because you we

Brittany: No, I wasn'T. I knew exactly where I was.

Anita: You may find this all very amusing, but your father and I didn'T.

Brittan for being relieved.

Anita: Well, of course I'm relieved!

Brittany: Then why are you yelling?

Anita: M upset.

Brittany: You suppose?

Anita: You were missing for weeks. You didn't bother to call us onc

Brittany: Yeah, well, I was alone, too-- as alone as it gets. 3EA5C2A1.JPG

Anita: Of cours sweetheart. Of course you were.

Brittany: Mom, I'm not trying to get sympathy. I'm just telling you.

Anita: Where were you? What were you living on all this time?

Brittany: I remembered I had some savings bonds, and I cashed them in.

Anita: That couldn't have been much.

Brittany: It was enou, mom, not that I was livin high on the hog.

Anita: No, I can't imagine you were.

Brittany: Look, you told dad that you wanted to have a mother-to-daughter talk. Are you gonna do that, or just talk about things that are over and done with?

Jill: 18 years old and married. It is so not what I wanted for my son. 3EA5C2CA.JPG

John: Of course it isn'T.

Jill: I would like to get my hands around mackenzie browning's throat and just squeeze the life out of her. You don't seem very upset about this.

John: You're upset enough for both of us.

Jill: This is serious, john.

John: Oh, jill, of course it is. Don't you think that I would do anything in my power to stop billy and mackenzie from getting married?

Jill: Then would you please do it?

John: Well, I'm waiting for one of your brilliant ideas. I mean, we've already cut our son off financially.

Jill: Oh, that's gonna turn out to be a giant waste of time. 3EA5C2EF.JPG

John: Why is that?

Jill: Because katherine will bail them out just to spite me.

John: Well, she cut mackenzie off when she moved in with billy.

Jill: Yes, but if they're married, she's gonna chip in. You just watch.

John: Jill, it doesn't matter. These kids are determined to go it alone.

Jill: And they think it's so romantic.

John: You know, I keep seeing this image of my son with his nose to the grindstone, thinking of the years he's giving up of freedom, of exploration.

Jill: My god, you sound like you're starting to accept this. No, you do. Listen to the way you're talking! Come on, we gotta stop moaning and groaning and find a way to keep this wedding from happening. 3EA5C319.JPG

John: I would love to do that, but we cannot do it alone. We are going to need help.

Brock: Hey, billy.

Billy: Mr. Reynolds, thanks for coming. I hope I didn't catch you in the middle of anything.

Brock: No, not at all. I had a couple of errands to run in the neighborhood anyhow.

Billy: Can I get you a cup of coffee?

Brock: No, no, I'm fine. You have made me curious. A private meeting with my daughter's boyfrnd? Must be something important.

Billy: Yeah, yeah it is.

Brock: What's on your mind, son?

Billy: Why don't we sit down?

Brock: Yeah, sure.

Kay: Oh, it is so good to see you!

Mac: Grandma, you act like it's been months. 3EA5C371.JPG

Kay: Well, that's because it has been. Sit down, darling. I want to hear all about your life-- absolutely everything. How is school?

Mac: Good, good. I should make the dean's list this semester.

Kay: Oh, that's wonderful, wonderful! And the apartment? You still like living there?

Mac: I love it. It's the best, grandma. It's so much fun being on my own. Not that I don't miss seeing you every day, of course.

Kay: Well, no, no, please. I understand. I thought it was about time you should spread your wings. And how is billy?

Mac: Actually... 3EA5C392.JPG

Kay: You're smiling. Why?

Mac: He's the reason I wanted to talk to you.

Kay: Good news?

Mac: Very good news.

Kay: Oh, god. I could use more of that.

Mac: Something's happened, grandma, something so amazing. I've never been more excited--

Kay: Well, what? Tell me! What is it, mackenzie? For heaven's sakes.

Mac: Billy and i are getting married.

Mary: Isabella?

Isabella: Mary, hi! Look who's here, honey. Look who's here.

Mary: He looks so adorable today. May I hold him?

Isabella: Of course. Here, let me help you. Go to anandma!

Mary: I can get him as long as I don't take your hands with me. Oh, what a big boy! Yeah, such a big boy! Oh, gosh! 3EA5C3D8.JPG

Isabella: He's not letting go of that milk.

Mary: He's grown so much. Of course, I don't get t see him very often these days.

Isabella: Yes, ricky and I have been busy.

Mary: Oh, shopping, I see.

Isabella: Uh-uh, I needed to get ricky some clothes for warm weather.

Mary: But it's only april. There can't have been anything on sale.

Isabella: So I guess you'll be spending a lot of time on airplanes soon.

Mary: Airplanes, why?

Isabella: To visit your grandson. Paul didn't tell you?

Mary: Tell me what?

Isabella: Well, we're moving. In a few short days we're gonna be californians, aren't we? Oh, yes, we are. Yes, we are. Good afternoon. Alberta's health minister is doing what he can to allay fears about sars in edmonton's chinatown... so he's invited reporters along on a special tour this afternoon... we'll take you there live...+++and canada's health minister is holding a conference call with her provincial counterparts tomorrow to update them on the battle against the deadly virus...+++plus - three girls from the sylvan lake area have been charged with attempted murder after pulling a deadly prank with a slushie drink... th 3EA5C4CB.JPG

Brock: I assume this has something to do with mackenzie.

Billy: She hasn't said anything to you, has she?

Brock: About what?

Billy: Why I wanted to see you?

Brock: Billy, that's kind of hard for me to answer. I don't know why you want to see me.

Billy: Right. Uh, it's about the situation with mackenzie and me.

Brock: Oh, you mean the living-together situation?

Billy: Well, sort of.

Brock: I thought this might happen. You know, things wouldn't work out. You and mac under the same roof. I guess I can understand why she doesn't feel comfortable coming to me herself. After all, I discouraged-- 3EA5C4F1.JPG

Billy: It's not that. Mac and I love living together. In fact, spending so much time with mac, it's shown me how much your daughter means to me, how much I like being with her.

Brock: Billy, I think you'd better cut to the chase.

Billy: Yeah. Driving over here, I had this perfect speech in my head. I planned out everything that I was gonna say, and now I can't seem to find the rit t words, so I'm just gonna come out and say it. I love your daughter, mr. Reynolds. I love her more than anything in the world. And the reason I asked you here is to ask you for her hand in marriage.

Kay: Did you say you and billy are-- 3EA5C527.JPG

Mac: We're getting married.

Kay: Well, when did you get engaged?

Mac: A few days ago.

Kay: A few days ago?

Mac: I'm sorry I didn't tell you right away, grandma. I wanted to.

Kay: It's fine, it's fine. But your father, don't you think your father should be here?

Mac: Actually, billy's talking to dad right now.

Kay: Is he?

Mac: I really hope it's going okay.

Kay: Well, yes. However he reacts, I'm sure it's going to pale in comparison to what jill has to say when she finds out.

Mac: Actually, jill already knows.

Kay: What about billy's father?

Mac: I'm sorry, grandma. I hope you're not upset that we told them first. The way things happened, it kind of wasn't really our choice. 3EA5C54B.JPG

Kay: How did billy's parents take the news?

Mac: Not so well. Billy's dad, he wasn't angry. It was more like he was disappointed. He really thinks we're making a huge mistake.

Kay: Well, I'm sure that hurt billy, and I'm sure it hurt you, too.

Mac: And we really want the people we love to be happy for us.

Kay: Yes, yes, of course you do. Of course you do. I'm just... jill.

Mac: Jill was not pleased. I mean, she totally went off and not just on billy-- on me, too. She said all these horrible things like that billy only asked me to marry him because of some fight they had. She told him that he was throwing his life away because of me. 3EA5C573.JPG

Kay: She actually said that?

Mac: Grandma, the whole thing was so awful, and billy stood up to her. But she just wouldn't stop. She hates me. Grandma, as much as I want to marry billy, part of me is almost afraid that if we do go through with this, jill's gonna make our lives completely miserable.

Kay: No, no, no, no, no.

John: You know, I wish I could shake the feeling that this whole thing is about S..

Jill: Well, of course it's about sex. Of course it's a factor. Little miss mackenzie the pure, holding out for a wedding ring.

John: Now, jill, don't knock her for saving herself for marriage. There should be more of it. 3EA5C59A.JPG

Jill: I know, I know. Okay, but are you ready for grandchildren?

John: Oh, please, stop.

Jill: I'm serious! Those two are behaving so irresponsibly, who knows what they'll do next?

John: Oh, good lord. No, no, billy and mackenzie are not ready to become parents, that's for sure.

Jill: Well, of course they're not. I mean, look what happened to me. They should learn from that.

John: What are you talking about?

Jill: I was an unwanted child.

John: Oh, jill, are you gonna play that tune again and again?

Jill: I am not feeling sorry for myself here. I am trying to find an angle to get through our son's thick head so he'll see that there are consequences to all of this. 3EA5C5BC.JPG

John: I know that. Have you heard from your birth mother again?

Jill: No. She probably decided she was right to get rid of me all those years ago.

John: Oh, come on, jill.

Jill: Well, what am I supposed to think? She knows where to find me. Of course, there is another possibility.

John: And what is that?

Jill: She likes to drink.

John: You mean, a drinking problem? So you suspect she might not be in a condition to call you for a lunch date?

Jill: I don't know. It's possible.

John: It sounds like you're giving her the benefit of the doubt.

Jill: Well, of course I am, unlike some people I know. I mean, katherine's already written her off as a total alky. 3EA5C5EF.JPG

John: Katherine's already met your birth mother?

Jill: No, but you think that would stop the old bat from judging her? I'm telling you, I don't want katherine having anything to do with my birth mother, because the last thing that charlotte needs is to hear katherine chancellor's version of who I am.

John: Well, at least it's been interesting meeting her.

Jill: I guess so. It's been strange, I'll say that.

John: Well, "charlotte." It's a nice name.

Charlotte: Thank you, kind sir.

Anita: You can't expect me to forget this ever happened.

Brittany: Mom.

Anita: No, don't "mom" me. We didn't know if you were dead or alive. 3EA5C71F.JPG

Brittany: Look, I'm sorry, okay?

Anita: Why this need to disappear? Why wouldn't you come to us?

Brittany: Is that a serious question?

Anita: Honey, are we that unapproachable?

Brittany: (Sighs)

Anita: Oh. I know your father and i have made some mistakes, but if you were in trouble or thought you were--

Brittany: I didn't want to bother you.

Anita: Bother us? Oh, brittany... (sighs) well, guess that goes back to the kind of parents we've been.

Brittany: Goes back further than that.

Anita: What do you mean? 3EA5C74F.JPG

Brittany: Look... I know, okay?

Anita: You know what?

Brittany: You had to get married. I wasn't exactly planned.

Anita: Where on earth did you--

Brittany: I did the math a long time ago. You and dad got married six and a half months before I was born. You probably never thought I'd figure that out, but I did. And I figured something else out, too-- threreason why we never got along was because I was always in your way.

Mary: Californians? What?

Isabella: I'm sorry. I thought paul told you.

Mary: No, he most certainly did not! 3EA5C780.JPG

Isabella: Please!

Mary: When was this decided?

Isabella: A few days ago. We'll be settling in los angeles. You know I have family there.

Mary: I can't believe this. I truly cannot. I mean, we all knew you were underhanded--

Isabella: Stop. Stop right there.

Mary: You've obviously been working on my son, poisoning him against me. Now you think you've won. Well, you let me explain something to--

Isabella: Why don't i go firstmary?

Mary: Oh, and say what, isabella, that you're going to deny that this is all your idea?

Isabella: Yes, I am. And I won't say that I'm not deliriously happy about it, either. 3EA5C7A2.JPG

Mary: Oh, I just bet you are. There's only one problem. It's not going to happen, not once paul realizes how you've tricked him.

Isabella: Oh, mary, mary, mary, you have such a fertile imagination. You think there's a conspiracy under every flower pot. The only problem is, you don't have your facts straight. This moving to L.A., Moving far, far away from here, that was paul's idea 100%.

Lynne: Our theory about michael using isabella to break up paul and chris makes all the sense in the world.

Marissa: Okay. Let's just say we're right. How do we prove it?

Lynne: Can you imagine paul's reaction if we could? If he knew his precious wife was just paying back a favor she owed michael baldwin? I think he'd finally see her for the conniving witch she really is. 3EA5C7D1.JPG

Marissa: Yeah. I know you believe that paul and christine belong together.

Lynne: They had a great marriage.

Marissa: Realistically speaking, it's possible we'll never have enough to go to paul with what we suspect.

Lynne: Marissa, I don't care. I don't care if it takes years. I am not giving up. Somehow I will find proof. And when I do, paul will bririd of that awful woman for once--

Paul: All right, you two, in my office now.

Marissa: What?

Paul: I understand you paid a visit to my wife for the alleged purpose of trashing lynne. Is that true?

Marissa: Uh, no! No. I, um--

Paul: Save it. It was a fishing expedition, and you know it. And you, lynne, were involved. 3EA5C805.JPG

Lynne: I can explain, paul.

Paul: Yeah, well, don't bother. I didn't call you in to hear your excuses. I have news. You're gonna have to find somebody else's marriage to be obsessed over, because my family and i are leaving town for good. so, it was called cattle point. Of the nation, and subsequentlyne of th here. Your cruise director, ron

David: Our guest is rick warren, new york times best selling author the purpose driven life. Billy graham said read the book. It will guide you to greatness.

Rick warren: The deepest level of warship is praising god in spite of pain, thanking god during a trial, trusting him when you're tempted and loving him when he seems 3EA5C8BE.JPG

Jill: John, I would like you to meet my mother-- my real mother. Charlotte, this is john abbott.

Charlotte: Mr. Abbott, a pleasure to meet you.

John: Oh, call me john, please. And it's a pleasure meeting you. Uh, I didn't get your last name.

Jill: Ramsey. Charlotte ramsey.

John: Uh-huh.

Jill: I'm so glad you came by.

Charlotte: Oh, I should have been here before now.

Jill: Oh. Well, that's okay. I mean, it's been so many years. What's a few more days?

Charlotte: You, uh, you wouldn't have a cup of coffee lying around, would you?

Jill: Oh, well, of course we have. 3EA5C8E5.JPG

John: Oh, look, I will be happy to get you both a cup of coffee and give you a chance to chat.

Jill: Great, I would love that. Black, please? Thank you.

Charlotte: Yes, make mine black, too.

John: Certainly.

Charlotte: What a lovely man.

Jill: Yes. He and I were married once, and we have a son... who, by the way, is giving us fits right at the present moment.

Charlotte: Oh. Maybe he should have a word from his grandmother.

Jill: You know something? That might help. As a matter of fact, he's anxious to meet you.

Charlotte: Well, I'm available. 3EA5C908.JPG

Jill: Really?

Charlotte: Mmm.

Jill: Great. I'll set something up soon.

Charlotte: So... what is the problem?

Jill: Oh, the boy isis 18 years old, and he's hell-bent on marrying his girlfriend.

Charlotte: Oh. These days, that's young.

Jill: "These days"?

Charlotte: Well, people used to marry sooner.

Jill: Really? And, uh, how about you? Were you...

Charlotte: Mmm. More than once. I'm a battlecacarred veteran.

Jill: And when I came along, how old were you?

Charlotte: Well, I, um, I wasn't wearing a ring yet, if that's what you're asking. 3EA5C92F.JPG

Jill: You know, charlotte, I was beginning to wonder if you were interested in seeing me again.

Charlotte: Oh. Yes, I-I have a very busy life... but, of course, I wanted to see you.

Jill: Because our last visit was kind of brief.

Charlotte: Oh. Was it?

Anita: Brittany, I'm your mother. I love you. You were never in my way.

Brittany: You can word it any way you wa,, but it's true, isn't it? You and dad never had the kind of life that you wanted because of me. I held you back.

Anita: No, sweetheart, you--

Brittany: So when you ask me why I didn't come to you, there's my answer. Just the way it is. 3EA5C968.JPG

Brittany: Now it's your turn to answer me. What's up with you and dad?

Anita: Well, honey, we told you.

Brittany: I know what you told me, but something's obviously not right.

Anita: Your father and I are fine.

Brittany: Why won't you just be straight with me?

Anita: Brittany, your father and I... we're the same as always. But now that you're back, thank god. I mean, what a relief, especially in your condition.

Brittany: As in not pregnant? Why don't you just come out and say it? The last thing in the world you wanted was to be a grandmother. 3EA5C990.JPG

>>Ynynne: Paul, I don't--

Paul: You don't what? You don't understand? Somehow I think you do, lynne. In a couple of days, we will be leaving for los angeles. I already have a broker looking for a house, and we'll be staying in a rented apartment until we find one we like.

Lynne: So soon?

Paul: The decision is made. Why prolong it?

Lynne: This was isabella's idea.

Paul: Wrong. It was mine.

Lynne: Your wife jumped at the chance, though.

Paul: Why? Does that surprise you? She'll be around her parents after all these years, and ricky will be surrounded by family.

Lynne: That's not the only reason she's anxious to move. 3EA5C9B7.JPG

Paul: If you're suggesting that she will be anxious to be away from you and your negative attitude, can you blame her?

Lynne: Paul, there's more to it than that. If you would just listen to us.

Paul: I'm sure you're wondering how this is going to impact you. And despite your constant interference in my marriage, I feel sort of a responsibility to keep the two of you out of the unemployment line.

Lynne: What does that mean?

Paul: Andy richards will be taking over the agency. You will both be asked to stay in your current positions. A word to the wise, however-- try and keep your little noses out of his personal affairs. As nice a guy as andy is, I really doubt he will be as tolerant as I have been. Now that about covers it. So if you don't mind, I have a lot of work to do in a very short period of time. 3EA5C9E4.JPG

Marissa: You're leaving in a couple of days?

Paul: Yes.

Lynne: So much for finding proof.

Marissa: Looks like it's now or never. You're looking live at edmonton from our skytracker atop manulife place.Good afternoon. I'm lesley macdonald. Toronto's reputation worldwide as a sars hot-spot is growing. Now, a u- s-based luxury cruise line is not accepting bookings from toronto residents. And are you sleeping soundly these days? Neurologists say springing forward every april is becoming more difficult for people who already suffer from sleep deprivation. We'll have the story in health matters....

Brock: Didn't see that coming. 3EA5CB0E.JPG

Billy: I know it seems out of the blue.

Brock: You've already proposed to mac?

Billy: She said yes.

Brock: Ah. So you're not really asking for my permission.

Billy: No, sir. But I have a lot of respect for you, mr. Reynolds. Your approvamemeans a lot to me and to mac.

Brock: I see.

Billy: You're not exactly pleased about this.

Brock: No. No, I'm not. So you say you love my daughter.

Billy: Yes, sir, very much.

Brock: I know she feels the same way about you, but I don't think that's reason enough to get married, especially at your age.

Billy: We know we're young. 3EA5CB3F.JPG

Brock: Have you thought about what your life will be like?

Billy: Yes.

Brock: Have you really? Billy, both of you, you're in your first year of college. You can barely support yourselves. How... how do you plan to make ends meet?

Billy: We'll manage.

Brock: I don't think you realize how difficult marriage can be.

Billy: You're right, I don'T. But I'm ready to find out.

Brock: Why not find out in a few years?

Billy: Because that's what other people want. No disrespect, sir, but mac and I are tired of living our lives the way everyone else thinks we should. We're both adults. We can make our own choices. If we feel we're ready to make this commitment, then that's all that matters. 3EA5CB72.JPG

Kay: Oh, the nerve of that woman.

Mac: It's okay, grandma.

Kay: No, it is not okay.

Mac: I should be used to it by now. What did I expect, that jill would do cartwheels when she found out I was going to be her daughter-in-law?

Kay: Now you listen to me. I really don't give a flying fig what jill thinks about this marriage, but she has r right to say such cruel things to you.

Mac: You still haven't told me how you feel.

Kay: Well, mackenzie, I... I... I don't know. I don't know.

Mac: It must have crossed your mind that billy and i might get married some day.

Kay: Well, yes, some day, but I had no idea you were going to get engaged so soon. Um, all right. Now have the two of you talked about when you're goi to have a ceremony? 3EA5CBA4.JPG

Mac: Yes. We're planning to have it next month.

Kay: (Laughs nervously)

Mac: You think we're moving too fast.

Kay: Oh, well, I...

Mac: Grandma, billy and I have talked about all the reasons we should hold off but it only made us realize even more that this is what we want.

Kay: Oh, sweetheart.

Mac: I know this is a huge decision, grandma, but I'm ready for it. I love billy so much, and I can't wait to start my life with him. I am so happy. Please tell me that you're happy for me, too.

Jill: You don't remember the night we met?

Charlotte: Oh... yes, I remember. We were at that little italian place, and, uh, there was a lovely blonde. 3EA5CBD6.JPG

Jill: Gina.

Charlotte: Yes, such a nice lady. And you and I had a nice little chat.

Jill: And then you left to go visit some friends.

Charlotte: I hope that didn't hurt your feelings.

Jill: Maybe a tiny bit.

Charlotte: But I'm sorry. I do have my little circle of friends to stay in touch with.

Jill: I understand. So you met them at a bar?

Charlotte: Anything... anything wrong with that?

Jill: No, no, no. It's my little home away from home. Like the tv show, you know, "where everybody knows your name."

Jill: I understand. Charlotte? 3EA5CC04.JPG

Charlotte: Yes, dear.

Jill: Would it be all right if I asked you for your phone number and an address?

Charlotte: Oh, it's okay for you to ask.

John: Well, here we go.

Charlotte: Oh!

Jill: Oh, thank you, john.

John: Here you are.

Charlotte: I really needed a little pick-me-up.

John: So, charlotte, you know, your name rings a bell. Were you from genoa city?

Charlotte: Uh, yes, hometown girl.

John: You went to school here?

Charlotte: Uh... yeah, high school.

John: What about college?

Jill: John, would you mind? I'd like a little private time with my mother. 3EA5CC29.JPG

John: No, of course. Well, charlotte, it's a pleasure to meet you, and I do hope to see you again.

Charlotte: Yes, I hope so, too. Take care.

Jill: Thank you, john. John is such a sweetheart. He and I have maintained a very civil relationship over the years. You know, we work together and we raise our son together and-- charlotte! What are you doing?

Charlotte: What does it look like? Oh. Don't be upset, dear. It's just a little something for my nerves.

Jill: What's wrong with your neeses?

Charlotte: Nothing, thanks to my little friend here. 3EA5CD3A.JPG

Anita: Let's not pretend this is about me. Your life was almost ruined.

Brittany: Boy, you know, it's funny. Everyone seems to feel that way except one person.

Anita: Raul, no doubt.

Brittany: Yes, and it's really made me appreciate how much it means to have someone support me no matter what... knowing that they're committed to making things work, even if it's going to be hard or scary or strange.

Anita: The perfect attitude to welcome a baby.

Brittany: You're missing my point.

Anita: No, on the contrary, sweetheart, I think I understand perfectly. You were probably very moved by your boyfriend's reaction. I'm sure raul wouldn't have minded becoming a pa.. but you don't feel the same way, do you? 3EA5CD69.JPG

Brittany: Mother...

Anita: Oh, I know, the man is a saint. He loves you with all of his being. But the life he wants for the two of you is not what you want. I assume he proposed?

Brittany: Of course he did.

Anita: And that probably scared you more than the thought of being pregnant.

Brittany: Look, if you're trying to be insulting--

Anita: No, honey, just honest. You are so different than your friends... billy and mackenzie living in a romantic fog, ignoring the rest of the world. And I'm sure raul would like to be in the same place. But not you. You know there is so much more to life than being smothered by some ardent suitor. Think you're gonna find it very difficult living with all of them. You wait and see. I think you're gonna find yourself very claustrophobic. 3EA5CDAD.JPG

Brittany: You think you know me so well. You don'T.

Anita: Whatever, sweetheart. (Cell phone rings) (ring)

Brittany: Hello?

Raul: Hey. I love you.

Brittany: Hi.

Raul: Listen, I know you're with your parents, so I'm not gonna keep you long. I just wanted to call you and tell you I was thinking about you.

Brittany: Thanks.

Raul: Hope they're not messing with your head too much, baby.

Brittany: I'm okay.

Raul: Ah, well, you hang in the.E. I'm crazy abouyou. Hurry up and get over here. I'm waiting.

Brittany: Bye. 3EA5CDDD.JPG

Anita: Three guesses who that was.

Brittany: Don'T.

Anita: I won't say a word. Not a word, sweetheart.

Mary: Well, if you think that I'm deluded enough to buy that...

Isabella: Don't take my word, mary. Ask paul. He'll tell you.

Mary: Oh, that he's going to uproot his family and move a thousand miles away?

Isabella: Actually, it's 2,000, which is almost far enough.

Mary: Oh, you smug little--

Isabella: Careful, mary. Careful. We don't want ricky to remember his grandma as someone who says rude, ugly things. Since that's all he'll have of you is memories.

Mary: Is that a threat? 3EA5CE06.JPG

Isabella: No, you can come visit any time you like. As long as you can keep a civil tongue in your head.

Mary: Believe me, I'll be talking to my son about this.

Isabella: Enjoy. Cacan you believe that, ricky? Grandma didn't even say good-bye.

Paul: What? What do you want? You're on the wrong side of the door.

Lynne: There's something you need to know, paul.

Marissa: This is important.

Paul: Oh, god. You know, if you're planning another attack on isabella, I'm not in the mood.

Lynne: Paul, please. Before you go and give up everything for this woman, hear us out.

Paul: "This woman," as you call her, is my wife, lynne. And I'm not gonna stand here and listen to any more of your put downs. 3EA5CE35.JPG

Marissa: We have uncovered something new.

Lynne: There's a link between isabella and michael baldwin.

Marissa: From years ago.

Paul: You know what? I don't want to hear it!

Lynne: You have to hear it, paul!

Marissa: Baldwin and your wife have deliberately kept this from you.

Lynne: We don't have all the pieces put together yet--

Paul: I am warning you--

Lynne: Paul, these two have been conspiring against you from the day she came to town!

Paul: You know, that's it. I've had enough! This is the same soapbox you have been standing on since the beginning. It's nothing but rumor and innuendo.

Lynne: Paul, it's not-- 3EA5CE51.JPG

Paul: No, you listen to me! One last time-- my wife and I have a very strong marriage! We are moving to california! We are going to raise my son there, where he can be near his grandparents. That is it! That's the end of the story!

Lynne: Paul, don'T.

Paul: You and I have been through a lot together. We have been down a long road. I certainly hope we can part on good terms, but if we can't, so be it. Now, both of you, get the hell out of my office. I have work to do.

Marissa: What are you gonna do?

Lynne: I don't know. I can't stand by and do nothing. We can't let this happen, marissa. We can't! 3EA5CF61.JPG

Brock: So have you told your parents?

Billy: Yeah.

Brock: They didn't take it very well?

Billy: To say the least.

Brock: Doesn't that make you have second thoughts?

Billy: If you're suggesting we put off the marriage until they come around, that's never gonna happen. At least not where my mom's concerned.

Brock: Jill only wants what's best for you.

Billy: She has to let me live my own life.

Brock: That's not always easy when you're a parent, billy. One day, you're gonna find that out. Well, I should get going. Promise me, you'll think about what I said.

Billy: We're not changing our minds, sir. The wedding's next month. 3EA5CF87.JPG

Brock: Next month?

Billy: We'd like you to be there.

Brock: I'll have to get back to you. I'sosorry, billy, I know you're hoping to get my blessing, but I can't give it to you. Not today.

Billy: I'm sorry, too.

Kay: Mackenzie, I know how you feel about billy, and it warms my heart that you have found someone who brings you so much joy. Just cherish it while it lasts.

Mac: It's gonna last forever.

Kay: Well, as far as you know.

Mac: No, grandma. What we have is for real. I know it is. Listen, after everything I've been through, I wouldn't rush into marriage because I want to live out some romantic fantasy. I want to do this because I'm devoted to billy... now and forever. Grandma, I know in my heart that he's the one for me. There's nothing we can't get through as long as we're together. 3EA5CFCD.JPG

Kay: Don't know, really. I don't know, it'S... it's gonna take some time for me to adjust to this idea-- my only granddaughter being a married woman.

Mac: Wait, grandma, are you saying...

Kay: Yes, of course. Congratulations, my darling. I am so, so happy for you.

Mac: Thank you so much, grandma.

Kay: My little mackenzie. I love you.

Mac: Grandma, I love you, too.

Jill: And then, after my dad left, things got really difficult. You know what? I had to go to work. My brothers were already in college.

Charlotte: College? You know something? That college stuff is overrated. You worked. That's good. You learn a lot more about how to take care of yourself by just doing it. 3EA5D008.JPG

Jill: I suppose.

Charlotte: Damn right. You don't see any college courses on getting by in life. It's all called something fancy.

Jill: Charlotte.

Charlotte: It's getting down to the nitty-gritty. That's what you need to learn-- how to deal with the real.

Jill: Charlotte.

Charlotte: What are you doing?

Jill: Don't drink any more.

Charlotte: Okay. I'll put it away if it bothers you. I can wait.

Jill: I don't mean don't drink any more right now. I mean, you should stop. And I will help you. I will do everything I can to help you.

Charlotte: Wait a minute, little girl. What makes you think i want your help? What the hell makes you think I want to stop?
