Chris: So that's what you're thinking? When I showed up at your doorstep as kelly, I was expecting to learn something dark and sinister about isabella. 3E84DB10.JPG

Paul: Well, chris, I don't know what you were G. That's what I'm trying to find out. You have to admit it's kind of weird-- coming in disguise to seemy wife and asking her a lot of questions about her ex-husband.

Chris: I don't know her that well. I was curious.

Paul: Well, isa and james have been apart for years.

Chris: So I'm told. Paul: Well, are you saying you think there is still some connection between the two?

Chris: I'm saying I don't know what to make of that woman.

Paul: So you don't trust her?

Chris: Would you in my position?

Paul: I'll ask you again. What were you looking for?

Chris: I don't know. Paul: So I take it that whatever it was, you didn't find anything?: You must have talked to her. What did she say? 3E84DB3A.JPG

Paul: She had no idea at all what kelly simmons would be after.

Chris: Yet, you're here asking me questions. Why? Do you think she's lying to you? (Doorbell rings) (ring)

Isabella: Paul, are you gonna get...

Michael: What's the matter with you? You look like you've seen a ghost.

Isabella: Are you crazy? What the hell are you doing here?

Michael: Where the hell is he?!

Isabella: I don't know, but you need to leave.

Michael: What do you mean you don't know?

 Isabella: I was taking a shower. I guess he's gone out. 3E84DB69.JPG

Michael: You guess he's gone. Out where?

Isabella: To the store or jogging-- he does that sometimes.

Michael: At least, that's what he tells you.

Isabella: What is that supposed to mean?

Michael: I found out something tonight... something ugly and sick about the man you're married to. Something you should know.

 Isabella: You're scaring me.

Michael: You should be scared. You're living with a maniac. (Door opens)

Jack: About time you got home.

Ashley: I have a bone to pick with you.

 Jack: Hey, sis, well, obviously--

Ashley: You hired drucilla as the spokesperson for our new line? 3E84DBA0.JPG

Jack: Okay, look, I was gonna call you about that.

Ashley: I made my feelings very clear.

Jack: I understand you have some reservations.

 Ashley: For good reason.

Jack: Would you let me finish? I understand where you might have misgivings about hiring drucilla. I honestly feel the advantages of having her on our team far outweigh the disadvantages.

 Ashley: I totally disagree.

Jack: What, you think she's going to leak something to newman?

Ashley: She's got a bad habit of flapping her gums. And with the stakes this high, it could be a disaster.

Jack: Ash, believe me I understand your concerns--

Ashley: Well, obviously you don'T. Do I have to remind you she's already blown it for us once big time? She told neil that we were interested in acquiring a new company. Because of her, satine was stolen fromndnder us. 3E84DBC3.JPG

Jack: Yes, and we learned a lesson from that.

Ashley: That's right, jack, that drucilla can't be trusted.

Jack: What happened with satine is not going to happen again.

Ashley: How can you possibly be so sure?

Jack: Because we will take steps to see that see that it doesn't happen again. What is it they say, "forewarned is forearmed"?

 Ashley: Why are you smiling?

Jack: Well, 'cause I'm hoping victor's gonna react exactly as you have.

 Ashley: What does that mean?

Jack: Yes, newman enterprises pulled a fast one on us. And, yes, they probably have drucilla to thank for that, but if they think that's a weakness they can capitalize on again, well, we might have a little surprise for them. 3E84DC0A.JPG

 Ashley: Okay. What's going on?

 Jack: Whatever do you mean?

Ashley: Are you thinking of using drucilla to our advantage?

 Jack: Well, I did--

Ashley: 'Cause I got bad news for you. Just because she lives with neil does not mean that we're gonna get inside information.

Jack: I am not suggesting we get drucilla to spy on her boyfriend. Besides, victor is going to be on the lookout for that-- I've seen to it.

 Ashley: What does that mean?

Jack: Well, I paid e e old boy a little visit.

 Ashley: Oh, no.

Jack: Actually, it went quite well. I dropped a few hints suggesting that maybe drucilla's connection to neil might not be the best thing for newman enterprises. I'm sure he knew I was bluffing, but, well, the seed was planted. 3E84DC2E.JPG

Ashley: And what was the point of that?

Jack: What, you've never heard the term "led astray"?

Ashley: Okay, look, don't play any games with me. Just spit it out.

Jack: Okay, fine. If we've learned one thing from this whole satine episode, it is that drucilla has a big mouth. When she gets excited, she tends to blab.

Ashley: Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

Jack: So that anything we tell her might eventually get to newman.

 Ashley: Precisely, jack, so what--

 Jack: Including bogus information.

 Ashley: What kind of information?

Jack: I'm still working on that. It's kind of an interesting idea though, don't you think? Victor thinks we're headed in one direction and-- 3E84DC54.JPG

 Ashley: We're headed in another.

 Jack: What do you think?

 Ashley: Interesting idea.

Jack: Oh, believe me, this is just the kind of poison victor newman swallows whole. ] on saturdays morning edition, we'll take you to the annual farm and ranch show at

Ashley: Seeing you scheme like this just reminds me of how cutthroat you can be.

Jack: Yeah, great, isn't it? Nice to get those old juices flowing. Feel like my old self again.

Ashley: Frankly, I find it rather unsettling.

Jack: If you're gonna start into the speeches about playing fair, please, we're not kids in a playground anymore. This is business. This is family business, and jabot is up for the fight of its-- 3E84DD34.JPG

Ashley: Okay, I didn't say that, all right? I didn't say we were going to back off.

 Jack: What are you saying?

Ashley: You're so hell-bent on this one-upping of victor that it clouds your judgment, jack. It's kind of scary how consumed you get with this quest for revenge, and I don't like to see this side of you. I really hate it.

Jack: I will admit that from time to time I have let victor newman get to me a little.

 Ashley: A little?

Jack: What can I say? This guy gets under my skin like nobody's business, but keep something in mind-- victor will not be at the helm on this particular venture. Neil and victoria will be running the show. 3E84DD4F.JPG

 Ashley: It's still victor's company.

Jack: Yes, but you talked about competition clouding the judgment. Try to remember that neil and victoria are not immune to that-- as a matter of fact, that's actually the delicious irony in all of this-- they're celebrating right now their great victory, a victory that could well be their undoing.

 Ashley: What does that mean?

Jack: Well, I think you'll agree with me that the two of them are feeling pretty good about themselves right now.

 Ashley: Yeah, I'd say so.

Jack: Yeah, they stole satine out from under us. Probably thinking it's smooth sailing from here on.

Ashley: What are you suggesting, that they're overconfident? 3E84DD72.JPG

Jack: I think they might be.

Ashley: Well, maybe you should think about this-- now that they have acquired satine, they already have a major force in the african-american cosmetics field. They have a name, they have a proven product line, and they have a customer base to build on. You tie that in with brash & sassy, they have every reason to be confident right now, jack.

Jack: I agree with you to a point.

Ashley: Why can't you just admit that this was a triumph for newman enterprises?

Jack: Because I am looking at the big picture. Yes, they have satine, and satine has a number of products. They all need updating. 3E84DD91.JPG

You have the expertise. We have the people to pull this off. They don't!

 Ashley: Are you finished?

Jack: No, I'm not finished. You talk about infrastructure-- what do they have? Brash & sassy? It's a little teen line. They focused on one market all this time. They're out of their league, ash.

Ashley: Okay, okay, I see your point. Just don't let yourself get ovcoconfident. Because neil and victoria are both very savvy businesspeople and these challenges are not insurmountable.

Jack: Well, not right now. But then you haven't allowed me to unveil my coup de grce.

Ashley: And what might that be?

Jack: My beautiful wife phyllis. 3E84DDBB.JPG

Phyllis: Cody, can I please, um, have some black coffee? I'll be out there.

Diane: Phyllis, no, no, no, no, no. Just go away.

Phyllis: Are you sure? Looks like you could use some company... or a sweater. Brr! It's chilly in here, cold. Those things of yours must be icicles.

 Diane: Are you finished?

Phyllis: How's it working for ya? Giving out your number left and right?

Diane: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Phyllis: You have no idea what I'm talking about? Really? You couldn't be more obvious if you tried, diane.

 Diane: Obvious?

Phyllis: Yes, obvious. But I'm surprised you picked this place. Isn't it a little wholesome for you? I don't--I mean, if you're gonna go cruising. 3E84DDF1.JPG

 Diane: I am not cruising.

Phyllis: Okay, trolling. Is that a better word? Oh, props. That's good. That's good, because you don't want to be too eager. I mean, desperation, that's gotta stink.

Diane: Yeah, well, so do people who've worn out their welcome.

Phyllis: Witty repartee, that's good, too. Men love that.

Diane: Oh, wait, wait. So you're giving out advice now?

Phyllis: I should. I should give out advice.

 Diane: Oh, please.

Phyllis: Yeah, who better to give advice than me? I mean, everything is going great for me. I'm on top of the world. I have a great job, great marriage, phenomenal sex,

phenomenal sex, by the way. Not to mention an adorable little boy that I get to raise along with my husband, who-- I don't even know where to start with jack. I mean, he's so loving and attentive. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. 3E84DE1B.JPG

You, on the other hand, it's gotta be lonely, especially since you don't have jack anymore. Honey, you need to get out. You need to find a man. Must be difficult, you know, with your age and all.

Diane: If you're implying that I'm too old to find someone--

Phyllis: Isn't that why you're here at the coffeehouse instead of a bar? Isn't it? I mean, you're looking for a college boy, right? Some nubile flesh to snuggle up to. There are plenty of them here, honey. Have at it. Ah, thank you. Right, cody?

 Cody: What's that?

 Diane: Phyllis--

Phyllis: My friend here is available, and she's looking for a man. So do you have any hottie you can introduce her to? Oh, oh, wait, wait, cody, you're a strapping young thing. What do you think, diane? What do you think?  3E84DF4E.JPG

Paul: Do you think isabella is lying to me about something?

Chris: You tell me. What do you think?

Paul: Well, I had planned to reveal the truth about kelly simmons, but I mentioned the name to isabella, and she got all upset. Now why would that cause that kind of a reaction?

Chris: You're asking me how that woman's mind works?

Paul: No, I'm asking what you were after, and why at the mere mention of kelly, isabella got so edgy.

Chris: So she still doesn't know kelly is me?

 Paul: No.

Chris: Paul, I don't have any answers for you. I mean, my god, I'm not a mind reader, and I certainly don't understand isabella. 3E84DF72.JPG

Paul: Well, chris, I have to get on with my life, and I certainly can't ignore what you did. I'm sure you have a very legitimate reason for all this cloak and dagger stuff. But I have to know what it is. Do you think isabellahas something in her past? She's hiding some dark secret?

Isabella: Look, if this is about christine and the night of the baptism--

Michael: Oh, oh, yes, it sure as hell is about that night. You see, chris and paul didn't just sleep together like we were led to believe, it was just a matter of two people caught up in a moment of passion.

 Isabella: I know.

Michael: What do you mean, you know? 3E84DF9F.JPG

 Isabella: Paul confessed.

Michael: Paul confe-- paul told you--he told you that he forced himself on christine?

 Isabella: Yes.

Michael: What, and you still live here? You're still in this apartment?

Isabella: Shh! In case you've forgotten, I love paul.

 Michael: For god's sake.

Isabella: We are trying to work through these issues.

Michael: Oh, you can't be serious. You're trying to forgive him?

 Isabella: Yes, I'm trying.

Michaelalall right, okay. Okay, then... then that's probably for the best. You just keep him away from my fiancée, or I swear to god he'll answer to me. 3E84DFD5.JPG

Diane: Just ignore her, would you please?

Cody: Well, can I get either of you ladies anything else?

Phyllis: Besides your phone number? Here, keep the change, cody, please.

 Cody: Thank you.

Phyllis: Sure. He's a hottie. So cute. Couldn't you just eat him up with a spoon?

Diane: Phyllis, phyllis, always the same catty bitch.

Phyllis: Ohh! Ohh. Where you going?

Diane: My coffee's cold. I'm going to get a fresh cup. Is that okay?

Phyllis: Hey, you know what? Why don't you get me some sugar while you're up? Unless it's too much trouble.

Diane: As a matter of fact, it'd be no trouble at all. You know what? You can have some of mine. 3E84E009.JPG

 Phyllis: (Gasps) good girl.

Ashley: And just what does your wife have to do with any of this?

Jack: Well, for starters, she's just been rehired at newman enterprises.

 Ashley: Are you serious?

Jack: Yeah, interesting, don't you think? They'd lost all trust in her, and they rehired her.

Ashley: Oh, no, I see that machiavellian gleam in your eye. What are you thinking?

Jack: Well, I'm thinking I have to use my considerable skills to convince my wife to dump newman and come back to jabot.

Ashley: How are you gonna pull that off?

Jack: Well, carefully. So far, I've tri o once, and she shot me down, but I guess I'll have to try harder. Actually, that's where you come in. 3E84E037.JPG

 Ashley: Why me?

Jack: Yeah, I need you and bradley to stop by here tomorrow for breakfast.

 Ashley: You have a plan.

Jack: Well, of course I have a plan. Do you want to hear it or not? (knock on door) (knock on door)

 Andy: Diane, you in there?

 Andy: Hey.

 Diane: How are you, andy?

Andy: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What's going on here? Are you okay?

Diane: No, no, I'm miserable. What else is new?

Andy: Okay, lks like I came by at a good time here.

Diane: I have had the worst night.

 Andy: Why? What happened?

Diane: Well, I was at the coffeehouse. I was minding my own business, reading a magazine, and then phyllis plops down at my table and just--ugh! 3E84E0F3.JPG

 Andy: Sounds like phyllis.

Diane: That woman is so hateful. She's so nasty. She has jack. She has my son. She has the life that I want more than anything, but is she content? Does she show a little class? No, she has to come over and rub it in my face, just humiliate me in public.

Andy: Diane, I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Diane: Well, I made it out of there without falling apart, but now I'm just... I was about to crawl under the covers and just cry myself to sleep when you showed up.

 Andy: I'm glad I did.

Diane: I'm really lucky to have a friend like you. You're my one and only. God, I just-- I just feel so alone. 3E84E131.JPG

Andy: Come here. You are not alone.

Diane: Andy, what has happened to my life? Why are things like this? I know what phyllis would say-- say that I deserve it.

 Andy: Just forget phyllis.

Diane: Do you think this is karma?

 Andy: No.

Diane: I mean, is this what people are talking about, some sort of cosmic payback for all of my sins?

Andy: I don't think blaming yourself and wallowing around in regret is gonna help right now.

Diane: Well, then what is? You need to tell me what is going to help because I can't do this anymore. I can'T.

 Jack: You are here!

 Phyllis: Yes, I am. 3E84E173.JPG

Jack: I thought I heard someone go up the back staircase a little earlier.

Phyllis: Yes, that was me. I wanted to get up here real quick. I had coffee all over, and, um, I wanted to change--

Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, what do you mean you had coffee all over you?

Phyllis: I ran into diane at the coffeehouse, and we kind of got into it.

Jack: Diane threw coffee at you?

Phyllis: Yes, she did. She did. It was fine. It was cold. I handled it.

Jack: What does that mean, you handled it? You threw coffee back at her?

Phyllis: No, I did not do that. I just sat there and let her walk away. 3E84E195.JPG

 Jack: Really?

Phyllis: Really. I think it's finally sunk in what a pathetic loser diane is, and I'm going to take the high road from here on out.

 Jack: I'm glad you are.

 Phyllis: How are you doing?

 Jack: I'm okay.

Phyllis: Okay, I called you a couple times, left a message on your voice mail. You didn't return my call. I figured you were still mad.

Jack: About you going back to work at newman enterprises?

Phyllis: Uh-H.. I was also wondering if you were gonna show up tonight, but here you are. So what does that mean?

Jack: Does that mean that I'm willing to just sweep it all away like it never happened? I don't think so. 3E84E1C0.JPG

Isabella: I wish I could keep paul away from christine, but I'm afraid I can't do that.

Michael: Lock him up if you have to.

Isabella: I can't control who my husband sees.

Michael: Does it irk you in the least that he attacked christine?

Isabella: Of course it does. But I've spent too many sleepless nights wondering how this could have happened

Michael: It happened because he couldn't keep his pants zipped.

Isabella: But if I could've done something to prevent it...

Michael: No, isabella, it's not your fault.

Isabella: You know, nevertheless, I believe it's all out in the open, and paul has apologized, and now we have a chance at working at our marriage. 3E84E1E1.JPG

Michael: Okay, all right. To each his own, I guess.

Isabella: You know, I know this might be hard for you to understand, but paul and I share something very special, something worth fighting for.

Michael: I know, I know, I know, your child.

Isabella: No, it's more than that. It's something I can't explain.

Michael: What is it with the women I know? I just don't understand the lengths you will go to to keep a relationship going, no matter how ghastly.

Isabella: You know, there's one thing that bothers me though.

 Michael: What's that?

Isabella: That woman kelly simmons-- paul was asking a lot of questions about her tonight. 3E84E20D.JPG

Michael: That's right, you don't know.

I isabella: Know what?

Michael: The mysterious kelly simmons... she was, um, christine.

Phyllis: So yr r feelings haven't changed. 3E84E331.JPG

Jack: Did you really think they would?

Phyllis: Well, I thought maybe they would since you had time to process this.

Jack: What's to process here? I have serious concerns about your working for newman enterprises again. If you don't get that, I--

Phyllis: I get it. I just think you're being ridiculous.

Jack: You know what? I don't want to argue, okay?

Phyllis: I don't want to argue either.

Jack: Okay, let's drop the subject for tonight--

Phyllis: Okay, let's drop the subject. I just have one more thing to say.

 Jack: Okay, go.

Phyllis: I have my reasons for keeping j job. Okay? And I would think at the very least you would respect that. I mean, it is my life. 3E84E357.JPG

 Jack: What about our life?

Phyllis: Don't do that to me. You know our life matters to me. Don't--jack, don't do that. We've always kept our business and personal lives separate. I don't put up walls. I love you. Why is this in issue now?!

Jack: Because suddenly the stakes are different. They've changed. They're higher than they've ever been. My family's company is in for the fight of its life. I have to act, whicisis precisely what I've done.

Andy: You're having a bad night, huh?

Diane: They're all like this. Ever since phyllis and jack took my son away. How am I supposed to recover? How am I supposed to put my life back together again when it's just... pain? 3E84E38D.JPG

Andy: You reach out. You ask for help. Ask god to take it away.

Diane: You know I'm not a religious person.

Andy: You don't have to be. It's not a club. No one's excluded. You just-- you just gotta ask, diane.

Diane: You make it sound so easy.

Andy: It's the easiest thing in the world. Everything happens for a reason. I've always believed that, diane, and something-- something good is gonna come out of this. You wait and see.

 Diane: You're always so positive.

 Andy: It's all about attitude.

Diane: Trying to find that silver lining, hmm?

Andy: That's a cliché, but you know what? It works. Okay, if you get in the habit, changing your thinking... 3E84E3C5.JPG

Diane: You know, you give me that same message over and over. And it never sinks in, but you don't give up. No matter how ubborn I am or how much I resist, you always seem to be there for me.

Andy: Maybe there's a reason for that, too.

Isabella: If that's a joke, it's not funny.

Michael: No, no, no, no. No joke.

Isabella: You're saying kelly simmons and christine williams are the same person?

Michael: Yup, yup. Big surprise, huh?

Isabella: Why--why would christine do something so off the wall?

Michael: You'll have to ask her that.

Isabella: Well, who else knows? 3E84E3FC.JPG

 Michael: Lynne.

Isabella: Then it's possible that paul knows.

Michael: So what if he does?

Isabella: He was asking all those questions. What if he was trying to trip me up or something? Did chris say paul knew?

Michael: The subject never came up.

Isabella: Oh, my god. My god, this is... he knows something. Why else would he be grilling me like that? Oh, this can't be happening. This can't be happening, not when everything was just starting to settle down, michael. What am I going to do? What the hell am I gonna do?!

Chris: I don't know what to think about your wife. I truly don'T. You said earlier that things are better between the two of you? 3E84E426.JPG

 Paul: Yeah.

Chris: And that's what you want?

Paul: You know, chris, there has really been way too much trauma. And life is too short to keep hurting the people you love.

Chris: I feel the same way.

Paul: I want to move on.

 Chris: Can you?

Paul: Well, that's why I keep asking, what were you trying to accomplish with this whole disguise thing? I mean, what were you trying to uncover?

Chris: Whatever it was, I didn't find it.

Paul: But you still have suspicions.

Chris: I'm just gonna let it go. I don't want to turn your life upside down. And if what you want is a future with isabella... 3E84E454.JPG

Paul: I so regret what I did to you.

Chris: I know. But it happened, and it's over.

Paul: You know, you never admitted it, but that's part of the reason you came back in disguise, isn't it? You didn't want to have to confront me. You weren't sure what you felt or what you were going to feel.

Chris: No, you're right. I wasn't sure what I felt.

Paul: Well, what about now, chris? What do you feel now?

Diane: Is this the part where I blush?

Andy: Beats the heck out of crying.

Diane: Well, that's true. Seriously, andy--

Andy: You kw w what I was thinking about this morning?

 Diane: What?

Andy: Us. Our past. And I was wondering what it would be like if we'd been together, I mean, working on our relationship all those years. 3E84E580.JPG

Diane: Well, I'm sure I would have screwed it up somehow. Nice. I seem to have the kiss of death when it comes to relationships.

Andy: Come on. Come on, no.

Diane: Look at my track record.

Andy: But the kiss of death? I seem to recall kissing you plenty of times. There's not a scratch on me.

 Diane: No?

 Andy: Not a one.

Diane: There must be a few scars. How could there not be?

Andy: You want proof? Kiss me. Come on. Come on. No, no, kiss me now. Come on.

 Diane: Andy, that's--

Andy: Look, I'm made of tough stuff. Nothing to worry about. 3E84E5B4.JPG

 Diane: Famous last words.

 Andy: Kiss me.

Diane: All right. Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Diane: Should I call an ambulance?

 Andy: Uh, maybe.

Diane: Thank you for being here... and for cheering me up.

 Andy: It's my pleasure.

Andy: (Sighs) okay. Okay. I gotta get out of here. I got a big day tomorrow.

Diane: Have a good night. Sleep tight.

 Andy: Yeah. Good night.

 Phyllis: What are you doing?

 Jack: Nothing.

Phyllis: No, jack, tell me what you're doing.

Jack: Know what? I don't want to talk about business anymore tonight, okay? Okay? Deal? 3E84E62C.JPG

 Phyllis: What's that?

 Jack: It's a photo album.

 Phyllis: It's a new one.

Jack: No, you haven't seen this one before. When we were little, my dad gave each of us kids a photo album-- you know, a chronicle of the highlights of our lives, birthdays, christmases, graduations. Traci d d ashley kept theirs downstairs. I kept mine up in this room. I looked at it all the time.

Phyllis: Why are you telling me this?

Jack: I liked looking at it not because it was pictures of me at different stages of my life. I liked looking at it 'cause my dad was very careful to make sure all the pictures were of family. And at the times I was most lost, when I was most alone, I would look at these pictures, and I would realize I was surrounded by love. I was surrounded by family. I was lucky to be an abbott. Anyway, this one is yours. 3E84E675.JPG

 Jack: Go ahead.

Phyllis: I'm in all of these.

Jack: Yeah. Yeah, you and other abbotts. I was gonna fill the ole thing. I only got a few pages. I'll keep adding to it. But I wanted you to have it now. I want you to know you're part of this family in a very real way. Look, I know it shouldn't even matter what goes on outside this house. The only thing that's really important is that I love you, that you know I love you. And you know, I thank god every day that you're in my life.

Phyllis: I don't know what to say. I mean, this is so sweet. You have no idea how much this means to me. I--I'm so... I'm so bless t to be a part of your family. I mean, 'cause you know I'm not--I'm not close to my own family, you know. You guys have all welcomed me into your lives, and I just feel that it's like I'M.. like I'm coming home. 3E84E6D9.JPG

Jack: No, no. It's not like you're coming home. You are home. You're home right now.

Michael: All right, look, what's wrong with you? Do you need to be hysterical right now?

 Isabella: I can't help it. I--

Michael: Listen to me. It doesn't matter if paul knows. He would have found out sooner or later.

Isabella: No, you didn't hear him, michael. The way he was hammering me with those questions, they can only mean that he's suspicious.

Michael: He's a detective. That's what detectives do. They ask questions.

Isabella: Why wouldn't he tell me that he knew kelly was christine? 3E84E7CE.JPG

Michael: Look, u u know, forget all about that, isabella. You said that your and paul's relationship was going well. Same with chris and I.

Isabella: What does that have to do with anything?

Michael: You want things to stay that way, don't you?

 Isabella: Of course I do.

Michael: Well, then for god's sakes, leave well enough alone. You keep working on your relationship. I'll keep working on my relatishship. But whatever you do, do not confront paul on this. It is not necessary.

Isabella: How can you say that? He--if paul was purposely deceiving me and pretending not to know that kelly was chris, chris was ke-- he'd only be doing that for one reason. 3E84E7EE.JPG

 Michael: What reason?

Isabella: He wants answers to my past--the exact thing that you and I have been fighting like demons to prevent.

Michael: Please let that go. Keep your mouth shut. If you confront paul on this, you will be opening a can of worms you do not want to deal with. Look, so--look. You be a good girl. You pull yourself together. And just be glad that I didn't get my hands on paul. Just tell him that he got a free pass this time. But if he has half a brain, he'll stay as far away from my fiancé as he possibly can, okay?

Chris: We've traveled a long and rocky road together.

 Paul: Yeah, we have. 3E84E82E.JPG

Chris: Things have happened that I still don't believe and don't completely understand.

Paul: I hope you can believe this. Whatever I did, and how I lost control-- and believe me, I will regret that for the rest of my life-- that I never, ever felt anything for you but love. I mean, there was anger, and there was rage, but underneath it all there was love.

 Chris: I know.

Paul: And that I could let myself get into a position like that--

Chris: I know, but I wasn't entirely blameless. My own feelings were so confused.

 Paul: I should have stopped.

Chris: Don't, okay? You're just-- you're torturing yourself, and you're torturing me. 3E84E86C.JPG

 Paul: I don't mean to.

Paul: Um... I know things will never be the same.

Chris: No. We have no future together. We share a past, and much of it... actually, most of it was really beautiful. I just want to hold on to that.

Paul: I know. That's all I can hope for.

Chris: So you gonna be okay?

Paul: Yeah. Don't worry about me.

Chris: I know, but I do.

Paul: I worry about you, too. So... you know, if you need anything--

Chris: I know. I will. Just take care of yourself, okay?

 Chris: See you.

 Chris: Good-bye, paul.
