Nikki: Does wally know you're gonna be late?
Victor: I don't intend to be late.
Nikki: Taking your sweet time getting out of here.
Victor: That's because I want a chance to talk to our daughter before I leave for chicago.
Nikki: No, victor. Don't do that.
Victor: What do you mean, no, don't do that? What do you mean?
Nikki: Victoria agreed to stay here last night only if she didn't have to run into you.
Victor: Well, isn't that charming?
Nikki: So you're gonna be home tonight, or is the trip gonna run over?
Victor: What's the matter
with you?
Why do you I get the feeling
that you'd prefer
that I'd stay over?
Victor: Obviously, I failed to reassure you that I know nothing about having provoked brad carlton.
Nikki: Yes, so you claim.
Victor: What do you mean, so I claim? I told you that. Isn't that enough? Why all this tension?
Sharon: What a wonderful surprise it was finding you on my doorstep. Seems like forever since I've seen you.
Kay: Uh, I bet you thought I'd fallen off the face of the earth. Thank you.
Sharon: I'm sure you heard about nicholas and me.
Kay: I'm aware you're separated, yes.
Sharon: Aware... from nikki?
Because I can just imagine
the spin she put on things.
Kay: It's my understanding you had an affair.
Sharon: An affair.
Kay: Mm-hmm.
Sharon: It was a one-time thing, when I thought nicholas was seeing another woman.
Kay: Darling, I'm not here to gossip. I'm not even here to pass judgment. I just thought I could help, perhaps, somehow. Hey... where are things standing with you and nicholas now? That is, if you feel comfortabletalking about it.
Sharon: Uh... we're at a total impasse. Nick won't budge. He just doesn't seem to be able to get over what happened.
Kay: Do you still love him, sharon?
Sharon: Yes.
Kay: Does he love you?
Sharon: I thought he did.
Kay: But you're not sure anymore.
Wes: Ash?
Ashley: Hi.
Wes: I was looking for olivia.
Ashley: She's in surgery.
Wes: Do you have any idea how long?
Ashley: It's gonna be awhile.
Wes: Not that there's much point in talking to her anyway.
Ashley: About what?
Wes: I was... I was hoping for some insights-- where dru's head is. Not that olivia's gonna be much help, but, frankly, I don't even know if dru knows herself.
Ashley: Problems?
Wes: Not in her mind.
According to dru,
everything's hunky-dory.
No biggie at all,
her moving in with her ex.
Ashley: Oh, really?
Wes: She claims they're doing it for lily's sake so she can have both her parents living under one roof.
Ashley: You think there's more to it?
Wes: The thing with dru-- once she makes up her mind on something, it's full speed ahead, no matter how other people might feel.
Ashley: Yeah, tell me something I don't know.
Dru: Uh, where are we going, missy?
Lily: I'm gonna be late.
Dru: What, for the coffeehouse? I happen to know what time your first class is, hon.
Lily: Can I just go, please?
Dru: No. We need to talk.
Lily: Again?
Look, we didn't go to paris.
The holidays sucked,
but I'm over it, all right?
Dru: Are you? Because by that tone, I'd say you're not.
Lily: Whatever.
Dru: Don't "whatever" me. Put the bag down. We need to talk.
Dru: Ur father and i had a long talk about you. We realized it has not been easy for you. I understand that you have not d d the stability that you should have, and we wanna change that.
Lily: How?
Dru: Your father and i decided that the three of us are going to live in
his apartment.
Nikki: Are you telling me I shouldn't be upset? I find myself face-to-face with brad carlton. He wants to rip your head off and he won't tell me why, and neither will you.
Victor: Who the hell gives a damn whether that guy wants to rip my head off, for heaven's sake? That's a joke, and I don't know why.
Nikki: So you keep reassuring me.
Victor: You probably think this has to do with ashley abbott.
Nikki: Well, brad as much as admitted that.
Victor: I went to see ashley abbott yesterday.
Nikki: Oh, really? That's great. Wonderful.
Victor: For your information,
she couldn't tell me either
why he was so upset.
Nikki: Well, brad's gonna tell me.
Victor: What do you mean, he's gonna tell you? You gonna see him?
Nikki: If I have to hunt him down like a bloodhound.
Victor: I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Nikki: Why do you say that? Did you promise ashley that?
Victor: Obviously, something is going on in their marriage. They don't need our interference now.
Nikki: Oh, well, that has never stopped you from interfering before.
Victor: Nikki, what is going on? Are you determined to start out this morning with an argument?
Nikki: I just want
some straight answers, victor.
Now whatever is going on
between ashley and brad
has something to do with you.
I know that.
Victor: Brad carlton's probably upset because a few months ago I went to see ashley to give her support.
Nikki: Something you failed to mention to me.
Victor: I've probably mentioned it to you in passing, and you forgot. We had more important things to do than that. We were planning a wedding. What's the matter with you? You and I have so much to be grateful for. Why the hell are we arguing?
Nikki: So I'm just supposed to turn a blind eye to this? Is that what you're saying?
Victor: Don't be upset
by this.
Whatever's going on between
brad carlton and ashleababbott
is none of our business.
Shouldn't destroy our happiness.
Should we?
Nikki: Have a safe trip to chicago. I'll see you tonight. (Door opens) (door shuts)
Lily: This is a nightmare.
Dru: Oh, honey, don't say that.
Lily: Why do you keep jerking me around this way?
Dru: Baby, we want you to feel settled, okay? We want you to feel like you have a real home.
Lily: I had a home in paris.
Dru: We've given this so much thought.
Lily: I can't believe you. This isn't about me. It's totally about you, what you want.
Dru: Excuse me?
Lily: You hauled me here
for a visit.
Then you decide to stay.
Then you said that we could
back to paris for christmas,
and then that went out
the window because of you, too.
And now this stupid idea
about living at dad's?
Three guesses where
that came from.
Dru: Excuse me?
Lily: I have told you a million times what would make me happy, but you never listen. So I guess you want to be with dad now, huh? So much for wesley. Does he even know?
Dru: Yes, for your information, he does know.
Lily: And how does he feel about it? Do you even give a damn?
Dru: You know what? You--
Lily: Never mind. You know what? Don't answer that. Is s obvious.
Dru: Sweetie, you are skating on thin ice.
Lily: This'll kill him, mom. He's crazy about you.
Dru: I'm not discussing wesley with you.
Lily: If this makes him
go back to paris,
I'm going with him.
Dru: Over my dead body, and who said he was going back to paris?
Lily: Did he say that he wasn't?
Dru: You know, enough is enough, and too much is foolish. I am not discussing my personal relationship with wesley with you. It doesn't concern you.
Lily: It sure as hell does. It's my relationship, too. Even if you don't care about him, I do. Wesley is my friend, and if you send him away, I will never forgive you. Do you hear me?
Dru: Who do youhihink--
Neil: Guess I don't have to ask if you've already told lily the news.
Nick: What's up?
I saw your car outside.
Crashed here last night?
Victoria: Yeah, I stayed in the bedroom until I was sure that dad had left.
Nick: Still avoiding him, huh?
Victoria: What do you think?
Nick: Hear from diego lately?
Victoria: What are you doing here, nicholas?
Nick: Wanted to see my kids before they went to school.
Victoria: Then what are you doing up here?
Nick: Guess we have something in common.
Victoria: Avoiding someone?
Nick: Yep.
Victoria: So are you through with your marriage or what?
Nick: Lay it on the line, why don't you?
Victoria: Well, someone has to.
Nick: Take a number.
Victoria: I know
dad's been bugging you.
Who else?
Nick: Sharon.
Victoria: Seems to me like she has a right.
Nick: Back off, all right?
Victoria: All right, fine, forget it. If you'll excuse me, I have to get to work.
Nick: Wait.
Victoria: What? Nicholas, either you're still in love with sharon, or you're not. Either you wanna put your marriage back together, or you don'T. If you do, suck it up and get over yourself. If you don't, then end the torture. 'Cause all this waffling and indecision is just making a bad situation worse.
Sharon: The way nick treats me--it's so confusing. Like just last night...
Kay: Last night?
What? What happened?
Sharon: I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to get out of here. I felt like the walls were closing in on me, so I went to the coffeehouse, and I brought some magazines along with me, and there was this really attractive guy sitting there.
Kay: Let me guess. He came on to you.
Sharon: No, no. It was nothing like that. He was the perfect gentleman. He wasn't at all pushy. And we got to talking. It was really nice.
Kay: Mm-hmm.
Sharon: You know, having a guy show a little interest for a change. I mean, nick--all he does is push me away over and over.
Kay: Did you show
any interest in this man?
Sharon: No, no, I mean, it was totally innocent. I'm sure if I encouraged him--
Kay: No, no, dear. I'm sure if you encouraged-- I get the picture.
Sharon: Okay, so anyway, all of a sudden, nick shows up. I had nodedea he was even at the coffeehouse.
Kay: Was there a scene?
Sharon: No, but he made damn sure that guy knew we were married.
Kay: Really?
Sharon: It's the first time he's given me that kind of attention since he walked out. I mean, as a woman, as his wife, not just the mother of his children.
Kay: How did you feel about that?
Sharon: Well...
months and months of him
pushing me away,
all th n negativity,
then I spend five minutes
talking to this stranger.
All of a sudden,
nick's my husband again?
It felt pretty crummy that
that's what it took,
but that's just the way
things are these days.
Kay: (Chuckles)
Sharon: Why are you laughing?
Kay: Oh, sharon, can't you see? This is a good thing. Believe me, it is a good thing.
Sharon: Oh, like it's some big sign that nicholas is still madly in love with me. It's more like someone was poaching on his territory.
Kay: Meaning you are still his territory. And that... that really is a good thing, believe me.
Sharon: All it means is nick has a male ego.
Kay: No, no, no. I so disagree with you.
Sharon: Really?
Kay: Ye, , really.
For your husband to go
marching over and come
between you and this man--
he could have
discussed it later.
He could have ignored it
altogether, but no.
See, he took action,
and I believe that nicholas
still cares a great deal
for you.
Now what are you going to do
with that?
Victoria: Look, I don't mean to be harsh. It's just... why can't you make a decision? I mean, what's holding you back?
Nick: I do still love sharon. I know that much.
Victoria: Well, then?
Nick: Sis, it's just not that simple.
Victoria: Nicholas, it's a start. I mean, why can't you decide? 'Cause every day you keep those kids wondering whether daddy's ever coming back home...
Nick: I know. Believe me, I know.
Victoria: Not to mention your wife. I mean, how long is she supposed to wait around for some crumb? I mean, some concrete sign that you still have a marriage?
Nick: She's been throwing
the "d" word around a lot
lately.
Victoria: Can you blame her?
Nick: No, I can'T. That's what's so frustrating.
Victoria: Nicholas, that word is poison. I mean, it slips out once maybe during a heated argument, and it catches you both off guard, so maybe you back off a little bit, but then things don't get better, and it-- it slips out again, and then the third time, and before you know it, you're flinging it around like it means nothing. I mean, it's lost all meaning. Has no shock value.
Nick: Except the damage has already been done.
Victoria: But it doesn't
have to be.
If you wait much longer,
you're right.
Is that what you want?
I mean, you don't wanna be
the bad guy?
It's just easier to let sharon
make the decision?
Jennifer: And one more.
Jack: Still no word from carlton?
Jennifer: No, and apparently he hasn't called in for his messages.
Jack: Okay, I'm gonna be gone for about an hour. Should he call while I'm out of the building, I want you to call me on my cell.
Jennifer: Will do.
Nikki: Got a minute?
Jack: Sugar, I'm on my way to a meeting.
Nikki: Don't you "sugar" me. What do you know about your sister and my husband?
Man: The final numbers
were sent out yesterday,
so, uh, I'll wait to hear
from you on that contract.
Ashley: Brad,
please call me.
Susan: Oh, it is you.
You have a ton of messages.
Ashley keeps calling.
Jack wants to see you.
So does nikki--
Brad: Whoa, susan, susan, I'm not here. You didn't see me. I just came to get a few things, and I'm gone. Under no circumstances do you tell anyone that you've seen me today, including all those people you just mentioned. Got it?
Susan: Yes, mr. Carlton.
Brad: Thanks. Listen, um, I don't know when I'm gonna be back in. You can reach me on my cellhohone, but, please, just hold down the fort for me, will you?
Susan: Yes, sir.
Brad: Thank you.
Brad: Olivia, it's me.
I'm sorry I missed you.
And I'm also sorry that I left
before seeing you this morning.
You were asleep.
I didn't wanna wake you.
I just had to, um, take a walk
and do some thinking.
I'll call you later.
Brad: After I've seen newman... and dealt with him.
Jack: Nikki...
Nikki: Jack, stop it. Dot tell me ashley hasn't confided in you.
Jack: I don't know what you're talking about.
Nikki: Try again.
Jack: Damn it, I don'T.
Nikki: So you're just gonna lie to me like everybody else?
Jack: Since when are you privy to inside information about my family?
Nikki: Things are being kept from me--important things that I have the right to know.
Jack: And if I don't just start spouting information, what, I'm a liar?
Nikki: Oh, so you do have information?
Jack: Is it any wonrr
you feel insecure
about victor newman?
My god, "why my wife doesn't
know won't hurt her"
has been his motto.
That's been your whole history
with this man, and yet
you married him again.
Who's to blame for that?
Nikki: You're working awfully hard trying not to answer my question.
Jack: (Sighs) okay, yes. My sister has confided in me. There's something going on between her and bradley.
Nikki: I know that.
Jack: Well, that's all you need to know. In fact, that's more than you need to know.
Lily: Yeah, mom told me. Not that anyone asked me what I thought.
Neil: You're obviously not thrilled with this. Lily, I wanna know what you're feeling.
Lily: Everything in my life
keeps getting decided
by other people--
what country I live in,
what school I go to,
what I do every second
I'm awake.
No one ever lets me
be part of the decision.
I have no say,
and it gets so old.
Neil: So this just feels like more of the same.
Lily: Not only that. It just seems so dumb. We already spend time together. We live in the same building. All we have to do is just hop on the elevator. Why should I have to move again?
Neil: Because... you need roots, lily. You need a home. You shouldn't be staying in your aunt's guest room, living out of a suitcase. You know, you need your own room, a place where you can bring your friends.
Dru: Lily, your father's making a lot of sense.
Neil: You're in high school
now.
These are extremely important
years.
I don't wanna miss
a single second of them.
Now I can understand why this
would be so confusing to you,
maybe even a little bit
upsetting.
Lily: A little? Yeah, I'd say it's been a little upsetting.
Neil: The thing is, kiddo, we are a family-- you, your mother and me. We've been apart a long time, and now we have the opportunity to make up for some of that. Do you understand how quickly life passes by within the blink of an eye? You're gonna be out of high school. You're gonna be in college. I don't wanna miss these years. Now's our chance.
Dru: Lily, do you know why your father isis doing this? Sweetie, he loves you. He loves you so much, and he truly wants what's best for you.
Neil: And I think
if you look deep inside,
you'll realize that this is
the best...
for all of us.
Ashley: Drucilla was only too happy to blow my entire life apart.
W: : Has something happened? You seem agitated. Unless it's too personal...
Ashley: It couldn't get more personal. Then again, my whole life's an open book to you, isn't it? Thanks to olivia.
Wes: Well, if makes you feel any better, ashley, I have not been kept in the loop.
Ashley: Oh, really? What's the last you heard? We were debating whether or not to drop the bomb on my husband, right?
>>Es: Right, right. The situation's changed?
Ashley: Yeah, it's changed.
'Cause of olivia,
my husband is painfully aware
of who fathered my child.
Wes: This has obviously been a difficult situation for you.
Ashley: Oh, yeah. That's putting it mildly.
Wes: I'm also sensing some bitterness toward liv.
Ashley: Ha. I wonder why.
Wes: Why don't you tell me?
Ashley: Well, maybe when you hear what she's done, or actually, what she hasn't done, you'll understand. You see, when I told brad the truth, he stormed out of the house without me being able to fully explain the situation to him. So now he thinks that victor knows and has known all along.
Wes: You mean that he's abby's biological father.
Ashley: Yeah. Now he's out there gunning for a man he despises.
Wes: Well, ashley, I mean,
you gotta tell him.
Ashley: I've tried. I can't find him. I don't know where he is or where he's staying.
Wes: Are you telling me there's no way to even get a message to him?
Ashley: Oh, ask olivia. She knows. He contacted her.
Wes: And?
Ashley: She didn't tell him.
Wes: What?
Ashley: It's an opportunity,
don't you see?
She chose to conceal
the one piece of information
that could possibly
settle things down,
but instead brad's out there,
ready to explode.
This is a very dangerous
situation, and olivia knows that
better than anybody.
She didn't tell him because
she wants there to be
an explosion.
She wants the truth to come out
in the ugliest way possible.
Wes: You're saying olivia wants victor to know?
Ashley: Why do you act so stunned? Of course she does. What better way to finish off my marriage?
A child is convinced by her parents that she's dying of leukemia. Now charges have been laid. And u-n inspectors in iraq get more aggressive in their search for weapons. Plus...some call it guerilla retail. Is it our imagination or are there a lot more sales?
Those stories and more... are coming up on used to swimlike a fish.
Nick: Sis, it's just not
that easy.
Victoria: What is it you can't get over-- the sex, the fact that sharon turned to another man?
Nick: What, are you suddenly defending her now?
Victoria: I know she couldn't get over it for a long time afterwards.
Nick: Yeah, and what does that tell you?
Victoria: Look, nicholas, we all know the issues. You've been chewing on this for months. My question still is--
Nick: I already know what your question is. You don't have to keep asking it.
Victoria: Well, it's not very much fun watching you suffer.
Nick: You know,
maybe I should just let her
have her divorce.
At least it's a resolution.
Victoria: True.
Nick: Yeah, but is it the right resolution?
Victoria: Oh, no! I can't decide! Maybe I'll just not decide and make everyone crazy for the next six months.
Nick: I don't have six months. You know, last night I saw sharon at the coffeehouse with some dude, and, you know, it made me wanna break something.
Victoria: Because you still love her. Look, nicholas, whatever you decide, I'm in your corner, but please, make a decision soon for everyone's sake.
Sharon: Look, if you're
suggesting that I go out
and try to make nick jealous,
that's at the root
of all of our problems,
katherine.
Nick already thinks I have
this wandering eye.
Kay: Hmm. That's a point well taken. But, um... you know, if a man can't get over his selfish ego in order to forgive the woman he loves, I think he needs to be taught a lesson.
Sharon: What lesson is that?
Kay: To see exactly what he will be giving up.
Sharon: Katherine, nick knows me better than anyone.
Kay: Darling, I suspect he's seen a very unhappy face-- a woman who's very upset, even angry most of the time.
Sharon: That's certainly true.
Kay: Well... you need to show him that sparkling young beauty that he first fell in love with. That's you.
Sharon: So I should pretend
to be happy?
Kay: No, no, you don'T... you don't pretend to be happy. You decide to be happy.
Sharon: Well, I did that over christmas. Nick spent a few days here with me and the kids, and, katherine, it was wonderful. We all had the best time. I had a smile plastered on my face for the whole two days. And then that was it. You know, christmas was over. We had a moment alone, and I practically threw myself at nick. He couldn't get out the door fast enough.
Kay: Ah, dear.
Sharon: So much for him seeing me sparkle again. It had zero effect.
Kay: Well, then perhaps, uh,
we may need a stronger dose
of the same medicine, hmm?
Sharon: Okay. So what's plan b?
Kay: Well, I think your husband should get a preview of what it's going to be like if you really were over him.
Sharon: What do you mean?
Kay: Oh, the stark reality of knowing--not just thinking-- but knowing that you're over him. You don't care anymore. A peek into that future. I real t think that-- oh, yeah, that would rattle his cage like nothing else.
Sharon: Okay, so what do I do? How should I act?
Kay: You act like a woman
who has truly moved on.
Don't talk about moving on,
my darling.
Those are just words.
I mean, you have to show him
that you have moved on.
Sharon: How?
Kay: How. Oh, sharon. All right, how does a woman act when she's over a man? All right. You ignore him. That's for openers. You become indifferent. You focus on the more important things in your life-- not another man, necessarily, but you show nicholas that you have a life. You have a very full, rich life without him.
Sharon: Yeah, yeah, I suppose I could, uh, I could get more involved at the coffeehouse in running the place.
Kay: Excellent. Excellent idea, absolutely.
Sharon: Okay. What else?
Kay: Social life.
Social life.
Sharon: What social life?
Kay: Precisely. Sharon, listen to me. Join a club. Go to lunch with your friends. Uh, I know. Plan weekend trips. Just do something very special with your children.
Sharon: But what if it backfires? I mean, what if nick thinks that I really am moving on with my life, and then he moves on with his?
Kay: Darling, I swear to god.
I mean, if he truly does not
love you, then as much as
I hate to say it,
you're better off without him.
But if nicholas truly does
and he wants you,
he's going to realize that
he's going to have to work
very, very hard to get you back.
I mean...
the love of his life--
he's not going to let
that slip away.
Ashley: I know victor, and if he finds out, he's gonna wanna involve himself in abby's life, and that's when I can kiss my marriage good-bye.
Wes: Hold on. Wait. Like you said, this is a dangerous situation. I mean, if olivia is in love with brad as you claim, why would she risk sending him into a confrontation that's likely to turn physalal? That doesn't make any sense.
Ashley: Well, what makes sense about an obsession? And that's what olivia has. She's obsessed with having my husband. Look, I know you wanna talk to her.
Wes: No, no, it can wait.
Ashley: Thank you. I ululd really appreciate that.
Wes: There's probably
not much she can tell me,
anyway.
There's only one place to get
answers,
and I'm gonna get them.
Ashley: Well, good luck.
Wes: Thank you. You too, ashley. I mean that.
Ashley: Thanks.
Nikki: Damn it, jack. Don't stonewall me.
Jack: If I'm stonewalling you, it's because it's none of your damn business.
Nikki: If it has to do with my husband, it's my business.
Jack: Not necessarily.
Nikki: Jack, I--
Jack: If you're worried that victor and ashley have something going on on the side, don'T. Believe me, she has no interest in the man whatsoever.
Nikki: Then what's the big secret? What are people hiding from me? Okay, fine. You don't wanna tell me, someone else will.
Jack: No, nikki, wait.
Wait a minute.
Nikki: Wait for what? What? Are you gonna finally tell me the truth?
Jack: Please don't worry about this. There's no reason to. This need not ever affect you, your life, your marriage. Nikki, you are happy these days. You're happier than you've been in a very long time. That's because of victor. That's because of what the two of you share. That doesn't have to change. Come on. Don't do that. I'm trying...
Nikki: I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to reassure me. The more you try to reassure me, the more worried I get.
Jack: Oh, come on. Come on.
Nick: Was that kay chancellor leaving?
Sharon: Yeah.
She just stopped by for a visit.
Nick: What was that ala about?
Sharon: Oh, nothing. She has this friend that she wants me to meet, so we're gonna get together sometime this week.
Nick: What friend?
Sharon: Um, no one, really. Look, nick, I have an appointment, so I have to get out of here.
Nick: I was hoping to see the kids before they left.
Sharon: Oh, uh, they had to go to school early, so you'll have to see them tonight, which will save me asking miguel to watch them.
Nick: Why? Where are you going?
Sharon: I wanna see a movie on campus.
Nick: Really?
Sharon: Oh, um, cassie has
a paper due tomorrow,
so don't let her watch any tv
until it's done.
Nick: Hey, do you have a minute to talk?
Sharon: Not really.
Nick: Well, make one, okay?
Neil: Lily, think how great it's gonna be, the three of us together. We're gonna have family dinners. You know, we'll take vacations. We'll talk about our days. This may sound a little corny, but we'll help you with your homework, you know, talk about your long days at school. You will finally have your mom and your dad under the same roof. Something that I wished we could have had a long time ago. Lily, you'll have a sense of permanence, stability. We all will.
Lily: You keep saying
thate'e're gonna be a family.
Does that mean...
are you gonna marry her, dad?
Are you gonna marry mom?
(Doorbell rings)
Dru: (Sighs) let me get it.
Sharon: Look, whatever this is...
Nick: I just wanted to talk about what happened last night.
Sharon: Last night?
Nick: Yeah, at the coffeehouse, you know, with that guy.
Sharon: Oh, that.
Nick: You think that's funny?
Sharon: No, no, I don'T. I'm sorry. What about it?
Nick: Well, it's just that, you know, I may have sounded like I was a little...
Sharon: What? Jealous? Don't worry, nick. It's forgotten.
Nick: Yeah, I guess it is.
Sharon: So... anything else?
Nick: You going to the movie onone?
Sharon: I don't know.
Nick: You don't wanna
tell me?
Sharon: Look, nick, come on. It's my life, right? So what does it matter? Hey, I'm gonna spend some time at the coffeehouse later today, going over the books, okay?
Nick: Why?
Sharon: Well, I'm part owr, right? I wanna make sure the place is doing well. Is that okay?
Nick: It's fine. It's just, you know...
Sharon: Oh, I know that I've been completely neglecting my duties there lately, but no more. Those days are or.R. So... I really have to go. I'll just--I'll talk to you later.
Nikki: Thank you, susan. I'll take it from here.
Brad: It's ayay, susan.
I don't have time to talk,
nikki.
I'm out of here.
Nikki: You're going to see victor, aren't you?
Brad: And I wanna see him alone.
Nikki: Well, you can'T. He's gone to chicago for business.
Brad: When's he going to be back?
Nikki: Tonight.
Brad: Good. I'll be there when he comes home.
Nikki: So will I.
Brad: Damn it, nikki. This is between victor and me. I don't wanna bring you into it.
Nikki: I am into it, brad, up to my neck. I feel it with every instant in my body. Now you look me in the eye and deny that. Well, that's settled. I have a right to know what's going on, and you're gonna tell me, brad, here and now, or you might make me hound you for as long as it takes, but you are going to tell me. Make no mistake about that.
