Nikki: Brad, what are you doing here?
Brad: Where is he?
Nikki: I don't know. Connie didn't say.
Brad: Is he in the building?
Nikki: I guess so. Why?
Brad: Because I want to talk to him, and I don't want to wait.
Nikki: Brad, you're gonna have to wait. He's not here. Why don't you sit down
and try to relax? You seem very tense.
Brad: I don't want to sit down.
Nikki: Will you tell me what's going on? Come on, talk to me.
Brad: I can't talk about it, Nikki, especially not to you.
Nikki: Especially not to me? What does that mean?
Brad: It means exactly what I said. Don't push it.
Nikki: Are you having problems with Colleen?
Brad: This has nothing to do with Colleen.
Nikki: Well, Ashley’s done with her chemo. How's she doing?
Brad: Don't ask. You really don't want to ask about Ash and me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashley: Olivia.
Olivia: Your secretary said I'd find you here.
Ashley: What do you want?
Olivia: Have you seen Brad? Have you heard from him?
Ashley: No. He didn't come home last night.
Olivia: I haven't heard from him, either.
Ashley: I came in early, hoping he would show up for work.
Olivia: You think he'd be in the mood?
Ashley: Maybe to bury himself. Look, I'm desperate. I want to track him down
before something terrible happens.
Olivia: What, you didn't take my advice? You didn't tell Victor?
Ashley: It's a horrible idea. I don't want Victor to know, not ever.
Olivia: Well, then we'd better find Brad before he gets to Victor. I still can't
understand it. Can't understand how you'd let Brad run out of there without
telling him that Victor doesn't know he's Abby’s biological father.
Ashley: If it weren't for you and your meddling, this wouldn't be happening, so
don't try and lay a guilt trip on me!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raul: You okay, babe?
Brittany: I will be as soon as we get out of this hellhole.
Raul: What a nightmare. Sweetheart, I'm sorry.
Brittany: It's not your fault.
Diego: Why didn't you just tell those guys it was Victor Newman’s money they
stole from me?
Raul: What, are you kidding?
Diego: Why not? Maybe they would've backed off by then.
Raul: Or not. Hey, these guys are psychos, all right? I mean, you think I want
to be the one to send 'em over to Newman’s house?
Diego: Why, do they think that I have a stash?
Raul: They thought you were into drugs or something or that you were carrying
money for someone who is.
Diego: That's good.
Raul: What?
Diego: You didn't call the cops, did you?
Raul: Not yet.
Diego: Good. Don’t.
Raul: Brother, you're not making any sense.
Diego: You know what? Those guys put me in the hospital, and they ripped me off.
I want get my hands on them before anyone else does.
Brittany: Diego, they have a gun. You should've seen their faces. They're
killers. If Billy and Larry hadn't--
Raul: Look, this isn't even your money that they took. Let this go.
Diego: I can’t.
Raul: Brother, we all got out of this in one piece.
Diego: I have a plan, Raul.
Raul: Oh, you do, right? A plan? Does it include a cemetery plot, Diego?
Diego: You've got to understand something, little brother. I can't let these
creeps get away with this.
Raul: That's what the police department is for, okay? Let's file a report--
Diego: No! This is personal.
Raul: Oh. Would you please talk to him?
Brittany: I'd like to see them suffer.
Raul: Babe!
Brittany: I mean it. I hate them! I wish somebody would hurt them so they won't
come back.
Raul: They're not coming back.
Brittany: You don't know that.
Raul: Well, even if they do, we're not gonna be here. We're out of this place.
Diego: Did they say anything else about the money they took from me?
Raul: It's pretty clear that it's gone. Why else would they come back here
looking for more? Were you planning on getting this money back?
Diego: You know what? It's Victor Newman’s money.
Raul: It was, Diego. Is that your plan? You're gonna take this money and take it
to Victor Newman?
Diego: You know what? The great man doesn't think that I can do it.
Raul: Me neither. No offence. I just... it's not there to get back.
Diego: Then I will give Victor their heads on a platter.
Raul: Look, this is not good.
Larry: There's no sign of 'em hanging around.
Raul: Hey, Larry, we owe you one.
Larry: Hey, man, nothing to it.
Raul: You ready?
Brittany: You don't know how ready. All right, brother.
Raul: Thanks again, man. I mean it.
Larry: Yeah, brother.
Raul: Please talk some sense into my brother.
Larry: Be cool, huh?
Raul: Yeah.
Larry: All right.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victor: Oh. I didn't realize you'd be here.
Victoria: Hey.
Victor: I thought you'd be out.
Victoria: Nope. I'm still here, working hard.
Victor: Uh-huh. Well, I don't mean to add to your duties, but would you kindly
take a look at this?
Victoria: What is it?
Victor: The Munich office proposes to do some layoffs.
Victoria: Multiple layoffs?
Victor: Mm-hmm. Of very talented and experienced people. I don't think I agree.
Victoria: All right, I'll take a look at it.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Victor: Is everything all right?
Victoria: No, but that's life.
Victor: Uh-huh. I heard you and Diego were split up for a while.
Victoria: No, we haven't split up. Where did you hear that?
Victor: Diego came to see me.
Victoria: Really? And he lived to tell the tale. Dad, please tell me that you
didn't hurt him again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Larry: So what was your brother talking about? You still thinking about going
for revenge? Trying to get your money back? I mean, old man Newman’s money.
Diego: You know what? I'm not gonna take this lying down, Larry. It was one
thing for them to rob me. Damn near killed me. They come in here terrorising my
brother and his girl. I'm not going to let them get away with it.
Larry: Look, I know how you feel, but sometimes, like I told you before, it's
smarter to just walk away from it.
Diego: You admitted you wouldn't if it was you.
Larry: Probably not. Look, I told your brother. I'm pretty sure I've seen one of
these turkeys before.
Diego: Yeah? Where?
Larry: Walworth.
Diego: You knew him in prison?
Larry: Yeah. Anyway, I got a good idea where we can find this scum. It's a
little bar I go to every now and then.
Diego: Well, you think we can find him there?
Larry: Maybe, but look, before you go running off, being the lone ranger, let's
look at your odds here.
Diego: This is not about playing it safe, man.
Larry: No, no, no. It's about playing it smart, okay? They already smacked you
in the brain once, and you're alive to talk about it. Diego, these guys are
armed and dangerous, okay? You sure you don't want to let the cops handle this?
Diego: And you can guarantee me they will?
Larry: You think you can do better? Even if I were to help you, which I'm not
saying that I will.
Diego: You know what? I got a plan how we can do this. Do you want to hear it?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victor: I didn't lay a finger on your...
Victoria: My boyfriend. Get used to it.
Victor: He isn’t gonna be anyone's boyfriend for much longer.
Victoria: Meaning what?
Victor: He's playing a very foolish game.
Victoria: He told you about that?
Victor: You bet. He wants to go after the hoods that stole his money.
Victoria: Did you encourage him?
Victor: I told him he was playing a very foolish game, that the money was gone
anyway.
Victoria: Well, this isn't about the money, dad. It's about revenge.
Victor: I see.
Victoria: I mean, you'd go after those creeps, too, wouldn't you?
Victor: Sweetheart, the difference is that your boyfriend has neither the
constitution, nor the resources to do the job. That's why he came to me for
help, all right?
Victoria: And you turned him down.
Victor: Of course I turned him down. It's a very dangerous and very hazardous
game that he's playing. I told him if he brought you into danger, that he would
have to deal with me.
Victoria: Well, dad, you don't have to worry about that, because if he brings
danger into my life, I'll beat him up. You don't have to do it.
Victor: This is no joke.
Victoria: I know it's not a joke. It's some stupid macho act. I mean, I was
going to buy a condo. We were going to live together. But no, no, he's got prove
his manhood. He's got impress Victor Newman.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raul: There you go.
Brittany: (Sighs) Thanks.
Raul: Babe?
Brittany: I'm fine. It's just...
Raul: I know. I know. Man, what a day.
Brittany: Yeah. So now what?
Raul: We're sure as hell not going back to that place.
Brittany: Please, I could never.
Raul: I guess that means we're homeless, then. Everything we own that's not
stolen or smashed is in that suitcase.
Brittany: Can't we ask the landlord for a refund?
Raul: It's a waste of time. You have a huge brawl, and you tear up the place,
they tend to keep the cleaning deposit, Britt.
Brittany: So?
Raul: So... so I don't know. What? You go back to your parents' place.
Brittany: Right. God, are Frederick and Anita going to gloat. "We told you, you
couldn't handle living by yourself."
Raul: They won't do that.
Brittany: You want to bet? Watch 'em. And you? You going back to your parents'?
Raul: Oh, my parents -- they'll have a huge party, invite all the neighbours.
"Hey, everybody, our baby's back."
Brittany: They're nice people.
Raul: Yeah, but you know, once you've had your own place...
Brittany: Every night, together.
Raul: Yeah, I'm gonna miss it.
Brittany: Are you kidding? Torture.
Raul: Well, not for long.
Brittany: You mean 'cause we're going off to college? Whoopee.
Raul: This is not the way I imagined our last two weeks together.
Brittany: Don't say that -- "last two weeks." You make it sound so... over.
Raul: This isn't gonna be the same with you in New York and me in Boston. I
mean, yeah, they look like they're close on the map, but...
Brittany: What are you saying? You're not gonna come and see me?
Raul: Sure I am, every chance I get, but most of the nights I'm going to be
sleeping alone.
Brittany: Me too.
Raul: Yeah, well, maybe we shouldn't have done this.
Brittany: Why? 'Cause now we're spoiled? Too bad, because I wouldn't trade it
for anything.
Raul: Yeah, you're right. (Crash)
Raul: Honey, hey. Come on, somebody dropped something.
Brittany: I... I know. I'm just a little shaky. I just keep thinking those
horrible men are going to come back and find us.
Raul: They're not looking for us.
Brittany: I know. Still... would you hold me?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anita: She's not here.
Frederick: What is your hurry?
Anita: You know I don't like this place, Frederick.
Frederick: Yeah, well, I -- (coughs).
Anita: Great. Something is very wrong. You are furious.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brad: I'm going to go find Victor.
Nikki: No, you're not. Not in this mood, you're not.
Brad: Nikki, stay out of it.
Nikki: I don't know what's happened.
Brad: You don't want know.
Nikki: You're very upset with Victor and your wife. Is there some sort of
connection?
Brad: Nikki, stay out of it. It's between Victor and me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Olivia: Can we not argue? We have a bigger problem -- finding Brad.
Ashley: Brilliant deduction.
Olivia: Do you have any idea where he went?
Ashley: If I did... look, I came in to work early. No sign of Brad. I called
Victor's office. I spoke with his secretary.
Olivia: Victor's at work?
Ashley: Yes.
Olivia: Then obviously Brad hasn't seen him, or you would've heard something
already.
Ashley: Maybe if Brad got into it. He might not.
Olivia: You think Brad didn't mention that Victor's Abby’s biological father?
Ashley: He might not necessarily open it up.
Olivia: Oh, come on, Ash. If he thinks Victor's known all along in your
marriage, why wouldn't he open it up?
Ashley: Obviously, I screwed up royally when I let Brad tear out of the house
without having him hear it from me. Do you want to keep rubbing my nose in it,
Olivia? Is that what you came here --
Olivia: This isn't about you. It's about Brad. God. Can't even imagine what that
man must be going through.
Ashley: And I'm heartsick about it! It's only gonna get worse if this whole
thing with Victor explodes!
Olivia: Unless it has already.
Ashley: I'm calling Victor. I've got to find out.
Olivia: Wait. If you reach Victor, what are you gonna say?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victor: If impressing your father was Diego’s intention, then he's off to a very
bad start.
Victoria: Well, there's nothing I can do about it. He's determined to go after
those guys.
Victor: You can't talk him out of it?
Victoria: No. I mean, come on. You ought to know. When has anyone dissuaded you?
You're like a pit bull when you got it in for somebody.
Victor: The difference is your boyfriend is like a Chihuahua who would like to
be a pit bull.
Victoria: All right, no need to be insulting. Diego is a wonderful man who just
got a jolt of testosterone because some jerks beat him up and ripped him off.
And yes, he wants to impress you. It's ridiculous.
Victor: Let me tell you something. This is very serious business. This is very
hazardous, what he's about to do. The only smart thing he said is that he wants
to keep you out of harm's way.
Victoria: Well, don't worry about me.
Victor: Whether you like it or not, I am worried about you, okay?
Victor: I'm very upset... about the bad feelings between the two of us.
Victoria: (Sighs) Diego, you damn fool. Be careful.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Larry: Look, I'm not saying that this plan of yours won't work, brother. It's
just that, well, the thing about plans is, uh, they don't always turn out like
they're supposed to.
Diego: You think like that, you'll never do anything.
Larry: Look, when you're dealing with wackos who are packing bullet, it can turn
ugly real fast. Look, I'm no big fan of the police department either.
Diego: Okay, we'll call the cops in when we need them. We've just got to wait
for the right moment.
Larry: There you go, talking about this "we" stuff again. Look, I'm trying to
stay clean. I'm on probation.
Diego: No, no, we're not gonna break any laws here.
Larry: You sure about that?
Diego: Yeah. The idea is to just go in --
Larry: I know, I know. Set a trap.
Diego: Look, if you just want to show me the one you recognize, I can handle it
from there.
Larry: What, you think I'm chickening out?
Diego: No. I didn't say that. But I'm not gonna sit around here on my hands
while those two guys are out there.
Larry: You're not gonna do it alone, brother.
Diego: No, I will if I have to.
Larry: (Sighs) Well, maybe we'll go have a talk with them and see where things
go.
Diego: All right. Fine. That's a starting place. Let's go see if we can find
those maggots. (Bell rings)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nikki: Victor happens to be my husband.
Brad: That's your misfortune.
Nikki: You don't have to be rude. I have no idea what you're so upset about.
Brad: No. No, you don’t. Believe me, I was in the dark, too.
Nikki: What the hell are you saying? What, you think there's something going on
between those two?
Brad: Do I think?
Nikki: Brad! Yeah, they were close at one time. They were married. But that's a
long time ago. Are you telling me you think they're involved?
Brad: Nikki, just drop it. Leave it alone.
Nikki: No, I'm not going to leave it alone. You're obviously reacting to
something, and I want to know what it is.
Brad: I'll tell you this much. You don't have a clue who you're married to. You
don't begin to know the man. Now I'm going to find Victor, and if you see him
first, tell him I'm looking for him.
Nikki: Why, Brad? I want know why!
Brad: He'll know.
Nikki: He'll know? What does that mean? He'll know?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashley: If Brad has been to see Victor and has told him everything, it'll be
evident when I reach him.
Olivia: And what if they haven't connected like we hope? What are you going to
say then?
Ashley: I'm going to tell Victor to steer clear of Brad.
Olivia: You don't think that's gonna raise some questions?
Ashley: Of course it will. Do you have a better suggestion?
Olivia: Yes, I do. Take my advice. Go to Victor. Tell him everything now.
Ashley: What will that accomplish? You have a lot to gain from that, Olivia.
It's gonna be very difficult for Brad to accept this situation if Victor knows
the truth.
Olivia: Yeah, well, if you told him before your marriage, you wouldn't be
dealing with any of this--
Ashley: You know what? I have my reasons, and they've all come back to bite me,
which I know thrills you.
Olivia: I'm not trying to be vindictive.
Ashley: You're doing a damn good imitation.
Olivia: All I think is that you should be doing some damage control right now. I
think you should go to Victor and let him know--
Ashley: One thing I know... I have to talk to Victor. I've got to find out what
he knows. (Telephone rings)
Nikki: "Jabot boardroom"? God, maybe they're looking for me. Hello? Um, Victor
Newman’s line. Hello?
Ashley: Uh, is he in?
Nikki: Ashley? What do you want with my husband?
Ashley: Uh, I just need to speak to him for a second.
Nikki: Well, he's not here, but I have some questions for you.
Ashley: Um, I'm sorry, Nikki. I, uh, I can't talk. I'm too busy.
Nikki: Listen, I...
Olivia: Victor wasn't there?
Ashley: No, but Nikki was. She wants to talk to me.
Olivia: What? What about? Do you -- do you think she knows?
Ashley: No, she was way too rational. But what does she want?
Olivia: You know, I've got to head back to the hospital.
Ashley: Olivia, if Brad does contact you...
Olivia: I don't know he'll do that.
Ashley: Olivia...
Olivia: Good luck.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frederick: Honey? What's the matter?
Anita: Are you all right?
Brittany: Uh, yeah, I'm fine.
Frederick: No, you're not.
Raul: It's, uh, it's been a rough day.
Frederick: Brittany?
Brittany: Yeah, dad. That's all. Just been a really rough day.
Anita: Why do you have your suitcase?
Raul: Listen, this is kind of a bad time. Brittany was going to call you guys --
Frederick: Well, excuse me, Raul, but when is when we're here so now is when
we'll talk. Something is obviously wrong.
Brittany: Yeah, like everything.
Anita: Sweetheart, tell us what it is.
Raul: Things got a little heavy over at the boarding house.
Frederick: Heavy?
Brittany: We're gonna have to tell them, Raul.
Anita: Tell us what? Damn it.
Frederick: Anita, just calm down. All right, tell us what happened.
Brittany: Well, shall I start with the insane armed robbers or the huge
fistfight?
Anita: What? (Door opens)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victor: I didn't expect you here.
Nikki: I'm sure not.
Victor: What brings you by?
Nikki: I wish I knew.
Victor: What do you mean, you wish you knew? Am I supposed to understand that?
Nikki: I don't know. Do you?
Victor: I'm in no mood for word games.
Nikki: Well, that's good, 'cause neither am I. I've been waiting here, hoping to
talk to you. Nobody seemed to know where you were.
Victor: What is this mood all about? I was on an unproductive errand. Why?
Nikki: Oh. What kind of errand?
Victor: I went to speak with our daughter.
Nikki: (Sighs) Dare I ask what happened?
Victor: Don't worry. I went there for two reasons. Number one -- to extend an
olive branch. Number two -- to set the record straight.
Nikki: What do you mean?
Victor: About Diego Guittierez. He's a very dangerous man.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anita: My god, how dreadful. Frederick?
Frederick: They could've been killed, both of you.
Brittany: Raul was so wonderful. He protected me.
Anita: Well, that wouldn't have been necessary if --
Brittany: Mom, don't start.
Frederick: Yeah, really, Anita, this isn't the time to be chasing Brittany.
Anita: I know, I know. You're right. It's just so frightening.
Raul: It's over, and we're never going back there again.
Anita: Well, I should certainly hope not.
Brittany: You guys should be ecstatic about this. Now I'll have to come home
where you want me.
Frederick: Raul, would you mind giving us a moment?
Raul: Sure.
Frederick: Thanks.
Raul: Just do me a favour. Don't give her a hard time, okay? She's been through
a lot.
Frederick: No, I understand.
Raul: I'll be in the next room.
Frederick: Honey, do you need to see a doctor or anything?
Brittany: No, daddy, I don’t.
Anita: Honey, you're shaking.
Brittany: Well, what do you expect? I was terrified.
Frederick: Thank god you weren't hurt. You know, we could've lost you.
Brittany: No.
Anita: Yes, Brittany. You read about these things in the paper all the time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raul: Thank you.
Billy: Hey.
Raul: Hey! There he is my hero.
Billy: Oh, yeah, right. Good thing I brought Larry Warton with me.
Raul: Don't even try to get out of this, dude. I'm going to go out and buy you a
medal, and I'm going to pin it right there. No, I'm going to have them build a
statue of you in the park, sitting on a horse.
Billy: Hey, hey, you'd have done the same for me, right?
Raul: Yeah. You're sure about that.
Billy: Get out of here. Where's the damsel in distress, anyway?
Raul: She's on the phone, talking to her parents.
Billy: Uh-oh.
Raul: Well, they're being pretty cool... so far. I mean, her dad hasn't tried to
re-break my back or anything.
Billy: She okay?
Raul: She's a little shaken up still, but she'll be fine.
Billy: And you?
Raul: I'm cool. And Britt and I -- we got a couple weeks left before we got to
go to school. Didn't expect to spend it living at our folks' house.
Billy: Yeah. But you're complaining to the wrong guy. Are you up for some
shocking news?
Raul: Well, maybe I should sit down for this.
Billy: Guess who's signed up for next semester at G.C.U.?
Raul: What, are we talking about J.T. all of a sudden here?
Billy: No, you moron, me.
Raul: What? You?
Billy: I'm moving back to town. I'm a local again.
Raul: Living at home?
Billy: Yeah, for now.
Raul: Dude!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brittany: So let's get it over with.
Frederick: What?
Brittany: You telling me you were right, that I wasn't ready for the big, bad
world. Now I'll have to come home, but only--
Frederick: Sweetie, sweetie, stop.
Anita: She can come home, Frederick.
Frederick: Well, of course she can. My god. It's just, something like this
happening right before you're ready to leave us and go to college.
Brittany: I'll be living in a nice, safe dorm.
Frederick: Yeah, a thousand miles away.
Brittany: 850.
Frederick: It's gonna seem like light-years.
Anita: What your father is trying to say he loves you. We both do.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nikki: You never learn.
Victor: Learn what?
Nikki: Victor, sometimes you just have to back off and leave things alone.
Victor: If you're talking about that Diego kid, he came to see me.
Nikki: He did? When?
Victor: Earlier today. Had some harebrained scheme. He wants to find the muggers
and try to give the money back to me.
Victoria: He came to you with this?
Victor: Yeah. He asked me for help, and I said I didn't want any part of it and
that he had better not involve my daughter. He told me not to worry about that,
that he was not going to live with her for a while.
Nikki: You're kidding me.
Victor: Victoria confirmed it. She didn't consider it a break-up. She thought it
was sort of a bump in the road. Anyway, she thinks he did all this in ordinary
to try and impress me. I assured her that I had nothing to do with any of his
decisions.
Nikki: Did she listen?
Victor: Unfortunately, our daughter these days has the tendency not to listen to
anything I have to say.
Nikki: Well, I warned you about that.
Victor: Please. Don't say you told me so, all right? I don't want to argue.
Nikki: Do you know how often you say that these days?
Victor: I know. I'm sorry. Sad... considering that just a few months ago, you
and I were happier than we have ever been.
Nikki: I know. What is wrong with us? We get so close, and then what happens? I
don't know.
Victor: Life, I guess. We're both very upset that our children aren't doing
well, that's all.
Nikki: It's not just the children.
Victor: What do you mean?
Nikki: There are some other issues that I’m very concerned about and I need
answers from you.
Victor: What are the issues?
Nikki: Brad Carlton was here earlier, looking for you. He's furious with you.
Victor: Why?
Nikki: I have no idea. That's what I need you to tell me.
Victor: No, I have no idea what's going on with Brad Carlton.
Nikki: You have no idea why he is angry enough to kill you?
Victor: I said I didn’t.
Nikki: And another thing -- he's very upset with Ashley. Curiously, right after
Brad left, Ashley called here looking for you.
Victor: Did she say why?
Nikki: Oh, no, she had no interest in speaking to me. But obviously something is
going on here. I want know what it is.
Victor: I have no idea. Although I know that, uh, there's a problem, I think,
between Ashley and her husband.
Nikki: How do you know that?
Victor: Last time I ran into her, I sensed something.
Nikki: The last time you ran into her. You ran into her, you don't bother to
tell me?
Victor: Why would I tell you? It didn't involve us.
Nikki: Well, if it doesn't involve us, why is Brad so upset? And why is Ashley
trying to reach you? I think this is more than a coincidence!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raul: Well, knock me over with a feather. You're not going back to Louisiana.
Billy: It was great, but no. It's time to get myself educated.
Raul: That's cool, man. Well, look, whenever I get back in town, I can tell you
tall tales of the outside world.
Billy: I'm not finished. There's more.
Raul: What? What, are you running for freshman class president now or something?
Billy: Oh, yeah, right. No, get this. Mac's moving back here.
Raul: Get out.
Billy: I'm serious.
Raul: What, she's ditching Northwestern?
Billy: Yep. Going to G.C.U. instead.
Raul: What?
Billy: And if you try and talk her out of it, I'll kill you.
Raul: Man.
Billy: Hey, Mac’s really all right with this. I didn't have to talk her into it.
She came up with the idea herself.
Raul: Yeah, yeah, sure.
Billy: What's the matter?
Raul: Well, the truth? I'm jealous.
Billy: Yeah.
Raul: I don't know how I'm gonna deal with being separated from Brittany.
Billy: You'll be in Boston. Brittany will be in New York. It's practically next
door.
Raul: Yeah, but you and Mac will actually be next door.
Billy: True. Maybe we'll even get a place together.
Raul: Okay.
Billy: What? Could happen someday. Who knows? Maybe we'll -- ah, forget it. I
don't want torture you.
Raul: No. What?
Billy: I was just thinking. Wouldn't it be cool, the four of us all in a place
together? You know, living, working, going to school.
Raul: With Britt in New York and me in Boston? Right. Come on. I think taking a
plane home every night can get a little expensive. Besides, brother, you and
Brittany don't even get along all that well.
Billy: So? Hey, she's my best friend's girl. We'd figure out a way.
Raul: Look at you. You're serious about this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brittany: I was expecting you to -- I don't know -- gloat.
Anita: Sweetie, please, give us some credit. After everything you've been
through today, you actually think we'd do that?
Brittany: Well, you guys like to be so right all the time.
Frederick: Honey, you're getting ready to head out into the world. Whether we're
right or not doesn't really matter that much anymore. You're gonna be making
your own decisions.
Anita: And living with the consequences.
Brittany: I can hardly wait.
Frederick: Hey, come on. You know, the world is full of good people. You just
happened to run into a couple bad apples today, that's all. But you learned a
little something about being more careful.
Brittany: Did I, daddy?
Anita: Sweetie, we sure hope so.
Brittany: How can you be careful when people come right into your home?
Frederick: I know, but I think you know what we mean.
Brittany: This isn't about Raul.
Raul: No.
Brittany: Good.
Frederick: God, honey, we just want you to be safe, that's all. Please just be
sensible. Don't be afraid of the world, but treat it with some common-sense
caution, okay?
Anita: Honey, you just need to put what happened today behind you. Okay? Don't
dwell on it. Just try to learn something from it.
Frederick: Let's face it. The last few months have been pretty awful. I know you
and Raul have been close.
Brittany: More than close.
Anita: We don't need to know all the details.
Frederick: It's just the point is, kitten, you're getting ready to start a new
chapter in your life...
Frederick: And your mother and I won't be there. But just know... that you'll
always be in our minds.
Anita: We'll be hoping that you're doing well, you know? Making new friends
and...
Brittany: Mom... dad, I can’t. I just can’t.
Anita: Sweetie.
Brittany: (Sobbing)
Anita: What's wrong, Brittany?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Victor: I mean, I'm aware that I'm not one of Brad Carlton’s favourite people. I
know that he resented the fact that I gave support to Ashley while she was
fighting cancer.
Nikki: You sure it was only the support that you gave her that he we’re upset
about?
Victor: What do you mean, am I sure? What the hell are you implying?
Nikki: As he was leaving, he said a very strange thing to me.
Victor: What did Mr. Carlton say to you?
Nikki: That I don't really know my husband as well as I think I do.
Victor: What the hell is that guy trying to do? You don't believe that now, do
you?
Nikki: Yeah. Right now I don't know what to believe.
Victor: What the hell is going on now?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man: All right, guys, two coffees. That'll be 5 bucks.
Larry: Jeez, what do you charge for actual booze?
Larry: You know, man, this is -- this is nuts.
Diego: No, Larry, it isn’t.
Larry: Like I said, plans always look better on paper.
Diego: Okay, all right, so we improvise a little.
Larry: There you go with the "we" stuff again.
Diego: Yeah. You, me, Victor Newman. What a team.
Larry: You're serious about Newman?
Diego: He's on board. He wants these guys as bad as I do, Larry.
Larry: Yeah, we'll see.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man: You. Two beers.
Bobby: Man, that one guy packs a hell of a punch. I'd like to get him alone,
only me with a hammer.
Man: That's you, Bobby. Always up for a fair fight.
Bobby: Hey, I like to win.
Man: You better have your hammer with you when those loan sharks catch up --
Diego: There you go.
Bobby: What the--
Man: Easy, man, easy.
Diego: What's up, guys? Got a little proposition for you. Something that might
work out for all of us. You ready to listen? Hmm? (Telephone rings)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashley: Ashley Abbott Carlton.
Nikki: Good. You're still there. It's Nikki. I want see you.
Ashley: What about?
Nikki: Why did you call my husband?
Ashley: It was business.
Nikki: Did the business involve Brad?
Ashley: What are you getting at, Nikki?
Nikki: I had a very disturbing conversation with Brad earlier, and I would like
some answers.
Ashley: What did he say?
Nikki: I'll tell you about it when I see you.
Ashley: Answer me one thing. Has Brad seen Victor?
Nikki: Your place or mine, Ashley?
Ashley: Mine.
