Tricia: Good morning. I hope you slept well, I certainly did.

Victor: You made breakfast.

Tricia: Fruit and toast and coffee. If you'd like more --

Victor: No, fruit and toast and coffee are just fine.

Tricia: So did you sleep well, or was it one of those nights that you tossed and turned because you had so much on your mind?

Victor: I rarely have trouble sleeping.

Tricia: Neither do I, not since --

Victor: Tricia, our conversation last night, let's talk about that a little bit. You know, as glad as I am that you are looking to me for guidance, I know people who are far more capable of helping you to recover.

Tricia: Well, I already have a doctor. What I need is a friend. I'm still so moved how kind you've been to me, especially last night. And after sleeping on it, I think I know why.

Sharon: Nicholas.

Nicholas: Yeah.

Sharon: Can't you even look at me? Everything has changed now, hasn't it?

Nicholas: I'm sorry.

Sharon: I'm sorry. If I could go back and change the past --

Nicholas: We can’t. We can't do that.

Sharon: And you can't feel the same way about this pregnancy knowing there's a possibility that Matt might have raped me and the baby might not be yours.

Nicholas: I don't want to feel this way.

Sharon: Yeah, but I know. Nick, I’ve been up for hours thinking and maybe you're right. Maybe we just should go ahead with that paternity test now.

The nurse said Dr. Walker wants to check on you one last time.

Raul: Is he on his way now? I have to get out of here.

Mrs. Gutierrez:  Patience, mijo. The doctor will come soon. Your brother called. He will come to Genoa City to visit.

Raul: Because of what happened last night?

Mrs. Gutierrez: We phoned before we heard you were in the hospital.

Raul: Does this mean he's going to stay for a while?

Mr. Gutierrez: You know your brother. He comes and goes as he pleases; if he shows up at all. So Dr. Walker told me you shouldn't have any more problems from those two shots that you took. But it was such a close call.  I still can't understand how you could make such a terrible mistake.

Victoria: So I need to get a hold of Lauren Fenmore. She can come up with a wedding dress even at short notice.

Ryan: Or you could buy off the rack and safe a ton of dough.

Victoria: What?

Ryan: I thought that would get you going.

Victoria: Wait, wait, what are you doing?

Ryan: Retiring your list so I can do this.

Victoria: Are you feeling neglected?

Ryan: We haven't even said our I dos yet. What do you think?

Victoria: I'm thinking I will never, ever let you go again. So where were we? Wedding party?

Ryan: I already thought about that. What would you say to Philip being my best man?

Lauren: You still plan on leaving?

Isabella: Yes. I'm leaving Genoa City.

Lauren: Without a word to Paul.

Isabella: There's no point in dragging him into this.

Lauren: You're carrying the man's child. Don't you think he has a right to know?

Isabella: Should I have told you, Paul?

Michael: Isabella.

Isabella: Yes, I’m back, Michael. So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead, congratulate yourself.

Michael: About what?

Isabella: I left town only to realize I left a lot unresolved. I thought I would see if Paul missed me.

Michael: And?

Isabella: I got my answer right between the eyes, at Gina’s last night.

Lynne: Good morning, boss. I brought you breakfast. I have bagels, cream cheese, and orange juice. How does that sound?

Paul: Like you read my mind. You sound chipper this morning.

Lynne: What can I say? Life is good again.

Lauren: Knock, knock. Hi, handsome. I hope you're in the mood for croissants.

Lynne: You're back in town?

Lauren: I never left. What gave you the idea I did?

Lynne: It doesn't matter.

Lauren: I had a really good time last night. I wanted to thank you. I hope you had a good time too.

Victoria: I think having your son stand up for us is a wonderful idea. I don’t know if he wants to.

Ryan: Because of his loyalty to Nina? I've already called Philip in L.A. and asked him right after we decided to get married, before you put a rush on the nuptials.

Victoria: He said yes?

Ryan: He's looking forward to this -- for his old man. I assume you want your father to give you away?

Victoria: Of course. That means we have to tell him we're getting married first.

Ryan: When do you want to do that?

Victoria: How about now?

Ryan: I hope he doesn't want to throw me in the slammer.

Victoria: I don't think that will happen. He thought the trip to Greece was going to be a honeymoon. Come on, no time like the present.

Ryan: He won't be at the office.

Victoria: That's why we're going to the apartment.

Ryan: Whoa, whoa, I don't want to run into Tricia.

Victoria: She's probably at a therapy session. Do you need any more excuses?

Ryan: All right. You win, as usual.

Victor: I don't quite know what you mean.

Tricia: Last night when I found out you had already eaten after I cooked this meal, you saw that I was disappointed. You stayed and talked to me, and I appreciate that more than you know.

Victor: That's nice. Every word. Did you think I wouldn't?

Victor: Last night you talked about some memory lapses, some gray areas you called them.

Tricia: Why do you bring that up?

Victor: When I asked when you initially expressed a desire to stay here with me, you couldn't remember the reason why you had suggested it.

Tricia: That's true. When I think back, those gray areas fall between the time I left the hospital and just a couple of weeks ago. Do you think it took that long for my medication to work?

Victor: I don't know. I'm not a doctor.

Tricia: I'll ask Dr. Burns and see what she has to say.

Victor: Why don't I join you for your next therapy session?

Billy: I hope I didn't share your mom off.

Raul: Are you kidding? I was driving her nuts asking her every ten minutes when I’m going to be sprung from this place.

Mackenzie: I spoke to the nurse. She said she would be okay.

Raul: This time at least.

Mackenzie: So are you really feeling --

Rianna: Are you really feeling better?

Raul: Fine.

Rianna: You look a lot better.

Raul: Compared to what?

Rianna: I was just trying to say that -- I’m going to get a drink of water.

Mackenzie: Are you okay?

Rianna: I was hoping after I helped Raul last night he would understand how much I still love him. Mac, you saw how he's acting.

Mackenzie: Look, this has been a real shock and Raul's been through a lot. He probably just needs time to recover.

Rianna: Do you really think that's all it is? Mac, if you know something, tell me.

Mackenzie: Billy and I saw Raul after what happened at the boutique. He wasn't exactly happy.

Rianna: What did he say?

Mackenzie: Something about a bracelet you gave to J.T.

Rianna: A long time ago when J.T. and I were still together. Raul completely misunderstood. I didn't know J.T. had the bracelet.

Mackenzie: It's no big deal?

Rianna: I'm just so confused. If only I could get back to where we used to be.

Raul: I am not mean?

Raul: Last night I realized there are things I really have to face or

Billy: All right. What exactly happened at Joanna’s?

Isabella: Paul and Lauren Fenmore were there making goo-goo eyes at each other.

Michael: That's it?

Isabella: She was making a play for Paul in public.

Michael: You obviously had your suspicions about Miss Fenmore.

Isabella: I learned the hard way. She was lying through her teeth saying she had no designs on Paul.

Michael: What could have been going through your mind, Isabella? Or maybe I already know.

Lauren: So you did have as much fun as I did last night?

Paul: You know the answer to that.

Lauren: I'm glad I could take your mind off your troubles even for a little while.

Paul: You know you did more than that.

Lauren: I'm glad.

Paul: Hmm?

Lauren: I said I’m glad. I want to know what you're thinking. You know you can tell me anything.

Paul: I hope I’m not presuming too much. As you know I have been burned a couple of times this year and I'm not looking to get involved in a serious relationship.

Lauren: I understand. You don't have to say another word, although I am intrigued.

Paul: Why are you intrigued? I thought I just explained --

Lauren: I know. None of us are getting any younger.

Paul: Gee thanks.

Lauren: When you're a woman and you get to a certain age, you hear this clock ticking in your ear.

Paul: First of all, I'm not a woman.

Lauren: True.

Paul: Second of all, I would like to know what your point is.

Lauren: The point is I wonder if you feel the same way. I know how much you've always wanted kids.

Paul: I did, especially with Chris. I'm not about to jump into parenthood without a solid relationship.

Lauren: Like you have.

Paul: Like I had with Chris. But that takes a lot of time and a lot of luck.

Lauren: The right woman would have to come along.

Paul: She would have to come along and we would have to build a solid foundation for a relationship. Until that happens, it's silly for me even to think about having children.

Lauren: I understand. I really do.

Tricia: You want to sit in on my therapy session?

Victor: It doesn't have to be today. Whenever you're willing, you know.

Tricia: Well, yeah, I guess it would be okay. I have to ask Dr. Burns though.

Victor: Why don't you?

Tricia: You know when I was first in the hospital, my dad sat in on a couple of my sessions.

Victor: There, see?

Tricia: It might be good to have you there.

Victor: There's one other thing. I'm very concerned about all the time you spend here alone. Maybe you and I and Dr. Burns should figure out a situation where that wouldn't be a problem so that you may make even faster progress.

Tricia: I feel pretty secure here and we're getting along so well. If you think there's a situation you think is better, I'll consider it.

Victor: Anyway, I have a report to review before I go to the office. So if you'll excuse me.

Tricia: I have to go too. It's later than I thought. Dr. Burns will be wondering where I am. Oh, my God. It's you.

Sharon: Ready to talk?

Nicholas: I guess now's a good a time as any.

Sharon: So what do you think?

Nicholas: Look, are you sure about this paternity test?

Sharon: Nicholas, I hate the look in your eyes.

Nicholas: I'm really sorry about that.

Sharon: But you can't help it, I understand. You can't look at me anymore and see this baby that I’m carrying without that horrible question in your mind of whose baby is it. Is it yours? Is it Matt’s?

Nicholas: I will do my best to get past this.

Sharon: Nicholas, the baby isn't due for another three months.

Nicholas: Maybe it'll get easier.

Sharon: It won't get easier no matter how hard you try. There will always be that question mark. What if we can erase that?

Nicholas: You're willing to go ahead with the paternity test.

Sharon: I honestly feel chances this baby is not yours are very, very slim.

Nicholas: I hope that's true. I am praying for that.

Sharon: Then we'll know.

Nicholas: Dr. Thompson thinks it's best to wait.

Sharon: Dr. Thompson isn't living with it, is she? Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could go back being thrilled about this baby again like you were before?

Nicholas: Yeah. It would be wonderful.

Sharon: Then let's just go for it.

Nicholas: If you were willing to do this, I really think it's for the best.

Sharon: I'll call Dr. Thompson this morning. I'll get an appointment for today, if possible.

Lauren: Sorry to ask you so many questions, but I have another one.

Paul: Shoot.

Lauren: Last night, you said I was a breath of fresh air. Are you planning on keeping the window open?

Paul: Yeah, why wouldn't I?

Lauren: We are a classic.

Paul: We know each other a little bit more than most people when they start dating.

Lauren: Isn’t that the truth? I'll get back to work. Will you walk me out?

Paul: My pleasure. There you go. After you, young lady.

Lauren: How lovely. Chivalry is not dead. Okay, Mr. P.I., How about lunch today?

Paul: Ask me when I'm through with breakfast.

Lauren: I will. Lynne, always lovely to see you.

Ryan: We didn't mean to startle you. Are you all right?

Tricia: I'm fine. We weren't expecting you.

Ryan: We thought you would be --

Tricia: I'm late for my therapy session. I'm sure my guard is waiting for me in the car. I realize this is awkward, okay? This is your father's home. You should feel free to come and go, and I shouldn't be a consideration. Anyway, it was nice seeing you both.

Victor: Hi.

Victoria: Hi.

Victor: Hi, sweetheart. It's nice to see you. Ryan.

Ryan: Victor. She really is making progress. She was trying to make us feel better about us feeling awkward.

Victoria: It would appear. Right, Dad?

Victor: Yes, it would, wouldn't it?

Mackenzie: Don't give up. You don't know what's going to happen.

Billy: Raul wants to talk to you right now.

Rianna: Did he say what it's about?

Billy: Just go.

Rianna: Billy said you wanted to talk to me.

Raul: I never thanked you for what you did last night. I'm so grateful to you, Rianna.

Rianna: You don't need to thank me. I love you. I'm glad I could help.

Raul: You did a lot more than that. The doctor said it was a real close call. If you weren't there, I --

Rianna: But I was there. Raul, I always want to be there.

Raul: You know what? I have to tell you, Rianna, I have been doing a lot of thinking. I realized some things about the two of us and where do we go from here.

Victor: So what brings you by so early?

Victoria: Ryan and I have some news.

Ryan: Something we hope will make you happy.

Victoria: First I have a question for you.

Victor: What's the question?

Victoria: How do you feel about big November weddings? Your daughter, in some elegant, beautiful dress --

Victor: Wait, wait, and wait. Are you two getting married?

Victoria: We made it official last night. I would love it if you would give me away. You know, Dad, it's okay to show a little excitement. It's not every day your daughter tells you she's marrying the man of her dreams again. So do we have your blessing?

Victor: You not only have my blessing but I’m very moved that you asked me to walk you down the aisle after all our history. Congratulations, my sweetheart.

Victoria: Thank you. That means so much to me.

Victor: Welcome back to the family, Ryan.

Ryan: Thank you. For a minute there, I thought --

Victor: I'd toss you back to jail?

Victoria: The thought occurred to Ryan earlier. I assured him history would not repeat itself.

Victor: What about the wedding party?

Victoria: So far we only asked Philip and you.

Ryan: He's going to be my best man.

Victor: Are you going to have Sharon be your matron of honor?

Victoria: We don't want to keep you.

Victor: There's one more thing I have to say. Ryan, this is the happiest I have seen my daughter in a long, long time. You keep her that way and you and I will have no problems.

Victoria: Dad, I feel so lucky. I'm so happy you're going to be a part of our wedding. I feel like life couldn't be more perfect.

Dr. Burns: You seem in good spirits, Tricia. I assume things are continuing to go well?

Tricia: I'm getting stronger every day. I have proof.

Dr. Burns: What do you mean?

Tricia: When I was the apartment, Ryan and Victoria showed up to see Victor. It was the first time I had seen them in a while.

Dr. Burns: Was that uncomfortable for you running into them unexpectedly?

Tricia: A little. I didn't get angry or anxious like I have in the past. They looked happy together, and it didn't bother me, which means I’m turning a major corner, right? I never could have gotten to this point without your help. I'm really grateful to you, Dr. Burns, and to Victor. I can't tell you how much he's helped me too.

Isabella: I have no idea what you think you know, Michael.

Michael: Suppose you answer my question. What's going on between you and Lauren Fenmore?

Isabella: She caught me at a weak moment. I was on my way out of town and I was upset. She got me talking and said she would help me.

Michael: Now you know different.

Isabella: It was all a big act. She could care less about my interest. She just wanted help. The point is Lauren Fenmore made a play for Paul.

Michael: What exactly did you see?

Isabella: She was coming on to him.

Michael: How?

Isabella: They were holding hands and left together.

Michael: To go where?

Isabella: I don't know. I didn't follow them.

Michael: Then what makes you think more happened than what you saw?

Isabella: I shouldn't assume the worst.

Michael: Yes. Sweetheart, you obviously came back to Genoa City because you wanted another shot at Paul. I would go to his office and ask him exactly where you stand.

Isabella: No. I will not humiliate myself again with Paul Williams. Now that he's turning to Lauren?

Michael: You're afraid of humiliating yourself? Oh, hell. Humiliation that's par for the course in the pursuit of true love. Anything that is worth anything is going to cost you. Now the worst outcome here is for you to walk away and spend the rest of your life wondering what could have been. You go to Paul, sweetheart, and you make your own play for him, and I’m betting you will put Lauren Fenmore right out of his mind.

Rianna: I am so glad we're finally talking, really talking.

Raul: Me too, Rianna. Especially now that I realize I have been blaming you for a lot that wasn't even your fault.

Rianna: It doesn't matter whose fault it was. I really want us to get past this.

Raul: So do I. What happened at the coffee house last night, it was like a huge wake-up call for me. I was so preoccupied, I didn't remember taking a shot of insulin. Talk about scary. I can't ever let that happen again. I won’t. I won't let that happen again. My health is too important.

Rianna: I know. I understand.

Raul: I thought I did too. The only way that I can manage this disease and live with it is if I stay in complete control. I haven't been able to do that, I haven't been able to. I'm afraid I lost control of my life. I have to get it back. I need you to help me.

Dr. Burns: I must tell you, Tricia, a few weeks ago, I never would have expected to hear you say that about Mr. Newman.

Tricia: Victor has become a lifeline to me.

I heard you use that expression before.

Tricia: I feel like that more and more each day.

Dr. Burns: I was concerned about you staying with him. It sounds like things have worked out.

Tricia: Yeah, they have in ways I never imagined.

Dr. Burns: Tell me what you mean about that.

Tricia: He put aside hostility and agreed to watch over me.

Dr. Burns: After your father had a stroke.

Tricia: It was a miracle he came into my life when he did. What, did I say something wrong?

Dr. Burns: No, no. But there is a delicate line here, Tricia. While it's good to have somebody who's supportive, it almost sounds as if you're seeing Mr. Newman as a substitute for your own father.

Tricia: Well, I never thought of it that way. Maybe, that is how I see him though. Is there anything wrong with that?

[Doorbell sounding]

Lauren: Hmm, maybe Paul changed his mind about lunch. Isabella. What are you doing here?

Rianna: Of course I’ll help you, any way that I can. I'm just so glad that you're finally reaching out to me. So what can I do?

Raul: I need you to be supportive.

Rianna: Of you?

Raul: Of what I’m about to explain to you. The thing is, Ri, certain buttons of mine keep getting pushed because I keep holding on to the idea of us getting back together. And that has put me on an emotional roller coaster, which is not a good place for a diabetic to be, especially when my confusion has come out in ways that I can't even predict. Last night at the coffee house, I was so upset about what might have happened between you and J.T. that I gave myself two shots of insulin and wound up here in the hospital. I can't handle living like this.  It could cost me my life, literally.

Rianna: Raul, what are you saying?

Raul: God knows I don't want to hurt you any more than I already have. But for both of our sakes, Rianna, I'm telling you now it's over.

Nicholas: I hate to take off but I really have to get to the office.

Sharon: You go ahead. I'm fine.

Nicholas: Okay.

Sharon: I'll call Dr. Thompson as soon as you leave and I'll let you know when we have an appointment.

Nicholas: There's another good reason to have this test done now.

Sharon: What?

Nicholas: If it turns out the news is good, then the cloud's gone. If it turns out the baby's not mine, then we can go ahead and start making arrangements to have the baby adopted just after it's born. We never even have to see it. Baby, you okay?

Sharon: What?

Nicholas: Are you all right?

Sharon: Yeah. I'm fine.

Nicholas: Okay. Call me if you have news about the appointment. I love you.
