Larry: Man, these are great. I couldn't resist trying this on because it feels like silk.

Victor: What's this man doing here?

Nikki: I'm giving him some clothes.

Cassie: Hi, Victor.

Victor: Hi, sweetheart.

Cassie: Oh, my God. Mr. Warton.

Larry: I'm surprised to see you.

Cassie: Did you come to see mommy and daddy?

Nikki: He came for some clothes.

Larry: I'm glad I got to see you.

Cassie: That shirt looks good on you.

Larry: Thank you. I like it too.

Jack: What is it? Ash, come on, it's me. Remember, old smiling Jack? What's bugging you?

Ashley: If I say anything, you promise me you're going to keep your big mouth shut? I don't want this to get back to Traci and Brad, promise?

Jack: Ash, what is going on?

Ashley: All of a sudden Brad wants more contact with Colleen. Yes, it bucks me.

Jack: What's that mean?

Ashley: He wants her to spend some of the summer with us.

Jack: How does Traci feel about this not to mention Colleen?

Ashley: He has some selling to do.

Jack: You're not enjoying the selling part. I can understand why you're not thrilled.

Ashley: You understand?

Jack: Why the hooey of her living under the same roof as Phyllis?

Ashley: Your place is the safety net, Jack. Brad wants her with us.

Jack: You wonder why this is happening now.

Ashley: I'm not threatened. I know nothing could shake his love for Abby.

Jack: What is bugging you?

Ashley: I picked up the weirdest vibe from Traci.

Jack: What vibe?

Ashley: I got the distinct feeling she's not pleased that Brad is not Abby's biological father. That doesn't surprise you?

Jack: No. I don't think Traci ever got over Brad.

Ashley: I think Traci, Colleen and Steve far away in New York. Now all of a sudden Brad wants to push to get Colleen here. If that happens, that means a lot of changes for us, and I’m not sure I’m ready for them.

Traci: We really surprised you, huh?

Brad: That's an understatement, Trace. I had no idea you two were coming.

Traci: I knew how much you'd like to see your daughter.

Brad: Yeah. I'm so glad you came. I've been hoping I would get to spend some time with you soon.

Traci: And you feel the same way, don't you, sweetheart?

Isabella: You're upset.

Paul: Damn right I am.

Isabella: I'm sorry. I know how much it hurts when your talks with Christine don't go well. Paul, I don't want to pry but I want you to know if you need a shoulder, I’m here.

Paul: I don't want to talk about this right now.

Isabella: Where are you going?

Paul: To get some air. With this last stunt Chris has pulled, she doesn't leave me much of a choice.

Phyllis: Are you going to tell me what you're up to? Or do I have to sit here all night and pry it out of you?

Michael: Phyllis, what makes you think I'm up to anything?

Phyllis: Because your calls never faze you. Now they are about to be separated longer. When she comes back into town it doesn't mean she and her husband won't reconcile, especially since you made zero headway with her.

Michael: Phyllis, there you go again letting your imagination run away with you.

Phyllis: Come on. Tell Phyllis everything. It would be a lot more fun if you had someone to share it with.

Colleen: Actually, mom, I’m pretty wiped out.

Brad: It was a long flight, huh?

Traci: We've flown from Paris and then we flew non-stop from New York. She's been on a plane for 12 hours.

Brad: Can I get you something to drink?

Colleen: No thanks.

Brad: What about you, Trace?

Traci: No thank you.

Brad: Why don't you have a seat?

Traci: Ash isn't home?

Brad: She'll be home soon.

Traci: What about her little girl? Is she upstairs?

Brad: Yes, she is.

Traci: Would you like to say hello?

Brad: Come on. Let's see your baby sister.

Katherine: So you are Larry Warton.

Cassie: The man that helped my dad get out of jail.

Katherine: Mm-hmm.

Larry: Pleasure, ma'am.

Cassie: I didn't think you would be able to get out of jail this soon.

Larry: I had to find a way to get out to take you up on that offer for a smoothy.

Cassie: Well, we don't have the stuff to make smoothies here but Miguel makes great milkshakes. Do you want one?

Nikki: It's late. Mr. Warton has to go home.

Katherine: My driver is outside. He can take him home.

Larry: I can get a cab.

Nikki: It's a good idea. It takes forever for a cab to get out here at night.

Cassie: Good night, Mr. Warton.

Larry: Why don't you call me Larry. We're friends, right?

Cassie: Good night, Larry.

Larry: Good night. Mr. Newman, good evening.

Cassie: Victor, you look surprised. Is something wrong?

Victor: No, my sweetheart. ?

Gina: Are you sure no one is joining you for dinner?

Neil: Not unless I can persuade you to join me for dinner.

Gina: I'm not busy right now.

Neil: I'll take that as a yes.

Gina: How's life treating you?

Neil: I'm not complaining.

Gina: I will say this whether you want me to or not. A handsome man like you shouldn't be dining alone.

Neil: I'm not. I'm having dinner with a lovely, successful restaurateur.

Gina: You know what I mean. There must be an attract I have lady you are interested in. Or is she already taken?

Malcolm: Wow. Beautiful night. Oh, so beautiful lady. How lucky can a guy get?

Alex: Luck has nothing to do with it.

Malcolm: What, you don't believe in luck?

Alex: Sorry.

Malcolm: How about destiny?

Alex: Afraid not.

Malcolm: Come on, sweetness. You have to believe in something now.

Alex: I believe you planned us a very special evening.

Malcolm: All I did was order dinner.

Alex: It smells delicious.

Malcolm: I originally planned a night on the town. I was going to impress the hell out of you.

Alex: You did that without leaving this apartment.

Malcolm: Stop the questions. It's time for some non-verbal communication.

Jack: Ash, life is full of changes. You know that.

Ashley: I do know that. Until recently Brad thought Colleen's place was with Traci and Steve in New York.

Jack: Maybe he misses her.

Ashley: Of course he does. He didn't want to intrude. He said it was because of Abby. Having Abby made him realize he missed out on a lot of years with Colleen.

Jack: I have to say this. I understand that.

Ashley: I understand it too, Jack. That's why my feelings are so disturbing to me.

Jack: This is a normal reaction. We are talking about your husband's ex-wife that happens to be your sister. You and Traci certainly have issues and you certainly have issues over Bradski. And you had to deal with some pretty delicate family situations. I suggest if you deal with those feelings now, you will be better off.

Ashley: Could you put that in writing?

Jack: This is really troubling you, isn't it?

Ashley: Put it this way. I'm happy Traci isn't here to see me go through this.

Olivia: Obviously I have to pry this out of you --

Phyllis: Obviously I have to pry this out of you. Okay. I'm hopelessly in love.

Michael: No clouds on the horizon?

Phyllis: Nope. Just one cloud actually.

Michael: Concerning?

Phyllis: Kids.

Michael: Jack wants them and you don't.

Phyllis: It's really not that black and white. He mentioned wanting children and, you know, the thought of that makes me more than a little nervous.

Michael: Because of Daniel.

Phyllis: Yeah, because of Daniel. The thought of failing as a mother again --

Michael: You are a good mother, Phyllis.

Phyllis: Which is why the judge gave Danny sole custody of my son.

Michael: It's a different situation.

Phyllis: Different situation or not, it makes me nervous. I failed with my son. You know what? I'm just going to have to dazzle him so he forgets. That he wants to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet.

Michael: Well, if anyone can do it, you can.

Phyllis: You're pretty dazzling yourself.

Michael: Yeah.

Phyllis: You know that? When you put your mind to it?

Michael: I suggest you keep your focus on Jack and on your work and you stop worrying about my personal life.

Phyllis: I'm worried about you.

Michael: Why?

Phyllis: Because you're happy and you shouldn't be.

Michael: For crying out loud, Phyllis, why do you have to make a mountain out of everything. The job Christine took is exactly what she needs right now. It's going to restore her energy, not to mention she's bringing in major bucks for the firm. Business is really taking off.

Phyllis: Why do you expect me to believe all of this? Is that what this is about? Okay. Maybe after that slap in the face Christine gave you, maybe you found peace with the situation. (Phone ringing)

Michael: That's my private line.

Phyllis: I'm closer. I'll get it for you. Hello. Who's this?

Isabella: I think I have the wrong number.

Phyllis: Not necessarily. Who is this?

Michael: Yeah.

Isabella: Michael, is that you?

Michael: Yes.

Isabella: Who answered the phone?

Michael: Never mind that. What can I do for you?

Isabella: Paul is moving me to another apartment and then a call came from Christine.

Michael: Now you don't have to go.

Isabella: I don't know. Paul is so upset.

Michael: I'm not surprised.

Isabella: What did you do?

Michael: If it works, it doesn't matter.

Isabella: I'm concerned for Paul. He left here in a terrible state.

Michael: I have to go. I'll be in touch. Bye.

Phyllis: Well, well, well... Fascinating.

Michael: What are you talking about, Phyllis?

Phyllis: The damsel in distress right now on the phone, you're taking full advantage of aren't you, Michael?

Brad: Good idea.

Traci: They hit it off, did they?

Brad: Abby is sound asleep. I think our daughter is not too far behind. I think there's more to it than that.

Traci: What do you mean?

Brad: I am convinced you convinced Colleen to come. I hope you didn't have to twist her arm.

Traci: Why do you say that?

Brad: She hasn't spoken ten words.

Traci: It's a long trip. Is it any wonder she's not herself?

Brad: I was hoping Colleen would come here this summer and spend some time with me. I want to get to know my daughter, Traci, and I want her to get to know me.

Traci: Okay. I think we should take it one step at a time.

Brad: See how this little visit goes first?

Traci: Yeah, I think that's best.

Brad: Okay. We'll hold off. I don't want to come on too strong.

Traci: Brad, I'm sure you and your daughter are going to get along great.

Ashley: Honey, I’m home.

Brad: Hi.

Ashley: Well, my God. What are you doing here, Traci?

Malcolm: I've added up all the hours you have billed your clients and my calculations you must be 193 years old. I'm playing. You're not offended are you?

Alex: No, no. The photographer dies and goes to the pearly gates.

Malcolm: Yeah, I heard it. I don't know why they keep doing that?

Alex: You can dish it out but you can't take it.

Malcolm: You better stop with the tickling. You will get hurt.

Alex: I'm glad you decided to keep things low-key. I like kicking back and laughing, getting to know one another better.

Malcolm: Without a bunch of loud music and dancing getting in the way?

Alex: Nothing against clubbing. But being with you like this --

Malcolm: Hey, hey, shh. Alex, I feel the same way. It's hard to break old habits though.

Alex: What do you mean?

Malcolm: I mean, my first instinct is always to go out. It goes back to when I was a teenager. Getting the partying on was always my way of dealing with stuff.

Alex: You mean the problems between you and your brother?

Malcolm: Neil was part of it, yeah. My mother was most of it.

Alex: Oh. You and your mother didn't get along?

Malcolm: You know what, Alex? Everyone's got something. Me, I'd rather just get over it, you know?

Alex: Yeah, yeah. I remember what you said about feeling special to Neil. Is that because your mother didn't make you feel special in your own right? Or is it more complicated than that?

Victor: To answer your question, sweetheart, it was a very long flight. I guess I’m more tired than I thought I would be.

Cassie: That's why you're quiet?

Victor: Why don't you go and have Miguel fix you that milkshake. What's going on?

Nikki: I will be very happy to tell you if you'll stop that tone with me.

Victor: You tell me not to use this tone with you. What the hell are you doing bringing Larry Warton in this house? The man's a convicted felon. He helped frame our son.

Nikki: Actually it was our son that convinced me that Larry deserves a second chance.

Victor: You can't be serious.

Nikki: You have to look at this from Nicholas' point of view. He not only wanted to repay Larry for telling the truth, but he has come to believe there's good in the man. He's reached a point in his life that positive change can happen given the chance. The district attorney is saying he won't let him out on probation without a job. He doesn't want him roaming the streets.

Victor: Where are you going with this?

Nikki: As I said, Nicholas very much wanted to help this man. So I came forward and gave him a job.

Victor: Let me understand this. Larry Warton is out of jail because of you.

Nikki: That's exactly what I’m saying. This trip means so much to us.

Alex: Malcolm, if you don't want to talk about this, if it's too personal.

Malcolm: No, Alex, it's okay. I'm a big boy now. All that stuff was a long time ago.

Alex: Still can't erase those feelings you have as a kid.

Malcolm: Alex, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying my mother didn't love me in her own way. It's just she was always so damn proud of Neil.

Alex: I'm sure she was proud of you too.

Malcolm: I guess. It never felt like it. I'm not one to hold a grudge. Neil was my mother's shining star. No matter what, I couldn't mesh your up in her eyes. I said what the hell, what's the point? And what do you know, I survived. Besides life isn't sunshine and lollipops, you know what I mean?

Alex: True.

Malcolm: Sounds like you know where I'm coming from. You go through something like I did?

Alex: Well, not really. I never really doubted my mother's love.

Malcolm: And what about your pops?

Alex: I never doubted his either, until he left.

Malcolm: Ooo. He just took off?

Alex: Yeah, yeah. It might have been better if I didn't -- if I hadn't felt so loved by him and I wouldn't have missed him so much, and I wouldn't have wondered what I had done wrong and what I could have done to make him stay.

Malcolm: How old were you when they split?

Alex: Twelve.

Malcolm: I'm sorry, Alex. That's a tough age, not that there's an easy one but --

Alex: Yeah. I was pretty torn up.

Malcolm: Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey. I apologize. I didn't mean to stir it up for you.

Alex: It's okay. I'm okay. It's just I haven't talked about this in a long time with anybody.

Malcolm: It's okay.

Alex: You know. It's getting late. I better get going.

Malcolm: You have to?

Alex: Mm-hmm. Work tomorrow, both of us.

Malcolm: Yeah, you're right. I do have an early shoot.

Alex: Malcolm, you know, I really want to thank you for a wonderful evening. I just hope I didn't bring you down too much talking about my stuff from the past.

Malcolm: Hey, no, not at all. Alex, I wanted to know. Sweetheart, I want to know everything about you. Besides I shared some of my stuff too. I think that makes us even. It just means a lot to me that you felt comfortable enough to open up to me. You hear me? It means a lot. Come here, you.

Victor: How could you do this? I warned you about Larry Warton.

Nikki: I know you did. For a time I shared your concern.

Victor: Until our son swayed your thinking, is that it?

Nikki: I gave this a great deal of consideration.

Victor: Do you realize Larry Warton is a convicted felon?

Nikki: Surely you don't think because somebody spent time in prison doesn't mean they can't be a useful member of society.

Victor: Don't you give me that psychobabble! That man is violent!

Nikki: He's changed.

Victor: What if he hasn't changed? Are you willing to take that risk?

Nikki: There are risks and dangers all around us all the time. Some we are aware of. Some hit us out of the blue. I'm sorry you don't approve. That won't be the first time I’ve done something you disagree with, will it?

Alex: Hi.

Neil: Alex, hi. You looking for Malcolm?

Alex: No, you.

Neil: Hey, why?

Alex: I want you to do me a favor.

Neil: What?

Alex: Dance with me. Please?

Alex: I kept it bottled inside for a long, long time. And even now part of me is afraid of how you might react.

Neil: What are you trying to say?

Alex: Having your arms around me like this. When I look at your eyes, I think you feel the same way.

Neil: Alex, you are so beautiful, so very beautiful. If only --

Alex: No. Please don't.

Neil: You're involved with my brother.

Alex: No. This is about you and me. Right now, at this moment. It's all about us.

Gina: Neil? Neil?

Neil: Gina, I’m sorry. What did you say?

Gina: Would you like some more wine?

Neil: No. No thanks.

Gina: Neil, where were you just now?

Traci: So it was a spur of the moment visit.

Ashley: You don't know how long you're staying?

Traci: I think we're going to play it by ear.

Ashley: I can't wait to see Colleen. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Traci: It'll have to wait until morning.

Brad: Too late. Your daughter is out like a light on the sofa in the spare bedroom. I didn't have the heart to wake her.

Traci: She is exhausted.

Ashley: That settles it. The two of you will have to spend the night here.

Traci: Are you sure? Wouldn't that be an imposition?

Brad: No, not at all. I'll get your bags out of the car.

Traci: Okay. Here are the keys. Thank you, Brad.

Brad: Sure.

Ashley: To you want anything?

Traci: Do you have any orange juice?

Ashley: I think I have some orange juice.

Traci: I can get it. I used to live here. I know where the kitchen is.

Phyllis: You were involved with that woman on the phone in something other than a professional capacity. Michael, this is the first time you're not saying it's my imagination. How long has this been going on?

Michael: Months.

Phyllis: Months? You didn't say anything to me?

Michael: You are going to hound me for details.

Phyllis: Which is what I'm going to do right now. What's her name?

Michael: You don't know her.

Phyllis: Am I going to meet her? Are you throwing me out?

Michael: I am going to escort you in the -- escort you to the door.

Phyllis: My purse.

Michael: Here's your purse, baby.

Phyllis: Am I right about this? Or is this another one of your smoke screens?

Michael: Phyllis, if I were half as smart as you think, I would be retired and lounging on the deck of my yacht. Now give my best to Jack. Yeah, everything is coming together according to plan.

Isabella: Where are you? You should be back by now. How was your walk?

Paul: Didn't help.

Isabella: Sorry. Anything I can get you?

Paul: No.

Isabella: I wish I could help. I hate seeing you so upset.

Paul: Chris called to tell me that she's taken another job. This one's in Australia. She won't be back for months. You know, it's bad enough that she takes this job without discussing it with me first. But to say what she did about you is just unfair.

Isabella: About me?

Paul: I'm sure it comes as no surprise that my wife has a very specific attitude towards you.

Isabella: I didn't know -- I knew she didn't like me being here.

Paul: She started hurling accusations.

Isabella: What exactly did she say?

Paul: Well, in so many words, she accused me of having an affair with you.

Isabella: What?

Paul: Which is so ironic because I have been very faithful to my marriage vows. As hard as it has been for the past few months, I have resisted temptation.

Isabella: It's been hard for me too, Paul. It's been the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life.

Victor: Are you doing this to spite me?

Nikki: What are you talking about?

Victor: How the hell did you allow yourself to get sucked into this?

Nikki: I made this decision on my own, Victor. I was not manipulated.

Victor: I can't believe I’m hearing this.

Nikki: Victor, Nicholas wanted this. Sharon, who suffered more than anyone because of Matt Clark, wanted this. So if it doesn't work out, I will be the first to say you were right.

Victor: I can't believe you do these things. It stuns me every time. You think this has to do with me being right? It has nothing to do with it. Does it cross your mind I'm concerned you might get hurt? The man's a convicted felon with a violent past? Obviously it doesn't concern you, does it? I've done my damnedest not to. I won't from now on. You got that?
