Katherine: Any sign of your daddy, sweetheart?
Nikki: They'll be here soon.
Katherine: They said they're on their way.
Noah: They're here! Daddy's home!
Nicholas: Where's my boy?!
Noah: Yea! Why are you breathing so funny, Daddy?
Nicholas: Because I ran all the way here. I couldn't wait to see you.
Katherine: It's finally over.
Nikki: Thank God.
Miguel: Congratulations, Victoria.
Victoria: Thank you, Miguel. You're looking at a real hero. If it weren't for Ryan, Nicholas wouldn't be here with us.
Katherine: You look wonderful, Nicholas!
Nicholas: I feel wonderful.
Katherine: I told you your daddy was coming home.
Noah: And you're never leaving again, are you, Daddy?
Nicholas: That's right, never. Oh, come on.
Ryan: Welcome home, Nicholas.
Nicholas: Thanks.
Rianna: Don't forget your medication.
Raul: No more triple chocolate cake.
Billy: Been there, done that.
Raul: Yeah, right.
Billy: Hey, Raul, this diabetes thing has got to be rough. We're here for you, all right?
Raul: What's rough is spending one more minute in this place.
Rianna: You know, I was just thinking, we need to throw you a welcome home party.
Raul: Tonight?
Rianna: Whenever you're up for it.
Billy: We can have it at my house.
Mackenzie: Your place is better. That way we won't run into your mom.
Rianna: Yeah, Billy. Mac and I can help out.
Billy: That's all right. Besides, I'm sure Mamie would like to help out. Look, I got to go, all right? Glad to see you getting out of this joint, man.
Raul: Thanks again, man.
Billy: Yeah. Take care my boy, huh?
Rianna: I will.
Billy: See ya later.
Raul: All right. What is going on?
Raul: Come on, Mac. What's the deal with you and Billy?
Mackenzie: I don't know what you're talking about.
Raul: I can see something is going on. Babe, help me out.
Rianna: Maybe you two should talk in private. I'm going to get something to drink.
Mackenzie: Raul, you're finally getting out of the hospital. You don't have to worry about me.
Raul: Last I heard from Rianna, you and Billy were cool.
Mackenzie: Yeah, well not anymore. I messed up, Raul, big-time.
Isabela: That report concerns my case?
Paul: Yes. I have been doing research to find out what threat your husband might pose.
Isabela: Didn’t he make that clear when he sent someone to attack me?
Paul: I realize you prefer I stop digging into the past.
Isabela: What if he sends someone else to come right after me?
Paul: Isabela, we have to keep you safe in the long term. I have been looking into a three-year period where your husband has no tax returns or employment history.
Isabela: That's what the report says.
Paul: Yes.
Isabela: What else?
Paul: Most of the time he managed an escort service in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Isabela: When we were married?
Paul: No, shortly before.
Isabela: Why are you telling me this, Paul?
Paul: Because I think finally the pieces are beginning to fall into place.
Michael: I don't know, Christine. Do you think coming home now is a good idea?
Christine: I'm thousands of miles away from my husband.
Michael: Paul doesn't have time for you. Look, when you spoke to Lynne, did she say anything to lead you to believe a change in attitude on Paul's part?
Christine: Not exactly. I'm sorry I dragged you into this. I'm a little confused right now.
Michael: Look, Christine, you know I'm always here for you. I do have one question. The last time we spoke about your call to Paul, I sensed something else was bothering you.
Christine: I don't want to get into it, Michael.
Michael: You sure?
Christine: Yes, I'm sure.
Michael: Then I'm right. It isn't just his lack of enthusiasm that upset you.
Christine: I just have this bad feeling.
Michael: Don't tell me you think there's another woman.
Christine: I said I don't want to get into it.
Michael: All right. Whether you come home or not is up to you. You have another option, one I hope you'll consider.
Brad: Here she comes.
John: She's adorable.
Ashley: She couldn't understand why she wasn't invited to dinner.
John: I hope she's going to forgive her grandpa.
Gina: I think being a grandfather really agrees with you, John.
John: It does indeed. It amazes me how some people are afraid of being a grandparent. I look at this precious child, I feel ten years younger. Hello. Hi. You are adorable. Yeah.
Isabela: What are you talking about, Paul? It happened a long time ago.
Paul: It wasn't that long.
Isabela: I still don't see the point.
Paul: It gives us a profile of the kind of people your husband was associated with. Escort services are notorious covers for prostitutions with links to organized crime. Isabela, we have to get to the bottom of this. It's also possible it's not as bad as it appears.
Isabela: If criminals are involved, wouldn't it be worse to stir them up?
Paul: That's my job.
Isabela: It could happen. You could lead them right back to us.
Paul: You have every right to be concerned. But something else is going on. Something that's frightening you very much. And I want to know what it is.
Christine: You have another option for me?
Michael: Remember when you first found out you had that week off and we talked about getting you some R & R?
Christine: Which is why I was going to meet Paul in Hawaii.
Michael: That didn't pan out.
Christine: What's your point, Michael?
Michael: I did something crazy.
Christine: What?
Michael: When you said you wouldn't be seeing Paul, I popped over on this website about this incredible resort in Fiji.
Christine: Fiji?
Michael: I booked you a reservation, Christine.
Christine: You did what?
Michael: I knew you needed time off so I booked you a spot.
Christine: That's nice of you.
Michael: You're not upset?
Christine: Going to a place like that alone --
Michael: I came up with a solution. I booked a reservation for myself as well. Two bungalows. Yours has an ocean view, incredibly beautiful.
Christine: You thought you'd join me?
Michael: You just said you didn't want to be alone. If my being there is a problem… Look, I think we could both use a break. We have been going full tilt since we started this partnership. We could relax. We could catch up on business at our own pace. You get a taxi, go to the airport. There's a ticket waiting for you at the Trans Global Airline. It's there for you. All you have to do is ask.
Christine: I can't.
Michael: What you can't do is sit in your room all week going over briefs.
Christine: And you're right.
Michael: I know I am.
Christine: Going off to some beautiful island right now won't work for me. Not in the mood I'm in.
Michael: All right. So what are you saying? You coming home after all?
Christine: I doubt it. I think I will take the week to assess things.
Michael: You can't assess things in Fiji?
Christine: I have been so involved here I haven't been able to deal with my marriage. If I went to Fiji, it would be an escape.
Michael: Sometimes that's a good thing.
Christine: I have to stay put and figure out where things stand with Paul. But thank you for thinking of me. Why don't you go? Take a friend. As you said, you deserve it. I'll talk to you soon.
Raul: So you were Clean Queen all along? No wonder Billy's flipping.
Mackenzie: Told you I messed up big time.
Raul: He must have spilled his guts out to you.
Mackenzie: And now he feels exposed.
Raul: What did he say?
Mackenzie: I don't want to get into it.
Raul: Was it pretty heavy stuff?
Mackenzie: What do you think?
Raul: Don't tell me he got into his feelings for you.
Mackenzie: Raul, that's not the point. Billy has feelings for me. It doesn't matter because he's still sleeping with Brittany. It's like I opened this huge can of worms.
Raul: You couldn't be happy just being friends.
Mackenzie: I've blown that, too.
Raul: Most of this was Brittany's fault. You found out she lied about them sleeping together last summer.
Mackenzie: I want to rip her hair out. This thing with Clean Queen started way before that.
Raul: Maybe this is just the same old thing. You can't let go of Billy.
Mackenzie: Even if that's true, why couldn't I just ask him?
Raul: It's hard to lay everything out on the line. You didn't know if he was going to tell you the truth.
Mackenzie: With Clean Queen he thought I was a stranger.
Raul: That's why he opened up so much.
Mackenzie: The weird thing is I finally know how Billy feels.
Raul: You going to do anything about it?
Mackenzie: What's the point? He can't stand being in the same room with me. Now I've ruined everything. I should have mind -- I've ruined everything. I should have minded my own business. I'm sure Rianna wants to spend time alone with her man. I'm really glad you're getting out of here. Man, I need you.
Mamie: That's a wonderful idea, Billy.
Billy: I figured after everything he's been through he needs a party.
Mamie: Anything you need, just say it.
Billy: Well, I can't cook.
Mamie: If there's anything special you want me to prepare just let me know.
[Doorbell sounding]
Billy: Hey, Brit.
Brittany: I was hoping you would be back from the hospital. Oh, hi, Mamie. I didn't see you.
Mamie: How are you, Brittany?
Brittany: I'm great, thanks.
Mamie: You let me know about that dinner, Billy. Oh, what about a dessert? I should do some research to find something that's not too sweet.
Billy: Yeah, yeah. Thanks, Mamie.
Brittany: Throwing a party?
Billy: Yeah, for Raul.
Brittany: He's finally out of the hospital?
Billy: He's on his way home now.
Brittany: That's nice. I have an idea. Why don't we throw the party in the pool house? We can check it out right now.
Billy: You go ahead. I forgot to ask Mamie something.
Brittany: Don't be long.
Billy: Okay.
Ryan: It still blows me away; Warton came through for you.
Nicholas: I owe him a lot.
Victor: Son, I would rather err on the side of caution. If Larry Warton is released, I will make sure he's as far away from Genoa City as possible.
Nikki: I could see Warton looking at you and Cassie in the courtroom.
Sharon: I noticed him watching us too, but not in a bad way.
Katherine: Do you think he was acting out of sympathy for you?
Sharon: Why else would he change his mind about testifying? It's funny. He and Cassie became pretty friendly.
Katherine: You're kidding.
Sharon: They had a nice talk. It's the only time I have seen Larry Warton smile.
Katherine: You let that man carry on a conversation with your daughter?
Sharon: I was hoping if he met her and saw how much Nicholas loved our little girl, that it would make a difference.
Nikki: Apparently, he did.
Sharon: We will never know why he changed his mind and testified on Nick's behalf. Just thank God he did.
Nicholas: Hey, guys, if I could have your attention for a few seconds, I would like to say a few words.
Gina: I had a wonderful evening, John.
John: Oh, I had too.
Gina: It would be nice to do it again.
John: I would like that very much.
Gina: The only problem is we have to get you out of the office.
John: We have to get you out of the kitchen.
Gina: All right. I'll try if you do.
John: Deal.
Brad: Hope I'm not interrupting.
John: I'm glad you're here because I have a proposition for Gina. Not that kind of proposition. I have been giving some thought about the renovation you're planning.
Gina: I could use the help.
John: You say there's an empty space next-door. Instead of renovating and expanding, what about a new restaurant with a different feel, different look, attract new clientele?
Ashley: I think it's a great idea.
Brad: I like it.
Gina: So do I.
Ashley: What about Mama Rella's?
John: There's only one name it could be called. Gina's Too, t-o-o. What do you think of that, Miss Roma?
Gina: I think I'll have your dad plan the menu, too.
Nicholas: The love and support you have shown Noah, Cassie and me kept us going when things looked so bad. Thanks to my dad, things look a whole lot better now. I'm serious, Dad. You're an amazing father. And, Mom, you're pretty amazing, too. You two were the rock that my little family could count on when I wasn't around. I love you both so much.
Nikki: We love you too, sweetheart.
Nicholas: Vic, you kept my chin up when I didn't think there was a way to get out of this. Ryan, I -- I'd still be in jail if it wasn't for you.
Ryan: Glad I could help, buddy.
Nicholas: I know you're going through a rough time with everything that Tricia is going through. Don't forget, I'm your friend. I'm here if you need me. And Katherine, you're more than just a friend of the family. You're a part of this family. Thank you for everything. Paul and John were not able to be here with us tonight but I intend to thank them for everything they did just as soon as I see them. Sharon, Cassie and Noah, you guys are my family. And I can never explain to you how much you mean to me or how much I missed you. I just love you all so much. Come here. You mean everything to me. So thank you, everyone, for everything you did helping me become a free man.
Katherine: We're glad you're home, Nicholas. Darling, I have to run.
Nikki: Katherine, thank you so much.
Victor: Nice to see you, Katherine. Thank you for coming by, sweetheart.
Katherine: Absolutely. Goodbye, everyone. Welcome home again.
Miguel: Cassie, Noah, guess what time it is.
Cassie: Do we have to, Mommy?
Sharon: Afraid so.
Nicholas: I'll be down to tuck you in in a little bit, okay?
Victor: Bye, sweetheart. You both sleep well, okay? Nighty-night.
Noah: Daddy, are you home for good?
Nicholas: Yeah, son, I'm home for good.
Isabela: We’re talking about digging up God knows what.
Paul: I'm talking about --
Isabela: It's been weeks, Paul. No one's followed me. I've been completely safe.
Paul: We can't just stop investigating.
Isabela: Why not?
Paul: Maybe you're not being tailed at the moment. Who's to say that whoever is after you won't come back? Isabela, I'm not going to take that chance.
Isabela: What are you saying?
Paul: I need to find out everything I possibly can about your husband if I'm going to protect you.
Isabela: You think I'm holding something back?
Paul: Are you? So what is it, Isabela? What is it you're so afraid that I'm going to find out?
Isabela: I need to go.
Paul: What about dinner?
Isabela: Tell your mother I'm sorry. Maybe another time.
Mitch: You ready, Miss Brogna? What's up, Lynne?
Lynne: What do you mean, Mitch?
Mitch: Miss Brogna said you needed to see me.
Lynne: Mitch and I went in the hall, Isabela was gone.
Paul: I knew she was upset.
Lynne: About the report on her husband?
Paul: She's afraid I'm going to stir things up again.
Lynne: I understand where she's coming from, but to just take off?
Paul: She claims she's not holding anything back.
Lynne: But you think she is.
Paul: I'm certain of it.
Lynne: Why wouldn't she open up to you, boss?
Paul: That's a good question, Lynne. Very good question.
John: Bradley, there's something that I've been meaning to say to you. Now as you know, I had reservations when I first learned that you and Ashley were getting married.
Brad: Because of Traci.
John: Yes. You assured me you loved her very much and you would take care of her and her baby.
Brad: I did, John.
John: And you made Ashley a very happy woman and I want you to know I am very happy about that.
Brad: Thank you.
Rianna: Mac gone?
Raul: The coast is clear.
Rianna: Did she tell you?
Raul: About the computer chats with Billy? Yeah.
Rianna: I hate seeing those two like this.
Raul: I know what you mean.
Rianna: But I have some good news. Your parents are here.
Raul: Are they signing me out?
Rianna: Mm-hmm. A few more minutes, and you'll be on your way.
Raul: Great.
Rianna: Baby, what is it?
Raul: Billy and Mac.
Rianna: What about them?
Raul: It just seems like one big misunderstanding to me.
Rianna: So?
Raul: Before this whole thing, I wouldn't have said anything. But now --
Rianna: Things have changed.
Raul: If I could talk my folks into letting me drive you home, could we make one stop first?
Brittany: Take that, Mac.
Billy: What's with the grin?
Brittany: Just thinking about how great things are now. You're happy. I'm happy. Just in time for summer.
Billy: Only a couple weeks away.
Brittany: There is one downer. Mackenzie. I ran into her earlier. She was talking to Rianna when she spilled the beans about Clean Queen.
Billy: Did you tell her?
Brittany: It was me? Of course I did. She went off that I was wrong about telling you the truth. Talk about hypocritical after what she's pulled. I don't see how you can still be friends with her.
Katherine: Oh, good you're home. I have some wonderful news.
Mackenzie: What is it, Grandma?
Katherine: I was out to the Newman ranch and Nicholas has been acquitted.
Mackenzie: That's terrific. I have good news, too. Raul is finally being let out of the hospital.
Katherine: That is good news after everything that poor lad's been through. That calls for a celebration. We should give him a party. He certainly deserves it.
Mackenzie: That's what I said. But Billy wants to have it at his place.
Katherine: Is something going on between you and Billy?
Mackenzie: No. Same old stuff.
Katherine: Same old stuff. I thought you two were friends again.
Mackenzie: Could we talk about something else, please?
Katherine: You're still upset.
Mackenzie: I don't want to waste any more time talking about Billy.
Katherine: All right, all right, all right. What would you prefer to talk about, young lady?
Mackenzie: What I'm going to do for the summer?
Katherine: Work for the Glow by Jabot House?
Mackenzie: No. I want to do something different. I want to
[music throughout]
Ashley: Gina, I'm so happy you could join us.
Gina: I had a wonderful time.
Ashley: So did my dad.
John: Are you ready, Gina?
Gina: If we must.
John: Thank you again for a lovely evening.
Ashley: It was our pleasure. I'll show you out.
Gina: Bye.
Ashley: Bye.
Brad: Well?
Ashley: Wasn't my dad terrific? I am so relieved. That's such a load off my mind.
Brad: Good.
Ashley: It was great.
Katherine: You want to get away this summer?
Mackenzie: Yeah. This guy spoke to us in an assembly. He works in Central America building houses for poor people. I think it would be great to see another part of the world, helping poor people. Dad would be totally psyched.
Katherine: I'm sure he would. Have you really thought this through?
Mackenzie: I like the sound of it.
Katherine: The getting away part?
Mackenzie: All of it.
Katherine: Well, it sounds like an adventure.
Mackenzie: You don't think it's a good idea, do you?
Katherine: I think you need to look into it further.
Mackenzie: Is that it?
Katherine: Sweetheart, if you want to go away this summer, you have my support 100%. But if you're going away because of one Billy Abbott, then I have to say --
Mackenzie: Billy? This has nothing to do with him.
Katherine: Are you so sure?
Mackenzie: What are you getting at?
Katherine: Mackenzie, if you go away this summer, whatever you're running from, don't you understand it will still be waiting for you right here when you return?
Billy: Brittany, I don't need you fighting my battles for me.
Brittany: That's not what I'm doing.
Billy: That's what it sounds like.
Brittany: If you think Mac's your friend--
Billy: You want to know how I feel about Mackenzie?
Brittany: If we have to put up with her all summer.
Billy: That's not a problem.
Brittany: You don't want her to be part of the Glow by Jabot House?
Billy: I doubt she will, either.
Brittany: She'll be too busy hooking one J.T. Maybe her grandmother will take her on to a long trip to Hawaii.
Billy: I don't need her to disappear here.
Brittany: It will make things a lot easier.
Billy: Can we stop talking about Mac, please?! Raul, man, what are you doing here?
Raul: Is this a bad time?
Brittany: No. We were just planning your party. It's good to see you up and around, Raul.
Raul: Thanks.
Billy: Raul, you just got out of the hospital. Shouldn't you be home taking it easy?
Raul: Brit, Rianna is waiting in the car. Would you mind?
Billy: It can't until tomorrow morning?
Raul: This is going on too long. I spoke to Mac. I know what happened.
Billy: Listen, Raul, look --
Raul: It looks like you two got your signals crossed in a big way. It's time.
Brad: I'm glad you're re-assured.
Ashley: I was so worried.
Brad: I know. Maybe we got your dad at a bad couple of days.
Ashley: Thanks for making this evening happen.
Brad: You're welcome. I figured the sooner I could put your mind at ease, the sooner you could concentrate on other things.
Ashley: Like what?
Brad: The baby is down for the night, our company's gone. We have the whole house to ourselves. Maybe you could use your imagination.
Ashley: I am. I'm fantasizing already.
Brad: Are you?
Mamie: Wow. Somebody's been out painting the town.
John: I was at Ashley and Brad's. Gina was there.
Mamie: Sounds like a nice evening.
John: It was a terrific evening. You know what? I think I'm going to top it off with a nightcap. Would you like one?
Mamie: Oh, no thanks.
Mamie: What is it, John?
John: Where are the brandy glasses?
Mamie: In the sideboard.
John: What on earth are they doing there?
Mamie: It was your idea to move them.
John: It was?
Mamie: When we re-organized the bar almost five years ago?
John: Oh, of course. Of course. I haven't had a brandy in quite a while. It must have slipped my mind.
Nicholas: We should go home soon.
Sharon: Home hasn't felt like home for so long.
Nicholas: The kids will be asleep soon. I love you so much.
[Knock on door]
Michael: The trip is off, and no, I don't want to discuss it.
Chantal: You want me to cancel anything?
Michael: Tomorrow. Good night, Chantal.
Chantal: Good night.
Michael: What are you doing here?
Isabela: I want out, Michael.
