Clint: Natalie. Sweetheart, what's the matter?

Natalie: I still can't believe it.

Antonio: Is Jessica in there?

Clint: Is your mother with her?

Natalie: What are you two talking about? What's going on with mom and Jess?

Tess: [As Jessica] Mom, what are you doing here?

Niki: [As Viki] Well, I might ask you the same thing, young lady.

Nash: Ms. Davidson, I'm sorry this isn't playing out exactly how you'd like.

Niki: Who the hell are you -- to presume to know what I would or would not like, hmm?

Nash: I don't --

Niki: Back off.

Tess: Hey! What's your problem?

Matthew: And Nebraska -- Lincoln. Nevada -- Carson city. New Hampshire -- Concord. You know, it's a whole lot funner when you quiz me.

Paige: Can I help?

Matthew: Did you talk to dad?

Paige: Not this morning.

Matthew: He never came home last night, did he?

Paige: Well, he's got a big case he's working on.

Matthew: Yeah, I know. Some guys trying to escape from jail. I saw it on the news. If something happens to dad and mom stays like this, will you take care of me?

Layla: Oh, my God, Vange, you scared me. How long have you been standing there? You look terrible.

Layla: Here.

Evangeline: Thanks.

Layla: When did you get in last night?

Evangeline: Late.

Layla: I didn't even hear you. I was hoping you met some handsome man, but from the looks of it --

Evangeline: It's good coffee you got here.

Layla: Ok. Spill it. What did John do now?

[Gunshot]

John: That was a rifle shot.

Cristian: Sounds like it came from the roof.

John: If the feds controlled the roof, this thing would be over. Must be Hesser's men.

Cristian: But we haven't heard anything for a while now. You thinking --

John: They are shooting at our guys.

Rex: Bo! Bo! Bo!

Agent Arlen: Find out where that shot came from. Cover the rooftops.

Rex: No, no, no! Officer down! Call an ambulance!

Clint: We have been looking all night for Viki and Jessica -- or I should say Tess.

Natalie: You think she's Tess again?

Antonio: Yes, and probably with Nash Brennan.

Clint: Natalie, we are pretty sure that Niki Smith is back, as well.

Natalie: Oh, my God.

Antonio: Look, Clint, I'm going to go inside. I'm going to talk to Mac, see if they saw Jessica, ok?

Clint: All right. Honey, let's go inside. I don't want you getting cold.

Clint: I know, dear, that it's a lot to deal with.

Natalie: You have no idea, dad. There's a lot more going on.

Clint: Well, what's happening?

Natalie: Do you know what's going on with the whole Statesville thing?

Clint: Well, kind of. You know, I haven't been following it closely. I've been a little busy with your mother and your sister. Why?

Natalie: I don't even know how to say this.

Clint: What?

Natalie: The man that was pretending to be Cristian, the man that killed Tico, he -- dad, Cristian's still alive.

Paige: You don't have to worry about your dad. Nothing is going to happen to him. He won't let it. He loves you too much.

Matthew: Yeah, but what if he can't help it? The TV said there were snipers at the prison. Somebody already got killed.

Paige: It wasn't him. I just checked with the station. They said they just heard from him a little while ago.

Matthew: I wish he'd come back. Mom's not getting better. She doesn't even move. It's been a long time.

Paige: I know. And if you ever do need me, you know I will be there to take care of you, but I'm not saying that you ever will need that. But I love you, Matthew. I love you as much as if you were my own son. I'm busy.

Spencer: It's urgent.

Paige: Matthew, I'm so sorry. It looks like this can't wait. But I'll be right back, ok? If you're here to intimidate me into keeping quiet about ginger's death this morning --

Spencer: A call has just come in from Statesville. Bo's been shot. They're medivacing him right now.

Paramedic: Pulse, ox 93! We may need to tube him! Let's move! Coming through!

[Sirens]

Rex: I'm going with him!

Paramedic: No room! Stay out of the way!

Rex: Damn! Damn it!

Agent Arlen: Don't just stand there! Get back to your position now! Where do you think you're going?

Rex: There's no way they're flying Bo back without me!

Agent Arlen: But you heard them! There isn't any room!

Rex: Go to hell!

Niki: [As Viki] I do not have a problem. I am simply interested in -- as to why you are here with this guy.

Tess: [As Jessica] Well, we're trying to work things out, you know, because Tess knows Nash so well.

Niki: Oh, yes, well -- and Tess doesn't mind that you are with Nash?

Tess: No, she doesn't. They have a lot of issues to work out, and there's a lot of things that Je-- that I don't know about, and with the baby on the way --

Niki: The baby?

Tess: Yeah, the baby. And, you know, also the fact that we don't know who the father is.

Niki: Have you been sleeping around?

Nash: Listen, whatever happened before Tess and I were together I think is beside the point, don't you --

Tess: Nash.

Nash: Yeah.

Tess: Could you just give me a minute alone with my mother?

Nash: You sure?

Tess: I'm positive.

[Normal voice] Hey, hey.

Niki: What?

Tess: Come here. Well, this is interesting.

Niki: Oh, yes, yes, it is interesting. It's very interesting, isn't it, that we're both here in the same place at the same time in the middle of nowhere.

Tess: Yeah. And how would you even know about a place like this, right, mom? Huh?

Niki: Yeah, well --

Tess: Niki, is that you?

Clint: Cristian's alive? But I thought --

Natalie: That someone was impersonating him. That's what he wanted all of us to believe.

Clint: Why would he lie about such a thing?

Natalie: I mean, at first he didn't know, he didn't remember anything. And then when he got his memory back, it was after everything had gone bad. He had killed Tico. He was going to spend the rest of his life in prison. He just didn't want to put me through that, so he just checked out.

Clint: Well, what about his mother and what about Antonio?

Natalie: Well, I guess he did it for them, too. He did it for all of us that he loved, that he still loves.

Clint: Maybe this is why, sweetheart, what it's doing to you right now.

Natalie: I mean, dad, there's a chance. I mean, Evangeline -- she found who Cristian really was, and she talked him into letting her take his case. She wants to file an appeal.

Clint: An appeal? Based on what? If Cristian killed a man --

Natalie: Well -- ok, he wasn't in his right state of mind. Carlo Hesser brainwashed him. And the thing is unless Cristian can prove this, none of this even matters. Cristian will die in that prison, if he's even still alive.

Clint: Now, how can you know that all this is true? How do you know --

Natalie: I know, dad.

Clint: That Cristian, or whoever it is --

Natalie: It's him.

Clint: Isn't lying to you now?

Natalie: It's him. I know it is.

Clint: Well, then, honey, I don't know what to tell you.

Natalie: I mean, how can none of us have realized? How can you not know someone that you love when you're looking them straight in the eye?

Man: Public works is ready with the power, as soon as you give the word.

Agent Arlen: Tell them to go ahead. Hesser, this is agent Arlen of the F.B.I. start talking.

Carlo: Isn't that government property?

Agent Arlen: Hesser!

Carlo: That's right. Agent Arlen, isn't it?

Hayes: And he's freaked out. You know, it looks like he slept in his clothes.

Carlo: I assume you're the beleagured gentleman in the rumpled suit. Please accept my thanks for restoring electricity. Now, tell me, did commissioner Buchanan suffer much?

Evangeline: John could be dead. And if by some miracle he's still alive, he may not make it through the day.

Layla: What?

Evangeline: John and Cristian are trapped in the prison riot up at Statesville.

Layla: Wait a minute. Are you talking about Antonio's brother, Cristian?

Evangeline: Yeah. That's where I was last night, waiting outside the gates with Natalie. We saw Cristian get shot. I don't know what happened to john, no one does, and the only reason why I'm still here is because Bo sent me home with a police escort.

Layla: Ok, back up a minute. I thought Antonio's brother was dead.

Evangeline: Yeah, so did everyone else, including Natalie, but I told her the truth, that not only is her husband alive, but we might have just seen him killed. I totally messed up, Layla, and it could cost John and Cristian their lives.

John: That shot we heard --

Cristian: Yeah, it must have been Bo. If he's --

John: Let's not jump to that.

Cristian: Yeah, but even if he's just hurt, he's not in charge anymore.

John the feds' only priority is taking control of the prison. Everything else is collateral damage.

Cristian: We're on our own.

Carlo: While it would be my desire to take each and every one of you with me on my journey, I'm afraid there is hardly enough room on the helicopter. But rest assured, you will all be compensated for your loyalty. Now, I have a message for special agent Arlen, who has so kindly taken charge in commissioner Buchanan's untimely departure. I have changed my demands. I am well aware of the briefcase, of the transmitter and the marked currency. You law men are nothing if not predictable. So, I have another idea. You'll be hearing from me soon. Until then --

John: We'd better move fast. I worked with Arlen once. He's not going to wait for Hesser's next move. I wouldn't.

Cristian: But I need Hesser to make it out of here alive. Without his confession --

John: You're never leaving this place, I know.

Hayes: I loved the "Voice of God" thing over the P.A. They must be having a cow out there. So -- what's plan b?

Carlo: I need a hostage.

Hayes: Well, don't look at me.

Carlo: I have someone much more special in mind.

Hayes: Well --

Cristian: Forget about that.

John: It worked getting those doors open, didn't it? Now we need to use it for what it was made for.

Cristian: You destroyed the damn thing.

John: Yeah, I remember putting a few of these together in the field. They're all e same.

Cristian: All right, then hurry up. The sooner you wire me, the sooner I can get Hesser's confession on tape and get the hell out of here.

John: Even with that tape, we're not getting out of here that easy.

Cristian: Not sitting here fooling with a busted recorder. Look, the guy's using the P.A. system. It must mean he's in the warden's office. I say we go there, make him confess over the speaker for everybody to hear. Come on.

John: You want to get your head blown off? We'll get you out of here, but we stick to the plan, at least for now.

Cristian: Then stop talking and fix the damn thing.

Cristian: I wonder if Natalie's still out there.

John: No way of knowing.

Cristian: Hope she's all right. I hope she didn't see her uncle get shot.

Natalie: I was at Statesville because of John. And I'm -- I saw Cristian. I didn't even know -- I didn't know it was him, and he was taking Carlo Hesser to the front gate.

Clint: Well, now, what does Hesser got to do with all of this?

Natalie: He's the ringleader. He was trying to escape, and that's what started this whole mess, and -- so Cristian had a gun at Hesser. And it looked like everything was going to work out, and then somebody shot him.

Clint: Cris?

Natalie: Yeah, and I was -- I was staring right at him, and I didn't know. I mean, John came back out. He -- he dragged Cristian back inside. I don't know if he was shot. I mean, all hell was breaking loose. I couldn't tell.

Clint: I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I had no idea.

Natalie: I just -- I feel so useless, you know? I was there, and uncle Bo sent me and Evangeline home, and now I've got this cop on me. He won't let me go back up there.

Clint: Well, now, now, that's a good thing.

Natalie: My husband is up there! I mean, he's been up there for I don't even know how long, and no one bothered to tell me.

Clint: Listen, I am not defending anyone. I'm just saying the situation -- the amnesia, murder -- it overwhelmed Cristian. And I'm sure that, wrong as it was, he thought he was doing what was best for you.

Natalie: I just hated him. I hated him for months. I mean, I loved my Cristian. My God, I don't even know if he's even all right, if John is ok, either.

Clint: And he shouldn't have lied to you.

Natalie: Yeah, well, he wasn't the only one. John knew, too.

Clint: For how long?

Natalie: Since Cristian went to prison. John knows everything about Cristian and what he did.

Antonio: What does John know about my brother?

Tess: Niki? Is that really you?

Niki: [As Viki] How could you bring up Niki Smith at a time like this?

Tess: Oh, come on, can that�s a bad impression, Niki. I know it's you.

Niki: How?

Tess: Because I probably know you better than anybody, even better than Viki. Huh -- wow. I never thought I'd see you again. So how'd you get out? What, did you push past Viki to come find me?

Niki: [Normal voice] And what are you going to do, rat me out to daddy, you little brat?

Tess: You don't know who I am.

Niki: Of course I know who you are. You're Jessica! If you think you're going to freak me out to turn back into your mother, you got another -- what -- what's so funny?

Tess: Because I'm not Jessica. I'm Tess.

Niki: Who the hell is Tess?

Tess: News flash, Niki. You're not the only alter in town.

Paige: What's the word on commissioner Buchanan?

Nurse: I don't have any details, just that he's coming in.

Spencer: I took the call, Paige. G.S.W. to the neck. There's no exit wound as far as the medics can see. We hope that his spine hasn't been severed, all right? They're trying to stabilize him as best they can so we can get him straight into the operating room as soon as he gets here. I'm going to scrub up.

Paige: No, you are not going to lay a finger on Bo. Do you hear me?

Spencer: Don't be a fool, Paige. I am the most qualified surgeon in this hospital for this.

Paige: That is what you said about Ginger, and now she's being wheeled down to the morgue.

Spencer: I did everything I could to help Ginger.

Paige: Yeah, and it wasn't enough --

Spencer: I know.

Paige: So you stay away from Bo.

Spencer: I don't care what you think about me, all right? I am Bo's best shot, and you know it. Now, if you want your boyfriend to live, just stay out of my way, all right?

Rex: Move, move, move! Coming through! Out of the way! Move!

Spencer: Vitals?

Paramedic: Pressure, 80 palp. Pulse, 130, extensive hemorrhaging.

Paige: Bo? Bo, it's Paige. Can you hear me?

Paramedic: He's unresponsive.

Rex: Look, I tried getting him help as fast as I could.

Paige: You were there?

Paramedic: We couldn't keep him off the chopper. We were wasting time.

Rex: Well, I didn't want anything to happen to him.

Paige: It's ok. It's all right.

Matthew: Dad? Dad!

Rex: No, no, no, no, no, no!

Matthew: Dad? Dad?

Rex: Shh.

Matthew: What happened? Dad!

Matthew: Dad!

Spencer: Get the trauma team down here.

Matthew: Dad.

Spencer: Spin a crit, two units, o-negative, cross and type six units, and get the x-ray unit down here now.

Paige: No, you heard me. You are not operating on Bo.

Spencer: What do you think I'm going to do, Paige? Do you think I'm going to kill Bo Buchanan on my table? That's more your speed. Listen to me -- you take care of your boyfriend's son. I'm going to go try to save his father's life.

[Monitor beeps]

Paige: Matthew, come with me, hon.

Matthew: What happened to dad?

Paige: He got shot, honey.

Matthew: He's going to be ok, isn't he?

Paige: I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that he's all right, ok? You don't worry. I need to go back there and see how he's doing, all right? Are you going to be ok out here by yourself?

Rex: I'll stay with him, yeah.

Paige: Ok, thanks. Ok, I'll come right back out as soon as I know anything, ok? Try not to worry too much.

Matthew: Ok. Is that my dad's blood?

Rex: Uh -- yeah. I was there. Yeah.

Matthew: Well, why?

Rex: Oh, I was trying to help your dad got mad and he told me to leave. He didn't want me to get hurt.

Matthew: I got to go.

Rex: No, no, no, no, no, no. Matthew, stay here. It's going to be ok.

Matthew: No, it's not ! Nothing's ok! Everything's terrible!

Nurse: Pressure's 70/40.

Spencer: More gauze.

Paige: What's his pulse?

Nurse: 130.

Spencer: Get that blood up. What's his pressure?

Nurse: Dropping, 70/38.

Paige: Fluids wide open. Come on, Bo. Hang in there.

Spencer: I don't like the way his chest sounds. I need a chest tube, please.

Nurse: B.P., 40 palp.

[Monitor alarm]

Spencer: Oh, he's crashing.

Paige: Nope. Run the blood to the infuser. What's his sat?

[Monitor flat lines]

Spencer: Asystole. Start C.P.R.

Paige: Go bag him.

Spencer: Amp. Of EPI!

Paige: Come on, Bo.

Spencer: Charging.

Layla: Ok, I'm lost. I've been watching this prison riot for two days now and you were right in the middle of it and you didn't bother to let me know so I can worry sick about you?

Evangeline: I wasn't in any danger.

Layla: Ok, they had half of the state on lockdown, and from what I saw on TV, there were bullets spraying everywhere.

Evangeline: Well, it's more of a standoff, really.

Layla: Yeah, and Antonio's dead brother.

Evangeline: Ok. You remember that D.N.A. test that you stole from John's closet? As crazy as this sounds, it's the key to the whole thing because it proves that Cristian Vega is alive. That guy that was pretending to be him is the real thing, and Natalie had no idea.

Layla: Neither did Antonio, obviously.

Evangeline: Well, Cristian wanted to make sure he could get out of prison before he told anybody.

Layla: And you were defending him because if Natalie's dead husband came back, John would be free.

Evangeline: That is not why. Damn it. Why does everyone keep accusing me of that?

Layla: Because you're still head over heels in love with the guy?

Evangeline: I am defending Cristian Vega because it is the right thing to do. But you know what? None of that matters anymore. Statesville prison is maximum security, and the prisoners have control. They are armed, they are angry, and what do you think is going to happen when they realize they have a cop for a hostage?

Layla: They can use him as a bargaining chip.

Evangeline: Or they could kill him just for spite. Layla, I should have listened to my gut. I should have listened to my gut and told the truth about Cristian to somebody, to anybody. I'm telling you, if -- if John and Cristian are killed, I'm going to blame myself.

Carlo: Huh. The only one who can get us out of here is a police officer, so bring me John Mc Bain.

Hayes: Ah! God, Carlo.

Carlo: Alive.

Hayes: And if your pal Cristian Vega gets in the way, what then?

Carlo: Mc Bain is no good to us dead. Vega -- hmm. Do with him what you will.

Antonio: So what does John know about Cristian?

Natalie: Well, I was just telling dad about how involved John was in Cristian's case.

Antonio: Oh, you mean the fake trying to pass himself off as Cristian?

Natalie: Yeah. And I was explaining to dad that that was the beginning of John and me and how I still have feelings for Cristian.

Antonio: Sure, you do. We all do. But there's nothing we can do about that now.

Natalie: Yeah.

Clint: So, did you find out anything?

Antonio: Yeah, I spoke to the waitress. She recognized Viki from last night.

Clint: And was Jessica with her?

Antonio: She was alone.

Natalie: Is she sure?

Antonio: Well, Viki left without paying. Look, I think I might know a way we might be able to find her.

Clint: Ok.

Antonio: Let's go.

Natalie: I'm going with you.

Cristian: I can't do this. I can't just sit here and let the game play me.

John: What are you talking about?

Cristian: I'm not waiting for this wire thing of yours to get fixed. Hesser's up to something. It's been too quiet.

John: Doesn't mean anything.

Cristian: It means he could have gotten out. And I got to find him before he gets too far.

John: You're going to get yourself killed. Cris? Damn it.

Niki: You're an alter? Jessica's got an alter?

Tess: Yeah, thanks to you.

Niki: Me?

Tess: Yes. Viki let you out because she thought it would help cure me, but guess what, Niki -- I don't want to be cured. I like my life, so why don't you go back to where you came from and you can leave me the hell alone.

Niki: Hey, hey, wait a minute. What have I got to do with any of this?

Tess: Oh, as if you don't know.

Niki: No, I don't know.

Tess: Oh, come --

Niki: I take the blame for a lot of stuff, but not you, kid. I ain't taking the blame for you.

Tess: Cut the innocent act, ok?

Niki: Oh, shut up, shut up.

Tess: Oh, I hate you.

Niki: Oh, good for you. I hate you, too.

Tess: I don't need this.

Jessica's voice: You can't go, Tess. I hate her, too, but she's our only hope.

Tess: Shut up. Shut up.

Carlo: Ah! Special agent Arlen?

Agent Arlen: Hesser?

Carlo: That's right. How's commissioner Buchanan, by the way?

Agent Arlen: What's this about, Hesser? We got you everything you wanted. The money's here, the chopper's ready to go. What are you waiting for?

Carlo: I'm waiting for a visitor. He should be here any minute now.

[Hayes groans]

Hayes: Oh, Johnny. Come out, come out wherever you are

Carlo: Don't worry, agent Arlen. It won't be long before my guest arrives and we make our departure.

Inmate: Boss is going to like this.

Second inmate: Anybody who gets in our way is dead meat.

Carlo: You gentlemen better have good news for me.

Inmate: We know where Mc Bain is.

Carlo: We move. Let's go get detective Mc Bain.

Spencer: Clear.

Paige: Sinus rhythm.

[Monitor bps]

Spencer: Get him into O.R. one as soon as they're ready.

Paige: Spencer? Spencer. You are not doing this.

Spencer: You pull rank on me this time, Paige, and not only is your reputation at stake, but your boyfriend's life, as well.

Paige: I saw what happened with Ginger.

Spencer: What is it that you think you saw, Paige?

Paige: You needed her out of the way, and it happened.

Spencer: I did everything humanly possible to try to save Ginger Foley's life because I don't let my personal issues get in the way of my job of saving lives. Now, do you or do you not want the best surgeon you've ever known to save the life of the man of you love? And given Nora's condition, I don't think you want to be responsible for Bo's son becoming an orphan!

Matthew: Mom? Mom, you have to get up! Mom, dad needs you! Mom, just get up! Mom, wake up! Mom! Just wake up! Mom? Mom! Come on!

Nash: Tess? Tess, are you all right?

Tess: I can handle it. Just give me a second.

Nash: Ok.

Jessica's voice: Niki's the reason we're going through this, Tess. Don't you get that? It's her fault, and she's the only one who can stop it.

Tess: Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it!

Nash: All right, that's it. I'm calling Dr. Jamison.

Tess: I said stay out of it!

Niki: Hey, are you for real? You're really not Jessica? You're Tess?

Tess: Isn't that what I just said?

Niki: Yeah. It's unbelievable.

Nash: What in the hell is going on here?

Antonio: I called a friend of mine at the police station and he was able to track Viki's cell phone to this location.

Natalie: Oh, I knew that.

Clint: Look over there. That's Viki's car.

Tess: I know that I hurt you, but what about me? I am screwed up, too. That's why I have to get out of here.

Jessica's voice: We can't leave.

Tess: Well, I am not sticking around here and putting up with any more crap from her!

Nash: Tess, what is going on? Why are you going off on your mom like this? Tess?

Jessica's voice: We can't run, Tess. We need Niki. She can help us.

Tess: No. No, no --

Nash: Ok, ok. Ok.

Matthew: Mom, please wake up. I'm worried about dad. Mom? Mom.

Rex: I had a feeling I'd find you here.

Matthew: I've been trying to wake her up for, like, weeks. She hasn't. But maybe now if she knew about dad --

Rex: If she knew, she would come back to you, Matthew.

Matthew: Was my dad scared when it happened?

Rex: Your dad doesn't get scared too easily.

Matthew: Did it hurt?

Rex: I don't know. He went down pretty fast. I don't think he felt too much of anything.

Matthew: Paige says my mom doesn't feel much, either. But sometimes I wonder.

Rex: If she does?

Matthew: Maybe she hears us and she just can't wake herself back up.

Rex: Yeah, I'd wonder that, too, if I were you. But Paige, she's -- she's a good doctor. She really knows what she's doing.

Matthew: Mom, I'm really sorry if I scared you about dad. You just can't wake yourself back up. I just don't want to lose our dad, do you know?

Rex: Yeah, I know.

Paige: I swear on my life, if you do anything to harm Bo, anything at all --

Spencer: I take that as personal consent to operate.

Nurse: The team's on standby in O.R. one, doctor.

Paige: Tell them I'm scrubbing in.

Spencer: Paige, you're too close to the patient. You can't --

Paige: I'm scrubbing in.

Nurse: I'll let them know.

Spencer: Thank you. This is highly unprofessional. I hope you know that.

Paige: You're still the lead surgeon. I'm just going to be there to watch your every move. Watch out. Bo? Bo, it's Paige. Bo, I love you. God, I hope I'm doing the right thing for you. God help us both if I'm not. Come on. Let's go.

Antonio: Jessica? Jessica, can you hear me?

Nash: I've been taking care of her.

Antonio: Jessica, honey, wake up. Wake up, baby.

Jessica: Antonio.

Antonio: Jess?

Jessica: Oh. What's going on? What happened?

Antonio: I don't know, honey, but I'm going to get you out of here, ok? Come on.

Clint: Sweetheart, I'll call Dr. Jamison. He'll be waiting for you at the house. Hey.

[Clint whistles]

Clint: You stay -- stay put.

Natalie: Jess, if you need me, I'll be here for you, anything you need, ok?

Antonio: Ok, baby.

Natalie: Look, dad, if you want to take mom home in her car, I'll -- I'll catch a ride with the cop that followed me here.
