Jessica: Do you want me to get you something to drink? You haven't eaten since this morning.

Antonio: I'm not hungry.

Jessica: Let me do something for you.

Antonio: Can you get my daughter back?

Jack: Ribbet, ribbet, ribbet. Mommy, you have to try and eat me.

Blair: You know, Jack, I'm really not in the mood right now, but how's your headache, honey? Is it better?

Jack: Uh-huh.

Blair: All right. Well, I'll get Starr over here and she'll -- she'll play the alligator game with you, okay?

Jack: Okay.

Blair: Starr! Where'd she go? Starr -- who is she talking to? Margaret!

Daniel: That bible has been in my family for generations. I'd like it back. Thank you.

Bo: You're going to need it. Theodore Daniel Colson, you're under arrest for the murder of Jennifer Rappaport.

Marcie: What?

Mark: Wait.

Nora: Are you out of your mind?

Harrison: Commissioner, you just bought your resignation.

Nora: Daniel didn't kill Jen. Daniel, tell them how crazy this is. Tell them it's a lie.

Riley: Of course it's a lie. Why are you doing this, Bo? My dad didn't kill Jen. How could you possibly think something like that?

John: We believe Jen caught him planting evidence pointing to her killing Paul Cramer.

Bo: You suffocated Jen and then tried to make it look like she killed herself.

John: But you made a couple mistakes.

Riley: Tell them, Dad.

Daniel: Riley, it's okay. Don't listen to any of this.

Nora: Can you do something to stop this?

Harrison: Yeah. Buchanan, I don't know why you're doing this, but I assure you it's not going to stand.

Bo: I believe it will, Governor.

Nora: I mean -- even you can't think that Daniel's that ambitious that he would kill Jen just to close the Cramer case.

Bo: No, no. The reason he wanted to close the Cramer case is because he was covering his own tracks. I also have an indictment against you for the murder of Paul Cramer.

[Crowd reacts]

Reporter: This is a special report, live from Llanview courthouse. We've just learned that District Attorney Daniel Colson has just been arrested for the murders of Paul Cramer and Jennifer Rappaport.

Jessica: The judge said that she's going to give us six months before she makes her final decision. And you heard her. She also said that she usually sides with the father, so all we have to do is prove that --

Antonio: Prove what, Jess? That I love my daughter? That I love her more than R.J.? What do I need to prove, Jessica?

Jessica: She did say something about your temper.

Antonio: Was I supposed to sit there quietly while she took my daughter away? Six months. You know what six months is? This is six months R.J. has to poison her against me.

Jessica: Antonio, that's not going to happen.

Antonio: Yeah? Why? Hmm? Because he's a standup guy? Because he knows that my daughter would benefit from her father's love?

Jessica: No. Because Jamie loves you and six months of limited visitation is only going to make her want to see you more. Antonio, she's getting older, too, and -- which means that she's going to want to have more say in this.

Antonio: The older she gets is more time I can't get back. I was so stupid giving her away in the first place. I don't know what I was thinking.

Jessica: You weren't stupid. You were trying to protect her from the Santi family.

Antonio: Yeah. Well, I protected her right out of my own life.

Jessica: You still have visitation.

Antonio: Supervised visitation. Like I have to be watched when I'm with her like some common criminal, like I'm a bad influence on my own daughter. This -- this is what she's going to remember, Jess. This is my legacy to Jamie.

Blair: You stay away from my family.

Starr: Mom!

Kelly: Anyway, I'd rather you indulge in sweet things instead of drinking by yourself in the middle of the day.

Kevin: It's club soda.

Reporter: To repeat, we're live here at City Hall, where Daniel Colson's swearing-in has been interrupted by Police Commissioner Bo Buchanan. Now, Commissioner Buchanan has placed the prospective Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania under arrest for the murders of Paul Cramer and Jennifer Rappaport.

Kelly: Oh, my God.

Marcie: Please tell me that you didn't know about this, Mark.

Mark: It's not true. None of this is true. It can't be.

John: This could get real ugly real fast.

Bo: Yeah, let's try to get him out of here.

John: All right.

Daniel: You don't know what you're doing, John.

Nora: Just -- John, just wait. Will you please just -- just wait? Look, if we can maybe work this thing out here, figure something out -- but the facts are wrong or you got wires crossed or some-- you don't have a motive!

John: We can't do this here, Bo.

Bo: I know. We'll tell you everything down at the station.

Nora: No, you will not. If there's a chance to salvage this, then you will tell me now. What possible reason did Daniel have to kill Paul Cramer?

Man: Checking in.

Clerk: Right. Your reservation is right here, Mr. Truman.

Mr. Truman: Actually, Linda, it's Dr. Truman, and you can call me Spencer.

Linda: Spencer -- great name.

Spencer: Yeah. It works for me.

Linda: Right. So -- you are in Room 2131. It's a suite.

Spencer: A suite?

Spencer: Right, and I'm all set. Thanks a lot.

Linda: I notice that you don't have a checkout date on the record. Will you be staying in Llanview long?

Spencer: Well, actually, that's still up in the air at the moment.

Mrs. Joset: Like someone you wanted to throttle? You're a menace.

Blair: You know, I thought you were someone who could possibly hurt my children.

Mrs. Joset: As far as I can see, the only one who might hurt your children is you.

Blair: What am I doing, Starr?

Starr: Mom, don't sweat it, okay? Dad says that she was --

Blair: Look, she didn't look anything like Margaret.

Starr: Okay. Yeah, she did, a little --

Blair: No, she didn't, Starr.

Starr: Well, if she was shorter with red hair and she -- she was kind of a --

Blair: I'm just so worried.

Starr: Mom --

Blair: I swear, if anything ever happened to you or Jack, I don't know what I would do.

Starr: All right, Mom, we're in the park.

Blair: Oh --

Starr: There are so many people here. Nothing can happen.

Jack: Mommy!

Jessica: Where are you going?

Antonio: I don't know. I have to get out of here.

Jessica: What are you doing?

Antonio: Look, you could stay here, or I could give you a ride back home.

Jessica: Wait a minute. What, are you going to go and see R.J.? Antonio, what do you expect to accomplish by that?

Antonio: This isn't right. None of this is right. Look, she's my daughter, my baby. She belongs with me.

Jessica: I know.

Antonio: Oh, man. I want to tell her, I -- I want to explain to her --

Jessica: What?

Antonio: What she means to me. You know, no one protects -- no one prepares you for this. No one. The day you find out you're going to be a dad, you're excited, you're scared. You just pray to God that you don't mess things up, you know, or -- you really don't know how much that baby means to you until you hold that precious little life in your arms, and then -- then you realize that you're never going to let go. You'd do anything to protect her, anything. You'd move mountains, stop a bullet, or live in a world that treats you like nothing.

Jessica: I know.

Antonio: Of course you do. I'm sorry.

Jessica: No --

Antonio: I didn't mean --

Jessica: No, no, no. It's okay. I want to talk about it. I want you to talk about it.

Antonio: You know, I -- I promised her I would -- that I would always be there for her. And that's what's killing me. I feel like I broke my promise. I feel like I let my little girl down.

Reporter: It appears that Lieutenant McBain and Commissioner Buchanan are trying to take Daniel Colson in for questioning, but his wife, A.D.A. Nora Colson, is demanding specifics about the case, mainly, what her husband's motives were for killing Paul Cramer. This is a story that's developing just as I'm speaking to you, and we'll bring you all the new developments as they happen.

[TV turns off]

Kevin: Look, we don't have to watch any more of this. This is a train wreck. You okay?

Kelly: No. I guess it's finally over.

Kevin: Did you know about this?

Kelly: No, I just -- all the nightmares that Paul caused people, all the pain that he caused -- it's over. I think I just don't like the way I feel about it.

Kevin: Oh, Kelly, come on.

Kelly: No, I -- the police think they know who killed my brother, and the only thing I can think about is I'm glad he's dead. I'm glad he's dead. What kind of monster thinks like that?

Officer: We called for backup.

Nora: Unless you have a motive, you're not taking my husband anywhere.

Bo: Nora, you don't want to do this here. Trust me.

Nora: Trust you? You started this circus. Now finish it.

Bo: Nora --

Nora: Why would Daniel kill Paul Cramer?

Riley: Forget about Cramer. I want to know why you keep accusing him of killing Jen.

Lindsay: Tell us, Daniel. Did you kill her? Did you?

John: Hey, move them back. Get those people back.

Riley: Bo, you keep saying you have something. Now tell us.

Harrison: Yes, Commissioner. I'd like to hear this myself.

Bo: Daniel killed Jen as part of a cover-up. Do you want to finish this?

Daniel: I don't know what you're talking about.

Bo: Yes, you do. You've got your wife and your son standing right here. Last chance to tell them the truth.

Daniel: I have nothing to say. I know my rights.

Bo: Daniel killed Paul Cramer because Cramer was blackmailing him.

Nora: Blackmailing him with what?

Nora: Why was Paul Cramer blackmailing you, Daniel? I want to know. Daniel?

Maitre d': Would you like a table, Sir?

Spencer: No. I think I'll just check out the local scenery.

Maitre d': If you change your mind --

[Phone rings]

Spencer: Hello. Well, Dr. Gresham. Oh, it's nice to hear from you, yeah. Oh, I'm sorry I had to leave the city so abruptly. Well, you should see my schedule here. It's absolutely packed. How did the Planniger case turn out? Mm-hmm. E.K.G.? Vitals? Well, good, good. Well, I wouldn't necessarily call it brilliant, but I'm pleased with the results. But no thanks to Dr. Hollister. I want him gone. Do you understand? Not just fired. I want you to yank his medical license and shove it up -- absolutely. I don't care if he is the Chief of Staff. His career is dead. Waitress: And what can I get for you?

Spencer: Well, normally I'd be jonesing for that 30-year scotch up there, but you seem to have me rather distracted. Nice smile, beautiful smile.

Waitress: Are you staying at the hotel?

Spencer: Yes, I am.

Waitress: You sure I can't get you that drink?

Spencer: Well, it's early yet. Maybe some other time.

Starr: Oh, my gosh!

Blair: Jack, what --

Starr: Mom, he's stopped breathing!

Blair: Oh, my God, call 911. Jack -- did you swallow anything, Sweetie? Is there something in your mouth? Oh, my God.

Starr: Hi, my brother has stopped breathing.

Blair: Did you see anything --

Man: He was just playing on the blanket. No one came near him.

Starr: Jack --

Blair: Let's go! Come on! My car's right out here. Let's go, let's go.

Linda: The hospital is located at first and Llantano. What time do you have to be there?

Spencer: A couple of hours from now.

Linda: Job interview?

Spencer: Actually, not quite that exciting. I developed a new surgical procedure, and they wanted me to come through and instruct the staff on some of its practical applications.

Linda: Sounds fascinating.

Spencer: Yeah, well, I'd rather be climbing Llantano Mountain. Got to pay the bills, right?

Linda: Totally.

Spencer: I better go. I don't want to be late to class.

Linda: Okay.

Spencer: Yeah.

Linda: So I will have your things brought up to your room, then. And you -- are just here for business, then, huh?

Spencer: Yeah, yeah, but I usually manage to squeeze in a little pleasure somewhere along the way.

Linda: Well, good luck with that.

Spencer: Here you go.

Linda: Thanks.

Spencer: You're welcome. And thank you.

Jessica: Honey, you're the best father that Jamie could ever have.

Antonio: Yeah, well, the judge doesn't think so.

Jessica: Six months. You know, it's not that long. It's -- Thanksgiving. Jamie will be with us at Thanksgiving and we'll have so much to be thankful for.

Antonio: Thanksgiving? It sounds like forever.

Jessica: No, no, come on, it's not. It's not, I swear. It's -- we're almost through May. And then there's June, July, and August, and we'll be outside. And we can paint Jamie’s room, and, you know, you can start your classes and you'll get that off your plate before Jamie comes home.

Antonio: Jess --

Jessica: Antonio, you know that summer flies by, okay? And that'll half of September, and then it's October, and we'll be raking leaves, the days are shorter. Halloween. It'll be Halloween. It'll be so much fun, and R.J., we'll let him supervise our trick-or-treating with Jamie, okay? You can be the king and I'll be the queen and Jamie will be the little princess. We'll let R.J. be the -- I don't know -- ugly troll with dreadlocks or something.

Antonio: I can't do this without you.

Jessica: It's a good thing you don't have to. I'm so sorry. I know this hurts. I know you'll miss her. Let me take care of you.

Marcie: John didn't tell you any of this?

Michael: No. I just helped with the autopsy, like I told you. Hey, what's up with Mark? Why is he tripping?

Nora: Daniel, talk to me. Why was Cramer blackmailing you?

Daniel: Nora, ask Bo. He seems to have all the answers.

Nora: All right, what evidence do you have that Daniel was being blackmailed by Paul Cramer? Or is this another shot in the dark, like when you arrested Dorian Lord for his murder? Oh, wait -- no, you arrested David Vickers for his murder. Oh, wait -- actually, on second thought -- or third thought -- you brought Jen in for questioning on Paul Cramer’s murder, as well.

John: Bo, we got to get this closed down.

Nora: Will someone please tell me what's happening?

Bo: Fine. If Colson won't tell you, I will. Daniel was having an affair. That's why Paul Cramer was blackmailing him.

Harrison: Your Honor, I think we ought to let the commissioner handle this from here on in.

Daniel: These charges are baseless. Buchanan's been after me ever since I started dating his ex.

Harrison: I'm not looking to have another Lieutenant Governor ousted by scandal.

Nora: An affair? You're having an affair? Who are you sleeping with, Daniel?

Doctor: So they're busting him right the steps at City Hall.

Nurse: Was he even sworn in yet?

Doctor: I don't know.

Blair: Please help us. Help me, please! Please.

Starr: Help us!

Doctor: What's the problem? What's the problem?

Blair: It's my son, he's not breathing. You got to help me. Do something, please.

Starr: Just do something!

Doctor: Well -- well, was he eating anything when he started having trouble breathing?

Blair: No, I checked, I checked. Can you do something right now, please?

Doctor: His throat's constricted. Is McBain in today?

Nurse: It's his day off.

Blair: Are you a doctor?

Starr: Oh, come on!

Doctor: I am a real doctor.

Blair: Well, then do something! Help my son!

Doctor: Just calm down and tell me what happened.

Blair: Well, we were at the park --

Doctor: Was he stung by a bee?

Blair: I have no idea.

Doctor: Is he allergic to anything?

Blair: No allergies that I'm aware of.

Nurse: He's having trouble swallowing.

Blair: Oh, God.

Doctor: All right, just get him into three. Let's go.

Blair: Please -- come on, let's get him in there. All right. It's okay, baby.

Kevin: Kelly, after what Paul put us through, I don't think anybody would blame you for wanting him dead.

Kelly: I hated him. I hated Paul, my own brother.

Kevin: So he's your brother. Does that mean you have to excuse what he did to you, what he did to us, what he did to everyone? Did you know that Paul had anything to do with Daniel Colson?

Kelly: No, of course not.

Kevin: Well, if what the reporters say is true, then he was doing something to Colson that made him angry enough to kill him. I mean, God knows how many other lives he's destroyed.

Kelly: Except I asked him to destroy our lives. I asked him to find me a child, and he did.

Kevin: Well, only so he could extort thousands of dollars from the both of us. Listen to me. He used the weakest, the most vulnerable moment of your life to get his hooks into you, and the only reason it worked is because we loved Ace so much.

Kelly: And I think that's what I'm feeling. I just miss -- I miss our boy, I miss our child so much.

Kevin: I know. So do I. So do I, and that son of a bitch did this to us.

Kelly: He was my family. And I never really had much family. My mom is the way she is, and I just -- I really wanted to lean on him once I found out I had a brother, once I got used to that idea.

Kevin: Well, you should have been able to lean on me. Listen, I helped Paul hurt us just as much as you did.

Kelly: And now he's dead. And we may know who killed him. And I feel -- oh -- happy or relieved?

Kevin: Listen. Sad.

Kelly: Sad.

Mark: It's a mistake. It's just a mistake. It has to be.

Marcie: Poor Nora. This is just getting worse for her by the minute.

Michael: Yeah, but don't worry about it. I mean, John's got this guy, okay? He's not going to get away with killing Jen.

Nora: All right, Commissioner, who kills two people to cover up an affair, hmm? Daniel and I weren't even married when Paul Cramer was murdered.

Bo: No, you weren’t.

Nora: Well, so, who is this mystery woman worth killing for? Please, I would love to meet her.

Bo: Nora, you don't want to do this now.

Nora: Are you kidding me? After what you pulled today? You tell me who my husband's allegedly sleeping with or I will sue you for defamation myself.

John: Just tell her, Bo. We need to end this.

Daniel: What's the matter, Commissioner? Isn't this playing out the way you imagined?

Nora: If my husband is having an affair, I want to know.

Daniel: He's got nothing.

Nora: Give me the woman's name.

Bo: It's not a woman.

Antonio: You know, when Jamie was a little baby, I used to get up -- I don't know -- at least five, six times a night, check the door, the windows, just to make sure she was safe. I remember how that felt. Then I would go in and watch her sleep. She was so beautiful, peaceful. Well, I just wonder if I'm ever going to be able to do that again.

Jessica: Antonio, we're going to get her back, okay? I promise we'll get her back. We'll do it together.

Antonio: I need you, Jess.

Jessica: Nothing is going to stop us from getting her back, okay? Not the judge, not R.J., not my personal problems.

Antonio: All right, which means you're going to have to let me in about what's going on with you. If we're going to do this together, the only way it works is if it goes both ways.

Jessica's voice: My mom -- she had them.

Dr. Jamison: What is it your mother had?

Jessica: Disassociative Identity Disorder. Do you think that's it? Do you think that's what I have?

Dr. Jamison: Whatever it is, it's serious, especially given the experiences you had when you lost your daughter.

Antonio: What's going on with you, Jess?

Starr: Mom, what's going on?

Blair: Okay, his breathing is shallow. Why aren't you doing anything here?

Doctor: Was he playing with anything when he called out to you?

Blair: I don't -- I don't know. I actually wasn't watching him. I was with my daughter. She needed me. He's so pale. Please do something here!

Doctor: The anaphylactic shock can be induced by an insect sting, but I don't see a point of contact or any inflammation. Hey, run another set of vitals.

Starr: Mom, I'm scared. What's going on?

Blair: Look, my son is -- is lying here. You're walking around like you don't even know what you're doing. You get a doctor in here, please!

Doctor: I want you to clear this room now, get everybody out of here.

Nurse: All visitors must --

Blair: No -- no, no, I am not a visitor, I'm his mother, and I'm staying right here. It's okay, Jack. It's all right, Sweetie. It's all right, baby.

Starr: Are you a doctor? My baby brother can't breathe, and we really need somebody's help.

Spencer: Little brothers can sure be a pain, can't they? But you still hate to see him sick, right?

Starr: Yeah.

Spencer: Yeah.

Starr: Is he dying?

Spencer: Well, let's not go there just yet. I've been watching him. So this happened at the park, huh?

Starr: Yeah. We only heard him breathe. We didn't see what he was doing or anything, and they think that it's a bee sting, but they're not sure. Can that be true?

Spencer: Well, that's usually the first thing they check for in cases like this, yeah. So, how's your little brother been feeling lately?

Starr: Well, my mom said that he had a fever last night and that he was whining of a headache this morning, but -- why is that jerk giving Jack a shot?

Spencer: Well, it's probably epinephrine. It's for allergic reactions.

Starr: Well, what if it doesn't work? What if he still can't breathe?

Spencer: Well, that's why we're here.

Reporter: We're still awaiting confirmation that Commissioner Buchanan has just accused D.A. Daniel Colson of having an illicit homosexual affair that was exploited by Paul crammer.

Daniel: Look; you don't believe any of this, do you?

Nora: What do you mean, he's not seeing a woman? You said he was having an affair -- what are you saying?

Rex: He's saying Colson's gay, Nora, and the son of a bitch killed Jen to keep it quiet!

Doctor: His fever's spiking.

Blair: He's getting worse.

Doctor: See, with an insect bite, the epinephrine should have opened his airway. I don't understand.

Blair: He's barely breathing here.

[Alarm]

Spencer: Tell the O.R. to be on standby. Get me an aspirator and run an open line.

Doctor: Who the hell are you?

Spencer: The guy who's saving your ass. All right, little guy, let's see if we can get you a little --

Doctor: Wait a minute, are you even on staff here? Where the hell is your I.D.?

Spencer: My name is Truman. If I don't perform this procedure, your son could die.

Blair: What procedure?

Spencer: I need to give him some more breathing room. I've got to open an airway so he can breathe.

Blair: No! No, Margaret brought you here. You're going to kill my son, aren't you? Margaret wants you to kill my son.

Spencer: Your son is having trouble breathing, all right?

Blair: What? No --

Spencer: He needs help right --

Blair: No, no, I'm letting you anywhere near my son.

Doctor: I'm calling security.

Blair: Oh, Jack, it's going to be all right. No! You're not going to cut my son!

Antonio: I thought you were getting better. What happened with the miracle drug?

Jessica: I'm still taking it.

Antonio: Okay. Because I can't -- I can't afford any more slip-ups, Jess. Is there something else you're not telling me?

Jessica: I'm going to come to therapy as often as I need it. I'm going to take my medication -- whatever it takes to get my life back.

Dr. Jamison: I admire your courage and your commitment.

Jessica: But you have to understand that if my problems put my mom back in the hospital or if they cause Antonio to lose custody of his little girl, I won't be able to live with myself.

Dr. Jamison: Jessica --

Jessica: Whatever my problem is, I'm going to have to deal with it on my own. Nothing is going to stop us from getting Jamie back, especially me. No, this isn't the end, okay? We're going to get her back.

Antonio: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to jump on you.

Jessica: Oh, no, no.

Antonio: No, this whole custody-hearing thing is just driving me crazy. I'm sorry.

Jessica: I understand.

Kelly: This was supposed to make you feel better.

Kevin: Well, you got to love a pastry that can multitask.

Kelly: I wonder how many people Paul hurt.

Kevin: We may never know.

Kelly: I feel responsible.

Kevin: Why?

Kelly: He came here because of me.

Kevin: Look, he is a lowlife scum that used you every chance he could get. You don't owe him anything, and you're certainly not responsible for his actions.
