Blair: Ok, I left our cell phone numbers and the number for the Palace right by the phone.

Todd: That's how you work the alarm.  Guard's downstairs if you need him.

Blair: We appreciate you coming last minute.  We need a night out.

Adriana: I'm glad to do it.  Go, have fun.

Blair: Thanks.

Todd: Holy --

Blair: Ginger.  What are you doing here?

Ginger: Hi.  I was just about to knock.

Todd: Hi.  What do you want?

Michael: Heard your memorial for Julie and Hudson was beautiful.

Marcie: Yeah, it was.

Michael: I'm sorry I couldn't make it.

Marcie: I'm sorry I had to do it.

Michael: Marcie, you know that you're the only person who blames this thing on you?

Marcie: Yeah, I do.

Michael: Do you

Marcie: Yes.  Yeah.

Michael: Ok.  Let's go get something to eat.

Marcie: Yeah?

Michael: Yeah.

Marcie: Ok, but it's on me.  I was such a jerk about you and Natalie earlier.  I'm so sorry.

Michael: You're not a jerk.  But, I hope you know by now Natalie is not my type.  Come on.

Evangeline: I'm at the Angel Square diner, and someone's been hurt.  We need help now.

Carlotta: Oh -- she's dead!  Somebody -- she's dead!  Oh, my God!

Evangeline: Oh, my God.  Who's dead?  Is it Natalie?

Marcie: Natalie's dead?

Michael: What happened?

Carlotta: Somebody killed her!

Antonio: Hey.

Jessica: Hi.  Hi.  Thanks for meeting me.

Antonio: How you doing?  You ok?

Jessica: Yeah, I'm fine.  How's Jamie?

Antonio: You're going to have to ask R.J.

Jessica: Antonio, I'm sorry.

Antonio: Yeah, I know you are.  So, what's up?

Jessica: Well, I just thought that we could meet and talk about what happened.

Antonio: You were at R.J.'s, but you don't remember being there.  There was a fire.  You don't know how it got started.  And I'm sorry about all this, but I have a custody hearing tomorrow to prepare for, so I don't have a lot of time.

Jessica: Are you saying that talking about our future is a waste of time?

Antonio: To be honest with you, I'm not so sure how to answer that.

John: Natalie!

Blair: Todd, you remember Ginger.  She's house sitting the Lamberts'.

Ginger: Some of your mail got mixed in with the Lamberts', so --

Blair: Oh, that's a lot of mail.

Todd: Thanks.

Blair: Well, we're on our way out, actually, and my cousin Adriana is going to baby-sit the children tonight.

Adriana: Yeah, we've already met.

Ginger: At your aunt's diner, right?

Adriana: That's the place.

Todd: We got to go.  So, Ginger, we don't want to keep you from any plans.

Ginger: Oh, I don't have any plans.  I still don't know that many people in town yet.

Adriana: Oh, well, stick around and keep me company -- if that's ok?

Blair: Yeah, that's fine.

Todd: What about the kids?

Blair: The kids are asleep.  Adriana, call us if you need us.  We're going.

Adriana: Ok, have fun.  Come in.  That was sort of weird.

Ginger: Yeah, that guy does not seem to like me for some reason.  And he's always looking at me like I'm about to steal something.

Adriana: Well, Todd and Blair have been through a lot.

Ginger: Yeah, I know.  I guess I'd be a little paranoid, too, yeah.

Adriana: Yeah.  So, have you been hanging out with your friend Tess?

Ginger: Yeah.

Adriana: Something wrong?

Ginger: I don't know.  I mean, I like Tess, but the girl's got issues, you know?

Jessica: I'm sorry that you feel that way.  I know that you must hate me right now.

Antonio: I don't hate you.  I'm scared.  You and Jamie could have died in that fire, and I could lose custody of her because of it.

Jessica: You mean because of me.  I had another appointment with Dr. Jamison.

Antonio: Were you able to figure something out?

Jessica: I don't know what's wrong with me, Antonio.  The sleepwalking, the blackouts, I don't know where it's coming from, but I know that I love you and I love Jamie.  And I hope that you still love me, too.

Antonio: Of course I still love you.

Jessica: But you're angry with me.

Antonio: I shouldn't have sent you there in the first place.  I knew R.J. was looking for ammunition to use against me.

Jessica: I handed it right to him.

Antonio: It's in the past.  We need to move forward now.

Jessica: How?  Look, I know that you said that you love me, and I believe you, I do, but I know you don't trust me anymore.  Without that, I have nothing.

Dorian: Geoffrey, good evening.  I'd like a table, please.

Geoffrey: Do you have a reservation, ms. Lord?

Dorian: Since when do I need a reservation?

Geoffrey: I'm sorry.  We're completely booked tonight.  Mrs. Davidson, good evening.

Viki: Good evening, Geoffrey.  Dorian, hello.

Jessica: Your table's ready.

Viki: Thank you, thank you.

Dorian: Oh, so of course you have a reservation.

Viki: Actually, yes, I do.  Would you like to join me for dinner?  Look, Dorian, I know you wrote the check, ok?  I also know that I can't prove it ever.  So frankly, I think it would be best if we just put it in the past and forgot about it, ok, for the sake of both of our families.  All right?  It's just dinner.  Well, it's up to you.

John: Natalie?  Natalie!

John: Natalie?  Hey!  Come here.  Oh!  Oh, God.  I thought it was you.  I thought it was you.  You ok?  Come on.  You ok?

John: Easy.  It's ok.  It's ok.

Evangeline: Oh, my God!  John, what happened?

Adriana: This Tess sounds like one wild girl.

Ginger: Oh, that she is.  Thank you.  She's got this real hate for this guy.

Adriana: What guy?

Ginger: Oh, you don't know him.  Anyway, I see this guy, and he's real nice, kind of cute.

Adriana: Oh, is he taken?

Ginger: Yeah, I think so.

Adriana: Hmm, too bad.

[Phone rings]

Adriana: Oh, excuse me.  Hello?  Oh, yeah, send him up.

Ginger: Pizza here already?

Adriana: No.  Actually, it's this guy that I'm sort of seeing.

Ginger: "Sort of"?

Adriana: Ok, I guess you could say he's my boyfriend.

Ginger: Oh, my gosh.  Bringing your boyfriend over while you're babysitting?  That's so junior high.

Adriana: I know, I know, but, no, it's cool, because Blair totally loves Duke.

Ginger: Duke?  That's his name?  What, is he some kind of cowboy?

Adriana: Actually, sort of, yeah.  He's from Texas.

Ginger: Well, look, I'm going to go.  I don't want to be in the way.

Adriana: No, no, no, stay.  I want you to meet him.  He's the greatest guy.  You'll see.

[Doorbell rings]

Adriana: Oh, speaking of.

Duke: Pizza delivery.

Adriana: Hey!

Duke: I ran into the guy in the lobby.  Oh.

Adriana: Oh, this is Ginger.  She's house sitting for Blair's neighbors.

Duke: Hi.

Ginger: Hi.

Duke: Nice to meet you, Ginger.  I'm Duke.

Ginger: It's really nice to meet you, too.

Blair: Well, I feel like I'm back in high school on a date with a chaperone.

Todd: We're going to give him an eyeful.

Blair: Ok, ok.

Blair: I love you.

Todd: Right back at ya.  Someday we won't have to do this in front of an audience.

Blair: Well, I don't want to talk about Margaret, ok?  We got out, we're here.  I just want think about us.

Todd: All right.  Gone.  Everything's out of my mind.

Blair: Good.

Todd: Except for you, of course.

Viki: Jessie, Antonio.

Antonio: Viki.

Jessica: Hi.

Viki: Darling, oh, my God, I am so glad that you and Jamie are ok.

Jessica: I still don't know how I could have let something like that happen.

Viki: You?  Well, nobody's blaming you.  Oh, dear.  R.J. is blaming her?

Antonio: We're going to have to do a little damage control at the custody hearing.

Viki: Come on, surely, the judge is going to see that it was an accident.

Jessica: Are you ok, mom?

Viki: Me?  Why?

Jessica: You just look a little pale.

Viki: Do I really?  No, actually, I think I'm just fighting off a cold.

Jessica: Well, you should go and see a doctor, then.

Viki: Darling, it's a bug.  It's nothing.

Jessica: And you have a heart condition.

Viki: Ok, if it gets any worse, I'll see a doctor.

Jessica: Ok, promise me.

Viki: Yes.

Jessica: I couldn't handle it if something happened to you.

Viki: Nothing is going to happen to me.  Don't you worry, ok?  You guys just concentrate on the hearing, and good luck tomorrow, all right?

Dorian: Excuse me. Viki --

Viki: Dorian.

Dorian: If your dinner invitation still stands, I'd like to take you up on it.

Jessica: Mom, you can have dinner with us, it's fine.

Dorian: Jessica, I'm not going to poison her.

Viki: It's all right, sweetheart.  I invited Dorian, ok?  Thank you.  Yes, lovely.  Shall we?

Jessica: I hope that she's ok.

Antonio: I think you need to worry about yourself right now.

Jessica: My mom has a heart condition, Antonio.

Antonio: Yeah, and you have a condition we know nothing about.

Jessica: Look, I am sorry about the fire and I'm sorry that you don't trust me --

Antonio: Stop.  Jess, stop, ok?  This isn't about you or your troubles.  This is about my daughter's future.  Do you have any idea what it's like to have a cop take my daughter away from me, to be told I can't be near her, maybe ever again?

[Phone rings]

Antonio: Hello?  No, I'll be right there.  I have to go.

Jessica: Is there something wrong?

Antonio: That was Mami.  Something happened at the diner.  She didn't say what, but she sounded upset.

Jessica: Well, let me come with you.

Antonio: No.  I have to do this alone.

Jessica: No.  No, no.

Tess: At least I didn't have to chase him away for you, Jessica.

Waiter: Excuse me, Miss?  Is the gentleman coming back this evening?

Tess: No, no, he's not.  He left me with the check, too.  Classy, huh?  Anyways, I am going to stay and eat.  I'm feeling ravenous tonight.

Viki: Dorian, let's try an experiment, shall we?  I won't bring up any of the problems between us and you don't either and we'll just enjoy ourselves.

Dorian: How big of you, Viki.  Since you are so willing to take the higher ground, I'll do my best to join you.

Waiter: Excuse me, ladies.  Are you ready to place your orders?

Viki: Oh, please, go ahead.

Dorian: The fish special is tilapia provencal.  Hmm.  No dover sole.  I tell you what -- just tell the chef that it's for Ms. Lord.  I would like to have the onions well sauteed in virgin olive oil, no black olives, but I do adore capers.  Thank you.

Waiter: Certainly, and for you?

Viki: I'll just have whatever she's having.

Dorian: Of course.  You want whatever I have, including my family.

John: You're ok?  Yeah?

Natalie: Yeah, I'm fine.

Carlotta: Oh, my God!  Natalie, I thought you were dead!

Evangeline: Oh, thank God.

Carlotta: What -- who?

John: It was the new waitress.

Carlotta: Oh, my God.

John: You sure you didn't see anything?  You didn't see anyone?

Natalie: No, no.  She was like that when I came back from the storeroom.

John: All right.  Listen, do me a favor -- no one goes in there, no one touches anything till C.S.U. gets here.

Evangeline: I just called 911.  They're on their way.

John: Good.

Marcie: John, what happened in there?

John: I found her bent over a vat of oil.

Marcie: That's just like in my book.

Michael: Marcie, Marcie, don't.

Marcie: What am I supposed to think, Michael?  It's all there.

John: Carlotta, I need the girl's information to notify her family.

Carlotta: Her application's actually still under the counter.  I just hired her.

Marcie: I thought this was -- I thought that this was all over.  You know, everybody on the love crew, they all have guards.  I thought that whoever was doing these killings that he was just going to stop.

John: Well, apparently, he or she decided to expand their targets.

Michael: Well, why did you think it was Natalie at first?

John: Same red hair, same clothes.

Natalie: Do -- do you think that someone's after me, or are you just worried about me?

John: I'm worried about everyone.  Listen, don't let anybody go in the kitchen.  Michael, you give her a hand if she needs it, ok?

Michael: Absolutely.

John: And nobody leaves here till I get back.

Natalie: Well, where are you going?

John: I'm going to find that son of a bitch.

Evangeline: Don't even think about it.  I know you.

Adriana: Isn't that weird?  I mean, I met Ginger at the diner, and then she turns out to be Blair's neighbor.

Duke: Yeah, small world.  Hey, well, since you're new to town, we'll have to show you around.

Ginger: Sure.  Yeah.  I mean, you know, whenever you guys have time.

Duke: Well, just let us know.

Ginger: Why don't I give you my cell number and you can call me?

Duke: Cool.

Adriana: Oh, here, punch in.

Ginger: All right.

Duke: So where should we take her?

Adriana: Oh, I don't know.  Ultra Violet's always cool.

Duke: That'd be cool.

Ginger: You know, I've heard of this place -- Rodi's?

Duke: Oh, best burgers in town.

Ginger: Yeah, and don't they have, like, country night or something?

Duke: Yeah.  Wait, you like country?

Ginger: You, too?

Duke: Well, yeah.  Brooks & Dunn, Brad Paisley.  Actually, I'm getting into Rascal Flatts now.

Ginger: Oh, Faith Hill is mine.

Duke: Cool.

Ginger: So it's a date.

Duke: Sounds good.

Ginger: All right.  So, I'm going to go, and I'll see you guys later.

Adriana: Ok.  I'll walk you out.

Duke: All right.

Adriana: See you.

Duke: Seems like a nice gal.

Adriana: Oh.  She is so into you.

Duke: What?

Adriana: Oh, please, you can't be that clueless.

Duke: Oh, come on, give me a break.  I just met her.

Adriana: So?  What difference does it make?

Duke: "So?"  All right, you know what?  Let me tell you something -- I am so into you.

Adriana: Good.

Duke: Good.

Adriana: Because otherwise I'd have to sic Dorian on both of you.

Duke: Oh, and be just like your mother?

Adriana: Mm-hmm.

Duke: Never.

Todd: What looks good?

Blair: Besides you?  Hmm, I think you should order the oysters, and I will have a very nice chilled bottle of champagne.

Todd: You think that'll do it, huh?

Blair: Todd, I didn't mean --

Todd: Yeah, you did.

Blair: Come on, sit down.

Todd: Let's go.

Blair: Don't do this.

Todd: I lost my appetite.

Blair: Well, I haven't.

Todd: Therein lies the problem.

Blair: Look, what is the problem here, Todd?

Todd: We're just -- we're forcing it.  It's not working.  Let's go.

Blair: You want to be with me tonight?

Todd: Yes, I want to be with you tonight.  Not here.  Home alone.

Blair: Well, you're sending mixed signals.

Todd: I want to be with you.  How much clearer can I get?

Blair: Ok.  Well, what are we waiting for?

Dorian: I wonder where that sociopathic brother of yours is dragging my niece to.  Straight down the road to hell is my guess.

Viki: No, no, no.  I am -- I'm leaving.

Dorian: Why?  Where are you going?

Viki: Dorian, you didn't last 30 seconds until you attacked my brother.

Dorian: Oh.  Well, wait a minute.

Viki: What?

Dorian: Why did you invite me to join you?

Viki: I don't know.  You didn't have a reservation.  You looked hungry, lonely.

Dorian: I am not a charity case.

Viki: Do you know, I actually thought we could sit down and maybe work out some of our problems.

Dorian: Or maybe you thought you could get me to confess that I'd framed you for this whole embezzlement scandal.

Viki: Are you admitting it?

Dorian: Ah, so I'm right.  You are trying to entrap me.

Viki: Enjoy your tilapia.

Viki: Hello.  Who are you, and what have you done with my daughter?

Marcie: I don't know anything about it, ok?

Officer: But you said it happened like in your book.

Michael: Marcie wrote "The Killing Club."  She didn't kill anybody, ok?

Evangeline: Hey.

Antonio: What's going on?

Evangeline: The new waitress here was murdered.  Your mom, she found her.

Antonio: Where is she?

Evangeline: She's right over here talking to Natalie.

Antonio: Mami.

Carlotta: Oh, Antonio, thank God you're here.

Natalie: Excuse me.

Antonio: It's ok.  It's ok.

Natalie: Roy, any word from John?

Roy: Nothing.

Natalie: Oh, he shouldn't be out there alone.

Roy: He'll be all right.

Evangeline: John can take care of himself.

Natalie: Oh, you think so?

Evangeline: I know so.

Natalie: You're not worried about him at all?

Evangeline: Yes, enough to stay here and not put him in any danger.

Natalie: He could already be in danger, Evangeline.

Evangeline: Then don't make things worse.

Natalie: Oh, really?  For whom, him or you?

Evangeline: Natalie, this has nothing to do with that.

Natalie: It always has to do with that!

Evangeline: You are way off.

Natalie: I don't think so.

Evangeline: All right, Natalie, you want to have it out?  Right here, right now.

Natalie: You know, a girl was just murdered in that kitchen.  Your boyfriend's out there chasing after the killer.  Maybe you don't care.

Evangeline: You wish I didn't care, Natalie, but I do care about John.

Natalie: It just bugs the hell out of you how much he cares about me.

Evangeline: Not in the way that you think.

Natalie: Uh-huh, and when he walked into that kitchen and he saw that girl, how come his mind went straight to me?

Evangeline: Your blood-curdling scream scared the hell out of him.  I was scared, too.

Natalie: What, scared that I didn't really die?

Evangeline: All right, all right, Natalie, you want to roll around in the mud with me?  This is what I do for a living.

Natalie: Well, you know what?  I've scrambled around in the mud a few times myself, so come on, bring it on.

Evangeline: What do you think's going to happen, Natalie?  What do you think, you're going to keep throwing yourself at John and maybe one day he'll catch you?  That's pathetic!

Natalie: You know, you say you're so unconcerned.  Why do you care so much?

Evangeline: I don’t.

John's voice: Mc Bain here.  10-13, 10-13.  Officer needs assistance forthwith.

Natalie: That's -- that's --

Evangeline: Officer down?

Officer: I'm en route.  What's your location?

Evangeline: Natalie, stop!

Marcie: I'm so sorry, Mrs. Vega.

Carlotta: Oh, Marcie.  You have nothing to be sorry for, sweetheart.  You are in no way responsible for this.

Michael: I keep trying to tell her that.

Antonio: Believe it.  Ok, look, I've worked on cases like this before, all right? This person was going to kill with or without your book.

Marcie: I still wish I hadn't written it.

Roy: Mrs. Vega?

Carlotta: Huh?

Roy: Would you mind answering some questions?

Carlotta: I'll tell you what I can.

Antonio: Ok, I'm not going anywhere, ok?  I'll be right over there.

Carlotta: Thank you.

Antonio: All right.  How you doing?  You ok?

Evangeline: You know, John just called in here for help.

Antonio: Well, you know what they say in the department -- if you can call it in, he's ok.

Evangeline: He told me to stay here, but I really want to go to him, Antonio.

Antonio: No, you let the police handle it.  That's what they do.

Evangeline: That's what I just tried to tell Natalie.

Antonio: She went?

Evangeline: He's going to be ok, right?  He's going to be fine.

Antonio: Of course, yes.

Evangeline: How are you doing?

Antonio: You know, I'm hanging in.  Never a dull moment in the city.

Evangeline: Tell me about it.  Any new information on that fire at R.J.'s?  Jessica?  What happened?

Antonio: No, no.  Nothing.

Evangeline: You know this is going to be really bad for the custody hearing tomorrow?

Antonio: Listen, Jessica's not going to be any help to us anymore, not under the circumstances, so I think the less she has to do with this case, the better.

Tess: Mom.  Don't be silly.  It's me, it's Jessica.

Viki: Well, honey, why are you sitting here alone eating that enormous plate of food?

Tess: Well, Antonio was here, but there was some kind of emergency at Carlotta's.

Viki: Really?  What happened?

Tess: Beats me.

Viki: Well, I hope it's nothing serious.

Tess: Right.  That would be terrible.  But, Antonio left and he insisted that I stay here and eat dinner.  I begged to go with him, but he insisted.

Viki: Hmm. Well, I'll stay and keep you company.

Tess: No, no.  Mom, you still look pale.  You should go home, pack it in for the night.

Viki: Ok.  I'll go home.

Tess: Yeah.

Viki: I'll see you then at home, all right?

Tess: Mm-hmm.  Don't wait up.

Tess: I really want to have dinner with bionic woman.  Jeez.

Todd: You talking to yourself these days?

Tess: Hi.

Todd: Heh-heh.

Tess: Must be the wine.

Todd: Huh.

Tess: Didn't you just run out of here with your wife?

Todd: Yeah, I didn't know that you were such a ferocious carnivore.

Tess: Huh, you'd be surprised.

Tess: This town isn't big enough for the both of us, Jessica.  Ginger!  Come here.

Ginger: Hey, Tess.

Tess: What's going on, honey?

Ginger: I came as soon as I got your message.

Tess: Where were you?

Ginger: At my new neighbors' place.

Tess: And?

Ginger: And what?

Tess: Ahem.  And what's his name?

Ginger: Well, how do you know there's a him?

Tess: Well, because you're blushing.  Hmm, must be really hot.

Ginger: Oh, you have no idea.  But he's taken.

Tess: Well, when has that ever stopped us before?

Ginger: Yeah, well, he's really into his girlfriend.

Tess: Well, then, we deal with her.  It's not a big deal.  What's his name?

Ginger: Duke Buchanan.

Tess: Duke?

Dorian: Thank you.  Excuse me.  What is this about Duke Buchanan?

Adriana: We shouldn't do this, not here.

Duke: Yeah, I know, I know.  I'm sorry.

Adriana: No, I am.

Duke: No, it's ok.  I understand.  I better go.

Adriana: Do you have to?

Duke: If you don't want us doing something you're not ready for, then, yeah, I have to.

Adriana: You've been so great about, you know, taking things slow.

Duke: No, hey, hey, hey, no, don't even.

Adriana: I'll see you soon?

Duke: Of course you will.  I'll call you, all right?

Adriana: Ok.

Duke: We'll see you.

Duke: You know, if -- if I don't leave right now, I'm probably not going to leave.

Adriana: Maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Duke: Really?

Ginger: Well, why is Duke Buchanan any of your business, whoever you are?

Dorian: Whoever you are.  She needs to be told to mind her manners, Jess--

Tess: Ginger, you don't know who this is?  This is Dorian Lord.  She is one of the most influential women in all of Llanview and, not to mention, very well dressed.

Dorian: Huh.  I can't believe you said that.

Tess: Well, I meant every word of it.  Just don't tell my mom, ok?

Dorian: Trust me, I won't.  We are once again not on speaking terms.  But tell me, what is this about Duke Buchanan?

Ginger: Nothing.  I just met him tonight with his girlfriend.

Dorian: Oh, he's with my daughter again.

Ginger: If your daughter's name is Adriana.

Dorian: I must put a stop to this.

Ginger: What is her problem?

Tess: Dorian?  Hmm.  She does not have a problem at all.  Trust me, she knows what she wants,he goes after it, no prisoners.  You and I could learn a thing or two from her.  Obviously, she doesn't like Duke.  And if we're trying to snake Adriana away from him, we need to start thinking like her.

Blair: Adriana, thank you so much for babysitting, and, you, too, Duke.

Duke: Well, I hope you didn't mind.

Blair: No, it was fine.  And we got home early enough so you guys can still go out, so have fun.

Adriana: Thanks.

Blair: Thanks.

Todd: I wonder what they did in here besides eat pizza.

Blair: I don't know, but maybe we should go upstairs.

Todd: Yeah, go, get ready.

Blair: You're not going to go up with me?

Todd: I think I should make re the alarm's set and everything.

Blair: Ok, well, don't keep me waiting too long.

Todd: All right, Asa.  I know you contacted Renee.  Those are local numbers.  Let's see.  972?  Where's that?  Texas.  Of course.  Yep, that's where the damn coot's holed up.

Todd: Yeah, hi.  I need to book a flight to Dallas.

Blair: You'd better make it one-way, because if you book that flight, don't bother coming home.

Michael: You're coming home with me tonight.

Marcie: No, I'm -- I'm going to stay at Ron's.  I mean, the bodyguard is there.  I have everything.  I'll be fine.

Michael: I'm sorry, sweetie, but I think that you need more than that tonight.  Come on.  I'll give you something to help you sleep.  And if you can't sleep, I'll stay up with you, all night if I have to.  Come on, sweetie.  Come on, let's get you home.

Evangeline: Any word on lieutenant Mc Bain?

Roy: Nothing yet.  You should wait for him here.  It's not safe out there.

John: He headed in the direction of park and seventh.  The rest of you fan out, see if he doubled back.

Officer: Ok.  You guys heard the lieutenant.

John: What are you doing here?

Natalie: Are you all right?

John: I'm fine.  You shouldn't be here.  Hey -- don't ever put yourself on the line for me, Natalie.

Natalie: Well, I couldn't just stay there.

John: I don't care.  You know what that did to me seeing you, thinking that was you there in kitchen?  Come on.  I'll take you back to the diner.

Todd: I've been tracking Renee's calls, Blair.  There are two here from Texas.  It's probably Asa.

Blair: Well, maybe it's somebody Renee called to help find Asa, Todd.

Todd: No.  It's Asa.  I know it.  And I'm going to go down there and I'm going to get him.

Blair: Oh, just tell the police.

Todd: His son's the commissioner, right?

Blair: Well, then get a private investigator.  I mean it, Todd, if you go down there, you're breaking every promise you ever made me.  Now, just let it go.

Todd: I'm not going to let it go, not till I've finished him off.  Can't you understand that?

Blair: Yeah.  Yeah, I understand that.  Good night.

Tess: Come on.

Ginger: All right, so what do I do about Duke?

Tess: You -- excuse me.  You seduce him away from Adriana.

Ginger: Yeah, but I like Adriana.  She's nice.

Tess: All is fair in love and lust, sweetie pie.  You want the boy, you go get the boy.

Ginger: Well, that's if he wants it.

Tess: Oh, come on, I haven't met a guy who didn't.  Every boy has his weak spot.

Ginger: Well, how do I do that?

Tess: Watch and learn.  Excuse me.

Waiter: Yes.

Tess: Hi.  How are you?

Waiter: Ok.

Tess: My friend and I, we need to leave immediately, so we're going to need our check right away.

Waiter: Sure.  I'll be right back with that.

Tess: Thank you.

Carlotta: Gracias, Mijo.

Antonio: Listen, I'm going to stay at my mother's this evening, so if you need me, you can reach me on my cell.

Evangeline: Ok, yeah, we'll meet tomorrow morning for the hearing.

Antonio: Right.

Evangeline: Get some rest, ok?

Antonio: You, too.

Evangeline: Yeah.

Antonio: All right.

Evangeline: John, thank God!

John: I found some keys the guy dropped.  He must have come back for them.  That's when he jumped me.  He got away before I got a good look at him.

Evangeline: John, you could have been killed.

John: I'm fine.  I'm ok.

Evangeline: We've got to get you to the hospital.

John: No, I'm staying here, all right?  Look, go home.  I'll call you later, all right?  Yeah?

Evangeline: Ok, ok.  Ok.

John: Hey, Roy?  Do me a favor.  Take Ms. Williamson home for me, will you?

Evangeline: Come here.

John: Antonio, can you see Natalie home?

Antonio: Of course.

Natalie: I don't want to leave.

John: There's nothing for you to stay here for.

Antonio: Come on.

Natalie: Bye.

Antonio: I'll be right back, ok?  All right.

John: This guy, whoever he is, we don't stop till we find him.

D.J.: And now for a news break.  There was a murder at the Angel Square diner tonight.  No positive I.D. on the victim as yet, just that she was a new waitress working there.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Dorian: David, I have a proposition for you.

R.J.: What are you doing, chatting up my star witness?

Paul: Bad dreams, Danny boy?  You'll never get my blood off your hands.

Daniel: I had to!

John: I need to see you.

Natalie: When and where?

John: My office, right away.
