One Life to Live Transcript Thursday 12/26/02
>> Previously on "One Life to Live" --
Blair: Well, I got my answer. You do care about me.
Antonio: The baby Keri's having for her mom -- is it mine?
Daphne: I thought you'd want to know. There was a woman here snooping around.
Nora: I saw your name in the registry on the same day that Lindsay was there.
Cristian: Jen, I am so sorry. I'm in love with Natalie.
Jessica: Mitch Laurence is my father.
***********************************************
Starr's voice: Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh o'er the fields we go laughing all the way ha! Ha! Ha! Bells on bobtail rings making spirits bright what fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight
Children: Oh jingle
[Tape fast forwards]
Sam's voice: Hi. Merry Christmas, Blair. I hope I got it all. You know, every time I try to be a cameraman, I realize I should keep my day job. Anyway, I hope you like my little gift. Yeah. I sent it along because I know how much you missed seeing Starr’s pageant just like I missed seeing you here tonight.
Blair: Hey, Todd!
Todd: I think you've had enough of this syrupy Christmas stuff.
Blair: It wasn't "syrupy Christmas stuff" when you let me think that you made this tape.
Todd: No, that wasn't my fault. Look, it's all gingerbread and sugarplums and God knows what. It's enough to make you --
Blair: You lied to me, Todd!
Todd: How could I lie to you? I didn't say a word.
Blair: Oh, no, you just let me assume that you made the tape.
Todd: It's a stupid videotape.
Blair: It's not stupid. Sam gave that tape to me.
Todd: Oh, right, Sam, good old Sam. What a trouper, Sam.
Blair: And I can't wait to thank him.
Todd: You can't see him, Blair.
Blair: Todd!
Todd: Hey, look, I don't make the -- actually, you know what? I do. I do make the rules.
Blair: Wait a minute --
Todd: No, it's way too dangerous.
Blair: No, Todd! You can't do this to me! You cannot keep Sam -- you can't keep me from seeing Sam!
***********************************************
Sam: Hi. Merry Christmas.
Matthew: Merry Christmas.
Starr: What are you doing here?
Sam: It's Christmas.
Starr: No, it's not. It's Christmas Eve.
Sam: Oh, don't be so technical, Starr.
Starr: Plus, my dad said that this is a private family night.
Sam: Oh. Well, I don't think your dad will mind that we stopped by so Matthew could give you and Jack some Christmas presents.
Starr: Are there any good ones in there?
Matthew: Yeah.
Starr: Then get in.
Matthew: Sorry your mommy's not here.
Starr: You mean you don't know the secret?
Matthew: What secret?
Starr: The secret about -- about -- Santa Claus.
Matthew: What secret?
Starr: There is no Santa Claus.
***********************************************
Al: Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!
Gabrielle: Is that you, Al, in there?
Al: How did you know?
[Gabrielle laughs]
Gabrielle: Just a hunch.
Al: Uh.
Gabrielle: What is all this about?
Al: Ah, well, you're looking at the official community center Santa Claus. I just wanted to stop by and tell the commissioner that I -- I really had a great time.
Gabrielle: Oh, I'm so glad that you did, and I'm sure you were a great Santa.
Al: I hope so. I promised three kids ponies.
Gabrielle: No, you didn't!
Al: No, no, I didn't, but I did have a really excellent time.
Gabrielle: Good. I'll tell Bo.
Al: Where is Bo? He's -- he's here, right?
Gabrielle: Oh, actually, no. He's held up on some rather important police business. I'm not quite sure when he'll be back.
***********************************************
Bo: No, we haven't found Jessica yet, Viki. I'm sorry. I've got every officer that's on duty looking for her. Right. Look, I would like to send a detective, Runyon, over there. Is that okay? Okay. We will find Jessica. I promise you.
***********************************************
[Doorbell rings]
Natalie: Cristian, did you hear anything?
Cristian: No, nothing. I decided I'd check on you.
Natalie: I've been going nuts. I've been worried about you and worried about Jessica. I mean, I wanted to help, I wanted to do something, and Uncle Bo said I had to stay here. He wanted me to wait and see if Jess came back.
Cristian: No word, huh?
Natalie: This is all my fault.
Cristian: Oh, come on, Natalie. Don't start that again. It's not your fault.
Natalie: When Jessica told me that Mitch was her father, I -- all I could think about was he was my father, too.
Cristian: Well, that makes total sense. I mean, you're twins -- of course.
Natalie: Yeah, but he's not. He's hers. And when my sister needed me the most, I wasn't there for her, and now she's gone.
Cristian: Natalie, it's not your fault.
Natalie: I have to find her.
Cristian: Yeah, but, Natalie, there's --
Natalie: I have to!
Cristian: Okay. Okay, we'll go together.
Natalie: Thank you.
Cristian: What is it?
Natalie: Just I keep thinking about Mitch -- I mean, if he's out there, if he's looking for you.
Cristian: No, I'm not worried about Mitch. We have to find your sister.
[Door opens]
Bo: You're not going anywhere.
***********************************************
Lindsay: Merry Christmas.
Jen: Mom --
Lindsay: I know you didn't want me to come here at Christmas Eve, but Santa brought these to my house by accident, and I wanted to bring them to you.
Jen: Santa?
Lindsay: And don't say you don't believe in him because I already got my gift.
Jen: What'd you get?
Lindsay: You remember that phone call that I got last night?
Jen: I remember you racing out of here. What was it?
Lindsay: Well, I found out that Nora’s been snooping all over town, yes, with her suspicions about Troy.
Jen: So?
Lindsay: So I planted something at the clinic, and she's going to find it if she keeps snooping, and she will keep snooping.
Jen: What is it?
Lindsay: Troy and Joanna’s marriage certificate.
***********************************************
Troy: Hey, there you are. I'm glad you got my message about not waiting around for me at the hospital.
Nora: Yeah.
Troy: Sorry I'm late, Sweetheart. It's just with the holidays and everything we were a little short-staffed. Mmm. Hey, what's wrong?
[Nora sighs]
Nora: I did something, Troy, I'm not particularly proud of. I went through your things at your office, and I found something, something that I'm pretty sure you didn't want me to find.
Troy: Nora, what did you find?
Nora: You know, when I was at your office earlier and you said that you -- you swore that you and Lindsay weren't at the jewelry store together, and I believed you, and I really decided I was going to let everything go, just let it go.
Troy: Nora, what did you do?
Nora: And then I ran across Sam, and Sam said that he'd seen Lindsay at your office earlier. You'd been with Lindsay, and you never mentioned it to me.
Troy: I --
Nora: No, no, no, please --
Troy: I didn't get a chance, Nora. I --
Nora: Let me finish, because it's really important that you understand why I did what I did, okay?
Troy: Okay.
Nora: There's just so many little things, Troy, so many little things, and I tried not to be suspicious and I tried not to pry and -- but I couldn't help it, I pried, and now I'm really sorry that I did because -- because everything's ruined.
Troy: Nora, what did you find?
Nora: A ring, a diamond ring.
***********************************************
Jen: So now you actually are going to tell Nora about Troy's wife?
Lindsay: Actually, I'm not. She's going to find out herself because she can't stop snooping.
Jen: So it's not your fault?
Lindsay: No, it's not.
Jen: So, what are you thinking? Once Nora dumps Troy, he's going to come running back to you?
Lindsay: Is there anything wrong with that?
Jen: Only that it's delusional.
Lindsay: Is it? Because you seem to have high hopes for you and Cristian.
Jen: Not anymore.
Lindsay: Why? What happened?
Jen: He broke up with me. But he's not going to get away with it.
Lindsay: What do you mean?
***********************************************
Bo: Mitch Laurence threatened to kill you. Now, maybe he's out there right now waiting for you to make a mistake.
Cristian: I won't make a mistake.
Bo: I know you won't, because you're going to be right here. This is no time for heroics.
Natalie: Look, we want to help.
Bo: And the best way that you could help Jessica right now is to stay right here in this house, which is surrounded by cops.
[Phone rings]
Natalie: That's her.
[Ring]
Natalie: Jessica? Hi, Rex. No. No. We haven't had any word.
Bo: I can use your help, Cristian. I want you to make sure that Natalie stays put and out of Laurence’s reach.
Cristian: I'll keep her safe.
Bo: Okay, and if anything happens, if Jessica does show up here, or even if she calls, I'm only a phone call away, and there are officers right outside.
Cristian: Okay.
Bo: Yeah.
Cristian: Thanks.
Bo: I'll be in touch.
Natalie: You're going?
Bo: Yeah, yeah. I'm going to keep looking for Jess.
Natalie: Thank you, Uncle Bo. Jessica's all alone.
***********************************************
Hank: Antonio.
Antonio: Hank.
Hank: Hey. Where's Liz and Keri?
Antonio: The kitchen.
Hank: Antonio, if you say one word tonight about whether or not you're the father of that baby, I will shut you up so fast you won't know what hit you --
Antonio: Hey!
Hank: Listen to me. This is Liz and Keri's first Christmas together in a long time. Don't spoil it.
Antonio: Look, relax, Hank, all right? I don't want to do that either. All right, but rest assured that when Christmas is over I will find out.
[Doorbell rings]
Antonio: R.J.
R.J.: Antonio. Well. Well, all the usual suspects are here. I got to tell you, though, I did not expect to see you, Henry.
Hank: Well, R.J., I didn't realize you were invited either.
Liz: Merry Christmas, guys!
Hank: Hey!
R.J.: Here.
Hank: Hi.
R.J.: Just let me help you.
Liz: No, I got -- ooh, okay. Thanks. Oh.
Keri: Hey.
Hank: Keri.
Keri: Merry Christmas.
Hank: Thank you. You, too.
Liz: I'm a mess.
Keri: Well, this is wonderful -- Mom and Dad under the same roof.
[Doorbell rings]
Liz: Uh --
Carlotta: Merry Christmas, Liz.
Liz: Merry Christmas, Carlotta.
Carlotta: Thank you.
Liz: Glad you could join us.
Carlotta: Oh, thank you so much for inviting me into your home.
Liz: I'll take that.
Carlotta: Mm-hmm. I'm going to be spending Christmas with him instead of my son?
Keri: Mrs. Vega, would you like a drink?
Carlotta: Uh -- before Midnight Mass?
Keri: Sorry.
Liz: I will.
Carlotta: Well, perhaps, I'm old fashioned, but for me, Christmas Eve is all about reflecting on the miracle of Christ’s birth at Christmas.
Antonio: The miracle will be if we could all act like a family for Keri's sake. Think we might be able to do that?
***********************************************
Matthew: There's no Santa Claus?
Sam: Oh, of course there's a Santa Claus.
Matthew: But she said --
Sam: No, no, no. What Starr meant was that Santa only shows up after you've gone to bed. If you're still awake, he's -- he doesn't come. Right, Starr?
Starr: Yeah. Right. So what'd you get me anyway?
Sam: Ah. You're here.
Todd: Yeah. Of course I'm here. I -- I live here.
Sam: Well, good. Then you can keep an eye on the kids.
Todd: Where do you think you're going?
Sam: Well, what do you think? Are you going to get out of my way, or am I going to have to do it for you?
Todd: You know, you put Blair in danger every time you come here. Is that what you want?
Sam: I came here so Matthew could give your children his Christmas presents.
Todd: And that makes everything okay?
Sam: Look, this place is like Fort Knox, Todd. Now, if you don't let me see Blair, I'm going to start to thinking maybe there's something you're concerned about more than just Blair's safety.
Todd: Like what?
Sam: Like maybe you're still in love with her.
Todd: Hmm. That was a good one -- ha-ha.
Sam: Thanks. Oh, and by the way, don't let Matthew eat any chocolate. If he does, he gets all wound up and he doesn't sleep well at night.
Todd: Hey, Matthew. My name's Todd. Want some chocolate?
Matthew: Sure.
Todd: No, no, take them all.
Starr: Dad? Are you mad because Sam's with you-know-who, or are you mad because you have to stay down here with us?
***********************************************
Sam: Merry Christmas.
Blair: Sam! Merry Christmas to you! Oh! Oh, how did you get past Todd?
Sam: Oh, I have my ways.
Blair: Oh, I missed you so much.
Sam: I missed you, too.
Blair: Mmm! Thank you so much for this tape.
Sam: Oh, I'm --
Blair: I love it!
Sam: I'm glad you like it.
Blair: Like it? Sam, I love it. You know what? You gave me the one thing that I didn't think that I was ever going to get to have -- I get to watch my beautiful daughter sing her solo in the school Christmas pageant.
Sam: Yeah, I know it's not the same as the real thing, but --
Blair: Stop. I don't want to focus on what I don't have. I want to focus on what I do have, and I have you here with me right now.
Sam: Yes, you do.
Blair: Mmm.
Sam: How are you? Are you all right?
Blair: Yeah, I'm fine.
Sam: Yeah? What about Todd? How is he treating you?
Blair: He -- it's fine. You know.
Sam: What is it?
Blair: Well, what do you mean?
Sam: Well, you know, when I was seeing my old buddy Todd downstairs, I got the distinct impression that -- that he still has feelings for you. I mean, not that he would ever admit that.
Blair: Yeah, right. Todd ever admitting he has feelings? I -- you know what? I think you're right about that, Sam. And I guess you want to know if I feel the same way about Todd.
Sam: Only if you want to tell me.
Blair: Well, I think I should. I think I might be a little afraid to, though.
***********************************************
Gabrielle: I meant to get eggnog, but --
Al: Oh --
Gabrielle: Here you go.
Al: This is okay.
Gabrielle: Good.
Al: No ring.
Gabrielle: Oh, that.
Al: Yeah -- that. Hey, last time I was here, you were totally freaking out. You thought he was going to pop the question. So?
Gabrielle: He didn’t. He gave me something much nicer than a proposal, though.
Al: Oh, really? What's that?
Gabrielle: Tickets to "The Nutcracker."
Al: Well, that's -- that's your favorite, so --
Gabrielle: Yeah. It was lovely, very, very lovely.
Al: So you're really glad that he didn't ask you?
Gabrielle: Absolutely! In fact, I was quite relieved.
Al: Well, I mean, you did say that you were afraid he felt pressured.
Gabrielle: And I don't want to get married again, anyway. You know, I like things the way they are. I like what Bo and I have together very much.
Al: Sure, that's good if you -- if you mean it.
Gabrielle: Well, of course I mean it.
Bo: Gabrielle -- oh, hey. Hey, Al. How's it going?
Al: Everything's really good. I just wanted to stop by and thank you. I had a really great time being Santa at the Community Center.
Bo: Oh, good, good. That's great to hear. Oh, are you a sight for sore eyes.
Gabrielle: Oh. I'm so happy to see you back. So did you -- did you find her?
Bo: Uh -- no, no, not yet, but I'm going to run the operation from here tonight.
Gabrielle: Oh.
Al: The operation?
Bo: Uh -- yeah. You know what, Al? You're Jessica's oldest friend. I think you should know.
Al: What? I mean, what's going on?
Bo: Jess is missing.
***********************************************
Natalie: I always hated Christmas.
Cristian: How come?
Natalie: You know, it's never what you expected. When I was a kid, I used to wish that it could be just like the ones on the toy commercials. You know, they all came running down the stairs in their robes and opening Christmas presents. I always thought it'd be cool if somehow I could get put into the TV and I could spend Christmas with their families.
Cristian: Yeah, I used to wish the same thing.
Natalie: Really?
Cristian: Yeah, but just for the -- you know, the commercials with the remote-controlled car. That one.
Natalie: You know the weird thing, though? I mean, this year, I'm here and I have -- I have that Christmas and I got the robes and the Christmas presents underneath the tree and --
Cristian: Wasn't as great as you thought it would be?
Natalie: I -- I broke Jessica's special ornament, and she was pretty upset. I mean, it was an accident.
Cristian: You didn't mean to.
Natalie: No, no, I didn't. I said I was sorry but, you know, she was still upset. I got to tell you, though --
Cristian: What?
Natalie: I really wasn't sorry. I me, Jessica had everything. She always had everything. And I resented that.
Cristian: Well, you know what, Natalie? That makes sense. I mean, you grew up with nothing.
Natalie: Yeah. But now it turns out that the only reason Jessica has any of this -- I mean, the whole reason she's even in this house was because Mitch Laurence is her father. And I'm sorry, but I wouldn't trade my hell of a life with Roxy for any of this, not if it meant that my whole world would have to fall apart like Jessica's.
Cristian: Yeah, yeah, I guess. I still can't believe this is happening.
Natalie: I still can't believe that I married the monster that did this to her.
Cristian: Well, Natalie, you didn't know who he was. I mean, you didn't know Michael Lazarus was Mitch Laurence.
Natalie: Yeah, well, I should have known.
Cristian: How?
Natalie: I don't know. I just -- I should have known.
Cristian: Look, the only reason you married Mitch was because you thought I was marrying Jen. If it's anybody's fault, it's mine.
Natalie: Look, Jen -- Jen was pregnant. She needed you.
Cristian: Yeah, well, you're right, she did. But it's over now.
Natalie: How'd she take it?
Cristian: Well, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Jen took it incredibly well.
***********************************************
Jen: I tried so hard. I told lies, I did everything I could think of, but Cristian still broke up with me because he loves Natalie.
Lindsay: I'm sorry, Honey.
Jen: Yeah, me, too.
Lindsay: You are a wonderful girl. You are. I told you you're going to find a fantastic man to love you the way you deserve to be loved, and I meant that.
Jen: Cristian's going to be sorry that he hurt me, just like you're going to make Troy sorry that he hurt you.
Lindsay: What I'm doing to Troy is -- is nothing like that.
***********************************************
Nora: God, Troy, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Troy: You know, I kept that ring at the office so that you wouldn't find it.
Nora: Yep, but I did.
Troy: Well, I guess that's okay because it's for you. Nora, I brought this ring home tonight to give to you. I've been wanting to ask you to marry me for a long time. I want you to be my wife. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
***********************************************
Liz: Carlotta?
Carlotta: Oh, no, thank you. I'm fine.
Liz: Okay.
Keri: I would like to propose a toast. I'm so happy to be spending this Christmas with my mother.
Liz: Aw.
Keri: There was a time that I didn't think that was going to be possible. And I can't help but think that this baby I'm carrying for her is responsible.
Carlotta: And I'm so grateful that this scare was really just a false alarm. I mean, what are the odds of that abnormal chromosome being the same --
Liz: Ah! Let's not talk about that tonight, okay, Carlotta? Let's -- brownie, anybody? We don't want to upset Keri again.
Hank: Yeah, thanks. You know, these are some great brownies tonight.
Keri: Well, don't look at me. My mom did all the work.
R.J.: The apple pie, too? Well, that's outstanding.
Liz: Thank you.
Antonio: Mmm -- I'll second that.
Carlotta: Well, for my family, Christmas Day is really the day of feasting. That's the day when we get together and we really celebrate what Christmas is all about -- you know, being together and grateful for what we have. Unfortunately, this year, my sons don't feel like it's fit to spend Christmas Day together.
Antonio: Mami. Look, Cristian is where Bo thinks he's going to be safe.
Carlotta: I know that, Antonio, but what about you?
R.J.: Look, Carlotta, my daughter has invited you here to join her family. You could pretend to be gracious.
Carlotta: Why are you talking about family? Up until recently, you didn't even know what it meant to be a parent.
Liz: Excuse me? Don't blame R.J. for that. He and I both made a lot of mistakes, all right?
Hank: Look, you know what? Maybe we should all just leave, all right? Listen, Keri, R.J. and I, we can see you tomorrow.
Antonio: No! Look, you know what? You guys, really, I'm going to be honest with you. I mean, the reason we got together tonight is because we want to spend Christmas alone together, a nice quiet Christmas alone. Is that too much to ask?
***********************************************
Natalie: Look; I know how hard it is for you to hurt anyone, especially Jen.
Cristian: Yeah, I mean, I hated having to do that to her, but, I mean, there was nothing left between us. And I think she knew that.
Natalie: Really?
Cristian: Well, yeah. It seemed like she -- like she was ready for it, like she knew what I had to say.
Natalie: Maybe she didn't.
Cristian: She didn't get angry or blame me for anything.
Natalie: Well, that's pretty amazing, I mean, but I got to tell you, Jen's a very strong girl. I mean, when her mom broke out of prison, she came here because she was worried about my mom and me.
Cristian: Yeah, she is strong. I mean, even now, knowing how much I love you, she's okay. And I do love you, Natalie. And I'm not going to let Mitch Laurence keep me from being with you.
Natalie: You know, all this is going to be over soon. Mitch is going to be behind bars and then Jessica will come back, and finally, you and I can be together.
Cristian: We are together. Merry Christmas.
***********************************************
Jen: How can you say that what you're doing to Troy is any different from what I'm doing to Cristian?
Lindsay: Nora already has her doubts about Troy. That's why she's spying on him.
Jen: Why shouldn't she? He lied to her.
Lindsay: So he's not perfect.
Jen: What if Nora doesn't care that he's not perfect?
Lindsay: Nora expects all of her men to be perfect. She expects everyone to be perfect because she thinks she is.
Jen: She is pretty high on herself.
Lindsay: All that matters is that I can be there for Troy in a way that Nora will never be able to be.
Jen: What do you mean?
Lindsay: When Nora finds out the truth about Troy, he's going to see her for what she really is, and I'll be there to pick up the pieces.
***********************************************
Nora: You want to marry me?
Troy: Of course I do, but you already knew that.
Nora: Well, I got a feeling that you kind of got pushed into this because I was prying.
Troy: What? No, Nora. Not at all.
Nora: This wouldn't have necessarily been your idea and that you, not really, are ready for this, you know?
Troy: Nora, what are you talking about? I bought the ring, didn't I?
Nora: Yeah, and if you wanted to propose, you would have proposed a lot sooner, you know?
Troy: Listen to me. I have never had any second thoughts about spending the rest of my life with you, not one.
Nora: Then why have you been holding on to it all this time?
Troy: I was waiting for the perfect time. But there is no perfect time, Nora. You know something? Every morning when I wake up, I have to pinch myself so that I'll believe that I'm really with you. And every morning when I wake up, I worry if this is the day that you'll realize that you've made a mistake and that you don't want to be with me anymore, because I don't deserve you, Nora.
Troy: Look, Nora, I don't want to hurt you, okay? And I'm afraid that I will.
Nora: Of course you will. And you know what? I'm going to hurt you, too.
Troy: No, Nora, that’s not what --
Nora: No. That's what happens when you're in love. That is just what happens. But it's the love that gets you through those times, like I'm hoping our love will get us through this time.
Troy: I don't ever want to lose you.
Nora: Oh, I've got some really bad news for you. You are so stuck with me. I'm totally yours.
***********************************************
Carlotta: Tonio, why didn't you tell us that in the first place?
Antonio: Well, because we didn't want to hurt your feelings.
Carlotta: Oh, so you ended up helping me to make things harder on you. Keri, I'm so sorry that I pressured you about Christmas.
Keri: No, it's all right. Really, it's fine.
Hank: No, it's not fine. Listen, you two worked really hard. The bottom line is we just need to get out of here and give you some time together.
R.J.: No, no. They never should have tried to throw us all together in the first place.
Keri: R.J., I wanted to see you guys. It's just that we were thinking --
Liz: Honey, look, I'm just going to clear out tonight. Merry Christmas. No problem.
Keri: No! Mom, we can't stay at Antonio’s place.
Antonio: Yeah.
Liz: No, no, nonsense! I'm -- I'll just -- I'll stay at The Palace. No big deal.
Hank: Actually, I think The Palace is booked up.
Liz: Oh.
Hank: You know what? You can stay at my place. I've got a very comfortable couch.
R.J. Cou-- couch? No, I can do better than a couch. Look, you can have Keri's old room in my apartment. And don't panic. There will be an entire apartment between us.
Liz: Fine. I'll take it. Thank you, R.J., and thank you for your offer, Hank.
Hank: Not a problem, but it still stands if you change your mind.
R.J.: Why in the world would she do that?
Hank: I'm just saying --
Keri: Ahem.
Liz: Hey, guys, no fighting. It's Christmas. I'll go get my stuff.
Carlotta: Merry Christmas.
Keri: Merry Christmas.
Carlotta: Feliz Navidad.
Keri: Feliz Navidad.
Carlotta: Thank you. Feliz Navidad.
Antonio: Benedicion, Mami.
Carlotta: Esta bendiga.
Hank: Well, you -- Merry Christmas.
Keri: Merry Christmas.
Hank: Good night. Antonio.
Antonio: Thanks, Hank.
Hank: Yeah.
Keri: Ahem, ahem -- so?
R.J.: So what?
Keri: So what was that with Mom before?
[R.J. laughs]
R.J.: Well, we had a nice little talk before the, you know, scare with the baby.
Keri: So, I guess it is true. There is a Santa Claus.
***********************************************
Sam: Why would you be afraid to tell me how you feel about Todd?
Blair: Well, if I tell you how I feel about Todd, that would mean I'd have to tell you how I feel about you.
Sam: Well, is that a bad thing?
Blair: Well, yeah, it is when we can't spend that much time together, Sam.
Sam: I'm not sure if I follow.
Blair: I'm crazy about you.
Sam: Oh, the feeling is mutual. I'm crazy about you, too.
Blair: And I hate it that we can't be together. I really hate it!
Sam: I hate it, too, but I'm going to find a way that we can be together, I promise.
Blair: Without Todd?
Sam: Oh, definitely without Todd. Count on that.
Blair: I think I kind of like that.
***********************************************
Todd: No, Starr, I'm not mad about having to -- I mean, hanging out with you and Jack. You and Jack are great.
Starr: What about --
Todd: Oh, what, the paste eater over there? No, I don't care.
Starr: So you're mad because Sam's with Mom?
Todd: Matthew's a little old to be believing in Santa Claus, don't you think?
Starr: I know. He acts like such a baby. And you know what? He actually likes playing with Jack.
Todd Jack's not so bad.
Starr: Yeah, not now. But what if he keeps hanging out with Matthew?
Todd: Oh. I see what you're saying. You know, maybe we shouldn't let Matthew come here anymore.
Starr: Or Sam.
Todd: You don't like Sam either?
Starr: Where do you think Matthew gets it from?
Todd: You know something, Starr? When I was stuck on that deserted island forever and ever, I kept looking at this picture that I had of you and Jack, and every time I looked at it, I would -- I would think about how much I wanted to get back here.
Starr: Because you love us.
Todd: Yeah. And I wanted to be here with you -- no, not just Christmas, but every day -- your birthday, Halloween, Arbor Day.
Starr: Who cares about Arbor Day? I'm just glad that you're back. Me and Jack both are.

Bo: So Jessica got real upset and then she ran off.
Al: I don't believe this. I mean, this is --
Bo: It's bad. She thinks that everybody's been lying to her.
Al: Well, I got to find her.
Gabrielle: No, wait a minute. Bo's got the entire police force out there looking for her. It's all right.
Al: Yeah, well, there are probably a couple of places where they didn't look, you know? I mean, places where, I don't know, she feels safe.
Bo: Do you have any idea where these places might be?
Al: No, I don't, but that's not going to stop me from looking.
Gabrielle: Oh.
Al: Yeah, I'm sorry, Mom.
Gabrielle: You know how proud I am of you?
Al: Thanks.
Gabrielle: Merry Christmas.
Al: Merry Christmas.
Bo: Thank you, Al.
Al: No problem. I'll see you guys.
Bo: Okay. I'm sorry, too. You know, I've been gone too much.
Gabrielle: No, no, you don't need to apologize to me. I know how crazy everything's been lately.
Bo: Well, but you know what? I haven't even had a chance to ask you, how was "The Nutcracker"?
Gabrielle: Oh. Thank you so much for arranging for Nigel to be my escort. He was -- he was the perfect companion for the evening.
Bo: Hmm. Well, I'm glad.
Gabrielle: Although it wasn't exactly the same as going in on the arm of the most handsome man in Llanview, mind you.
Bo: Oh, jeez --
Gabrielle: But that's all right because I know how hard you're working to protect your family and everyone who lives here in Llanview to keep them all safe. And that means so much more to me than you coming with me to some silly little ballet.
[Gabrielle laughs]
Bo: Yeah, but, you know, if it wasn't for work, I would have loved to have gone with you to the silly little ballet.
Gabrielle: Yeah, right.
Bo: I would have. I'd have loved it. I love you.
Bo: I do. I do, Gabrielle. I do. I love you.
Gabrielle: I love you.
[Music plays]
