One Life to Live Transcript Friday 12/20/02
Blair: Well, I got my answer. You do care about me.
Nora: She has an amulet identical to the one you threw away.
Troy: Lindsay still has feelings for me.
Viki: It is imperative that Mitch not get to Jessie.
***********************************************
Mitch: You don't know me.
Jessica: Yes, I do. You're evil.
Mitch: I'm your father.
Jessica: You're not my father.
Mitch: But I am.
Jessica: Why would you even say something like that?
Mitch: Because it's true. That's why Viki sent you away. She wanted to keep you away from the truth.
Jessica: No, she wanted to protect me because you're dangerous.
Mitch: No, I'm not. Although, some people consider the truth to be dangerous. I think that deep down, you already know that this is true.
***********************************************
Nora: Okay, so, you know what we're doing, right?
Keri: Yes, but I'm not sure what you think you're going to find.
Nora: I -- I don't know. We're just going to find out why Lindsay had a copy of this amulet made.
Keri: Well, what are the chances of that?
Nora: I don't know. All Daphne would say on the phone was that Lindsay had this made for a special man in her life, and then she clammed up.
Keri: Nora, you said to Troy that you were going to lighten up about Lindsay, remember?
Nora: Yes, I did. But that was before Daphne called.
Keri: But Troy said that he didn't know or care where she had the amulet made.
Nora: Well, that's because he doesn't like it when I get upset about Lindsay and stuff, you know, that's all.
Keri: So maybe we should back off.
Nora: No, we can't back off because Lindsay's up to something and that upsets me even more, and I need to find out what it is, okay? You ready? Let's go.
***********************************************
Troy: You don't want me to be with Nora on Christmas. Is that right?
Lindsay: That's correct. As a present to me.
Troy: That's interesting. But Nora and I have already made plans.
Lindsay: I'm guaranteeing you that I'm not going to say a word to Nora about anything until after Christmas. But in exchange, I want my Christmas present.
Troy: Right -- Nora and me apart on Christmas.
Lindsay: It's not really that much when you think about it.
Troy: Oh, no, I've thought about it, and it's a lot.
Lindsay: Well, here's another thing for you to think about. If I don't get what I want for Christmas, neither will you.
***********************************************
Sam: Yeah, yeah, yeah, a little bit later, but right now I've got a patient I've still got to interview at the hospital. And I need you to get those papers out today. They've got to be signed by Friday. Okay, thanks. Oh, and put a rush on that package to Todd Manning.
Blair: Ooh, you are just going to love Christmas morning. You know that? Yes, you are. Oh, but, Jack, I just wish that I could take you outside, though, to show you all the other Christmas lights and let you see Santa. Here you go. You want to hold that?
[Jack coos]
Blair: Yeah. You know, if it weren't for your daddy and Sam, I guess I wouldn't be even holding you right now. You know, your daddy's been really terrific, Jack. He sure has. Yep. There you go. He loves you so, so very much, and I know that now. I guess the big question is, how do I feel about your daddy?
***********************************************
Natalie: Mom, wait. I deserve to know what's going on with Jessica. She's my sister.
Viki: I -- I just need to find her before Mitch does.
Cristian: Do you think he'd hurt her?
Viki: Not physically, but he could destroy her emotionally.
Natalie: How? I mean, what could he say or do to her?
Viki: I'm just going to try and call her. I've got to talk to her before Mitch does. Maybe she's at Llanfair.
***********************************************
Jessica: No, it can't be true.
[Phone rings]
Mitch: You're right -- we shouldn't be interrupted right now. We have important matters to discuss.
[Mitch disconnects phone]
Mitch: Please don't be afraid. I could never hurt my own daughter.
Jessica: I'm not your daughter.
Mitch: Yes, Jessica, you are. I came back from the dead for you.
***********************************************
Viki: Nobody's answering, and the machine isn't even picking up. That means something's wrong.
Natalie: Mom, Mom, Seth said that Jessica was coming back to find you, right?
Viki: Yes, but why wouldn't she answer the telephone?
Cristian: Well, maybe she's not at Llanfair. Wait a minute. When she called you, did she tell you where she was?
Natalie: No. Wait a minute. No, she used her cell phone.
Viki: That means she could be anywhere. I'm just going to go home. I've got to get to Llanfair because I've got to find her. She's going to need us. She's going to -- she's going to need all of us.
Natalie: Wait a minute, okay? You are just way too upset. I'm going to drive you, okay?
Viki: Okay.
Cristian: I think that's a good idea. That way you can call some people on the way. Maybe someone's seen Jessica.
Viki: Yeah, okay.
Natalie: Cris, you should stay here. I mean, Mitch is going to be going after you.
Cristian: Ah, forget Mitch. I'm going to follow you in my car. And I'll call the cops. That way they can give us an escort.
Viki: This is such a nightmare.
Cristian: Try not to worry, Mrs. Davidson. Jessica knows who Mitch is, and there's no way he's going to trick her the way he did Natalie.
Natalie: Definitely. I mean, Jessica is way too strong. She's not going to believe a pack of lies.
Viki: I'm more worried about the truth.
***********************************************
Jessica: I know who my parents are -- Viki and Clint Buchanan. I know that for sure. I -- my mom had the tests done.
Mitch: Yes, on you and Natalie and herself.
Jessica: What?
Mitch: Viki is indeed your mother, but I'm afraid Clint doesn't quite measure up in the D.N.A. department.
Jessica: No -- no, no. Natalie is my twin, and her father is --
Mitch: Her father is Clint, yes. The two of you were conceived very close together.
Jessica: What?? My -- my mom would never sleep with you. That's disgusting.
Mitch: Your mother and I shared a brief moment together. And you were the result.
Jessica: You're a liar!
Mitch: A most beautiful result.
Jessica: I'm not listening to any more. Get out.
Mitch: A wonderful baby who grew up to be a very beautiful young woman, and she's now standing before me -- my child.
Jessica: Stop it.
Mitch: No one can say that what Viki and I shared together was something ugly, even though she tried to cover it up, not when it resulted in such a beautiful daughter --
Jessica: No.
Mitch: Such a miraculous, lovely gift --
Jessica: No, no!
Mitch: Jessica!
***********************************************
Blair: Do you like the lights, Jack? Oh, it's so hard to say how I feel about your daddy. Everything's just so mixed up, Jack. Yep. But I can tell you this much. You going to put it on the tree? I can tell you this much -- I never thought that I would care again. Yep. Oh, but, Jack, now it's just so strange. I -- before your daddy came back, before I realized what a self-serving slime he was, before I realized that I hated him so much and I wanted to wring his neck and I never wanted to see his disgusting face again --
Todd: All right, that's enough.
Blair: Todd. I didn't realize you were downstairs.
Todd: Sure, you did.
Blair: Excuse me?
Todd: You knew I was listening. That's why you did a 180 and started yammering about how much you hated my guts, because you knew I heard what you said before.
***********************************************
Troy: I don't know, Lindsay. Christmas is a very special time for Nora's little boy.
Lindsay: It's probably a special time for you and Nora, as well.
Troy: For me and Nora, as well, of course it is.
Lindsay: So maybe you can come up with -- I don't know -- some kind of hospital emergency.
Troy: That's a great plan.
Lindsay: Well, you better come up with something because come December 25th, you and Nora are not to be together, day or night.
Troy: What are you trying to prove here?
Lindsay: I'm not trying to prove anything.
Troy: No? So then what's your point?
Lindsay: I want justice.
Troy: Justice?
Lindsay: That's what Nora's always fighting for, isn't it, especially with me?
Troy: There it is right there. I knew it. This is a way for you to get back at Nora.
Lindsay: Actually, this has more to do with you. I can't think of any better justice than you being alone and miserable on Christmas. Wasn't it last Christmas that you were torturing me, seducing me, making love to me? And all to just get a confession? You told me that you loved me. You told me that we were getting married. Oh. You know what? Why not? Why shouldn't Nora be in just as much pain as you are on Christmas Day? And don't you worry, I will be watching.
Troy: No.
Lindsay: "No," what?
Troy: No, I'm not going to do it.
Lindsay: No, you don't want my gift?
Troy: What I don't want, Lindsay, is to be away from Nora on Christmas Day or any other day that we get a chance to be together, so my answer to you is no.
Lindsay: You just made a big mistake.
***********************************************
Daphne: Yeah, we'll get that out to you as soon as we can. Hi. Just sign the guest register. I'll be with you in a second. Excuse me? It should be to you -- no -- it should take no longer than 10 days. Okay? I'm sorry?
Keri: Nora --
Nora: Hmm?
Keri: This is a really nice store. I have a hard time believing that this designer would be involved in some conspiracy with Lindsay.
Nora: Well, that's what we're here to find out.
Daphne: Okay.
Keri: This stuff costs a fortune.
Nora: Well, see, Lindsay was willing to pay a fortune in order to get that amulet made. What does that tell you?
Daphne: Okay, bye. Hello. I'm Daphne Wallace. Welcome.
Keri: Thank you. You have a lovely store.
Daphne: Thank you, Ms. -- Reynolds?
Keri: Yes.
Daphne: And Ms. Hanen. How may I help you?
Keri: I am looking for a Christmas present for my fiancé.
Nora: A very special man.
Daphne: Have we met before?
Nora: No. No. No, my first time.
Daphne: Christmas is awfully close, Ms. Reynolds. Most of my clients come in for an original design, which takes time, of course.
Keri: Of course. But, you know, I did see some really nice things over here.
Daphne: Yeah, these are quite lovely. Some are my own design. Some are imported from Taipei or Luxembourg.
Nora: I'm just going to look around.
Daphne: Are you looking for anything special?
Nora: I'll know it when I see it.
***********************************************
Lindsay: I offered not to say anything to Nora about Joanna before Christmas, but if you don't want to accept my gift, so be it. Lucky for me, I brought an alternate gift. Merry Christmas.
Troy: Where did you get this?
Lindsay: Marriage License Bureau in Philadelphia. I did my homework.
Troy: Obviously.
Lindsay: You can throw this one away. It is kind of wrinkled. And actually, the one that I plan on putting in Nora's stocking is going to be a nice new copy. Or should I be putting it under her tree? What do you think?
Troy: You know what I think, Lindsay? I think you can do whatever the hell you want to do because we both know as soon as you give this license to Nora that that will be the end of Nora and me.
Lindsay: Oh, that'll be the end, all right.
Troy: And I'll be on the next flight to California. But I am still going to be with Nora this Christmas!
***********************************************
Sam: Whoops. I'm sorry. I didn't know anybody was here. I just came to drop off some papers.
Todd: So --
Blair: What?
Todd: Don't you think we should finish?
Blair: Finish what?
Todd: We were having a conversation.
Blair: Oh, you mean before I took Jack upstairs? No, you were having a monologue. I wasn't saying anything.
Todd: Yeah, you were. You were saying that I was slime and that you couldn't stand my disgusting face.
Blair: Oh. That. Yeah. Yeah, I -- I said that. You're a pretty good snooper there, Todd. You heard me correctly.
Todd: Yeah, but you only said all that stuff because you knew that I was listening.
Blair: Yeah, and while you were snooping, did you catch the part where I hate missing Christmas and being able to take my children to things when I can't?
Todd: Jack doesn't even know what day it is.
Blair: That's not even the point, Todd.
[Blair sighs]
Blair: I can't take them down to the mall to see Santa, can't take them to the tree lighting ceremony. You know, Starr even had a sweet little Christmas pageant at school, and I couldn't even be there to see her. I missed the whole thing!
Todd: So what? Come on, what would you rather do, go see some kids act out stupid story or, you know, get shot by some guy in the mob?
Blair: I can't go on like this, Todd. I -- I can't live like this anymore.
Todd: You mean you can't live like this anymore with me again?
***********************************************
Jessica: No. No. No, that is not true.
Mitch: I didn't want it to happen like this. I mean, your mother had so many chances to explain. I'm sorry. She just kept on lying.
Jessica: You get away from me.
Mitch: I guess Viki must have had her reasons for not telling you the truth.
Jessica: No, my mother did not lie to me.
Mitch: Do you remember when we first met, Jessica? You interrupted me and your mother. We were arguing. We were talking about you, remember? She introduced me as Michael Lazarus.
Jessica: So?
Mitch: I couldn't take my eyes off you. I'm sure you felt it. You seemed uncomfortable. What reason did your mother give you for making you leave town?
Jessica: She wanted to protect me.
Mitch: From what? She knew that I would never hurt my own daughter.
Jessica: Stop saying that. I'm not your daughter.
Mitch: Did she give you any other reason?
Jessica: No.
Mitch: But?
Jessica: But I knew that she was holding something from me that she wasn't ready to explain.
Mitch: Yes.
Jessica: And my boyfriend knew.
Mitch: Others knew, as well. I'm not fabricating this, Jessica. It would be too easy to prove me wrong.
Jessica: Well, they will. They'll prove you wrong. I know they will.
Mitch: If your mother hasn't already destroyed it, I could show you proof I gave her a sample of my hair. She had it tested. The D.N.A. leaves no doubt. But I don't think you need to see the results of a test. I think you know. That's why your mother sent you away. That's the secret they've been keeping from you. I am your father.
Jessica: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. It's true.
***********************************************
Blair: Well, of course I can't live here with you, Todd. I hate you.
Todd: Okay, I was listening, remember?
Blair: Oh, well, all right. You know what? I -- I don't hate you as much as I used to hate you. You've helped me, Todd. You and Sam fixed it so I could see my children.
Todd: Oh -- is this Sam's house that you're staying in? Did Sam fix it so that you could go visit your sick mother?
Blair: You know what? I'm trying to give you a little credit here. Why don't you just accept it?
Todd: Why don't you just tell me what you were going to say to Jack before you knew that I was listening?
Blair: Like what?
Todd: Like what you really think, or how you really feel about me.
Blair: Well, I was going to say that --
[Doorbell rings]
Todd: Go upstairs.
Todd: Yeah?
Man: Delivery from Mr. Rappaport's office.
Todd: Why is it always him? What?
Man: Mr. Rappaport wanted you to have these papers right away.
Todd: What?
Man: Merry Christmas, Sir.
[Footsteps]
Todd: Hey! What -- what are you doing? This guy could still be here. You know you're supposed to stay upstairs until I call for you.
Blair: Well, look, I heard the door slam, okay? So I just assumed that I --
Todd: Hey, your life is at stake here. Don't assume anything.
Blair: Okay, you know what? Fine. Why don't we just move on to something else, all right?
Todd: Whatever.
Blair: What are those papers?
Todd: Nothing. Just a bunch of, you know, my really, really important business stuff. Look, what -- what were we talking about?
Blair: No, I'll tell you what's important, but I saw you -- what is this?
Todd: Nothing.
Blair: "Nothing" with my name on it. This a Christmas present? Can't even get it open. It's a videotape. What's on it?
***********************************************
Viki: Jessica?
Natalie: Jessica, are you here?
Viki: Jessie? Jessie?
Cristian: Jess?
Natalie: Jess?
Cristian: Jess, you here?
Viki: Lois left hours ago. She wouldn't know anything. You know what? I'm just going to go and find her.
Natalie: Mom, wait.
Viki: What?
Cristian: Mrs. Davidson, don't you think that maybe you're a little too upset to be driving?
Natalie: Yeah. Seth said that she would come here, right? I mean, you should just stay here. Maybe she'll show up.
Viki: Darling, she may have already been here and then she might have left, gone to -- I don't know where -- al holden's or somebody.
Cristian: Stay with Natalie. You'll be safe here. The cops are right outside. I'll go check some places where Jessica might have gone.
Natalie: No, no. Look, Mitch is looking for you. He said he would kill you.
Cristian: Look, Natalie, that was just a threat to keep you in line, but you're out of his life now, okay, and he knows that I'm not going to let you go back. And whatever the threat was, it doesn't mean anything anymore.
Natalie: Look, I don't know. You didn't hear what he said. I mean, he just gives me the creeps.
Cristian: Now, look, don't worry. I'm going to be okay. I promise.
Natalie: You better be. This man is crazy.
Cristian: Yeah, but we're onto him. Look, as soon as I know anything, I'll call you. I'll call your cell.
Natalie: Okay.
Natalie: Mom, Jessica's a lot tougher than I am, okay? She's going to be okay. I'm positive.
Viki: Is that a twin thing? Hmm?
Natalie: What?
Viki: When you were off getting married to Mitch, Jessie was having these feelings. She said she had a sense that you were in danger. She said she thought it was because you were twins.
Natalie: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, sometimes I get these feelings I can't explain, and I'm feeling that right now. Look, Jessica's not in any danger.
Viki: You are such a bad liar. But thank you very much. Wherever she I whatever she has to face, we'll just have to help her through it.
***********************************************
Mitch: I'm glad you're finally able to face the truth, Jessica.
Jessica: I've had to face a lot of things -- Natalie and I being switched, finding out that my mom was Roxanne, then finding out that my real mom was my mom --
Mitch: And now this, this last thing.
Jessica: Are you sure?
Mitch: Yes.
Jessica: No.
Mitch: Jessica, I can see how much this has hurt you, all this lying. I'm very sorry. I wish I could have told you the truth years and years ago. You must have a great many questions. =
Jessica: Yes.
Mitch: Ask me.
Jessica: Why?
Mitch: Why did your mother lie?
Jessica: No. Why did you take me from the hospital when I was born? Why did you switch me and Natalie?
Mitch: I wanted to be with you. I wanted to hold you. I wanted to see the color of your eyes. I wanted to hear the sound of your little voice. I wanted to feel your warmth. I wanted that for as long as possible, but unfortunately I could only have that for a short while after you were born. Everyone thought I was dead. I -- if I had been found alive, I would have been in terrible trouble with the law.
Jessica: So you -- you spent a little time with m while everyone thought that you were dead?
Mitch: Yes.
Jessica: But why the switch? You had Allison kidnap Natalie.
Mitch: That's right.
Jessica: Why? I would up with my mom, and Natalie wound up with that awful woman.
Mitch: Well, Jessica, I couldn't keep you with me, not with the kind of nomad's existence that I knew was facing me. I wasn't sure if I could survive myself. I certainly couldn't put your life at risk, as well.
Jessica: No, I'm talking about the switch.
Mitch: Well, isn't it obvious? I wanted you to have a wonderful life. I wanted the best for you. And I knew Viki would make it happen, so I had you returned to Llanfair. You have to admit you did have a wonderful childhood.
Jessica: My father --
Mitch: Clint is not your father!
Jessica: I still love him.
Mitch: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Of course you do. Of course you do. I wouldn't have it any other way. But please try to understand it was horrible for me to know that another man was having all the joys of watching you grow up, hearing your first words, seeing your first steps, your first day at school. I mean, I missed all that and more, but I shouldn't -- I shouldn't have spoken harshly about Clint. I'm sorry about that. I'm -- I'm sure he did his best.
Jessica: He was wonderful.
Mitch: I'm sure he was. And I'm glad, I'm very glad. But now you know that I'm your father. Jessica, just think. We have so many wonderful days ahead of us. We have a whole lifetime to catch up on. And we will, starting right now.
***********************************************
Lindsay: Sam --
Sam: Are you all right?
Lindsay: You nearly knocked me over!
Sam: Sorry. I -- I guess I interrupted something.
Lindsay: No. No. We were just -- we were just talking about Christmas plans.
Sam: Christmas? Oh, okay. Well -- um -- oh, look. You dropped something.
Lindsay: No, no. I -- I did, I dropped it, and, actually, it belongs to Troy. There you go. Sorry about that.
Troy: Not a problem.
Lindsay: Well, I guess I better be going. So, you have a good Christmas, all right?
Troy: Oh, I intend to.
Lindsay: You have a good Christmas, too, Sam.
Sam: Right. You, too.
Troy: You -- you needed to see me, Sam, or --
Sam: Yeah, I just wanted to drop off the annual report for the DeVilbiss Foundation grant.
Troy: Oh. Right.
Sam: Everything's in order.
Troy: Right. Thank you. Look, you know what? I -- I really appreciate everything you and Nora have done to pitch in and help out the free clinic.
Sam: What you're doing here is a wonderful thing.
Troy: Yeah, well, thank you.
Sam: So is Lindsay harassing you two again?
Troy: I can handle Lindsay. Don't worry about it.
Sam: Yeah, well, so can Nora. It doesn't mean the two of you should have to.
Troy: No, really, it's -- it's fine. It's fine. Don't worry about it.
Sam: Okay. I mean, I could -- I could say something to her if you like. I mean, I don't have a whole lot of influence over her, I never really did, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
Troy: It's -- it's really no big deal. I mean, I just -- she's feeling a little down, that's all.
Sam: Yeah -- Christmas.
Troy: Yeah, yeah. We were together last year at Christmas, so --
Sam: Right.
Troy: And I guess she's just having a hard time letting it go, you know? But, really, it's fine. Thank you.
Sam: Okay.
Troy: All right.
Sam: Oh, listen, I spoke to Nora -- Matthew’s going to be spending Christmas Eve with me, so if you guys need to make plans --
Troy: No, no. Actually, we don't have any big plans. I just know that we'll be spending it together.
***********************************************
Daphne: These are some of my past designs. They'll give you a feel for the kind of work that I do.
Keri: Oh.
Daphne: Before we start, though, I'd like you to fill out this questionnaire -- information on yourself and your fiancé so I can know a little more about you.
Keri: Oh, good.
Daphne: I find the more I know about a client, the more I'm able to make a satisfying design.
Keri: Oh.
Nora: Do you have all your clients do that?
Daphne: Yes, every one. I keep them on file here in this drawer for when they come back, which they almost always do.
Nora: Oh, I'll bet. I mean, everything is exquisite.
Daphne: Oh, thank you.
Keri: You know, I -- I saw something outside that would be wonderful for my fiancé.
Daphne: Could you show it to me?
Keri: Sure.
Daphne: Great. Ms. Hanen, feel free to look around.
Nora: Thank you. I will.
Daphne: Oh, just be sure not to try to look in or open any of the cases. They're all wired with alarms.
Nora: Oh -- oh, please, no. Sticky fingers to myself.
[Nora laughs]
Nora: Sorry.
***********************************************
Viki: Honey, are you really all right? I mean, did Mitch hurt you? Did he force you to do anything --
Natalie: I'm fine. I mean, there was talk of consummating the marriage, but he was in too big of a hurry to get back to Llanview the day we got married -- thank God.
Viki: Well, at least you were spared that.
Natalie: I just still can't believe I misjudged him.
Viki: Oh, Sweetheart, the man is a master manipulator. I can't tell you how many young women were -- well, were prey to his charms.
Natalie: Not you.
Viki: Not intentionally, no.
Natalie: You know what? I'm going to go call Cris on his cell phone. I'm just feeling really anxious about what Mitch could do to him if he were to -- that's weird, there's -- there's no dial tone. Oh, my God, it's been disconnected.
Viki: What?
Natalie: Yeah, that must have been why it was ringing so much before when you called.
Viki: I wonder if this was deliberate.
Rex: Where'd Jess go?
Viki: Jessie was here?
Rex: Yeah, with that Mitch guy.
Viki: Oh, my God. They were together?
***********************************************
Jessica: Don't touch me.
Mitch: Sorry. Of course it's too soon. But I do hope to be a father to you someday, to be the one you turn to in times of trouble, when you need advice --
Jessica: Please, come on. I don't need some sanctimonious speech from you.
Mitch: Jessica, I know that you are hurt and you're confused, but you will be a daughter to me someday. I know that, and I look forward to that so very much.
Jessica: I want answers.
Mitch: Okay. Ask anything.
Jessica: You switched me with Natalie, and I wound up in Llanfair with a great family. But Natalie -- why did --
Mitch: Clint's child, yeah.
Jessica: Roxanne Balsom? Come on, you had to know that she would have a horrible life.
Mitch: You will understand everything in good time, I promise. But I think you need the answer to another question that's really in your mind.
Jessica: What?
Mitch: More than anything, you need to know the answer to why your mother gave you up.
***********************************************
["Jingle bells" plays]
Blair: Oh! Todd, this is so amazing! You videotaped the entire Christmas pageant?
Kids: Jingle all the way
Todd: Yeah, that's the pageant, all right.
Blair: Oh, look at this!
Kids: Jingle bells jingle bells
Blair: You know what? I didn't even know that you were there.
Kids: Oh, what fun it is to ride
Blair: Oh! There's -- there's Matthew. Gosh. He's going to be as handsome as his daddy.
Kids: Jingle all the way
Todd: Well, let's hope he's smarter.
Kids: Oh, what fun it is to ride
Todd: Sam's one piston short of a two-stroke, if you ask me.
Starr: Dashing through the snow
Todd: Starr's doing a solo?
Blair: You act like you're surprised.
Starr: Laughing all the way
Blair: Gosh. Listen to her. She's -- she is so great. Why didn't you tell me she was so great, Todd?
Starr: And sing a sleighing song tonight
Todd: She is great.
Kids: Oh, jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh, what fun it is to ride
Blair: You know what I think?
Kids: Hey
Blair: I just don't know how I'm ever going to thank you for this, Todd.
Kids: Jingle all the way oh, what fun it is to ride
Todd: It's no big deal --
Blair: Oh, it's a big deal; it's a huge deal. It's a very big deal to me, and you know it.
Kids: Sleigh
[Applause]
Blair: I think maybe it's the nicest thing that you've ever done for me.
Todd: Well, you're welcome.
Sam: Blair? Hi. Hi. Merry Christmas, Blair. Hi. I hope --
Blair: No --
Sam: I hope I got it all.
Blair: Give it --
Sam: I -- you know, every time I try to be a cameraman, I realize I should keep my day job.
[Sam laughs]
Sam: Anyway, I hope you like my little gift. I sent it along because I know how much you missed seeing Starr’s pageant, just like I miss seeing you here tonight. Merry Christmas.
Blair: Merry Christmas.
[Blair sighs]
***********************************************
Troy: So what's the latest on Blair? Any progress?
Sam: No. No, no, I'm afraid not. That clinic she's at in Switzerland is the best, but -- but, oh.
Troy: Yeah, well, who knows? Maybe you'll get some better news next year, right?
Sam: Let's hope so. I got to go.
Troy: All right. If you stop by later, I'll have these papers ready for you. You can pick them up.
Sam: Oh, good, good. Oh, you know what else? You know, I already invited my daughter to spend Christmas with me and she turned me down once, but I'm going to ask her again. And you know what else I could do? I could -- I could invite Lindsay, too, and at least that way she'd be out of your hair.
Troy: No, really, Sam. I appreciate it, but it's not necessary. Thank you, though. Merry Christmas.
Sam: You, too. Lindsay, what are you still doing here?
Lindsay: I'm waiting to have a prescription filled.
Sam: You know, you really should leave Nora and Troy alone. It will be better for you in the long run.
Lindsay: I'm having a prescription filled.

Nora: All by month! How am I supposed to know when Lindsay was here?

Keri: What about this one in silver?
Daphne: I thought you were looking for something for your fiancé.
Keri: It's -- it's that everything is so lovely. I –

Nora: Oh, come on, come on. Oh! The guest book. If she signed in, that'll tell me exactly the day she was here. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Come on. Come on, come on, come on, come on. Aha! "Lindsay Rappaport, October 15th." That's perfect.
Nora: "Troy MacIver"? The same day?

Viki: How long ago was Jessie here?
Rex: Not too long. She wanted to talk to that Mitch guy. She said she wanted answers.
Viki: Oh, my God.
Natalie: How could you just leave her alone?
Rex: Hey, give me a break. I didn't trust the guy and neither did she. That's why I took off to get the police, but the guys on duty said that Jess had okayed Mitch being here.
Viki: What? No!
Rex: Yeah, so I raced off to the police station, except Jess' Uncle Bo wasn't around, and the desk sergeant said that if no crime had been committed, there was nothing they could do.
Viki: Oh, my God.
Cristian: I checked the quarry, "The Banner," the student union -- no one's seen Jessica.
Natalie: Yeah, because she was here -- with Mitch.
Viki: Maybe they're still on the grounds. God, I hope it's not too late.
Natalie: Mom?
***********************************************
Jessica: My mom didn't let you take me away. You stole me from the hospital.
Mitch: No, she let me take you from the delivery room. You can ask her.
Jessica: She wouldn't do that. What are you talking about? She would never let anyone take away her baby.
Mitch: Well, she did that time.
Jessica: Well, she must have been drugged up. Probably she was unconscious.
Mitch: No, she was very much awake.
Jessica: Why would she do that?
Mitch: She hated me. She couldn't stand the thought that I was the father of her second child.
Jessica: But --
Mitch: I'm afraid that her hatred for me was stronger than her love for you. Your mother gave you up, Jessica, because she couldn't stand the sight of you.

Jen: Did you really think you were going to spend Christmas with Troy?
Antonio: What if Liz’s husband isn't the father of this child?
Cristian: We're going to find Jessica.
Seth: Yeah, if Laurence hasn't hurt her already -- because of you!
Mitch: Your own mother didn't want you.
Viki: No!
