One Life to Live Transcript Wednesday 12/18/02
Shawna: He wanted to know about your mother and whether or not she had a meltdown.
Cristian: You're not going back to Mitch Laurence -- not now, not ever.
Mitch: You made a big mistake, Natalie.
Viki: Jessica is far away, so there is no danger that she's ever going to find out that he's her father.
Jessica: Mom? I'm home.
***********************************************
Blair: Todd! Don't sneak up on me like that.
Todd: I didn't sneak up.
Blair: The hell you didn’t.
Todd: What's your problem?
Blair: What's my problem? Stuck here in this apartment seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Todd: Better than getting shot.
Blair: You know, what took you so long? You know, Jack stopped crying hours ago --
Todd: Fell asleep in his room.
Blair: You sure you weren't just avoiding answering my question?
Todd: Thought you'd be asleep by now.
Blair: What, on that ever-so-comfortable air mattress that you gave me? No, thanks. But I still want you to answer my question.
Todd: What question?
Blair: Do you care?
Todd: Why should I? You don't care about me. You got over me like I was a 24-hour stomach virus. What difference does it make whether or not I care about you?
Blair: It makes a lot of difference to me, Todd.
Todd: Well, that's your problem.
Blair: Oh, come on. Just -- just answer my question. Do you still care about me?
***********************************************
Gabrielle: Ah. Tape, tape, tape, tape, tape.
Gabrielle: "Gabrielle -- get ring the 17th." That's today.
[Doorbell rings]
Al: Hey, Mom, how you doing? Mom? Is everything okay?
Gabrielle: Bo's going to propose to me.
Al: No kidding. That's terrific!
Gabrielle: No, it's not terrific. It's awful. It's going to ruin everything.
***********************************************
Marcie: You find it?
Jen: No. Cristian hasn't bought me a single present for Christmas.
Marcie: Maybe he has and he's just hiding it someplace.
Jen: Maybe, but I doubt it.
Marcie: Well, you don't seem too upset about it.
Jen: Why should I be? Natalie's married now, so I'm the only game in town for Cristian. Okay, I don't have a present, but I have him.
Marcie: Especially with Mr. Lazarus helping you.
Jen: Only if I help him find Jessica.
Marcie: I wonder where she went.
Jen: I could kill al for butting in when I was trying to get it out of that maid.
Marcie: I don't think she was going to, anyway -- well, tell us, that is.
Jen: So we'll find out from someone else. I know one thing for sure -- something really weird is going on.
***********************************************
Rex: I think Natalie’s figured out her husband's no prize. I sure didn't think so.
Jessica: You met him?
Rex: He tracked me down at the L.U. library, started asking a whole bunch of questions.
Jessica: About what?
Rex: You.
Jessica: What kind of questions?
Rex: Where you were, how to get in touch with you.
Jessica: What? What does he want from me?
***********************************************
Mitch: You made a big mistake, Natalie.
[Phone rings]
Bo: Laurence, what a surprise. I thought I had to make an appointment to speak with you.
Mitch: You tricked me.
Bo: Oh, come on. Smart guy like you? That'd never happen.
Mitch: Where is she?
Bo: Who?
Mitch: Natalie!
***********************************************
Todd: You know, you're one of those women who has to make every man within a 50-mile radius want them.
Blair: I'm not talking about every man. I'm talking about you.
Todd: What about Sam? Sam's not enough anymore? Good old Sam?
Blair: You know what? Let's not bring Sam into this, okay?
Todd: Sam's already in this. And what about Chad? Boy-toy Chad and the whole thing you had in the alley with him? Oh, and not to forget Troy. Made those moves on Dr. Feel-good, didn't you? Pretty lousy moves, from what I hear.
Blair: You know what? You don't know anything about Troy and me or you don't know anything about Chad and me, for that matter, okay?
Todd: All I know is that you need every man in a 50-mile radius to want you, and now you're trying to include me.
Blair: Yeah, and all I know is you'd do anything to change the subject.
Todd: Okay, maybe not every man, but it seems to me you've tried to make a pretty good start.
Blair: Okay, you know what? Chad and Troy were your fault, Todd. You're the one that caused me so much pain that I had to do anything to stop thinking about it! And if Sam hadn't -- oh -- oh, oh, oh. You are so good, aren't you? You're clever. Very, very clever, Todd.
Todd: Well, thank you, I guess.
Blair: Getting me to get into an argument so you don't have to answer my question. You know what? It worked -- almost. So I want you to answer my question and I want an answer now -- do you have feelings for me? Yes or no.
Starr: Mom, Dad!
Blair: What is it, Sweetie?
Starr: There's someone asking questions about you.
***********************************************
Al: We are talking about Bo Buchanan, right? Comm. Bo Buchanan, this guy you got this big thing for? Obviously thinks you're not too bad yourself.
Gabrielle: Well, we do fit together rather well.
Al: So? What's the problem with making it official?
Gabrielle: Where do I begin? Well, first of all, if I really thought this was his idea, then maybe, perhaps, possibly I would consider it.
Al: But I don't understand. If it wasn't Bo's idea, then whose idea was it?
Gabrielle: Roxanne’s.
Al: Roxy? Wait. What are you talking about?
Gabrielle: She came over here the other day, and she was flaunting her wedding ring like it was the Nobel prize and implying that what I have with Bo was sordid or temporary at least.
Al: Mom, you know better than to listen to anything that that woman says.
Gabrielle: Yes, I do. But Bo was behind that door and he heard every single word. We even had a discussion about it afterwards. So now I am afraid that to prove that nitwit wrong, he's decided to propose to me before either one of us is ready!
Al: But Bo and you -- you guys click, you know, like I've never seen you with anybody else. Maybe you're more ready than you think you are, Mom. I mean, he does make you happy, doesn't he?
Gabrielle: I am so unbelievably happy with Bo. Happier than I've been with any other man. Even more of reason not to ruin everything.
Al: And marriage would ruin things?
Gabrielle: Yes. If it's not done right, yes.
Al: So, then, do it right. You know, I'm telling you, Mom, it feels right to me.
Gabrielle: It's too soon for me to get trapped in marriage again.
Al: Mom --
Gabrielle: No, Al, I don't want to make the same mistakes that I made with Max. And, besides, I like things the way they are. Why can't they just continue to go slowly?
Al: Because maybe Bo doesn't see it the same way you do.
Gabrielle: Oh, dear, dear. Oh, dear.
Al: So, if he asks the question, what are you going to say?
***********************************************
Bo: If I knew where Natalie was, do you really think I'd tell you?
Mitch: You sent Viki over here to distract me while you got her out.
Bo: "Got her out"? Sounds to me like she was a prisoner. If that's the case, Laurence, you better clear your schedule for the next 20 years.
Mitch: Natalie was with me of her own free will and she married me of her own free will.
Bo: It looks like she just left you of her own free will. What's that old prayer -- "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change"?
Mitch: Well, I'll change this, Buchanan, and I'll change more than this with one word.
Bo: And what word is that?
Mitch: "Father." You and Viki don't want me to know where Jessica is. You don't want to tell her that I'm her father. But I will find her, and then she will know the truth.
Bo: Oh, you haven't even found her yet? It sounds like you're just striking out all over the place, Laurence.
Mitch: Where are you hiding her? I have a right to know.
Bo: Murderers don't have any rights.
Mitch: You'd better bone up on your constitution, Commissioner. I haven't been convicted of anything. I haven't even been charged, so I am innocent.
Bo: Until proven guilty. And I will be dropping by to question you about those three deaths.
Mitch: Yeah, bring my daughter with you.
Bo: And if I can connect you to those three deaths, we're going to throw the book at you -- and I'm not talking about the good book.
Mitch: Fine, Natalie. You want to play it this way? Your lover boy is dead.
***********************************************
Cristian: Wow. That was quite a slap. You know, you could pretty much hold your own in Angel Square.
Natalie: Thank you.
Cristian: Of course, that doesn't change the fact that you kissed me.
Natalie: That was just chemistry.
Cristian: Yeah, and so is a stick of dynamite.
Natalie: Look; I never said that we didn't have an attraction for each other. I mean, so what? I'm attracted to lots of men, and that's all it is -- it's physical.
Cristian: So all those things you said to me for months -- they're all lies?
Natalie: I thought we had something going on once, but then I met Mitch and learned what real love is.
Cristian: Look --
Natalie: We have something that's, you know, a spiritual connection. It goes much deeper than our bodies. It's our minds and our souls and our --
Cristian: You know what? I didn't buy that line when you tried it on me at Llanfair or at the police station or at Mitch's house. And you know what? I'm not buying it now.
Natalie: Yeah, well, it's not my fault that you can't accept the truth.
Cristian: We both know why you're doing this, Natalie, why you're saying this. You're afraid.
Natalie: No, I'm not.
Cristian: Look, I won't let you be scared anymore. You tried running away from me. You tried planting that kiss on Mitch.
Natalie: He's my husband.
Cristian: But the one thing that you haven't tried, the one thing that would stop me cold, is looking into my eyes and telling me that you don't love me. I mean it.
Natalie: Why do you want me to hurt you like this?
Cristian: Because I love you and I can't let you go. Look, I don't care if you're trying to protect me or whoever. We have to be together.
Natalie: I'm married.
Cristian: I love you, Natalie. Now, tell me you don't love me.
Natalie: I can’t. I can’t. I can’t.
Cristian: It's going to be okay.
Natalie: No, Cris, it's not going to be okay. If I don't stay with Mitch, he's going to kill you.
***********************************************
Blair: Um -- Starr Manning, you should be in bed, Sweetie.
Starr: I couldn't sleep. So when Hedy left, I got up to tell you about the man --
Todd: Whoa, whoa. What man?
Starr: The man that got the girls to ask me questions about Mom.
Todd: What girls? Where was this, Starr? Was this somewhere around here?
Blair: Wait, Todd. Maybe you should calm down.
Todd: Don't tell me to calm down. Maybe you should get worked up. Did you hear what Starr just said?
Blair: Yes, I heard her, but she does have a very active imagination.
Starr: It wasn't my imagination. It did happen.
Todd: Oh -- yeah, fine, but where? Was it somewhere around here?
Starr: The coffee shop.
Todd: The one at the mall?
Starr: Hedy brought me there, and then these two girls came up to me and started asking me questions about Mom, asking if she was really crazy in a hospital in Switzerland.
Blair: Wait, wait. You said something about a man, Starr.
Starr: That was after. You see, I snuck back and then I saw the man paying the girls. It was like he paid them for talking to me.
Todd: Okay, Starr, listen to me. This is really important, all right? Did all of this happen the way you're telling us it happened? I mean, if I ask Hedy, will she tell me that she saw the same thing?
Starr: No, she won’t.
***********************************************
Gabrielle: Al, you know my love life is a painful one, so let's just change the subject.
Al: Listen, Mom, Bo is going to walk in here, he's going to pull out a wedding ring, and he's going to ask you to marry him. You have to have some idea of how you're going to deal with that.
Gabrielle: I know. I know how I'm going to deal with it. I will say no. It'll be difficult and it'll be painful, but what other choice do I have?
Al: You could say yes.
Gabrielle: No, I couldn't, because I know he's being pushed into this. Besides, I like things the way they are. Why do I want to complicate things?
Al: Oh, Mom, saying no will complicate things big time. That is a huge rejection. Imagine how Bo would feel.
Gabrielle: But I'm not rejecting Bo. I'm just rejecting the idea of marriage for now. I'm trying to be sensible.
Al: He's not going to understand that. He is going to think that -- that he loves you more than you love him.
Gabrielle: But that's not true.
Al: And what if this is your one and only chance? What if he figures this is it and you say no and he never asks you again?
Bo: Hey, gabrie-- hey. Al. Didn't expect to see you here.
Al: Well, my mom told me that you've been working pretty crazy hours, so I came by to keep her company.
Bo: Oh, great. Did you two have a good time?
Gabrielle: Yes. We had a very exhilarating conversation. I didn't expect to see you till much later.
Bo: Yeah, well, I made a point of getting home early because there's something that I want to -- I want to talk to you about.
Al: Oh, yeah. I was -- I was just -- I was going. I'm -- I'm going to go now. Listen -- call me? Tell me how things worked out?
Gabrielle: Yeah. I'm so glad you stopped by.
Al: Sure. Sure. Bo, see you later.
[Door opens and closes]
Gabrielle: So, Darling, what's on your mind?
***********************************************
Jessica: God, I wish he would just leave us alone.
Rex: What's the deal with this guy, anyway? Your uncle, the Ccommissioner, was over here today talking to your Mom about him. Seems like everyone's worried about this guy. Who is he?
Jessica: According to my Mom, Mitch Laurence is my family's worst nightmare.
Rex: Worse than Allison Perkins?
Jessica: He's behind everything she did.
Rex: No way.
Jessica: Yeah. Kidnapping Natalie, switching her with me -- everything.
Rex: What is he, sick?
Jessica: Very.
Rex: Well, then, why did he marry Natalie? And why did Natalie marry him?
Jessica: I don't know. But I'm sure my Mom knows.
Rex: So, ask her.
Jessica: Yeah. But I -- I feel like she's lying to me. I know Seth is lying to me.
Rex: Yeah. That's too bad.
Jessica: And Mitch keeps sending me all these text messages. Why is he trying so hard to find me?
***********************************************
Cristian: I knew it. Mrs. Davidson and I had figured out that you had to be protecting someone. She was sure it had to be me.
Natalie: Mitch knew that I -- I loved you from the first day I met him. And then he pretended to want to comfort me when you were going to go marry Jen.
Cristian: So he talked you into marrying him when you were hitting bottom. What a creep, this guy.
Natalie: A scary creep, Cristian. I was so stupid.
Cristian: No, come on, Natalie. You -- you were in a really bad place.
Natalie: But he just seemed so genuine and so sincere.
Cristian: Of course. You wouldn't have believed his line if otherwise.
Natalie: But why did I? I mean, I never loved him. I didn't love him.
Cristian: I was going to marry Jen and I didn't love her. Talk about being stupid.
Natalie: I just can't believe Mitch actually thought that -- that he could replace you in my heart. I mean, he never could.
Cristian: You think he cared?
Natalie: No. No, I think all he wanted was my money and to hurt my Mom. But still --
Cristian: What?
Natalie: When I told him that I was leaving him to go back to you, Cristian, he completely changed. I mean, he turned into this real monster.
Cristian: That was no change, Natalie. That was the real deal.
Natalie: I'm so sorry I got you involved in this, but I'm not sorry for one thing. I told Mitch the truth -- I love you.
Cristian: I love you, too.
Natalie: I wanted to be with you so badly. I was just terrified.
Cristian: You were going to stay with that psycho for me?
Natalie: Cristian, he has done so many bad things before, and he meant what he said. By now, he has gone to my room and he knows I'm not there and he knows that I'm with you. Cristian, he's going to kill you.
***********************************************
Jen: Hey, Cris, it's me. Where are you? You're probably still worrying about Natalie wherever you are. Me, too. I mean, wow. Running off and marrying some guy. I guess she must really love him, though, huh? I hope so, anyway. I wouldn't want her to be unhappy. I'm going to run out and do some Christmas shopping and I'll be late, so don't wait up, okay? I love you. Bye.
Marcie: What a riot! You wouldn't want Natalie to be unhappy.
Jen: Well, I really wouldn’t.
Marcie: You wouldn't?
Jen: Not if I could make her completely miserable. I'm just glad that he won't be able to tell me about his great love for her tonight because I won't be here.
Marcie: You know, and maybe he'll get over that whole thing when Natalie’s marriage starts to sink in.
Jen: I'm just glad he hasn't been able to tell me yet.
Marcie: Definitely.
Jen: My mom thinks that I'll have to hear it eventually, but she's wrong.
Marcie: Yeah. I mean, look what happened -- she married someone else.
Jen: Talk about luck. Things are really starting to look up.
Mitch: Evening. I was about to knock.
Jen: Hi. We were just heading out. This is my friend Marcie. What's up?
Mitch: Suppose you tell me.
Mitch: Is Natalie here?
Jen: Why would Natalie be here?
Mitch: This is the home of Cristian Vega, is it not? I have reason to believe that he is with my wife.
Marcie: Uh -- I just remembered that my mom's supposed to call me at my dorm. I'll see you later, Jen.
Jen: Cristian and Natalie -- why would they be together?
Mitch: That's what I'd like to know.
***********************************************
[Phone rings]
Cristian: If that's Mitch, don't get it.
Natalie: It's Jessica. I better warn her.
Cristian: All right, but don't spill anything, though.
Natalie: Jessica?
Jessica: Natalie. Hey. Listen, we need to talk. What's going on?
Natalie: I am so glad that you called. Listen, you have got to stay away from Llanview, okay?
Jessica: Why? What's going on?
Natalie: I can't -- I can't get into that right now.
Jessica: You're going to give me the same bull that my Mom and Seth gave me? Thank you. Thanks a lot, Natalie. She's keeping something from me, too. What is it? What does Mitch Laurence want from me? You said that my mom didn't tell you anything? You promise?
Rex: That's for sure. She kind of put me in my place when I asked.
Jessica: What about Natalie? Did she say what's going on? Did she say why she married Mitch?
Rex: She thought he was someone else, that Michael Lazarus guy you mentioned. I guess he did a real con job on her. Wait, you know what? Maybe this will help you.
Jessica: What?
Rex: Well, when he looked me up on campus, he gave me his card. Yeah. Here it is.
Jessica: Take a look at this. "Jessica, please call me. We need to talk. Contact me, please."
Rex: What are you going to do?
Jessica: I don't know. I feel like this Mitch Laurence is the only person that wants to talk to me.
Rex: The head case? Forget him.
Jessica: I'll talk to anyone who's going to tell me what's going on, Rex. If I text-message him, there's no way he'll figure out where I am, right? So that way maybe I can get some answers.
Rex: Your mom will freak.
Jessica: Well, my mom should've been upfront with me. Then I wouldn't have to do this.
***********************************************
Cristian: Look, I'm not looking for trouble, but I'm not letting Mitch Laurence come anywhere near you again.
Natalie: What about Jessica, though? I mean, he's got this weird, sick thing about her.
Cristian: Any idea what?
Natalie: No, but it scares the hell out of me.
Cristian: Hmm. Well, I grew up watching my back. I can do it for all of us.
Natalie: I should've never let you bring me here. Cristian, don't you get it? He is going to kill you.
Cristian: No, Natalie, he's not going to kill me. And he's not going to come between us, either.
***********************************************
Jen: There must be some mistake. Cristian can't be with Natalie. He can’t. She's married to you. You said that that would put a different slant on things with me and Cristian.
Mitch: Yeah, well, I underestimated him, but that won't happen again. When you find out where they are, call me.
Jen: Wait. You can't just drop off here and tell me that news and then leave. I've got to know what you're going to do.
Mitch: Well, I can't do anything as long as those two are together. If you want to help me, find them.
Jen: I've -- I've left a lot of messages for Cristian. He has to come home sooner or later.
Mitch: I wouldn't count on that.
Jen: What do you mean, Mr. Lazarus?
Mitch: Actually, it's Laurence. Mitch Laurence -- a name to be reckoned with.
***********************************************
Natalie: How long do we have to stay here?
Cristian: Just until we hear from the commissioner or your mom, and that should be pretty soon.
Natalie: And then?
Cristian: Well, once we get word, we hit the road just like Jessica and Seth did. Stay in touch by secure phone -- put this in there -- and then come back once this Mitch Laurence is behind bars.
Natalie: And how long is that going to take?
Cristian: I don't know, but I'm counting on the commissioner. In the meantime, we got to play it safe. Oh, here.
Natalie: Thank you.
Cristian: We're safe here, really.
Natalie: I just keep thinking about Mitch. He must be going crazy by now, and you know he doesn't like it when he doesn't get his way.
Cristian: Yeah, well, he's got some tough times ahead, then, because the commissioner's not giving up until he makes sure that Mitch Laurence isn't a threat to anyone.
[Noise]
Gabrielle: So, how was the stakeout?
Bo: What stakeout? Stakeout? I mean, there was no stakeout -- officially.
Gabrielle: Right. How did it go, unofficially?
Bo: Oh, "unofficially"? Worked like a charm. We got Cristian and Natalie. They're both in a safe place, out of Llanview. Laurence can't touch them.
Gabrielle: Oh, I'm so relieved for them and I'm very relieved that you're home safe. Perhaps now your schedule could be a little more normal.
Bo: God, that sounds good to me. I miss you.
Gabrielle: I miss you. But I do understand.
Bo: Yeah, I know, I know. You're really good at that. This tree is so great.
Gabrielle: Thank you.
Bo: I would've loved to have been here and helped you decorate it.
Gabrielle: Well, there's always next year.
Bo: Mm-hmm. You know what? I still haven't done any Christmas shopping at all. And I wait until the last minute, and then I'm going to be stuck there, you know, trying to find stuff in stuff that's already been picked over by everybody else, and then --
Gabrielle: I don't think so. I think you have bought your family members some lovely gifts this year.
Bo: I have?
Gabrielle: Mm-hmm. This is Kevin’s, and this is Kelly’s -- very good of you to know her size. And then we have Duke's and Renee’s and Asa’s and Joey’s and -- oh, I particularly liked your choice of colors for Natalie and Jessica’s present.
Bo: Gabrielle --
Gabrielle: I hope that wasn't too presumptuous of me.
Bo: Oh, what, are you kidding me? I hate shopping. I -- ugh. I would rather do a month's worth of paperwork than to set foot in a mall. I --
Gabrielle: I know.
Bo: Thank you.
Gabrielle: No, thank you.
Bo: What for?
Gabrielle: For my wonderful new life. I'm so happy. I can't think of anything that would make it any better.
Bo: I can. Well, I wouldn't mind having a little more time away from the job every now and then --
Gabrielle: Well, that's not going to go on forever.
Bo: No, unlike some things in my life. You know, I just -- it never seems like I have enough time to show you just how special you are.
Gabrielle: Yes, you do. You show me millions of ways every day.
Bo: Yeah, but this time, tonight, I'm going to show you in a big way. Now, it's not wrapped, okay, but I couldn't wait any longer to -- to give it to you.
***********************************************
Todd: So Hedy won't back up this story about you having seen some guy pay some girls to ask some questions about your mother?
Starr: No.
Todd: "No." Is that because you made the whole thing up?
Starr: No. It's because Hedy didn't see the man pay the girls the money. But I did, and I'm not fibbing.
Blair: Look, I believe you, Sweetheart. It's just you have to understand that it's really, really important for you to be really sure that you saw exactly what you saw, okay? And those people that are after me are very bad people. I want you to understand that.
Starr: I know that, Mom. Why do you think I told you? Oh, God.
[Starr gasps]
Todd: All right. You got to -- you got to answer me, all right?
Starr: Okay.
Todd: These girls -- you ever seen them anywhere before?
Starr: No, but I think they go to college.
Todd: Llanview?
Starr: I guess.
Todd: What makes you think that?
Starr: Because they said that they knew Jessica.
Todd: All right, and what about the guy? What did he look like?
Starr: He was really big and scary.
Todd: Yeah, I'm sure he was, but had you ever seen him before? You know, maybe -- maybe somewhere around this building?
Starr: No.
Todd: You sure?
Starr: Yeah. I would remember.
Todd: And these girls -- they didn't ask any other questions about your mother?
Starr: Uh-uh.
Todd: And you didn't let on that your mother was in Llanview to anybody?
Starr: Dad, do you think I'm crazy or something?
Todd: No, I -- I think you're pretty great or something.
Blair: You know what? So do I.
Starr: But I don't want to get you scared and stuff, Mom. But I had to tell you, didn't I?
Blair: Yes, you did, and you did the right thing, Sweetheart. And your daddy -- your daddy and I are very proud of you. Aren't we, Daddy?
Todd: Yeah.
Starr: Mom, I'm scared.
Blair: About me, Sweetheart? Oh, you don't have to be. I'm fine and I'm safe. As long as everybody thinks that I'm out of the country, then I'm safe. And you know what? You're helping. As long as those bad people think that I'm in Switzerland, then nobody's going to hurt me, so you be okay about that.
Starr: But, Dad, why didn't you believe me at first?
Todd: Wasn't about you, Starr. I just don't -- you know, I don't want anything bad to happen to your mother, that's all. You know what? Why don't you go down and get back to bed and I'll come check on you in a few minutes.
Starr: Okay. Good night, Mom.
Blair: Good night, Sweetheart.
Todd: What? What are you looking at me like that for?
Blair: Well, I got my answer. You do care about me.
***********************************************
Bo: Hope you like it. Open it up. Open it.
Gabrielle: "The Nutcracker." Oh, Bo --
Bo: Look where the seats are. Look.
Gabrielle: "The first ring."
Bo: The first ring.
Gabrielle: Oh! I'm sorry.
Bo: What's so funny?
Gabrielle: No, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Oh -- oh, this is so sweet of you, especially when I know that, well, ballet is not really your thing.
Bo: Well, you know, I don't know a plie from any of that other stuff they --
Gabrielle: Tendue, grand jete --
Bo: Yeah, yeah, any of that stuff. But I know you've been talking about this, you really wanted to see it, and we're going.
Gabrielle: Thank you.
Bo: Of course, that means now you're going to have to go to the boxing matches with me.
Gabrielle: I have to do what?
Bo: Yeah. Come on, I'm kidding. Come here.
Gabrielle: Oh.
Bo: Did I make you happy?
Gabrielle: Tremendously. I -- I couldn't think of a better surprise.
***********************************************
Cristian: Stay back. If it looks bad, just go out the window.
Cristian: False alarm.
Natalie: Hmm. That was scary.
Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, that shook me up a little bit, too.
Natalie: Really? You seemed so cool.
Cristian: Well, feel this.
Natalie: Your heart's beating a mile a minute.
Cristian: That's right. Of course, there could be all kinds of reasons for that. Nothing's going to happen, Natalie.
***********************************************
Jen: I don't know why I even put up this stupid tree, Marcie. You heard the man -- Cristian’s with Natalie. And who do you think he'll be with on Christmas?
***********************************************
Rex: Whoa.
Jessica: What?
Rex: You actually did it, huh? You sent that message to Mitch?
Jessica: No. Actually, I canceled it.
Rex: Cold feet?
Jessica: Guilty conscience. You know, I am -- I'm angry at my mom for not telling me what's going on. But at the same point, going to Mitch without talking to her first? I can't do that. You going to be around tonight?
Rex: Yeah. I've been upstairs working on a term paper.
Jessica: Okay, if my mom comes, can you just tell her that I'm looking for her?
Rex: Right.
Jessica: Cool.
Rex: Jessica?
Jessica: Yeah?
Rex: Look, I'm not going to tell you how to handle any of this. It's your life. But if you have anything to do with Mitch Laurence, be careful, okay?
Jessica: Where did that come from?
Rex: I was just remembering when I saw him at the library. I have a real bad feeling about him.
Jessica: Like what?
Rex: Like if you could see where his heart is, there wouldn't be anything to see. I think he's really dangerous, Jess.
Jessica: Yeah. I know. Thanks for worrying about me.
