Asa: If I'm going to romance Roxy into dumping you, we, like, need to be together in the same room.

Seth: If I let you go home before your mom's ready, it's going to be bad, Jess.

Jessica: What do you mean, bad?

Viki: I am willing to allow you to get to know Jessica.

Cristian: That's why your mom came -- to distract Mitch.

Natalie: Everyone's trying to get me out of here?

Mitch: Call Jessica.

***********************************************

[Noise]

Mitch: What was that?

***********************************************

Cristian: What the hell did you do that for?

Natalie: Go, go!

Bo: What was that, Cristian?

***********************************************

Mitch: Natalie?

Bo: Stop him, Viki.

Viki: What are you doing? I thought you -- I thought you wanted to get --

Mitch: There's something going on up there, and I'm going to find out what it is. Natalie! You all right?

***********************************************

Roxy: You're nuts about me?

Asa: You got it.

Roxy: Why?

Asa: Why? Who wouldn't I be? You're smart, you're classy, and not to mention, you're very nice on the eyes.

Roxy: I am? I mean, yeah, yeah, sure I am, but --

Asa: Uh-huh.

Roxy: Me? I --

Asa: No, Roxy, I am crazy about you. You could -- you could make me the happiest man in the world if you would just say that you feel the same way about me.

***********************************************

Renee: So, if you really want to help me, if you really want to be my friend -- do you really?

Rae: Yes. Yes, Renee, I really do. It would it would mean so much to me.

Renee: Then you'll ask Asa for a divorce.

Rae: A divorce?

Renee: Yes, a divorce.

Rae: I just didn't --

Renee: You know, Rae, I love Asa. I need him.

Rae: Yes, I know --

Renee: He's the only thing that matters to me. Without him, I'm nothing. Without him, what is there but blissful oblivion?

Rae: Renee, I love you. I would do anything for you. Anything but that.

***********************************************

Marcie: So, what's the plan again? We're supposed to find Jessica?

Jen: Haven't you heard anything I've said?

Marcie: But I don't understand. How will finding Jessica help keep Natalie and Cristian apart?

Jen: Okay, for the last time, Natalie’s husband, this Michael Lazarus guy --

Marcie: I still can't believe she got married. I thought she was so in love with Cristian. But I'm glad that she did get married because Cristian should totally be with you.

Jen: Anyway, this Michael Lazarus guy is looking for Jessica.

Marcie: Why?

Jen: I don't know, okay? I don't know. I have no idea. Sorry.

Marcie: It's okay.

Jen: But if I find Jessica for him, then maybe he'll help me with Cristian and Natalie.

Marcie: You think he would? That would be so great.

Jen: I know. I have a feeling Michael and I are going to help each other get what we want.

***********************************************

Viki: Mitch, we are not through here! I thought you --

Mitch: Natalie, what's going on up there? What's that noise?

Viki: You wanted to get to know Jessica.

***********************************************

Bo: Cristian, get Natalie out of there.

Cristian: Come on. We're Ieaving.

Natalie: You go.

Cristian: What?

Natalie: I'm staying.

Cristian: No, I'm not leaving without you.

***********************************************

Mitch: Natalie?

***********************************************

Roxy: You know, I didn't know that you were thinking these things. I mean, I thought that we were just friends.

Asa: Wait a minute. Just friends? Do you think that I would open my casino for a friend? Do you think I'd let Bo toss me behind bars for a damn friend?

Roxy: Well, he tossed me in there, too, you know.

Asa: Yeah, and I'll tell you, it broke my heart, Darling.

Roxy: So you're saying that you did all of this because you want me?

Asa: I'm on fire for you, Roxy. I never wanted another woman this much.

Roxy: I don't know what to say.

Asa: Well, just say that you feel the same way. Like I said before, you would make me the happiest man in the world.

***********************************************

Rae: Renee, I'm sorry. I really do want to help you. I can spend time with you. I can help you get into counseling.

Renee: But you won't give Asa a divorce?

Rae: I can’t.

Ra: Why not?

Max: Yeah, why not?

Rae: Because as much as I hate to admit this, when I became Mrs. Asa Buchanan, it turned my life around.

Renee: But you don't even like him.

Rae: No, no, I mean -- okay, you're right, I don't like him. But you know what? That's not the point.

Max: What is?

Rae: Before I became Mrs. Buchanan, my life -- I hit bottom. You know that, Renee. I lost everything -- my therapist license, my friends, my money. And now I have all of that back.

Max: You do? Your license?

Rae: Well, no, of course not. Not my license.

Renee: But your friends?

Rae: Well, no, okay, not my friends, either, but -- but not yet. And I do have the money.

Renee: That's all you really care about?

Rae: No, no, that's not the only thing. I have -- I have social status. I know this sounds selfish, but my name now opens doors again. I don't have them slamming in my face like they did.

Renee: Oh, you two really have a match made in heaven.

Rae: Look, I know that it doesn't sound like it's some marriage based on anything --

Max: That's putting it mildly.

Rae: But it's enough for me. Rae Buchanan is now a force. The Buchanan name has power. I can't give that up. I'm sorry, I -- I can’t.

Renee: Are you just going to stand there and do nothing? You're not going to help me here?

Max: Well, actually, Renee, I -- I think Rae has a point.

Renee: What?

Max: In fact, think she's absolutely right.

***********************************************

Lois: May I help you?

Marcie: Is Jessica home?

Lois: No, she's not.

Marcie: Oh, okay.

Jen: Can you tell me where she is?

Lois: I don't know.

Jen: Can you ask somebody? It's just really important for us to find her because we need to give her these notes for the English Lit final. Show her the notes.

Marcie: Right. These.

Lois: Oh, well, I'll be happy to give them to her for you.

Jen: No. No, no, no. Thank you, but I think that we need to give these to her ourselves in case she has some questions or something.

Lois: I'm sorry, but that won't be possible. Jessica is out of town.

Jen: Where did she go?

Lois: I told you, I don't know, so if you'd like to leave the notes, I'd be happy to --

Jen: Can you give me her phone number?

Lois: Why?

Jen: So I can fax her the notes.

Lois: I'm sorry. I can't give her number out, but I will tell Jessica that you stopped by.

Jen: Well, can you ask Mrs. Davidson where she is? I'm sure she knows.

Lois: Mrs. Davidson is out.

Jen: If Jessica doesn't get these notes, she's going to fail the final; she's going to flunk school.

Lois: I am really sorry, but I cannot help you.

Jen: Please, you can give me her number. I'm her best friend.

Al: That's a lie.

***********************************************

Mitch: Natalie, what's going on?

Natalie: Yeah, everything's fine, Mitch! I just knocked over a lamp! It was an accident!

Mitch: Are you sure?

Natalie: Yeah! Everything's fine!

***********************************************

Viki: You see? She's fine, okay? Everything is fine.

***********************************************

Bo: Okay, Cristian, get her out of there now.

Cristian: Natalie, let's go. We'll fight about this later. You have to come with me now.

Natalie: Okay.

Bo: All right, Cristian got her out of there, Viki. Now you have to get out of there, too.

Viki: Well, it's clear that you and I have nothing left to say to each other, so I might just as well leave.

Mitch: Just one moment.

Viki: What?

Mitch: A minute ago, you wanted to settle things. Now you want to leave?

Viki: Yes. It's obvious that we're not going to come to any kind of an agreement. You won't give up Natalie. I most certainly am not going to call Jessica.

Mitch: You're right; we do seem to be at an impasse.

Viki: Right, so there's no reason for me to stay. I am certainly not going to waste anymore of my time.

Mitch: You're not going anywhere until you call Jessica. Or better yet, why don't you just tell me where she is.

***********************************************

[Music plays]

[Jessica turns off radio]

Jessica: It's the exact same thing you were trying to do when you thought that Rex was scamming me. You were trying to protect me.

Seth: I just thought that --

Jessica: I'm sick of this, Seth. You don't have to protect me. I'm an adult. I can handle the truth.

Seth: I know that.

Jessica: So why don't you treat me like one instead of some hopeless little incompetent who needs to be taken care of 24 hours a day?

Seth: Jess, I know that you can handle anything. I know you're strong, okay? But there's something going on that you just can't know about, something really bad, and you just can't know till the right time.

Jessica: What?

Seth: I mean --

Jessica: You know something?

Seth: No, Jess.

Jessica: You know something, and you're not telling me.

Seth: Your mom knows something really bad is going to happen. Okay? That's why she wanted me to take you away.

Jessica: Well, now I'm coming home.

***********************************************

Rae: You think I'm right?

Renee: You think she's right?

Max: Face it, Renee. Rae's just looking out for number one here. You know? If she can't take of herself first, what good is she to anyone else?

Rae: Well, you know, that is the sort of thing that I've always told patients.

Max: And you were right. Of course, that was back when you were the old Rae.

Rae: "Old Rae?"

Max: The person you were before you lost everything.

Rae: Oh.

Max: I mean, it changes you. I ought to know. I've lost everything -- well, so many times, I can't even count.

Renee: Oh, I can certainly vouch for that. I mean, all the times I had to bail you out.

Max: And I was always very -- well, I always had a lot of gratitude.

Renee: You think you know pathetic? You don't know pathetic. Max was pathetic.

Max: Thank you, Renee. Thank you.

Renee: You're welcome.

Max: Yeah. See, the point is I know what it's like to hit bottom.

Rae: And you -- you learned from that, didn't you?

Max: You bet I did.

Rae: Right.

Max: I learned what not to do. You don't let anyone walk all over you.

Rae: Right.

Max: Mm-hmm.

Rae: Because that's certainly not healthy for you.

Max: No, not at all. I mean, old Rae -- she probably would have just divorced Asa.

Rae: Oh, I --

Max: I mean, the old Rae -- she probably would have done anything she could to help out her dear friend Renee before she slides into that bottomless pit of alcoholism and prostitution and electroshock.

Rae: No, no, but I --

Max: But the new Rae --

Rae: I said I wanted to help her.

Max: That was the old Rae. This is the new Rae. See, the new Rae knows that there's only one person you can count on in this world, and that's yourself.

Rae: No, no, I never said that.

Max: You didn't have to. Like I said, I know exactly what you've gone through.

Rae: No. You know what? Whatever you went through, you -- you cannot compare it to my experience because I'm nothing like you and you know it.

Max: Well, it's close enough. No, see, and that's what made me the new Max. Same reason you became the new Rae. Let met tell you, the new Rae is exactly like me.

Rae: No. No, no, no --

Max: So you and me -- we are cut from the same cloth. We both learned the hard way that when an opportunity comes along, you got to grab on to it, don't let go, you know?

Rae: No, that's not true.

Max: Friends just drag you down.

Rae: That is --

Max: So why waste your time on people that can't help you get what you want? I mean, just lose them, forget it, count them out.

Rae: No, I --

Max: What you do is you step right over them and just keep on going.

Rae: What? No, I never feel that way.

Max: You keep on till you find someone that can really help you, and then you milk them for all it's worth. Now, that is the only way to get what you want.

Rae: No.

Max: You know --

Rae: No, no, no, no, no. I --

Max: You know, I'm glad we had this talk because I -- I'm so sorry that it turned out you weren't really my mother because I feel like your son. I really do.

Rae: Stop this. Stop this right now. Would you shut up?

***********************************************

Mitch: Where is she? Where's Jessica?

Viki I'm not going to tell you where Jessica is, so you might just as well get out of my way.

Mitch: I want to know now.

Viki: I don't much care what you want.

Mitch: Careful, Victoria.

Viki: I am not telling you where she is.

Mitch: You said you would tell her I'm her father.

Viki: Well, yes, but -- but you weren't going to allow that. You said that you wanted to tell her yourself.

Mitch: No, I simply said I wanted to be there when you told her.

Viki: Well, that -- that is most definitely not going to happen.

Mitch: I am her father. I am tired of waiting. If you do not tell me where she is --

Viki: What? What are you going to do? What could you possibly do to me that is worse than what you have already done?

[Pounding on door]

Mitch: Well, well, well. If it isn't the cavalry riding to the rescue. Tell me, Commissioner, exactly how did you know there was rescuing to be done?

***********************************************

Jen: Stay out of this. It's none of your business.

Al: I think it is. What's going on here, Lois?

Lois: These young women are looking for Jessica. I've been trying to explain to them that Jessica is out of town and cannot be reached. But Ms. Rappaport kept insisting that --

Al: Don't worry about Ms. Rappaport. I'll handle her. You just go back to whatever it was you were doing, okay?

Lois: Thank you.

Jen: What is wrong with you?

Al: You're asking me that? You're the one who's going around lying to people.

Jen: I wasn't lying. Why are you always sticking your nose where it doesn't belong?

Al: I was here looking for Jessica. I didn't expect to run into you and your little sidekick.

Marcie: Hey, I'm Jen’s best friend.

Al: What are you guys doing here?

Jen: We're not doing anything.

Al: Why are you looking for Jessica?

Jen: What do you care? I'm just here to see her, okay?

Al: Yeah, because she's your best friend, right? Oh Marcie, I hope your feelings aren't hurt. I mean, Jen having two best friends and all.

Marcie: It's fine.

Al: You know, I find it kind of funny that Jessica didn't tell you where she was going. I mean, isn't that the kind of thing that you tell your best friend?

Jen: Just stay out of it.

Al: Why? Is it private? Wait, I think I might have an idea. Yeah. This has something to do with Cristian and Natalie?

Jen: Leave us alone! Get lost!

Al: Yeah, I think I know what's going on here. You're trying to keep Cristian away from Natalie, right?

Jen: Good-bye.

Al: That's it! You want to keep Cristian away from Natalie.

Jen: I don't need to keep them apart. Natalie's married.

Al: Married? To who?

***********************************************

Mitch: So, tell me, how did you know you were needed? Did a little bird whisper in your ear?

Bo: No. No, actually, I came by here to speak to you. I had no idea that Viki was going to be here.

Mitch: Really?

Bo: Why? What's going -- is there a problem here, Viki?

Viki: No. No, there's no problem. Everything's fine. We were just talking.

Mitch: That's right. We were just talking. So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit from the commissioner of the police?

Bo: You and I need to have a conversation.

Mitch: About what?

Bo: Murder.

***********************************************

Cristian: Wow. I haven't been in your mom's cabin in a long time. Anyway, you'll be safe here.

Natalie: I was safe, Cristian. I was safe exactly where I was with Michael.

Cristian: Natalie, it's okay. You can drop the act.

Natalie: Why do you think that this is an act? I want to be with my husband, Michael. You need to take me back to him right now.

Cristian: You know, when I said that we could fight about this later, I was only kidding.

Natalie: This isn't a joke.

Cristian: I know that.

Natalie: Cristian, take me back.

Cristian: I can't do that.

Natalie: Okay, fine. I'll go by myself.

Cristian: Hey, Natalie.

Natalie: Please, Cristian. I want to go back with Michael.

Cristian: Oh, god, would you stop calling him Michael? His name is Mitch -- Mitch Laurence.

Natalie: Okay, fine, Mitch. I'm going back to him.

Cristian: No, you're not.

Natalie: Please --

Cristian: No.

Natalie: Let me go.

Cristian: No. You're not going back to Mitch Laurence, not now, not ever. I'm not letting you.

***********************************************

Rae: I am nothing like you -- nothing. I'm a good person. I do care about my friends.

Max: Well, but I thought you just --

Rae: Renee, listen to me. You have to believe me. I do care about you. And if you want me to divorce Asa, if that will help you not to have this breakdown, then you know what? That's exactly what I'm going to do. I will divorce Asa.

***********************************************

Roxy: Hey, look, Asa, I know you're a lot of fun, but I got a big handsome guy, you know, and his name is Max.

Asa: Have you ever spent any real time with that clown?

Roxy: Well, not exactly, but I'm really trying. All right. You know, at first, I admit it, you know, it was the money thing, but -- I don't know -- I woke up one morning and I was crazy about him. And, you know, sometimes these things you can't explain at all. It's like food poisoning.

Asa: Botulism.

Roxy: Yeah. That, too. Whatever. The only thing I know is I'm in love with Max Holden.

Asa: Well, he doesn't love you and never will. So you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who can't stand the sight of you?

***********************************************

Jen: I need to talk to Al alone.

Marcie: Sure thing.

Jen: I can't believe you didn't hear Natalie got married. But I guess that makes sense. I mean, it's not like you would have any friends or anyone who would tell you about it.

Al: Skip the commentary. Who did she marry?

Jen: Some guy named Michael Lazarus, way older than her.

Al: Who's he? I never heard of him.

Jen: I don't know much about him, but I don't really need to. I'm not the one that married him. So I guess she's over Cristian.

Al: I wouldn't be too sure of that.

Jen: I am sure.

Al: Well, you're a little touchy for somebody who is so sure.

Jen: Shut up!

Al: Ooh, that's a good one. Real stinger there.

Jen: Why can't you ever be nice to me?

Al: Well -- I can't believe you just said that to me.

Jen: Why can't you just go ask that stupid maid where Jessica is, please?

Al: Why would I do that?

Jen: Maybe because you made me lose my baby.

Al: Listen, I am sorry that we lost our baby, and I will feel bad about that for the rest of my life. But I am through letting you use that to guilt me into doing whatever you want me to.

Jen: What is your problem? Why are you being this way?

Al: I finally woke up.

Jen: What is that supposed to mean?

Al: You're not the person that I thought you were.

Jen: And what kind of person are you? The kind of person that burns people's houses down?

Al: Oh, yeah, go ahead, threaten me. You know what? Turn me in if you want. I guess I can't stop you.

Jen: No, really?

Al: But that fire is the only thing you have to hold over me. And it's the only thing you'll ever have to hold over my head.

Jen: Is that supposed toto matter to me?

Al: Don't know. Don't care. I don't love you anymore. You see, I realize that I deserve somebody much better than you. Actually, I hope that this is the last time that you and I ever see each other again. Good-bye, Jen.

Marcie: What happened with Al?

Jen: Who cares? I'm done wasting my time with that creep. I've got bigger fish to fry.

***********************************************

Natalie: Cristian, it is not up to you. If I want to go back to Mitch, then -- you know what? -- That's my business.

Cristian: It's my business, too. You made it my business when you told me you were getting a divorce.

Natalie: Yeah, and you said you were breaking it off with Jen.

Cristian: And I'm going to.

Natalie: And you changed your mind. So did I.

Cristian: No, Natalie, I didn't change my mind. It's over with Jen. I could never be with her. I love you, and you love --

Natalie: Mitch! Okay? I love Mitch!

Cristian: You love the man that stole you when you were a baby?

Natalie: That was a long time ago.

Cristian: He's the one that stuck you with Roxy.

Natalie: I know.

Cristian: Natalie, he's the reason you never had enough food to eat or a nice place to live or new clothes.

Natalie: Look, he didn't know that any of that was going to happen.

Cristian: He's the reason you used to cry yourself to sleep at night.

Natalie: It wasn't his fault.

Cristian: Look; we both know why you're with Mitch -- to protect people.

Natalie: No, that's not true.

Cristian: Yes, it is. You're doing it to protect Jessica and your mom and me because you love them and because you love me.

Natalie: No, I don’t.

Cristian: All right. Then why did you lie to Mitch after you knocked over the lamp? Why did you let me bring you here?

***********************************************

Viki's voice: Mitch Laurence came back to Llanview for only one reason -- to do what he does best.

Jessica's voice: What?

Viki's voice: Cause trouble.

Jessica: For who?

Viki: For anyone who he ever hated or who ever hated him.

Jessica: Well, then that includes us. Who else has Mitch Laurence hurt worse than our family? I mean, he's the one that had me kidnapped when I was born. He's the reason that Natalie and I were switched as babies. He's the reason Natalie grew up with that awful woman Roxanne.

Viki: I know. And believe me, I've thought of little else since I found out that he was alive.

Jessica: Mom, why didn't you tell me that it was him when he was here?

Viki: Because I was -- I was hoping that you would never, ever have to deal with such an evil man.

Jessica: Oh, my God. When are you going to stop trying to save me from the world, Mom?

Viki: The day that I stop being your mother.

Jessica: I'm not a little kid anymore.

[Horn blows]

Jessica: I don't need protection. I need the truth.

[Jessica turns on radio]

***********************************************

Mitch: Murder? Who died?

Bo: Dr. Walter Balsom, his two nurses, Maureen Johnson, Harriet Wells.

Mitch: Is this supposed to have some significance to me?

Bo: Oh, come on, Mitch. You got to remember them. They were right there in the delivery room when you stole Viki's baby right out of her arms.

Mitch: No, I'm afraid that's Viki's word against mine.

Viki: It's the truth.

Mitch: Hmm, not exactly, my dear. As I remember it, you were oh, so willing to give that little girl to me.

Viki: Will you please stop it?

Bo: Listen, you remember it any way you remember it. The fact is that those three people died very mysterious deaths.

Mitch: Mysterious? Hmm. How so?

Bo: Well, the two nurses -- they died a short time after Viki gave birth.

Mitch: Your point being?

Bo: I believe they were murdered.

Mitch: Again, I have to ask, why is this of my concern?

Bo: I'm investigating their deaths.

Mitch: Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but you were not the commissioner at that time.

Bo: But I am now.

Mitch: They didn't even die in your jurisdiction.

Bo: How do you know where they died?

***********************************************

Asa: I am no expert on the affairs of the heart, but if you love somebody who can't stand you, that can't be, like, too swell.

Roxy: He's going to come around. I know he will.

Asa: Yeah, well, what if he doesn't? Is it worth living in this dump for the rest of your life with someone who doesn't even want you?

Roxy: Hey, excuse me. This place isn't so bad.

Asa: Well, that's fine for that polecat Holden. I wouldn't stable my horses here.

Roxy: That's right, I forgot -- you got horses

Asa: Yeah, I got horses. Wouldn't you rather be with a guy who has horses, diamonds, and furs than some clown like holden who struggles to make ends meet?

Roxy: Well, he doesn't struggle. You know, he owns a bar.

Asa: Are you kidding me, Honey? The bank owns the bar.

Roxy: The bank?

Asa: Yes. Look, Roxy, who would you rather be with, a guy who worships the ground you walk on or a guy like Max who treats you like dirt? Now, you're a gambler. Which horse would you back?

***********************************************

Jessica: Mom? I'm home.

***********************************************

Bo: I don't remember mentioning to you where those three people died. How do you know that they died outside my jurisdiction?

Mitch: I read about it in the newspaper.

Bo: Then you must read a lot of newspapers because they died in three different states.

Mitch: Well, you have a lot of spare time when you're dead. You should try it sometime.

Bo: Well, you better have a lot of spare time because I've got a lot of questions for you.

Mitch: Well, I'd be thrilled to speak to you and answer any questions you may have about poor Walter and poor whoever, but this isn't a convenient time for me.

Bo: No?

Mitch: No. You see, I just got married, and I would very much like to go upstairs and spend some intimate time with my wife. So, why don't you call me up, make an appointment, and we'll talk.

Bo: Oh, I'll be in touch -- soon.

Mitch: Viki, I'm so sorry. We weren't finished.

Bo: Well, you are now.

***********************************************

Mitch: Natalie?

Mitch: Natalie, get down here!

***********************************************

Natalie: I let you bring me here because I didn't want to upset Mitch and didn't want you getting arrested for trespassing.

Cristian: Natalie, I know that's not why.

Natalie: Yes, it is.

Cristian: No, it's not. Look, I saw the way you looked at me. And you wanted me to help you. You still do. So why not just let me?

Natalie: No. No, I -- I came up here with you because I need to settle some things with you.

Cristian: Settle some things?

Natalie: Cristian, it's over, okay? We're done. I'm going back to Mitch, and that's final, okay?

Cristian: Natalie, come on.

Natalie: I'm going to call him right now. I'm going to tell him I'm coming back.

Cristian: No, you're not.

***********************************************

Renee: So, you will give Asa a divorce?

Rae: Well, I mean, I can't just stand by and watch you have this breakdown, can I?

Max: That's a very selfless thing to do. If only I could be more like you.

Rae: I will have the papers drawn up as soon as possible.

Renee: Oh, I just don't know how I can thank you. Thank you.

Rae: You know what, Renee?

Renee: Thank you, thank you!

Rae: I should be the one thanking you.

Renee: Why?

Max: Yeah. Why?

Rae: Because I have been living a lie all for the sake of money. And, of course, in the process, I've lost some friends and my feelings of self-worth.

Max: Well, you know, you got to be able to wake up every morning and face yourself in the mirror.

Rae: Absolutely.

Renee: I'm glad, Rae.

Rae: You know, you've helped me realize something. Your friendship is more important than a marriage of mere convenience. I mean, after all, I only married Asa for his name.

Max: And his money.

Rae: All right, and his money. But, you know, I mean, why -- why am I torturing myself being married to that man and putting you through such pain when really I could have both?

Max: Whoa, wait a minute.

Renee: How much do you plan to soak him for?

Rae: Well, you know, I hadn't really thought about that until now. I think probably a 90/10 split would be fair, don't you?

Max: I think that would be incredibly fair. I mean, 10% of Asa's billions is still a fortune. I mean, you certainly deserve it, having been married to him.

Rae: No, no, no. The 10% is for Asa. The 90% is for me.

Roxy: Billions. He's got billions. Oh, boy, do I ever need you. The bank owns the bar? How come he never told me that the bank owns the bar? What does a bank want with a bar, anyway? Hey! Hey, you gorgeous lug. Hey, Honey. How come you had to be so handsome, huh? And how come Asa had to have a billion bucks? Hey, you know, I got hot pajamas for you. But you're not even interested in me, not even a little, not even at all. But Asa -- ooh, Asa is hot for me. And why shouldn't he be? Because I am foxy Roxy, after all. Oh. Jingle bells. I'm so confused. Oh, I need an answer. Hey! Hey, Luna. Hey, Luna, you can give me an answer because you know everything about Max's soul, and his body, too. So am I ever going to make Max love me, or should I just jump over to daddy big bucks? Come on. Come on, Luna, you got to tell me. You got to give me a sign, okay?

Viki: Oh, thank God that's over.

Bo: I'll second that.

Viki: They're really both out, right?

Bo: Yeah, they're probably at your cabin by now.

Viki: What took so long? Was Natalie being stubborn?

Bo: Very, but finally Cristian was able to get her out.

Viki: Oh, Bo, thank you so much for doing this tonight.

Bo: I wanted her out of there, too.

Viki: I know. And my first priority now is to make sure that Natalie gets away and is safe the way Jessie is.

Bo: I'm going to go to work, start digging up evidence on Laurence. I want to put him away for good.

Viki: Oh, he was so awful tonight.

Bo: I know. I heard him. Demands to see Jessica. Viki, he's not going to quit.

Viki: Oh, I know that. But, thankfully, Jessica is far away and safe, so there is no danger that she's nver going to find out that he's her father.

Mitch: Natalie?

***********************************************

Jessica: Hello? Is anyone home?

Rex: Jess. You're back.

Jessica: Yeah. What's going on? Why did Seth take me away?

Rex: Hey, if you don't know, I don't know. I'm the last person to find out anything. Where is Seth, anyway?

Jessica: Probably still locked in a bathroom.

Rex: You did that to him?

Jessica: That was the only way I could get away from him.

Rex: Way to go, Jess.

Jessica: He knows what's going on, but he wouldn't tell me, not even after I begged him.

Rex: I hate to say this, but it's not the first time he's kept you in the dark, Jess.

Jessica: Yeah, he's saying that it's for my own good.

Rex: That's your call, not his. It's great you're finally standing up to him.

Jessica: He is not the real problem. It's my mom. Why did she have Seth take me away in the first place?

Rex: Don't ask me. What do I know about how moms think? My mom's Roxanne Balsom.

Jessica: Yeah, but what's she trying to protect me from? Natalie's the one here that married Mitch Laurence. She's the one that needs to be protected.

***********************************************

Mitch: You made a big mistake, Natalie.

[Phone rings]

Bo: Laurence, what a surprise. I thought I had to make an appointment to speak with you.

Mitch: You tricked me.

***********************************************

Cristian: You can run all you want, Natalie, but you can't hide from me. I'll find you. I'll always find you.

Natalie: Cristian --

Cristian: Even if you tell me that you don't want me, even if you marry somebody else, because no matter what you say or do, every time I look into your eyes, I see the truth.

Natalie: What truth?

Cristian: You, the real you, the Natalie I fell in love with, the Natalie that loves me back. That's what I see, and that's what I'll always see because nothing can change that. Nothing can change the way we feel about each other. I love you, and you love me.

On the next "One Life to Live" --

Jessica: If I text message him, there is no way he'll figure out where I am, right?

Mitch: I have reason to believe that he is with my wife.

Cristian: I love you, Natalie. Now tell me you don't love me.

Starr: There's someone asking questions about you.
