Liz: Keri can't find out what went on with antonio and me, hank. I'd lose her.

Blair: I need to see my mom! She needs me, todd.

Cristian: We want to help you. Tell us what's going on.

Mitch: Why not say it to me, as well?

Natalie: Michael.

Mitch: Are you all right, my dear?

Bo: What are you doing here, laurence?

Mitch: Isn't it obvious? I can't stay away from my bride.

Natalie: Michael, I --

mitch: I've been looking for you, darling. Why are you here at the police station? I certainly hope there's not a problem.

Todd: Look, you want to go see your mother at st. Ann's, here's your ticket.

Blair: It's stupid.

Todd: No, it's not -- see, that's the thing, all right? I want to keep you from doing something stupid, but you want to go see addie. Now, this way we both get what we want.

Blair: What, you want me to dress up like a nun and go to st. Ann's?

Todd: Ok, here's the thing, all right? I'm not so sure that thiguguy from the o'brien gang hasn't already figured out that you're not really at the cuckoo clock factory in switzerland, and he may already -- what? Why do you keeping looking at me like that? This will work. I've done this before.

Blair: I know that you've done it before. You dressed up like a nun when i was in st. Ann'S.

Todd: That's right.

Blair: That's right, and you got caught! If I get caught, I'm dead. Is that what you want, todd?

Antonio: Yeah, tell the commissioner it's official -- mitch laurence was here visiting allison perkins. He signed in as michael lazarus, but it was definitely mitch laurence. Oh, and tell him we can't talk to allison perkins until we get clearance from her doctor. Great. Thanks. Hank.

Hank: Antonio.

Antonio: Got a minute?

Hank: Actually, antonio, you know, I'm running a little late here. I'm supposed to interview a patient who's to testify for me tomorrow, so if you'll excuse me --

antonio: This will only take a minute. I just need a straight answer. Why are you mad at me?

["O tannenbaum" plays]

Keri: You are so spectacular. Just wait till antonio sees you.

Keri: I think that's the only decoration mom and I need.

Liz: I see you've done well for yourself.

R.J.: Yeah. Been open about a year. So far everything's going well.

Liz: I'm glad.

R.J.: Thanks.

Liz: You named it capricorn, huh? Keri's birth sign. That's sweet. I know she's really proud of you. So, things turned out almost perfectly for you, didn't they? You got your own successful club, you've got it named after your little girl, you've got --

R.J.: Ok, ok, enough. What's with this "my own little girl" stuff? And "sweet"? You didn't want me to know she existed.

Liz: Excuse me. I thought we came here tonight to try and find a way to get along for keri's sake.

R.J.: Well, that ain't going to happen if you keep belittling what I'm trying to do.

Liz: I'm not. Can we just forget the past for one night?

R.J.: Apparently not.

Liz: Well, then, apparently, there's no point in my staying, is there?

R.J.: Look, stop right there, elizabeth.

Cristian: You don't have to answer that. Now, look, natalie doesn't want you anywhere near her, so why don't you get out.

Viki: Sweetheart, natalie, it's ok. You don't have to be aaid.

Bo: You should take cristian's advice, laurence. Save me the trouble of throwing you out of here.

Mitch: Oh, isn't the police station open to all citizens?

Bo: Not if you're here harassing my niece.

Mitch: No, I came here to be with my wife. I'm sure whatever she has to say she can say in front of me. Can't you, natalie?

Natalie: Yes, I -- I can.

natalie: What I have to say is about this man and what he said to me.

Mitch: Natalie, whatever passes between a husband and a wife is privileged. Telling others could lead to terrible misunderstandings.

Viki: Sweetheart, you're safe here. Go ahead, go ahead.

Cristian: Natalie, he's threatening you, isn't he? When you kissed him, that was just to get me to back off because you were afraid, right?

Mitch: Cristian, I think we're all aware that you covet my wife.

Cristian: Natalie, come on. I know you, and there's something really wrong here. What did he say? How is he threatening you?

Natalie: He said --

mitch: Natalie, I made a vow to you.

Bo: Well, you forget your vows. We want to hear what natalie has to say.

Mitch: I never break a vow. I know you'll remember that.

Viki: Ignore him. He can't hurt you. Now, please tell us.

Mitch: If you lveve me for cristian, I will kill him.

Natalie: I -- I made a terrible mistake about michael.

Todd: No, I don't want you to be dead, blair. Come on, look, who's been -- who's been protecting you since this whole thing started, huh? Me. I found you a nice place for you to hide, a safe place --

blair: Yeah, you and sam have done a very good --

todd: Sam? Sam has done nothing! Sam is so stupid, he -- never mind. Sam thinks that it's ok for -- just waltzing in here without any regard to whether or not there might be a mobster following him.

Blair: No! Sam has -- he's been very safe, and he would never put me in danger. But you -- you want me to traipse all over town in a nun's habit.

Todd: There's no traipsing. We have a car.

Blair: Oh, todd.

Todd: Look, you are driving me crazy with all your talk about how you want to go see addie, all right? I find a safe way for you to go see her, that's all.

Blair: Yes, you did, and thank you.

Todd: Well, it's not like I was doing it to be nice to you, all right? I just wanted you to shut up. All this whining about -- do me a a favor, ok? You don't want to go? That's fine with me, but you got to stop whining about how, you know, you got to see your mama, how she's all sick --

blair: She is sick, and she needs me, todd! She could be dying, for all I know!

Todd: Yeah, well, who knows? I don't know. It's your call.

Blair: I -- I don't know, you know? What if -- what if she sees me and then tells somebody that she saw me, and then somebody finds out that I'm hiding here, and the kids are here, and you're -- it's -- it's too dangerous.

Todd: I uldn't worry about it. It's addie we're talking about, right? I mean, she doesn't just believe in santa claus, she thinks she's married to him.

Blair: Don't make fun of my mother.

Todd: Ok, I won'T. I'm being real. I mean, look, who cares what addie says, right? Nobody's going to believe her anyway. She's a nut job, just like you're a nut job.

Blair: Well, I would be very careful who you call a nut job, sister manning.

Todd: I don't know. Look, I thought through this whole thing. Are you going to trust me or not?

Hank: Look, I have a very tough case that I'm dealing with right now. In fact, it's gotten even tougher. My chief witness just checked himself in here at st. Ann's, suffering from paranoid delusions.

Antonio: Well, that's rough. But my question's about --

hank: So my point is, antonio, if I've snapped at you lately, I'm sorry. Just cut me some slack, ok?

Antonio: No. No, wait a minute.

Hank: Listen --

antonio: Hank, you and I used to be friends.

Hank: Look, like I said --

antonio: Look, hank, you've backed me ever since I came into the department. And you didn't just snap at me, hank. I mean, you -- you've been looking at me, giving me these looks, saying these things about keri and me. It's like you just don't want me to be part of your family.

Hank: Keri is my niece, antonio. I want to make sure that she's treated right.

Antonio: Yeah, well, you used to think I was the right guy for that job, hank. Has that changed? Come on, hank. You never doubted me before. You got to know I love her. You got to know that I would do anything to make keri happy.

Hank: How are you going to do that, antonio? You slept with her mother.

Carlotta: Fresh from the oven.

Keri: Oh, my goodness!

Carlotta: You can never have too many cookies at christmastime.

Keri: Oh, thank you so much.

Carlotta: You're welcome. I have to run. Oh, don't forget, christmas dinner is at 2:00, but come early.

Keri: Uh, you know, we're definitely going to try to make it, but we do have to be with my mom on that day, and she's planning something with hank.

Carlotta: Your mother?

Keri: Yeah. And of course we'll have to see just my father because he's not going to want to be around hank or my mom. And then there's also this obligation I have with my dean. It's just an appearance, but it's going to take time, so --

carlotta: Llll, antonio will want to have christmas dinner with his mother.

Keri: I know, I mean, but there's just so much time, and antonio's working on this really big case. It's kind of impor--

[Phone rings]

Keri: Can you come in for a second? I'm expecting some test results. Excuse me.

[Ring]

Keri: Hello? Oh, thank you, prof. Baker. I'll have to talk to my fiance. I'm afraid our time's a little tight this year, but thank you for the invitation. Merry christmas to you, too. Bye-bye. Sorry about that.

Carlotta: Keri, I know you and antonio are very busy, but my sons have always had christmas dinner with their mother. And it begins at 2:00.

Keri: Right. Can I bring anything?

Carlotta: Just my son. I love christmas. It's my favorite holiday.

Keri: Oh.

Keri: And I love antonio.

R.J.: Look, I know my life has been far from perfect. But I'm telling u, the minute that I met keri, everything changed. I mean, suddenly I wanted to do the right thing.

Liz: For her.

R.J.: Yes. So don't you see why I think that if I'd known about her from the start, everything would've been different.

Liz: Come on, R.J. I'm not going s sit here and let you blame me for the kind of life that you led.

R.J.: Now, wait a minute --

liz: Oh, if you'd known about keri -- wow! -- You wouldn't have gone into a life of crime? Come on, will you? That's easy to say now.

R.J.: All right, all right, maybe I'm full of it. Maybe I'm kidding myself.

Liz: Mm-hmm.

R.J.: But it's something I think about. I think about it a lot. I know that I do wish that I had been there from the first minute.

Liz: The first minute -- it was a long time coming. But I swear, when keri finally made her appearance, she came out smiling.

R.J.: Really?

Liz: Mm-hmm. I remember when I went into labor. Oh, I was out to dinner with hank. He took me to the hospital and he stayed there with me the whole time.

R.J.: Henry was there?

Liz: R.J. --

R.J.: Well, look, it's my brother, johnny-on-the-spot.

Liz: Mm-hmm.

R.J.: Right there when you need him. I still wish it had been me.

Antonio: How do you -- did she tell you?

Hank: It doesn't matter how I know. The fact is you slept with your fiancee's mother.

Antonio: Hank, it wasn't anything --

hank: Which means, antonio, that every day that you spend with keri is a lie. Now, if you can live with that, fine. You go right ahead. But you talk about what friends we were and how I've always been behind you and had your back? Look, I don't even know who you are anymore.

Antonio: Hank, it was a mistake.

Hank: You're damn right it was a mistake.

Antonio: No, no. Wait a minute. Listen to me. All right, I was running. It was right after shooting ben davidson. All right, I met this woman. She was a complete stranger, and even so, she helped me. She convinced me to go back and face what I had done. She convinced me to go back and get back together with keri.

Hank: So you slept with her?

Antonio: I didn't even know who she was, hank.

Hank: Did you think to ask?

Antonio: It just happened. Look, ha, , when I got back to llanview, I thought I was going to be able to put everything behind me. But then I found out that -- that liz was keri's mother, and I knew that I was going to have to be honest with keri.

Hank: Oh, you've done a real good job with that, now, haven't you?

Antonio: Hank, I tried. I tried. Believe me, I tried. I went to keri and I told her that I had bnn with someone. But she didn't want to hear it. She told me to stop because it hurt her, so I wasn't about to push it.

Hank: How convenient.

Antonio: Not to mention that liz was after me not to ruin things between her and keri. She said it was going to hurt keri too much.

Hank: Well, w,w, that I believe. Liz would do anything to protect keri. Except this is not like when she kept the fact that R.J. Is her father away from her. This would absolutely destroy keri if she found out the wrong way.

Antonio: You're right. You're right, it would destroy her if she found out the wrong way.

Nun: Oh, excuse me, sisters. I was supposed to deliver the meals tonight.

Blair: Yes.

Nun: I don't recognize you.

Blair: I'm sister monica, and this is sister anna nicole.

Nun: Oh, you must be new. I'm sister mary margaret.

Blair: Hello. Nice to meet you. Sister anna nicole has taken a vow of silence, and -- well, yes, so we are going to help you deliver the meals. We know how busy you are, so you can just take a rest.

Sister mary margaret: Uh, well, bless you.

Todd: "Sister anna nicole"? Have you lost your mind?

Blair: It's all I could think of.

Todd: What?

Blair: It's all I could think of!

Todd: If you don't have anything to smart to say, don't say anything at all. That woman could've nailed us.

Blair: Hey, I had to be nice, didn't I?

Todd: Look, if somebody figures out that you're in llanview, it's going to blow everything. Fine, you know what, go in there and say hi to your mother so we can get the hell out of here, will you? And if there's any kind of trouble -- if somebody comes by -- I'll knock two times like this.

Blair: Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for everything, todd, really --

todd: Go, come on. Go. We haven't got all night.

Blair: Ok.

Blair: Oh, mama.

Addie: Sister? Why can't I see my daughter? I want to see blair. Why won't they let her come? Is she in trouble again?

Blair: No. No, mama. I'm fine. Everything's going to be ok.

Addie: Sister?

Blair: No, mama. No. It's me, blair.

Viki: Sweetheart, we're all going to get you through this, ok?

Cristian: Natalie, come on. Let's get out of here.

Natalie: No.

No. Look, I said that I made a mistake about michael, but it's not what you think.

Viki: Then what is it?

Natalie: Look, when you told me that michael was mitch laurence, I -- I was upset.

Viki: Well, of course you were.

Natalie: Yeah, but you have to understand something. Michael has changed. He's a very different man, and I never should've doubted him.

Cristian: Oh, come on, that's crazy.

Bo: No, he hasn't changed.

Viki: Natalie, for heaven's sakes, think of what this man did to you, to your family! It's his fault that you grew up with roxanne.

Cristian: He's making you say all this stuff. What'd you do to her, man?

Natalie: No, just lisn to me. Michael -- he's changed, and you have to give him a chance to show how much he's changed. He's -- he's not the same man that he used to be. Michael is good. He's a wonderful man and a wonderful husband, and I love him.

Cristian: Natalie, you don't love this guy. Come on, you're scared to death of him.

Natalie: I told y the truth. Michael has changed.

Mitch: Darling, I think you said all there is to say. If these people refuse to hear the truth -- well, may god forgive them. Shall we?

Viki: Natalie, wait. Wait.

Mitch: Viki --

viki: Darling, I know you well enough to know --

mitch: Please, my wife has spoken from her heart. Don't berate her any further. Now, I know you're displeased, and I'm sorry, but our love --

viki: You're not sorry. You're gloating.

Mitch: You know, I'm trying to be polite here. After all, we're family now.

Bo: You want to make some phony claims about family, you go ahead. But you remember, you're at the top of my list.

Mitch: Yes, you've made that abundantly clear.

Bo: I'm going to bring you down.

Mitch: Commissioner if you persist in persecuting me, I think it only fair to warn you that we will fight back with all of the resources we now have at our joint disposal.

Cristian: I'm not letting this go, natalie. We had something. You know it and I know it, and it's not something you can just make disappear. So, what happened? What did he say? What'd he do?

Mitch: Mr. Vega, I have faced many skeptics in my time, and you know what I've always noticed? It's their own insecurities that make them unable to appreciate ththe happiness in other people's lives.

Cristian: Natalie, we love each other.

Natalie: You know what, don't talk to me about love. You went all that time claiming you were so in love with jen, and then, what, you all of a sudden decide that you're in love with me? You don't know what love is! You don't know what it is to make a real commitment. Now, I have promised my life to my husband, and that means forever.

Cristian: No.

Natalie: Good-bye.

Addie: You're real! I'm touching you. You're not a dream.

Blair: No, mama, I'm right here. Oh, how are you? My gosh, you are burning up. Let me get you some water, all right? There you go. Can you sit up just a little bit? There you go. Is that better?

Addie: Mm-hmm.

Blair: Ok, can -- can you eat a little soup for me?

Addie: Uh-uh.

Blair: Oh, mama, please, I wish that you would eat.

Addie: They said you couldn't come. Why did they say that, blair?

Blair: They made a mistake, mama.

Addie: My baby came to see me. I'm going to tell everybody you --

blair: No, mama. Mama, no, no -- mama, mama -- shh, shh. No. You can't tell anyone, all right? It has to be our little secret.

Addie: Why?

Nun: Sister -- excuse me, what's your name?

Todd: [Disguised voice] Sister anna nicole.

Nun: And you came with someone named sister monica?

Todd: Yes. I have to deliver these meals.

Nun: We seem to have a problem. I've never heard of either one of you.

Singer: It came upon

[Doorbell rings]

Singer: A midnight clear that glorious song of old

keri: Hey!

Antonio: Hey.

Keri: What are you doing here? I thought you had to work late.

Antonio: I -- I wrapped things up a little early.

Keri: Well, guess who's the first to step under this?

Antonio: I'm a lucky man.

Singer: Peace on the earth

keri: We've got a lot of work to do. Do you remember what we were doing last year at this time?

Totonio: Decorating nora's tree. And you fell off the stool so I could catch you.

Keri: I didn't do that on purpose.

Antonio: Oh, come on. You know you planned that the minute I walked through the door.

Keri: Get out of here! Never mind. I've got something special I want to show you.

Antonio: Keri, the'e's -- there's something I need to tell you -- a sonogram?

Keri: Of the baby I'm carrying for my mom. Isn't she beautiful?

Antonio: It's a girl?

Keri: Maybe.

Antonio: What makes you say that?

Keri: Well, I don't see any evidence to the contrary, do you?

Antonio: A little girl.

Keri: Yeah. Just like the one my mom lost all those years ago. It's going to be such a great surprise for her. She's going to -- antonio, what's wrong?

Singer: The weary world

R.J.: I'm curious. How did henry get so far into the picture?

Liz: When you left, I was alone.

R.J.: When I was arrested and sent to prison.

Liz: I was so young. I didn't have a clue as to what to do.

R.J.: So henry's the answer man? Someone to lean on?

Liz: Yes. Even though I was totally miserable, one thing I did know was that I wanted that baby. Our baby. Could've done without the labor part, but when keri was born and I saw her the first time, I was so happy. Because even though I knew that you hurt me, it was like we created this amazing little thing. And that's what it was, and I wish so much that you were there to see that with me, R.J., Holding my hand instead of hank. Holding my hand with those two fingers hooked over mine, remember?

R.J.: What are you talking about? You remember that?

Z: Of course I do.

Natalie: Cris, this is my choice, and I'm choosing to stay with michael. And maybe one day you will understand this is -- this is better for the both of us.

Mitch: I hope you will learn to accept our love, viki. It would mean so much to natalie to have her family's support.

Viki: Never.

Blair: Mama, this visit has to be just our little secret, ok?

Addie: Why?

Blair: Well, the nuns -- they don't want me to catch what you have

addie: Because then you'll give it to starr and jack?

Blair: Yeah, yeah, that's right, mama.

Addie: Blair, I don't want to make you sick. I don't want to make the children sick. You have to go!

Blair: No, no, mama -- shh, it's ok, it's ok.

Addie: But it's christmastime, and the children --

blair: No, no, mama, listen to me. I want to be here more than anything in the whole world. I want to be here with you.

Addie: But I want to do what's right, blair.

Blair: I know you do, mama. And here's what you can do, is you can stop worrying about me, ok? And you concentrate on getting better. Can you do that for me?

Addie: I will.

Blair: Good. Would you like to try a little soup now?

Addie: Yes.

Blair: Ok. Good.

Addie: If they wouldn't let you come see me, then how did you get in? Did god help you? Did he -- did he make you into a nun?

Blair: No, mama. It was a man. Just a M..

todd: [Disguised voice] We're not from around here.

Nun: Well, where are you from?

Todd: St. Patrick'S.

Nun: In new jersey?

Todd: Yes. And we heard that you needed help, so we came down to lend a hand.

Nun: Oh, well, thank you for being so generous with your time.

Todd: Oh.

Nun: Bless you. This is addie cramer's room. She's very ill. Did she get a special meal?

Todd: Yes.

Nun: I'll make sure she's eating.

Antonio: No, no, everything's -- everything's fine. Just a lot going on.

Keri: With work, right. I can imagine. Is hank involved in any of that?

Antonio: What do you mean?

Keri: Well, it's just that I talked to him earlier about why he seems so mad at you.

Antonio: Look, keri --

keri: I -- never mind, never mind. I never even should've brought it up. It's between you and hank. And besides, I'd rather talk about other things, like spending some time with you, even though it's not going to be mu h time.

Antonio: It's been pretty hard lately.

Keri: Yeah. Not to mention all the christmas parties and the christmas dinners we're invited to.

Antonio: We might have to go on a diet.

Keri: Oh, your mom stopped by. She wants us to come by for christmas dinner, too.

Antonio: We definitely have to go on a diet.

Keri: You kn, , I -- I have this little wish, kind of like a little dream of mine.

Antonio: Yeah? What's that?

Keri: That we could spend christmas alone, just you and me under the mistletoe, under the tree, under the covers.

Antonio: That sounds amazing.

Keri: Think we can do it?

Antonio: We could try.

Keri: Well, if you take care of your mom, I'll take care of mine and hank and R.J.

Antonio: Deal. Deal. We'll -- we'll have our own christmas.

Keri: Hey. What is it? What's wrong?

Antonio: Keri, I -- I ran into hank tonight at st. Ann'S. There's something I need to tell you.

Viki: I should've done something!

Bo: Viki --

viki: When she said she loved him, I was so stunned I didn't know what to think!

Bo: We have to step back. Ok? For now, we have to let natalie do this her way.

Cristian: Oh, come on, you don't think she loves him, do you?

Viki: No.

Bo: No. It's obvious that she's under a lot of pressure from him.

Cristian: Well, then, we got to do something. I mean, I know her. She's lying.

Viki: Yeah, absolutely. She's lying.

Bo: Yeah, but she's an adult. She just left here with laurence of her own free will.

Cristian: Yeah, but can't we call him in for questioning or something, at least so we can get her out of the house?

Bo: No, it'll blow it up in our faces. We can't use force right now. We just have to wait. And laurence -- he's just -- he'sayay too sure of himself. He's going to crash and burn, believe me.

Viki: But until that happens, what about natalie?

Bo: Natalie is holding her own right now. And I think she can hang in.

Viki: Well, I mean, she seemed strong,ut --

bo: Viki, it's not going to take all that long.

Cristian: Well, maybe you can wait, but I'm not going to.

Mitch: Darling --

natalie: Don't start.

Mitch: Whose bright idea was it to have rex tell me that jessica was in boston?

Natalie: How did you know about that? Were you having me followed?

Mitch: You and your ex-little brother better be more careful in the future. I'm sure you realize you never hear the one that hits you.

Natalie: The one --

mitch: The bullet, darling. It's an old expression. You've never heard it?

Natalie: No.

Mitch: Oh, never mind. Let's talk about your visit to the police, shall we? Now, what were you going to do, tell them that I'd kill cristian if you left me? What, did you think uncle bo would throw me in jail and stop me from keeping my vow?

Natalie: I told them that I loved you.

Mitch: That's not enough! Who do you think you're playing with here? I know exactly what I'm doing. Look at me! Don't you ever pull another stunt like that, or else cristian won't be the only one who's dead.

Todd: [Disguised voice] I'll -- I'll feed her!

Nun: Oh -- oh, no. No, no, that's not possible. Ms. Cramer's frightened of strangers.

Todd: But I --

hank: Excuse me, sister louise.

Sister louise: Yes?

Hank: Listen, I finished my interview with mr. Gresham. I just need you to sign a few forms.

Sister louise: Oh, of course.

Hank: Thanks.

Sister louise: Thank you. Sister.

Blair: Mama, you don't need to know who helped me sneak in here.

Addie: But I want to.

Blair: I know you do, but it's -- mama. My gosh, you were burning up before, and I think your fever's broken. You're getting better!

Addie: That's because my little girl came to see me.

Blair: Oh, it's amazing.

Addie: It's all because of you and that nice man who helped you. He must be a very special man to have done that for you, blair. Is he -- is the man who helped you -- is he a special man?

Todd: [Normal voice] It's enough to make you crazy.

Hank: Excuse me, sister manning.

Antonio: Look, keri, I -- hank said some things. He made me -- made me realize -- look, keri, there's something I need to tell you. That night I went driving, something --

[Phone rings]

Keri: Oh, wait. I'm sorry, antonio. I'm expecting some test results from my doctor. Hello? Yes, dr. Conklin. Do you have those test results? Well, what, you can't tell me over the phone? Right. Uh -- sure, right away.

Antonio: What is it, honey? What did -- what did she say?

Keri: I have to go to the hospital. There's something wrong with the baby.

Liz: So why would you think that I'd forget our first date?

R.J.: Well, it started out so bad.

Liz: Hmm.

R.J.: Well, I said I could, and then I couldn't get us into that juke joint to see B.B. King, so --

liz: Yeah. So you took me to the movies.

R.J.: Yeah, where we drew more than our fair share of stares.

Liz: I didn't care.
