Previously on "One Life to Live" --
Jessica: There's something she doesn't want me to know, but what?
Viki: I have to keep Jessica far away from Mitch Laurence. He's her father.
Jen: I heard you got married.
Natalie: Who told you?
Jen: Cristian.
Cristian: There's only one reason Natalie would stay married to the guy.
Viki: What do you think that is?
Cristian: She's trying to protect you.
Viki: Or you.

[knock on door]
Blair: Oh, Sam!
Sam: Hey.
Blair: I'm so glad to see you.
Sam: Me, too.
Blair: I'm going stir-crazy in this place not being able to see you.
Sam: Yeah, well, I've been a little crazy myself not being able to see you.
Blair: Yeah, but now that we have this case, this custody case --
Sam: Mm-hmm.
Blair: That Cassie supposedly, you know --
Sam: Yeah --
Blair: Hit Todd up with --
Sam: Uh-huh.
Blair: You have every right to come over here, you know, and check on my kids, being the responsible attorney that you are.
Sam: That's right. Thank God for Cassie and
her imaginary lawsuit.
Blair: Yes. Mm-hmm.
Todd: Oh -- ew. All right, see, now -- I thought that you were supposed to be a smart guy.
Sam: What's your problem, Todd?
Todd: What's my problem? My problem is that you almost blew everything and you don't even know it.
Gabrielle: Oh.
[knock on door]
Gabrielle: Bo. Bo, is that you? Oh, good. Oh, good, good, good. I was wondering if you were ever going to come home! Hi!
Al: What's going on? Did something happen between you and Bo?
Roxy: Hey, Commish, I came here voluntarily,
so don't get no bright ideas about throwing me back in the slammer, ok?
Bo: Roxanne, look, it's just like I told you at Pa's house -- you have nothing to worry about. All I need from you is some information on your husband's death.
Roxy: Yeah, I think I can do that.
Bo: Oh, good. Look, ok, think back. Now, can you remember anything that would link Dr. Balsom's death to Mitch Laurence?
Jessica: Say that again.
Rex: Natalie got married to some guy named Mitch.
Jessica: Not Mitch Laurence.
Rex: Yeah. I think that was it. What's wrong? Do you know him?
Jessica: I have to go.
Jessica: Listen, don't tell anyone I called, ok?
Rex: Wait. Wait a second.
Seth: Jess? Jessica?
Jessica: We have to go home, now.
Viki: I think you're the one she's trying to protect.
Cristian: You're right. That's got to be it. Natalie's doing this for me.
Viki: Cristian --
Cristian: Mrs. Davidson, I got to get to her.
Viki: No! No, you cannot do that.
Natalie: Have I done the right thing?
Mitch's voice: I'll kill Cristian if you leave me.
Shawna: Oh, look. It's poor little rich girl
Mollie: Look at her all by herself. Isn't it
a pity? You think she's been out shopping?
Shawna: What for? It's not like she's got a boyfriend.
Mollie: Oh, yeah, that's right.
Shawna: And she's not about to get one after what she did to Cristian's wedding. Oh, I know. Let's go over and ask her how it feels to ruin the happiest day of someone else's life. Oh. Get out. You did not get married? Who's the unlucky guy?
Jen: So you're Natalie’s husband.
Mitch: Yes, I am.
Jen: Well, I've known Natalie for quite a while now, and she's never mentioned you. Why would the two of you get married?
Mitch: That's an interesting question. Why don't you stay for a while? I think you and I may have a lot to talk about.
Jessica: I know why we had to leave Llanview.
Seth: Are you ok?
Jessica: This is crazy.
Seth: Oh, Jess, this has got to be the worst thing for you. But I promise I'm going to take care of you. I'm not going to let anything happen.
Jessica: It already did happen.
Seth: What?
Jessica: I just can't believe my mom didn't tell me.
Seth: You mean before we left Llanview?
Jessica: No, I mean at all.
Seth: Wait a minute. Who --
Jessica: And why did I have to hear it from Rex?
Jessica: Yeah, who else would it be?
Seth: What did he say?
Jessica: He said that Natalie married Mitch Laurence.
Seth: What?
Jessica: I -- I can't believe she would do this.
Seth: She married Mitch Laurence?
Jessica: You think she even knows who he is?
Seth: Jess, you know, you shouldn't have talked to Rex.
Jessica: No, I know I shouldn't have, but I had to.
Seth: No, no, no, you promised. You're only supposed to talk to your mom.
Jessica: Well, my mom isn't telling me anything. But I'm having this weird feeling that you can.
Mitch: Would you like to sit down?
Jen: No, no. That's ok.
Mitch: Yeah, I know. I must apologize. I never placed too much importance on creature comforts.
Jen: Why not?
Mitch: Let's just say I have higher priorities.
Jen: Like what?
Mitch: Helping people. I know who you are, Jen Rappaport.
Jen: What, did Natalie tell you about me?
Mitch: Not exactly. But I wanted to tell you I'm very sorry about your baby.
Jen: Yeah, a lot of things changed when that happened.
Mitch: Maybe not as much as you think.
Jen: What do you mean?
Mitch: You're a smart girl. Think about it. Now that I'm married to Natalie, that puts a different slant on you and Cristian, doesn't it?
Shawna: I guess money does buy anything after all, huh?
Natalie: Get lost, both of you.
Shawna: So he must be some real loser, huh? What'd you do, get him out of some soup kitchen?
Mollie: Or a homeless shelter. Were you feeling like giving to charity, Natalie?
Shawna: Ooh, to hook up with you -- I think he's the one giving to charity.
Natalie: You see this little label on the back of this cup here? It says "caution. Very hot." Oh -- oh, whoops. I forgot. You both can't read.
Shawna: Are you threatening to scald me with
hot coffee? Oh, Natalie, I'm sorry. That is a new low.
Natalie: Get away from me.
Shawna: Yeah, right.
Rex: You heard her. Get out.
Shawna: What do you care? You're not her real brother. Oh. Or, wait. Is she paying you, too?
Rex: I said get out.
Shawna: You know what? Come on, Mollie. I've seen enough of Rex to know that he doesn't really have much to brag about. And I mean nothing.
Rex: Sorry about that.
Natalie: Wasn't your fault.
Rex: I just heard you got married. Is it true? It's a joke, right?
Natalie: What is it with everybody? I find a
guy I like and I get married. I mean, is that really that weird?
Rex: Yeah, since it happened in, like, all of five seconds when you were in love with someone else.
Natalie: I don't need this.
Rex: You know what I mean. It's just -- I thought you were in love with Cristian. What?
Natalie: Ok, look. You have to keep this between us and only us, ok?
Rex: Yeah.
Natalie: I mean, you can't tell Jessica or Cristian or anybody, ok?
Rex: Yes, I promise. Cross my heart, whole deal.
Natalie: I am -- I am still in love with Cristian, more than ever.
Rex: So why'd you marry this other guy?
Natalie: Because he helped me. I thought
Cristian was marrying Jen. At least I thought he was helping me.
Rex: But now you're not sure?
Natalie: I don't know. All I know is now I just -- I need some time. I need to think and figure out whether or not I'm doing the right thing. Just Mitch won't give it to me.
Rex: Mitch Laurence, right?
Natalie: Yeah. Otherwise known as Michael Lazarus.
Rex: Wait. Is this, like, an older guy, dark hair, smooth-talking with a low voice?
Natalie: Yeah. Why?
Viki: Cristian, please, no. You cannot go and do something foolish now.
Cristian: Mrs. Davidson, I can't let Natalie do this.
Viki: You don't understand. Mitch Laurence
is a very dangerous man. He's a killer.
Cristian: And Natalie’s married to him.
Viki: Yeah, but if you do something foolish, you're going to endanger yourself and her.
Cristian: I think Natalie’s already in danger. She's only with the guy because he's probably forcing her.
Viki: Yes, I agree.
Cristian: And I'm sure he's threatening her somehow, and it's got to be pretty serious because Natalie wouldn't go along with it.
Viki: I'm sure you're right because that's how he operates. He finds a person's weak spot and he attacks.
Cristian: Right. And he knows that Natalie loves me.
Viki: Yeah. He knows exactly how important
you are to Natalie.
Cristian: And he's probably keeping her in line by threatening to take me out.
Viki: Yep, he probably is.
Cristian: Or maybe you and Jessica. You guys can be in trouble, too.
Viki: Well, yes, that's certainly possible. But the point is we have to be very careful how we deal with this. We're not -- we're not equipped to deal with this alone, ok?
Cristian: Yeah, but, Mrs. Davidson, we got to do something.
Viki: Yeah, but we can't go to Natalie for help because if it's true, then she can't admit it.
Cristian: She's acting like it's what she wants.
Viki: Right. So we have to be very smart,
and we're going to go to the police.
Cristian: I just want to go over there and get her.
Viki: So do I. But, honey, if she says she's happy, she can't walk out with us, right?
Cristian: Yeah, but the police? What is Laurence going to do if he finds out?
Viki: Well, he doesn't have to find out, not until it's too late. And you know what? If he does, his ego is such that he probably wouldn't care.
Cristian: Yeah, you're right. I mean, he already has what he wants -- Natalie.
Viki: Yeah. But not for long, ok? Bo is going to figure this out. There has to be some sort of legal way that we can get Natalie away from Mitch.
Cristian: Well, there better be. Because no
matter what happens, I'm not letting Natalie spend one more day with this guy.
Why don't we go find Commisioner Buchanan?
Viki: Ok.
Blair: Why is it that every time Sam is here, you just happen to barge in, huh?
Todd: Ok, fine. You go ahead. You keep making gaga eyes at Sam here. But then when you get yourself killed, I'll stand over your dead body and I'll tell you that I told you so.
Sam: What?
Todd: Here.
Sam: What are these?
Todd: I had infrared photos taken through that window there, through those curtains.
Sam: From where, a helicopter?
Todd: You know, where I -- that's just --
the important thing is that I'm looking out for Blair to make sure that she's
safe, which is more than I can say for you.
Sam: Well, wait a minute. I was the one who was concerned enough about her safety to have her stay here with you.
Blair: Wait a minute. What does this prove, huh?
Todd: Well, I don't know. I'm not a lawyer, so I don't know what it proves. But here's what I'm thinking, right. Ok, this is you, and I think this is you, and that's -- well, I -- I -- pretty sure you're not discussing the case.
Sam: My being here isn't the point.
Todd: Right. Yeah, my point is that whoever
killed Suzanne, if he's got half a brain, he's already figured out that Blair’s
not, you know, sorting crayons at a funny farm in Switzerland. And he could have
followed you here and walked in on you guys playing tonsil hockey.
Sam: Ok, there's one chance in a billion Todd could be right.
Blair: Ok, you know what? Whatever. Figure it out, Todd, because I'm not going to give up seeing Sam, ok?
Todd: Oh, no -- hold these. I already figured it out. Wooden blinds. You can't see through them.
Sam: That's good.
Todd: Yeah, well, I'm glad you think so because you're going to install them and then you're going to get the hell out.
Gabrielle: Of course nothing has happened. He's just working around the clock, that's all.
Al: Yeah?
Gabrielle: Have you ever tried to decorate a
tree all by yourself? Because I'm telling you, it's no fun.
Al: Well, why don't you just wait till he gets home? He does at least sleep here, right?
Gabrielle: Usually, yes. But lately he's been working especially hard, so I can't say when he's going to be back.
Al: All right, I'll help you.
Gabrielle: Oh, that's my boy. Oh, that's a start, isn't it? Yeah. This reminds me of -- well, it's a better-looking tree -- but the ratty one we used to have in that small apartment on Sixth Street.
Al: "Ratty"? That wasn't ratty, ok? Hey, who says that you got to have a million ornaments for a tree to be nice, ok?
Gabrielle: No one. But traditionally, you normally have more than two.
Al: And since when do we care about
tradition?
Gabrielle: Oh, this is coming from the boy who had to have the same cereal every single morning for at least three years running?
Al: Ok, I did have a thing for Cocoa Crisps for a while, but it wasn't tradition. It was they turned the milk into chocolate milk.
Gabrielle: Thank you for stopping by. You have made me feel a lot less lonely today.
Al: And when we're done decorating the tree --
Gabrielle: Mm-hmm.
Al: You can put this under it.
Gabrielle: How sweet of you.
Al: Well, calm down, ok? It's nothing big, all right?
Gabrielle: I can't wait to open it. Thank you, sweetie.
Al: So, has Bo mentioned anything to you
about why he's been working so hard lately?
Gabrielle: No, not specifically, no. But I can tell you, I have a feeling that there's something very big going on with the police.
Bo: Cheers.
Roxy: I don't know. You know, my memory's not as good as it used to be, and, well, it wasn't so hot back then, either.
Bo: Well, the Atlantic City Police Department sent me this report on your husband's accident.
Roxy: Is Officer. Driscoll still there? Ah, he was a really good guy. He used to be walking the casino beat when I was dancing in the fountain.
Bo: I don't know if he's still there. You see, I didn't talk to him.
Roxy: Right. So this is about my husband's
death, huh?
Bo: Yes, yes. See, their investigation reached a dead end. They suspected he was forced off the road, but they could never prove that.
Roxy: So if you couldn't prove it then, what difference is it going to make now?
Bo: Maybe if you just keep taking a look at that report, then it'll jog your memory.
Roxy: Oh, maybe, yeah. There's always a possibility.
Antonio: If you help us pin the death of your husband on Mitch Laurence, we could put him in prison where he belongs. There's no statute of limitation on murder.
Roxy: Yeah, I don't care. You know, quite honestly, I just care about saving my own neck, all right?
Bo: Yeah, you have nothing to worry about.
Roxy: Well, I'm not so sure about that because Wally was telling me that a couple of nurses kicked the bucket after the babies were switched.
Bo: Did he say anything else about their deaths?
Roxy: No, but that was after Mitch kicked the bucket, too, and then, you know, not long after that, Wally went bye-bye.
Bo: Was your husband afraid of Mitch?
Roxy: Who wasn't? Mitch Laurence was bad news. Look, if he killed Wally, you know, he could kill me, too.
Bo: I keep telling you, you have nothing to worry about. I'm going to make sure that you have protection.
Roxy: Yeah, well, you better.
Bo: I will. You must remember something.
Roxy: I don't know, you know. All I remember
is the night of his last ride, he was talking to someone on the phone. And he
said to this someone, you know, he was going to spill the beans about
everything.
Bo: About what?
Roxy: Well, I don't know. You know, my husband was in trouble with a lot of people.
Antonio: Oh, he had other enemies besides Laurence?
Roxy: Oh, yeah. You know, he could give out numbers like at a bakery, you know?
Bo: How come?
Roxy: Well, you know, my husband liked gambling as much as I did, and that's saying a whole lot. Problem was he wasn't any good at it. So, you know, I used to try to give him advice, but it didn't do any good because he wasn't going to listen.
Bo: Hmm.
Roxy: You know, I think that's all I remember.
Bo: You know something, Roxanne? You have
been very helpful.
Roxy: Really?
Bo: Yeah. I want to thank you for coming in.
Roxy: Oh, yeah, well, sure thing.
Bo: Yeah. And if you think of anything else, I want you to call me personally.
Roxy: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure I will.
Bo: Good. Then we'll be in touch.
Roxy: All right. See you around, guys.
Bo: All right. Nobody rests until we get this guy.
Antonio: I'm looking into the deaths of the other people present at Jessica and Natalie’s birth.
Bo: The nurses.
Antonio: Well, if Laurence killed them, then
he's damned clever.
Bo: I know.
Antonio: And because it was a long time ago, a lot of the witnesses, not to mention the evidence, have disappeared. I mean, we don't have a lot to go on.
Cristian: Commissioner, you got to save Natalie.
Jen: So you're saying that with Natalie out of the picture, I can get Cristian back?
Mitch: Why not? I mean, she was the problem, wasn't she? And now I've solved it for you.
Jen: How much do you know about me and Cristian?
Mitch: Enough. How much do you know about me and Natalie?
Jen: Nothing. I mean, I was really shocked when I heard she'd gotten married.
Mitch: Were you?
Jen: Yeah, I mean, she's been after Cristian for months. How did you get her to give up on him?
Mitch: Well, I just helped her to realize it was a lost cause. She has been in a world of hurt. We both have been. And two people at low points in their life.
Jen: And now you're happy?
Mitch: I'm ecstatic. I foresee a long and fruitful union with Natalie.
Jen: Great. Congratulations.
Mitch: Thank you.
Jen: I've got to go. I have to meet my dad.
Mitch: Listen, since I've been so forthcoming with you, maybe you would be willing to do something for me.
Jen: Like what?
Mitch: Well, I'm very anxious to meet my new sister-in-law, Jessica Buchanan. Would you happen to know where she is?
Jessica: I think I know what's going on.
Seth: Nothing is going on.
Jessica: I think you know why we had to leave town. You lied to me.
Seth: Why do you say that?
Jessica: Because you thought that I found out the real reason when you walked in here.
Seth: You said you had.
Jessica: What aren't you telling me? Tell me. Come on. Whatever it is --
Seth: Jess, I've told you everything I can
tell you.
Jessica: No. No. There's something you're not telling me.
Seth: Jessica, just stop, ok? You're just going to make things worse.
Jessica: For who?
Seth: For yourself!
Jessica: How can it get worse, Seth? My sister just married a killer who tried to ruin our family once before, and I'm just supposed to sit here in hiding and let it happen again?
Seth: Your mom's handling this, ok? You're just going to have to trust her.
Jessica: No, my mom needs me and so does Natalie, but I want to know what's going on.
Jessica: Why?
Seth: There's nothing more I can tell you.
Jessica: Well, then, I have to go. What are you doing?
Seth: Jess, I'm sorry. I can't let you leave.
Rex: I met a guy named Michael Lazarus. He showed up at the library while I was studying.
Natalie: Are you sure that was his name?
Rex: Yeah, and he looked just like you described him. He gave me this card.
Natalie: What did he want?
Rex: To know where Jessica is.
Natalie: Jessica? Why?
Rex: I don't know. He mentioned both your
names, but it was like Jessica was the one he was interested in. He seemed,
like, kind of weird.
Natalie: Yeah. Yeah.
Rex: So if you still love Cristian, why'd you marry him?
Natalie: It's complicated. I don't know. I just -- I need some time. I need some time to know what I should do and figure out whether or not I'm doing the right thing.
Rex: But Mitch won't let you?
Natalie: No. He keeps breathing down my neck. I mean, if he would just lay off -- I don't know -- maybe I could figure a way out.
Rex: Can I help? Distract him or something?
Natalie: You know something? I think I have an idea that just might work.
Sam: Now, I know you don't think I'm going to help you install those blinds.
Todd: Well, I'm not going to install them.
And it's not like we can hire somebody to install them because that'll blow the
cover here for what's her name, and -- well, they're certainly not going to
install themselves, now, are they? Ok, fine. I'll install them. But until
they're up, you better get the hell out of here.
Sam: You know, you're going to hurt somebody's feelings one of these days, Todd.
Blair: Hey, hey, hey -- you know what? Why don't you go and I'll talk to Todd. And you know what? Don't even pay any attention to what he says because you can come here anytime that you want, Sam.
Sam: I don't know. I'm going to have to think about it.
Blair: Why?
Sam: Well, because there is one chance in a billion someone could see through those curtains.
Blair: Someone did. It was Todd. But he's taking care of that.
Sam: I do miss you, you know.
Blair: Oh, I miss you. And I just want all
this to be over with so we can be together again, all right?
Sam: Well, maybe it is too risky for me to come here.
Blair: No, it isn’t.
Sam: I don't want to endanger you.
Blair: You're not. We have this case. You know, you have every reason to come over here and see me. A good reason, ok?
Sam: Ok.
Blair: Ok.
Sam: I'll see you later.
Blair: Ok.
Sam: Bye.
Blair: I know what you're up to.
Rex: You sure about this?
Natalie: Positive. But you have to say everything that we talked about -- I mean exactly.
Jen: I know Jessica.
Mitch: But do you know where she is?
Jen: Well, I don't know her that well. We're
not that close.
Mitch: Well, you and Natalie aren't that close, either.
Jen: No. But I hope that the two of you have a long and happy life together.
Mitch: I'm sure you do. And I wish the same for you and Cristian.
Jen: You really think we can help each other?
Mitch: Mm-hmm.
[phone rings]
Mitch: Pardon me.
[ring]
Mitch: Hello.
Rex: Yeah, is this Michael Lazarus?
Mitch: Yes, it is. Who's this?
Rex: It's Rex Balsom. You gave me your card
at the Llanview U. Library, remember? You told me to call you if I got any
information about where Jessica Buchanan is.
Mitch: Yes. Do you have something for me?
Rex: Maybe. How much is it worth to you?
Mitch: $1,000 -- if the information is good. How's that sound?
Rex: Sounds good to me. Ok, Jessica’s in Boston. The address is 1619 Cromwell Street, apartment 3-B.
Mitch: Thank you. You'll have the money shortly.
Rex: So, what happens when he gets to Boston and no Jessica?
Natalie: So I guess you just tell him that she left before he got there.
Rex: He'll never buy that. He'll know I was lying.
Natalie: Yeah, but he'll never be able to prove it.
Rex: It's risky. He didn't seem like the
kind of guy who likes to be disappointed.
Natalie: No, he's not.
Rex: So, what are you going to do now?
Natalie: I -- I'm going to go talk to someone, someone who can hopefully figure out a way for me to get out of this.
Rex: You want me to tag along?
Natalie: No, I think I need to do this alone.
Rex: Ok. Well, good luck.
Natalie: Thanks.
Rex: Be careful.
Natalie: Thanks.
Mitch: I'm terribly sorry, but something's come up. I'm going to have to leave immediately.
Mitch: Good. So do I. Thank you.
Jen: Good luck with everything.
Mitch: Good luck to you, too, Jennifer. I'm sure we'll speak again soon.
Cristian: So we think that Natalie’s staying with this Mitch guy because she's trying to protect me or someone else closer to her.
Bo: Yeah, Mitch. You know, he's been known to have, like, a mesmerizing effect on young women.
Viki: Yeah, but he finds where they're vulnerable and he attacks.
Bo: What did Natalie say to you?
Cristian: Just that she wanted to stay with him -- Mitch -- or Michael, as she called him.
Antonio: Oh -- so she doesn't know that you
know who he really is?
Cristian: No, no. I didn't know anything until Mrs. Davidson told me that Michael Lazarus is Mitch Laurence.
Bo: All right, what happened after she told you that she wanted to stay married to him?
Cristian: Well, then she took off and I went after her. We ended up at Mitch’s house. And then she made a big deal about kissing him in front of me.
Viki: But she didn't mean it, Bo. I mean, I'm positive of that.
Cristian: We got to go over there, Commissioner.
Bo: No, no, not yet.
Cristian: But, Commissioner --
Bo: Cristian, we don't go off halfcocked
when lives are at stake.
Cristian: But Natalie’s there.
Antonio: Cristian, he's right.
Bo: Look, I know you want to get this guy, but we can't go storming over making a bunch of empty threats. Otherwise we're going to tip Laurence off, make it easy for him to cover his tracks.
Cristian: So, what -- what are we going to do? Just sit here and wait?
Bo: Yeah. Because he's cocky. He's going to make a mistake. That's when we nail him.
Cristian: All right, well, you guys can do what you want, but I'm going over there.
Antonio: No -- hey, Cristian -- por favor, calmate.
Cristian: Don't tell me to calm down, man.
This guy's dangerous. He's a killer!
Antonio: You think I want something to happen to Natalie he's doing it right. Trust me, I know.
Cristian ok.
Bo: Antonio, why don't you get over to St. Ann's and check on Allison Perkins. See if she's had any contact with Mitch Laurence recently, all right? Also see how she is mentally. See if she's in any shape to answer questions.
Antonio: Right.
Bo: Cristian's your brother right? Now, are you going to be able to stay cool about this?
Natalie: Uncle Bo, I need -- I need your help.
[drilling]
Blair: You know, I know that you are just
using this security problem to keep Sam away from me, Todd.
[phone rings]
Todd: Whoa -- no, no, you can't answer that phone.
Blair: I know that.
[ring]
Todd: It's just Cassie, anyway. She's probably calling just to yell at me.
Blair: It's for me. She's calling to talk to me, so give me the phone.
Todd: No --
[ring]
Todd: I can't let you talk to her.
Blair: Todd! Just --
Todd: You don't know -- the phone could be bugged.
Blair: Oh, Todd.
[ring]
Todd: What do you want? Addie what? Since when?
Blair: Give me the phone --
Todd: Hey! Give me that. Give me the phone
-- what is Blair going to do about that from a funny farm in Switzerland? Don't
call back.
Blair: No, that was my mom! She's sick!
Todd: She's probably just got flu --
Blair: No! It could be worse, Todd! She was asking for me!
Todd: Well, you can't go see her.
Blair: Well -- well, what am I going to do, then? Huh?
Todd: Nothing.
Blair: I need to see my mom!
Todd: No, you can’t.
Blair: Todd --
Todd: Hey, you leave here, you come back in a body bag.
Blair: She's my mother.
Todd: Well, I'm sure, then, she doesn't want to see you dead.
Blair: She needs me, Todd. Come on, don't you know what it's like to want to see your children and not be able to?
Todd: Yes, I do.
Blair: Ok, then, so --
Todd: And now Addie will also.
Blair: Now, you can't force me to stay here! Todd, she's going to think that I've totally abandoned her.
Todd: Well, too bad for her. You're not going anywhere. Get over it.
Blair: But -- mama –
Jessica: Get out of my way.
Seth: No, Jess.
Jessica: What if I try and go anyway?
Seth: I'll have to stop you.
Jessica: You're holding me prisoner?
Seth: Jess, it's just --
Jessica: I don't believe this. You're holding me prisoner.
Seth: Jessica, I'm doing what I have to to
save your life, ok? You might not like it, but --
Jessica: "Might not like it"?
Seth: You might even hate me for it, but I don't care.
Jessica: Oh, great.
Seth: I love you so much, Jess. And if I have to turn you against me to save your life, I will.
Jessica: What are you talking about? Come on, what aren't you telling me?
Seth: All I can say is that you need to stay here. I promised your mom I would keep you safe, that I would take care of you.
Jessica: No. I have to go.
Seth: Just leave it alone, Jess, ok? Can you do that?
Gabrielle: Oh, doesn't this look beautiful.
Oh, Bo is going to be so surprised when he gets back.
Al: Yeah, if he ever does get back.
Gabrielle: He will. He's just working a lot, darling. Don't worry.
Al: Yeah, well, he shouldn't be working so much that he doesn't have time for you, ok? Wait -- [Italian accent] You want I should go have a talk with him?
Gabrielle: Oh, yeah, that would really straighten him out. No, I -- sweetheart, it's his job, and work is good. I would never begrudge Bo his job because he loves it so much.
Al: [Normal voice] I understand that Bo is a
good guy. I just don't like to see you alone.
Gabrielle: I'm not alone. I have got my handsome, smart, sweet son here with me. How are you doing?
Al: Me? I'm ok.
Gabrielle: Yeah?
Al: Yeah.
Gabrielle: I worry about you this time of year.
Al: Why, because I'm not with someone?
Gabrielle: Yes. The holiday season is a bit difficult when you don't have someone to share it with.
Al: Yeah, you're right. At least I'm not pining over Jen. And that's a good thing, right?
Gabrielle: Yes, that's a very good thing because now you realize that she was never the right girl for you.
Al: Yes, mother, I realize that, ok? And I'm over her -- for good this time. Honestly. And you know what? I have a feeling that this is going to be the best Christmas ever.
Cristian: Natalie, are you ok?
Natalie: Yeah, I'm fine. What are you guys doing here?
Cristian: We've been so worried about you.
Viki: Sweetheart, we've kind of figured out what's going on.
Cristian: And I'm just glad you got away from that guy safe. Are you sure you're ok?
Natalie: No, I'm not all right. I'm not all right at all!
Viki: What is it? Tell us.
Cristian: Yeah, Natalie, we want to help you. Tell us what's going on.
Todd: Ahem. All right. Think I figured out a way for you to get into St. Ann's.
Blair: Forget it, Todd. It's impossible.
Todd: No, it's not. Hey, look.
Jen: I know.
Sam: I'm glad to see you're feeling better.
Jen: Maybe it's the season.
Sam: Yeah, well, you always did love Christmas. No, actually, I take that back. You always did love Christmas shopping.
Jen: Dad --
Sam: No, no, I bet -- let me guess -- you probably already have all your presents bought and paid for, right?
Jen: No. Not yet.
[Sam chuckles]
Sam: You sure?
Jen: But I did see a really cool pool table
-- it's miniature -- that Will's going to love.
Sam: You want to buy your brother a pool table?
Jen: Miniature. And it's not that expensive.
Sam: Yeah.
Jen: I was thinking maybe you could go in on it with me.
Sam: Oh, did you? Yeah, why am I not shocked?
Jen: I do know what I'm going to get Mom, Aunt Lanie, Matthew -- not you yet -- and Cristian. Especially for Cristian.
Sam: Well, I'm glad to hear you and Cristian are on good terms still.
Jen: Of course. Why wouldn't we be?
Sam: Well, sweetie, I was you know, just thinking that since losing the baby and canceling the wedding, maybe you and Cristian had been rethinking things.
Jen: No. I have a feeling we're not going to be rethinking anything at all now.
Seth: You will?
Jessica: Yeah. And you know what? I'm not even going to bother you with it.
Seth: Thank you, Jess, for trusting me. I'm only doing this because I love you. You know that, don't you?
Jessica: Yeah, I do.
Seth: I'm glad you understand why we have to stay here. Thanks.
Bo: Natalie, you don't have to be afraid.
Viki: Honey, Mitch can't hurt you now, ok?
Bo: And I'm going to make sure that you have police protection.
Cristian: Hey, if you want to talk private, we can.
Natalie: No, that's ok. Actually, maybe I
should say all this in front of the three of you.
Mitch: Why not say it to me as well? Hello, darling. So glad to see you. I hoped I might find you here.

On the next "one life to live" --
Blair: If I get caught, I'm dead! Is that what you want, Todd?
Antonio: I just need a straight answer. Why are you mad at me?
Liz: Can we just forget the past for one night?
Mitch: Why are you here at the police station? I certainly hope there's not a problem.
