One Life to Live Transcript Friday 11/22/02
>> Previously on "One Life to Live" --
Hank: What do you think is going to happen when that baby doesn't come out looking like Steve but the spitting image of Antonio?
Lindsay: If I didn't have a reason before to tell Nora what you did to your wife, I certainly do now.
Mitch: I am Jessica’s father.
Natalie: Cristian, look out!
[Tires screech]
[Crash]
***********************************************
[Horn]
[Horn stops]
Cristian: Natalie? Natalie? Natalie!
***********************************************
Troy: There you go. Good as new, huh?
Boy: You're the greatest, Dr. Troy! I'm going to go play.
Woman: Thank you.
Troy: You're welcome.
Nora: Another satisfied customer.
Troy: Nora, hey.
Nora: Here you are.
Troy: Flowers, huh, for me?
Nora: No, for Jen.
Troy: Ah.
Nora: This is for you.
***********************************************
Liz: I can't stay here after the baby's born. It's -- no. It's absolutely out of the question.
Keri: Why?
Liz: Honey -- look, I've intruded on your life way too much already. You and Antonio need some time alone.
Keri: Mother, we have been over this and over this. You are not intruding. We want you here.
Liz: Look, you know how you are. If I was here, you'd just be worrying about me, be over here trying to take care of me. It's just -- Keri, no! Absolutely no!
Keri: I can't believe I didn't see this before. I know the real reason you don't want to stay here.
Hank: Hey, Liz, it's Hank!
Antonio: Hey.
Hank: What are you doing here?
Antonio: I'm helping out.
Hank: Don't you think you've helped out enough?
***********************************************
Viki: How could you do something so unspeakable? Why? Why would you drug me and father a child with me? Why?
Mitch: Hmm. I thought you'd never ask.
Jessica: Mom?
Mitch: Jessica.
Jessica: Do I know you?
***********************************************
Keri: This is about the baby's father, isn't it?
Liz: It's about what?
Keri: I know. You think I wouldn't?
Liz: But how? When?
Keri: This is your baby with Steve. This is your precious connection to him, a little part of him that miraculously survived his passing.
Liz: Yeah. You're right.
Keri: And you're afraid that somehow I'll become -- I'll come between you two.
Liz: No, Keri --
Keri: Yes, Mom, and it's natural.
Liz: Honey, no.
Keri: Believe me, Mom, I know this is your baby, yours and Steve’s. I never forgot that for a second.
Liz: Oh, boy. I don't deserve you, Keri.
Keri: Mom, are you kidding me? This baby is the most important thing in the world right now for both of us. This is not the time to start hiding things from each other.
Liz: I know.
Keri: You felt really bad about what happened when I felt the baby move.
Liz: Why? What are you talking about?
Keri: I saw your face when I got so excited. I know you wish you were carrying the baby.
Liz: No. Honey, no.
Keri: Mom, I know you did, and it's only natural.
Liz: Look, Keri, without you, there wouldn't even be a baby. I know that, and I don't forget that for one second.
Keri: Mom, don't worry about me. Every time I feel this baby move, I remember why I'm doing this. I tell him things, you know.
Liz: You do?
Keri: Yeah.
Liz: Like what?
Keri: Like how much his mother's going to love him, how lucky he is, and, of course, all about Steve.
Liz: Oh. I wish Steve where here.
Keri: Well, Steve is here. He's never going to be completely gone now.
Liz: Keri --
Keri: You worry too much. You remember how he used to get on you about that?
Liz: Yeah.
Keri: Mom, I promise you, from the moment this child is born, it's going to be yours. It's going to make me so happy.
Liz: Oh, you are an angel, Sweetheart.
Keri: Oh, hardly. But I am going to be a very devoted big sister.
Liz: Good.
Keri: Hands-on all the way.
Liz: Good. I want that.
Keri: And I promise that I'm going to tell this baby all about his father and, even though he can't be a part of his life, how wonderful he was, how special he was.
***********************************************
Antonio: Well, somebody has to do it. I mean, you know Keri can't lift anything right now.
Hank: Yeah, right. Liz asked me to come by to help. Where is she?
Antonio: She's upstairs with Keri. So, what's going on?
Hank: She wants this stuff up there?
Antonio: Look, Hank, I know your office is still sorting through what happened at Viki's cabin. And I want you to know, even though it was a horrible accident, I will regret what happened for the rest of my life.
Hank: I know that, Antonio.
Antonio: And I'm sorry if your office is taking flak for what I did.
Hank: Look, is -- is that the way you deal with everything? You act first and then you regret it?
Antonio: I -- I thought you understood what happened.
Hank: I understood. I understood you had a lot of things on your mind when you shot Ben Davidson. But you acted rashly, and it just so happens that you put a man into an irreversible coma.
Antonio: Well, wait a minute. I -- I was cleared of any misconduct. Hank, you supported me when Internal Affairs raked me over the coals. Why -- why are you coming down on me about this now?
Hank: Look, it's just a matter of taking responsibility, Antonio.
R.J.: Well, now, what's this I hear?
[R.J. Laughs]
R.J.: Dissension in the ranks of goodness? My, my, my, what is the world coming to?
Hank: R.J., this is none of your business.
R.J.: Hmm. And there's that tone. Come on, you know -- the one you use when you think you're about to nail me for something that I've allegedly done. Well, come on, you got to tell me -- what has Antonio Vega done wrong?
***********************************************
Troy: Wow.
Nora: Okay. I do have something for you, though.
Troy: Oh, you do?
Nora: Here, hold these for a minute. Yeah.
Troy: All right.
Nora: Here we go.
Troy: Word --
Nora: Hmm?
Troy: I don't get it.
Nora: Well, actually, Matthew got one of these for his birthday, so he thought that maybe the kids at the free clinic would like this one.
Troy: Oh, well, how cute is that. Matthew is an amazing kid. You know that?
Nora: Yeah.
Troy: How could he not be with an amazing mother?
Nora: Oh. So sweet. Oh, well, he was a busy little boy, wasn't he?
Troy: Oh. Well, well, he is some speller, huh?
Nora: Yeah, and they all kind of fit nicely, don't they?
Troy: Yeah, they do.
Lindsay: Please, somebody, get me an insulin shot.
[Pager beeps]
Troy: Ooh. Oh, I got to go check on a patient. Are you going to stick around after you see Jen?
Nora: Oh, I thought you'd never ask.
Troy: Ah. I'll see you in a bit.
Nora: Bye.
Lindsay: Hello, Nora.
Nora: Hello, Lindsay. I heard about Jen's miscarriage. I'm very sorry. How's she doing?
Lindsay: How do you think she's doing?
Nora: Well, I know it must be very hard.
Lindsay: No, you don’t.
Nora: I'm actually planning on going to see her. I brought her some flowers.
Lindsay: You think that bringing her flowers is going to make up for what you did?
Nora: Lindsay, don't do this.
Lindsay: She's in here because of you. It's your fault she lost her baby.
***********************************************
Cristian: Oh, thank God. Natalie? Natalie, can you hear me? You're going to be all right, Sweetie. I promise. I'm not going to let anything happen to you.
Natalie: Cristian?
Cristian: Hey, I'm here.
Natalie: What happened?
Cristian: This deer got in front of the car, and I swerved, and we wound up in a ditch. I'm so sorry. I thought I killed you.
Natalie: No, it's not your fault. You didn't want to hit the deer. It might have been worse if we did.
Cristian: I'm so glad you're okay. For a minute there, I thought --
Natalie: No way I'd leave you now.
Cristian: I'm not going to leave you, either. Not ever.
Natalie: I never thought this would be happening.
Cristian: I was so scared. I mean, finally we get a chance to be together, then I almost --
Natalie: Look, we're together now. It's the only thing that matters.
Cristian: I love you, Natalie. All I want is to be with you.
Natalie: Me, too. All I want is you, forever.
***********************************************
Mitch: I'm an old family --
Viki: No, this is Michael Lazarus. We were just talking.
Jessica: Sorry to interrupt.
Viki: That's all right.
Jessica: I just -- I heard Natalie’s back. Have you seen her?
Viki: Yes, Darling, I did see her, and then she went out.
Jessica: Is that why you're here? Did you find my sister?
Viki: Natalie is fine. You don't need to worry about her anymore.
Jessica: Good. Because I had this really strange feeling, Mom, that something awful happened. I --
Viki: Yeah, well -- no, she's actually fine. Um -- why don't you go find Seth?
Jessica: I was just with him. He's got something to do.
Viki: Jessica, go away, please.
Jessica: Okay. Sorry. I didn't mean to barge in. Sorry.
Mitch: Jessica, I apologize for staring. It's just that I haven't seen you for such a very long time.
Jessica: We've met?
Mitch: Oh, yes. We most certainly have.
***********************************************
Cristian: The battery in this thing is so low, I barely got through.
Natalie: So they're going to send a tow truck over right away?
Cristian: Eventually. The guy says they're pretty backed up.
Natalie: Actually, can I use -- can I use your phone? I need to call home.
Cristian: Good luck.
Natalie: What's the use in having one of these things if you're not going to charge it?
Cristian: Sorry. My bad.
Natalie: God, I hope they're not worried about me. I left Michael talking to my mom.
Cristian: Michael. Right.
Natalie: Cristian, I told you, I am not going to stay married to him.
Cristian: I know. It's just --
Natalie: Nothing happened between us.
Cristian: Well, couldn't -- couldn't you have waited at least another day or two before eloping?
Natalie: Look, I didn't think it mattered. I didn't think anything did. We're going to be together now. Nothing's ever going to keep us apart anymore.
Cristian: Do you think your -- I mean Michael -- will let you go that easy?
Natalie: He's a good guy. I mean, all he wants is for me to be happy.
Cristian: I hope you're right.
Natalie: I am. And you'll tell Jen.
Cristian: I'm not looking forward to it. Whoa, but I'm -- I'm going to tell her, believe me. Like you said, nothing's going to keep us apart ever again.
***********************************************
Keri: You feeling a little better?
Liz: Yeah. You're right. You know, I do worry too much.
Keri: I'll make you a deal.
Liz: Hmm.
Keri: I'll stop worrying about you if you put a bid on the house so you can stay here in llanview.
Liz: Now, wait a second. This is going way too fast, Keri. Really, I never even considered moving here.
Keri: What's to consider? It makes total sense.
Liz: No --
Keri: I'm here. Antonio's here. We're going to start a family of our own soon. Our children can grow up together. They'll be best friends. We can be best --
Liz: Chicago is close. It's not far away.
Keri: But, Mom, things have changed. Steve's gone. You know, and it's hard to be a single mom. I saw what you went through with me when I was little.
Liz: I know what I'm in for. And this time, hey, I got money.
Keri: Mom, if you're here, Antonio and I can help you. He's so great with kids. You should see him, Mom. He's incredible.
Liz: Look, we can talk about this a lot after the baby's born. We've -- there's a lot to do here. Will you start unpacking please?
Keri: I didn't realize how much stuff I had at R.J.'s. I guess most of it was in storage in the basement.
Liz: Yeah, and there's sure going to be plenty of room here.
Keri: We're going to make this into a real home.
Liz: It already is now that you're here.
Keri: And, besides, Antonio never felt comfortable coming over to R.J.'s.
Liz: Yeah, I can imagine.
Keri: He's going to be practically living here, though. The four of us are going to be spending a lot of time together.
***********************************************
Antonio: Hank's right. It's none of your business, R.J.
R.J.: Oh, now, Antonio, how are we going to be one, big, happy family if we start out with secrets? So come on -- for the sake of family harmony, what's going on?
Antonio: We'll pick this up at the station.
Hank: I think I've said everything I need to say to you.
Keri: Look at this -- my three favorite men all in the same room.
Hank: Keri, hi.
Keri: What are you guys talking about?
R.J.: About rash acts and taking responsibility.
Keri: What is going on in here?
***********************************************
Jessica: I apologize. I don't remember meeting you.
Mitch: Well, you were just a little baby, only a few days old.
Viki: Mr. Lazarus has been gone for years.
Jessica: So how do you two know each other?
Mitch: We're friends. Although, actually, the word "friend" barely describes our relationship, does it, Viki?
Viki: Sweetheart, it's very late, and Mr. Lazarus and I have a lot to talk about. Do you mind?
Jessica: Not at all. I wanted to actually show you what Dad sent me.
Viki: Now?
Jessica: Here.
Mitch: That's very lovely.
Jessica: It's me and my dad. Well, wait. You've known me since I was a little girl? You know my father, then, right?
Mitch: As well as I know my own self.
Viki: It's lovely. I think you should find a nice place for it -- upstairs.
Jessica: Okay. Sorry to interrupt. It was really nice meeting you.
Mitch: It was very special for me, as well, Jessica. Well, we certainly have a beautiful young daughter.
Viki: She is my daughter! Mine and Clint’s!
Mitch: Still in denial? Let it in, Viki. Let it in. I know you remember the night we created her.
Viki: You raped me.
Mitch: No, no, no.
Viki: Yes, you did. You raped me. You drugged me, and then you raped me. And that does not prove that she's yours.
Mitch: All the proof you need is inside you, Viki. You've known it all along. Now, let's talk about that day -- the day I claimed my child.
***********************************************
Antonio: Nothing. We were just trying to out-macho each other.
Keri: Well, there's plenty of that to go around.
Hank: Yeah, well, listen. Why don't -- you know, Keri’s right. Why don't we just all put a sock in it and try to work together?
Liz: Yeah. You know, actually, we're about done here, so thanks for coming.
Antonio: Yeah, this is -- this is actually the rest of Keri’s stuff right here.
R.J.: No, no, no -- not quite. This was still on your bed.
Keri: Oh! Antonio won this for me at the fair.
R.J.: Well -- shooting gallery?
Keri: Thank you, RJ. You know, since you're not letting me lift anything, why don't you come help me bring some things upstairs?
Antonio: Okay. See you later.
R.J.: Mm-hmm.
Liz: Well, you know, actually, we're about done here, so you don't have to stay.
R.J.: Oh, but I just got here. Oh, I get it. It's time for you two to share secrets.
***********************************************
Nora: What happened to Jen is very sad. But I have a hard time believing even you can imagine I had something to do with it -- especially since I wasn't even there when it happened.
Lindsay: You set the whole thing in motion. If it weren't for what you did, none of this would've happened.
Nora: What I did? Oh, you got to explain this one because now I'm fascinated.
Lindsay: You just couldn't let it go. You had to have that confession so badly you got Troy to humiliate me.
Nora: Oh, God. Here we go.
Lindsay: It's your fault I was in prison when my daughter needed me.
Nora: Wait a second. Let's go back to how I caused the miscarriage.
Lindsay: It's not the first time you caused someone to lose their baby, is it, now, Nora?
Nora: Oh, Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay.
Lindsay: If I had been free, I would have been able to help Jen prevent the mistakes that led up to her getting pregnant.
Nora: Mistakes? I thought Cristian and Jen were very happy about this baby.
Lindsay: How would you know? You think Jen would ever trust you with her feelings after what you've done to this family?
Nora: Oh. Weren't you the one that said let bygones be bygones?
Lindsay: You want to know why it's your fault? Because my daughter did things that I could have talked her out of. But now she's lying here in a hospital bed, devastated. She's too young to go through something like this. She's never going to be the same.
Nora: No. But she will survive, Lindsay. She's a strong girl.
Lindsay: Because she's had to be. She's had to grow up so fast because of you -- because you traded her life for your warped idea of justice.
Nora: You know what? I didn't start this. You did when you drugged me.
Lindsay: I never would have done that if you hadn't stolen every man that ever loved me.
Nora: Oh, my God, the same old song. Aren't you tired of that by now? Now I'm almost sorry that Troy didn't take that job out of town. Then we wouldn't have to listen to your pathetic martyr mantra. Thank God.
Lindsay: Job?
Nora: You know what? I may not be able to stop you taking off after me every time you see me, but you know what? I can end the conversation.
Lindsay: What job?
***********************************************
Natalie: It's weird, isn't it, how we keep winding up together every time we say it's over?
Cristian: Yeah, every time we needed each other, we wound up at the quarry.
Natalie: Maybe it's fate.
Cristian: You think?
Natalie: Michael kept talking about it. I didn't believe him at first, but maybe he was right. Maybe it's real.
Cristian: Well, here we are now.
Natalie: Yeah. Well, he thought that my fate was -- it doesn't matter. He's not a part of my fate. You are. You always were. That's why we found each other tonight.
Cristian: I know what you mean.
Natalie: You think maybe we were supposed to crash? I mean, we weren't hurt. And we got to spend all this time together before we have to go deal with the other people in our lives. Do you believe in fate, Cristian?
Cristian: I do now.
***********************************************
Viki: Are you talking about the day that Jessica was born?
Mitch: And Natalie. Natalie was born first.
Viki: Yes. But you made quite sure that I didn't remember giving birth to a second baby.
Mitch: Well, I did put a little something in your tea, but that's not why you don't remember. You don't want to. You're blocking it out.
Viki: No. No, you are stark raving mad. You don't know what you're talking about.
Mitch: It's been lurking there in the last corner of your mind ever since the day Natalie showed up and Allison Perkins came back into your life.
Viki: No.
Mitch: Yes, Viki. You see, I've been keeping an eye out for you. I know what you've been through. I know how Niki came out and just taunted you with a terrible secret. Something so frightening, you couldn't let it in. And how they -- they shipped you off to Switzerland for psychiatric care. And you've been struggling so, so hard, so valiantly to remember what Niki won't show you. But you just can't. It's just -- just out of reach. Just locked away somewhere in that fragile, complicated mind of yours. And no one's been able to help you. But, Viki, I can. That's why I'm here. Because I know exactly what happened that day. Ever last detail.
Viki: No! No, I don't remember it, and I don't want to!
Mitch: But, Viki, the best is yet to come.
Viki: No, stop this! I don't – I don't want to hear any more, and I don't want to remember!
Mitch: You have to. Whether you like it or not, you will remember everything. Now, you do remember when your first baby was born, don't you?
[Baby cries]
Mitch: You were overjoyed when you gave birth to a perfectly healthy little girl. Clint was so proud of both of you. But then Clint went outside to spread the happy news. You remember now.
Viki: No, he was only gone a few moments.
Mitch: No, more like half an hour. Just long enough for dear Dr. Balsom to do what he had to do.
Viki: No, don’t. Don’t.
Mitch: Don't fight it, Viki. It's all coming back to you now.
Viki: Dr. Balsom, what's wrong? What's happening to me?
[Baby cries]
Dr. Balsom: Viki, you're having a second baby. You have twins.
Viki: What?
Mitch: Yes, Viki, another baby. That's right, Viki. I was there. I was there when our baby was born.
***********************************************
Lindsay: Hey, I see you got my message.
Troy: Oh, that was you? Who helped you with the spelling?
Lindsay: That's very funny. I just had a nice talk with Nora.
Troy: Oh, yeah? What'd you say to her?
Lindsay: Oh, don't worry. I didn't say anything about how you pretended to be your psycho brother and slept with your wife, tormenting her into thinking that she was the one who was unfaithful, and then finally driving her to a horrible death by drowning while you stood by and did nothing.
Troy: That's not the way it happened, Lindsay.
Lindsay: I also didn't get to the part where you did the same thing to me -- pretending to be Colin and ruining my life.
Troy: You gave me no choice.
Lindsay: You give me no choice now, Troy.
Troy: You having fun with this, Lindsay?
Lindsay: Yeah, I am. I'm really more interested, though, in what Nora just told me. Congratulations, by the way, on that job offer. But aren't you a little old to be running away from home?
Troy: I'm not running anywhere. I'm going to be right here, Lindsay, with Nora.
Lindsay: Oh, well, that's risky business.
Troy: Tell you what -- why don't you do whatever you have to do because I am going to do whatever I have to do to keep Nora in my life.
Lindsay: Oh, brother.
Troy: You know, I would tell Nora about Joanna myself, but I'm just not ready to lose her yet. So for now, I'm going to let you call the shots.
Lindsay: You're going to let me?
Troy: That's right. Come on, Lindsay. I could end this game anytime I wanted. But, you see, this way, I get to spend a little bit more time with Nora.
Lindsay: No, Troy. This game is over. Your time is up.
Troy: No, it's not over, Lindsay, and you know why? Because you enjoy torturing me too much. But that's okay because eventually you're going to get tired of your own little game, and then you'll tell Nora, and that day will be one of the saddest days of my life.
Lindsay: Sadder than the day Joanna died?
Troy: I can't stop you, Lindsay. You're the winner. Nora and I are going to be miserable.
Lindsay: I can't believe you're admitting that I am controlling your life.
Troy: Come on, Lindsay. You already knew that. But here's one thing you didn't know -- and I want to make this very clear to you -- there is something that you will never be able to do.
***********************************************
Keri: What was going on downstairs? You guys looked like you were about to kill each other.
Antonio: I -- I was -- I was talking to Hank and -- and R.J. heard us. And as usual, he insisted on putting his two cents in.
Keri: I thought R.J. and Hank were starting to get along.
Antonio: Well, it seems a lot better than it's been in a while -- thanks to you.
Keri: I guess I just always have this idea of what a family is supposed to look like, you know? Mom and Dad, together forever. Brothers and sisters always there for each other. That's what it's going to be like for my little brother or sister.
Antonio: Oh, it -- it already is.
Keri: I just wish my mom would buy this place and stay here, you know, so he or she can have a real family.
Antonio: Yeah, you know, maybe we should finish unpacking before it gets too late. You know, you could give that to the baby if you want.
Keri: Oh, no. This little guy -- when we weren't together, I used to talk to him all the time. I used to pretend he was you. I can't believe I just told you that.
[Keri chuckles]
Antonio: You know what? Very soon, you and I are going to be together every single day and every single night.
Keri: Yes, very soon. We can be married just as soon as the baby's born.
***********************************************
Liz: Hank and I don't have any secrets.
R.J.: No? No, not now. I guess I was just remembering that good old brother Henry knew I had a daughter for over 20 years and never bothered to tell me. Or maybe it was that he somehow knew that you and Keri were going to move in here before I did. But then, what, I hear that he even helped you find the place.
Liz: That wasn't a secret, R.J., okay?
R.J.: Well, maybe I'm a little sensitive because every time I turn around, I find you two with your heads together whispering. So, what big secret could you possibly have now? Well, got to fly. Tell Keri I'll call her later.
[Door closes]
Liz: What did you talk to antonio about? Did you tell him that he's the father of my baby?
Hank: No, I didn't. But I wanted to.
Liz: You promised me!
Hank: Look, I walked in here and I see the man half-dressed. Now, what was I supposed to think? I didn't know Keri was here.
Liz: Oh. There is nothing going on between me and Antonio! Come on!
Hank: Except that you're having a baby together. I mean, that's pretty hard to forget, even if you don't think so.
Liz: Please, Hank.
Hank: Liz, it's true. I mean, I see the man like this, and I have a few choice words that I wanted to say to him. But I didn't and I won’t.
Liz: Thank you.
Hank: Yeah.
Liz: You and I are the only ones who know.
Hank: For now. Look, Antonio is a detective, and he's a damn good one. It's his job to get to the truth.
***********************************************
Viki: You were there.
Mitch: Hmm. And I can still remember the look on your face. It was quite a surprise, wasn't it? You lay there spent, and I told you everything. It was the most delicious moment of my entire life. I told you all about our stolen night together and about how one of your babies was Clint’s but the other was mine.
Viki: You are a monster. You stole one of my children.
Mitch: You're still blocking it out, aren't you, even with the truth staring you in the face?
Viki: What truth? What are you talking about?
Mitch: Well, I guess I can't blame you for not remembering. I wouldn't want to, either, if I were you.
Viki: Why? What did you do?
Mitch: Oh, Viki. It's not what I did. It's what you did.
***********************************************
Antonio: Ah -- I got to go before I get carried away.
Keri: That's what the "Do not disturb" sign is for.
Antonio: You're not making this easy. I have to go by the station.
Keri: Why?
Antonio: Hmm. Don't tempt me.
Keri: Fine. When you do go, talk to Hank if you see him.
Antonio: Oh -- what?
Keri: Well, whatever was going on down there wasn't between Hank and R.J. Are you and Hank fighting about something?
Antonio: Not -- not that I know about.
Keri: Well, it's just not like Hank to get mad at somebody out of the blue.
Antonio: You're right. You're right. It's not like Hank at all.
***********************************************
Liz: There's no crime here. There's no clues for Antonio to find. So as long as you and I don't say anything, he's not even going to have any reason to even question the paternity of my baby.
Hank: Well, don't worry because they're not going to find out from me. But I've sent a lot of people to prison because someone stumbled on some evidence that no one was even looking for. Now, sometimes it takes years, but the truth does come out sooner or later.
Liz: Not this time.
Hank: You remember how hard you tried to keep the fact that R.J. was Keri’s father a secret? That didn't work.
Liz: Keri can't find out what went on with Antonio and me, Hank. I'd lose her forever.
Hank: And it would destroy Antonio and Keri, which in my book is even worse because a true love like theirs -- it only comes once in a lifetime.
***********************************************
Cristian: I can't wait till we, you know, settle everything so that we can be together -- be really together.

Lindsay: Why don't you tell me, Troy, what it is I'm never going to be able to do?
Troy: You can't ever make me stop loving her. It doesn't matter what you do to me, Lindsay. You can turn Nora against me. You can wreck our future together. But you can never change the way that I feel about Nora.

Nora: Jessica? Everything all right?
Jessica: Hi. Oh -- yeah. I just came to see Jen. Heard about the baby.
Nora: I know. It's so sad.
Jessica: It's awful. We're not that close, but I figured maybe -- maybe she'd like to talk to me, you know, since I lost my baby, too. It's not an easy thing.
Nora: No. Hey, I haven't seen you since you found out Viki's your real mother after all.
Jessica: Oh. Yeah. Can I show you something?
Nora: Yeah.
Jessica: This is where I was born.
Nora: Here?
Jessica: Right here. I know -- it sounds silly, but I've walked by this room a million times, never thought twice about it. But now, since I thought I was never even born in Llanview, this means so much to me. This is where I became who I am -- Jessica Buchanan, Clint and Viki's daughter.

Viki: Don't touch me! You stay away from me.
Mitch: I'm sorry, Viki. I have to stay here until you admit the truth.
Viki: The truth? The truth is that you stole Jessica!
Mitch: I didn't steal her. Think about it. This was Niki’s big secret. Do you know what happened next?
Viki: No!
Mitch: I had to take my child and get away.
Viki: How would you even know which one --
Mitch: Oh, I knew which one was mine. Dr. Balsom made sure of that while you were still pregnant. Make no mistake -- we have a child together. Dr. Balsom took the first baby, Natalie, to the prenatal unit. And you -- you were holding the second child, our child, in your arms.
Viki: I won't let you.
Mitch: Yes, Viki.
Viki: No! No, you can't! No! No!
Mitch: You see, Niki was keeping something from you. But now the secret is finally out. You did nothing to stop me. You let me take your child.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Lindsay: I can't destroy Nora’s world only to have her go back to Sam.
Viki: Why would you take one child and then switch her for the other?
Jen: Go find Cristian and tell him I need to see him right away.
Cristian: I waited so long for this.
Natalie: Me, too.
