One Life to Live Transcript Tuesday 11/19/02
Previously on "One Life to Live" --
Emily: What was the big trick that you played that night? What exactly happened?
Nora: Blair gave him custody? What, is she crazy?
Todd: Oh, you walked right into that one.
Sam: Shut up.
Cristian: You knew that the only reason I was marrying Jen was because of the baby, but there is no baby.
Michael: Tell me more about this Mitch Laurence.
Natalie: All I know is that he hated my mother.
Nora: No -- somebody help, please!
Nora: Sam.
***********************************************
Todd: That's it, huh?
Sam: Let go of me.
Todd: Is that your best shot?
Sam: Let go of me!
Todd: Words kind of failed you this time, didn't they, Counselor?
Sam: You listen to me --
Todd: No, you listen to me. Blair lost her marbles, and then she lost her children, and there's nothing you or anybody else can do about it. Isn't it funny how things just kind of change on a dime around here, Counselor?
***********************************************
Emily: How did Joanna die?
Troy: I loved her so much, Emily.
Emily: I know you did. Anyone could see that. And she loved you, too.
Troy: Yeah, she did. We couldn't stand to be apart.
Emily: She was so beautiful.
Troy: Yeah. Yeah, she was. Maybe that's why I was so jealous, you know? God, I didn't want to be, Emily. I didn’t. I know that jealousy was always colin's thing, you know. He was always so jealous and so possessive about everything.
Emily: He had his demons.
Troy: Do you know how many times I wish I had never -- never even known Colin? How many times I wish I had never even been born his twin? God, things would have been so -- things would have been so different with Joanna.
Emily: I don't understand. You -- how is Colin responsible for Joanna’s death?
Troy: You want to know what Colin has to do with Joanna’s death?
Troy: Everything.
***********************************************
Viki: You got married?
Natalie: Yeah.
Viki: When?
Natalie: Well, last night. We flew off to Vegas, and we had this wonderful ceremony. It was very official.
Viki: Who did you marry? Did you marry Seth?
Natalie: No, of course not.
Viki: Who did you marry?
Natalie: Well, you don't know him, but I know that you're going to like him. That much I do know. You're going to love him just as much as I do.
***********************************************
Michael: You seem perturbed. Was it something I said?
Cristian: Yeah. You said you were very close with Natalie. Now, what is that supposed to mean?
Michael: That seems simple enough.
Cristian: You hardly know her.
Michael: Maybe you should take this matter up with Natalie.
Cristian: I'm taking it up with you.
Michael: Well, I don't have time for your idle curiosity. I need to prepare.
Cristian: For what?
Michael: I'm meeting Natalie’s mother in a few minutes, and I'm going to change her life forever.
***********************************************
Emily: I don't understand, Troy. Was Colin involved in Joanna’s death?
Troy: Look -- let's start at the beginning. Here, sit down. You remember how Joanna and I were with each other, right?
Emily: Yeah. You were so in love. You adored everything about her. I remember hoping that one day I'd be that much in love.
Troy: Oh, Emily, be careful what you wish for. We argued a lot, too, remember?
Emily: Of course. Over just about anything.
Troy: Yeah. We were constantly battling for control, you know? That didn't stop when I got to Africa.
Emily: You still fought?
Troy: Yeah. No. No, actually, not at first. Actually, at first, everything was perfect. We didn't fight at all. We had found this great place. It was incredible. It was on the cliffs. It was overlooking the Zambezi River. We had so much fun decorating it. You know Joanna. I mean, she just threw herself into it. God, I wanted to share everything with her. I wanted to share all my hopes and my dreams. I wanted to tell her about my family, about you, about Mom and Dad. And about Colin.
Emily: But she'd never met Colin, had she? I mean, he wouldn't even come to your wedding.
Troy: No. No, Colin and I -- well, you know, we had been estranged for a few years, since even before Joanna and I started dating. But Joanna definitely knew.
Emily: That he wasn't -- he wasn't a very nice person sometimes.
Troy: Yeah. Yeah. And I told Joanna how close Colin and I were as kids, how, you know, we sometimes switched identities just for kicks.
Emily: So things were going pretty well for you in Africa.
Troy: Things were going so well that I never saw it coming.
***********************************************
Cristian: Are you nuts or something? What are you talking about? How are you going to change Mrs. Davidson's life forever?
Michael: You really are quite persistent, aren't you?
Cristian: Just answer the question.
Michael: If that is your wish, fine. Viki Davidson -- and a few others, no doubt -- are in for a bit of a shock. You see, last night, Natalie and I were married.
***********************************************
Natalie: Mom, try and keep an open mind, okay? I mean, it's not like I married some stranger off the street.
Viki: Natalie, who did you marry?
Natalie: A friend of mine. His name is Michael, Michael Lazarus.
Viki: Michael. That's the man who helped you decide to stay in Llanview?
Natalie: Yes. And now we're husband and wife.
Viki: You just met him.
Natalie: But I've known him for a few weeks, and he's --
Viki: Natalie, how could you marry somebody you just met? How could you marry anyone at all right now?
Natalie: So, what, are you saying that it's that impossible to believe that someone wants to marry me?
Viki: No, that's not what I said at all. Natalie, I know how much you love Cristian. And I know that Cristian married Jen yesterday.
Natalie: So you're saying that I got married on the rebound, right? Well, okay, go ahead and say it. You're right. It's true.
Viki: Sweetheart.
Natalie: It's true. I am on the rebound. But that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Viki: Natalie, listen to yourself.
Natalie: Okay, Mom, just slow down for a minute, okay? Let me see if I can explain this. Yes, I am still hurting about Cristian, and I don't know when that's going to go away, if ever. It might take a long time.
Viki: Exactly. All the more reason for you not to get involved --
Natalie: Hear me out, okay? The thing is -- okay, I don't have Cristian. And thanks to Michael, I can move on. You know? My world isn't over because I lost Cris. Now I have a great future to look forward to.
Viki: Do you?
Natalie: I have someone who wants to be with me, laugh with me, grow old with me.
Viki: Well, that's all very, very nice. Do you love him? Do you love him the way you love Cristian?
Natalie: No. No, of course not. But I like him a whole lot --
Viki: Oh, Natalie.
Natalie: And I respect him and I care about him.
Viki: Natalie, Sweetheart!
Natalie: Mom, I have someone now. I'm not alone. And I think that's great -- to have someone that cares about me.
Viki: You do not need to be married, to have someone just so that you can feel loved and worthwhile.
Natalie: He's so wonderful. What, are you saying that you're not going to support my marriage when you haven't even met him yet? Come on, Mom. Look, I know this is all sudden and you're kind of in shock, but come on. I need you to support me on this.
Viki: No. I'm sorry, I can’t.
***********************************************
Todd: Well, I'll see you around. I got to go now and spend some time with my kids. They're really looking forward to spending some time with their father.
Sam: Fine. Go. Get out of my face.
Todd: If I were you, Sam, I would spend a little time myself trying to figure out what's really bothering you.
Sam: What's bothering me? I'll tell you what's bothering me. You have Starr and Jack, which is the last thing Blair wanted, and she's helpless to stop you.
Todd: See, I think you're blowing fuses because you know that you screwed up.
Sam: What the hell are you talking about?
Todd: You were bragging every day of the week about how you were going to look after Blair. Some big hero you were. You're telling her to stay away from me? You couldn't stop this from happening, could you?
Sam: I mean it. Get out.
Todd: When she published those articles, was there a big round of applause from you? Did you sit her down and give her a really long, boring speech about how proud you were of her? You didn't even stop to think about how this would set the mob after her.
Nora: Okay, no one's doing any --
Todd: She almost gets killed. She goes totally nuts. She gets shipped off to Swiss cheese country. And you want to blame me? Take a long, hard look at yourself, Sam. Look really long and hard at what you've done.
Nora: All right, you've said your piece. Now go. Go.
Todd: You know I'm right. If Blair were with me, none of this would've happened.
Sam: Just let me go. I'm fine.
Nora: Are you okay?
[Nora gasps]
Nora: All right, you need to get control of your anger because you have a daughter who needs you. She's in the hospital after having a miscarriage.
Sam: I'll be fine, and I'll make sure Jen's fine. But I'll be damned if I let Todd get away with this.
Nora: Don't go there, Sam.
Sam: What happened to Blair is so horrible, I can't even -- and he's using this to steal her kids from her!
Nora: Yeah, but you can't go beating up on him.
Sam: Okay, I mean, he doesn't even belong anywhere near her. I don't care what the courts say.
Nora: I'm sorry you don't care what the courts say. But what they --
Sam: There's no buts, Nora. There's no buts. Now, come on. Look me in the eyes and tell me that you could live with something this wrong.
***********************************************c
Troy: My work was going so great; so great that I had never felt so appreciated as a doctor and -- and a person. I'll never forget the day the Masai chief gave me the amulet. Emily, I was so proud. And it wasn't just because I had cured him. It was because I was finally accepted as a person. But unfortunately, by then Joanna had already began to hate Africa. She wanted to go back to the states. But I wouldn't listen to her. I knew Joanna loved me. I knew she would never leave me, so I figured I could have both -- I could have Joanna and I could have Africa. Oh, God, I was so arrogant.
Emily: What happened? I mean, if she wanted to go home but you wouldn't agree --
Troy: Well, Joanna did the only thing she could do. She knew it would drive me nuts anytime that she paid attention to another man, so she made sure she paid attention to every man that would come near her. She knew what she was doing. She knew she was torturing me. As soon as she realized that I was helpless, she just kept on doing it. Finally, we had a huge fight, and I yelled at her. I said, "Joanna, you got to stop it." She looked at me right in the face, and she just laughed at me. She laughed at me, and she said, "If you want me to stop --"
Joanna: Make me.
Troy: "You got to make me stop." I knew that she loved me. I knew -- I knew it. But I couldn't control my jealousy. And she just kept torturing me. And then --
Emily: Then what?
Troy: And then that's when Colin came into the picture. Things were never the same again.
***********************************************
Cristian: Yeah, right. You and Natalie married.
Michael: Why? What's so strange about that? You got married yesterday, didn't you?
Jen: I know we didn't get married and I lost my baby.
Cristian: Natalie hardly knows you.
Michael: Really?
Cristian: Why would she marry you? And you hardly know her. Why would you marry her?
***********************************************
Natalie: I don't believe this. I'm married, and you're just going to slam the door before you've even met the guy?
Viki: All right, I heard you out. Now you have to let me speak, okay?
Natalie: No, I think you've said it all.
Viki: Natalie, I would like to support you. I always want to support you because I love you. But I cannot, not in this.
Natalie: Why not?
Viki: Why? Because marriage is an enormous step and it's too soon.
Natalie: Look, don't you think that I know that? You know, but sometimes you have to let go, Mom. I think that Michael and I -- we actually have a shot at being happy here for the rest of our lives. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done it.
Viki: You know what? I'm so angry with myself now. If I hadn't been so wrapped up in my own problems, I might have seen this coming. Damn Mitch Laurence!
Natalie: I know he hurt you badly.
Viki: Well, he hurt you, too.
Natalie: Yeah, no kidding. If Mitch is the one who brainwashed Allison Perkins to switch the babies and I ended up getting raised by Roxy -- I mean, hey, if he were alive, I'd help you strangle him right now, but -- what is that, a photograph?
Viki: Yes.
Natalie: May I see it?
***********************************************
Starr: What's going on? Why won't you answer any of my questions? Where's Mom?
Todd: I got a new crib for Jack. I put it upstairs.
Hedy: Very good, Sir.
Starr: Dad, I'm not stupid, okay? Something's wrong. And if you don't tell me what's going on right now, then I'm going to have to start screaming.
Todd: It's just going to be us from now on.
Starr: What do you mean, it's going to be just us? What about Mom?
Todd: Hedy, take Jack upstairs, put him down for his nap. Then take the rest of the day off. Use the back door when you leave.
Hedy: Yes, Sir.
Todd: All right, I need for you to listen to this very carefully because it's -- well, it's hard for anybody to even understand.
***********************************************
Sam: Listen, listen -- just tell me -- if you were in my shoes, could you live with this?
Nora: No, I probably couldn’t. But there's nothing you can do. The judge has already made the decision that Jack and Starr are supposed to live with Todd.
Sam: Yeah, who belongs in prison.
Nora: I know that Blair didn't want them to live with Todd, but she's -- she's mentally incapacitated, at least for right now.
Sam: Permanently.
Nora: No, there's not a psychiatrist in the world who could make that statement. Well, I mean, if you look at her family history, I'm sure they would think that, but -- Sam, there's nothing you can do. You have to concentrate on Jen now. She needs you. She needs you to be strong, and she needs you to be calm. There's nothing you can do about Todd, so don't even think about him.
Sam: I have to go.
Nora: No, Sam, please. Let me buy you a drink. Sam, don't do something you'll regret. Sam –
***********************************************
Emily: What did Colin have to do with Joanna’s death?
Troy: We were fighting constantly then, and it was just about that time that I got a letter from Colin. He said that he was sorry for all the problems that he caused me and that his marriage to Lanie was on the rocks and that he wanted to come to Africa. And in a strange way, I wanted him to come.
Emily: Why?
Troy: I guess I wanted him to see how successful I was, you know. I wanted him to meet my beautiful wife. When I went to tell Joanna that Colin was coming, she just got mad at me. And she yelled at me and she said that if I didn't start paying attention to what she wanted that she would make me live to regret it. And once again, I didn't listen to her.
Emily: What did she do?
Troy: She did the same thing she did before. She just drove me crazy, flirting with any man that would listen to her, any man that would come near her. It was a couple days after that that I got another telegram from Colin. He said he wasn't coming to Africa after all and that apparently he had a chance to reconcile things with Lanie and that he was going to take it. But when I went to tell Joanna, I found her with someone in our bedroom. Now, of course, I knew it was all a setup. I knew it was just another one of her games. But in that moment, something just snapped. I couldn't help myself. It was more than just simple jealousy or anger. Something dark inside of me began to take over, and I knew that this time I wasn't going to just get mad, I was going to get even.
Emily: By flirting with other women?
Troy: No. No, I took it to a whole new level. The next night, I came home in different clothes. I parted my hair different. I even took off the amulet that I always wore. She called out to me. She asked if it was me.
Joanna: Troy, is that you?
Troy: I said it was. And then I went into the bedroom. I didn't speak. She was surprised that I was so forceful. I just made it seem that all I wanted was her. Then, afterwards, she grew curious. She kept asking me what was going on. She asked me about my hair. She asked me about the clothes.
Joanna: What happened to your amulet, hmm?
Troy: Finally she noticed that I wasn't wearing the amulet. No.
Joanna: No?
Troy: No, Troy's wearing it. That's when I told her that I wasn't Troy, I was Colin. I'm not Troy. She was horrified. I'm Colin. And now I got to ask you because the fans want to know -- how does it feel to make love to your husband's twin brother? I wouldn't stop. I was merciless -- just the way she'd been when she was flirting. She was crazy with guilt. She loved me. She never even thought about being unfaithful to me. She ran from the room. Joanna! I yelled for her to relax. I told her it was just a game, just like the games that she'd been playing with me. She was already gone. I tried to catch up to her. She thought she'd betrayed me. I screamed that I loved her and that I was sorry. Joanna, come back! That's when I heard her scream.
[Joanna screams]
Troy: Joanna! Our house was really close to the cliffs, and she fell off the cliffs and she died. I killed her.
Emily: Troy, listen to me. Joanna's death- it was still an accident.
Troy: Yeah. Yeah, that's what the authorities said. That's how it was recorded. It was recorded as an accident, not murder.
Emily: Because it wasn't a murder.
Troy: Oh, come on, Emily. Come on. I was so jealous and so angry that I didn't just get mad, Emily. I got even.
Emily: Come on, Troy. Please don't do this to yourself.
Troy: I got even. Joanna was dead. The one person that I loved more than anything in this world was dead because of me.
Emily: I'm so sorry.
Troy: I was so numb. You know, I couldn't feel anything. I went out to the bars and I got drunk. And I told anybody who would listen about what I did.
Emily: We always knew that Joanna had drowned, but --
Troy: No, Emily, Joanna didn't drown. The cliffs were high. It was a long fall.
Emily: I wish I could've been there to help you.
Troy: No. You wouldn't have liked being around me then. I didn't have any feelings. There was no more anger. There was no more jealousy. There was no more getting even. The only thing I wanted to do was help people. But after that, Africa was never the same.
Emily: So when Colin died and you came back to the states --
Troy: I figured that I could take some of the money that Colin had left and I could try and make up for what he did. Who knows -- maybe I figured I could try and make up a little for what I did, too.
Emily: I bet you never thought you'd fall in love again.
Troy: No. No. Then Nora saved my life.
Emily: You were on some stairs, right, and you were going to fall?
Troy: Yeah, and she saved my life. Something inside of me just opened up. She saved my life in another way, too.
Emily: I'm so glad that you found her.
Troy: Yeah. Me, too. After I met her, I realized that I could love somebody else just as much as I loved Joanna, but without all the -- without any of the anger or the jealousy or the bad feelings, but just with love, you know?
Emily: I am sure that she feels the same way.
Troy: I hope so. And when I finally got Lindsay to confess, I knew that I had finally gotten the justice that Nora deserved, you know? I knew -- I knew in my heart that I could be good for Nora.
Emily: Oh, you are.
Troy: I knew that I could take all of the mistakes and everything that I learned from my mistakes with Joanna and I had another chance to do it all over again. You know, it was like the skies opened up for me and I had a second chance. I don't know if I deserved it.
Emily: Oh, yes, you do.
Troy: But I know how happy she makes me, and I don't ever want to let her go.
Emily: Then don’t.
Nora: Don't what?
***********************************************
Viki: No, we need to talk about this marriage, so let's not get sidetracked, okay?
Natalie: I don't think that there's anything else that we need to talk about. You're angry that I'm married, but you know what? I am not going to let that ruin my day. Today is a great day all day.
Viki: Okay, Natalie, Sweetheart, you got married on an impulse, and it's been, what, less than a day. Any lawyer will tell you you can get an annulment --
Natalie: Okay, I don't want an annulment. I don't even want to talk about an annulment. Okay? I am happy that I married Michael.
Viki: You know what? I can understand why you did something like this -- because you're devastated because you lost Cristian. What I cannot understand is how a man who supposedly cares about you would agree to this wedding!
Natalie: Because he loves me.
Viki: No, if he loved you, Natalie, he would be thinking about you and about what you've been through. But, no, he just took advantage of the situation.
Natalie: No, he didn’t.
Viki: Do you have a prenuptial agreement?
Natalie: What?
Viki: I'm assuming he knows that you are a very, very wealthy young woman.
Natalie: Look, okay, I understand where you're coming from. I mean, I would be suspicious if Jessica or some other girl from school came to me with this story.
Viki: Thank you.
Natalie: But it's because you haven't met Michael. He's -- he's so different than anyone I know.
Viki: Natalie, Sweetheart, this is not just about Michael, okay?
Natalie: Of course it's about Michael because I'm married to him. And you're going to see that he's -- I mean, he's so centered and religious and -- you know what? Why don't you go see for yourself?
Viki: See what?
Natalie: Michael. He's here in the house. He's waiting to meet you.
***********************************************
Cristian: You don't marry someone you've just met. Not unless you're after money.
Michael: Those who follow the true path have no need for worldly possessions.
Cristian: Right. And if you think I'm going to believe one word that comes out of your mouth, then you really are nuts. Let's see what Natalie has to say.
Michael: She's going to tell you the same thing I just did.
Cristian: Yeah, what, that you're married?
Michael: You know, instead of running around demanding answers from everyone else, shouldn't you be searching your own soul?
Cristian: My soul?
Michael: Examine your heart, Cristian. Why are you here in Natalie’s home when you have a wife waiting for you in your own? A wife with child, if I'm not mistaken. What, nothing to say?
Cristian: You think you know everything about me, don't you?
Michael: Perhaps.
Cristian: Well, you don’t. I got to find Natalie.
Michael: Why? So you can break her heart again, rub salt in the wound? You practically destroyed her when you cast her out. But with my help -- her husband's help -- she's going to recover quite nicely.
Cristian: Her husband?
Michael: Correct.
Cristian: You are so full of it, man.
Michael: All right, deny it all you like. Fantasize if you wish. I know in your heart you lust after my wife, but please know this as well -- you have hurt her for the last time. And whatever it was you think you had with her, it is over. You will not have Natalie. You will not be with Natalie ever.
***********************************************
Emily: Nora, hi.
Nora: Hi.
Emily: I was just telling Troy not to worry about me. I'll be fine.
Nora: Why is he worried?
Emily: Oh, he's just being a big brother. They tend to do that sometimes. Think more about yourself and what you need to do.
Troy: Right.
Emily: I'll see you guys later.
Nora: Bye. Take care, Em.
Troy: See you later. Oh, I am so glad that you're here.
Nora: Oh. There's no place else I'd rather be. Talk about a day, huh?
Troy: You know what?
Nora: What?
Troy: Actually, I had a heck of a day, too.
Nora: You did?
Troy: Yeah. I -- I actually got the most incredible job opportunity.
Nora: Really?
Troy: Yeah. In fact, it's so good that it's even worth giving up the clinic for.
Nora: Where is this? Here in Llanview?
Troy: No, no, no. Actually, it's in Boston. Yeah. And, well, we have to leave right away, but it'll be great. You know, we'll find a great apartment up there -- maybe somewhere near Harvard or --
Nora: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey -- hello, Troy. I can't just pick up and move to Boston.
Troy: Why not? They have lawyers in Boston, too, you know.
Nora: I know they have lawyers in Boston, Sweetie. But I have Matthew, and I can't just up and move with Matthew and separate him from Sam.
Troy: Right.
Nora: I wouldn't want to do that.
Troy: You're right. Of course.
Nora: But tell me about this job. I mean, is it a wonderful career opportunity? I mean, we could work something out, long-distance relationship for a while --
Troy: No. You know what? No, no, no, no.
Nora: What?
Troy: Never mind. Look, I would never leave you and Matthew, okay? I would never even think of it.
Nora: Wait a minute. Is this a good career opportunity?
Troy: Nora, let's just forget about it, okay? Let's just forget about it. It's not like we can just get up and disappear, right?
Nora: Well, wait a minute. I don't want to wreck this. I don't want to --
Troy: Nora --
Nora: I want you to think about this. No, listen. Boston's not that far.
Troy: Hey, okay, listen to me. I don't even -- I don't even like Boston, okay? I don't even -- it's too cold in the winter.
Nora: Are you sure you don't want to think about this?
Troy: Yeah. I'm positive.
Troy: What's that for?
Nora: For being you. It's not every day that a girl gets a guy turning down a job offer because his girlfriend doesn't want to move.
Troy: I would never want to do anything to lose you and Matthew.
Nora: Wow, what a guy.
Troy: I'm hopelessly in love with you, Nora.
Nora: Oh. And me with you. Um --
Troy: What?
Nora: However, I am going to have to spend a little -- Sam’s kind of in a bad way, and he's going to need some attention for the next few weeks.
Troy: Because of everything that happened with Jen?
Nora: Well, it's not just Jen, you know, and -- Blair was almost killed.
Troy: I read that in the paper.
Nora: Well, it was so overwhelming -- the shock was that she had a complete psychotic breakdown.
Troy: You're kidding me.
Nora: No, they sent her to a clinic in Switzerland somewhere. And I called my sister who has a clinic over there, and she's going to try and get me some information. But in the meantime --
Troy: In the meantime, Sam is going to need some support.
Nora: Well --
Troy: Well, wait a minute. What about Starr?
Nora: Starr's going to need it, too. Todd got custody of the kids, which is another reason why someone's got to stay close to Sam because he went ballistic. I got to -- I'm hoping that I can be the one to keep him from doing something rash.
Troy: Yeah. I guess Sam and Blair must have been getting pretty close, then.
Nora: Yeah. Well, anyway, I just don't think that he's in a good way, and I just want to be there for him as much as I can.
Troy: Well, I guess Sam’s just lucky that he has someone there for him no matter what.
Nora: As a friend. The one man I want to be with is you. All the time, and that'll never change.
***********************************************
Todd: Are you sure you understand?
Starr: Yes.
Todd: Everything that I just said, you understand? Good.
Starr: I'd better go check on Jack.
[Doorbell rings]
Todd: What the hell are you doing here?
***********************************************
Michael: You look troubled, Cristian. Does the truth hurt? You and my wife are, as they say, no longer an item.
Cristian: Look, I don't know much about you, Mister, but I do know this -- you may act kind and try to come off like you're some kind of saint, but you're no good for Natalie or anyone else.
Michael: "Judge not lest ye be judged."
Cristian: Right. As soon as I talk to Natalie, you're going to be out of her life for good.
***********************************************
Viki: You brought Michael here to Llanfair?
Natalie: Yeah. I didn't think I'd tell you at first. I thought I'd prepare you. I guess that was the right thing to do, huh?
Viki: Well, you know, perhaps it's time that we all sat down together.
Natalie: Well, actually, he was very specific about one thing. He knew that you were going to be upset --
Viki: Oh! Can't imagine why.
Natalie: Anyway, he would like to meet with you one-on-one first.
Viki: All right. That's probably not a bad idea. Then, afterwards, I'll be in a better position to talk to you about this whole affair.
Natalie: Mom, look, I know you're going to get used to this idea. I know you will.
Viki: Where is he, in the library?
Natalie: Yeah. Look, while you guys are talking, I'm going to -- I'm going to go for a drive. I've got some stuff to think about myself. Will you let him know I'll be back soon?
Viki: Yeah. I'll see you later.
Natalie: Look, I know that you probably feel guilty because you were going through your problems when I was going through my stuff with Cristian.
Viki: Yeah, I feel very, very guilty.
Natalie: But you didn't do anything wrong. It's not your fault, just like it's not your fault that you didn't raise me. I mean, maybe if you had raised me, things would be different. Maybe I would've handled this better. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten married last night. But that's not what happened.
Viki: All those years we missed.
Natalie: But we didn't miss them because of anything you did. You didn't even know I existed. Come on. We missed all those years because of Allison Perkins and that guy Mitch Laurence.
Viki: Yeah. How horrible is that?
Natalie: My point is it's not your fault. No guilty feelings, okay? Even if you meet Michael and are still not so happy about the marriage and we disagree, it's not your fault. And don't think that I won't love you because I will.
Viki: Thank you. Okay.

Natalie: I'm going to get rid of this just like I did before.
Cristian: Natalie?
Cristian: Natalie?

Nora: You know, I was thinking about that job offer --
Troy: Ugh. Come on, sweetheart. Let's just forget about that, okay?
Nora: No, no, know what? I look at it as a good thing.
Troy: Why is that?
Nora: Well, the fact that you even considered it means that you actually could leave the clinic.
Troy: Yeah, but I'm not sure I'm getting your point.
Nora: The point is it's a good sign. It means you no longer feel like you have to make up for your brother's sins anymore.
Troy: No. I'm not worried about my brother's sins. Not at all.
***********************************************
Sam: Where is she?
Blair: I'm here. And I'm fine, thank you.
***********************************************
Cristian: Natalie?
Natalie: Cris.
Cristian: Is it true? Did you marry that guy Michael?
***********************************************
Viki: Mr. Lazarus? Mr. Lazarus?
Michael: Hello, Viki. Long time no see.
Viki: Mitch.

On the next "One Life to Live" --
Blair: Maybe we should come up with another place for me to hide because I certainly don't want to stay here with Todd!
Al: You and Cristian still going to get married?
Natalie: You and I have the same wedding day and the same anniversary.
Cristian: No, we don’t.
Viki: Oh, my God. It is you.
