Starr: If you don't leave by the time I count to 10, I'm yelling for Mom.

Cristian: I'm going to marry Jen.

Natalie: Good-bye, Cristian. I'll always love you.

Antonio: What happened is we slept together and now you're making me lie about it.

Seth: Rex isn't Jessica’s biological brother.

Viki: Does that mean --

Seth: Roxanne isn't Jessica’s mother.

***********************************************

Todd: No, Starr, no.

Starr: Mom, come here.

Blair: Starr, please tell me what is going on here.

Starr: It's in the bushes.

Blair: That's where you said you heard something before, Sweetie.

Starr: Yeah, I know.

Blair: And there wasn't anything there.

Starr: Well, now there is.

***********************************************

Natalie: Mrs. Vega?

Carlotta: If you're looking for Cristian, he's probably with Jennifer -- his fiancee?

Natalie: No, actually, I'm not looking for Cristian. I am here to invite you to a shower I'm throwing for Jen.

Carlotta: You're throwing Jen a shower?

Natalie: Yeah.

Carlotta: What kind of cruel joke are you playing?

***********************************************

Keri: It's not that simple?

Antonio: No. That night -- Keri --

Keri: I know. You thought we were broken up. You thought you would never see me again.

Antonio: Yes. But now we're back together, and I want you to know the truth.

Keri: I do know the truth, Antonio. You were suspended from the force. You -- you were hurt and alone and terribly --

Antonio: But that's not the whole truth.

Keri: And you went to some motel and you -- you let some woman comfort you. I don't want to know any more than that.

Antonio: Keri --

Keri: It is simple, Antonio. It was just a one-night thing. It's not like you'll ever see the woman again, anyway.

***********************************************

Liz: Yeah, Keri, hi. It's Mom. I just wanted to let you know I'm going to be a little late for our lunch date today. I've got something I have to take care of, but then I'll be there right after. Okay? See you soon.

***********************************************

Jessica: It was real nice of you, Roxanne, to help Rex out. You know, buying his school supplies.

Roxy: I know you think I'm a total screw-up as a mother, but I try. I really do.

Jessica: Sometimes.

Roxy: Hey, I'm a good mother, right? Tell her, I'm a good mother.

Rex: I can’t.

Roxy: Why?

Rex: I'm not going to lie to Jessica about anything again.

Roxy: Rexy --

Rex: Lighten up, Mom, I'm just kidding.

Roxy: Oh, okay.

Rex: I do have to tell you the truth about something, though, Jess.

Jessica: Oh, yeah? What?

Roxy: What?

Rex: Well, if Seth was digging up stuff for me in Michigan, there was something for him to find. Something big.

***********************************************

Viki: Wait a minute, Seth. How can this be?

Seth: I don't know, Mrs. Davidson. All I know is what Rex's aunt told me.

Viki: Is she absolutely certain?

Seth: Oh, yeah. Rex is not Jessica’s brother because Jessica is not Roxanne’s daughter.

Viki: But if she's not Roxy’s daughter, then whose is she? Who are Jessica’s parents?

***********************************************

Rex: Seth probably found out --

Roxy: Keep quiet. You'll ruin everything.

Jessica: What's going on?

Rex: Mom, I have to tell her.

Roxy: No, you don’t.

Jessica: Tell me what?

Rex: Last year, me and a couple of guys got wasted, drove around the neighborhood, smashed in some windows, knocked over garbage cans, stuff like that.

Jessica: And how would Seth find out about this?

Rex: The cops.

Jessica: You got arrested?

Rex: The cops nailed us before anything too awful happened. The people's windows who we smashed in mostly knew us and they gave us a break and didn't press any charges.

Jessica: You got lucky.

Rex: Yeah, I know, but I had to work two jobs to pay for the damages.

Jessica: So that's what you didn't want me to know?

Rex: Well, I guess I -- you know, I feel a little bad about it. I didn't want you to know what a screw-up I was. Do you hate me now?

Jessica: What? No, I don't hate you.

Rex: Want me to move to another state?

Jessica: Come on, people make mistakes. It's fine.

Roxy: Well, good. Now that that's all settled, let's say we get another round, huh?

Jessica: You know what? I actually should be leaving.

Roxy: Well, Honey, I'm buying, you know, and that doesn't happen all that often.

Rex: Yeah, you can say that again.

Roxy: Hey, I was only kidding.

Rex: I thought you wanted to stay away from Seth.

Jessica: He's probably given up and stopped calling by now. Besides, I really need to spend some time with my -- Viki, you know.

Roxy: Okay. Well, yeah, you should see your other mother.

Jessica: See you later.

Roxy: How many times have I told you, you know, your Aunt Corinne didn't do any better with you than I would have?

Rex: What?

Roxy: Smashing windows? Getting drunk? I mean, you know, what mother would let you do something like that?

Rex: I never did any of that.

Roxy: What -- what do you mean?

Rex: Well, I never got caught.

Roxy: So you mean all that --

Rex: I just told Jessica that so she thought I was being totally honest with her, you know, that I got nothing to hide.

Roxy: Oh, I see, like a diversionary tactic.

Rex: No way I'm giving up all this. And Jessica’s the key to that.

Roxy: So, you're in good with her?

Rex: Yeah, and, you know, if you keep being so nice to her -- who knows -- you might get back in good with her, too.

Roxy: That would be sweet. That would be real, real sweet.

Rex: Yeah, but if I want to keep being Jessica’s brother and getting all the good that comes with it, I can never let Jessica know what my real story is.

***********************************************

Viki: Roxanne is really Natalie’s mother and the babies were never switched?

Seth: I don't know about that.

Viki: No, I mean, that's not possible. We had D.N.A. tests done -- twice -- and there was conclusive proof that Natalie is my daughter.

Seth: I know.

Viki: What else did Rex's aunt say?

Seth: That was it, just that Roxanne wasn't Jessica’s mother.

Viki: But she must know more.

Seth: I don't think so. In fact, I'd swear she doesn't. I practically had to force this much out of her. And then when she relaxed, she said that she was glad that the secret was out.

Viki: Does she have any proof?

Seth: Not according to her, but the way she said it, I totally believe it.

Viki: Come in, come in. You know, when Rae Cummings hypnotized me and brought Niki Smith out, Niki Smith said she knew something, something I didn't know.

Seth: But Dr. Cummings? I mean, she's not even a real doctor.

Viki: No, I know, I know, but my therapist in Switzerland, Dr. Hanen, she confirmed it. And now I have to wonder if what Niki knows is somehow connected with what you just told me.

Seth: Look, the only thing I know for sure is that Rex has been scamming everyone since he got here.

Viki: Wait -- wait a minute. Maybe he didn't know. I mean, maybe he still doesn't know.

Seth: He knows. That's -- I mean, you can count on that. I just -- I wish I could make sense out of it for you.

Viki: Maybe I can do that myself. Would you excuse me, please? Just help yourself and let yourself out? Thanks.

***********************************************

Antonio: Keri, what happened that night, it -- it was a one-time thing.

Keri: That's what I thought it was.

Antonio: Listen to me. I love you. I don't want anyone else but you, ever.

Keri: I feel the same way about you.

Antonio: But even that night, I loved you. I never stopped loving you.

Keri: I never should have given you your ring back.

Antonio: I wish I could change what happened. I wish I'd had the faith that you and I would find our way back to each other.

Keri: What's important is that we did.

Antonio: I let you down.

Keri: No, you didn't. You didn't let me down. If anything, it's my fault.

Antonio: No. No, don't say that, ever.

Keri: Antonio, I was the one who didn't have faith in us. I was the one who told you it was over.

Antonio: But you thought it was.

Keri: Yes, and I made you think that, too. So if you're asking me to forgive you, I forgive you. I'm not going to say that it doesn't hurt thinking about you with another woman.

Antonio: I'm sorry I hurt you. I never meant --

Keri: I know. I understand what happened. Look what I've made you deal with. I decided to carry a baby for my mother without even talking to you about it.

Antonio: Honey, I know how much your mother means to you.

Keri: You mean just as much to me. You are my future. And you've been so wonderful about what I'm doing.

Antonio: I want you to do anything and everything that makes you happy.

Keri: You make me happy -- by accepting what I'm doing. I mean, nothing you could tell me could ever be as big a deal as that or change our lives as much as that.

Antonio: Keri --

[Knock on door]

Keri: Why does everyone keep interrupting us?

Antonio: No, no, no, no, don't answer it. We still need to talk.

Keri: I don't think we can right now.

[Knock]

Liz: Antonio, I -- I'm sorry to disturb you. I looked up your address because there's some things we still need to talk --

Keri: Mom? What are you doing here?

***********************************************

Blair: Okay, what is in here?

Starr: You're not going to like it.

Blair: Wait, wait, wait. It's not a snake, is it? It's not a snake?

Starr: No --

Blair: Because I don't like snakes. You know that. It better not be a snake.

Starr: Mom, calm down. It is not a snake.

Blair: All right.

Bo: Blair?

Blair: Bo.

Starr: Mom --

Blair: Is something wrong?

Bo: Well, Suzanne just let me in. I'm sorry I interrupted --

Blair: No, you're not interrupting anything.

Bo: Well, I need to talk to you about something.

Blair: Okay, what about?

Bo: It's about Todd.

***********************************************

Carlotta: Showers are supposed to be given by the friends of the bride.

Natalie: I know.

Carlotta: Not someone who stabbed her in the back.

Natalie: It was Jen’s idea.

Carlotta: What?

Natalie: Yeah, she thinks of me as a friend.

Carlotta: That's because she's very sweet and innocent and she doesn't realize what you've been up to.

Natalie: Yeah, well, she's not that innocent.

Carlotta: Excuse me?

Natalie: I just mean that she is having a baby.

Carlotta: And you know exactly what I mean. You went after Cristian, and you tried to get him away from Jennifer.

Natalie: No, I didn't.

Carlotta: And now you're pretending to be Jennifer’s friend to try to stay to close to Cristian.

Natalie: No!

Carlotta: I know you --

Natalie: You don't know me. You don't know anything about me!

Carlotta: I know that you tried to ruin Jessica’s life and you made Seth Anderson help you.

Natalie: That was a long time ago. I wouldn't do anything like that now.

Carlotta: Oh, you wouldn't?

Natalie: No, I wouldn't. And I wish I had never done it before, and -- but I can't take it back. Look, I don't want to hurt anybody anymore. I don't want anyone to have to feel like that.

Carlotta: Feel like what? You don't know how people feel.

Natalie: You don't know how I feel.

Carlotta: You don't feel anything. Otherwise, you wouldn't be treating Jennifer this way.

Natalie: You don't know how hard I tried not to throw a shower for Jen and how much I'm trying to stay out of her life.

Carlotta: And Cristian’s?

Natalie: Yes, especially Cristian’s! I mean, don't you get it? I don't want to have feelings for him. I mean, I tried everything I possibly could not to feel it.

Carlotta: Except stay away from my son.

Natalie: Yes, I did. I tried. But if you think that I am some witch that's cast a spell over Cristian, then you don't know your son very well.

Carlotta: I know my children. And I know my sons. They're good, honest men. And they don't need somebody throwing their mistakes into their face.

***********************************************

Liz: I looked up Antonio’s address because I thought that would be the best place to find you.

Keri: As usual, you were right. Well, it looks like your mom can finally stop feeling guilty about walking in on us. The torch has officially been passed.

Liz: Oh, was I interrupting something?

Antonio: Actually --

Keri: No, it -- it's fine. You're here for our lunch date, right?

Liz: Yeah. I am.

Keri: Yeah, okay. Well, I have a great idea. How about I go down to the diner and pick us up some takeout? You guys can talk --

Liz: No, Honey, wouldn't you rather just go out?

Keri: No, no, it'll be fun. Any requests?

Liz: Anything's fine for me.

Keri: Okay. Then how about some of Carlotta’s flan? It's world-famous.

Liz: Ah. Bring it on, then.

Keri: Okay. I'll be right back.

Antonio: Okay.

Keri: Bye.

Antonio: See you soon.

Liz: Thank you.

Antonio: For what?

Liz: You obviously didn't say anything to Keri about us spending the night together. And I'm so grateful. I can't lose Keri. I can't lose another daughter.

***********************************************

Jessica: I'm really glad you get to meet my mom, being that you had to spend all that time with Niki Smith.

Rex: Yeah, me, too.

Jessica: Now you guys can get to know each other, you know?

Rex: Yeah, that would be great.

Jessica: But don't worry, she's nothing like Niki Smith. I promise you. She'll treat you just like you're part of the family.

Seth: But he's not part of the family.

Jessica: Excuse me. Rex may not be part of my mom's family, but he is part of mine.

Seth: Oh, yeah?

Jessica: Yeah. What are you doing here?

Seth: I told you on the phone I needed to speak to you.

Jessica: And I told you I don't want to see you.

Seth: Well, I'm not leaving, not until I tell you what I found out in Michigan.

Jessica: I don't want to hear what you found out in Michigan.

Seth: You will. I was right. Rex was hiding something --

Jessica: I don't want to hear it. He already told me everything I need to know. I don't care.

Seth: What?

Jessica: I don't, so can you please leave?

***********************************************

Viki: Hello, Roxanne.

Roxy: Hey, Vik. Long time no see.

Viki: Well, I couldn't have put that better myself.

Roxy: You know, you look kind of different.

Viki: Yes, well, I am different. Apparently, the last time we saw each other, I wasn't quite myself.

Roxy: Oh, yeah, I heard you had your head shrunk.

Viki: In a manner of speaking, yes.

Roxy: Well, I guess you're not going to be asking me to lie for you, huh?

Viki: I don't ever want you to lie again.

Roxy: That's a good thing because I couldn't keep my stories straight, you know, about the flowers -- gerbiliums?

Viki: Roxanne, I really need you to tell me the truth.

Roxy: You know, it's funny; I was just talking about the truth to our baby girl.

Viki: Our baby girl, Jessica, is exactly what we need to talk about.

Viki: I've been thinking quite a bit about what happened to us. You know, how our babies were switched?

Roxy: Yeah, it sure was a kick in the head, huh?

Viki: "A kick in the head?" I agonized over the fact that I let that happen.

Roxy: Hey, Vk, you gotta give yourself a break. You didn't know the kids got switched.

Viki: No, but how could I not tell the difference between the child that was returned to me and the baby that I gave birth to?

Roxy: Beats me. I didn't know it, either.

Viki: Yes, well, at the time, I was suffering from some sort of nervous condition, a kind of a breakdown.

Roxy: You kind of do that a lot, don't you?

Viki: So I wasn't able to see things clearly, and, of course, my baby was missing for almost a month.

Roxy: Well, that must have been rough.

Viki: Yes. So I suppose I simply assumed the differences in the little girl that was returned to me were because babies change so much in the first few months, don't they?

Roxy: Yeah, well, you know, those squeakers, they really shoot up, don't they?

Viki: Your baby wasn't missing a month.

Roxy: Yeah, right.

Viki: In fact, your baby wasn't missing at all, was she?

Roxy: Uh -- it wasn't?

Viki: Roxanne, come on! Allison Perkins took Jessica out of her crib and put Natalie back in her place, didn't she?

Roxy: Yeah, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, right.

Viki: I'm absolutely amazed that you couldn't tell the difference in that short space of time. I mean, here you lay one little girl down for her nap, and a short while later you pick her up and it's a different child. And you had absolutely no idea that it wasn't the same baby?

Roxy: Well, you know, Vik, I had my troubles. You know, I was really sick.

Viki: Well, I understand that. Childbirth is a very difficult process. It takes time to recover.

Roxy: Oh, yeah, it sure does.

Viki: Funny, though -- I remember every single moment of Jessica’s birth. I remember the breathing and the contractions and the pushing.

Roxy: Right, right.

Viki: How about you?

Roxy: How about me what?

Viki: Well, with Jessica -- was her birth a difficult one?

Roxy: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, it was no picnic at the beach, believe me. I never had so much pain in my life.

Viki: Yeah. But, I mean, you obviously got over it, didn't you? Huh?

Roxy: Yeah.

Viki: Well, I mean, you had another child, didn't you? You had Rex.

Roxy: Oh, yeah, right.

Viki: Yeah. Was Rex's birth a difficult one?

Roxy: Oh, you want to know about pain? That was pain. I was in labor for 36 hours straight.

Viki: 36 hours?

Roxy: Oh, yeah.

Viki: Wow. That's unbelievable. Seems a very, very long time for a second baby.

Roxy: Oh, well, yeah, it was. But, you know, Jessica’s was a lot longer.

Viki: Yeah. How long were you in labor with Jessie?

Roxy: I don't know. It felt like forever.

Viki: Yeah. How long did you have to push?

Roxy: Uh -- well, not long. But, you know, longer than with Rex. I know that, yeah.

Viki: What was Jessie’s Apgar score?

Roxy: Her what?

Viki: What time of day was she born? Do you know?

Roxy: Um -- let me think --

Viki: What did she weigh?

Roxy: I don't know.

Viki: Did she have any hair?

Roxy: I don't remember.

Viki: You don't remember? No, every mother remembers, especially with a first-born child.

Roxy: Well, says who?

Viki: Roxanne, why don't you remember anything about Jessica’s birth?

Roxy: I just don't.

Viki: Maybe it's because you didn't give birth to Jessica.

***********************************************

Natalie: You're right. Cristian is good and honest.

Carlotta: I know.

Natalie: Oh, I don't think you do know. Because if I'm Cristian’s mistake, well, then, I guess that means you have a very low opinion of your son.

Carlotta: What?

Natalie: Well, I mean, if I'm so bad, then why would Cristian have anything to do with me?

Carlotta: He obviously wasn't thinking clearly, perhaps not thinking at all.

Natalie: Hmm. Yeah, well, Cristian doesn't do anything without thinking -- about other people, their feelings, their needs, and their wants.

Carlotta: Yes, he cares about others. That's the way he was raised.

Natalie: Well, then you should know that Cristian would do anything to keep from hurting anyone else.

Carlotta: As long as that anyone else is you, huh?

Natalie: Okay, Mrs. Vega, I want Cristian to marry Jen. I want them to live happily ever after. You know what? I want the entire world for Cristian because I -- I really, really -- I got to go. I hope you can make it.

Woman: Carlotta? Are you all right?

Carlotta: I don't understand these children.

Woman: Remember when our parents said that about us?

Carlotta: I have one son marrying a woman he doesn't love because she's carrying his baby, and another son marrying the woman of his dreams, even though she's carrying someone else's.

Woman: What?

Carlotta: I'll tell you later.

Keri: Carlotta.

Carlotta: Hi, Keri.

Keri: Hi. I need you to work some of your culinary genius. I need every one of Antonio’s favorite foods to go.

Carlotta: Oh, well, that's a tall order. You don't know how many favorite foods he has.

Keri: Well, I'd like to learn. In fact, if you have time sometime, I would love it if you could teach me. I mean, not that I could ever cook as well you do.

Carlotta: Oh, please. I'd be happy to teach you, Keri. Oh, have you ever met my friend Innocencia?

Keri: Hi.

Innocencia: I was so sorry I couldn't make it to your engagement party.

Keri: Oh, that's okay.

Innocencia: I can't believe my handsome Antonio is taken. If I were younger, oh, my, I'd give you some competition.

Keri: Well, I might have to put up a little fight.

Carlotta: Yeah, Innocencia's always had a soft spot for Antonio.

Keri: Oh, I can't say that I blame her.

Carlotta: Oh, by the way, Innocencia was the person who saw Antonio with that woman.

***********************************************

Antonio: What do you mean, you can't lose another daughter?

Liz: It was a long time ago, when Keri was a little girl. Steve, Keri’s stepdad, and I -- we had a child. It was a baby girl. She didn't make it, though. I never even got to hold her.

Antonio: I'm sorry.

Liz: Anyway, that's part of the reason why having another child is so important to me.

Antonio: I understand.

Liz: And it's also why my relationship with Keri is so important to me. Thank you for not destroying that.

Antonio: Look; I told you, I don't want to keep things from Keri.

Liz: I know.

Antonio: I told her what happened when we were apart. I told her that I spent the night with a woman at that motel.

Liz: You told her about us?

Antonio: No, I didn't tell her it was you. She didn't give me a chance to. She didn't want to hear the details, but I'm going to.

Liz: Well, of course she doesn't want to hear any details!

Antonio: Listen --

Liz: What -- you told her that you slept with another woman? How could you do that to her? She loves you!

Antonio: I had to -- for me and especially for her.

Liz: Oh, really? Well, what does Keri get out of this besides pain and heartache?

Antonio: She gets the truth.

Liz: Well, you just told me she didn't even want to hear it. And yet you insisted on breaking her heart, on hurting her? You? You didn't do this for Keri. You did it for you, to ease your guilty conscience.

***********************************************

Starr: Mom.

Blair: Starr, just wait a minute, all right, Sweetheart?

Starr: But, Mom --

Blair: No, listen, I am talking to Comm. Buchanan right now, all right?

Starr: Okay. This is important.

Blair: We will just be right over here, all right? Look, I'm sorry, Bo, I just don't want Starr to overhear --

Bo: No, no, I understand.

Blair: So, what about Todd?

Bo: He contacted Gabrielle.

Blair: He did? From where? Is he in Llanview?

Bo: No, no, I don't think so. She was under the impression that he was out of the country.

Blair: Thank God.

Bo: But he wanted to know about the charges against him. It was like he was trying to figure out if it was safe to come back.

Blair: I knew it. I knew he couldn't stay away. Not when I have Jack and Starr with me. Bo, he is going to try to take them away from me. I know that he will.

Bo: Okay, well, you can keep that from happening. After everything that Todd did -- he told you that Jack was dead, took Jack away from you, then all of a sudden he brought him back and said that he'd adopted him.

Blair: Yeah, well, that's Todd. You know Todd.

Bo: He can be prosecuted for that.

Blair: Well, good. Good.

Bo: Now, when you got back from Hawaii, you were ready to press charges.

Blair: Yeah, because he tried to kidnap both of my children.

Bo: I know. I'd like to know if you still feel the same way now.

Blair: Do I want to send Todd to prison?

Bo: In a nutshell.

Blair: If Todd comes back to Llanview, just shoot him on the spot.

Bo: No, it doesn't exactly work like that.

Blair: Well, why can't you make it work like that, Bo?

Bo: Blair --

Blair: I know. I know.

Bo: It would give me a great deal of satisfaction to see Todd pay for what he did, okay, for all the hurt that he caused people.

Blair: I just don't want him anywhere near the children ever. And if he does show up here in Llanview, have him arrested immediately.

Starr: Mom? Comm. Buchanan? There's something I think I should tell you two.

Blair: Starr, Sweetie, Mr. Buchanan and I are talking about something very important.

Starr: Yeah, but what I have to tell you is really important.

Blair: Yeah? Is it about what's in the bushes?

Starr: Yeah.

Blair: We have been over this before.

Starr: But it's about what I found.

Blair: Okay, okay, you win. Why don't you just go on and tell us what you found, okay?

Starr: Okay. I found an orange-speckled salamander.

Blair: A what?

Starr: They're really rare.

Blair: Well, that's really great, Starr.

Starr: Yep. That must have been what I heard before.

Blair: Well, that must have been what you heard --

Starr: Not a man or anything, just a salamander, an orange-speckled salamander.

Blair: Well, that's terrific. Why don't you go guard that orange-speckled salamander, and I'm going to walk Comm. Buchanan to the door, okay?

Starr: Okay.

Blair: But don't get dirty, young lady.

Starr: Okay.

Blair: In just a few minutes, I'm going to send Suzanne in here to get you.

Starr: Okay!

Blair: Okay.

Starr: Dad, are you still there?

Todd: Yeah, I'm still here. I'm a salamander, but I'm still here. How come you didn't turn me in?

Starr: Because I didn't want you to go to jail forever.

Todd: Yeah, well, I don't want to go to jail forever, either.

Starr: But I'm not going to leave with you.

Todd: Right.

Starr: What are you doing?

Todd: Looking at you. I'm just trying to remember what you look like.

Starr: You know what I look like.

Todd: I don't want to forget.

Starr: Pretty, right?

Todd: Yeah.

Starr: Cuter than Jack?

Todd: Oh, yeah, way cuter than Jack. Where's Jack, anyway? Is he anywhere around here?

Starr: Why?

Todd: I don't know. You know, maybe I'll just hold him up next to you to prove to you that you're cuter.

Starr: Well, he's upstairs with Hedy. I mean, I could go get him.

Todd: No. Tell me, what -- what does he look like? You know, is he bigger? Well, of course he's bigger. Is he walking?

Starr: No. He can just crawl.

Todd: I bet he's fast, though, huh?

Starr: No, he's not.

Todd: Well, he will be soon.

Starr: When?

Todd: Don't know, a few months.

Starr: When he gets older and he's able to walk -- well, he can walk -- I'm going to make him clean up all my toys because I'm really sick and tired of doing that.

Todd: Well, now, hold on a second. You take it easy on Jack, all right? You got to look out for him.

Starr: Why?

Todd: Well, because you're his big sister. That's what big sisters do; they look out after their little brothers.

Starr: Why do I have to do all the work? What about you, Dad? Aren't you going to do anything? Aren't we ever going to see you again?

Blair: Well, Bo, I thought Todd was out of my life for good. I guess I should have known.

***********************************************

Bo: Wishful thinking.

Blair: He's been gone so long now, I started to think that maybe he was dead.

Bo: But you really didn't want that, did you?

Blair: No. I'm actually relieved that he's alive. But you know what? He could have picked any time to come back to Llanview. Why did he pick now, huh? Why?

Bo: We don't know that he's back, Blair. All he made -- he made a phone call.

Blair: Yeah, well, you know what? It's just a matter of time until Todd shows up. But why now?

Bo: Is now worse than any other time? Any time Todd is in Llanview, that's a bad time to me.

Blair: Well, Bo, thank you so much for stopping by and warning me.

Bo: Okay. Sure.

Blair: Okay.

***********************************************

Todd: I don't think I'm going to be seeing you and Jack anymore.

Starr: You don't?

Todd: No. So, I -- I guess this is good-bye.

Starr: I don't want to say good-bye, Daddy! I don't!

***********************************************

Seth: You just forgave Rex? Just like that?

Rex: Yeah, because I told Jessica the truth, okay? And she respects that.

Jessica: Too bad you couldn't figure that out.

Seth: I just wanted to protect you.

Jessica: From what?

Rex: I've told her everything there is to tell. There's nothing for you to say.

Seth: You really know everything?

Rex: Yeah. You heard Jessica, okay? Why don't you just go?

Seth: Listen, Jess, I knew I risked losing you by going to Michigan.

Jessica: I told you if you went to Michigan, I wouldn't be here when you got back.

Seth: I know, but I went anyway because I love you. And if that means it's over for us, then I'll learn to live with that. But you have to know the truth. I'm not letting you get sucked in by Rex.

Jessica: "Sucked in?"

Seth: Jess, he's playing you!

Jessica: Stop it! I already know everything. He told me. So he got into trouble. So did you.

Seth: What?

Rex: Okay, you don't need to do this, Jessica --

Jessica: What? He got drunk. He smashed in some windows. What about you? You tried to set my house on fire, but I forgave you for that.

Seth: Got drunk and smashed some windows?

Jessica: He paid for it, Seth.

Seth: Is that what he told you?

Rex: It's the truth.

Seth: What about the other truth, that you're not really Jessica’s brother?

Jessica: What?

***********************************************

Roxy: Of course I gave birth to Jessica. Hey, what kind of thing is that to say?

Viki: Then why don't you remember anything about her birth?

Roxy: You know, because I was drugged out. I was on all these painkillers.

Viki: Why don't you have any pictures of your newborn baby in your house?

Roxy: Hey, am I supposed to save everything?

Viki: Why could you never give me her birth certificate or her medical records?

Roxy: Want those? I'll go get them.

Viki: No, I don’t. Why did you never care for Natalie, the daughter that you chose to raise?

Roxy: Hey, I'll give you that one. I was a lousy mother to Natalie.

Viki: No, you weren’t. You weren't any kind of mother at all. You played with her life and Jessica’s, and you played with mine!

Roxy: Hey. Hey, just back off, okay?

Viki: I want you to tell me everything.

Roxy: There's nothing to tell, Vik.

Viki: Oh, really? Okay, okay. Do you mind if I use your phone just for a minute?

Roxy: No, go ahead.

Viki: Thank you, thank you. Now, Roxanne, you can either tell me everything or you can tell the police. Hi, may I speak with Bo Buchanan --

Roxy: Just take it easy!

Viki: You never gave birth to Jessica. Or to Natalie, either. Did you? Did you?

Roxy: All right. All right, I never gave birth to them. I never gave birth to a baby girl.

Viki: Then how did you get her? What did you do? Roxanne, what did you do?

Roxy: I stole her.

***********************************************

Antonio: She deserves to know everything.

Liz: Why? So you can get it off your chest?

Antonio: That is not what I'm doing.

Liz: So, what did she look like when you told her that you slept with someone else? Did you see pain in her eyes?

Antonio: It was hard for her. Of course it was.

Liz: Oh, God, I can just imagine --

Antonio: But that doesn't mean that --

Liz: You can't hurt her any more! Telling her the rest of the story is just going to kill her, Antonio.

Antonio: She's a lot stronger than you think.

Liz: Really? So, what, you just want to keep adding pain to see how much she can take? Is that it? And what does Keri get out of this, anyway? What do you get? What does anybody get? Who gets happier? Anybody? Huh? Keri? I don't think so. And if she gets destroyed, how are you going to feel, Antonio?

Antonio: Okay. Okay, I won't tell her.

Liz: Thank you. Thank you.

Antonio: I won't tell her it was you I met on the road. I won't tell her I slept with her mother.

***********************************************

Carlotta: You remember Antonio’s good deed? Even after he was in that awful state after having accidentally shot Dr. Davidson?

Keri: I remember.

Carlotta: And he's so modest, I would never even have known about it except for Innocencia here.

Innocencia: He's such a good samaritan, your Antonio.

Carlotta: She's the one who saw him at the hotel when he helped that poor woman with her car.

***********************************************

Todd: Doesn't need to be good-bye, you know, not if you don't want it to be.

Starr: But you can't stay or else they're going to arrest you. And you're not going to try and kidnap me and Jack again, are you?

Todd: No. But I'm not going to let myself get arrested.

Starr: Then what are you going to do?

Todd: Well, that's not up to me, is it? That's up to you.

Starr: What am I supposed to do?

Todd: Well, remember I told you that there was a way that you could help me? What do you say? You ready to help me now?

Starr: What am I supposed to do?

***********************************************

Natalie: Mrs. Vega was right. I don't have anyone to love me. I don't deserve anyone.

***********************************************

Jessica: What are you talking about? Of course Rex is my brother.

Seth: No, he's not, Jess. That's what I found out in Michigan.

Rex: Okay, you couldn't have! You don't know what you're talking about!

Seth: Rex is Roxanne Balsom's son.

Jessica: I know.

Seth: But you're not her daughter.

Jessica: What are you saying? Roxanne's not my mom?

***********************************************

Viki: You stole the baby?

Roxy: Well, I didn't actually do the stealing part. But, yeah, the baby was stolen.

Viki: What kind of a monster are you that you would take a newborn baby from her mother?

Roxy: I said I didn't do the stealing part.

Viki: Yeah, but you deprived that child of a life she was supposed to have, of a family she was supposed to know.

Roxy: Well, maybe she was supposed to know me, too!

Viki: How did you do it? How did you get the baby? Tell me, who is Jessica’s real mother?

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Keri: Apparently, a friend of Carlotta’s saw him with this woman.

Nora: You'll be satisfied when --

Lindsay: You're gone.

Roxy: I didn't steal the baby. My old man stole it.

Jessica: If Roxanne’s not my mother, then who is?
