One Life to Live Transcript Wednesday 9/25/02
>> Previously on "One Life to Live " --
Hank: Listen, Bo, I didn't realize your roommate was home.
Gabrielle: He called me your roommate. Why didn't you say anything?
Keri: I'm so glad that I could be your surrogate.
Liz: If you're pregnant.
Keri: My mom is in Llanview. She doesn't want to see you.
Jen: We're getting married.
Natalie: Cristian?
Cristian: Jen's pregnant.
***********************************************
Jen: Well? Are you going to marry me or not?
Cristian: Well, it's not that simple, Jen.
Jen: Yeah, it is that simple to me. We love each other. We live together. We're having a baby together. Of course we would get married. That's the right thing to do.
***********************************************
Al: What are you crying about this time, Natalie?
Natalie: Nothing. Will you just go away and leave me alone?
Al: Oh, no, I'm staying. You want to be alone? Go find someplace else.
Natalie: Ok, fine, I will, because you know what? The last thing I need to do is listen to you.
Al: Oh, what'd your buddy Cristian do to you this time?
Natalie: What?
Al: Gotcha, and on the first try. Man, you are so easy.
Natalie: You do not know anything.
Al: Wait, did Cristian do something to Jen?
Natalie: Well, yeah, you could say that.
Al: What?
Natalie: You're not going to like it.
Al: Spill it, Natalie.
Natalie: All right, if you must know, Jen’s --
Al: Jen's what?
***********************************************
Gabrielle: Why don't you admit it? You're ashamed of me.
Bo: No.
Gabrielle: Aren't you?
Bo: No! Why would you think something like that?
Gabrielle: Well, I suppose I can't blame you, really, considering.
Bo: No, no, no, see, you're off base right now. I am not ashamed of you. Where is this coming from?
Gabrielle: Then why didn't you tell Hank about us, you know, that we're a couple? Instead, you just stood by and said nothing when he called me your roommate.
Bo: You are my roommate.
Gabrielle: Is that the word you would use to describe our relationship now?
Bo: No, Gabrielle, no, I --
Gabrielle: I thought I meant more to you, much more.
Bo: You do.
Gabrielle: Then why didn't you tell Hank? I saw you. You chose not to correct him.
Bo: I chose? No. No.
Gabrielle: All right. This is your last chance, ok, before any more damage is done. If I'm such an embarrassment to you, why don't you end it right now?
***********************************************
Keri: It's -- it's big news. It's huge, actually. It's -- it's critical that we talk. Can we go to my office?
Antonio: Yeah, yeah. It sounds serious.
Keri: It is, and I want my mom to be there when I tell you.
Antonio: Ok.
Carlotta: Oh, mijo.
Antonio: Mami.
Carlotta: What a wonderful surprise! And Keri, too. Oh, Honey, I heard about your stepfather. It must have been a terrible shock.
Keri: It was.
Carlotta: Is there anything that I can do?
Keri: No, I'm -- I'm doing better now, thanks to your son here. He was there for me when I was going through everything, despite his own problems at work.
Carlotta: That's my Antonio, always putting other people first, like what he did with that woman he helped.
Keri: What woman?
***********************************************
R.J.: Liz Coleman. It's been a long time.
Liz: It's Reynolds now.
R.J.: Right. Right. Keri told me about your husband. I'm sorry for your loss. But she also told me that -- that you didn't want to see me.
Liz: Yeah. I thought that'd be best.
R.J.: Really? How is that? Considering we have a daughter together, a daughter I never knew existed, thanks to you.
***********************************************
Jen: You want our baby to have two parents, right?
Cristian: Jen, look, I just don't think we should rush into anything.
Jen: "Rush"? Cristian, I am pregnant with your baby. Half you, half me.
Cristian: I just think that -- that we need to do some serious talking first. That's all.
Jen: What's going on with you, Cristian?
Cristian: Jen, I have to tell you something. You deserve to know the truth.
***********************************************
Keri: So who was this mysterious woman you helped?
Antonio: It was -- it was nothing.
Carlotta: How could you say that?
Antonio: Mami, look, you don't have to brag about every single good deed I've done in my life.
Carlotta: Oh, and he's modest, too. You know, you're a very lucky young woman to be marrying my son.
Antonio: Yeah, if you do say so yourself.
Carlotta: Well, from the look on Keri’s face, she agrees with me.
Antonio: Yeah, well, I'm the lucky one. I'm lucky you took me back. Not everyone would have done that.
Carlotta: You're both very blessed. I'm just happy to see that ring back on your finger.
Keri: Oh, don't worry, Mrs. Vega. It's never coming off.
Carlotta: I'm sorry I was ever a problem for you. I'm going to be very proud to have you as my daughter-in-law. You're a beautiful woman, inside and out.
Keri: I feel the same way, Mrs. Vega. Your family is -- it's so strong. I just hope one day Antonio and I will --
Carlotta: Oh, have children? Oh, of course you will. And you'll make this mother-in-law very happy. I've been waiting a long time to be an abuela.
***********************************************
R.J.: So how does that work, exactly? I have a daughter, and she's as much a part of me as she is of you, but you don't bother to tell me about her? How? How could you do that?
Liz: You were in prison.
R.J.: Does that change who I was? Who I was to Keri? Who Keri is to me?
Liz: Yes.
R.J.: Oh, no. No matter what I did, you had no right to keep her from me. I deserve to know that I was her father.
Liz: It was my decision to make.
R.J.: The hell it was.
Liz: You think it was easy? Every choice I made was for Keri, no matter what I had to sacrifice.
R.J.: So you sacrificed my choices? My rights as her father?
Liz: No. You forfeited those when you got yourself arrested.
R.J.: Funny. I don't remember the judge saying anything about that.
Liz: What would her life have been like? Huh? Growing up with everybody knowing that her father is a convicted felon? You think that would have been easy? She'd have been teased, branded. There's no way I was going to let that happen to her. When I found out I was pregnant, I swore that she'd never know that her father is nothing more than a common criminal.
R.J.: You're the criminal. You stole my daughter from me.
Liz: I was a kid, R.J. I just -- I did the best I could.
R.J.: The best you could? The best you could do was to steal more time from me? I missed everything! I missed her first words, her first steps, her first day of school!
Liz: Oh, yeah, right! Like you'd be this perfect father? Man, you have such a selective memory. You were a player, R.J. You were in knee-deep on the rackets and on your way down. You wouldn't have been there for us even if you had stayed clear with the law.
R.J.: You don't know that.
Liz: Oh, please. It's a miracle you're not still in prison now. What kind of father would you have made?
R.J.: I am a good father! Ask Keri.
Liz: Yeah, now! Wow, this is the easy part. She's all grown up. And she's beautiful and she's talented and she's brilliant. But who would she have been if she'd grown up around you all those years, dragging her down?
R.J.: We will never know. Will we? Because you took all of that away from me.
Liz: What about what you took away from me?
R.J.: What are you talking about? I never took anything from you.
Liz: Forget it.
R.J.: No, no, wait, Liz. Answer me. What did I ever take from you?
Liz: I was in love with you, damn it, and you just threw all that away.
***********************************************
Cristian: I don't know where to start.
Jen: You know, we don't really need to do this right now.
Cristian: No, no, Jen, you need to hear me out, ok? I care about you too much not to tell you the truth.
Jen: Please. You know, I was being unfair. I got really excited, and you know what? We're just really getting ahead of ourselves.
Cristian: No, Jen, we really need to talk about this.
Jen: Do you know what? I'm -- I'm tired, and maybe we should just not talk for a few days and just let it sink in. I shouldn't have pressured you into getting married. We've got plenty of time for that.
Cristian: Wow, this is really happening, isn't it?
Jen: I am so happy. Ugh, I forgot. Dr. Conklin wants me to go get this filled right away.
Cristian: Now?
Jen: Yeah. I should start taking them as soon as possible. Our lives are completely changing. It's not just the two of us anymore. We're having a baby.
Cristian: Jen, I'm still trying to figure out how it happened.
Jen: It's a miracle, I guess. But I want to go get those prenatal vitamins right away because we both want what's best for the baby, right?
Jen: He is not going to dump me for that redheaded witch. I didn't get pregnant with Al's baby for nothing.
***********************************************
Al: Jen's what?
Natalie: Jen's in love with Cristian, but you know that, and Cristian’s in love with Jen, and their lives are all mixed up together.
Al: Well, mixed up, anyway.
Natalie: You don't know anything.
Al: Well, I know more than you think.
Natalie: No, you don’t. Jen and Cristian belong together, ok, and there is nothing you can do about that.
Al: I've never known you to give up so easily, Natalie.
Natalie: News flash, Al -- not everyone's as obsessed with lost causes as you are.
Al: Oh, really? So, Jen and Cristian can be together, and that's just fine with you, right? I don't think so, Natalie.
Natalie: Whatever Jen and Cristian do in their personal lives is their business, not mine and not yours.
Al: Maybe so, but whether you admit it or not, you got it bad for that kid.
Natalie: Don't confuse yourself with me.
Al: Oh, no, no. The thing is you and I are exactly alike, Natalie. Now, you're in love with Cristian, and I'm crazy for Jen. The only difference between you and me is that I'm not afraid to admit it.
Natalie: I am nothing like you, so desperate and lonely.
Al: I may be desperate, but I'm not as lonely as you may think.
Natalie: Al, what are -- you are just deluding yourself.
Al: Yeah, why don't you sit down and hear me out, ok? We're on the same side here. Now, both of us want the same thing -- neither of us want Cristian and Jen to be together. So I was thinking maybe we could pool our resources, you know, help each other out.
Natalie: Oh, God, are you nuts?
Al: What's nuts about it? We help each other out, we get exactly what he want.
Natalie: No. No, no, no, no. I --
Al: Come on, Natalie. We could really help each other here.
Natalie: No, we can't!
Al: Listen, you tell me everything you know about Jen and Cristian, and I'll tell you everything that I know. Come on, Natalie. Isn't there anything you want to tell me?
***********************************************
Bo: You know what? Right now you're just overreacting to something that was completely unintentional, although it was thoughtless, you know, on my part. I admit that.
Gabrielle: Well, you looked like you were thinking.
Bo: Well, I look like that a lot. It helps in my line of work.
Gabrielle: Is that what you're doing now, using your poker face?
Bo: No, no. I would never use that on you. Come on, you know what? This is all very new to both of us, and I think, you know, we just need a little time just to -- just to get used to it.
Gabrielle: You're the first man in a long time that I have felt proud to be with. And I want everyone to know. And I thought you felt the same way when you said that you wanted us to be a real couple. I assumed you meant it.
Bo: I do, and we are.
Gabrielle: So when does that start? You told me that you wanted us to hold hands in public --
Bo: Mm-hmm.
Gabrielle: And go to a romantic restaurant, put our heads together so that we'd give them all something to talk about.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, I plan to do all of those things.
Gabrielle: But Hank is your best friend. And if you're so happy to be with me, wouldn't you want to tell him that? Instead, you just stood there and let him keep on believing that we're just roommates.
Bo: Oh, boy. Hey, I don't know, it's a guy thing, you know?
Gabrielle: A what thing?
Bo: It's a guy thing. Guys don't talk about their feelings with one another, you know, not easily.
Gabrielle: Not even with your best friend?
Bo: No. What am I supposed to say? "Hey, Hank, guess what. Gabrielle and I are a couple now."
Gabrielle: What's wrong with that?
Bo: It doesn't work that way.
Gabrielle: Ok, enlighten me. How does it work?
Bo: Oh, I don't know. You know what? It's really hard to explain.
Gabrielle: Try.
Bo: No. This is silly. Come on, why are we arguing about this?
Gabrielle: We're not arguing, because I'm going.
Bo: No, no, whoa, whoa. You can't walk out the door feeling hurt. All right, what do you want me to do? You want me to make a public announcement?
Gabrielle: I didn't realize it was such a sacrifice for you.
***********************************************
Antonio: Mami, look, I know you're excited, but can we cool it with the grandchildren talk?
Carlotta: Well, you're asking for an awful lot. I've been waiting a long time to have little children around to spoil again.
Antonio: Well, don't worry, ok? There'll be plenty of time for babies. Right now Keri and I -- we want to honeymoon for a couple years, just the two of us.
Carlotta: Oh, goodness. I almost forgot the reason I came.
Antonio: Oh, you need one?
Carlotta: Hmm.
[Antonio laughs]
Carlotta: Don't listen to him. I let my sons live their own lives.
Antonio: Hmm. Uh-huh.
Carlotta: Anyway, I just wanted to ask you guys. I was thinking, I would like to give you guys an engagement party.
Keri: Oh, Mrs. Vega, you already worked so hard. I don't want you going to all that extra trouble for us.
Carlotta: "Trouble"? Don't be silly. It would be my pleasure to welcome you officially into the family.
Antonio: Don't look at me. No, really, Honey, it's really up to you, ok? But I will tell you this -- you're probably going to break her heart if you don't say yes.
Keri: It would be wonderful.
Carlotta: Oh, great!
Keri: Thank you.
Carlotta: So, I have a lot to do. I have to make lists and go shopping. You know, the most important part of a party to make it a success is planning.
Keri: I'm learning that.
Carlotta: Welcome back.
Keri: Thank you.
Carlotta: Oh. Later.
Antonio: I love you.
Carlotta: Bye-bye.
Antonio: Bye. I -- I'm sorry. I mean, about the baby stuff. She means well.
Keri: I don't mind.
Antonio: You -- you seem --
Keri: I just -- I feel bad about leaving my mom alone for so long, so, let's go find her, ok? There's a lot we need to talk about.
Antonio: All right.
Cristian: Hey, guys. Has either one of you seen Natalie?
***********************************************
Natalie: No, I do not want to tell you anything. I want you to get out of my face!
Al: Come on, Natalie. If you want Cristian, I can help you.
Natalie: I -- I don't! I don't! And even if I did, it's not going to happen. I can't have him, and it's never going to happen with you and Jen except in your dreams.
Al: Yeah, well, you may be able to walk away, but I can't. Not ever.
Natalie: Al, when are you going to realize that love isn't supposed to be this hard? When it's meant to be, it just happens.
Al: Oh, whatever. In what fairy tale?
Natalie: Jen and Cristian are together forever, and there's nothing you or I or anybody else is going to be able to do about that.
Al: What happened to you, Natalie? You used to be tough, you know? You'd see something you wanted, you'd go out and get it. What's the matter? Scared?
Natalie: No. I'm sick of you. Now, I was here first. Get out of my face and leave me alone.
***********************************************
Antonio: I haven't seen her.
Keri: No, I haven't, either.
Antonio: Hey, you ok?
Keri: I'm -- I'm going to go check on my mom. You guys take all the time you need, ok?
Antonio: Yeah, yeah. Look, I'll be there as soon as I can, ok?
Keri: Cristian, I hope everything's all right.
Cristian: Thanks.
Antonio: What's going on?
Cristian: It's -- it's a long story. You just got back. I don't want to dump my problems on you.
Antonio: Look, if you've got problems, I've got more than enough time to listen. Have a seat.
Cristian: Well, I finally did it. I told Natalie how I feel about her.
Antonio: Hold it, all right? You told Natalie what?
Cristian: That I'm in love with her, man.
Antonio: You're kidding. No, I mean, I knew you were sort of -- wow, ok. I guess you're not confused anymore.
Cristian: Not about that.
Antonio: All right, and Natalie feels the same way?
Cristian: Yeah.
Antonio: Well, that's good, right?
Cristian: Yeah, it is.
Antonio: Ok, have you broken the "good news" to Jen?
Cristian: I tried, but I didn't get that far.
Antonio: Well, you gotta do it.
Cristian: Well, I was trying, and then Jen -- she came up with her own "good news."
Antonio: She broke up with you?
Cristian: Not exactly. She's pregnant.
***********************************************
Hank: Mrs. Asa Buchanan. Pfft! What a joke.
Jen: I'm sorry?
Hank: Oh, hi, Jen. Sorry. I didn't realize I said that out loud. You looking for Cristian?
Jen: Yeah, yeah. Actually, I am. Do you know where he is?
Hank: No, no, I haven't seen him. Carlotta -- she stepped out for a moment, but she'll be back soon.
Jen: Yeah, she never leaves this place for long.
Hank: Right.
Jen: Thank you.
Hank: You bet.
Jen: She'd better get back here soon, because Mamacita's the one that's going to get Cristian to marry me.
Carlotta: My staff knows better than to let the District Attorney's cup run dry.
Hank: Thank you, Carlotta.
Carlotta: You're welcome.
Hank: Yeah. Carlotta, what do you think about Rae Cummings marrying Asa Buchanan?
Carlotta: Ugh, she's obviously lost her mind.
Hank: That's what I'm thinking.
Carlotta: I mean, you don't need to be a therapist to know that Asa is trouble. I mean, who would want to be someone's 12th wife?
Hank: Technically, 12th marriage, 10th wife.
Carlotta: Even so, she must have been beyond desperate.
Hank: Yeah, well, if only she'd come to me first.
Carlotta: What did you say?
Gabrielle: "A guy thing." What sort of stupid excuse is that?
Carlotta: Coffee?
Gabrielle: Téa.
Gabrielle: I suppose the next thing he's going to do -- he's probably going to paint his face and just bang on his chest.
Hank: Gabrielle, is something wrong?
Gabrielle: No. Ahem -- hi, Hank. No, nothing. Just had a little -- just had a little tiff with my roommate.
Hank: Bo?
Gabrielle: How many roommates do I have?
Hank: Ok. Well, what sort of tiff?
Gabrielle: Oh, the usual roommate disagreement -- who left the bloody soap scum in the shower? Who left the bloody dishes in the kitchen sink?
Bo: [Amplified voice] Attention. Attention, Angel Square.
Gabrielle: Is that Bo?
Bo: This is Police Commissioner Bo Buchanan with an announcement of vital importance to the citizens of Llanview. Gabrielle Medina, Style Editor of "The Banner," is no longer just my roommate. We are romantically involved. I repeat, we are now romantically involved.
Bo: And I, for one, am very, very happy about that.
***********************************************
R.J.: Elizabeth --
Liz: Please, don’t. That was a long time ago. I was just a teenager. I don't want to dig it all up again.
R.J.: But we haven't spoken since --
Liz: Since what? You went away? Are you surprised?
R.J.: A little.
Liz: That's exactly why I didn't want to see you.
[R.J. sighs]
R.J.: If you didn't want to see me, why did you come to Llanview? You had to know I live here. Why come back with Keri now, after all this time?
Liz: I did it for Keri.
R.J.: For Keri? Why?
Liz: I just lost my husband. I wanted to see her. Is that so hard for you to understand?
R.J.: But you had to know you'd run into me. If you really didn't want to see me --
Liz: I thought this could be avoided, but obviously -- hey, I was mistaken.
R.J.: Oh, if you really cared about Keri, how could you keep her father a secret from her all these years?
Liz: You know, this isn't even about you, R.J. It never has been.
R.J.: What do you mean? What did I mean to you? Was I just some anonymous donor?
Liz: I don't need to listen to this.
Keri: This wasn't supposed to happen. What did you say to her?
R.J.: No, stop. Wait. Let me handle it.
***********************************************
Antonio: She's pregnant? How?
Cristian: What do you mean, "how"?
Antonio: Well, I mean, didn't you use protection?
Cristian: Yeah, of course I did. I guess nothing's 100%. Look, it just happened, ok? It's real. The doctor confirmed it, Antonio.
Antonio: Wow. All right, talk about lousy timing.
Cristian: Yeah, the worst.
Antonio: All right, and -- well, does Natalie know?
Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I went to find her as soon as I could so we could figure out what to do.
Antonio: How'd she take it?
Cristian: Terrible. Because before I had a chance to tell her, Jen shows up and announces that we're getting married.
Antonio: What?
Cristian: We never even talked about marriage, Antonio. She just assumed it. And why wouldn't she? I mean, she just has no idea that I'm in love with somebody else.
Antonio: Well, I mean, you gotta tell her -- soon.
Cristian: You should've seen the look on Natalie’s face, man. She was crushed, and she ran away before I had a chance to explain anything.
Antonio: Well, she hasn't come by here, or at least I haven't seen her.
Cristian: I know I need to find her, but what am I going to do then? I'm really stuck, Antonio. Anything, either way, somebody gets hurt really bad.
Antonio: Look, Cris, the first thing you need to do is tell Jen how you feel about Natalie.
Cristian: And I tried, man. But before I could say anything, she took off to pick up some prenatal vitamins. Man, I tell you, none of this seems real. She's having my baby, Antonio.
Antonio: Yeah. Uh, look, Cris, you can't deny how you feel, all right, and you certainly can't let Jen go on thinking that you're still in love with her.
Cristian: But she's counting on me to be there for her and the baby.
Antonio: Yeah, and you will be. Ok, you're just not going to be married to her, and that way it doesn't change how you feel about Natalie, either.
Cristian: No. No, it doesn't. I've never met anyone like Natalie, Antonio. She acts tough, but underneath she's -- she's fragile. She just doesn't like to show it. And if she lets you see what's going on inside her heart, you can see that she's not tough at all, and I want to be there for her, Antonio. I want to -- I want to make sure that she's not alone. I can't help it, man. That's the way I feel. I'm in love with her, and now that's going to be impossible.
Antonio: No, no, Cris, it's not. Look, we're not -- we're not in 1950, ok? Look, and besides, how do you think Jen’s going to feel when she finds out that you're with her just because of the baby?
Cristian: Maybe I shouldn't tell her. She's happy.
Antonio: Ay, Cristian, por favor.
Cristian: We have a life together, Antonio, and now she's pregnant. I did love her, man. I really did.
Antonio: This is why you owe her the truth. Look, Cris, the longer you keep this inside, the more likely something ugly is going to happen.
Cristian: What if I tell her and she gets so upset that --
Antonio: That what?
Cristian: That something happens to the baby?
Antonio: Oh, Cristian, please, ok? Look, she's a lot tougher than you think. And don't forget, she's Lindsay Rappaport’s daughter.
Cristian: Exactly. She's had enough grief to last her a lifetime. I tell you, man, I felt terrible about this before, but now it's --
Antonio: Yeah. Look, I -- I would feel the same way. Ok? Jen -- she's young and she's resilient, and she's going to get over it in time. And sooner or later, she'll find somebody, somebody that does love her. In the meantime, you're there for her and the baby. And you can still be together with Natalie.
Cristian: It's not that easy.
Antonio: Look -- I know, Cris. Ok, that's not what I'm saying. Ok, I know it's going to be hard.
Cristian: The only thing that I'm really sure of is that I need to find Natalie.
Al: I can help you do that.
Antonio: Well, look, I gotta catch up to Keri. Are you going to be ok?
Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I'll be fine. You go ahead. Thanks.
Antonio: All right. If you need me, you can call me on my cell.
Cristian: Yeah.
Al: Did you hear what I said? If you're looking for Natalie, I know where she is.
Cristian: Where?
Al: Must be pretty important.
Cristian: Come on, Al. Where is she?
Al: And what's going on between you two, anyway?
***********************************************
Bo: For anyone who may have missed it, Commissioner Bo Buchanan and Style Editor Gabrielle Medina are more than just roommates and more than just friends. Much, much more. And that is all. Out.
Carlotta: And here's your tea.
Gabrielle: Who wants bloody tea at a time like this!
Hank: All right, Carlotta, here. Thank you for the coffee. I wouldn't miss this for all the tea in your diner. Got to go. See you later. Oh, Jen, great. Just in time. Carlotta's back. See you later. Welcome back. Got to go.
Jen: Mrs. Vega.
Carlotta: Hi, Jen. It's wonderful to see you. Oh, listen, I'm planning a big engagement party for Antonio and Keri, and I thought you might like to help with the planning.
Jen: Great. The wedding. Of course. Of course I'll help. I'm happy for them.
[Jen sighs]
Carlotta: Jen? What's wrong?
***********************************************
Cristian: All right, cut it out, Al. Do you know where Natalie is or don't you?
Al: She was at the quarry. She looked really upset. I hope she's all right. Yes! I'm still in the game.
***********************************************
Gabrielle: Attention, citizens of Llanview. This is Gabrielle Medina. I would like to thank Commissioner Buchanan for his earlier broadcast and publicly apologize to him for being such a pathetic, insecure, lily-livered roommate and friend and all the rest of it, etc., etc., ad infinitum. Over and out.
***********************************************
Jen: I'm fine, really.
Carlotta: No, you're not. Something's bothering you, Jen. You can tell me, Sweetheart. You're family.
Jen: I just need to eat something. That's why I came in here. I'm just feeling a little bit woozy, you know?
Carlotta: I'll get you some toast, and then you can figure out what you want to have. Oh! Jen, what's happening? Are you ok?
Jen: Yeah, I'm just -- I just feel a little dizzy.
Carlotta: Hold on. Here. Here, drink this -- slowly.
***********************************************
Gabrielle: Thank you for doing that.
Bo: Well, you know, I wanted to take out an ad, but I just thought this situation called for a quick response.
Gabrielle: It was very gallant.
Bo: I'm glad you think so because, I'll tell you what, the guys down at the station -- I'm never going to hear the end of this one.
Gabrielle: Oh, right. It wasn't a "guy" thing to do.
Bo: No. It wasn't a civic leader thing to do, either. "The Sun's" going to have a field day with this one, huh?
Gabrielle: Well, I'll make sure "The Banner" overlooks it, at least.
Bo: Don't bother. Just as long as you're convinced that I am not ashamed of you or of us.
Gabrielle: I admit my insecurities got the best of me. And so, for the record, I am now stating that I don't feel that there's anything I need to be insecure about anymore.
Bo: Good, because you don’t.
Gabrielle: But --
Bo: But what?
Gabrielle: All I really wanted was for you to tell Hank.
Bo: Oh, jeez.
***********************************************
Cristian: Jen?
Cristian: Natalie?
***********************************************
Carlotta: Jen, what are you doing with this book?
Jen: You shouldn't have seen that. I didn't want you to find out this way.
Carlotta: Find out what? Jen, are you and Cristian having a baby?

Liz: Oh -- Hank.
Hank: Liz? Wow, it's really you. Come here! How are you? Hey.
Liz: Oh, Hank.
Hank: Wait a minute. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa -- are you ok?
***********************************************
Antonio: I'm sorry it took so long, Honey.
Keri: Oh, that's ok. Is your brother all right?
Antonio: Yeah, yeah, he's fine. I mean, he's -- it's going to be rough for a little while, but, you know what? Let's talk about that later. Where's your mom?
Keri: She was upset and went running out of here.
Antonio: What? Why?
Keri: Apparently, she and R.J. saw each other, and they got into it.
Antonio: Oh, well, don't you want to go after her?
Keri: R.J. went. I think they need to work things out by themselves. And I need to talk to you.
Antonio: Ok.
Keri: I wanted my mom to be here, but since she's not -- want to sit down?
Antonio: I mean, what is it, Honey?
Keri: Oh. I don't know where to begin.
Antonio: You can tell me anything.
Keri: Ok. My mother has wanted another child -- has desperately wanted another child for a very, very long time.
Antonio: So, your mom's pregnant?
Keri: No. But I might be.

Antonio: What are you saying, that you're having your mother's baby?
Liz: Obviously R.J.'s got more to say, so let's finish it.
Sam: I think you're the strongest, most amazing woman I've ever met.
Natalie: Jen's pregnant and you're going to marry her.
Al: Jen, what's up? What's wrong?
