Antonio: This woman -- she sort of gave me the strength to come back home.

Liz: I don't even know his name.

Keri: Mom, what's going on?

Seth: Think I'll drop in on Rex’s hometown. If he's hiding anything, that's where I'll find it.

Rex: Seth's going to Michigan to see Aunt Corinne.

Cristian: I'm in love with you, Natalie.

Natalie: What about Jen? You're with Jen. What do we do about her?

***********************************************

 [Knock on door]

Carlotta: Tonio!

Antonio: Mami.

Carlotta: Oh, you're back!

Antonio: Yeah, I'm back.

Carlotta: Oh, I'm so glad. I was so worried!

Antonio: Oh, no, it's ok. Look, I'm fine.

Carlotta: You had me so scared -- going out of town like that -- and after what happened, after shooting Ben Davidson.

Antonio: Mami, I -- I didn't mean to scare you. I just wasn't thinking real straight at the time.

Carlotta: Well, thank God I knew you didn't so far.

Antonio: How did you know that?

Carlotta: My friend Innocencia from church. She was driving on her way to Pittsburgh. She saw you.

Antonio: She did? Where?

Carlotta: At a roadside motel not so far out of town -- with some woman.

***********************************************

Keri: Mom, are you pregnant?

Liz: Yes. No. I don't know, Keri.

***********************************************

Jessica: I am so glad we came home.

Seth: You are? I thought you liked dancing with me.

Jessica: Oh, of course I do. But I don't like sharing you with the whole party. I wish you weren't going away.

Seth: Me, too.

Jessica: Why do you have to go away, anyway?

Seth: Uh -- well, because --

Jessica: This doesn't have something to do with Rex, does it?

***********************************************

Rex: We both know the real reason that Aunt Corinne took me away from you and why she didn't take Natalie.

Roxy: Well, you know what? I think you know too much.

Rex: And we both know what you had to do with it.

Roxy: Hey, Rexy -- hey, Sweetie-pie --

Rex: What's your guess what Natalie would think if she knew the truth, the whole truth about what you did?

Roxy: She doesn't, does she?

Rex: No, but I don't think Natalie would be too understanding about it, do you?

Cristian: I love you, Natalie, and I'm going to find a way to make Jen understand that. Somehow, I'm going to find a way to make Jen understand that you're the one for me.

Natalie: Did you hear something?

Cristian: Like what?

Natalie: I don't know. I thought I heard something.

Cristian: It was probably just the wind.

Natalie: Yeah, probably. I'm just a little worried that something might wreck this for us tonight.

Cristian: Nothing is going to wreck this for us. But I do need to go.

Natalie: Right now?

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I gotta find Jen. I gotta talk to her, own up to the way I've treated her -- which was pretty bad.

Natalie: I know this isn't going to be easy for you.

Cristian: But I can't keep the truth from her any longer. It's not fair to her or to you.

Natalie: No, don't think about me. Jen's what's important right now. You tell her however and whenever you think it's right.

Cristian: Yeah, but there's no point in waiting. Jen deserves to know the truth. And you deserve better than hiding in the shadows. I want to be free to love you.

Natalie: I want that, too.

Cristian: I'd better go.

Natalie: Um -- I know that I can't go with you because this is between you and Jen. But I wish there was something I could do to help.

Cristian: You have helped. Before tonight, I -- I didn't know you loved me. I thought I'd missed my chance with you. And for the past couple days, that's all I could think about. I was trying to deal with it, but I couldn't.

Natalie: It's an awful feeling, isn't it?

Cristian: Like being lost? All alone?

Natalie: Yeah.

Cristian: But then you were out here and you told me that you loved me and that you wanted to be with me. And let's just say that made me really happy.

Natalie: You've made me really happy, too.

***********************************************

Antonio: Yes, that woman. Her car broke down. I was driving by, and she was from out of town, too, so I ended up taking her to a motel while her car was being repaired.

Carlotta: And I bet you would have fixed it yourself if you could have.

Antonio: Well, I tried, but I don't have Papi's touch.

Carlotta: That's my son. Even though things are going wrong for you, you're willing to help someone else.

Antonio: Actually, things -- things are starting to look up.

Carlotta: They are?

Antonio: Yes. Keri and I -- we are back together.

Carlotta: Oh, that's wonderful! But how? What happened?

Antonio: It's -- it's sort of a long story.

Carlotta: And I don't have a lot of time?

Antonio: Sit. Well, when -- when Keri found out about the shooting and everything that happened after that, she wanted to let me know how much she loved me and that nothing -- not even her father -- could come between us.

Carlotta: She's a good woman.

Antonio: The best. And I love her very much, Mami.

Carlotta: So, where is she? I want to see her, too.

Antonio: Actually, she's in Chicago. Her stepfather just died.

Carlotta: Ay, que terrible.

Antonio: Yes. Yeah, it is. But -- so I ended up going to see her.

Carlotta: Today? And you're back so soon?

Antonio: I -- I had to see her. I had to be with her. And -- and being with her, Mami -- she's so incredible. I mean, even -- even with everything she's going through, she's still thinking of me.

Carlotta: I'm so glad you found your way back to each other.

Antonio: Yes, it's -- I can't believe how much my life has turned around.

Carlotta: I'm so happy for you, mijo.

Antonio: It's -- it's pretty incredible.

Carlotta: But --

Antonio: But -- but what?

Carlotta: But your problem with Keri -- that wasn't your only problem. I mean, this shooting with Ben Davidson -- they're going to have a hearing, a review?

Antonio: Yeah, an Internal Affairs review.

Carlotta: So -- so what should I do? I mean, you need to call some of your friends. You need to have some character witnesses that testify for you.

Antonio: It's a little late for that.

Carlotta: But don't say that.

Antonio: I mean, the review is tonight. That's why I flew back from Chicago so soon.

Carlotta: Oh, well, then, we have to hurry. What can I do?

Antonio: Just keep me in your prayers and know that Keri and I are solid now. And so long as I know that, I can pretty much handle just about anything thrown my way.

***********************************************

Liz: You'd think I'd know if I was pregnant or not, right? But it's just a little complicated. You know how much Steve and I always wanted another child.

Keri: Well, I know that you talked about it for years, but with your heart condition --

Liz: I know. After you moved to Llanview, I was -- I was just feeling pretty alone.

Keri: Oh. I wasn't very understanding, was I?

Liz: No, honey, it's not your fault. It was me. I was just upset the whole way I handled the whole think about who your father is.

Keri: It was just a shock, you know?

Liz: I know --

Keri: I mean, it was a lot for me to absorb.

Liz: I know. I just -- I felt like I was a failure for you.

Keri: Mom, no.

Liz: Like I failed as a mother.

Keri: No, never.

Liz: Anyway, Steve was really supportive, and that's when we decided it was a perfect time to try and have another baby.

Keri: Yeah, but, Mom, with your heart condition --

Liz: I know.

Keri: That's why you never actually tried to get pregnant before.

Liz: I know, but -- that's why we also hired a surrogate to carry our baby to term. See, most couples in our position choose in vitro fertilization nowadays.

Keri: Yeah, but isn't that the only way it's possible?

Liz: Well, I thought so, but -- I found out there's a new procedure that allows a woman to potentially transfer the embryo from her womb into that of a surrogate mother just shortly after you conceive.

Keri: "Potentially"?

Liz: Potentially, meaning you have to do the procedure before you even know if you are really pregnant. And then you just cross your fingers and you hope and you wait, see if the surrogate's carrying your baby.

Keri: Wow.

Liz: Steve and I have been working with the surrogate for months now, and no luck.

Keri: Mom, that must have been so hard on you. Why didn't you call me?

Liz: I couldn't, Keri. And then Steve died on our second honeymoon, and -- I just sort of forgot about the whole thing.

Keri: Of course you did.

Liz: And then tonight I saw the date. And I realized that I might be pregnant.

Keri: Mom, you really think so?

Liz: I know it's -- it's early, but I just -- I have this feeling, this sense, you know, that I am.

Keri: So that means that Steve and -- you and Steve were together right before he died?

Liz: I don't know how to tell you this. I -- it's a lot more complicated than that.

***********************************************c

Seth: Why do you think the fact that I'm going away has something to do with Rex?

Jessica: Because you don't seem to want to tell me why you're going away.

Seth: Jessica --

Jessica: And I know you don't like Rex.

Seth: It's not that I don't like him.

Jessica: It's not?

Seth: No. I don't trust him.

Jessica: Seth, you have to get over that. He's my brother.

Seth: And I know you're happy that he's sticking around.

Jessica: Yes, I am. And he's not scamming me, you know, if you still think that.

Seth: He was spending a lot of your money.

Jessica: He's not anymore. Look what he did tonight. He gave me back the money that I lent him.

Seth: Yeah, that's true.

Jessica: He told me he wanted to make it on his own. He didn't want to have to depend on me.

Seth: I remember.

Jessica: Ok. So, why would he say that if he was using me for my money?

Seth: I don't know. It's just --

Jessica: What?

Seth: There's a lot about Rex we don't know.

[Phone rings]

Jessica: Hold on a second. Hello? Mom!

***********************************************

Roxy: Hey, kid, I don't know what you're talking about.

Rex: You don't?

Roxy: No. You know, I don't care about Natalie. You know, she's not my kid and she never was.

Rex: No, you're right, she isn’t.

Roxy: So, then, what's your problem?

Rex: But I am your real son, and I found out a whole lot about you and dear, old, dead dad from Aunt Corinne.

Roxy: Oh, really? What'd you hear?

Rex: And what she didn't tell me, I found out by going through all her stuff --

[Roxy laughs]

Rex: All her papers.

Roxy: Oh, yeah, your Aunt Corinne, she's so high and mighty, she had to save you from big, bad Roxy. And it turns out that she raised a dirty, little sneak.

Rex: She didn't do anything.

Roxy: Well, I think she had a crummy influence on you.

Rex: I just turned out like Mom, that's all.

Roxy: Oh, really? And what's that supposed to mean?

Rex: I know a good thing when I see it. Except I'm smarter than you.

[Roxy laughs]

Roxy: You're smarter than me? Who says?

Rex: I'm not going to blow my chance with the Buchanans -- not when they can give me serious money for the rest of my life.

Roxy: Well, you know, I think you're smarter than I thought. But you ain't as smart as me, and you know why? Because I married money.

Rex: Problem is, is that jerk Seth Anderson is going to Michigan to find out all about me.

Roxy: Well, then, don't join that fraternity.

Rex: He thinks that I'm up to something, and he wants to find out what it is.

Roxy: Well, then you gotta stop him!

Rex: I know! I can't let him go to Michigan. And I know you wouldn't want him to go, either.

Roxy: I don't care. He's not going to check me out.

Rex: You think Aunt Corinne will just tell him about me? You're going to start helping me right now, or you're going to be very, very sorry.

Roxy: You're dreaming, kiddo. You know, I don't need anything from your sisters -- either one of them.

Rex: So?

Roxy: And I don't have to be in anybody's good graces. So the three of you -- you can all go jump in the ocean.

Rex: Thanks, Mom. I'm touched.

Roxy: Hey, Honey, I'm Mrs. Max Holden, and nobody can touch me.

Rex: So that's it?

Roxy: Yeah, in a nutshell, I think that's it.

Rex: I was kind of wondering one thing, though.

Roxy: What?

Rex: Can being Mrs. Max Holden keep you out of prison?

***********************************************

Antonio: I was so focused on getting R.J. I mean, I lost control.

Carlotta: Don't say that!

Antonio: I was angry, ok, when I should have been cool and professional. And I will never forgive myself for that.

Carlotta: Do you have any guarantee that things would have turned out any differently had you been "cool and professional," as you call it?

Antonio: Mami, the point is Ben is in an irreversible coma and it's because of me.

Carlotta: Don't punish yourself.

Antonio: Mami, it's not about punishment. I know it was an accident.

Carlotta: Gracias a Dios.

Antonio: But I can't ever forget it. Look, I -- when Viki returns, I'm going to have to face her. And it's not going to be something -- it's not going to come easy, Mom.

Carlotta: But with God's help, you'll do it. Because you're my son and you have your faith. You're a strong, caring, and compassionate man, Antonio.

Antonio: Mami, I took away her husband, and there's nothing I can do to ever bring him back. I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life.

Carlotta: But think about it. Taking away your badge is never going to bring Ben back, either.

Antonio: No, that's true, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

Carlotta: Antonio, you are a great policeman. You're Bo Buchanan’s right-hand man.

Antonio: Right, and the commissioner will find another right-hand man. Look, Mami, you're going to have to face it. There's a good chance that I might loose my badge -- permanently.

R.J.: Well, now, that sounds like the best thing for everyone.

***********************************************

Cristian: So I'm going to find Jen right now and tell her everything.

Natalie: Are you sure?

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I have to tell her the truth. Only I don't know how long it's going to take or how she's going to react.

Natalie: She'll probably be pretty upset.

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I know. But I'll do everything I can to make her feel better -- if there's anything I can do to make her feel better.

Natalie: I'm sure you'll think of something.

Cristian: I wouldn't blame her if she hated me.

Natalie: You didn't do this on purpose. Neither of us did.

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, I know.

Natalie: You think maybe she knows?

Cristian: No, no, that's the really bad part. I don’t think she has a clue.

Natalie: I just feel so sorry for her. And for you to have to tell her.

Cristian: Anyway, once it's finally over, I think I'm going to need to see you.

Natalie: I'll be desperate to see you, too.

Cristian: Everything will be out in the open. We can be together.

Natalie: Yes, we can.

Cristian: And I don't know if I can be able to stop myself. I'm going to need to hold you again.

Natalie: Really? Tonight?

Cristian: And I'm going to need to hear you say that you love me. Because once I hear you say that and once we're together again, I'm going to know that I've done the right thing.

Natalie: You know that when you're with me?

Cristian: When I'm with you, I know that everything's going to be all right. So once I'm finished with Jen, I'll come find you.

Natalie: And we can be together. Really together.

Cristian: Tonight and every night.

Natalie: I can't wait.

Cristian: But it's going to take me a while.

Natalie: You know what? It doesn't matter how late it is or even if I can't see you until the morning -- as long as I see you as soon as possible, as soon as I can.

Cristian: So I'll come to Llanfair.

Natalie: Yeah, but I kind of wanted it to be just the two of us alone. I know. I'll wait for you on the terrace.

Cristian: I'll be there. Only it might take a while. I mean, I have to be fair to Jen -- as fair as possible.

Natalie: I know. And these things take time. So I'll wait. I'll wait forever if I have to.

Cristian: See you at the terrace.

Natalie: Forever. I'll wait for you forever.

***********************************************

Jen: Oh, I hate them. I hate them. Ugh! Sitting there holding each other, saying how much they're in love. How could they do this? How could they do this to me? After all I've done, and what do I get? What do I get? I get Cristian telling me that he's being noble and he's going to dump me. No, I don't think so! I'm not going to let them hurt me like this. I sleep with Al twice, and he can't even manage to get me pregnant. Oh, damn it!

***********************************************

Jessica: Ok. Yeah. I love you, too. Bye.

Seth: What'd your mom say?

Jessica: There's no change in Ben’s condition.

Seth: How long can someone stay in a coma like that?

Jessica: I don't know. Could be a long time. They said there's not even a sign that he may wake up.

Seth: How's your mom dealing?

Jessica: She's good. She's ok, you know? There's some progress in her therapy. She's trying to figure out why Niki Smith came back after all these years.

Seth: Jessica --

Jessica: Just praying, you know? Praying that she's going to be ok.

Seth: She will be. She's really strong.

Jessica: Yeah, but she was fine for all those years, you know?

Seth: She's fine now. They're going to figure this out, I promise.

Jessica: It's hard. It was so hard finding out that she was Niki Smith. I mean, even thinking that I lost my mother again --

Seth: You and your mom are really close, huh?

Jessica: Doesn't even begin to describe it. She's everything to me. She's always been there. I -- I can't imagine my life without her.

Seth: And you don't have to. She's going to come back. She'll be here for you, I swear.

Jessica: Yeah. You know, when Allison -- when Allison said what she did -- how she switched me and Natalie -- I thought my life was over. I thought it would never be the same again. But then I was thinking, you know, it doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Just because my mom's not my biological mother doesn't mean that she doesn't love me, you know? I still have my dad. I still have my brothers. I still have everything that I've grown up with.

Seth: And you always will.

Jessica: Yeah, I even thought maybe there'd be some weird silver lining in it all.

Seth: Yeah. Trust you to find that silver lining.

Jessica: Yeah. I thought I'd find my biological mother and she'd be great, you know? She'd tell me something about myself that I didn't know, but something that made total sense, you know?

Seth: Yeah, I can see how you'd think that.

Jessica: I thought I'd have this completely new person in my life. Somebody who had always loved me, she just never wanted me to be taken away, you know?

Seth: Jessie, come on. It --

Jessica: I don't know. I'm -- I feel like an idiot.

Seth: You're not an idiot, ok?

Jessica: You have to say that. You're my boyfriend.

Seth: It's the truth. You tried so hard to have a relationship with Roxanne. She's the one that blew it.

Jessica: Yeah, you're right, she did. But she taught me something, you know? She -- she showed me that nobody else can be my mom except my mom.

Seth: You're right about that. Mrs. Davidson loves you so much.

Jessica: I love her so much. I don't know. I guess I just wish my biological mom wasn't such a disappointment, you know?

Seth: Yeah, she's a piece of work, that one.

Jessica: Well, hey, at least Rex isn't anything like Roxy. Who knows? Maybe Rex was the silver lining I was thinking about the entire time.

***********************************************

Roxy: You know, I don't got a clue what you're mouthing off about.

Rex: Sure you do. That's why you were so nervous when I first showed up here. That's why you didn't want Natalie to tell Jessica I even existed.

Roxy: What are you, crazy? I didn't want you to surprise her -- I mean, after everything that she's been through.

Rex: It's because of what you did.

Roxy: Hey, I didn't do anything wrong.

Rex: Natalie told me how you helped Niki Smith. She told me all about how you were her alibi when she pushed Dr. Davidson through the window.

Roxy: Well, I didn't know that she was loony tunes. How am I supposed to know that?

Rex: Or how about the way you scammed Jessica?

Roxy: Hey, I told you, that was Allison’s idea.

Rex: What about how you raised Natalie? Do you have an excuse for that? How badly you treated her?

Roxy: Ancient history, ok?

Rex: So?

Roxy: So -- well, you don't go to prison for that kind of stuff -- you know, that alibi thing.

Rex: Hey, you know what? I'm not talking about how you helped Mrs. Davidson.

Roxy: All right. Well, then, what are you talking about?

Rex: Something else you did a long time ago.

Roxy: Well, I can't go to prison for something I did a long time ago -- the -- whatchamacallit --

Rex: The statute of limitations?

Roxy: Whatever.

Rex: It hasn’t. Wasn't that long ago. Although you -- you didn't do it alone. Dad helped. I guess that's why I'm so good at all this. It's in the genes.

Roxy: Which you got from me, and don't you ever forget it.

Rex: What's she going to say when I tell her what you did, Mom?

Roxy: Hey, I didn't do nothing else to Natalie.

Rex: I'm not talking about what you did to Natalie, and you know it. I'm talking about what you did to Jessica.

***********************************************

R.J.: I saw your car. I thought I'd drop by.

Antonio: Why?

R.J.: Well, I called the police station earlier, and I learned Internal Affairs is holding a hearing tonight concerning the wrongful shooting of dr. Ben Davidson.

Antonio: And what concern is that of yours?

R.J.: Well, I live in this town, don't I? And I certainly know better than most that a cop who can't control himself, who can't control his temper -- well, he becomes a danger to the public.

Antonio: Say what you gotta say and get out.

R.J.: Well, I just wanted to urge you to face up to the fruits of your violent temper.

Antonio: Fine. Now, leave.

R.J.: It undoubtedly played a part in your reckless behavior up at that cabin -- putting poor Dr. Davidson in a coma. It certainly cost you Keri.

Carlotta: How dare you --

Antonio: It's all right, Mami.

Carlotta: No, it's not all right.

Antonio: Look --

Carlotta: What about all he did to you and Cristian?

Antonio: Mami, I need to speak to R.J. alone.

Carlotta: Esta seguro?

Antonio: I'll see you later, all right?

Carlotta: Cuidate.

Antonio: Ok.

R.J.: You know, I'd reconsider using her as a character witness. I mean, then everyone will see exactly where you get that terrible temper.

Antonio: I wouldn't worry about that, R.J. See; I am prepared to deal with whatever internal affairs decides.

R.J.: Hmm. That's awfully upstanding of you.

Antonio: Oh, and I wouldn't worry about Keri and me, either.

R.J.: Well, no, I never worry about Keri. She can take care of herself.

Antonio: Yes, yes, she can. But I just wanted you to know that, you know, her and I -- we cleared things up. And, actually, she was in my arms a few hours ago.

R.J.: That's lucky you aren't under oath now.

Antonio: It's the truth.

R.J.: Keri isn't even in Llanview. She's gone to --

Antonio: Chicago. She's with her mom.

***********************************************

Liz: My getting pregnant -- maybe getting pregnant -- it's not like all those other months Steve and I were trying, Keri.

Keri: What do you mean?

Liz: I -- I --

Keri: Oh, of course.

Liz: It --

Keri: You and Steve weren't trying to get pregnant this month.

Liz: What?

Keri: You never would have gone to Africa. You wouldn't want to be that far away from the surrogate mother if the transfer had to happen right after conception, like you said -- before you even knew you were pregnant. That's it, isn't it?

Liz: Yeah. Exactly.

Keri: So the reason you might be pregnant -- it was just an accident?

Liz: Yeah. It was. A huge accident. I didn't even realize it might be possible until I saw the date on the paper a little while ago.

Keri: But you might be.

Liz: Yeah. That's why I got on the phone and I called the surrogate, just try and arrange a procedure.

Keri: Mom, when you were on the phone, it sounded like the surrogate refused.

Liz: She did.

Keri: Well, you have to find somebody else.

Liz: Honey, it's too late. There's only a certain amount of time that you can even do the procedure at all. I mean, tomorrow is even going to be too late. There's no way. I can't find somebody else this late.

Keri: But, mom, if you are pregnant, that means you'll have to carry the baby to term.

Liz: If I'm pregnant -- I'll find out soon enough.

Keri: But you can’t. Your body won't be able to.

Liz: I don't have any other choice, Keri.

Keri: Yes, you do have a choice, Mom. You can't do this!

Liz: Yes, Keri, I will. I have to.

Keri: Mom, you're not thinking clearly here. You have a serious heart condition.

Liz: I know that, Keri.

Keri: The doctor specifically told you that you cannot carry a baby to term!

Liz: Look, no doctor can know that for sure.

Keri: Yeah, but you can't take that chance! Steve wouldn't want you to take that chance.

Liz: Don't tell me what Steve would want.

Keri: Ok, fine. I will not let you take that chance.

Liz: It's not your decision.

Keri: Mom, you can't do this. Why are you insisting on having this baby?

Liz: You know why, Keri. You know why more than anybody else.

Keri: Oh. Yes, I do.

***********************************************

Jessica: All right. Well, my mom asked me to take care of a few things after we got off the phone.

Seth: You should do that, then.

Jessica: Yeah, but I wanted to talk to you -- finish our conversation about your trip.

Seth: I'll tell you about it before I leave, in the morning.

Jessica: Seth --

Seth: I promised Mr. Holden I'd help him out tonight at the bar.

Jessica: Ok.

Seth: I'd better get going.

Jessica: All right. Well, promise me that we'll talk about it in the morning.

Seth: Cross my heart.

Jessica: Ok. Bye.

Seth: I'll see you later.

Jessica: I'm glad we got everything cleared up about Rex. You don't have to worry about my brother anymore.

Seth: Tomorrow you're going to have to know I'm checking out your brother. And I'll tell you exactly why.

***********************************************

Roxy: I didn't do nothing to Jessica. I mean, that scam -- that was --

Rex: I'm not talking about that! I'm talking about what you did to her a long time ago, when she was a baby.

Roxy: I don't remember. I don't know what you're talking about.

Rex: You know what you did -- just after Jessica was born, before Allison even got a chance to switch her with Natalie.

[Phone rings]

Roxy: You know, you'd better get that.

Rex: Hello?

Jessica: Hey, it's Jessica. Where are you? When are you coming home?

Rex: Hey, Jessica, I was just talking --

Jessica: Rex? Rex? That's weird.

Natalie: Hey, Jessica.

Jessica: Oh. Hey, I'm glad you're here. I was worried about you.

Natalie: How come?

Jessica: Well, I saw you run out of the dance. Are you ok?

Natalie: Oh, I am more than ok.

Jessica: Why are you so happy?

Natalie: Only the most wonderful thing in the world has happened tonight.

***********************************************

Cristian: Hey, Jen. I've been looking everywhere for you. I went back to the student union, but you were gone.

Jen: How's Antonio? He was glad to see you?

Cristian: Yeah, but -- I didn't actually leave because of Antonio.

Jen: Yeah, I kind of figured that out.

Cristian: You did?

Jen: When you took off and didn't come back -- didn't really know where to go or what to do.

Cristian: Sorry about that.

Jen: I felt so alone, but I guess -- I guess that figures, since I was.

Cristian: I'm sorry, Jen. I didn't mean to just leave you there.

Jen: But you did. And that's why I left the student union and came home. If you feel all alone, guess you might as well be all by yourself.

Cristian: Look, Jen, I'm really sorry I did that. But there was something I -- I had to do. Something that couldn't wait.

Jen: Yeah, I know you wouldn't leave me if you didn't have a really good reason. And I know what that reason is.

***********************************************

Antonio: So I -- I went to Chicago and saw her. But, you know, my hearing's tonight, so I had to fly back here. But you already know that.

R.J.: You don't expect me to believe that.

Antonio: Well, it's the truth. We're back together. I know she wanted to tell you, but you can talk to her when she calls. But you might have to wait because she's been pretty busy with her mom.

R.J.: I'll do that.

Antonio: You really thought you were going to come out on top, didn't you, R.J.? Come on, R.J. You and I both know you helped Lindsay escape. But somehow you managed to dodge that bullet, too.

R.J.: You never learn, do you?

Antonio: And then you -- you thought you did the impossible. You finally broke me and Keri up. Forever, you thought. But you didn't.

R.J.: Good-bye, Vega.

Antonio: You'd better listen to me and listen to me good because I'm only going to say this once. I'm going to go in front of that board tonight, and they may take away my badge. But there's one thing I still have.

R.J.: Yeah, a chokehold on your personal delusions.

Antonio: A clear conscience. I know what happened with Ben Davidson was an accident.

R.J.: Accident? If you say so.

Antonio: I do. And there's something else.

R.J.: Oh, please --

Antonio: No matter what that board says, no matter what they take, they can never take Keri. You see, she's going to be there for me, now and forever. And there is nothing you can say or do to change that. Nothing. Because there's not a force on this earth that can ever destroy what Keri and I have.

***********************************************

Keri: I really do understand why you want to have this baby -- any baby of yours. I was so little when it happened, but I remember it so clearly. I remember how you lost my baby sister right when she was born.

***********************************************

Rex: You stole Jessica when she was a baby.

Roxy: Rexy, please.

Rex: What's she going to do when she finds out that she still doesn't know who her biological mother is? What's going to happen then, huh? Mom? When Jessica finds out that you didn't give birth to her at all.

***********************************************

Jessica: I don't think I've ever seen you this happy.

Natalie: Well, I don't think I've ever been this happy.

Jessica: It must be pretty incredible.

Natalie: It is. I mean, it's so strange because I never, ever in a million years thought it would be possible before tonight. I mean, I can hardly believe that it's true, except that it is -- I mean, I know it is.

Jessica: What is it, ok? Come on. Why are you so happy?

Natalie: I'm in love.

Jessica: You're in love? With who?

***********************************************

Cristian: Jen, are you ok?

Jen: Yeah. Actually, I'm great.

Cristian: You are?

Jen: Don't worry about leaving me at the party. Like I said, I know why you took off.

Cristian: You do?

Jen: Yeah. You had to make sure Natalie was ok.

Cristian: You know about that?

Jen: Why shouldn't I? You're such good friends; it was the right thing to do.

Cristian: Right.

Jen: So don't worry about it.

Cristian: Well, there's more to it than that, Jen.

Jen: There is?

Cristian: Yes. Look, you're right -- I did go to see Natalie. And there's something I -- I really need to tell you.

Jen: Ok. Let me go first.

Cristian: What do you mean?

Jen: There's something I have to tell you.

Cristian: Ok. What?

Jen: The most wonderful thing has happened, Cristian. I'm pregnant.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Man: I know you. You were at my motel the other night with that woman.

Liz: I need this baby.

Roxy: Jessie can't find out that I didn't give birth to her.

Natalie: Cristian. I'm in love with Cristian.

Jen: I'm having your baby. Aren't you happy?
