One Life to Live Transcript Wednesday 9/18/02
>> previously on "One Life to Live" --
Jen: Natalie and Cristian thought they felt guilty before. Just wait.
Bo: Al started the fire, didn't he? You can't protect him forever.
Roxy: As God is my witness, I'm going to make Maxie love me.
Antonio: I don't even know your name.
Liz: I don't know yours, either. Maybe it's better that way.
Keri: Hi, Mom.
***********************************************
Keri you're thinking about the hearing, aren't you?
Antonio: Yeah.
Keri: Everything is going to be ok. I know it is.
Antonio: Yeah? Is that a promise?
Keri: The shooting was an accident. You were trying to save people's lives.
Antonio: Yeah, well, I'm not so sure Internal Affairs is going to see it like that.
Keri: Yes, they will. They have to. It's the truth.
Antonio: You're amazing.
Keri: Why is that?
Antonio: Because you believe in me.
Keri: Of course I believe in you. I always will.
Antonio: No, even -- even after I didn't believe in you.
Keri: It's ok. I understand. You know, I wish I knew how long my mom was going to be gone.
Antonio: Yeah? Well, it was awfully nice of her to give us this extra time by ourselves. I really, really need to thank her.
Keri: She'd love that. She loves a guy with good manners.
Antonio: Oh, yeah?
Keri: Yeah. She's going to love you. Which is why I wish you guys could meet already.
***********************************************
Liz: Are you sure? Yes. All right. Thank you.
Liz: I don't even know his name.
Rachel: Liz? What's going on?
Liz: Oh -- nothing, really. Don't worry about it.
Rachel: Is everything ok? Should I call Keri?
Liz: No. Please, every hing’s fine, Rachel. I promise.
Rachel: The look on your face when you saw the date on today's paper --
Liz: Rachel --
Rachel: And then you went straight for the phone. No -- who did you call?
Liz: I can't talk about it now. I've got to go home.
***********************************************
Max: Roxy? Roxy? Thank you.
[Bell rings]
Roxy: [British accent] 'ello, love. Jolly good to see you. You must be starving.
Max: What?
Roxy: I said you must be starving. Would you like some tea and crumpets?
Max: You're drunk, aren't you?
Roxy: No, no, darling, I'm not drunk. I'm just asking you are you 'ungry?
Max: You're asking as what, your alter ego?
Roxy: No, as your wife, Gabrielle Medina.
***********************************************
Gabrielle: So he's on his way over?
Bo: Yep. That's what he said.
Gabrielle: Thank you for telling me.
Bo: Well, you're his mother, you know.
Gabrielle: I know I don't have a right to ask this. You will take it easy on him, won't you?
Bo: Gabrielle, look, I'm going to have to do what I have to do.
[Knock on door]
Gabrielle: I'll get that.
Bo: Ok.
Gabrielle: Al. Hi, sweetie.
Al: How could you do this to me, Mom?
Gabrielle: Al, listen to me and I will tell you --
Al: How could you betray me like this?
***********************************************
[Music plays]
Jen: Are you sure you saw Natalie leave?
Jessica: Yes.
Jen: Great.
Jessica: Something wrong?
Jen: No. Everything is fine.
Jessica: Ok. Good.
Shawna: So, Natalie just left. That's funny. I thought I just saw Cristian leave, too. Gee, Jen. Maybe they're together.
***********************************************
Cristian: Hey. Natalie, wait a second. Why did you take off like that?
Natalie: Please, just leave me alone. I can't take this anymore.
Cristian: You can't take what?
Natalie: Any of this. It's killing me. Don't you get it? I'm in love with you.
Cristian: You're in love with me?
Natalie: Never mind. Forget it.
Cristian: Whoa, whoa -- hold on a second.
Natalie: I'm sorry. I really -- I shouldn't have said that. I know that was the last thing that you wanted to hear.
Cristian: Well --
Natalie: It's ok. You don't -- you don't have to say anything because I know that you -- that you don't feel the same way about me.
Cristian: No, Natalie. No. That's not true.
***********************************************
Al: I don't understand. How could you do this?
Bo: How could she do what?
Al: Nothing.
Bo: What, turn you in? She didn't. What'd you think, Al? Did you think she gave me that can of accelerant that you used to start that fire at Jen’s? Because she didn't. She threw that in the river to protect you. The only reason I know anything about it is because I followed her.
Gabrielle: It's true.
Bo: You have an incredible mother, Al. She was willing to risk going back to prison for you. Give up her freedom, go back to a place that she hated, that she never thought that she would see again -- for you.
Al: Mom?
Gabrielle: There isn't anything that I wouldn't do for you. You do know that, don't you?
Bo: See, that's how much your mother loves you, Al. And I think that you should remember that the next time you go off half-cocked and accuse her of something, because she doesn't deserve that.
Al: No, you're right. She definitely deserves a hell of a lot better than prison.
Bo: Mm-hmm. And I'm glad that we agree because I care for your mother very much.
Al: Are -- are you going to arrest me?
Bo: No. No, and it has nothing to do with how I feel about your mother. It's because right now I can't prove that you started that fire. Unless, of course, you would like to confess. No.
Gabrielle: Are you really not going to arrest him?
Bo: No, because without evidence, it wouldn't stick. But if evidence does surface in the near future, then I will do my job. But until then, Al's a free man.
Gabrielle: Oh, Bo, thank you.
Bo: No, no, no, don't thank me yet. Al, even though I can't arrest you, there is something that I can do to make you pay for what you did.
***********************************************
Max: You're Gabrielle?
Roxy: [British accent] gosh, love. Pip, pip, cheerio!
Max: I don't get it.
Roxy: I am portraying her accent.
Max: Oh, so that's what that is?
Roxy: I thought you'd like it.
Max: Well, I don’t.
Roxy: Oh, you don't? Well, lovey --
Max: No, actually, I hate it.
Roxy: Well, then, I guess you won't be wanting any crumpets and scones.
Max: [British accent] oh, definitely not. [Normal voice] now that you mention it, I am a little hungry.
Roxy: [Southern accent] well, maybe you want some chicken and biscuits.
Max: You just lost your so-called British accent.
Roxy: I know it.
Max: Have you forgotten how to speak normally?
Roxy: I'm Blair.
Max: That's Blair?
Roxy: [Normal voice] isn't it?
Max: How much have you had to drink?
Roxy: I told you, I'm not drunk.
Max: You're always drunk at this hour. What's going on?
Roxy: You know, Maxie, when you were gone, I was going through your wedding album.
Max: Oh, great.
Roxy: Yeah, and -- you know, and I saw Blair and Gabrielle.
Max: Ah. Pictures of a wedding in the wedding album. How odd.
Roxy: Yeah. You were married to both of them, so I figured you loved them both, right?
Max: So you decided to impersonate them both?
Roxy: No, I thought, you know, maybe if I was more like them, you know, you'd love me.
[Max laughs]
Roxy: What?
Max: First, I can't stand Blair or Gabrielle.
Roxy: Oh, good. Then I don't have to do those stupid accents anymore.
Max: But I'd choose either one of them over you any day.
Roxy: What do you mean? I thought you can't stand them.
Max: Well, see, while I can't stand them, the sight of them at least doesn't make me physically ill. And I don't curse the day I met them or wake up every morning just hoping that my marriage to them was nothing more than a really, really, really bad dream.
Roxy: All right. Ok. All right, that is it!
Max: What is?
Roxy: That is it! I am so sick of your attitude!
Max: Great! We're making progress.
Roxy: Ok, you know, I try to do everything I can to make you happy. You know, nothing is ever enough for you.
Max: Yes, and what does that tell you?
Roxy: Well, it says that you got a problem. I don't think that you've ever loved anybody before.
Max: Well, as a matter of fact, I have.
***********************************************
[Music plays]
Seth: So I figure I'll go to Michigan, check out Rex's past.
Chad: You really think he's up to something?
Seth: Oh, I know he is. And when I get back from Michigan, I intend on having proof that Jessica’s brother isn't the little innocent he's pretending to be.
Jessica: Here you go.
Seth: Thanks.
Rex: Hey, guys.
Jessica: Hey.
Rex: Listen, Jess, I want to give this back.
Jessica: What are you doing?
Rex: I feel weird taking your money.
Seth: Since when?
Jessica: Yeah, but don't you need it for your books?
Rex: Yeah, did. But, well, I found there's plenty of copies in the library and the rest I can [missing].
Jessica: Are you sure?
Rex: Yeah. Totally. I don't want to have to depend on you for money. I want to stand on my own.
***********************************************
Jen: You know, Shawna, why don't you try minding your own business for once in your life?
Shawna: Ooh, touchy, touchy.
Jen: I know exactly where Cristian is.
Shawna: Oh, really? Where?
Jen: He went to check on his brother.
Shawna: Is that what he told you?
[Shawna laughs]
***********************************************
Natalie: I don't understand. What isn't true?
Cristian: I'm talking about what you just said -- about the way I feel.
Natalie: I know that you care a lot about me, but -- and I'm glad you're my friend.
Cristian: I'm more than a friend, Natalie. A lot more.
Natalie: You don't have to do this.
Cristian: Yes, I do.
Natalie: You don't have to try and make me feel better.
Cristian: That's not what I'm doing here. Look, I gotta admit, it's a little confusing and I didn't expect you to say that to me.
Natalie: I didn't even -- I didn't meant to. It just came out, all right? Just forget that you ever heard it.
Cristian: I can't forget it. I don't want to forget it.
Natalie: How can you say that? You don't -- you told me that you wanted me to find someone else.
Cristian: When did I say that?
Natalie: The other night outside your apartment. You said you wanted me to find someone else and be happy with them.
Cristian: Yeah --
Natalie: Ok, I get it. It's all right. You were trying to be nice to me, and you were trying to let me know that you were not interested.
Cristian: No, Natalie, I only said that because you were on date.
Natalie: Except I wasn't on a date.
Cristian: You weren't?
Natalie: Rex made that up. He was -- thought he was protecting me.
Cristian: From me?
Natalie: It is so hard to be around you. Rex knew that, so he was trying to help. Oh, God, I'm feeling really stupid now. I -- I did go along with it -- you know, making you think that I was on a date. That's -- that's why I asked Chad to the party tonight. But -- I don't want Chad. I mean, he's nice and all. But the only person that I want to be with -- maybe you should go back in there --
Cristian: No, no. It's ok. You can say it. Because the only person I want to be with is you.
Natalie: What?
Cristian: I'm in love with you, Natalie.
***********************************************
Keri: Ok, that's it. I'm going to go find my mom.
Antonio: Right now?
Keri: Yes, right now. Don't you want to meet her?
Antonio: Well -- not yet. One more kiss. Maybe 10 more.
Keri: What's so amusing?
Antonio: I was -- I was just thinking about that picture of you again.
Keri: Leave it to my mom. The one family photo in the whole house, and it has to be that one.
Antonio: So?
Keri: So, it's embarrassing.
Antonio: No, honey, it's cute.
Keri: More like awful.
Antonio: There's no one more beautiful than the girl in that picture.
Keri: You're just saying that.
Antonio: No, it's the truth.
Keri: You know what? Doesn't matter.
Antonio: What are you doing?
Keri: I know where Mom keeps the rest of the family photos.
Antonio: Oh, good. I bet you look beautiful in all of them.
Keri: Anything's gotta be better than that one.
Antonio: Oh, come on. I keep telling you, the one on the table is perfect.
Keri: But I'm not looking for another photo of me. I am looking for revenge.
Antonio: Revenge?
Keri: Yes. I know there's gotta be at least one or two embarrassing photos of my mom in here. That one's ok. That one's not too bad.
Antonio: Hmm.
Keri: Oh, my eighth grade graduation.
Antonio: Oh, here, let me see.
Keri: Not a chance. Ah, let's see. Aha!
Antonio: What?
Keri: My mom in the disco era. You gotta see this.
***********************************************
Rachel: Liz, please wait. I mean, look at you. You're shaking. What is it? What's wrong?
Liz: It's nothing. It's just something I've got to go take care of.
Rachel: No, you're clearly upset. Now, I know it's not nothing. Come on, just tell me.
Liz: You're right. There is something wrong, and I've got to go make it right before it's too late.
***********************************************
[Music plays]
Jessica: Look, I don't want your work to suffer just because you're too proud to take my money.
Rex: Yeah, I hear you, but I want to carry my weight. See you around.
Jessica: Have fun.
Rex: Later.
***********************************************
Chad: Looking for a ride, huh?
Seth: You could say that.
Chad: Off to Michigan? Find out what little brother's been up to, right?
Seth: You got it.
Chad: Well, enjoy Motown, man, and come back with the goods on Rex, all right?
***********************************************
Shawna: Hey. Heading to Detroit?
Rex: No, but someone else is.
Shawna: Come on. Let's go clubbing.
Rex: Maybe later. Tonight's out.
***********************************************
Chad: Hey, whoa -- are you ok?
Jen: Yeah.
Chad: No, you look upset.
Jen: No, I'm not upset. What could I possibly have to be upset about?
***********************************************
Natalie: What did you just say?
Cristian: I said I'm in love with you. I have been for a while.
Natalie: I -- I can't believe you just said that.
Cristian: Neither can I, but it's the truth.
Natalie: Yeah, but what about Jen? You're with Jen.
Cristian: I know. I know, and I never expected this to happen. Jen and I -- we -- we were happy, and I don't know why things changed. But these feelings for you just -- they snuck up on me.
Natalie: Yeah. I know what you me.
Cristian: You know, when I first met you, I pretty much thought you were a pain.
Natalie: I was a pain.
Cristian: But not anymore. It’s like one day everything changed and I didn't mind being around you. I liked it.
Natalie: I can't -- I can't believe this is happening.
Cristian: And pretty soon I started looking forward to seeing you and missing you when you were not around.
Natalie: Oh, God, I missed you, too.
Cristian: And throughout that whole lousy time with your mom, I kept telling myself, "Cristian, you're just being a good friend." No way. Deep down, it was a lot more than that.
Natalie: When I first realized my feelings for you, I -- I imagined that it just couldn't work, that there was no way you felt the same way I did.
Cristian: And then when we were at your house -- you know, when we kissed -- I knew. Suddenly it just all became clear. I was in love with you. And I didn't know what to do. I mean, I kept denying it. I kept telling myself that these feelings weren't real, but I couldn't. Just like tonight.
Natalie: What happened tonight?
Cristian: When I saw you running out of the party and I saw the look on your face, I didn't even think. I just wanted to see you. And then I knew that I loved you.
***********************************************
Keri: I want you to take a look at this photo, and you tell me if my mom is so adorable.
Antonio: Oh, if she looks anything like you, I'm sure she looks gorgeous.
[Phone rings]
Antonio: Must be the hearing. Vega. Tonight? No, no, that's -- that's fine. I'll be there.
Keri: What happened?
Antonio: Internal Affairs -- they -- they want to see me.
Keri: They want to see you tonight?
Antonio: Yeah. They -- they do that. They try to catch you off guard.
Keri: But can you even get there in time? Do they know you're in Chicago?
Antonio: Look, honey, I'm going to have to try to get on the next flight.
Keri: Ok, well, I'm going with you.
Antonio: You don't have to do that.
Keri: I want to do that, Antonio. You were there with me during my hearing. I want to be with you. It meant everything to me.
Antonio: And it means everything to me, except that you can’t. It's a closed hearing.
Keri: I don't care. I'll wait in the hall with you. Antonio, I want to be with you.
Antonio: Honey, you -- your mother needs you right now. Hey -- you know I'm right.
Keri: I suppose so.
Antonio: She needs you -- she needs you now more than I do.
Keri: Ok, well, I'll -- I'll try to get back as soon as I can.
Antonio: And I'll be looking forward to it.
Keri: But I'm worried that you need me, too.
Antonio: I'll -- I'll be ok. What's wrong?
Keri: Nothing. You just -- you came all this way just to have to turn around and go back.
Antonio: I gotta see you, didn't I?
Keri: Yeah, for two seconds. I guess that's just our luck.
Antonio: No. All that matters, honey, is that we're back together.
Keri: Yeah. That's all that matters. I want you to know that I believe in you and I love you. Don't ever forget that.
Antonio: I won’t. I love you, too.
Antonio: I'll see you soon.
Keri: Oh, Mom.
Liz: Oh.
Keri: You just missed Antonio.
Liz: Oh --
Keri: He was -- he was here. He has to go back to Llanview.
Liz: Oh, honey, I'm sorry.
Keri: Mom?
Liz: What?
Keri: Is everything ok? What happened?
***********************************************
Roxy: You actually loved somebody? Tell me who she was. Tell me what she was like.
Max: None of your damn business.
Ro: Come on, Max! Tell me, tell me!
Max: Why, so you can do another bad accent?
Roxy: Ah, accents. You really do like accents.
Max: Look, it is not the accent -- oh -- just forget it, ok? I'm not going to tell you who she was.
Roxy: Okey-dokey.
Max: Really?
Roxy: No, you don't have to tell me who she was.
Max: Thank you.
Roxy: Just tell me what she was like.
Max: What?
Roxy: Come on, just tell me what she was like, you know, and I won't bug you anymore.
Max: If only. You know what, she was amazing. There's never been anyone like her and there will never be anyone like her ever again.
Roxy: Well, that's true for a lot of us.
Max: She was a good person -- the best people I ever met.
Roxy: She married you? Go figure.
Max: Yeah. Go figure.
Roxy: You know, I'm a good person.
Max: How exactly are you a good person?
Roxy: In a lot of ways.
Max: Name one.
Roxy: Like I brake for animals.
Max: Oh, it's a wonder they didn't give you the Nobel Prize.
Roxy: Is that like the Woman of the Year thing?
[Max laughs]
Roxy: Right -- you're kidding, right?
Max: Just can't get anything past you, can I?
Roxy: Well, you know, I do a lot of stuff.
Max: Such as?
[Doorbell rings]
Roxy: Such as I'm a very good mother and I love my kids.
Rex: Hey, Mom.
Roxy: What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?
***********************************************
Bo: 100 hours community service supervised by me and a treatment program supervised by a qualified mental health professional.
Gabrielle: Al, I think it's a good idea because sometimes people need to talk to someone.
Bo: I'll get you the numbers that you need to call, and I expect you to make those calls.
Gabrielle: Oh, he will, he will.
Bo: This is for Al to decide, Gabrielle. It's not you.
Gabrielle: Yes, of course.
Bo: The truth is there's no way that I can force you to agree to do this. But on the other hand, there are ways that I could make your life pretty difficult. I think this is the least that you could do after what you did. And if you're as decent as your mother says you are, then you'll want to do it. Do we have an understanding?
Al: Yes, sir. Yes, we do.
Bo: Good. Well, that's all I wanted to hear.
Al: Is there anything else?
Bo: Al, I mean it -- if there is other evidence that does surface, then I will have to lock you up despite all of this.
Al: I understand.
Bo: We'll just call this an unofficial plea bargain.
Al: Ok.
Bo: But from now on, you better tow the line.
Al: Yes, sir.
Bo: Because if you don't, you could end up doing hard time and nobody will be able to save you.
Al: Yes, sir.
Bo: There is one other thing.
Al: What's that?
Bo: You know, Al, everybody does stupid things. Ok? Maybe not quite like this, but they do them -- especially when they're in love. I've known you a long time, Al, and I know that you're not a bad kid. But you gotta find a way to let it go.
Al: You mean --
Bo: I mean this obsession with Jen. It's not good for her. It's not good for you, either. The bottom line, as much as you hate it, is that she's with someone else.
***********************************************
Natalie: I have wanted you to kiss me like that for so long. I mean, those other times --
Cristian: We didn't know how we really felt.
Natalie: I thought they were mistakes for you. I thought you regretted every kiss.
Cristian: Uh-uh. The only thing I regretted was not telling you how I really felt, you know, when we were at the Bayberry Inn.
Natalie: Oh, God, I wanted to be with you that night so much, more than anything in the world. I just -- I never thought that I could be.
Cristian: And I wanted to make love to you. The only reason I didn't was because --
Natalie: Because of Jen. So, what about Jen? What do we do about her?
***********************************************
Keri: Mom, something's upset you. Tell me what happened.
Liz: No --
Keri: What's going on?
Liz: Honey, don't worry about it. It's just -- once in a while, it just hits me all over again that he's gone.
Keri: Mom, I don't know how you're doing it. I don't know how you're going on. Steve was a wonderful man. He was -- he was the best stepfather I could have ever asked for.
Liz: I know. And the best husband and the best partner and the best soul mate.
Keri: I'll never forget a thing he did for me.
Liz: I know. He loved you very much.
Keri: Mom, is there anything I can do for you?
Liz: No, honey --
Keri: Anything at all?
Liz: I'm fine, really.
Keri: Are you sure?
Liz: Yes. And you should be with Antonio. You guys are just starting over again.
Keri: Mom, you need me more.
Liz: Keri, I'm going to have moments like this.
Keri: I know you will.
Liz: It's just a hard time for both of us. But, honey, your life's in Llanview now, and I think you better get back there.
Keri: My life is wherever I want it to be, and right now I want to be here with you.
Liz: Why? So you can take away my pain? I wish you could. And I love having you here, but I'm going to be missing Steve just as much whether you're here or there.
Keri: I know that, Mom, but you shouldn't be alone.
Liz: I'm not alone. My friends are smothering me with caring. Besides, as long as you're here, you're not with Antonio, and don't you think it's a shame that we're both missing the men we love?
Keri: Did you ever think about becoming a lawyer?
Liz: Never. Arguing with you is bad enough. Honey, go. Ok? If you hurry, you can probably catch him at the airport.
Keri: And if you need me, you'll --
Liz: I'll call. I promise.
Keri: Ok. I'm going to go pack.
Liz: Ok.
Liz: It's me, Liz. It's time. But we've got to do the procedure immediately. What do you mean, you can't? You have to. Where am I going to get another surrogate now?
***********************************************
Roxy: Can't you see I'm right in the middle of something?
Rex: Ok, Mom, listen --
Roxy: And stop calling me mom! Get out of here and come back later!
Max: Ok. You know wt? You're right. You’re absolutely right. I don't know how I missed it. You are one fantastic mother.
Roxy: No, no, I rely am a good mother. I mean, you know, just watch this. Hey, honey, tell me all about your date. I bet it was good, right? Hey, Max? Hey, Max? Max? You see what you've done?
Rex: Mom, listen to me. You gotta help me.
Roxy: Is that why you're calling me Mom?
Rex: I always call you Mom.
Roxy: Wouldn't have called me that at Rodi’s. No, you were calling me a big, fat joke.
Rex: Look, about that --
Roxy: Yeah, you made a beeline for your big sister. You know why? Because she's Ms. Moneybags.
Rex: Yeah, ok, I know. It was wrong. I shouldn't have treated you that way.
Roxy: Yeah, you shouldn't have treated me like that because I'm your mom and I deserve a little respect.
Rex: Yes, ok, I know, but right now you gotta help me.
Roxy: Help you do what?
Rex: Seth's going to Michigan to see Aunt Corinne.
***********************************************
Natalie: So, are you -- are you still in love with Jen, too?
Cristian: I care about Jen. Probably always will. And the last thing I ever want to do is hurt her.
Natalie: She's been really terrific to me lately.
Cristian: But I'm not in love with her. Not anymore. I'm in love with you, Natalie. I want to be with you.
Natalie: I want to be with you, too, but --
Cristian: I know, I know. It's a mess.
Natalie: What are you going to do?
Cristian: What can I do? I have to tell her the truth.
Natalie: You're going to tell her that you don't love her anymore?
Cristian: Well, I have to. I mean, it's not right not to. I mean, for our sakes, too, but mostly it's not fair to Jen.
Natalie: It's just that I -- I know what it's like to love someone and they don't love you back -- how much it hurts. I don't want to do that to Jen.
Cristian: Yeah, I know. Neither do I.
Natalie: Why does this have to be so hard?
Cristian: It's all my fault.
Natalie: No, it's not your fault. You're trying to do the right thing.
Cristian: So are you. You don't want to hurt Jen, either.
Natalie: I just feel so horrible. I'm getting what I want because Jen isn’t.
Cristian: Natalie, that's not your fault, either.
Natalie: It feels like it is.
Cristian: That's because you're a good person. You are.
Natalie: Yeah, but so is Jen. She went out of her way to be friends with me, and now I'm taking her boyfriend.
***********************************************
Al: Look, I'm sorry about what I said before. I -- I should realize that you're always on my side.
Gabrielle: Always.
Bo: I'll get you those phone numbers, ok, first thing in the morning. Just please call them.
Al: I will. Definitely.
Gabrielle: Thank you for what you -- what you said and did for my son.
Bo: You know, he's a good kid. Just needs a good, swift kick in the butt, that's all.
Gabrielle: Well, I think you did that. You know, Drew was lucky to have a father like you.
***********************************************
Liz: Please. I have nobody to turn to if you don't do this. But why? You can't just change your mind. Please -- Keri.
Keri: Mom, what's going on?
Liz: Sweetheart --
Keri: I heard you say something about a surrogate. You talking about a surrogate mother? Mom, are you pregnant?
***********************************************
[Music plays]
Jessica: So, what are you doing this weekend? What do you want to do?
Seth: What do you mean?
Jessica: I thought that maybe we could do something, just the two of us.
Seth: That sounds great, but --
Jessica: But what?
Seth: I might have to go away for a day or two.
Jessica: Oh. Where are you going?
Seth: It's no big deal. It's just something I have to take care of.

Rex: Mom, you hear me?
Roxy: Oh, yeah, I heard you. Seth is going to Michigan to see your Aunt Corinne. I don't know why he wants to see that battle-ax, anyway.
Rex: He wants to find stuff out about me.
Roxy: Oh, for the fraternity that you're joining?
Rex: What?
Roxy: Well, she'll say good things about you. And even if she doesn't, you know, who cares?
Rex: Mom, what if she tells him something?
Roxy: I don't know what that stupid sister-in-law of mine is going to say to that loser, anyway.
Rex: How about the truth? The truth that you didn't want to come out -- like why Aunt Corinne took me away from you and left Natalie behind.
***********************************************
Cristian: Natalie, you have to know that this -- none of this is your fault. You didn't ask me to fall in love with you.
Natalie: But I wanted you to. I wanted it so much.
Cristian: Yeah, so much that you pretended to be on a date and you acted like you didn't care about me. Look, Natalie, this isn't anyone's fault. Just happened. I have to find a way to make Jen understand that.
Natalie: Yeah. I don't know how you can.
Cristian: I will. I'll find a way to make Jen understand that you're the one I love and not her.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Rex: What's your guess what Natalie would think if she knew the truth, the whole truth about what you did?
Carlotta: My friend Innocencia from church -- she saw you with some woman?
Keri: Are you pregnant?
Cristian: Jen deserves to know the truth. I want to be free to love you.
