One Life to Live Transcript Thursday 6/13/02 By Linda >> Previously on "One Life to Live" -- Chad: If you got some time tomorrow, I can take you around. Keri: This photo was taken in -- in Hawaii? Man: Yeah. Al: You didn't do anything wrong. He should apologize to you. Téa: Are you planning on kidnapping Jack and Starr? Starr: Mom, Dad said good-bye. I don't think I'm ever going to see him again. *********************************************** Antonio: Ah. Keri: Antonio, you didn't just choose Maui for our vacation by chance. Antonio: No, you're right. I gave it a lot of thought. Keri: That's not what I meant. I meant the camera, the undeveloped film, the trip to the same place Rae and Mark were -- they're all connected. Antonio: You're not going all magic crystals on me, are you? Keri: Don't you see? Rae was here with the love of her life. Now I am here with the love of my life. Antonio: Ok. Keri: It's -- it's fate. It's destiny. We were sent to Maui. Antonio: To fall more in love with each other. Keri: To find Mark for Rae. Antonio: Uh-huh. Yeah. *********************************************** Asa: And that, Gretel, is how I got to be where I am today. Luck had nothing to do with it. And any accidents involved were the ones that I arranged. Rae: You shouldn't be in a mansion. You should be in prison. Asa: You're right, I probably should be if things hadn't worked out. But they did. I'm rich. Another chapter in the American dream. Rae: No. You made all of that up just to shock me, didn't you? Asa: Guess again, Gretel. All true, every word. What are you going to do about it? *********************************************** Emily: Hey. Troy: Hey. Emily: My special kick-start smoothie. Troy: Ah. Emily: I really needed it this morning. Mmm. Wow, is it a beautiful day today or what? Why'd you let me sleep so late? Troy: What is in this? Emily: It's good for you. That place you got me upstairs is incredible. And it's got the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Troy: I see. And this is how you thank me, huh? Emily: Just drink it. Troy: I'll tell you what. I got a better idea. I got the morning off. Why don't you let me grab a shower and get dressed, and then I will take you out for a real breakfast. And then I'll show you around town and everything. Emily: It's too late. I've already got a tour guide. Troy: What? Who? You just got here. Emily: A guy I met. Troy: A guy you met. You mean like a date? Emily: Like, but not exactly. *********************************************** Jen: Did you turn the phone off last night? Cristian: And the answering machine. It's time to get back to real life. Jen: Do we have to? Making up was the best. Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, it was great. But I don't want us to fight like that ever again. Jen: Me, either. But I guess I'd better go. Cristian: You know, you're really good to visit your mom in Statesville. Jen: Yeah, it kind of gives me the creeps seeing her there in prison. Cristian: I know. Jen: Oh, don't forget -- I'm staying in Philly with my friend Brooke. Cristian: And I'm going to miss you like crazy. Jen: I'm going to miss you, too. But if we start that, I'm never going to get anywhere. [Knock on door] Al: My dad wanted me to drop these by. They're the keys to the new safe. Cristian: Thanks. Al: Yeah, you know, Chad's looking for you -- Jen: Cristian, have you seen my – *********************************************** Starr: Tee, what are you doing here? Téa: I'm on vacation. Starr: So am I. Sort of. Téa: How are you? Starr: Terrible. My mom and dad had a big fight. Now I can't see my dad anymore. Téa: Oh. Ross: Sorry, Miss, but you're not allowed to talk to this child without her mother's approval. Téa: I'm an old friend. Ross: Could be, but I'm going to have to call Mrs. Manning and have it checked out. *********************************************** Blair: It wasn't fair to take Starr away from Llanview, away from Todd. Sam: Well, now, just -- slow down, Blair. Remember how it was back home. You were terrified that Todd was planning to steal your kids -- and not without good reason. Blair: Do you think I don't know that? Sam: Well, that's why I suggested you leave town. Blair: Yeah, well, you know what? It sounded like a really good idea then. But now, seeing Starr and how upset she is, I have to find a way to call a truce with Todd for Starr's sake. Sam: Ok, look, Blair, I'm not saying that you're wrong. I'm just saying that I think it's important to think this through. I -- I don't want to see you and Starr get hurt again. Blair: Oh, yeah, right. Sam: Look, Blair, I know the pain is still very fresh. And that's another reason why I wanted you to leave town -- so you and Starr could catch your breath, so you could, you know, find out what life would be like without Todd, so you could be someplace where you weren't constantly confronting memories of him, where you could start thinking a little more calmly about where to go from here. Blair: Maybe I shouldn't even be thinking about a life without Todd. *********************************************** Troy: Like a date but not exactly? What is that supposed to mean? Emily: He goes to Llanview University, and he's just going to show me around. Troy: Uh-huh. So, who is he, what are his intentions, and what kind of family does he come from? Because I'm telling you, Emily, no matter who he is, he's not good enough for you -- Emily: Not good enough for me. Troy: Exactly. Emily: I missed you, but not this part. Troy: So, what's his name? Emily: I can't remember. Troy: You -- Emily: But he's really cute. Troy: Well, he must be adorable if you can't remember his name. Emily: I -- I think it starts with a C, and he said something about managing that bar downstairs. Troy: The Break Bar? Emily: I think that's what he said. Troy: Oh -- his name's not Cristian, is it? Emily: Maybe. We totally hit it off, and he's exactly my type. Troy: And Cristian Vega has a girlfriend. Emily: Are you sure? Troy: I'm positive. They live together in one of the other lofts in the building. *********************************************** Jen: I'm sorry. I didn't know you were here. Al: Oh, it's Break Bar business. No biggie. You know, Cris, I don't think that my dad would be too pleased to find out that his manager keeps his phone turned off and his answering machine unplugged. Not very responsible. Cristian: It's my day off. Al: Yeah, but what if something happened? Cristian: And Jen and I needed some time away from everything. You know, we had a lot of making up to do. Al: Hmm. What if there was an emergency? What would you do? Cristian: Look, Al, I work for your dad, but he doesn't own me. And my phone is back on now. Jen: Cristian, have you seen my bag? Cristian: Yeah, I hung it up in the closet. Jen: Thanks. Cristian: Something wrong? Al: Huh? No. No. I just -- well, I didn't expect to see Jen here. Cristian: Why not? She lives here. Al: Yeah. Yeah, it's just -- I mean, I just thought that -- well, you know -- Cristian: Right, right. You just thought that since you buddied up to her last night because we had that fight about Natalie that she'd break up with me. Well, you thought wrong, Al. *********************************************** Sam: Are you thinking about forgiving Todd? Blair: Come on, Sam. I haven't completely lost my mind here. But I tell you, I can't deprive Starr of her daddy or Todd of Starr. Well, you saw Starr. You said that her face lit up when he called. Look, I can't do that to her. She loves him. I'm going to have to allow Todd some visitation rights. I'm going to have to make peace with him for Starr's sake. She needs him. She does. Sam: You know, after everything he's done to you -- you're amazing. Blair: I just do whatever it takes to make my children happy. Sam: Ok, you know, we have no idea what Todd could be planning. So, I mean, any visits between he and Starr would have to be heavily supervised. Blair: Yeah, I know that. Don't you think I know what he's capable of, especially when it comes to his children? But I can also tell you that I know that he would never hurt them. Sam: No, no, he would just use them to hurt you, the way he is now. Blair: Well, I can take it. Starr can't. Sam: I know that's killing you. Blair: She's my baby, Sam. Todd probably told her to lie to us when he called to her, and -- and then, when we confronted her, she told the truth. She was stuck right in the middle of it, and that is so unfair. Sam: Yes, it is. Blair: I cannot allow that to happen anymore, Sam. It's got to stop. I've got to do something about it, so I want you to make the arrangements. I -- please help me. I want to take my children home. *********************************************** Starr: She's my friend, my best friend. I really, really like her. Ross: I can see why. Starr: Well, anyway, since you're supposed to be guarding me, there's no reason why you should call my mom, right? Ross: You know what? Maybe not. Why don't I give you two some privacy? How's that? Starr: Thanks. Ross: Yeah, but I'm going to be watching you, all right? So don't even think about trying anything, ok? Téa: I give you my word. Ross: That's good. Behave. *********************************************** Ross: Hey, look, I -- Todd: Don't speak. Ross: Thought you were somebody else. Hey, you know that babe talking to Starr? Todd: You need to shut up. Wait -- wait -- wait a second. Did you just call her a babe? Ross: Dude -- Todd: Her name is Téa. Téa can't tell Starr that I'm here. Ross: Whoa, whoa -- what, you mean she knows -- Todd: The thing is, if Starr finds out I'm here, she's liable to say something to Blair, and then all hell will break loose. Ross: All right, all right. I'm on it, ok? Todd: How come you left Starr alone, anyway? Ross: How else could I let you grab me? Are we finished? Todd: Don't mess with me. Ross: Sure. *********************************************** Starr: Now, since my mom and dad hate each other, are you and my dad going to get back together? Téa: Oh. Sweetie, it doesn't quite work that way. Starr: Well -- so I'll take that as a no. Téa: Your daddy and I are old news. Starr: You mean he doesn't know you're here? I mean, he didn't send you to come and see me? *********************************************** Antonio: Look, just because that picture of Rae and her boyfriend was taken here on Maui, now you want to spend our whole vacation trying to find the guy? Keri: Antonio, don't you see? This is a sign. How many places did we consider coming before Hawaii? Suddenly, you choose Hawaii, we get that camera from Rae, we find those pictures -- it's a sign. Antonio: Look, honey, Mark probably doesn't even live here, all right? Odds are that they were on vacation, the same way we are. Keri: Or not. We have to find him for her. Antonio: Rae tore up those photos. She didn't even want to be reminded of the guy. Keri: Yes, because she lost him. You know, that doesn't mean that -- she told me that this guy was the love of her life. Antonio, you just don't forget feelings like that. That is the reason we're here. I -- I know it. It's to find Mark. Antonio: No, the reason we're here -- look -- the reason we're here is because I saw a brochure and thought it was the only place on earth as -- as beautiful and as spectacular and as perfect as you are. Keri: Thank you. Antonio: And I want to spend our time here swimming and having wonderful meals and lying in the sun and, you know, making love. Keri: Me, too. And then we can also find Mark. Antonio: Keri -- Keri: In between all of that stuff, you know? Antonio: Hey, don't forget, we also promised Téa we would spend some time with her. Keri: She can help in the search. Did she call you back, by the way? Antonio: No. Look -- I -- I guess she was busy. Keri: Antonio, I'm telling you, there is something at work here, something -- something bigger than a vacation. Antonio: Well, now, there I would have to agree with you. Keri: So you understand? Antonio: Look, do you know how long ago that -- that photo was taken? I mean, do you know how many millions of tourists have been on Maui since then? Keri: Oh. I get it. You're afraid to help me find Mark. *********************************************** Rae: My God. How do you live with yourself after what you've done? Asa: Very, very well. Rae: I don't believe that. I believe, after all of these decades, you live with enormous guilt. Asa: And I secretly love my mother, too. Rae: That guilt, Asa, is why you try to control everything and everybody around you. Asa: I control everybody because I can. Rae: No, no. You try to control things because you can't control what's eating you up inside. Asa: What? You think I have an ulcer? Rae: I'm talking about your conscience. I'm talking about that raging guilt over all the horrible things you've done to your rivals. Asa: Everything is fair in love and war and capitalism. And all of that I told you is ancient history. Rae: No. No, no, I don't think so. I think you wake up every single morning with it on your mind, and I think you go to bed every night with the same thing. Asa: I think you're loco. Rae: You know something, Asa? It's not too late. You could still do something about it. Asa: Oh -- you mean turn myself in to the proper authorities? Rae: For starters. Asa: And spend the rest of my life in prison? Rae: Well, you know, it might be a whole lot better than the mental torture you live with right now. *********************************************** Emily: I should have known that creep was too good to be true. I guess Colin was right -- no good guy is ever going to bother looking at me. Todd: No, Emily, Colin wasn't right. I don't ever want to hear that, ok? Look -- it's not your fault that Cristian hit on you. You had no idea that he had a girlfriend. Emily: I wonder if his girlfriend knows what a dog he is. Todd: Well, I don't know, but I know that his girlfriend's mother didn't think he was any good. Although I -- I didn't believe her. I kind of took his side on that one. But either way, you know what? Just wait till he gets here, and I will handle it, ok? Emily: No, Troy, please. It's embarrassing enough. Just let me handle it myself. Todd: All right. I'm going to jump in the shower, ok? Emily: Ok. Todd: All right. You go get him. [Emily sighs] [Knock on door] Chad: Hey, how'd you sleep? I was thinking about it last night, and I thought that maybe after I show you the campus, I could take you out to lunch. Emily: No, thanks. I don't eat lunch with lowlifes. Chad: What? Emily: How dare you come on to me when you're living with your girlfriend. *********************************************** Al: Uh -- look, I didn't think that Jen left you. I just -- you know, surprised to see her here. Cristian: Would you also be surprised if I told you that she told me about the conversation the two of you had last night? Al: You're her boyfriend. Of course she told you. Cristian: And you? What are you? Al: I'm her friend. Her very good friend. Cristian: Oh. Is that what you were being last night? Al: I was trying. Cristian: Right. Right, right, right, right. Because only a good friend would try to convince her that she should wait for me to apologize to her or try to talk her into staying at her dad's instead of coming home to me, where she lives. Only this good friend would try to make her believe that there's something going on between me and Natalie when he, this good friend, knows there isn't. Al: Look, it wasn't like that, ok? She was upset. I wanted to help. Cristian: You blew it, Al, because Jen and I tell each other everything. We don't keep secrets from each other. Look, thanks for bringing me the keys, huh? Tell Chad I'll be down there in time to open up. Jen: Did Al leave? Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, he went back down to the bar. Jen: I want to stop by and see him before I head to Statesville. That ok with you? Cristian: Well, yeah. He's your friend. I can't tell you you can't see him. Jen: Good. You know, he really was being a good guy last night. Cristian: Believe that if you want, Jen, but I don't. But you know what? If I'm entitled to my friends, then that means you're entitled to yours. Besides, he's not going to come between us again. Jen: You got that right. *********************************************** Sam: Blair, are you sure? Are you sure you don't want to let Starr stay just for a few more days and have some fun? Blair: She doesn't need fun. What she needs is to be near her daddy. Sam: Ok. I'll get us on the next flight. Call -- call Ross. Get Starr back up here and changed. Blair: Hey. Thank you for being so good to me. Sam: You make it easy. Blair: Thank you. *********************************************** Téa: Why would you think your daddy had sent me? Starr: Well, I thought that maybe he told you to come and tell me that he loved me. Are you sure you didn't see him? Ross: Ready to go to the beach? Starr: Can Tee come? Ross: Well, that depends. Will she be wearing a thong? [Phone rings] Ross: Rayburn. Blair: Hey, get Starr back up to the room as soon as possible, please. Ross: Why? What's up? Blair: I'll tell you later. Just get her up here. Thanks. Ross: That was your mom. She wants you back up in your room. Starr: She said that I could go swimming with you! Ross: Well, she changed her mind, kid. Sorry. Starr: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! Téa: Starr. Now, your mother must be going through a lot of bad things right now. Why don't you be a good girl and do as she says? Starr: But I'm going through a lot of bad things, too. Téa: I know, Sweetheart, but it'll get better, I promise you. Starr: Will I be able to see you again? Téa: Of course. But, in the meantime, you know how I'm not exactly your mom's favorite person? Starr: Yeah, she hates you. Téa: Yeah, that's -- that's another way to put it. Um -- maybe -- maybe you could not tell her you ran into me. It might upset her. Starr: Yeah, I'm good at keeping secrets. I have a lot of practice. Téa: Oh. Estrella. Starr: Hey, I remember that Spanish word you taught me -- ti amo. Téa: I love you, too, Estrellita. Starr: Bye. Come on, let's go, Sherlock. *********************************************** Todd: You didn't tell Starr I was here. Téa: No, I didn't. I also didn't happen to mention that you were planning on kidnapping her and her baby brother. Todd: Da, da, da, da -- does that mean you're not going to stop me? Téa: No, I'm not going to stop you, Todd. Todd: Promise? Téa: Yeah, I promise. You can trust me. *********************************************** Chad: Look, I don't know what you're talking about, but I don't have a girlfriend. Emily: Oh, please. The scam's over. My brother told me the whole story. Chad: What story? Emily: And even if he hadn't, I may be new to Llanview, but I'm not stupid. I would have found out what kind of sleazeball you are by that stupid flower. Chad: It's just a flower. Emily: Yeah, well, only a player brings a flower on a first date that's not even really a date. Chad: I brought it because I like you and because -- Emily: And because you want to show me the real Llanview University, the undercover stuff? Chad: Yes, that's the general idea. Emily: Well, I'm not interested in the kind of undercover stuff you want to show me. Go peddle your flower someplace else. And if I ever meet your girlfriend, I'm going to tell her exactly what kind of games you're up to on the side. *********************************************** Jen: Al? Al: Jen. Jen: Hey. I just wanted to come by and thank you for being such a good friend last night. Al: Yeah, a good friend but a terrible advisor, huh? Jen: No, not really. I mean, what we talked about, it made me realize that I needed to talk to Cristian before things got worse, so I did. Al: So you trust him again, huh? Jen: Yeah. He and Natalie are just friends, just like you and me. Al: Right. Jen: I think I just blew everything out of proportion because I'm going to see my mom today. Al: You're going to Statesville, huh? Jen: Yeah. I'm just -- I am still very angry about what she did to Nora -- I mean, especially the fact that she made me keep her secret all that time. Al: That wasn't fair. Jen: Yeah, tell me about it. You know? She knew I knew what she'd done, and she knew that if she asked me not to say anything that I wouldn't, but I should have. Al: Look, you were just being a good daughter, even if she was being a lousy mom. Jen: And you were a good friend when it got to the point where I needed to talk to somebody about it or explode -- somebody I could trust. Al: Well, I'm glad to know you can trust me. I -- you can trust me, you know. Jen: So it didn't matter what advice you gave me. It just -- it mattered that you listened and you helped me work it out for myself. That's a real friend. Al: Anytime. Jen: I got to run. Al: Ok. Well, I'll see you when you get back. Jen: Ok. [Al sighs] Al: "We don't keep secrets from each other. We tell each other everything." Yeah. Well, I got a big surprise for you, Cristian. *********************************************** Starr: We're back! Mom? What's going on? Ross: Uh -- here -- let me get that for you. Blair: Oh, thank you. Oh, that's heavy. Starr: I mean, we just got here. I mean, we haven't even seen a volcano erupt yet. Blair: Well, I made a mistake. We never should have left Llanview. Starr: What? Blair: Look, we're going to go home, ok? So I'll tell you what I want you to do -- take your bathing suit off, go pack up your stuff. And I left some things out for you, so put your bathing suit in your suitcase and then bring it on out, ok? Starr: Here we go again. Blair: Sam has made all the arrangements, so we need to go to the airport as soon as possible. Ross: Why the sudden change in plans? Blair: It's complicated, especially when you don't know the kind of man Mr. Manning is. Ross: Well, I thought you had to get away from him. Blair: I do. But -- now we're going to go home, so tell your guards to hurry up, all right? Ross: Yes, ma'am. Blair: Ok. Blair: Yeah, this is -- this is the right thing for Starr. She needs to be near daddy. Yeah. *********************************************** Todd: Ok, so, you're not going to tell Blair that I'm kidnapping the kids. You're not even going to tell Blair that I'm here? Téa: I told you no. Todd: Why not? Téa: Because I want you to stop yourself. Todd: Oh, you are such a lawyer, man. There had to be a catch with you. It's not like you could ever just be on my side. Téa: I am on your side. I've always been on your side. And that's why I want you to think about how this will affect Starr and Jack and Blair. Todd: Oh, who cares about Blair? Téa: You do. You love her, Todd. You always have and you always will. If you take those kids away from her, it'll kill her. Todd: She's the one who's taking the kids away from me. Téa: Yeah, so you know what it feels like. You love her far too much to hurt her. Todd: She's the one who's hurting me. Look, I know, I know -- I took her baby, told her that her baby was dead. So what? I brought the kid back. That wasn't easy. It's got to count for something. But then, no, does she forgive me? No. She takes the kids -- my kids -- and she takes off with them. Téa: Maybe she thought it was the only choice she had. Todd: No, no, no. Don't go taking her side on this. This is all her fault. All right, look, fine. She didn't want to be married to me -- I can almost understand that. But take my kids? I mean, she knows. She's making me do this. She knows that there is no way that I could go the rest of my life without seeing Starr and Jack. That's why I have to take them, and that's why you have to let me. Téa: Ok. Todd: "Ok"? Téa: Like I said, I'm not going to stop you. Todd: Right. [Phone rings] Todd: What? Ross: It's Ross. Forget about nabbing your kids. They're out of here. *********************************************** Antonio: I am not afraid to help you find this Mark guy for Rae. Keri: Oh, no? Antonio: No, I just think you're nuts to want to. Keri: Ah -- good cover, but I don't buy it. Antonio: Why would you think I'm afraid? Keri: Oh, I don't know. Because you're off your turf, because, you know, in Llanview, you're this hot shot detective cracking all the cases. But here in the land of "Magnum P.I." and "Hawaii Five-0," you know, I ask you to do something a little challenging -- Antonio: Uh -- wait a second. "A little challenging"? Honey, you asked me to find a guy named Mark. Mark who? Mark who may or may not ever have lived here, Mark who was here once, maybe for a day, maybe for a year at some point however many years ago? Keri: See what I mean? I ask you to do something a little challenging and you start throwing up roadblocks because you don't think you can come up with the goods. Antonio: Huh. I always come up with the goods. Keri: Ok. Then prove it. Help me find Mark. Antonio: I know what you're doing. [Keri chuckles] Keri: Well, I wasn't exactly subtle. So, are you willing to pick up the gauntlet? *********************************************** Asa: Everything I did they would have done to me if I hadn't done it to them first! I made myself, Gretel, a rich man so that my kids and their kids and their kids could live the good life. Rae: You are incorrigible. Asa: Proud of it. Rae: Oh, God. God, I wish you hadn't told me any of this. Asa: Yes, my dear, because you are obliged to keep my secret. Rae: Doctor/patient confidentiality. Asa: Exactly. I do know the law. Rae: Unfortunately, so do I. Asa: Let's get off the subject. Why are you so rattled when somebody calls you by your real name? See, I would think a fancy, big shrink like you would -- I don't know -- you'd have more self-control. Rae: We're all human, Asa. Asa: Well, tell me, why are you so touchy when somebody calls you Gretel? *********************************************** Al: Nice of you to show up. Cristian: There's still time before we open. And I wanted to give you and Jen a few minutes alone. She told me she was stopping by to see you, so don't bother trying to make a big deal about it. Al: Wasn't going to. Cristian: Right. Al: In fact, I didn't know fully what was going on between you two last night. I had no idea that she had to see her mom today. Cristian: Well, that's why she was so upset. It's not easy for her, you know, knowing what her mom did to Nora. Al: You know, she should really stop blaming herself, you know? I mean, your mom admits to you that she's committed this huge crime and begs you not to tell anyone. What was Jen supposed to do, run to the cops? The girl's got to cut herself some slack. I'm sure that's what you told her. *********************************************** Troy: Hey, are you ok? Cris stop by? Emily: Yeah, I let him have it. Troy: Good for you. Emily: And the creep stood there and tried to deny that he had a girlfriend. Troy: Sometimes you just can't tell, you know? Emily: He sure was cute, though. Hmm, those blue eyes. Troy: Blue eyes? No, Cristian -- Cristian doesn't have blue eyes. Emily: Oh, yeah, he does. Troy: No, he doesn't. Emily: Troy, I was just looking into them. Troy: Em, I see him every day. The guy lives in my building. Emily: Tall guy, blond hair, blue eyes. Troy: Tall guy, brown hair, brown eyes. Are you sure his name was Cristian? Emily: No, I told you I was only sure that it started with a C. Troy: Oh, no, there's -- there's another guy that works down there in the bar. He's tall, blond hair, blue eyes. I don't know his name, but -- Emily: Oh, no. I don't believe this. Troy: Oh, Emily, I am so sorry that this happened. Emily: You're not the only one. *********************************************** Todd: Blair's taking the kids where? Why? Ross: I don't know. She was real vague. But we're all heading out to the airport any minute. Todd: Get down here right now. Téa: They're leaving? Todd: Yeah. Téa: When? Todd: I -- I don't know. Téa: Well, where are they going? Todd: I don't know. Téa: Well, what are you going to do about it? Todd: Nothing. Téa: Yeah. You're planning something, and I want to know what it is. Todd: No. Leave me alone and go away. Go, go -- you know what? Go somewhere and let them eat cake. Téa: No, I'm not going to let them eat cake and I'm not going to leave you alone. I am going to help you. *********************************************** Chad: You wouldn't give me a chance to talk before, but now you're going to. Emily: I -- Chad: Hey! It's my turn, ok? I don't know what kind of game your brother was playing by telling you I had a girlfriend or why you even bothered to believe him without asking him -- Emily: I made a -- Chad: I don't! I don't have a girlfriend, Emily. And if I did, I would not be running around on her because that's not the kind of guy I am. Emily: Will you -- Chad: And the reason I brought you this flower is because, where I grew up, when you like somebody and you're going to take them out, you bring them something nice. Emily: Will you just shut up for a minute! I'm trying to apologize here. Chad: You are? Emily: I was wrong. I thought your name was Cris and that you managed Break Bar, and that's who my brother said had a girlfriend. Chad: What? You thought that -- I'm not Cristian. I'm Chad. I'm the assistant manager. Emily: I finally figured that out. [Chad sighs] Emily: And, by the way, that's a beautiful flower. Chad: Try again? Emily: Thanks. Do you think maybe we could start this day over? Chad: Sure. Just let me go tell my girlfriend I'll be gone for a while. *********************************************** Al: You did know about Jen keeping her mom's secret all these months, didn't you? Cristian: It doesn't matter whether I did or not. Al: Man. I was sure she had told you. I'm sorry. I'm going to have to do some major apologizing. Jen: Hey. Cristian: Hey. I was just about to call you. I thought you'd left for Statesville. Jen: Yeah, I forgot my sunglasses. What's wrong? Cristian: Why didn't you tell me that you knew about what your mom did to Nora Buchanan? *********************************************** Rae: Just so you know, I wasn't upset when you called me Gretel. Asa: You could have fooled me. Rae: I was upset because you were acting like an -- an obnoxious adolescent. Asa: Ooh. Is that so? Rae: Well, you know, given our other sessions, you being so close-mouthed, I never had any idea that I could prod you into telling me your deep, dark secrets and how you made your little fortune. Asa: We all have secrets, don't we, Gretel? Rae: That's not my name anymore. That was a long time ago. Asa: Everybody's got secrets except you. You are just a nice lady who likes to help people with their problems. Right, Gretel? See you around, babe. Rae: If you only knew. *********************************************** Keri: To finding Mark. Antonio: When we're not doing all the other great stuff I want to do with you on Maui. Keri: I love you. Antonio: And I love you. *********************************************** Todd: Get -- Ross: Hey, come on. I don't have long. What do you want? Todd: What, I -- I want you to do what I'm paying you to do. Ross: Our business is over, man. Todd: No, no -- no, it's not. Not now. Now I want you to get the kids for me. Ross: You're nuts, all right? There's no way. They're leaving right now. Todd: No, they're not. *********************************************** Blair: Come on, Starr. Put a wiggle on it, ok? The bellhop's going to be here any minute. I need your bag. [Knock on door] Blair: Come on -- hey, the bellhop's here now! Hurry up! Come on! Look, there's another bag coming, so as soon as my daughter -- Téa. *********************************************** >> On the next "One Life to Live" -- Natalie: There's something wrong with Viki, and I need to know what it is. Cristian: Why would you tell Al and not me? Jen: So Al told you about this? Ross: Are you sure you want to take those kids from their mother? Blair: Todd sent you, didn't he? Téa: Yes.
