Regis: And now, live, for the next hour, "One Life to Live."

***********************************************

Antonio: You getting tired?

Keri: Me? Not at all. Why? Do you need a break, Det. Vega?

Antonio: Not that, but I do need this. So, why'd you stop?

Keri: I've got to head back if I'm going to clean up and get to campus on time.

Antonio: Oh, right.

Keri: And you? Next stop?

Antonio: The diner.

Keri: Say hi to your mother for me. Glad she's in my corner again.

Antonio: Me, too.

Keri: Bye.

Antonio: Bye.

Antonio: I'll see you soon.

***********************************************

Keri: Ok. Max: Oh, man. Oh. What did I do last night? And why did I do it? Oh!

Max: What the –

***********************************************

[Knock on door]

Troy: Starr? What are you doing here? Why aren't you in school?

Starr: I snuck out. It's ok. No one noticed. I had to see you right away.

Troy: What's wrong, honey?

Starr: I need a favor -- in exchange for saving your life when you were on the wheel.

Troy: Anything. Name it.

Starr: Can I come live with you?

***********************************************

Niki: Hello. I'm waiting over here.

Woman: May I help you, ma'am?

Niki: Those muffins fresh?

Woman: Just out of the oven.

Niki: What's still warm?

Woman: The blueberry muffins are downright hot.

Niki: Blueberry it is, then. Stick six of them in there, sweet cakes? Don't break any of them.

[In black and white scenario]++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Bo's voice: She blew into my life like a winter storm slams in from the Atlantic. And I knew the minute her lovely gams were lit in the pool of light my desk lamp threw on the floor that this dame was trouble -- big trouble. And the kicker was she was my brother's wife.

[Knock on door]

Niki: I baked these with my own two little hands. Blueberry's your favorite, right?

Bo: Blueberry muffins? For me?

Niki: To thank you for listening to me. If I didn't have you to run to when Ben gets so out of control --

Bo: Aw, Viki, I don't mind.

Niki: Bo, you're the best friend a woman could ask for.

Bo: I want to be so much more than your friend, Viki. I want to be --

Niki: You want to be what, Bo?

Bo: You know, my darling. I know you know.

Niki: Say it. Say it, Bo.

Bo: Ok, I will. I want to be your everything.

Niki: I want that, too. Bo: No.

Niki: No? Bo: My heart says yes. But my mind --

Niki: You're right. This is wrong. Not like this. Not while I'm still married to your brother Ben.

Bo: Oh, Viki.

Niki: Oh, Bo.

Bo: No. Please go before it's too late.

Bo's voice: I've fallen for her. By golly, I've fallen for that woman hard. But what about Ben? How do I tell my very own brother his marriage is over? I'll find a way, my darling. No one will keep us apart.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Niki: So I play queen Victoria a little while longer. I can handle that. It's going to happen. I'm going to be free, free, free.

Rae: What's the weather like on cloud nine?

Niki: [As Viki] Oh, Rae, I was daydreaming.

Rae: Judging from your expression, things have turned around for you and Ben.

Niki: They are turning around. They certainly are.

Rae: I'm glad.

Niki: Yeah, well, got a million things to do before Allison Perkins' sentencing. I'd love to stay and chat, but -- bye.

Nora: What the heck was that all about?

Rae: I have no idea. She's obviously running away from something.

Nora: I know the feeling. I think I may be doing the same thing.

Rae: Is that why you asked me to meet you? What is it, Nora? What are you running away from?

Nora: Colin McIver. Troy's twin brother.

Rae: Colin? Are you sure it's Colin? Maybe it's Troy.

***********************************************

Téa: Any chance a girl can get a fresh cup of Joe here?

Carlotta: For you, anything.

Antonio: Téa. Buenos Dias.

Téa: You, too. Keeping in shape. That's good, Antonio. Looking good. I'm going to miss this.

Antonio: What do you mean? You just got here.

Téa: And now I have to go.

Carlotta: But we've hardly had a chance to visit.

Téa: I know, Carlotta. But I really need to leave Llanview right away.

Antonio: Wait a minute. Something changed. What happened?

Téa: I saw Todd last night.

***********************************************

Todd: Blair? Blair? Anybody home? Suzanne? Hedy? Is anybody here?

Sam: I am.

Todd: Where's Blair?

Sam: She's gone, Todd. Blair's left you.

***********************************************

 Roxy: Morning, Max-a-million.

Max: You --

Roxy: Yeah. I had a feeling that I could make you forget your problems with your kid.

Roxy: How could you tell it was me? I think I hit the jackpot more than once.

***********************************************

Gabrielle: Bo. I didn't expect you back so soon.

Bo: You going somewhere?

Gabrielle: I decided to leave on my own. Rather than force you to throw me out.

Bo: That's very considerate.

Gabrielle: Selfish, actually.

Bo: How so?

Gabrielle: I didn't want to see the disappointment in your eyes again.

Bo: So you decided to slip away before I returned home?

Gabrielle: Now that you know I was blackmailing Todd, what else was there to do? You'll never trust me again.

Bo: Going to be hard, that's true.

Gabrielle: For what it's worth, I regret lying to you.

Bo: Why didn't you tell me the truth? I gave you all kinds of chances.

Gabrielle: And I lied, as usual.

Bo: Do you always regret it afterwards?

Gabrielle: I don't like getting caught.

Bo: Well, that's honest.

Gabrielle: But this time, the regrets come from a different place. What a fool I was. I really believed I'd be the best fashion editor. I thought if I worked hard enough, it would nullify the devil's bargain I made to get the job in the first place.

Bo: So it didn't work, huh?

Gabrielle: It started out with one lie, but by the time it was over --

Bo: I warned you about Manning. You can't trust him.

Gabrielle: You were right. The part that I feel worst about is that I've been a lousy friend to you, and I'm sorry. May I please go now?

***********************************************

Nora: How can I be running away from Troy when I was about to make love with him?

Rae: What happened? What, did you stop it?

Nora: Colin was in the bed with us. I had no choice.

Rae: Would you please tell me how you managed to get close to Troy when he's the twin brother of the guy who hurt you?

Nora: He may look like it, but she's so different from him in every other way. Troy is kind and he's gentle and he's romantic and he's wonderful with Matthew. I feel wonderful when we're together.

Rae: Have you told him that?

Nora: Yes, I have. Many times.

Rae: So the only thing that happened was you were in bed with Troy, and then Colin got in the way, right?

Nora: I'm starting to get uncomfortable with this conversation.

Rae: No, no, it means we're getting somewhere. What does making love with Troy for the first time mean to you?

Nora: That we're together for real.

Rae: You'd been with Sam for a long time.

Nora: Yes.

Rae: You were with Sam many times.

Nora: We planned to spend our lives together. I didn't think I'd have to explain it to somebody else, try to please them, relate to them. It's terrifying.

Rae: No one knows that better than I do. Most of us avoid anything that terrifies us. Your excuse just happens to be better than the ones most of us come up with. Yours is named Colin.

***********************************************

Troy: I'd love to have you live with me, Starr, but won't you miss your parents terribly?

Starr: They're why I have to move out. They don't think I know, but I do.

Troy: Know what?

Starr: Mommy took Jack and me to a hotel last night -- without my dad. She pretended it was just for fun, but I'm not stupid.

Troy: Honey, no. You're not stupid. Did your parents have a fight?

Starr: The biggest one ever. Mommy doesn't want to be with Daddy anymore. That's why I have to live with you -- to show them.

Troy: Wouldn't it be better to stay and help your mom with your little brother?

Starr: You don't get it. I want to be with my mom and dad, but it's just it makes me sad when we're apart.

Troy: Of course it does.

Starr: So if I leave, they'll be sad and they'll realize they're being stupid and it's no fun this way.

Troy: That's an interesting plan, Starr.

Starr: So, you got an extra bedroom? I'm small.

Troy: Let me explain a little bit about how grownups think.

Starr: They dot think.

Troy: Good point. Sometimes they don't. But I'm pretty sure that your parents love each other very much. Unfortunately, sometimes when two people really love each other, they can fight really hard.

Starr: What if they don't make up and we never live together again?

Troy: I don't know. But I do know that, even if your parents can't live together, it has nothing to do with you. Sometimes it's impossible for two people to be with each other, no matter how much in love they are.

Starr: It's stupid.

Troy: I know it is. I'm really sorry that you're sad. But this may be just one of those things you have to learn to accept.

Starr: But how can I accept it when I love them so much?

j***********************************************

Todd: Where's Blair? Where are my kids?

Sam: Starr's at school and Jack is with his mother.

Todd: Where, Sam? Where did she go?

Sam: She doesn't want you to know, Todd.

Todd: Doesn't want -- what are you doing here? This is my house and my family. You can't just come in here and stick your nose in the middle of all this.

Sam: It doesn't have anything to do with you.

Todd: Then tell me where she is and go.

Sam: That's not the way it works, Todd. Not anymore.

Todd: What are you talking about?

Sam: Blair needs someone she can trust.

Todd: That would be you? After you blew up her entire world?

Sam: I'm not the one who did that, Todd.

Todd: Yeah, you did. You just had to tell Blair what I did.

Sam: She already knew, Todd.

Todd: From Alex. Alex, for Pete's sake. I could've spun that.

Sam: No, you couldn't.

Todd: Yeah, I could have. If you'd just kept your big mouth shut.

Sam: I couldn't do that this time.

Todd: Blair was happy. She was the happiest woman in the world. She was so happy it was ridiculous. Like a fairy tale.

Sam: It was a fairy tale, Todd. None of it was true.

Todd: You wrecked your life and you couldn't stand to see anybody else happy.

Sam: Don't go there, Todd.

Todd: You're a loser, Sam. You are. You couldn't even hold on to Nora, like she's some prize.

Sam: You heap Nora out of this.

Todd: The way you left Blair out of it? Home wrecker.

Sam: You told her her baby was dead, not me. You put her through hell.

Todd: She was over it.

Todd: You'll do this, right? You go to her and tell her to come home. She'll listen to you.

Sam: What?

Todd: Could do you that, Sam? Could you get Blair to forgive me? Could you do that for me?

***********************************************

Bo: Why didn't you tell me what was going on?

Gabrielle: I didn't want you to think badly of me.

Bo: Every time I think about it, I get more angry with you. That whole thing with Pa. You could've wound up back in Statesville prison then. Didn't that convince you to change, even a little?

Gabrielle: I thought I had, but then Asa threw me out on the street and Al had his accident.

Bo: So when push came to shove --

Gabrielle: I admit it. I didn't deserve the faith you had in me. You're right to be furious with me.

Bo: I'm furious with myself, too. You took that style editor job for all the wrong reasons. Well, I've -- I asked you to move in here for all the wrong reasons, too.

Gabrielle: To punish your father for faking his own death.

Bo: And for putting us all through hell.

Gabrielle: And now I've put you through another kind of hell.

Bo: Everybody tried to warn me about you, but I wouldn't listen. So, you see, you're not the only one who was kidding yourself.

[Knock on door]

Gabrielle: That's my ride.

***********************************************

Troy: I know how you feel. I love someone who can't be with me, either.

Starr: Do you miss them?

Troy: All the time.

Starr: That stinks.

Troy: Yeah, it does stink. I'm really glad I got you for a friend. But you do know you can't live with me, right?

Starr: Yeah.

Troy: Yeah. We had some fun, though, huh?

Starr: We would. Do you have to call my mom right now?

Troy: Not just yet. I have something for you.

Starr: A present?

Troy: Something like that. To remind you you've got a pal. Did you know I collect stamps?

Starr: That's so geeky.

Troy: Yeah, I know.

Starr: Spiders. Like the one that crawled on me when you were on the wheel.

Troy: I'm really glad she didn't bite you.

Starr: Me, too.

Troy: So what do you say, want to take a walk with a geek? I mean, I don't want to ruin your reputation here.

Starr: You're not a geek, even if you can't help me get my mom and dad back together.

Troy: I'm sorry about that, Starr.

Starr: I guess I've got to learn to live with it.

Troy: Let's call Mom from the car.

***********************************************

Nora: Colin terrorized me. He's not just a convenient excuse like "the dog ate my homework".

Rae: Nora, please understand,

Nora: Colin was a psychopath.

Rae: Absolutely. And Colin and Troy are very different people.

Nora: Totally different.

Rae: Just as Troy is very different from Sam and Bo and Hank.

Nora: What are you getting at, Rae?

Nora: Your relationship --

Rae: Your relationship with Troy, it's not run of the mill, is it?

Nora: I wanted nothing to do with him. I fought him every step of the way.

Rae: Including when you stopped yourself from making love to him. Maybe Colin didn't get in your way. Maybe it's you.

Nora: You're good. Very good.

Rae: You know what? You're about to make this big leap. No one would argue if you blamed it all on Colin.

Nora: I want him out of my head now. How do I get Colin out of my head?

Rae: You look at Troy and think about all the ways he's different from his brother.

Nora: That's every way -- except his face.

Rae: Good. Then look through his face and see the man he really is. Hear what Troy says to you. And listen to your heart.

Nora: I think I'd better go for a walk. I need to think. Rae now, listen. When you see Troy again, remember, listen, really listen to your heart, and then you'll know if it's right or if it's not. Ok.

***********************************************

Carlotta: Stay away from Todd Manning.

[Speaking in Spanish]

Antonio: Mami, wait. Remember what happened with Keri?

Carlotta: This is different.

Antonio: Why don't we let Téa explain what happened before you go on the warpath?

Téa: I was on my way back to the hotel and I stopped off for coffee. I never expected to see Todd there, but --

Antonio: Did something happen?

Téa: I froze. I don't know how long I stood there. Then I turned around and left.

Carlotta: He didn't see you? Gracia dios.

Téa: I ran away.

Antonio: Good. Manning's dangerous, especially when he doesn't get what he wants. And you dumped him.

Téa: I know that, Antonio. I know I should stay away from him --

Carlotta: You have to.

Téa: The only problem is I don't want to.

***********************************************

Sam: I really thought you and Blair had a chance. I thought you were happy.

Todd: We were. Until you butted in.

Sam: No. You did what you always do. Every time you have a chance to do the right thing, you blow it. Every single time,Todd. But to tell Blair her baby was dead, to give that little boy away just because you were jealous --

Todd: Of Max. We're talking about Max here.

Sam: But Blair is the one you hurt, not Max.

Todd: I didn't mean it, Sam. I didn't know Jack was my son.

Sam: But he was Blair's son. You broke the heart of the woman you love out of pure spite! You don't deserve my help or Blair's love. It's over, Todd.

Todd: Hold on a sec. Blair understands me. I can explain things to her. Just tell me where she is.

Sam: No. I will not be a part of Blair forgiving you. In fact, I'll do everything I can to keep her away from you.

***********************************************

Roxy: Slow down, baby. You're making the room spin.

Max: Look, Roxanne --

Roxy: I'm looking, lover boy. And I'm liking what I see.

Max: I don't know how I ended up in bed with you.

Roxy: The usual way. You couldn't resist.

Max: I'm sure that's true. But the thing is I don't remember much about last night.

Roxy: Let me refresh your memory.

Max: Oh!

Roxy: I don't want to make you dizzy.

Max: Oh, I must have been really drunk.

Roxy: I told you not to mix.

Max: If I did anything to offend you in any way, I apologize.

Roxy: You got nothing to be sorry for. We made beautiful music together. Sheet music. You know what I mean?

[Roxy laughs]

Max: Please, could you keep the cackle down?

Roxy: Sorry.

Max: The thing is I'm not ready for a, you know, relationship right now.

Roxy: You think I was born yesterday?

Max: Thank you for understanding. I'm sure it was great, but -- no hard feelings?

Roxy: Too bad you were blotto because last night was once in a lifetime kind of thing.

Max: Sorry I missed it. You're one terrific gal, Roxanne. Now, if you don't mind -- oh, man -- what --

Roxy: You going to hurl? Max-a-million?

Max: Could you please not call me that?

Roxy: Whatever you say, hot lips. What is it, sweetheart?

Max: You have to tell me, last night -- did I gamble?

***********************************************

Niki: [As Viki] Am I interrupting something?

Bo: Well --

Gabrielle: I was just leaving.

Bo: No, Gabrielle. No. I'd like you to stay.

Niki: Oh, ok. I just stopped by to thank you for telling me what Todd did to Blair and for, you know, helping me with my other little problem.

Bo: My pleasure. How did everything go today?

Niki: Well, sort of status quo. Anyway, I baked these for you. Muffins. I hope you like blueberry.

Bo: They're my favorite. Thank you. I'm sure Gabrielle and I will enjoy them.

Niki: Good. Bon appetite. Both of you.

Bo: Thanks again.

Niki: Yeah.

Gabrielle: Did you mean that? Are you saying you want me to stay?

Bo: Yeah. So, what do you say? Will you?

Niki: Every single time I get close to Bo, that free loading bimbo gets in my way. I'll fix her. Hello, Asa? It's Viki. I'm terribly worried about Bo. I would like to see you as soon as possible.

***********************************************

Carlotta: You have to fight him, tea. Todd Manning is like an addiction. He is a devil.

Téa: I know who he is, Carlotta. But sitting there last night, he looked destroyed. Something's wrong.

Antonio: Something's always wrong with Manning. You got together when he was losing custody of his daughter, remember? You felt sorry for him then, and it almost got you killed.

Téa: Yeah, I remember.

Carlotta: It's like a curse, R.J., Todd.

Téa: I know. That's why I'm leaving. And if I stay here, I'm bound to run into him, face to face. And then -- I don't know what would happen.

Sam: Téa? Is that you?

Téa: Sam.

Sam: Téa, you remember my son, Matthew.

Téa: Hello, Matthew. You are big.

Matthew: Hello. Antonio.

Carlotta: I got some great plan for you.

Matthew: What's plan?

Sam: Thanks.

Téa: How are you, Sam? What is it? What's wrong?

Sam: Nothing I want to talk about.

Téa: Is it Todd?

Sam: Believe me, you don't want to know. Because I'm not about to let you get sucked in by Todd again.

***********************************************

Todd: Blair? I don't blame you for not picking up. But when you get this message, will you come home? I can make this up to you. But first you got to come home. Please.

***********************************************

Roxy: Don't worry, baby. You told me about your gambling problem, so Roxy looked out for you.

Max: Thank you.

Roxy: The closest you came to betting was kissing my dice like they'd never been kissed before.

Max: Oh.

Roxy: You are one good luck charm. I won big. Bigger than I ever dreamed of. Bigger than you can even guess, handsome.

Max: Exactly how big was that?

Roxy: That's for me to know and you to find out.

Max: What do you mean, Roxanne? How do I find out?

[Knock on door]

Roxy: Could you get that, darling? I'm not decent.

Man: Good morning. Oh, and lest we forget -- Congratulations.

***********************************************

Bo: You know, before you moved back to Llanview, I was in love with someone.

Gabrielle: Yeah, Melanie McIver.

Bo: That's right. You met her.

Gabrielle: I know the two of you broke up. I was never completely sure why.

Bo: She lied to me.

Gabrielle: Oh.

Bo: But, you know, she said the reason she had such a hard time telling me the truth was because -- maybe I just expected too much. She said I was too good. Those are her words.

Gabrielle: I don't know, though.

Bo: She said I was some perfect guy that didn't understand that people make mistakes.

Gabrielle: Oh.

Bo: And Gabrielle, you know, everybody makes mistakes, including me.

Gabrielle: There are mistakes and then there are mistakes.

Bo: And I've made both. But somehow, I've gotten this reputation for having impossibly high standards. You know, it's -- so people I care about lie and cover up so they don't disappoint me. Like you did.

Gabrielle: I could have told you the truth.

Bo: But you were afraid I'd be disappointed, right? Maybe I really do expect too much of people. Maybe I really do have too high standards. I think maybe I ought to just --

Gabrielle: Lower them?

***********************************************

Niki: Good, good. Oh, you're both here?

Asa: The last time you acted like your house was on fire.

Renee: I'm sorry. I hope this is ok. We thought you were so worried.

Niki: [As Viki] I am. Here's the problem. Gabrielle's been in league with Todd for months.

Asa: They deserve each other.

Renee: I didn't think she was that bad.

Niki: Apparently, she is.

Asa: Good. Now Bo'll kick her out of his place and she'll be back on the street where she belongs.

Niki: But that's what worries me, Asa. It seems like Bo and Gabrielle are getting even closer.

Asa: What?

Niki: I was there. Gabrielle was packed and ready to go, and Bo actually asked her to stay.

Asa: Has he gone loco?

Niki: Obviously. You have to do something, Asa. You have to do it now.

Asa: Wait a minute. You want me to meddle in my son's life? Why all of a sudden are you so interested in Bo?

***********************************************

Starr: You're the best, Dr. Troy. Don't forget, I'm your friend, always.

Troy: Let's make a deal. I won't forget that as long as you don't forget how much your parents love you, whether they're together or not.

Starr: Ok. Spit swear?

Troy: High five instead.

Starr: Mommy. Look what Dr. Troy gave me.

Nora: Troy. Don't go. Please wait.

***********************************************

Renee: I agree with Viki, Gabrielle's dangerous, combined with Todd.

Asa: You don't have to convince me, Renee. Last thing I want is to see Bo get hurt again.

Niki: So you'll do something?

Asa: I have an idea. Rae Cummings, come here. I got a proposition for you.

***********************************************

Bo: That came out all wrong. I didn't mean I'm lowering my standards. I just --

Gabrielle: Want to break a pattern?

Bo: Exactly. Exactly. I don't want to blame other people anymore.

Gabrielle: So -- you really want me to stay?

Bo: If you want to.

Gabrielle: What do you want, Bo?

Bo: I've kind of gotten used to having you around. What I mean is -- yeah. Yeah. Stay.

Gabrielle: Ok.

***********************************************

Man: Oh, my goodness.

Max: What is all this?

Man: It's our newlywed breakfast special. I must say again, congratulations. I think you and Mrs. Holden will have many very happy years together.

***********************************************

Carlotta: I wish Téa didn't have to go. She's like family.

Antonio: At least this way we know she's not sticking around to see Todd. [Speaking in Spanish] May she never lay eyes on that man again.

***********************************************

Todd: Blair, I love you. I know I don't always say it, but I do, and I'm sorry. I am so sorry. If can you find a way to forgive me, I will find a way to make it up to you for the rest of your life. Oh, that sucked. How about this -- I'm a rat. I'm a lousy rat. I'm a lousy, stinking rat -- if you leave me, I will be without one hell of a tax exemption. I want you to forgive me.

[Doorbell rings] Todd: I knew you'd --
